the other night I was working at this restaurant and the chef was going over the shop list for the week with the manager

and she says "we are out of shitake mushrooms but we still have Paris [how we call champignon mushrooms]"

to which he immediately responds "WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE PARIS" waiting for a laugh but only I got the joke and when no one reacted and someone said "yeah, there's a lot of it" I was like omg we are so old lol

thank goodness for bsd wan and the existence of teacher dazai. where would i be without you

based on a real-life conversation that happened with me and my students when i was a kindergarten teacher. very small children are some of the most ruthless and funny people i've ever met. it's an absolutely lawless land in the classroom (they were very sweet though!)
