Vegan Burger Demo by @gan_goodfood at @wvdmalaysia! 🍔💚 - Made a simple video to capture the moments of my student's cooking demo on 11.11.2018. 📽️ - Gan shared her personal story about why she became vegan, and gave tips and ideas on how to do so. One of the dishes she enjoyed eating was burgers so why not make a vegan one!🌱 - Awkward Trivia: I kinda fought with an uncle to get my front row seat...he was heading toward the chair and I *rushed* and ran and dove into the chair and then when he wanted to sit in the chair next to me I put my hand to "chope" it as it was for Mr Jazz Guitarist. He must have been wondering why I was so aggressive. 😅 Congratulations Gan for persevering through and not giving up even though you were nervous. (Don't worry, I was nervous last year too). Since you've already conquered this, other public demos will be way less scary!👏👏👏 - Also good job to @yeeshan_n who was assisting in every single way possible from setting up, to clearing and making sure the demo table always looked presentable, to taking photos, to videos, to correcting your sis' pronunciation, to giving her encouragement. 👍 And also a shoutout to @wolf_mulan who assisted Gan the day before in making all the samples and preparing for the demo. I don't have a picture of Whei Li & I at World Vegan Day Malaysia 2018 so am just putting up this pix instead.🌱 - This post is in tribute to her and to thank her for all the amazing work she has done for the past two World Vegan Day Malaysia events. As raw vegan chef AND as an Artiste Manager, I've had to deal with numerous organisers - some bad, some good and an a handful of them are excellent. Whei Li falls under the excellent category. She is everything my dream organiser would be. Courteous, respectful, calm, detailed-oriented, patient, understanding, very reasonable, dedicated, passionate and the list goes on. She tries to meet as many requests from me as possible, and when she is unable to do so, she respectfully explains why. She sends out helpful reminders. She does everything in her capacity to ensure that I have the most positive experience ever at World Vegan Day Malaysia 2017 & 2018. Not just at the cooking demo I conducted, but for the entire event. - The speakers were interesting, the food stalls had so much variety, the time-keeping was excellent, the vibe was simply wonderful. 👏 Thank you so much Whei Li for all you've done, not just me but for everyone at your events! I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me. 😘 Sometimes I complain so much about bad organisers, I forget to tell the excellent organisers that they've done a first-class job. Bentong Ginger Crackers (raw vegan) & Rawtella by #RawChefYin. . Lighting sucks big time and I really don't have any ideas on how to plate crackers and rawtella with no natural light but hey, Mr Jazz Guitarist had this for dessert and I wanted to capture it so here it is. . The ginger crackers are still chewy after dehydrating for 12 hours so I'm gonna dehydrate it for 24 hours to see what it's like then. . Mr Jazz Guitarist loves them. So I made Rawtella, which is a much healthier version of Nutella. And this one is using @organiculesuperfoods so I'm gonna call it my Superfoods Rawtella!🍫 This time around am testing out my recipe with @gulamelts coconut nectar.
