I think alotta ppl forget that dennis canonically is the best at drawing of the gang nd just focus on charlie being the artist of the gang, nd idk maybe i just wanted to slip that into ur mind

Like i have this funny scenario in my head where charlie challenges dennis to a drawing competition nd dennis draws a near realistic portrait of charlie while charlie vaguely scribbles out dennis but the rest of the gang is just like 'omg charlie i didnt know u cud draw'

nothing made me more disillusioned in recent years about how fandom treats women than playing disco elysium, seeing people post about it while i was playing, and waiting for this guy to show up everyone was obsessed with and shipping harry with and making angsty art about because clearly he showed up later in the game and he and harry had History and i know he’s the guy in disguise in the whirling-in-rags but he’s gotta become more prominent. then i get to the end of the game and he has one meaningful conversation with harry and kim and that’s it.

i saw so much fanart of this asshole who arguably has less screen time than any woman relevant to the plot of the game that i thought he’d become a major character. sure he’s kinda interesting but klaasje, ruby, elizabeth, even lena the cryptozoologist’s wife and the novelty dicemaker have more compelling dialogue than him. there are so many insanely good characters in this game and y’all can only post about the men you want to ship. it’s insane

A debate for you:

I really like the player mic. I think WBL/BBL do it really well (SA20 has a lot of tech issues so need to work on that but they too do it well) and I think it adds a really interesting dynamic to the game. I think it sits really well in white ball games, and quite enjoyed hearing it from the female international players during the white ball games in the Washes.

I am on the fence about it being used in Test.

Don’t get me wrong, it is really cool, and it is awesome to get live insight from the field. But… it doesn’t feel like a Test cricket feature to me. I’m not sure I’m happy Alyssa had one on during the first session of the day.

I guess for me it’s the whole, focus thing? Franchises don’t have as many stakes, white ball games are faster paced (especially T20 where I don’t feel strategy is as crucial). Whereas Test, I guess I feel like I want the players fully locked into the game, not with half an ear on the commentary team.

I’m curious what other people think of it. As I understand it’s the first time field mic has been used in a Test? I don’t think the England squad will agree to wear them when they field, so I’m curious to hear what people think!
