afton (or, his basically self-insert character Spring Bonnie) being nonbinary is so funny to me., but like, I think it could be interesting to play around with that.

when I talk about afton i mean, like, pre-fnaf. the beginnings of Fredbear Diner, still good friends with Emily, etc.

do you think he ever felt bad about it? this was the eighties, its highly unlikely he had any real space for him to explore that, especially in the suburbs.

i wonder if he ever talked to Emily about it? and I wonder if, had he done that, what would Emily's reaction be?

in cartoon characters I've noticed that-neutral- or -masculine- often means male, and feminine always means feminine. not showing feminine traits is what deems a character as male, not the presence of masculinity. like that post about animals in Disney movies. there's the normal one, and then the Girl one.

i guess afton was going for this with spring Bonnie, and even blue Bonnie! even in thefanbase, there was confusion.because theyre both veryneutral.,

it can be reasonably assumed that spring Bonnie is male BECAUSE they aren't feminine, but it's enough wiggle room for people to assume they're male anyways

i really like that post that said that afton would be happy to see spring Bonnie drawn by children who assume they're female, with more attached feminine traits and whatnot

i like to assume that funtime foxy and pre-mangle Mangle were also an exploration of the opposite thing. how feminine could a character get before being assumed to be only female? I mean, they've got lipstick on... I think the fan base has always seen those two as female, but I've leaned more towards male, especially for funtime foxy in SL

so, I will think about what the convo between afton and Emily would look like

given the time period I can at the very least say emily would be confused. afton brings up in passing, that spring Bonnie was to be devoid of a gender, or maybe emily asks about it, or something

then it sort of goes on from there? like, afton never explicitly says anything about being queer in the slightest, but it's sort of... implies? assumed...

beauty and the beast dca au where WE are the beast because we are human and therefore imperfect. there are not many humans left because of environmental problems and robots' population dominates humans, most people escaping to what's left of forests and nature in general, fearing the peace between two will be broken. we live in a mansion left from our granfather, who worked to build animatronics so we know the stuff. all our efforts to forget what's going on the world outside of our forest is in vain when a night themed animatronic shows up on our door, looking worn out and holding a barely functioning sun themed animatronic.

aughhhhagahagahgh. malewife, 10/10 space cadet, poor delusional little meow meow. i'm so delighted by them, and delighted that we left them on a reasonably high note

their personality being so soothing but firm is a nice touch. just like the virus brought out the worst in sun and moon, i think this rebooted state brought out and combined the best traits of them. it’s a common headcanon that moon was soft with the kids before he got virused, a naptime guardian of sorts, and i think that shines through in eclipse. at the very least, that’s how i choose to interpret that aspect of them :)

... i do wonder how long it'll take them to realize there are no kids coming in the morning. how long will it take before an exhausted sun chimes in that things aren't like they used to be, or for eclipse to access moon's memory files?

Okay but like. Does anyone else think about this? Because I think about this often.

Backup Eclipse realistically, prior to Sun’s murderous rampage, only really did two big major things that were considered evil. Which was A) Setting in motion Moon activating Kill Code which then made KC become sentient and all that. And B) Unlocked the daycare so KC could leave.

And this is a backup that activated in Blood Moon. He did not realistically commit any of the crimes the Original did. Technically he never abused Lunar, he never made any AIs (except Solar Flare). It was just a backup programmed with the Original’s memories and personality and we don’t even know when his memories extend to.

Since he was in Blood Moon, I would expect he was in Eclipse’s very beginning stages of development, therefore no crimes at all had been committed. Sure he has those memories of Eclipse waking up and all his anger, but I severely doubt Eclipse, at that point, had means to set up an automatic like cloud storage effect with his backups.

Now, I’m not saying Backup is innocent. Not at all. He still committed a list of crimes just like the Original Eclipse. But, unless Eclipse set up some Bluetooth Cloud Storage method of backup updates, then realistically, Backup, when he activated, literally had just Eclipse’s rage, abandonment, and maybe some scientific knowledge that Eclipse seemed to have gotten from Moon.

And yet he was held to the crimes Original Eclipse committed just because he was there.

Hm...... just had a dream that the next fnaf game had an ARG kind of promo thing with heavy DCA lore bait, and everyone was playing it obsessively until it got to the big Hidden Ending that revealed that the DCA was actually just a collective of normal guys in masks all along and Eclipse turned to the camera and happily announced his name was actually Randy.

Had the most insane dream where Pizza Tower had an update for the noise where THERE WERE TONS OF DOISES like on the floors and dont make a sound instead on the second floor? And all the toppin monsters were just the fnaf characters. Also there were far more secret rooms on the floors.

So fun fact about me is for some godforsaken reason, my stress dreams and nightmares only- and I mean ONLY -manifest as having to do with Five Nights At Freddy’s.

I don’t know why this is. My best guess is that FNaF did something literally brain chemistry-altering when I was exposed to it way too young thanks to YouTube. That, or my brain got sick of me pathologizing my way out of nightmares by befriending the villains and took advantage of a media with monsters that wanted me dead as fuck in as brutal and terrifying a way as possible.

Most of the time my dreams stick to the classic FNaF era, usually the animatronics from 2 and 3 with some Sister Location thrown in for metallic spaghetti horror every once in a while. It’s the stuff I’m the most familiar with and the most freaked out by, right?

… having said that, I need someone to pry open my brain and tell me why the fuck I woke up this morning in a cold sweat with my heart racing after getting my face eaten by this motherfucker
