Allenamento a casa #2 - Circuiti a digiuno
Come ho già detto, con questo magnifico tempo (insomma, magnifico... dove abito io attualmente abbiamo tra il 50 e il 70 per cento di umidità) mi piace allenarmi a casa a corpo libero nel mio giardino. Trovo molto funzionale l’allenamento a circuito, per tutti i benefici che ne derivano: tonificazione (con conseguente perdita di massa grassa), fiato, aria aperta (con possibilità di abbronzarsi =P).
Tendo ad allenarmi a stomaco vuoto o avendo bevuto solo un caffè amaro che essendo un termogenico aumenta l’effetto “brucia grassi”. L’allenamento a digiuno è molto utile se si vuole perdere massa grassa; si sfrutta l’ipoglicemia mattutina in favore dell’ossidazione lipidica, ossia il corpo utilizzerà i grassi come fonte energetica perché nel corpo non sono presenti fonti di glicogeno. Inoltre l’allenarsi produce endorfine che sono responsabili del senso di benessere, perciò durante il giorno avremo meno fame e saremo più rilassati. 
Chiaramente l’allenamento a digiuno, che sia una seduta di cardio (corsa o camminata o bici) o una seduta di allenamento a circuito, deve essere inteso per persone già allenate, per non andare incontro a crisi ipoglicemiche.

Circuito #1
Corsetta sul posto x20 + jumping jack x20 + skip alto x10 each
Affondo indietro monopodalico con appoggio su scalino e step up x10 each
Dips x12
Tenuta in sumo squat x20″
Circuito #2
Corsa blanda 50mt
Affondo back incrociato x12 each
Salti laterali alternati x10 each
Distensioni dietro la testa con manubrio x12
Plank x30″
Circuito #3
Corsa all’indietro 50mt
Jump squat x10
Slanci gamba tesa x12 each
French press x12
Spider plank x12 each
E per non farsi mancare niente un mini circuito x5 volte: 
Curl + shoulder press x12
Alzate laterali x12
Di solito il defaticamento lo faccio molto blando e poco stretching; non sarà quello che mi impedirà di sentire male il giorno dopo (amo i DOMS), ma giocare con il proprio cane per almeno 20 minuti alla fine dell’allenamento non ha prezzo.

WOOTD (depression mode)
As many reps as you need. Pause between sets for pangs of existential panic.
Beginners:
- Breathe
- Get out of bed
- Pet the dog
- Take your meds
Advanced:
- Wear something comfy that makes you feel human
- Try to eat something*
- Get some sunlight and air (even if you just open the window)
*(I hate that feeling when I am too weak and jittery to cook and too angsty to leave the house... Falafel wraps are borderline healthy and can be delivered!)
Expert:
- Try for some light exercise (a walk, a jog, yoga...)
- Don’t pin your mood on your loved ones (even if they triggered it)
- Acknowledge that you used to feel this way all the time and the fact that this registers as a crappy day is a success in itself.
