The pinhole cast on allows you to start knitting in the round from the centre outwards without getting a hole in the middle.

It is daylight, I must show off the spoils of war my Wollmarkt haul
Clockwise starting with that rainbow:
1 - Rambouillet fibre from Stefi's Wolle, yes it's truly that eye-searingly rainbow, yes I'm holding onto my Goth card with the very last of my strength. I'm going to spin it up fine and then chain ply to preserve the colours.
2 - Radnor fibre from Frau W枚llfchen in blue and red. Radnor is a very robust fibre, and I think these will make lovely three or four ply socks!
3 - impossibly soft and lovely skein of yak/silk, in a very specific greyish lavender tone, from Crenali Handmade. This basically doesn't count as new stash because I immediately handed it to comfy who will knit or crochet it up, together with one of my old handspun skeins. 馃槍
4 - a 500gr monster hank of sock yarn, in ten (?) progressive colourways, from InWollViert. Cool blues merging into dark cool greens. This is going to be a sweater tunic! If I ever dare to take this hank apart, it's just so fun to look at! Also it scares me a little bit.
This was an excellent Wollmarkt! We talked to so many nice people and lovely vendors and I really hope I can wear some finished items next year to show them. We also had heavy winds and extremely rainy bits and then the train line got shut down so getting back home was a bit of an adventure, but that's ok. That's worth it for the yarns.
#wollmarkt vaterstetten#fiber haul#we were so erfolgreich 馃グ#already looking forward to next year#you made such good choices

So, I got temperance and the hierophant
Tell my my secrets 馃槍
(kind of sad right now, that the hierophant isn't some kind of children's book character.... Der "Hiero-fant" Hurtons deutscher Cousin)
Awww, der w盲re der beste Freund von Morgensterns Nasobem :D
Interesting combination! The Hierophant (or High Priest) is a card of spiritual authority. It can be organized religion, but plenty of new religious movements have rules and regulations, fixed rituals, and a leader figure. Personally, I am a bit suspicious of this card - I am suspicious of "spiritual leadership" in any form. However, it's not inherently a negative card. Like all great leaders, at his best, the Hierophant is a mediator and a diplomat. Someone who brings connection and synthesis; who makes the spiritual approachable for the worldly, and seeks to bring harmony to his community. Someone who puts the needs of his people over his own. At his worst, the Hierophant is an authoritarian and a cult leader.
Temperance is also about synthesis, but this card is about integrating opposing things, thoughts, concepts... into something new. It's a card about finding the perfect middle ground, about creating harmony from chaos and conflict. It's a card that tells you you can't just disregard what you think is unfitting; instead, even the unpleasant things, that seem to cause nothing but trouble, have their place in the whole.
Together, these cards do actually point to someone who is a truly good leader. Temperance reels in the darker aspects of the Hierophant; Temoerance reminds him that a leader exists to serve his people, not the other way round. That true harmony cannot be forced, but has to be worked for and is hard-earned.
Would you excel in a position of leadership? That I do not know, but these cards point to someone who truly appreciates people, appreciates it when someone is doing their best (even though someone's best might not always be very good). Who wants to foster harmony and peace, but not at the cost of sweeping things under the rug. Someone who values kindness in themself and others, assumes the best, but does not suffer mistreatment. Also, beware of cults (which everyone should, no one is immune).
(Disclaimer: Tarot, like all divination, doesn't tell the future and can't give precise insights into someone's mind. Rather it is a tool that, through association and symbols, gives prompts to aid introspection. Whether any of this applies, and in what way to which extend, is for the reader to decide.)

Hi hi, I am interested in getting into dying fabrics and yarns with natural dyes, and I've seen you do it a few times, do you have any recommended books or websites to learn more about it? 馃槃
Oooh! Have fun! :D
I have two books, one is in German (no idea if this will be helpful for you 馃槄) its mostly a "lexicon"
What kind of color can you get with what plant and mordant combination
And here is a review on an English book about plant dye. This also has stuff about dyeing plant based fiber and goes into the different mordants and even how
I have zero experience in websites though
@milkweedman has more plant dye experience then me
