I seem to recall seeing another tumblr post about how cabbies in New Orleans won’t pick up people in certain areas of the city or drive to certain spots because of all the ghosts stiffing them on fares.

Cobboldia russanovi, an extinct, wooly mammoth parasitizing botfly.

Like other members of the genus, the larvae of these flies feed and develop in the stomachs and oral cavities of Proboscideans, and due to it’s specialization in wooly mammoths, it subsequently went extinct alongside it’s host.

Tomorrow is my 2 year anniversary at my job! 2 years kinda feels big, because at my last job I only got to a year and then I got laid off due to covid. I know 2 years isn't actually that much of a milestone, but tbh my last job kinda traumatized me a little lmao so I wanted to kinda celebrate 2 years with an employer I feel valued and supported by.

So, as I do when I want to celebrate an event, I bought some friends off my wishlist 😆 I love Charlie bears, but they are reeeeally expensive, so they're a very special-occasion kind of purchase.

I chose E. Normous the stegosaurus and Mighty the mammoth! I'm going to give them new names, I just have to decide what to call them! They're both so cute and soft and incredibly well-made, as is standard for Charlie Bears. I love them 🥹
