Last night. Finished Midnight Mass on Netflix.

No. And that's kind of a shame, though I suspect that I mainly feel that way out of familial obligation.

competitive swimming, water polo, fencing, kung fu (to the extent that this is a sport). None recently.

yea id say the chances are pretty high the israeli military (not an institution famed for its honesty and transparency) made up the document showing that a majority of respondents think israel is going to win the war and that anything over lizardmans constants worth of respondents actively want the idf to rule gaza out of all available options(!!)

if hamas has had its thumb on the scale all this time to the degree being alleged what is with the many pcpsr polls over the course of the genocide showing support for hamas systematically lower in the gaza strip than in the west bank? seems like a pretty catastrophic propaganda fumble if they are able to freely distort more important poll trends in their favour

the democratic credentials of hamas as contrasted with fatah under the tenure of mahmoud abbas are not a simple matter of continued popularity in month-to-month non-binding opinion polls. the historical record is clear as day: it is hamas that won the legislative elections in 2006, it was fatah partisans and representatives that moved to militarily suppress them and hound them out of the west bank; it is hamas that has consistently called for new elections, it is fatah and abbas that have refused these requests in violation of the terms of oslo. nobody seriously takes bidens low approval ratings as evidence he is a democratically illegitimate dictator; in the unlikely scenario these poll results are not fabrications of one of the most notoriously mendacious militaries on the face of the earth, why should they speak any differently regarding the democratic standing of hamas?

Someone on here is accusing you of having doxxed and stalked people in different fandoms since like 2012 with text screenshots and I don’t want to believe it but… do you have any idea why that user has such a vendetta against you?

I’m inclined to take it with a heap of salt since OP and everyone reblogging it was tagging it shit like “UGH Chai’s a proshitter” and equating not inherently judging noncon and monsterfucking fic with… doxxing?? Which is insane (also imo anyone who uses the word “proshit” is not a serious person tbh, come on).

But I was wondering if you have any idea why that user is obsessed with you/why someone would say that (having claimed to be a ~personal friend of ten years~ only to… do that).

It seems incredibly sus but I don’t know the deal. I think the tumblr user is someone you’ve blocked because they tried to tag you in it but it didn’t highlight, so feel free to not answer if this is crossing a boundary—I’m just trying to figure out the other side of all this

Because I'm critical of their precious show and their precious Viv, that's why. That's literally the reason why, and they know it, and they do it because Viv's success has always been at least partially reliant on people silencing her critics.

Back in 2012, I was sitting on my ass reblogging Durarara posts...wasn't "stalking and doxxing" then, and I'm not now. I've made friends and I've lost friends over the years, and there's no denying I can be a confrontational asshole with spicy opinions, but when someone sticks around, I remember them. I think Everything Everywhere All At Once reveals some interesting (though perhaps not surprising) biases in our – or at least my – interent bubble, because my impression before, during, and shortly after watching it was that it was a Big Movie That Everyone Was Talking about (comparable to like Marvel movies or Inception) but then I saw that video about how the special effects were handled and looked up some of the budgeting and staffing info and realized that it’s much more modest scale than those.

But it’s not the least bit surprising that it saturated my internet circles – the bilingualism, immigrant narrative, handling of the generational divide and queerness, the universe hopping, and perhaps especially the philosophical underpinnings and sex toy jokes are perfectly hitting all of the major interests of me and/or people I talk to a lot.

this is a little tougher—you don’t post much about your personal life (unless you only do it when I’m asleep?) but from what I can tell, you’re a pretty well-adjusted guy, at least by the local rattumb-adjacent standards. maybe it’s just your incredibly diligent tagging and relative lack of original posts that give your blog the air of a coolheaded and organized person—it’s enviable. that said, you seem to have a designated tag for “failure,” so maybe that gives the lie to it. oh well, in either case, the tags are impressive unto themselves.
