todays match had everything, from being cute to acting like strangers to fighting and almost killing each other and then back to being cute again and talking about children and grandchildren and joking about doing the dishes. what an insane rollercoaster, but I loved every second of that ride. this couple is fucking iconic!

Elbowed Her fiancée in the face

ODENSE. Magdalena Eriksson was moved when she greeted Pernille Harder.

Then she elbowed Harder.

“It was a struggle,” says Eriksson.

Magdalena Eriksson , 31, breathed out at Sportbladet's interview microphone after Sweden's victory in the Nations League match against Denmark . Eriksson, with the captain's armband on her arm, had led the way with fighting spirit and hard-fought play.

Eriksson's partner and fiancée Pernille Harder , 32, got a taste of that at the end of the match. On an offensive corner, Eriksson was awarded a free kick when she tore into Harder and elbowed her in the face.

Harder then appeared to cover his face and laugh a little to himself.

– Ouch! says Eriksson when Sportbladet shows a picture of the situation.

– It was a fight and it was a fight and I guess I'll have to talk to Pernille now and see if it's okay or if she's mad at me.

“Actually a little moved”

Before the match, Eriksson and Harder greeted each other and tossed a coin with the referee because they were both team captains.

Before the match, Harder said that whoever loses will take the dishes home.

“It's perfect, because she's usually the one doing the dishes. She can just continue with her old job,” Eriksson says, smiling.

Satisfied with the effort

The Swedish center back was really happy with the 2-1 victory against Denmark.

– It's really, really important. It's not easy to come here and win against a good and strong Denmark away from home, says Eriksson.

She thinks Sweden played a good match overall.

– We are here to win this match and you can clearly see that. Then we have better and worse periods but I think we are very toxic in our counterattacking game and win the ball in some really good situations in the first half and maybe get some more counterattack goals there.

Sweden's next match in the Nations League is against Wales on Tuesday.
