Tumblr media
Parents should't have to pay a fee to sit next to their children when flying, according to the White House, which is moving to ban airlines from charging families extra to be seated together.
Under a rule proposed Thursday by the Department of Transportation, airlines would be required to seat parents and kids 13 and younger together free of charge when adjacent seating is available at booking.
2. A spinal injury killed Adriana Ruano's dream as a gymnast. She just won Guatemala's first Olympic gold medal as a shooter.
Tumblr media
Ruano was training for the 2011 world championships in gymnastics, a qualifier for the London Olympics the following year, when she felt pain in her back. An MRI showed the then-16-year-old had six damaged vertebrae — a career-ending injury.
But on Wednesday, she came back as a shooter and won Guatemala's first Olympic gold medal.

4. Afghan Sisters Escape The Taliban To Achieve Olympic Dreams

5. Stem cell therapy cures man with type 2 diabetes
Tumblr media
A 59-year-old man had been suffering from diabetes for 25 years, needing more and more insulin every day to avoid slipping into a diabetic coma and was at risk of death. But then Chinese researchers cured his disease for the first time in the world. The patient received a cell transplant in 2021 and has not taken any medication since 2022.
6. Seventh person likely 'cured' of HIV, doctors announce
Tumblr media
A 60-year-old German man is likely the seventh person to be effectively cured from HIV after receiving a stem cell transplant, doctors announced on Thursday. The man received a bone marrow transplant for his leukaemia in 2015. The procedure, which has a 10 percent risk of death, essentially replaces a person's immune system.
7. Every country has now banned the use of leaded gasoline in cars
Tumblr media
Three and a half decades later, in 2021, Algeria became the last country to ban it. Leaded gasoline is now banned from being used in road vehicles in every country. It is a big win for the health of people around the world.

Hey, dude!
I can’t believe that I’m making this and that we are reliving 1989 based on what happened in 2019 but you know what. 1989 has been the most important piece of work that came into my life of yours. I will never forget as my body was tarnishing from my Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis in Aug of 2014 when you were on top of the ESB in NYC in that beautiful white dress announcing the record, to me 2 weeks later starting high school which as you know was such a difficult time in my life. Out Of The Woods was what unambiguously got me through 2014-2015. The tour for this record meant everything to me as it was the first time I finally got to see you in person since being a fan since 2006. Screaming “She Drives Me Crazy” before the lights went down and the iconic taxi beeping intro began forever remains the most iconic thing of you to do ever. When I think of listening to Clean (Taylor’s Version), I think of my 14 year old self and how much that song has been a pinnacle part of my belonging since it’s initial release. This song has been my favorite of yours for 9 years now. I’m so excited as I’m now 23 to take it all in again, jump to HYGTG and IKP, and belt out WTNY in this new collective manner. An incredible amount has gone on since we’ve last spoke or chatted on here, but your words that you shared with me follow with me each day that I go and create change in the world. My mom talks about you all the time and 5 years later has not moved on regarding your genuine kindness and appreciation that you showed to her at rep Pittsburgh. Here’s to being a college grad (can you believe that we graduated 2 days apart last year), and beginning my 1989 era, pt. 2. I thank you for changing my life with 1989. October 27 is really just a special day, am I right! Love and miss you, dude :) - David @taylorswift

The Shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Parade at Union Station.
In 2015, the Kansas City Royals won the World Series. It was the first time one of the city's major sports teams won a national championship in twenty years. Schools declared a "blue snow day" in September. They knew that children would be pulled out of school to join the celebration.
I was one of those children. Fourteen-years-old. My parents and I went to it. We sat right under the big tree next to the World War II Museum. I had Warrior Cats books loaded on my phone, because I didn't yet realize I needed classes, so I couldn't see the stage. I snacked on a baggie of Froot Loops I'd snuck in my pocket, careful to save some for my diabetic mother. We hadn't been allowed to bring bags.
I had three worries: One, that my mom's blood sugar would get too low. Two, that someone would grab me and drag me into a van. Three, that at any moment, there would be chaos. Explosions, bangs. I wasn't thinking about fireworks, except to wonder if I would be able to tell the difference between gunfire and a firework.
Luckily, the biggest tragedy was that the mic or the speakers didn't work, and most of the crowd ended up leaving.
Kansas City has shootings daily. Nothing mass, not until now. I can't lie, I expected this to happen much sooner. I expected it to happen at the Chiefs parade in 2020. Same again last year. It just seemed inevitable.
Ten people hurt. Children hurt.
It's Valentine's Day. People cry false flag, staged, immigrants, gun control, the Libs, the GOP. It's donald trump, it's a leftist lunatic.
It was some guys with a gun.
To think, two and a half decades ago this would've had people glued to their screens, frozen in shock.
Today, I'm folding laundry.
It's never going to end, is it?

When I grew up, senior housing was 55 and up. I would see the '55+' banners all over the city.
But now, I assume because the retirement age keeps rising, senior housing in Detroit is 62 and up.
My mother is living in hell. She's 58, has diabetes and CAD, and depression. She's in an apartment that is infested with bedbugs and roaches. This was supposed to be housing for people like her and was in 2015 when she moved in, but in recent years, it's been spiraling into this....
She is in a housing program, and her worker just got her into a new apartment. Everything looked good after two months of gathering paperwork. She was approved. She was just waiting on a move-in date. And today, they've just gotten word they can't accept her because she's under 62.
So, that's some real-world impact of the American politics I post about all damn day.

Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day is celebrated on May 21. This is the perfect time for the availability of all our favorite fresh fruits and vegetables. We believe including fresh fruits and veggies in the diet is necessary for a healthy life. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day is dedicated to a cause. The increase in obesity and lifestyle diseases among American people is a major concern nowadays. This is a day to remind us of the importance of fresh food, which helps us lead a healthy life.
History of Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day
Ever wondered who started the cultivation and farming of vegetables and fruits? We only have a vague idea about the start of cultivation. We know we used to forage for nuts and fruits as far back as 1,00,000 years ago. During that time, our ancestors observed that the seeds they threw away created new plants.
The understanding that we could manipulate plant growth was perhaps one of the greatest discoveries of the ancient world. Most scientists agree that proper cultivation started only around 30,000 years ago. Initially, farming was a concept associated with grains and cereals. However, the practice soon expanded to include fruits and vegetables as well. Fruits and vegetables are good sources of necessary vitamins and minerals.
There are records of Romans using greenhouses to cultivate vegetables and fruits. The vegetables and fruits available nowadays are different from their ancient counterparts. Selective breeding for nutrition and edible quantity changed the shape, color, and even the taste for the better. But today, the trend has changed as we all opt for fast food.
This decision contributes to the obesity crisis and the formation of deadly lifestyle diseases. The growing number of people affected by unhealthy eating caused the Dole Food Company to take action. They created this holiday to educate the world about healthy eating and spread awareness about conditions such as obesity.

It depends on each person, their health conditions, and body weight. But generally speaking, around 14 ounces per day is good.

Why We Love Eat More Fruits and Vegetables Day
It can reduce the risk of various diseases
Vegetable and fruit diets are cruelty-free
It can reduce our carbon footprint
This is not a secret, but a non-vegetarian diet can cause numerous health issues. Diabetes, heart attack, stroke, obesity, e.t.c. are all companions of meat consumption. Adding more vegetables and fruits can help reduce these health conditions before they manifest.
There is a long battle raging between vegetarians and non — vegetarians. A vegetarian diet is relatively less cruel as no killing or maiming is involved. A major argument is that plants are also alive, but plants are not sentient like animals and do not feel the same kind of pain. So it is a relatively cruelty–free diet.
Meat production negatively affects our environment. It is a demanding process and needs a lot of water and food. The byproducts can add to the greenhouse gas emission and thus to global warming. The same amount of investment in cultivation can yield better output and reduce carbon emission.

“Developing a food allergy/intolerance/restriction as an adult is very hard and everyone's process in adjusting is different. Even if you feel like things won't get better, it will become more normal, and you will be ok. I promise I promise I promise.”
I have a question. How long should it take for things to feel more normal? Maybe I have a few things conspiring against me, but I just can’t feel normal. I was diagnosed with celiac without ever having symptoms (or at least without having symptoms I ever tied to consuming gluten). I was so skeptical when I got the call from the doctor that I laughed. The reason I was tested was as part of diagnostic work up for type 1 diabetes diagnosis that landed me in the ICU at age 35. My DGA and TTG were through the roof but I was very skeptical. I’d been eating bread every single day! The endoscopy came back as Marsh 3C so I started coming to terms with the fact that I was, indeed, in danger.
That traumatic series of diagnoses was all in summer of 2020. I’ve had to use insulin, started eating low carb, and have been avoiding gluten. The first two I got used to. The gluten avoidance through is honestly the one bothering me more. The fact that I can’t really eat out anymore, not without worrying a lot, because even if the place has a gluten free menu or markings, restaurants have been in a pinch since Covid and have taken a lot of shortcuts. I don’t really eat at friend’s houses. I don’t want to go traveling to places where I can’t know for sure that I’ll be able to find gluten free food. It’s just been miserable, I’ve been waiting for it to get more normal, but isn’t 3 years a long time?
I’m paranoid because I don’t have symptoms (I don’t know what it feels like to get glutened) but my antibodies have plateaued above the normal range and I can’t seem to get them to go lower. I’m sick and tired of having my world feel so small because I can’t eat most food. It doesn’t feel like it’s getting more normal, it feels worse and worse as the world slowly goes back to pre-lockdown socially while it feels like I’m the only left in food lockdown.
Thanks for any advice :(
Gosh that sounds like a ride and a half. I'm so sorry that your journey so far has had so many challenges. My answer is a little lengthy, so I'm putting it under a break.
To answer your question anon, it's really something that just depends. In my case, I was initially diagnosed with celiac in 2014. At the time I was also dealing with diagnosis and removal of a pituitary tumor, so because of that I kind of treated celiac as an afterthought--I already felt terrible in a million other ways, so I was pretty lax the change. I wasn't really given any education on how to adjust my diet or eating habits, or the risks associated with continuing to eat gluten. I sought a second opinion from a doctor that ended up knowing jack about celiac disease, and was given an IBS diagnosis instead (because I'd been eating GF for a year, they found no damage to my intestines, and I wasn't eating gluten at the time). From 2015 to 2020 I was back on eating gluten, but after I started having severe symptoms (again) I was rediagnosed by another (much better) GI team.
I have a few additional problems now because of the untreated celiac that I probably wouldn't have had I been better educated the first time around, and I'm pretty bitter about that sometimes. But I've also been very lucky to have such a good support network of people that understand and care about me, and that makes a lot of difference.
What I'm trying to say is that, while it will get better, it doesn't always feel like it. There are days that I really struggle with anxiety around eating in front of others, frustration over the lack of convienence, and the feeling of exclusion (or at least seperation) from meals with family, friends, and coworkers. I relate to you with the lack of symptoms--I've only been truly glutened once to my knowledge, but additional GI issues I have always have me on high alert. I'm also currently dealing with unexplained elevated TTG/IGA levels, despite being extremely strict nowadays.
Doing my own research and starting this blog really helped me to focus on the things I can do rather than the things I can't. I also just kind of brute force my way through things that gave me anxiety before, like taking my food with me to friends' houses or restaurants. I've been through so much, I no longer care what people think lmao
Basically your mileage is going to vary. I wouldn't say that these things have a set timeline, and I personally think the mental part of dealing with a diagnosis like celiac takes twice as long to heal from compared to the physical part. It sounds like you're struggling especially hard with feelings of loss and detachment. That's not uncommon, but you may benefit from talking about all of this with a therapist, or just reaching out to a friend to say you're struggling.
Give yourself credit--you've gotten so far from where you were. And remember, even if you feel isolated, you're not dealing with this alone.

Hello! I absolutely love your posts and they always put a smile in my face!
I have a question, what if Marty was diabetic? I know it's a strange question but I was thinking about it the other day.
Would he be able to access insulin throughout his journey?
Hi there! Glad you enjoy my posts :) I enjoy writing them.
This question is very interesting to me, because it is not the first time I've come across the "Marty is diabetic" concept. I've seen it being discussed on Reddit and have encountered it on here as well. It's truly one of those headcanons that sort of makes me scratch my head, but it does fascinate me. From what I've seen, people usually pull the headcanon from 1. The chocolate Marty keeps by his bed, citing it could be his go-to method for moments his blood sugar is low (particularly if it's dark chocolate, which is good for keeping blood sugar levels stable) and 2. The scene in Lou's diner when he asks for something without sugar, citing that he generally has to be careful he doesn't indulge in too much sugar during the day.
Fascinating. I love those ultra-specific, fringe headcanons where people take a little detail and spin a whole story with it.
Anyway, to address your question: thankfully, Marty would be good to go as far as accessing insulin for (most) of his travels. Insulin was administered to a diabetic person for the first time in 1922, and it became widely available shortly after. By the 1950s, disposable syringes became available, whereas metal ones had been used previously. (Thank you website detailing the history of insulin. Very helpful.)
Now, assuming Marty wouldn't have brought any supplies with him to the mall parking lot, one of his top priorities upon arriving in 1955 would be to get his hands on whatever he needed. However, I don't think he would have had the opportunity until he found Doc, at which point--upon finally earning the man's trust--he would have had to recruit Doc's help in procuring insulin. Do I think they would have been able to do that in that first night? Sure. So, Marty would have been okay in 1955.
Same for 2015. Since Doc went to pick up Marty to bring him to the future, he likely would have had the foresight to bring along insulin and whatever else. In this "Marty is diabetic" headcanon world, Doc would absolutely be on top of things and have supplies of his own for "just in case". This would leave Marty taken care of for 1985A as well.
1885 is a different story, obviously. Diabetes during that time was a slow and painful death sentence. BUT! 1955 Doc surely wouldn't have sent Marty to the Old West without ensuring he had a large supply of insulin and whatever else he needed, having factored in the possibility of the trip lasting longer than a few days. Doc wouldn't want to take any chances.
So, overall, Doc would have all the bases covered and Marty would be okee dokee.
Thanks for the ask!

Hey, are you ok? I saw your type1 diabetes post. I’m sorry you’re having a rough time, it certainly sounds like a lot to deal with. Just know we’re here for you. Try reaching out to anyone around you that may be able to support you. You are strong and you’ve been through horrible things before, so I have every faith you’ll get through this hurdle. In the meantime, just take things a step at a time x

(If you think of my blog as a positive, happy place just please don’t read this)
Mention of some serious stuff

I just can’t live with this dude. It’s been terrorizing my life for 7 years now. It ruined my relationship with my family. It ruined my body image. It gave me an eating disorder. It ruined my plans for the future. It has ruined me mentally, completely. And now it is currently ruining me physically.
The is by far the most horrible thing I’ve ever dealt with. Correction: I’m not dealing with it…
I want a cure, like yesterday.
I’m slowly going blind, man. I have been crying because of this shit every day since I was diagnosed at 14. I know a lot of people deal with it daily, but I’m not one of those people. Everyone experiences everything differently. I want to end it all every week. I’ve been stuck in a body and a mindset of a 14year old. I can’t live in the present anymore. Every day I wake up hoping I’m actually okay and it was all a dream. Thats what I’m hoping for when I…game over. I won’t tho. There’s that one hope that they find a cure. I can’t think of me as diabetic, I hating talking about diabetes stuff, I hate it all. I want my old and happy self back.
I heard news about some development about the “cure” recently. But it’s in a testing phase. I wanna be a tester though…I just don’t know how to apply. I’d travel to the other side of the world and would get a loan (that I’d have to pay back for the rest of my life) to pay for it too.
I’m so relieved I could finally vent about this. Not nearly enough was said, but I don’t want people to think “that’s all?”. I couldn’t take that. Because, again, others might live with this shit and all but I was ruined for good. I became another person. I got traumatized. I literally can’t move on. I’m stuck in 2015, I’m never gonna accept it, I’m destroying myself….I don’t want people reading this not taking me seriously. No one ever does. I’m ever crying just typing all of this. I hate it. I hate it sm, with all my being. I don’t want to get better mentally until I’m having this chronic illness. I wanna wake up
I’m going back to pretending that everything is fine and forget about my problems. Thanks for listening.

Yay! Tom’s lab results are great! His TSH is 3.25 (lucky guy), and his cholesterol is low, though it has always been low. His glucose is 84, and he said he can't remember it ever being that low. His A1C has dropped from 6.2 to 5.8, which surprised me. While it’s an improvement, it’s still considered pre-diabetic; I thought the pre-diabetic range was 6.0 to 6.4, but it’s actually 5.7 to 6.4. So, he’s still slightly pre-diabetic. This gives me hope that if cutting back on sugar could drop him four points, it could bring me into the normal range since I was at 6.0. Genetics could still eventually work against us, but this gives me hope for the immediate future.
There’s no way my cholesterol will be even close to good, but hopefully, my TSH won't be too out of whack. I'm going to try my best to get it into the single digits, but I won't increase the vitamins until it gets closer to my lab appointment.
Even though I'll never lose weight, and I doubt Tom will either, going keto is definitely the smart thing to do. It’s much healthier. Yes, most sugary snacks do taste better than sugar-free ones, but there are still plenty of yummy sugar-free options. The cookie dough fat bombs I made were so good that Tom only let himself have one because he knew he’d get carried away, lol. They’re very sweet and rich-tasting. The brown sugar substitute called Swerve is amazing—it looks, tastes, and smells like the real thing!
The next thing I’m going to try is making my own cheese crackers. I got ultra-thin Sargento cheddar cheese, and after cutting each slice into fours, I'm going to lay them out on parchment paper and bake them at 250° for 45 minutes. It says to check every 5 minutes, and I will because we do have a bit of a kick-ass oven.
I can’t take Zyrtec anymore. It makes me sleep too long and leaves me groggy and hungover the next day. I’m still a little fuzzy-brained, and I got up at 7:30 p.m. I’m going to have to use the spray, but only when the congestion gets bad. I just hope that if we ever move, I don’t have epic sneezing fits wherever we go.
I’m still not sure if there are any foods that leave me tired the next day, but I spotted an entry of mine from 2015 that mentioned feeling perkier since cutting back on carbs. I had good energy yesterday and the day before, but I also took ibuprofen before bed, and I wonder if that’s why I slept sounder.
Yesterday’s glass of wine made my heart race. I don’t know why, but it does this every now and then. Maybe I sipped it too quickly. I probably won’t have any tonight.
I began watching FBI and like it even if there’s too much of America’s favorite subject. It’s by the same producer, Dick Wolf, who produced Law & Order.
The Muslim guy with a leading role was quoted as saying he wants to show the world that Muslims and Arabs aren’t bad.
LOL, yeah, tell that to the Israelis.
I might watch PD True as well.
I was about to edit and post this but then I ended up taking a 90-minute nap. I don’t know why, but it’s been a wonderfully plane-free night since I first got up early in the evening. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever gone that long without hearing something flying up there. Ironically, it comes after yet another complaint to the FAA, but I don’t think it’s connected to that—people just don’t care.

Medical Billing Market: $16.8B to $27.7B Growth Forecast (2024-2029)
The "Medical Billing Market Size, Share & Trends by Product (Software, Service), Application (RCM, EHR, Practice Management), Type (Account receivable, Claim, Coding, Analytics), Service (Managed, Professional), End User (Hospital, Speciality), & Region- Global Forecast to 2029" report highlights substantial growth projections. It anticipates the market to escalate from $16.8 billion in 2024 to $27.7 billion by 2029, at a notable CAGR of 10.5%. The global medical billing market is experiencing significant growth, driven by increasing patient numbers, the rising complexity of medical billing and coding procedures, expanding healthcare insurance coverage, and growing healthcare expenditure. The need for regulatory compliance and the shift towards electronic health records (EHR) integration and digitalization also contribute to this growth. Outsourcing medical billing services for better revenue cycle management and adopting advanced technologies such as AI, cloud solutions, and automation further propel market expansion. The growing geriatric population and prevalence of chronic diseases increase the number of insurance claims, driving the demand for medical billing solutions. However, the high cost of deployment, including maintenance, software updates, and training, poses a restraint, particularly for small healthcare facilities. Opportunities in the market include the rising demand for AI and cloud-based deployment to optimize billing processes and reduce errors. Data security concerns and the risk of breaches remain significant challenges. The market is segmented by component, facility size, end users, and region, with North America holding the largest share in 2023. Key players in the market include Oracle, McKesson Corporation, Veradigm LLC, and others.

Global Medical Billing Market Dynamics
DRIVER: Growing patient numbers and the ensuing expansion of health insurance
The growing geriatric population, the chronic diseases pervasiveness, and the burgeoning demand for quality healthcare in global healthcare are these days posing an increasing strain on the global healthcare system. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that the number of people aged 60 and older is expected to grow from roughly 900 million in 2015 to about 2 billion by 2050. The CDC stated that chronic diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease (CVD), diabetes, and respiratory diseases cause approximately 70% of deaths in the US every year. In addition to this according to Eurostat, 21% of the Europe population was aged 65 and over, compared to the 16% in 2001.
Restraint: High cost of deployment
Factors influencing the cost of medical billing services include the volume and complexity of services handled, impacting the need for extensive billing resources. Medical billing systems are expensive software solutions, with maintenance and software update costs often exceeding the initial purchase price. Support and maintenance services, which include software modifications and upgrades represent a huge recurring expenditure. This contributes to a large portion of the total cost of ownership. Additionally, the healthcare industry often lacks internal IT expertise, necessitating end-user training to maximize the efficiency of medical billing solutions, further increasing the cost of ownership. Post-sale custom interface development for software integration also requires additional verification and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness, adding to the overall expenses.
OPPORTUNITY: Rising demand for AI and cloud-based deployment
Using machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics to shorten drug discovery times, give patients virtual help, and speed up illness diagnosis by analyzing medical images, combining data and artificial intelligence (AI) can potentially improve outcomes and save costs. Because Al can optimize both clinical and non-clinical processes, it is becoming increasingly popular in the healthcare industry. This is because Al can solve a wide range of issues for patients, providers, and the industry as a whole. With Al's assistance, manual and repetitive processes that arise during patient access, automated coding, expediting claim processing, lowering billing errors, collections, and denials can all be automated. When AI is combined with medical billing, it can mimic intelligent human behavior and carry out these tasks more precisely
CHALLENGE: Concerns about confidentiality and data security
The shift to digital medical records has amplified data vulnerabilities, escalating the risk of breaches. Issues include inadequate internal controls, outdated policies, and insufficient training. While technologies like EHRs and health data exchanges enhance healthcare efficiency, they also widen security risks. Safeguarding proprietary data and applications remains a pivotal challenge hindering the growth of the medical billing market.
The global medical billing industry is segmented by component, facility size, end users and region
By component type, the service segment accounted for the largest share of the medical billing industry in 2023.
The medical billing market is segmented by component type into software and service solutions. The service segment accounted for the largest market share in 2023. This segment is further sub-segmented into managed services and professional services. The service segment holds the largest share in the medical billing market because of its critical role in providing complete solutions and specialized knowledge that expedites healthcare providers' billing processes. These services include vital tasks like medical coding, claims submission, denial management, and revenue cycle management to maximize reimbursement and financial performance. The dominance of the service segment is further supported by its capacity to provide scalable solutions that can adjust to changing patient volumes and practice sizes, as well as by its dedication to upholding compliance with strict healthcare laws like HIPAA, which guarantees patient privacy and data security.
Request Sample Pages:
The cloud based deployment model is the fastest growing segment in the medical billing industry.
Based on deployment, the medical billing market is segmented into on-premises model, cloud-based based model and SaaS based model. The cloud-based model Medical Billing market is poised for significant growth in the forecast period. As these solutions benefits over conventional on-premise options. First off, cloud-based medical billing systems lower startup expenses and increase accessibility for smaller healthcare businesses by doing away with the requirement for upfront hardware infrastructure investments. Second, these systems are scalable, which frees healthcare providers from the limitations of physical infrastructure to quickly modify resources in response to shifting patient volume and commercial needs.
Large-sized facilities accounted for the largest share of the medical billing industry share in 2023.
Based on facility size, the medical billing market is segmented into large, mid, and small-sized facilities. Some important variables drive the expansion of large-scale facilities in the medical billing industry. The rising cost of healthcare and the intricacy of medical billing procedures call for sophisticated billing solutions, which major facilities can provide. These facilities offer a wide range of services necessary for effectively managing large numbers of patient data and transactions. These services include revenue cycle management, coding, compliance, and claims processing
North America accounts the largest share of medical billing industry in 2023.
Based on the region, the medical billing market is segmented into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East and Africa. In 2023 North America accounted for the largest share of the Medical Billing market. The need for effective billing solutions is being driven by integrated billing systems, a complicated and varied healthcare payer landscape, strict regulatory compliance requirements like HIPAA, and substantial healthcare costs. The area also benefits from a sizable patient and healthcare provider base, which encourages competition and innovation among medical billing service providers and technology vendors.

What Ever Happened to Tila Tequila?
Hey hotties, so for my first blog I want to talk about someone who I had somewhat of a fascination with when I was younger and that's Tila Tequila, for the younger people who have no idea who this woman with the funny name is, Tila Tequila is.. or was a television personality, singer/rapper, blogger, occasional actress, socialite, and model. But most importantly, she was pretty much the world's first social media influencer. See, after being suspended so many times on the now-defunct Friendster, Tila Tequila joined MySpace in fall of 2003 and by 2006 she became the most friended person of the MySpace. From what I've read, I believe she was apart of a rock band at the time of joining MySpace but that's kind of irrelevant to the story, anyhow, in 2007, MTV offered Tila Tequila her own reality show, the concept was a dating show that offered both male and female bachelor and bachelorette's, respectively titled A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila (Get it because Tequila and Shot?). So bam not only was she the most followed person on MySpace but now she was a pioneer for the bisexual reality television world. The show ran for two seasons and although she picked a gentleman named Bobby, they never even went out together let alone ever have her phone number. The following season, she picked a girl named Kirsty but in the biggest plot twist, Kristy rejected the offer and gave the world (me at least) one of the best season finale's in dating show history, with Kristy looking at the mansion one last time before entering the limo to leave Tila all alone crying in her bedroom to "Keep Driving" by Woodale I mean it was really good to me at least. The show was then handed down to the bisexual twin hooters waitresses Rikki and Vikki Mongeon better known as the Ikki Twins. Around this time, Tila began dating bisexual socialite and would be heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune Casey Johnson (who I will be making a blog on) and on December 9, 2009, Tequila announced via Ustream, her engagement to the socialite. Unfortunately on January 4, 2010, Casey Johnson was found dead inside of her Los Angeles estate by a housekeeper. Casey's cause of death was later revealed to be diabetes which she had struggled with from the age of 8. In my opinion, this was the beginning of Tila's mental downfall. Although, Tila had began to rebrand herself as a blogger under the name Miss Tila and began coming out with more music, in August she was attacked at the Gathering of the Juggalos festival. The same month, her lesbian sex tape was released to the public via Vivid Entertainment. Tila went quiet after this and the only thing I could find was that in January 2012, she discussed converting to Judaism, stating "I just feel like the Jewish people have such a beautiful way about them, and I can't wait to officially be Jewish! Shabbat Shalom." Strangely enough, in 2013, she uploaded a blog which she titled "Why I Sympathize with Hitler." She went on to say the following, “What do you think war is about? People DIE in wars that is why I am against wars… I understand the Jewish people went through some shit too, but hey guess what?? SO DID THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WHO SUFFERED IN EVERY SINGLE WAR THST [sic] TOOK PLACE! You were NOT the only ones! So please, if the rest of us can forgive and forget maybe it’s time you do also!!!”
Flash forward to 2015, Tila Tequila is invited to go on the British version of Celebrity Big Brother alongside Farrah Abraham, Jenna Jameson, and Daniel Baldwin. At the time, Nguyen (Tequila's surname) was looking to be payed $175,000 win or lose the game. During her time in the house, she got a long with housemates and seemed to be off, not mentally there, overly sexual (regardless of claiming to have a boyfriend at home), and at times, human. However, on day two, she was called to the diary room, however long later, the housemates were called into the living room and told the following, "Due to events outside the Big Brother house, Tila has been removed from the house." Accoring to what I've read, production confronted her about the 2013 blog. The following day, Tila issued a statement,
"Back in 2013 I made a statement about Hitler not being a bad person, and immediately realized soon after that I had made a terrible mistake that would ultimately come back to haunt me. During that time I had been suffering from severe depression, and drug addiction for many years prior to that" She continued, "I also attempted to commit suicide in 2012 and overdosed on prescription pills. I wanted to die. I felt worthless and unloved as that pain continued to grow causing me further to spiral out of control. Losing touch of myself and reality.
"I have made many mistakes that I am definitely not proud about, but I am only a flawed human who is trying my best to be a better person than I was in the past. Although I cannot do much to change my past mistakes now, I can however, try to make things right from this morning forward, and be the best person that I can be. I am in no way, shape or form a racist nor antisemitic and absolutely not 100% a Nazi supporter."
Apparently this apology meant nothing because the following year, on November 18, 2016, Tila posted a photo to twitter of her with two white men posing with the Nazi Salute to which she titled "Seig Heil". Her twitter account was subsequently suspended.
In 2018, she began posting YouTube videos reffering to herself as the "Bride of Christ" and turned into this religious... for a lack of better words, freak. She didn't seem to be doing too bad until around 2022 when she posted a video slurring the N word with the Hard r and pulled out a gun (I dont know the rules on her so i dont know if I'm allowed to say that) which i believe was fake but none the less, her kids were around and it just seems dangerous. She would say her children are Hitler babies and I don't know I mention all of this to show the mental decline of someone who was actually pretty famous and well off to a terrible...person I guess?
Now if you ask me, I think that Tila was going through a lot, as stated in the 2015 apology, I do think she is bipolar, she openly talked about having many alter ego's, one being named Jane which she mentions in her song Rat Room, but I honestly feel sorry for her, and I feel sorry for the kids, I just think if she was medicated none of this would be happening. I also think Casey's death took a toll on her mentally as well.
Well, I've been writing this for 3 or 4 hours which yes I know it's short but I had a lot to say about this situation.
Until next time, you know you love me, XoXo,

International Yoga Day: Embracing Wellness, Unity, and Global Harmony
Tumblr media
Every year on June 21st, the world comes together to celebrate International Yoga Day—a day dedicated to honoring the ancient practice that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Recognized by the United Nations since 2015, this global observance highlights the profound impact of yoga on individuals and communities worldwide.
The Essence of Yoga: Mind-Body Harmony
Yoga, originating from ancient India, is far more than a series of physical exercises. It embodies a holistic approach to health, combining physical postures (asanas), controlled breathing (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation techniques. This integrated approach not only enhances flexibility, strength, and balance but also nurtures mental clarity, emotional resilience, and a profound sense of inner peace.
A Global Celebration of Unity
International Yoga Day transcends borders and cultures, uniting millions in the shared practice of yoga. From bustling city centers to tranquil retreats, people of all ages and backgrounds gather to participate in yoga sessions, workshops, and community events. It serves as a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness and shared commitment to well-being.
Scientifically Proven Benefits
The health benefits of yoga are well-documented and supported by scientific research. Regular practice has been shown to reduce stress levels, improve cardiovascular health, boost immune function, and aid in the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Furthermore, yoga's emphasis on mindfulness and relaxation contributes significantly to mental health, offering effective tools for managing anxiety, depression, and enhancing overall psychological well-being.
Yoga: A Pathway to Inner Peace and Global Understanding
Beyond its physical and mental benefits, yoga promotes unity and peace on a global scale. By fostering a sense of compassion, tolerance, and respect for diversity, yoga encourages individuals to transcend cultural differences and embrace a shared commitment to personal and collective well-being. It serves as a powerful catalyst for building bridges and promoting dialogue in our increasingly interconnected world.
Yoga in Modern Society: Nurturing Wellness Amidst Challenges
In today's fast-paced and often stressful world, yoga provides a sanctuary—a space for individuals to reconnect with themselves and restore balance amidst the demands of daily life. As more people integrate yoga into their routines, its influence extends beyond individual health to foster healthier communities and a more harmonious society.
Looking Ahead: Embracing the Legacy of Yoga
As we commemorate International Yoga Day each year, we reaffirm our dedication to the timeless principles of yoga—health, harmony, and unity. It is an opportunity to celebrate our diverse cultural heritage while embracing a shared vision of a healthier, more compassionate world. By continuing to promote the practice of yoga globally, we can create lasting positive change for generations to come.
In conclusion, International Yoga Day celebrates the universal appeal of yoga as a pathway to holistic well-being, unity, and global harmony. It invites us all to explore and embrace the transformative power of yoga, both individually and collectively, as we strive towards a brighter and more peaceful future.
