This is the second video.

This one still has to deal with the goose patrol, however we are focusing on that actions of the dog.

This dog is absolutely amazing. Here is what I mean by that.

The dog will not go after people.

The dog will not go after other dogs.

The dog will not go after any ducks, or other wildlife.

The dog will not go onto the ice.

The only thing the dog does is go after the geese.

Also the dog will not touch the geese. If the dog ever touches a goose its instantly retired.

Now lets put that in a poem...

The dog will not chase those passing by, Not people, nor pups beneath the sky. It will not pursue ducks on the shore, Or wildlife that wanders—no, nevermore. The ice is forbidden, it stays on land, With steady resolve, it follows command. Its mission is simple, its focus is clear: To guide the geese, and keep them near. Yet never a touch, not a feather displaced, Its role is of presence, not of haste. For if ever a goose feels harm's embrace, The dog's work ends, and it leaves the chase.

Thinking about that one minigame from Green Lake where you nyoom around the place with Tooth Fairy. Thinking about it happening in a literal way is cracking me up.

Local dentist is sliding around on the ground, phasing through the fences and sucker-punching carbuncles and critters while looking for teeth. Dentist is also reminiscing how she got those teeth to a gaggle of college-age people and two teenagers (one of the teeth is from accidentally hitting someone with her car, another is from intentionally punching someone so hard they lose that tooth).

the boober dude has his consult with the specialist first thing tomorrow morning to get an official diagnosis and schedule the surgery. it’s incredibly obvious that he has a torn ligament but they like to do their own exam and diagnostics, so. we had a camping trip scheduled for the first week of august and i already have off of work for that, so i’m hoping to schedule his surgery right before it since he won’t be able to go camping anyway.

The reason kakashi didn’t teach team seven water walking is because it would have devolved into a full out water war with Sakura trying to drown Naruto between him jumping off increasingly high surfaces (or towers of clones) to make the biggest splash while Sasuke looked more and more like a pissed wet cat and eventually the three of them would have teamed up to try and get Kakashi just as soaked as they were.

Ah, help. I have no motivation to write but I want to work on one of my fics but I cant decide on which one...

Im too emotionally exhausted to write atm so its set to one week so I can pace myself lol

The first one is a multi chapter thats mostly funny with a bit of angst, the second is just me solidly trauma dumping and is super angsty (has a side of soukoku at the end), the third is ranpo and poe meeting after the several years but established relationship

hoopa is so unfortunate because despite being connected to oras and masters, there isnt a ton of content where it’s actually there and relevant besides the hoopa movie, which is considered the worst pokemon movie and kinda does hoopa dirty anyways by giving it a bad storyline and making it a frustrating character

"Surely there was a better way to convey this information" probably! That may be why I'm no longer asked to contribute to our social media page at work!

But its that season again and i want to remind everyone that just because an object is vest-shaped and floats does not make it a lifejacket. Only a Coast Guard approved PFD is tested and rated to save your life. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

This...thing pops up in searches for "child's inflatable lifejacket" and bills itself as such. But scroll down and we find an explanation:

In contrast to life vests meant to keep your head above water, our vest enables you to swim smoothly with your head in the water. It keeps you buoyant longer for a safe and enjoyable experience - without worry of surprise riptides or fatigue.

Catch that? This thing is not intended to and will not keep your head above water, the single most important thing a personal flotation device should do. What if you are in a riptide and fatigued while wearing this thing and not longer able to keep your breathing hole above the water's surface? You're shit out of luck. You drown.

Consumers may notice that there is a warning notice on the back, but the good people at Amazon have cleverly obscured it. We can still make out "does not protect [...] drowning". If your waterwings, floaties, or vest-shaped inflatable have a disclaimer like this then they are not rated to safe your life, your child's life, your dog's life, whatever!

By contrast, every Coast Guard approved PFD has labeling like this:

It will clearly say USGC approved and have an approval number. It will say WHO it is rated for (infant, child, youth, adult), the size (small, medium large), an upper weight limit, and generally what kind of recreation its approved for (near shore versus offshore etc). It will give you instructions for proper use and signs that your lifejacket is nearing the end of its utility and needs to be replaced.

Not all personal flotation devices are suited for all activities. Whitewater kayaking and deep-sea fishing need more specialized gear than a day at the lake. But you should have, at minimum, a correctly-sized, well-fitting, CG approved PFD in serviceable condition for any kind of activity on or near the water. Have it, but most importantly, wear it!!!!!
