My first ever wood sculpture, it is of my oc Filamilly. She is a girl without a body who uses her hair to create a form

You will see she has flaws such as her right eye being a little messed up but what is a first try without a mistake! She looks a little nervous, coiling her hair like that... It's okay Filamilly..

My idea was to challenge myself to make something flowy and delicate while using a rather bulky material (in this case, wood)

I have created wooden toys in the past, but not a sculpture. This has been carved specifically from oak.

Brain wasn't really giving with yarn so I did some more pyrography!

Very proud so far! Now I'll sand it a bit more tomget rid of the tracing lines and then some watercolor!

Depression isnt kicking my ass at the moment :D actually showing up to some of my lessons and trying to get work done. Our brief thing said I had to make a stool and being the little hobgoblin I am I want to make a mushroom stool but based on cooler looking mushrooms not the typical toad stools you usually see when you look up mushroom seat. So making little test things atm and mmmm dopamine

Wooden toy Twp

Recently I am creating wooden toys, I have been a little shy regarding showing them here because I was not sure if they would garner interest.. I have more complex and bigger toys than Twp both complete and in the making but I'm showing Twp because I know some people like my sona and I finished it today and did photoshoot!

If you like this kind of thing please do let me know! Very encouraging! I never see people posting wood toys so I'm not very sure
