women tie-dye lower
Women's tie-dye jeggings have become a popular trend in clothing because they combine the stretchiness and comfort of jeggings with the vibrant and distinctive pattern of tie-dye. Women can wear this look to bring the vivid and exciting tie-dye vibe into their regular wardrobe. From delicate pastels to strong, vivid colors, tie-dye jeggings come in a variety of patterns and hues. While some tie-dye jeggings may have an abstract, more modern design, others may have a more conventional design with swirls and color bursts.

what is with men being mad any time a woman raises her voice where did that even come from. someone posted a video of a small electrical explosion, and the top comment was of course the woman screams. the second comment is women try not to scream challenge, level impossible. i had to go back and watch the video again. there is, somewhat fainty, a little gasp emitted off-camera, more of a yelp than a scream. it is mostly lost in the crack of the explosion. afterwards, you hear her voice, shaken, say, are you okay?
i am helping one of my friends train her voice pitch lower, because she wants to be taken seriously at work. she and i do each other's nails and talk about gender roles; and how - due to our appearance - neither of us have ever been able to be "hysterical" in public. we both appear young and sweet and feminine. she is cisgender, and cannot use her natural voice in her profession because people keep saying she appears to be "vapid". we both try to figure out if our purposeful voice lowering is technically sexist. is it promoting something when you are a victim to it?
a storm almost sends a pole through a car window. in the dashcam, you can hear the woman passenger say her partner's name twice, crying out in alarm. she sounds terrified. in the comments, she is lambasted for her lack of calm. how is that even fucking helping?
in high school, i taught myself to have a lower voice. i had been recorded when i was genuinely (and righteously) upset; and i hated how my voice sounded on the phone speakers when it was played back. i was defending my mom, and my voice cracked with emotion. it meant i was no longer winning the argument: i was just shrieking about it.
girls meet each other after a long summer and let out a little joyful scream. this usually stops around 12-14, because people will not tolerate this display of affection (as it has the effect of being passingly annoying). something about the fact that little girls can't ever even be annoying. we are trained to examine each part of our lives (even joy) for anything that could make us upsetting and disgusting. they act like teenage girls are breaking into houses and shrieking you awake at 3 in the morning. speaking as a public school educator: trust me, it's not that bad, you can just roll your eyes and move on. it does not compare to the ways boys end up being annoying: slurs in graffiti, purposefully mocking your body, following you after you said no. you know, just boy things.
there's another video of a man who is not allowed to yell in the house, so he snaps his fingers when he's excited about soccer. the comments are full of angry men, talking about how their brother is unfairly caged. let him express himself and this is terrible to do to someone. eventually the couple has to address it in a second video: they are married with a newborn baby. he was trying not to wake the infant up. there is no comment on the fact women are not allowed to yell indoors. or the fact that it could have been really alarming or triggering for his wife. sometimes i wonder if straight men even like women, if they even enjoy being in relationships with them.
for the longest time, i hated roller coasters because it always felt inappropriate and uncomfortable for me to scream. one of my friends called me on it, said it was unusual i'm so unwilling. i had to go to my therapist about it. i don't like to scream because i was not raised in a safe situation, and raising my voice would have brought unsafe attention towards me. even when i am supposed to scream, it feels shameful, guilty. i was not treated kindly, so i lack a basic form of self-protection. this is not a natural response. it is not good that in a situation of high adrenaline - i shut up about it.
something very bad is happening, i think. in between all the beauty standards and the stuff i've already discussed - this one feels new and cruel in a way i can't quite express. yes, it's scary and silencing. but there's something about how direct it is - that so many men agree with the sentiment that women should never yell, even in an emergency - it feels different.
is the word shriek gendered automatically? how about shrill or screech? in self defense class, one of the first things they tell you is to yell, as loud and as shrilly as you can. they say it will feel rude. most women will not do this. you need to practice overcoming the social pressure and just scream.
most women do not cry out, even when it's bad. we do not report it. we walk faster. we do not make a scene. what would be the point of doing anything else? no matter what we do, we don't get taken seriously. it is a joke to them. an instagram caption punchline. we have to present ourselves as silent, beautiful, captivating - "valuable."
a woman is outside watching her kids when someone throws a firecracker at them. she screams and runs towards her children. in the comments, grown men flock together in the thousands: god. women are so annoying.
#warm up#writeblr#this one has bothered me for a bit#any time a woman does something even passingly annoying we treat it like a fucking crime#hey man. women are allowed to be annoying. everyone forever is allowed to be passingly annoying#as long as they aren't hurting anyone/thing#like u wanna know something? i find it super annoying that men don't wear seatbelts#why arent there thousands of comments on driving videos thats just like : men try not to die in a car crash challenge#''this briefly annoyed me''. okay??????? AND????????????????? go get ur self a cookie and calm down about it#ur not entitled to control other ppl's experiences and emotions just so u can maintain ur own peace#if being briefly annoyed ruins ur whole day! you! need! therapy!!!!#men try not to become immediately angry about nothing challenge: level impossible#ps author is nonbinary. we didn't even get into the gender presentation thing#the fact men think it's SEXY that my voice is on the lower end....

ngl, I'm beginning to take issue with how in conversations about anti-intellectualism almost automatically, the face of girls and women will be slapped on the problem.
#'all those tiktok girls who only like marvel films and' - why do you always say girls and women? are the guys filling opera halls instead?#'women in their mid 20s who still only read YA novels' okay sure that's an example and relevant discussions can be had#but it reminds me of the mocking tone in which people speak of 'chick-lit' to use women's interest as an indicator of lower value#while in fact women are reading more than men in EVERY single genre of fiction. Women are doing a lot of (often unpaid) labour#supporting libaries supporting theatres supporting cultural events#meanwhile there is a pretty big overlap between toxic masculinity and anti-intellectualism#(especially misogyny and homophobia)#especially when it comes to things like ballet or opera or musical or generally dance#in fact it is often the female investment in specific things that makes them less 'valuable' in general consciousness#for thousands of years the theatre was well-respected and a high form of art - and now it's a 'wife-thing'#the father who will teach his son that theatre and dance are for girls - how is that never an example for anti-intellectualism

“obviously people in the modern day can recognize what nesta did as verbal abuse even if they didn’t have the words for it in univers-” well if we’re using modern day terms Rhysand and Feyre are segregationists who allow child soldiers and are enacting both collective and multigenerational punishment on an entire city of people. so why don’t you ruminate on that for a little bit.
#if the vague agreement btwn rhys’s family and hewn city is ever expanded upon it will be done in a way that absolves rhys of all blame#but for now the women and lower class of hewn city are declared victims of a heinous dictatorship#aided and abetted by one of their own#children born well after the attack on mor will now suffer segregation in Velaris as retaliation for the sins of their parents#and grandparents#i don’t believe everyone in hewn city is innately evil sarah.#that won’t work on me#and as for the child soldiers don’t get me started#oh we’re sending the Illyrian females to train#are you making them go at eight years old like you do for the boys#huh#uhmmm#acotar worldbuilding#acotar critical#anti acotar#anti rhysand#hewn city acotar#hewn city#the court of nightmares

jakey is apparently misogynistic now so I suppose I'll have to figure smth else out. in place of the J slur I will refer to everyone's boyfriend as follows: "the incomplete female, the chromosomal abnormality, the bepenised abomination, the walking abortion, aborted at the gene stage. the mention of it threatens to give me deep vein thrombosis & the sight of it makes me feel like I'm going through a slow motion byford dolphin incident." is that better do you guys approve of that one is it gentle sweet kind baby honey enough . nevermind I'm not taking feedback at this time
#like sorry but i cant just turn my misandry off bc hes someones boyfriend?? jakey is being kind#even if its a friends bf. in fact there is no lower form of human life than Friends Boyfriend#will i say this to the face of a friend i value? not in those words. but the sentiment remains#(disclaimer i do think sometimes ppl on here get extremely victim blame-y wrt women mistreated by male partners)#(i just dont think jakey is an example of that)#LX3 OP

I hate this "just be kind thing." "When you see a transwoman in the bathroom, just be kind!" Sorry, but as women we don't have the luxury of "just being kind." "Just be kind" has gotten women raped and killed. We cannot take time out of our day to determine which unknown male is a threat and which isn't. You can't expect us to play a guessing game when the stakes are this high.
#also stop telling women to lower our guard around men in general#ESPECIALLY men exhibiting antisocial/antiwoman behavior#like WHAT#stop gaslighting us

#I also think american exceptionalism and their bizarre cultural one-way street isolation plays a role#i think it's different if you actually see other countries as equals and see that they have female leaders and realise that it's#not going downhill it's not solving everything it's business as usual and it's just another boring fucking politician#and this makes the gender of the candidate LESS (not saying no) issue people obsess about or feel a need to discuss#(e.g. people laying into the appearance of female politicians? certainly misogyny. making jokes about cooking and shoes? definitely too#but I feel like that was more a 'gotta insult these fucking politicians' and gender being one of the targets when people want to do that)#but if you're the US and giant parts of the populace think they're the specialmost extra complicatedest country in this our planetworld#the fact that it works for so many other countries takes a much lower priority#because 'yeah sure a woman can govern a....'checks notes' Fineland and United Kingdom of England or Germanland'#but the US of freedom? we got a red button and what if she's on her period!!?! We are a REAL country!!'#not to mention how deeply entrenched the idea of the US as being CONSTANTLY under attack is and the president as the PROTECTOR#and that protector needs to be daddy of course#i also think the different attitude to leaders plays a role#because a part of misogyny is how much people love to HATE women - to sink their teeth into them and demonise them for every flaw#so any country that has some kind of weird worship of their leaders or sees them as some heroes or extra-class of person*#in my opinion might have a harder time to elect a woman because the moment a woman becomes a candidate#you just have to find the right flaw to go on and on about to make the population absolutely hate her or question her competency#meanwhile the general slack we cut men means they can do whatever but somehow still be compatible with that concept of leadership#(*not just the US ....though a lot of other countries with similar attitudes to their leaders are not standing out as democracies tbh)

"castes" are a bug equivilant of gender; but on alternia they are oft filtered through a lens of classism+racism. it's interesting to think about how for trolls, racism and misogyny are heavily overlapping (if not the same thing*)... which could be a statement about how human misogyny and racism are also heavily overlapping (since bioessentialism is so heavily rooted in colonialist white eurocentric standards). or it could just be a weird coincidence.
#*there's this post i REALLY liked about how jadebloods are not just a 'mostly female' caste; to be jade IS to be femme;#because alternian culture is corrupted by LE (known misogynist) who influenced how they view femininity as lower class;#aka CASTES THEMSELVES can be more viewed as femme or masc; rather than individual trolls; and the worst jobs are given to women;#women who Happen To Be Coded Green 🤔 (cherubs dont have human gender they have blood and modeled their gender off people)#twas a VERY good post but alas i could not reblog bcuz op had me blocked lol#op#hsmeta#homestuck#anyway im just babbling nonsense here. pay me no mind

Okay, are belly button piercings "trashy," or do you just associate them with femininity, or women, or sex work and strike it down as inherently less worthy? Are 'tramp stamps' "trashy", or do you just associate them with femininity, or women, or sex work and strike it down as inherently less worthy? Is pole dance "trashy", or do you associate it with women, or sex work and strike it down as inherently less worthy?
These are examples, but I find it interesting when people link things with womanhood or femininity or - gasp! - sex work and then immediately condemn, scrutinize, and dehumanize those who even dapple a little in these things, even if it isn't for sex work or to "look trashy." It's funny how the feminine or woman is seen as trashy until proven otherwise, and it's shameful that people still hold the bias that women must prove their humanity by not "being trashy" or "acting like a hooker."
#feminism#look i'm not arguing sex work with people but it's funny that SWers are seen as less than human unless they have a sad story or they hate..#...themselves for 'stooping so low.' and it's funny that women bear both brunts of misogyny (sarcasm)#i'm saying this as a man who is also 'trashy' because i exercise my bodily autonomy every chance i get#just got my belly button done and i think it's a lovely body mod that can be so versatile#same with lower back tattoos!!! some of them are SO pretty in design and artistry#misogyny#misogyny tw#as i get older i realize just how deep the misogyny and policing of ESPECIALLY femininity and those who are/are forced to be/ect women#frankly a woman should be able to 'be trashy' or 'act like a hooker' and not fear for their safety or wellness#again i say all this as a man but i also want women* to feel safe and able to exercise the same bodily autonomy i do as a man
