when you combine this with the efforts to extend retirement age to 70 and over, it's very clear that our politicians, but specifically gop conservatives, are hell-bent on sacrificing the population at the altar of capitalism. they want us to start working earlier and to work longer into our lives, all while not paying a living wage and raising the price of just about everything. it is the continuing evil of capitalism run amok.

I think, given that I have a whole master's degree in leadership, I should be allowed to skip this class on library management.
Unfortunately, I cannot, and instead have two business days to find a manager/department head/director who isn't over me and is willing to let me research a managerial problem/issue they're dealing with and then give feedback on my report.

I just saw someone say it was in poor taste for OFMD season 2 to have “Izzy apologize for letting Ed mutilate him” and I took 10,000 psychic damage. Just say you don’t think emotional abuse counts and go.

Y'know what gamers I have to be honest for once I really think davesport fans who hate on harrysport (and the others) for being a boss/employee dynamic are just being dumb that man literally killed his love interest by shoving an eggplant up his urethra for misclicking a phone number and you want to take the moral high ground and tell me that's better or a ship than two business partners hitting it? Get real.

small little thought
jinchul is carrying small pins on him in case his hair gel eventually gives out and hair will start to become disheveled while he’s still working and they’re mostly invisible
and then jinwoo swaps them for really cute ones so next time jinchul uses his pins he ends up looking like a disheveled mess but now with flavor of cute hair pins (that jinwoo probably asked jinah to pick without any explanation) because he still needs to work

Ep 5!!!
#Episodes that make me go “The author has never talked with a woman ever” 😓😓😓#I don't like how Lucy's character is handled at all. And I feel like I can't talk about it because I'm just going to sound like a bitter–#ss/kk shipper... But I really don't like it. And if it can help my case I'm a multishipper so I really don't take any–#issues with atsu/lucy I like the ship quite a lot actually.#So you're telling me there's this girl... Who meets this boy who pretty much ruined her life by directly causing her to lose her job...#And the next time she sees him she's going to sacrifice her own freedom for him as well as tell him “when you're done doing your things–#come and save me” (longest ewwww ever)... And when she regains freedom (author didn't bother to explain how because they don't care)–#she goes to work... As a waitress at the café beneath his workplace. So he can keep doing his Cool Superpowers Job while she literally–#must serve him every time he visits the place. It's just ?????????????????????????????????#Look‚ I don't dislike Lucy and I feel general affection towards her. It's just that they make her act like no one ever would#Just for the sake of the plot I guess#And like I knoww it's (probably just a little) more nuanced than that. I know Lucy is living her own fairy tale fantasy.#It's just that what I've said about her story is still true‚ you know?#I'm sorry but as sweet as atsu/lucy can be. I really hate the author for making Lucy a waitress. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.#It's so weird. This anime has women writing standards that feel like dating back to the 20s#Same with Katai and the ideal woman tbh. Like why are women to be seen as this abstract impersonal entities? Why can't they just be people?#Ideal for WHO. It's like super screwed up of a concept. What even is an ideal woman? What does it mean to be a woman anyways?#They just want to say “ideal wife”. But women aren't made to be wives their existence isn't functional to another person.#Sorry. I derail. Next episode is going to be even worse on this front ughhhh#Back to the episode: once again it really shows they were running out of budget with this season‚‚‚ the animation looks very suffered#Too many flashback also... I feel bad for the animators tbh#I don't really like the shift in art style :( Not even Atsushi I found particularly pretty this episode my heart cries#The nail pulling thing made me feel like throwing up afhsjyabfsbfwasfvb I feel like I can bear worse gore but there's a couple of little–#specific things I can't stand and this seems to be one of them pffftttt#I like Higuchi I think she's both very funny and cool. I really wish she was explored more (but then again looking at Teruko... )#The relationship between Kunikida and Katai looks so interesting even though we only get glimpses of it. Kunikida regrets Katai leaving–#the ada but is also happy for him but also worries for him. He comes to his house seemingly to check on him and starts cleaning around.#The way he loves him and cherishes their friendship and shared history is really evident and it makes for a compelling dynamic.#Perhaps I should read their short story... In any case. Going to someone's house and compulsively start doing the dishes half out of will–#to help out half because he can't bear the mess sounds a lot like something I'd do lol

What the fuck is up with our minimum housing standards? Why is it even an option to have a 500sq ft apartment?! Every living space ahould be designed to be a properly sized god damned home. It's not like we're lacking the land to have this be possible.
Any time a living space is created, there needs to be a minimum of like 900sq ft for a one person home, and multiply that by like 1.5 for every additional planned occupant. No one shouod be cramped.
And this isn't even getting into proper closet space requirements, safety standards, outlet availability, natural light requirements, noise dampening standards, quality of building material standards, and everything else related to housing that makes living more of a pain than it needs to be.
There needs to be a humane standard of housing quality for everyone. Housing should also just be a right and free. Rent and mortgage is a scam, and landlords/realtors need to be dragged into the street and "disposed of".

Oh my GOD I didn't listen to Making Adjustments until now and oh my god. I think this is the most scared I've been of a statement genuinely.

Weird recognizing a study I've worked with in the wild. Like ASPREE, I know that one, everyone hated it because it stole our coworker away to work exclusively on it for a bit while we were already short-staffed

AN OPEN LETTER to THE U.S. CONGRESS
Put the Good Jobs for Good Airports standards in the FAA reauthorization bill!
104 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!
I’m calling on you to stand with working people, passengers and our communities by supporting Good Jobs for Good Airports standards (GJGA) in the FAA reauthorization bill. Airports should and can be strong, vibrant drivers of good jobs in every part of our country. The Good Jobs for Good Airports standards are central to that mission and our nation’s future prosperity. Billions of our public dollars are invested in our nation’s aviation system every year, and we must ensure that our public resources serve the public good. That includes ensuring airports better serve the needs of our families, our passengers, our communities and the airport service workers who make it all possible.
It is evident that our air travel industry is in crisis. From record flight cancellations during summer travel peaks to mountains of lost luggage during the holiday travel season. Airports are critical publicly-funded infrastructure vital to the health of our local communities and global economy, but right now airports aren't working the way they should for travelers or airport service workers — a largely Black, brown, multiracial and immigrant service workforce. These working people, including cleaners, wheelchair agents, baggage handlers, concessionaires and ramp workers, keep airports safe and running smoothly even through a global pandemic, climate disasters and busy travel seasons. Yet many are underpaid and underprotected--even as some major airlines rake in record profit and billions of our tax dollars are invested in our national air travel system.
Domestic passenger numbers increased by 80% between 2020 and 2021, total industry employment fell by nearly 14%, leaving airport service workers to sometimes clean entire airplanes in as little as five minutes as many take on additional responsibilities outside of their typical job duties. Meanwhile, wages have barely budged for airport service workers in 20 years. The Good Jobs for Good Airports standards has the power to transform workers’ lives by ensuring airport service workers have the pay and benefits they need to care for their families.
The Good Jobs for Good Airports standards would help build a stronger, safer, more resilient air travel industry by making airport service jobs good jobs with living wages and benefits like affordable healthcare for all airport workers. Airport service workers at more than 130 covered airports would be supported through established wage and benefit standards, putting money back into hundreds of local economies and helping families thrive. If passed over 73% of wage increases will go to workers making $20 or less, estimates show.
I urge you to include the Good Jobs for Good Airports standards in the FAA reauthorization bill, and help ensure our public money serves the public good.

I used to have breakdowns and panic attacks at work quite often. Now, it's been more than six months since I had one.
What has changed?
Got rid of self-hate, suicidal thoughts and most of my insecurities.
Saw my colleagues' and employer's real faces when I asked to be moved to a less stressful section (like everyone else in the team do and get what they ask for). Loads of fake promises of training, favouritism, double standards and lack of equal treatment since I requested this. Apparently, I was there to do the job that everyone hated. I was there to do the job alone as they didn't bother to help. Up until 6 months ago I thought this was the rules for everyone (a.k.a everyone had to do the job alone and that everyone had the right to change section). Nope. Rules for them and rules for us.
Whenever I was having breakdowns I was feeling useless. Now I see why I was having breakdowns. It was mainly because I was being bullied and taken advantage of without noticing.
So, my point is: If you have breakdowns at work and, before you call yourself useless because of them, check 1. your mental health and 2. your work environment and the wannabe kind and loving people you work with. Try asking for what others get. Try setting boundaries like others do. You will be surprised by the outcome and see who your friends are.

Just when I thought the Pro Palestine zealots couldn’t stoop lower, here they are, taking fake decapitated heads and kicking them like Hamas did to the murdered Israelis.
These people are sick in a way that actually can’t be cured. All of them would 100% become murderers, or already are honestly. This is not normal behavior. It’s depraved in a way that’s not only shocking to witness, but should wake EVERYONE’s self-protection instincts the fuck up.
Toronto is one of those shitholes up in Canada full of native homeless people dying of fentanyl in droves, -there's a Twitter somewhere that documents people dying in real time- while the powers that be flood it with 'cultural enrichers' who provide so much enrichment that people desiring an easier cost of living have to leave for an area not controlled by leftists.
It has always been said in political circles that SJW leftists are the most vicious nasty close-minded hateful people who accuse you of what they themselves are capable of. If you react to their antics with any other than a perpetual thousand-yard stare, then you get accused of being a 'potential right-wing domestic terrorist', even though incidents of right-wing shit-stirring are almost non-existent. Even when conservatives protest, they are less likely to leave behind piles of trash and property damage.
Tumblr media
We're fighting a war that only the left is allowed to participate in. Everyone else has to stand around passively and endure whatever violence and browbeating they choose to hand out. Any pushback gets you labeled a violent bigoted Nazi (again, them accusing you of being what they are). The media-academia-law is on their side, so the only defense you have is to identify who the political zealots are and steer clear.
Side note: Matt Walsh did a video yesterday about lawfare against Elon Musk. He made the point that it's all women who make hostile work environment claims.
In my personal experience -maybe it's just me- women are more likely to harass you in the workplace. They are the ones making the snide comments or engaging in outright bullying. I've only ever been sexually harassed by other women. It's true I have a workplace stalker, but he has never ever made an inappropriate comment to me sexual in nature. None of them have touched me, but a few have gone into graphic detail about their sex lives or made lewd jokes, all the while giving me knowing looks expecting some sort of reaction. I'd stare at them deadpan like....I can't even guess what I'm supposed to say about this.
That pretty much sums up the leftwing experience. You can't even guess how to react because they believe that both morality and reality are fluid -the way they perceive gender- so there's no reliable sense of right and wrong or justice and fairness or concrete reality. We're held hostage by the whims of the Narcissistic dominant culture made up of emotionally driven toddlers who might say they are 3/4 male and 1/4 female on any given day.
In that context, it makes perfect sense to make a mockery of how Hamas murdered some random people at a music festival who were at the wrong place at the wrong time. They can side with murdering terrorists because they are brown and therefore not subject to the same sort of judgement you or I would face if we were to murder random people and kick around their severed heads.
