for my money, labru is head and shoulders above other ships involving them simply due to the unmatched yap potential, i imagine them feeding off each other's energy like they're slipstreaming in mario kart until they start going fast enough to break the sound barrier

Jason, Tim and Dick with an s/o who’s completely the opposite of them??
Requests open until 1 Feb (GMT 8+)! Please read the rules on my pinned post (provided the navi post link to go to rules). Thank you!🩷
Batboys with an s/o completely opposite of them
Dick Grayson
Dick is a very extroverted, active and optimistic individual while you’re very introverted, lazy (let’s all be real here-) and… well, he calls you a realist (because he doesn’t wanna call you a pessimist-).
The two of you have a rather funny dynamic between the two of you: Dick’s always the one dragging you out because you need “sunlight”.
“Come on, s/o! Let’s take a stroll! Gotta get that vitamin D!”
“Dick… it’s 8pm.”
“…” “You get the point, come on now-”
He’s just concern for your health because he loves you and doesn’t want you to just laze at home all the time, you know? And isn’t it nice to take a stroll with your boyfriend?? Come on now-
Dick’s always the one to cheer you up when you’re grumpy or sad (or both), and you’re always there to ground him back to reality when needed and he appreciates that.
Another thing to note is that he actually has poor communication skills when it comes to the relationship, and always feels like he’s a burden to share his problems. You, on the other hand, aren’t afraid to speak your mind and put a lot of trust in him when it comes to communicating challenges within your relationship with Dick and you encouraging him to put trust in you because he will never burden you because you love him honestly makes him admire you, and also fall in love with you even more.
It’ll take some time, not because he doesn’t trust you, it’s just because there’s that lingering thought of not wishing to burden you and also because old habits die hard but… slowly he’ll get there, and that’ll be the one thing you guys can be similar in.
For now, he loves his potato couch cutie (just stroll with him every once in a while at least-) <3
Jason Todd
Has no idea how he even managed to get you, because you’re everything he’s not.
He’s always so emotional, impulsive and jealous, while you’re so calm, rational and trusting in him even when he knows he’s got so much sin in him that he’s not proud of committing, and knows he can’t be forgiven for them at times.
Yet… you never saw that in him. You’ve always thought he’s someone compassionate, loyal and caring, and you love him even at his worse. He’s never thought of himself like that after you told him so sincerely and gently that he almost broke down and cried. You love him so much as much as he loves you it makes him feel so warm and comforted. He just feels so lucky to have you.
He kinda wishes he’s like you, because he’d always think it’s better to be anyone else but you’d tell him otherwise. Besides, it’s always opposites that attract.
He loves you with every fibre of his being, you’re like a second chance given to him. Well, not that he sees you as a way to feel better but he genuinely believes you’re an angel sent to him. Literally. But seriously, he loves you and he’ll try to be a little bit more calmer than let his anger get the best of him. You always can calm him down anyways.
You always told him that his compassion for you touched you, and that his warmth and love is something you’ve never had before from anyone, you make him feel so special, you know that? <3
Tim Drake
Tim’s… all sorts of things. He’s ambivert, more introvert-leaning, but he’s also poor in time management due to his workaholic nature and rather reserved in temperament.
And you were a lot more responsible and better in time management because you ACTUALLY do set limits for yourself than just doing EVERYTHING in one goal. You weren’t a control-freak like him, rather taking things slowly. Just like him, you’re an ambivert but more extrovert-leaning and you had a tendency of getting lost in your emotions, just being more sensitive than him in general.
Every time you try to drag him to bed, shower, eat, just take care of himself he gets a bit pouty every time you do this but he’s touched. You had to open his eyes to let him see that timetables exist, and open up his heart to let him know it’s okay to take a break. Breaks even. He deserves breaks.
Tim is always there to calm you down. You just get so worried for him every time he goes out for patrol because anything could happen to him in Gotham. He reassured you, kissing your forehead softly while you patch him up with a little bit of tears glossing your eyes and tells you he’s okay. He’s never really had people care for him so much to the point they cry which was why when he got a few minor cuts on his arms and torso, he panicked when he saw you cry so much. He makes a mental note to make sure he doesn’t come home too injured, but at the same time you always tell him he shouldn’t hide his pain from you. You just want him safe.
You two just blend well together, and he always feels like he can come to you when he feels troubled. And you can always go to him for comfort.
Bonus: You dragging Tim by his feet to go to bed while his coffee-drunk ass is sighing in defeat and lets you drag him away but smiled tenderly despite being tired. Sigh, fine. He’ll sleep, just for you. <3

That Girl’s A Liar~
Satoru Gojo x F!Reader
Here is part III! I hope you all enjoy<333 Part I Part II
The school bell rang, signaling the end of the day. I headed towards the library, where Kai and I had planned to meet up and go over his strategy to ask Amai out. My mind was still buzzing with thoughts of Toru and the missed chance to talk to him earlier. It had been such a strange, disheartening day. For the first time since we became friends, Toru and I hadn’t exchanged a single word.
We never even crossed paths, our schedules seemingly conspiring to keep us apart. That or we were just too busy with school work to talk. It felt as if a crucial part of my day was missing, leaving an empty void that gnawed at me. The absence of our connection cast a shadow over everything, making the day feel unusually long and painfully lonely.
Entering the library, I spotted Kai at a table near the back, surrounded by books and notes. He looked up and waved me over with a relieved smile.
“Hey, Y/N!” Kai greeted me. “Thanks for coming. I really need your help with this science project, and… you know, the other thing.”
“Of course,” I replied, setting my bag down and pulling out my notebook. “Let’s get started.”
As we began reviewing the material, I noticed Toru entering the library. He paused at the entrance, his eyes scanning the room. When he saw me and Kai sitting close together, his expression shifted. Instead of approaching, he decided to observe from a distance, his curiosity and jealousy piqued.
“So…do you think Amai likes coffee or tea better? I’m thinking about asking her if she’d like to get something with me sometime this week…or maybe next week.” Kai asked, glancing at his notes to mask the question.
I leaned in, whispering back, “Probably tea. She seems like a tea person.”
Kai chuckled, shaking his head. “You think so? What makes you so sure?”
I gasped dramatically, placing a hand over my heart in an exaggerated manner. “You doubt my finely honed abilities to discern whether someone prefers coffee or tea? That is blasphemous!” I declared with mock seriousness, a playful glint in my eyes. “My skills in beverage detection are unparalleled. I can read the subtle signs and nuances of a person’s taste preferences with unmatched precision.”
Kai laughed, leaning back in his chair. "Alright, alright, I believe you. I just want to make sure I do this right. I don’t want to mess up any opportunities given to me."
I smiled reassuringly, leaning in a bit closer. "You won't mess this up, Kai. Just be yourself and show genuine interest in her. Trust me, Amai will appreciate the effort and sincerity. And remember, you've got me in your corner to help you out."
Kai's expression softened, his nervousness giving way to a grateful smile. "Thanks, Y/N. That means a lot. I guess I just need to relax and take it one step at a time."
I nodded, feeling a surge of warmth from our friendship. "Exactly. And who knows, maybe this will be the start of something really great for you."
Toru found a spot behind a bookshelf where he could watch us without being seen. He noticed the way Kai leaned in close, and how I responded with a smile and a laugh. His grip on his bag tightened as he tried to make sense of our interaction.
We both giggled at our own seriousness, finding some levity in the situation. Toru, catching the intimate nature of our conversation but not the details, felt his jealousy deepen. He struggled to maintain his composure as he watched us from the shadows.
“What the hell could he be saying to make you smile like that?” He thought
Kai nudged me, his voice low. “Do you think Amai likes science fiction? I’m thinking of recommending a book.”
I leaned in closer, whispering, “Yeah, I think she does. She mentioned something about liking scientific settings in our last class. Maybe you should talk with her about what her favorite book is or something amongst those lines.”
Toru’s eyes narrowed as he watched us, feeling a pang of jealousy. The way we were huddled together, whispering and laughing, was unsettling for him. What was going on between you two?
Kai looked at me with a mixture of hope and nervousness. “Do you think it’s too soon to ask Amai about her favorite books?”
I shook my head, smiling reassuringly. "Not at all. In fact, asking about her favorite books is a great way to show you’re interested in her likes and dislikes. It will make her feel appreciated."
Kai’s face lit up with relief. "Right. You’re right… I just… I don’t want her to think I’m some sort of creep."
I laughed, rubbing my hand on his shoulder, trying my best to reassure him. "For asking her about her favorite book? Kai, I think you’re being too hard on yourself. You aren’t going to sound like a creep as long as you don’t ask too many personal questions. Just keep it simple!"
Kai nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Okay, got it. Keep it simple and genuine."
I patted his shoulder encouragingly. "Exactly. You're going to do great, Kai. Like I said, just be yourself and let the conversation flow naturally. Amai will see the real you, and that's what matters most."
He took a deep breath, seeming more at ease. "Thanks, Y/N. I really appreciate your help. I don’t know what I’d do without you."
I grinned, feeling the bond of our friendship strengthen. "Anytime, Kai. I'm always here for you. Now, let's get back to this science project and make sure we ace it."
As you two continued discussing both the science project and Kai’s plans for Amai, Aksana entered the library. She spotted Toru almost immediately and saw him staring at you. With a determined look, she walked straight over to him, her books clutched to her chest.
Toru continued to watch you and Kai, his frustration growing as he struggled to understand your guys’ interaction. Just then, Aksana appeared beside him, noticing his distraction.
"Hey, Toru, can you help me with my homework again? I’m really struggling to understand it," Aksana said, effectively blocking his view of me and Kai.
Toru hesitated, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer. He wanted to focus on our interaction, to understand what was going on between us.
"Uh... sorry, Aksana, but I am actually—" he began, trying to excuse himself.
"Oh, please, Toru? I really need you!" she begged, sitting down next to him and effectively blocking his view of me and Kai.
He felt a surge of annoyance but forced a polite smile, trying to be nice despite his reluctance. "Alright, Aksana. What do you need help with?" he asked, though his thoughts were still preoccupied with me and Kai.
I glanced over, catching a glimpse of Toru and Aksana together. My chest tightened as I saw them, their heads close together as they worked on her assignment. The way his arm grazed against hers, the way his eyes looked at hers—it all made my stomach churn with an unfamiliar pang of jealousy.
Kai noticed my distraction and gently nudged me. “You okay, Y/N?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” I replied, forcing a smile. “Let’s get back to work.”
We continued studying, but I couldn’t help stealing glances at Toru and Aksana. Every time I looked over, they seemed more engrossed in their conversation, making my heart sink a little further.
The image of them laughing together left a bitter taste in my mouth. The day that had started with a missed connection now felt even more complicated and heavy.
I glanced over again, catching a moment where Aksana playfully nudged Toru. He smiled politely, but there was something distant in his eyes, a flicker of the tension I knew he was trying to hide. Yet, the way they interacted still made my heart clench with jealousy.
Kai’s voice pulled me back to our conversation. “So, when do you think is the best time to ask Amai about her interests? I don’t want to come off too strong.”
“Maybe start with something light,” I suggested, trying to keep my focus. “Talk about school, then gradually bring up hobbies and books. It will feel more natural that way.”
Kai nodded, absorbing my advice. We continued to work, but my mind kept drifting. I noticed that Toru would occasionally glance my way, his expression unreadable. Each time our eyes almost met, Aksana would say something to draw his attention back to her.
Eventually, Kai suggested a break. “Hey, Y/N, why don’t we take a break and go to the café down the street? My treat for all the help you’ve been to me.” Toru’s expression darkened as he overheard Kai’s suggestion. The mention of our usual spot hit him hard. He watched as I hesitated, torn between helping Kai and the implications it might have for Toru. Maybe it would be for the best. It would help keep my mind off of him and Aksana.
“Sure, Kai. Thanks,” I finally said, trying to keep my tone neutral.
Kai beamed, completely oblivious to the tension. “Great! Let’s go.”
We packed up our things and headed out, leaving Toru and Aksana behind. Toru watched you both leave, his hand breaking his pencil in half from the jealousy and frustration he felt.
*****
I stirred my tea with my straw, struggling to drink it as I was lost in thought. My mind kept drifting back to Toru and Aksana, and the unsettling feelings it stirred within me. Kai took notice of my distraction and leaned in, concern etched on his face.
“What’s up, Y/N? You seem really out of it,” Kai asked gently.
“Oh, it’s nothing, Kai. Really,” I replied, trying to brush off my feelings with a weak smile.
“Come on, I know self-deception better than anyone. Now, what’s going on?” he pressed, his tone sincere and encouraging.
I sighed, putting down my straw and looking up at Kai. His eyes were filled with genuine concern, and I knew I couldn’t hide my feelings any longer. “It’s just… seeing Toru with Aksana today. It made me realize how much I miss talking to him. We didn’t even get to see each other at all today, and it felt so… empty.”
Kai nodded thoughtfully, a hint of realization dawning in his eyes. “Do you… like him?” he asked, a small smile making its way to his face as he saw me look away from him.
I felt my cheeks heat up, and I avoided his gaze, fiddling with my straw. “I… I don’t know, Kai,” I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper.
“Oh, so you do like him!” he yelled, his eyes lighting up at the news.
“Will you keep it down, Kai?! The whole world doesn’t need to know!” I exclaimed, placing my hands over his mouth to muffle his excitement. My heart raced at the thought of anyone else overhearing our conversation.
Kai laughed, gently moving my hands away. “Alright, alright, I’ll keep it quiet. But wow, Y/N, this is big! No wonder you seemed so distracted today.”
I sighed, my shoulders slumping as I looked down at my untouched tea. “Yeah, it’s a lot. But just looking at him makes me feel so happy. His smile, his voice, his eyes…even his dumb jokes and antics make my heart flutter.
Kai laughed, making me look up at him.
”Why don’t you tell him?”
”I tried! But every time I try to, its like the universe always seems to find a way to stop it from happening.” I explained.
”Not only that… but stupid Aksana keeps butting in, so I can never get any time alone with him,” I finished, frustration evident in my voice.
As Kai was about to say something, he noticed the weather changing. The clouds began to circle around in the sky, making him look down at me with concern.
“Uh… Y/N?” he asked, pointing towards the outside.
I turned and rolled my eyes, realizing what was happening. “Damnit. Sorry,” I said, quickly taking a deep breath to regain control. Within a few seconds, the clouds disappeared and the sun began to shine once more.
Kai watched in awe, his expression a mix of surprise and admiration. “Wow, you really do have a unique and powerful cursed technique. I forget sometimes.”
I shrugged, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Yeah, it tends to react to my emotions. It’s something I’ve been trying to control better. But now Im seeing that I need to work harder on that…especially if something like this is getting to me.”
“Don’t feel bad about it. Love is a powerful thing. It can make even the strongest of people lose control.” He said, making me ponder.
”Listen, thank you for the tea, Kai. It was so sweet of you…but I better get going. I have some things I need to sleep on tonight. How about we meet tomorrow during lunch and we can go over the plan some more and you can finally get some interaction with her.” I said, quickly leaving the cafe, not giving him any time to respond.
As I stepped outside, the fresh air helped clear my mind. I walked all the way back to my home, my thoughts swirling with everything that had happened. Once inside, I went straight to my room and face-planted into the bed, letting out a long, frustrated sigh.
As I lay there, the events of the day replayed in my mind. Every missed chance to talk to him, every moment he spent with Aksana instead of me—it all seemed to point to one conclusion. What if the universe was trying to tell me something? What if Toru and I were never meant to be more than friends?
I shook my head, trying to push those thoughts away. I couldn’t give up so easily. I needed to talk to Toru, to clear the air and find out how he really felt. But the fear of rejection, of ruining our friendship, weighed heavily on my heart.
Rolling onto my back, I stared up at the ceiling, Why did things have to be so complicated? All I wanted was to be close to Toru, to share everything with him, to hear his voice….I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. “Get a grip, Y/N,” I muttered to myself.
I don’t know whats going to happen to us in the future…but I do know that I am going to make sure I get alone time with Toru tomorrow…no matter what. I need to see him…and just him. With that resolve in mind, I closed my eyes and tried to drift off to sleep.
—With Satoru—
“I don’t know what the fuck to do, Suguru! It’s like he’s completely replaced me!” Satoru exclaimed, running his hand through his hair in frustration. The usually composed and confident young man was now a bundle of nerves, his eyes reflecting the turmoil he felt inside.
Suguru leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching his friend with a mixture of concern and sympathy. “Calm down, Satoru. Tell me what’s going on.”
Satoru sighed, pacing the room. “It’s Y/N. I’ve barely gotten to spend time with her, if any at all. She’s too preoccupied with that boy Kai. It’s like she doesn’t even notice me anymore. And seeing them together... it hurts, Suguru. It fucking hurts.” The words tumbled out of him in a rush, each one laced with the raw pain of unrequited love and the sting of jealousy.
Suguru nodded, understanding the depth of his friend’s anguish. He had witnessed the way Satoru looked at you, talked about you, even thought about you. He knew how much you meant to him. “Okay, first, you need to try and relax man-“
”How can you say that? You know how I feel about her. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about her. I miss her so much…I love her so much.” He started, looking down at his bandaged arm where you helped him. The memory of your gentle touch and kind words only made the pain sharper.
”i just…I thought maybe she might’ve felt the same for me.” He said, his voice breaking in defeat. Suguru lifted himself off the wall and walked towards his best friend, placing a hand on his shoulder.
”Listen man, I get it. I know how much you love her, and maybe it feels like she’s slipping away. But I feel like all of this is just a big misunderstanding. Maybe there’s something going on between those two that you don’t know of.”
”Like what? Like them dating? Do you think they are dating?” Satoru interrupted, his eyes widening in fear at the realization. The mere thought of you being with someone else made his heart ache with a pain he couldn’t bear.
”What? No! I'm just saying that maybe there is more to the story than you think. You need to talk to her. You need to finally let her know how you feel. Maybe then…all will be revealed.” He suggested. To be honest, Suguru wasn’t sure what you were doing either. He could’ve sworn you were absolutely head over heels for Satoru just as much as he was for you…did he interpret your feelings wrong? Could it be true that you moved on from his best friend to another boy?
“It’s not that simple,” Satoru replied, his voice tinged with desperation. “Every time I get close, something or someone gets in the way. Trust me, I want to tell her! I want to be with her so bad, to just hear her beautiful voice, see her beautiful smile… but instead, I end up seeing her with Kai...and hes the one getting all of those things that I want. it’s like a knife to the heart.”
Suguru placed a reassuring hand on Satoru’s shoulder. “Then make her see it. Show her what she’s missing.”
Satoru's eyes lit up with an idea. “You’re right. Maybe if she sees me with someone else, she’ll realize what she’s missing. Maybe I need to make her jealous.”
Suguru’s eyes widened in alarm. “No, that’s not what I meant! I was trying to say that you need to be honest with her, not play games.”
But Satoru, being himself, was already forming a plan in his head. “Thanks, Suguru! You’re a genius. I’ll show her that I can move on too. Maybe then she’ll realize how much she misses me.”
“Satoru, you fucking idiot, wait—” Suguru began, but it was too late. Satoru was already heading out the door, determined to put his plan into action.
Ignoring Suguru’s protests, Satoru sought out Aksana. If making Y/N jealous was the way to get her attention, then he would go all in.
*****
It didn’t take too long before Satoru found Aksana. There she was, in the library, engrossed in a book.
“Aksana, hey,” Satoru said, putting on his most charming smile.
Aksana looked up, surprised. “Oh, hi, Satoru. What’s up?”
“Do you want to hang out? Maybe grab a coffee or something?” Satoru asked, trying to sound casual.
Aksana’s face held a sinister smirk. Had all the work she put into getting close to Satoru finally paid off? “Sure, I’d love to,” she replied, her voice dripping with satisfaction as she sensed an opportunity unfolding before her.
As they walked out together, Satoru couldn’t help but glance around, hoping Y/N would see them. Suguru’s words echoed in his mind, but he pushed them aside. This had to work. Y/N had to realize what she was missing.
Meanwhile, Suguru watched from a distance, shaking his head. “This is going to backfire spectacularly,” he muttered to himself. He could only hope that Satoru would come to his senses before it was too late.
”What the hell is he doing?” Shoko asked, showing up out of nowhere. Suguru looked down at her and shook his head.
”Something he's going to regret.”
—With you—
Well…your plan to get alone time with Toru plan went to shit. Weeks had passed, and you hadn't had a single opportunity to be alone with Toru. Each time you attempted to get close, someone inevitably interrupted—most often Aksana. It was almost as if she had a sixth sense for when you wanted to speak with him because she was perpetually by his side. The way she clung to him made it appear as though he were her boyfriend, the two of them always in close physical proximity. People around you even started saying how cute of a couple they would be.
If you wanted to talk to him before class, it was too late—Aksana had already walked with him to school before you even had a chance. Trying to catch him during lunch was futile because Aksana had preemptively whisked him away to a nice place to eat. Attempting to speak to him after school was equally hopeless since she was already monopolizing his time, ostensibly to get help with her “homework.” It was driving your emotions into turmoil, and consequently, the weather seemed to mirror your inner state.
Days that were forecasted to be sunny turned out to be rainy, and days that were supposed to be mildly windy saw unexpectedly strong gusts. There were even some days that would have a mix of both snow and rain. All because of you. Shoko, Kai, and Suguru quickly noticed the change in you and attempted to reach out, but you were so consumed by your own emotions that you began to shut them out. The frustration and longing were driving you to the brink of insanity, and you could feel your sanity slipping away with each passing day.
What made matters worse was that you started to notice how much closer Toru and Aksana were getting. Almost too close. You still remember the day you were in the lunchroom with Kai, preparing him to go talk to Amai, only to see Toru and Aksana leaving the school premises together. They were laughing with one another, their heads close as they shared a private joke. The sight made your heart ache, a deep, painful throb that you couldn’t ignore.
Kai, noticed your sudden silence, and he followed your gaze. “Hey, are you okay?” he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
You tore your eyes away from the scene, forcing a smile. “Yeah, I’m fine,” you lied, the words tasting bitter in your mouth. “Just lost in thought.”
Kai gave you a skeptical look but didn’t press further. “Well, if you need to talk, you know I’m here for you, right?”You nodded, appreciating his support but feeling helpless. “Thanks, Kai. I appreciate it.”
As the days passed, the growing closeness between Toru and Aksana became increasingly difficult to ignore. They seemed inseparable, and every time you saw them together, it felt like a dagger twisting in your heart. You felt a mix of emotions—hurt, jealousy, and a strange sense of betrayal. Why was Satoru spending time with Aksana? Had you misread the situation all along? Did Satoru really not feel the same about you as you did about him? The thought was almost too painful to bear. You could’ve sworn he…you thought he…well maybe…maybe he just didn’t love you after all….
*****
The following day, you decided to go to the cafeteria to grab something quick to eat. You and Kai were close to being done with the science project, and he and Amai were becoming closer and closer each day. He managed to build up enough courage to take her out to eat, so you were left alone. Now, you had some time all to yourself to just relax. It was a rare moment, but it meant that you got to actually sit with Shoko, Suguru, and Satoru.
As you made your way, the cafeteria’s usual cacophony of voices and clattering dishes seemed to fade into the background. You spotted Shoko and Suguru sitting together, but no sign of Toru. You went over to the table Shoko and Suguru were at, and forced a smile, trying to shake off the sense of dread that had been gnawing at you. As you sat down, you heard Toru’s voice from afar. Your eyes involuntarily drifted to the direction of his voice and found Toru and Aksana entering the lunchroom, talking amongst themselves about something random.
They were standing close, their heads almost touching as they shared a private joke, their laughter mingling with the ambient noise but somehow standing out painfully to your ears. The sight made your stomach churn with jealousy and hurt, a physical manifestation of the emotional turmoil that had become all too familiar.
Every giggle from Aksana and every smile from Toru felt like a dagger to your heart. The way they seemed so at ease with each other, so effortlessly close, was unbearable. You had always cherished the moments when Toru smiled at you like that, but now those moments seemed to be slipping away, replaced by this growing bond between him and Aksana. It was a bitter pill to swallow, seeing someone else enjoy what you longed for so deeply.
Suguru, sitting across from you, noticed your pained expression and turned to look at Toru and Aksana. He scoffed in disgust, completely in disbelief at what his best friend was doing. “Unbelievable,” he muttered under his breath, shaking his head in frustration. He couldn’t fathom how Toru could be so oblivious to your feelings, so wrapped up in his plan to make you jealous that he didn’t notice the hurt he was causing you.
Shoko, on the other hand, looked like she was ready to strangle both Toru and Aksana. Her eyes narrowed in anger as she watched them, her fists clenched tightly on the table. “This has to stop,” she whispered to Suguru fiercely, her voice barely containing her rage. She had seen the toll this situation was taking on you and it infuriated her to see her friend in such pain.
Both Suguru and Shoko had witnessed your frustration and heartbreak over the past few weeks. They had seen the light dim in your eyes and the smile that no longer reached your lips. It pained them to see you like this, to see someone they cared about suffering in silence. They exchanged a look, silently agreeing that something needed to be done to end this misery.
“Hey, Y/N,” Shoko said, her voice softer now as she turned her attention to you. “Are you okay?” Her eyes were filled with concern, and you could tell she was genuinely worried about you.
You forced a smile, trying to mask the turmoil inside. “Yeah, I’m fine,” you lied, though your voice betrayed your true feelings. The lump in your throat made it hard to speak, and you could feel the tears threatening to spill over, but you fought to keep them at bay.
Suguru leaned forward, his expression serious and earnest. “You don’t have to put up with this, you know. We’re here for you,” he said, his tone comforting yet firm. He wanted you to know that you weren’t alone, that you had friends who cared about you and wanted to help.
And you were grateful. Truly. But the emotions were overwhelming, and you couldn’t bear to delve into them any further. You sighed deeply and placed your head in your hands, trying to steady your breathing. “Can we not talk about this… please?” you asked, your voice cracking under the weight of your emotions. The sight of Toru and Aksana together was like a constant reminder of what you couldn’t have, and it was tearing you apart. You just needed a break. A break from it all.
“Of course...” Shoko replied softly, her worry for you still evident in her eyes. She exchanged a glance with Suguru, both of them silently agreeing to shift the conversation away from the topic that was causing you so much pain.
“Well, how about we talk about training then?” Suguru suggested, his tone lightening in an attempt to lift the mood. “I heard Sensei Yaga is having all of us go out later today for a practice exam on our form to see where we are at.”
Your eyes widened in surprise and mild panic. Was that today? Just when you thought you might get a break, now you were bombarded with the realization that you had to use your abilities to get a good grade. The stress of everything was beginning to weigh heavily on you, and the thought of the upcoming practice exam only added to your anxiety.
“Great,” you muttered, your voice tinged with sarcasm. “Just when I thought I could relax, now I have to worry about my form and performance.” You ran a hand through your hair, feeling the tension building up inside you.
Suguru gave you a sympathetic smile. “I know it’s a lot, but maybe it’ll be a good distraction. Focusing on training could help take your mind off things for a bit.”
“Yeah, and you’re really good,” Shoko added, her tone encouraging. “You always impress Sensei Yaga. Just think of it as another chance to show what you can do.”
You nodded, appreciating their attempts to cheer you up. “I guess you’re right. It’s just… everything feels so overwhelming right now. I’ll try to focus on the training and give it my best shot.”
As the conversation shifted to the details of the practice exam and various training techniques, you found yourself gradually relaxing. It wasn’t a complete escape from your thoughts about Toru and Aksana, but it was a temporary reprieve. For now, you could channel your energy into preparing for the exam and proving your skills.
The laughter and chatter of the cafeteria buzzed around you, blending into the background as you listened to Shoko and Suguru discuss strategies and tips. You took a deep breath, letting their words wash over you, and tried to find some semblance of peace in the midst of the chaos that had become your life.
Just then, your phone buzzed with a new message. Glancing at the screen, you saw it was from Kai. His words caught your attention right away.
“Meet me before our practice exam today. I’m going to finally ask Amai out… and to the dance… but I want to practice what I’m going to say. I need you to pretend to be her,” he wrote.
Despite the whirlwind of emotions you were feeling, a small smile grew on your face. At least someone in your life was going to have a good ending… hopefully. The idea of helping Kai with his romantic plans provided a glimmer of positivity in your otherwise turbulent day. It was a reminder that not everything was bleak and that happiness was still possible for those around you.
You quickly replied, typing out a response with a renewed sense of purpose. “Sure, I’ll meet you in our science class. We can practice there,” you texted back, feeling a bit lighter.
“Y/n…we need to tell you something. It’s about Satoru and what he’s been doing. Just please be ready to-“ Suguru started before being cut off by your voice.
“Hey guys, it was wonderful talking to you both… but something just came up and I gotta go. I’ll see you guys later today!” you said, not hearing a word they were saying before getting up and leaving, trying to muster the enthusiasm you no longer felt.
As you walked away, Toru’s eyes followed you, noticing the small smile on your face that barely masked your true feelings. His heart began to race with anticipation, a flicker of hope igniting within him. Were you finally going to come to him? Were you going to hug him and let him hear your voice that he had been longing for? He missed the way you used to laugh, the way you used to share everything with him.
Just as you made it a few feet away from him, your eyes locked with his, making both of you pause. For a brief moment, the world seemed to stand still, and all the noise of the cafeteria faded into the background. His heart pounded in his chest, a flicker of hope igniting within him. This was the moment he had been waiting for, the moment he had dreamed about during the countless sleepless nights. He wanted to reach out to you, to bridge the painful gap that had grown between you.
However, before he could make a move, you averted your eyes and walked in the opposite direction, directly ignoring him. He felt his heart shatter right then and there from your actions. The small glimmer of hope that had sparked in his heart was extinguished in an instant. Every step you took away from him felt like a crushing blow, each one more painful than the last. The rejection was a raw, agonizing wound that left him reeling.
“Y/n…” He muttered under his breath.

If you want, could I ask for some with Vere and Kuras?? I feel in love with them in the demo and am in desperate need of more toushstarved content
GENERAL KURAS HCS
gn!reader | ?!!?!! GIGGLES..THANK U THANK U a girl never shares her secrets 😍🤫😘 jk ive shared characterization tips at Some point. KURAS TIME!!! ;3c
has a sense of humour where if you say something silly he Does find it amusing,, he just has a calm + direct demeanor. "can i climb you like a tree" > he blinks because he's caught off guard but smiles anyway. says you could definitely try, but he thinks it might be more effective to just pick you up, no?
the Look the others give him when he says a joke You often say that just...does not match him at all. awesome
he'd get you flowers. not in a bouquet of red roses way but in an i checked the meanings of all of these and personalized it to have your favourite colours and what you mean to me. i'll either explain to you the most devastating story of eternal love and our souls being intertwined or look at you and go :) who's to say what it means? and let you figure it out
next level putting things high up so you have to ask him for help. doesn't try to hide his amusement at all. "odd how it ended up there." ? Yeah i know right
but seriously if you're on the shorter side and you choose to get a chair instead of asking him he's a little upset. and worried. please don't hurt yourself
very serious if you hurt yourself or get sick. if you want to recover fast, let him take care of you. just know he's going to follow some strict rules to make sure you're healing as efficiently as possible
don't let this guy in the kitchen.... his lack of cooking skills make him very appreciative of any home cooked meals, and he knows some pretty good restaurants to make up for it
go ahead and hold onto kuras if you're stuck in a crowd again. like you Can trust him to not lose you, he meant that. but also he won't stop you from reaching for his hand/arm. asks if you're alright before continuing on
get him to relax by laying his head in your lap while you run your fingers through his hair
never minds bending down to kiss you. you can solve ths problem by getting him to sit down and standing between his legs by the way
forehead kisses are a go to!! and a hand on the small of your back
likes when the both of you talk about how your days went in the evening. i think he likes hearing about drama. he remembers names and stories and if he ever sees the person that pissed you off he's. a Little petty/passive-aggressive. he's really good at making it seem like it's accidental though. LOL
you know when you recommend something to someone and they figure out the big twist or mystery so fast you're like wtf. that's kuras. he pretends he doesn't know, especially the first few times, but eventually you just have to take the opportunity to make it a challenge. how fast can he do it y’know.
? glitter eyeshadow. give it a thought and come back to me.
morning person who gets breakfast for you by the time you're up
giving me words of affirmation and quality time vibes. inviting you out whenever he isn't working and making sure you know you're a priority... casually saying some kind of sincere, poetic praise..
sort of a dry texter but you know what. he's supportive. boyfriend who doesn't know what game you've started and are now incoherently ranting about but does his best to guess and support u. looks up the wiki to read about the characters and plot on his own time
when the game has a secret and kuras Offers a Suggestion. a Guess. and he's right. and ur like OMG :D and he :). pretends he didn't look it up because you told him you were stuck yesterday

COOK, LOVE, AND HOME
Someone has already introduced the topic, but I want to delve deeper and give my vision on the matter.
This is the kind of thing that, when you think about it, is so obvious that you can't help but feel a little silly for not noticing it sooner.
When we talk about cooking, the doors are opened for many interpretations, but we will not go to something as complicated as… analyzing the dishes that appear next to the names of the episodes. It's something much simpler.
Cooking is something that we can associate with independence and maturity. I think this is easily represented by Arajin's mother, who, although she can be somewhat eccentric at times, let's not forget that she is also the owner of her own restaurant, in addition to having to take care of her son practically alone (as far as we know) both being responsibilities that are not exactly easy to carry. We even have Arajin himself, who despite demonstrating questionable behavior throughout the story, we know that he helps his mother, again, a responsibility about which he usually doesn't complain, being one of the few things that probably helped him with his trauma and develop a skill necessary for adult life, or in his particular case, a business that he will most likely inherit.
We can talk about the scene in which Arajin and Matakara cook together, these are already my conjectures, but perhaps it is a way to contrast how each one has tried to cope with their lives, and it's even more revealing if we remember that they were making gyozas ( They are stuffed/external part, internal part), showing us that Arajin (despite what one might think) has had more tools at his disposal (which his mother also provided him) to move forward than Matakara, who has managed to do so, as we can see, with great difficulty.
Akutaro is another one we see cooking in episode 7, but since it's something he's doing more out of obligation (and possibly threat) perhaps it's more to emphasize that HE NEEDS INDEPENDENCE (he depends on Ichiya) and learning to manage with his own resources to mature.
Now let's talk about what really matters, cooking and love. Cooking has an important relationship with love, being very commonly represented as one of the most sincere gestures of affection, both for those who cook and those who eat. Let's remember when Marito is hospitalized and Mahoro visits him, the food that she prepares for him is well… we know… peculiar, but we see that despite this, even if it's not in front of his sister, Marito makes the effort to eat what she prepared for him, making us understand that despite seeming distant, he appreciates her.
On the other hand we see it in Arajin's mother and the effort she puts into preparing his lunches for school.
We also notice it with Matakara while he prepares the party to welcome his brother, where he offers to help Arajin to make the food. Let's remember that the only person with whom we have seen Matakara cook apart from Arajin is his brother, therefore, the two people for whom he feels the most affection. That's why he wants Mitsukini to eat something that he prepared with his own hands.
But here there is something else. We talk about cooking as a sign of maturity and affection for those we love, but there is something else, and you should already imagine what I mean. Cooking as a representation of a home and its warmth. We already see it with all of the above, especially Arajin, who if there is something he doesn't lack is his mother's love and support . Personally, this makes Matakara's situation even sadder, because if we are good observers, we have NEVER seen Matakara eating or cooking with his "relatives." Basically yelling at us that he doesn't feel part of them, which is confirmed when he simply leaves after what happens with his brother.
In contrast, Arajin's house is a place where we know that beyond being also a restaurant, it's a place where cooking is done with love, therefore,it's not just a house, it's a home.
And now that we know about his past, it's just heartbreaking. Deep down, Matakara not only wants strength, he wants someone who won't abandon him, he wants a home and feel its warmth, maybe that's why we see him so happy making gyoza with Arajin, because it had been a long time since he could experience it. In the end, for Matakara, any place where he can be with a person he loves is his home.

Matchmaker's Regret
Hakuba Saguru was known for his keen intellect and sharp deduction skills, traits that had earned him a reputation as a brilliant detective. He had a close friend named Hattori Heiji, whose passion for solving crimes matched his own. Yet, despite their shared love for unraveling mysteries, Hattori often found himself feeling incomplete, as if ‘something’ was missing from his life.
One evening, as they sat together in Hakuba's study drinking wine, surrounded by shelves of books and the faint scent of aged paper, Hakuba observed his friend's weird behavior. Hattori’s doing a certain pose right now which he does whenever he’s solving a complicated case. But right now, they’re just hanging out. So what might Hattori be thinking in that prett— in that head of his?
Tired of the silence, Hakuba finally decided to break it.
"Hattori," Hakuba began, his tone thoughtful, "I can't help but notice that you seem somewhat... weir— scratch that, you’ve always been weird.” He said as he fiddled with the wine glass’ stem. He coughed and continued what he was saying. “Well, I meant to say that you seem bored lately."
Hattori sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yeah, I guess.” He paused for a second before continuing. “Don't get me wrong, Haku, I love what we do. But sometimes it feels like there's something more I'm searching for. It feels empty inside here." He said as he placed his hand over his heart.
“Hm.” Hakuba wanted to tease Hattori for saying that but as he gazed over at him, he noticed the sincerity in his friend's eyes, the faint furrow in his brow showing a deeper sense of longing. So instead of teasing him, Hakuba adopted a more serious tone. "I understand, Hattori. It's natural to feel that way sometimes, especially when we're caught up in the routine of our work.” Hakuba leaned forward, his blue eyes gleaming with determination. "I believe I know precisely what you need, Hattori.”
“Hm?” Hattori looked at him. “You do?” He asked as Hattori nodded and smiled.
“What you're missing is someone to share your life with—a person you can love."
This got Hattori’s attention even more.
“A person I can.. love? I never thought of that before. My heart skipped a beat when you said it just now so I believe that you’re right.” Hattori chuckled as he came to this realization.
But then he slumped on his seat again, drink in hand. “But.. where can I even find love in the first place?” Hattori sighed again.
Hakuba smirked.
“I can help you with that.”
“Oh? Then pray tell.” Hattori sipped some of the wine before putting the glass back on the table.
“I have this friend in Tokyo. I believe he’s looking for someone too.” Hakuba smirked. “Don’t worry about getting along with him. He’s a detective too and has been solving crimes since high school, just like you. Moreover, I believe you have heard of him?” He said as Hattori just tilted his head, obviously confused.
“He was known as the Detective of the Eas—” He was cut off as Hattori started coughing. Worried by this sudden situation, Hakuba hurriedly grabbed a glass of water to hand it to him. Hattori drank it and calmed down.
“Are you alright?” Hakuba said as he sat back down.
“Oh, don’t worry. I’m alright. I just can’t believe you’re friends with such a pretty big shot like him.” Hattori laughed, awkwardly.
“Did you just call him pretty? Have you guys ever even met?”
“Well, no. I just saw him in the news occasionally and thought he’s pretty. God forgives men who appreciate the beauty of other men.” Hattori rolled his eyes.
“You’re so dramatic. I didn’t mean it like that. Well, anyway. I'll get in touch with him and arrange a time for you both to meet up. Does that sound good?” Hakuba sipped some of the wine again.
Hattori nodded, slightly amused by their conversation. "Yeah, that sounds good. Thanks, Haku. I appreciate it."
Hakuba smiled, pleased that Hattori was on board with the idea. "No problem at all. I think you two will get along just fine. And who knows, maybe you'll even be able to work on a case together in the future."
The thought intrigued Hattori. Working alongside another skilled detective could prove to be both challenging and rewarding. "Yeah, that would be interesting. I'm looking forward to meeting him."
As they continued chatting, the evening wore on, filled with discussions about their respective detective work, shared cases, and the intricacies of solving mysteries.
~~
With Hakuba’s declaration, he set out to play matchmaker, determined to find the perfect ‘companion’ for his friend. He reached out to his friend from Tokyo, a young man named Kudo Shinichi, whom he believed would be an excellent match for Hattori.
He called him, one afternoon, and the other line immediately picked up.
“Hello? Hakuba-san? To what do I owe the honor?”
“Stop being so formal, Kudo-kun. We’ve known each other for a long time and I know you don’t act like this.” Hakuba bluntly said.
Shinichi laughed and said, “Stop being so serious, Haku-san. Then, what do you need me for?”
“Oh, well. I— you said you’re looking for a date right?”
“Oh? Is this what I think it is? Are you offering yourself as my date? Hm, didn’t think you like me like tha—” Shinichi was cut off because Hakuba sensed the other was smirking, even though he couldn’t see him.
“No. It’s not me. It’s a friend of mine. He’s a detective too.”
Shinichi laughed at Hakuba’s blunt response.
“Well, I’m free anytime. Just text me when he’s available."
“Alright, I hope you two get along…. Oh wait, I forgot to tell him good luck with you..”
“Huh?! What do you mean by good luck with me? I am, like, the most kind and responsible person anyone will ever meet.” Shinichi huffed.
“Sure, keep telling yourself that.” Hakuba said as he hanged up the phone without giving time for Shinichi to response.
~~
A week later, introductions were made, and from the moment Hattori and Shinichi met, there was an undeniable spark between them. (Hakuba immediately excused himself when the two walked into a cafe for their first date). They bonded over their shared interests, their conversations flowing effortlessly as they discovered more about each other.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as Hattori and Shinichi continued to grow closer. They spent countless hours together, exploring the city, solving mysteries, and simply enjoying each other's company.
Hattori found himself drawn to Shinichi's sharp wit and unwavering determination, while Shinichi admired Hattori's resilience and fearlessness in the face of danger.
Their partnership (dates) extended beyond mere crime-solving; they became each other's confidants, sharing their hopes, fears, and dreams late into the night. Hattori found solace in Shinichi's understanding nature, knowing that he was someone he could always turn to in times of need.
As Hattori's attention drifted further toward Shinichi, Hakuba couldn't shake the twinge of sadness that tugged at his heart. Each time he saw them together, laughing or solving cases to cases, Hakuba felt a pang of jealousy mixed with longing.
He missed him. Hakuba missed his Hattori so much. He missed their late-night talks about cases and other things, and the competitive spirit that fueled their interactions. He missed the way Hattori talks, and moves, and the way Hattori gets excited whenever he talks about the books of his favorite author, Ellery Queen.
Trying to fill the void, Hakuba threw himself into his own investigations, but the thrill of solving puzzles, cases, and mysteries felt hollow without Hattori by his side.
One fateful day, as Hakuba was engrossed in deciphering a particularly complicated case, his phone rang. It was Hattori, his best friend who he hasn’t heard for weeks. His voice sounded excited.
“Ha-ku-ba-kun~ Guess whattt!!!”
“If you stopped screaming into my ears, then maybe I can guess it.”
“You’re as mean as ever”
“You deserve it.”
Hattori chuckled, “Well anyway, I have news!”
With a sinking feeling in his chest, Hakuba listened intently as Hattori revealed the news. His breath caught in his throat as Hattori confessed that he and Shinichi had decided to start dating.
For Hakuba, it was as if the world had come to a standstill. He felt a whirlwind of emotions coursing through him – surprise and a profound sadness that he couldn't quite comprehend. His mind raced as he tried to process the revelation.
He should have expected this, of course. He was the one who introduced the two men to each other because they were both looking for love. He knew that they had a lot in common, so it wouldn't be surprising to see them become close immediately.
He knew, of course, he knew.
But he hadn't anticipated they'd be together now even after only a year of knowing each other.
As Hattori spoke excitedly, telling his best friend all of what happened between him and Shinichi, Hakuba realized the depth of his own feelings. He had never fully acknowledged them before, burying them deep within his heart. But now, faced with the reality of Hattori being with someone else, Hakuba couldn't ignore the truth any longer.
Hakuba's chest tightened with a pang of sorrow, but he masked his true emotions behind a facade of happiness for his friend. "That's wonderful news, Hattori," he said, forcing a smile. "I'm truly happy for you both."
“Thank you so much, Haku. If it weren’t for you, we would have actually never met. I’ll make sure to make you my groomsman when Shinichi and I get married.” Hattori laughed, “Well, I gotta go now. I’ll see you around, Haku!”
As Hattori hung up the phone, Hakuba couldn't help but feel a sense of regret wash over him. He realized that his feelings for Hattori ran deeper than mere friendship—that perhaps when he helped Hattori find his happiness, he had overlooked his own desires.
Hakuba took a deep breath, steeling himself against the pain of unrequited love. He knew he had to let go, to find his own path forward without Hattori by his side. And as he grabbed a glass of wine (the same wine Hakuba and Hattori drank that evening), a sense of bittersweet acceptance settled over him, mingling with the echoes of what could have been.
Hii, I hope you had a great time reading that! Also this is an au where there's no conan and shinichi's personality is so much better than the 'before conan' in the original, if you get what i mean. also, shinichi and heiji is kinda ooc but erm thats alr, right?

I want 7 kinds of love from Auriven STAT: Eros 4, Philia 3, Storge 1, Agape 3, Ludus 5, Pragma 1 :3, Philautia 2, (and 4 because I am Greedy)
<3
Well far be it from me to deny you, dear. Comes with a read more since this got long:
Eros 4: Do they believe in love at first sight? Have they ever developed a crush or romantic (or erotic) fixation upon a stranger based on their appearance alone?
Auriven has developed erotic interest in people based on how enjoyable they might be to listen to or touch but romantic love is an infrequent feeling that takes a lot more than looks. He’s thoroughly grey/demi-romantic and the idea of love at first sight is absurd to him. How is their appearance going to tell him anything about how they would be in a relationship?! Three of his older siblings married before he went to university and said as much about meeting their partners for the first time. No matter what they said about understanding ‘when he got older’, it never made sense at any age so he decided to ignore it.
When he does experience romantic love it’s of the ‘love at fiftieth sight variety, when people become part of his routine and he looks forward to seeing them as much as anything else he likes to do in a day.
Philia 3: What qualities does your OC most value in a friend? Loyalty? Shared sense of humour? Or something else?
A pleasant speaking voice, though he’d prefer to say ‘curiosity’ or ‘shared sense of humor’ unless he knows the other person won’t judge him for it. Those qualities are important and can weigh more heavily in a person’s favor, but if he’s going to hear someone talk for an indefinite amount of time over the course of his life, they NEED to have a pleasant voice to listen to. Competitiveness and a love of friendly debate is something he seeks out in both friends and potential relationship partners.
He also appreciates patience, and people who think of him even if he hasn’t seen them in a bit or moved cities without mentioning it to anyone first.
Storge 1: Did your OC's parents love them unconditionally? If so then has this helped them feel confident as an adult? If not then how has this affected them? What were the conditions their family attached to their relationship?
Love was something more often acted out rather than said in his family home. Whenever one of his guardians* peeled and cut his fruit for him, or made his clothes extra soft in the wash even though it took longer, or sang to him before bed, he knew. Most of his guardians didn’t say it freely, but the ones who did made it sound sincere. No one would say their love came with conditions but Auriven picked up on the expectations as he got older: pick fewer fights, be quieter, study harder, marry well. Each more impossible than the last. He knows his family loves him and it’s made their disapproval harder to bear.
Agape 3: To what extent does your OC believe in the value (or even existence) of true altruism? Do they see an unselfish concern for the welfare of others as being naïve or foolish? Or as a moral quality to which people should aspire?
Auriven has a… complicated relationship with the concept of “true” (as dictated by culture) altruism. The concept reminds him too much of conforming to social expectations to benefit his family even at great personal cost. That’s not to say he doesn’t work towards a common good, but he does so when the cost to himself is something he can deal with (ie being sore for a couple days because he volunteered at a river cleanup or walking into work wet because he gave someone else his umbrella). He doesn’t consider his past work as a medic or utilizing those skills in an emergency ‘altruistic’ because being able to understand and respond in those situations gives him personal satisfaction.**
Ludus 5: What seduction techniques are most likely to be effective when it comes to your OC? Are there some things guaranteed to get them going? Or are they immune to such things?
He is weak for someone(s) sitting in his lap. He enjoys having his hair played with but he will physically move his head (or your hand) away if you’re not doing it right. Generally willing to be physically affectionate or reciprocate physical touch if he’s sure what the expectations the other person has (ie a one night stand or something similarly casual). Friendly competition also pays dividends with him.
Context is key with Auriven- approaching him at a gay bar or other local cruising spot with something as basic as, “Hey you’re hot, wanna fuck?” will get the ball rolling. He really appreciates the lack of ambiguity and ability to say “no thank you” so you can both move on with your evening. What throws up a lot of learned avoidance (read by others as obliviousness***) of someone’s advances is when mutual interest beyond casual hook-ups is involved. He can work himself into analysis paralysis trying to decide if he wants to join another polycule or reciprocate an acquaintance’s feelings based on what the social consequences might be if it doesn’t work out. He genuinely (to the point of feeling ill) hates hurting someone’s feelings without meaning to and a lot of his social skills were learned the hard way so he’s overly cautious. For those interested in a relationship, taking him by the shoulders and saying in a clear voice, “To clarify, I’m attracted to you sexually and romantically. I want to date, make out, and have sex with you in the near-immediate future. No, this is not a joke or hypothetical. Your thoughts?” would certainly do the trick. It worked for his husband.
Pragma 1: Is your OC in a committed long-term relationship (or relationships)? If so then what has contributed to this relationship lasting so well? If they are not in such a relationship, then is this something that saddens them or which they regret?
Auriven is married to two people he loves very much, and he is the most surprised out of anyone about that. His previous arranged marriage ended poorly (and prematurely, considering he skipped town after the first day of the ceremony) because he realized when it was almost too late that he would have to hide too much of himself and be someone he wasn’t to make a bunch of people who weren’t him happy. After burning that bridge with the matchmaker and his older relatives he didn’t think he’d ever get married, let alone to two people outside of his community. A few things changed: he left his community and finished university, got more comfortable engaging with what makes him happy, and met two people who left their homes for similar reasons who were willing to make space for him.
Philautia 2: Does your OC believe that it is important to love themselves in the first instance? Perhaps in order to be able to give and receive love authentically? Or because they believe first and foremost in "looking after number one"?
The emotional work of understanding and accepting himself in a loving way doesn’t come easily. He’s worked up to liking himself again, baby steps. He takes cues from the ways people he cares for have shown love for him and uses it to keep taking care of himself. After he ended his engagement he wallowed in the expectations he never set out to fulfill, not seeing himself as worthy of love; he credits his older sister and some of his more understanding relatives for pulling him out of it. He latched on to certain things that helped- treating taking care of himself as favors for Future Him helped him accept that he at the very least deserved clean clothes for the next day and fresh fruit. Now he’s at a point where he’s picking up old hobbies without apology and giving himself room to get weird with it. If that’s love then that’s something he’s happy to live with but he wouldn’t have gotten there without other people loving him first.
4: Which of your OC's qualities makes them the most proud? Do they think more people should be like them in this regard? Or do they quite like being rare in possessing it?
He’s proud (his sister would say vain) of his voice and how much control he has over it now, both speaking and singing. He’s very proud of not being squeamish about blood/injuries/etc because it made practicing medicine possible. Put on an act
Pairing: Foggy Nelson x reader
Summary Foggy panickly introduced you as his partner to his ex.
Prompts :“Can’t believe I let you drag me into this” and “Act like we’re dating, I see my ex”
Word Count: 1300
Warnings: none I can think of
A/N: This is my entry for @locke-writes 2k celebration. Congats again Noah and I hope you will like this
''We need to pick something meaningful. Which ones do you think will say 'thanks for sticking around' and ' we appreciate you'?'' Foggy asked you looking around the flower shop a little lost. Karen's ten-year anniversary working for Matt and Foggy was coming up. The little celebration was your idea after Karen narrated how she came to work with them when you were first hired as a paralegal. You couldn't believe how fortunate you were to be employed by such terrific people.
''I know that, pick pansies, sunflowers, and yellow roses. We actually had a botany and flower meaning class in my university.'' Your tone was so sincere that you could fool anyone that didn't know how fond of sarcasm you were.
''Really?'' Foggy sounded enthusiastic hoping he wouldn't have to stay any longer in the shop and he could just return to the office and the case he was working on.
''Of course not. I have no clue, my botanic skills and non-existent. Let me look it up.'' You searched for the right choices while Foggy was trying hopelessly to locate someone to help you.
After about ten minutes you looked up from your phone.
''Ok, I think I have a decent bouquet picked out. We just need to find those four flowers and ask one of the florists if they go well together.'' You tried to show Foggy your phone but he panicky turned toward you and asked you to follow him out of the way.
''I'm sure those are great but right now I need a favor. Please act like we’re dating, I see my ex over there.'' He nodded towards the entrance where a couple was browsing the potted plants.
''The blonde one, with the cute red coat? She looks like a nice girl.''
''She is but we broke up because she was offered a job in Chicago and I wanted to stay here. And you know me, I couldn't deal with having a long distant relationship. So, please pretend to be my partner if she notices us.''
You didn't get the chance to respond before Marci was right behind you without her company excited to see Foggy again.
''Hi, I almost didn't see you there. How have you been?'' Marci greeted her ex and you couldn't help but admire her confidence. She had a way of talking and could make everyone around her stop to listen to her.
''I'm great. Still working with Matt and the business is doing fantastic. Oh, and that's my partner (Y/N) who also works with us.'' You shook her hand.
''So you are Marci. I knew Foggy's ex was a brilliant lawyer that helped him on cases and I am glad to finally meet you.''
''It's great to meet you too. I am happy that he found such a sweet person as you.'' Then the man who was with her earlier approached you.
''That's my husband Trevor. We got married five months ago and we just moved back to New York. Honey, these are Foggy and (Y/N).'' Trevor knew who Foggy was surprising you about how civil this random meeting was being. You could never imagine being that cordial with any of your exes due to the fact that you broke up because they were either immature or totally arrogant.
Marcia and Trevor had already placed their order and began to leave but not before they invited the two of you to dinner at their new house the next day. An invitation that Foggy accepted without a second thought.
''Are you out of your mind? Couldn't you lie and say we are busy or that Matt needs you for a case?'' You tried so hard to not raise your voice at him.
''I'm sorry, I didn't think this through. I can make something up to try to avoid this. Sorry, I honestly didn’t think it would bother you that much.''
''It's not bothering me. I just believe I would feel bad lying to them during the entire evening. They both seem so friendly. But it will be fine. I don't mind pretending to be your date or your partner. Now let us go see about those flowers. I picked daises that symbolize loyal love, arborvitae for unchanging friendship, and lastly for affection zinnia, and morning glory. I believe Karen deserves the best bouquet for her party.'' Foggy agreed with you and ordered the bouquet to be made and delivered to the office in the afternoon.
Later that day during your little celebration you informed Matt and Karen about your encounter earlier. They found it hilarious that you pretended to date and hoped you at least have a good time during dinner the next day.
You decided to get together before dinner to come up with a story about your relationship just in case they ask.
''We don't have to come up with a complicated story. I have been working for you for a while now and I liked you from the moment I met you. We will just say that after a while we decided to act on those feelings and hopefully, we will be together for a long time since we already see each other all the time. Simple enough?''
''Yes, I like it. I will say that I asked you out before the holidays so if you rejected me at least the office would be closed and I would only be humiliated and heartbroken at home.''
''I would never humiliate you. But, sure let's say that. I just can’t believe I let you drag me into this'' You playfully complained to him before making your way to Marci's home.
She and her husband were delighted to see the two of you, especially Foggy since he hadn't met any of Marci's other friends from when she used to live in New York.
As you predicted, you were asked about how long you are together and how your relationship started.
''I liked (Υ/Ν) since the first day we met. Matt was the one who decided on adding a new employee to our team and we were blessed with this angel. The first thing I noticed from our interview together was the approach to Matt's crazy questions. I hadn't seen anyone else answer him with such intelligence and creativity. And on top of that, we got lucky to find someone with a charming personality. I found the courage to ask (Y/N) out after working together on an extremely tough case. I can't hide that I was a little surprised that such a wonderful person agreed to date me.'' You mentioned that you were the lucky one. And indeed you always felt delighted to have met him. In addition, you hoped there was some truth to his words.
After dinner, he drove you home thanking you for everything and making small talk about work. However, you couldn't get his words out of your mind.
''Did you rehearse your little speech about how we started dating beforehand? Because it was really sweet.'' You asked him while still in his car.
''I didn't, I just honestly find you amazing.'' He couldn't bring himself to look at you right this moment.
''I find you amazing too. And I hope I could do this in a more romantic way but would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow? Just the two of us this time.''
''You mean it? Because I would love to.''
''Of course, I mean it. I will text you the details tomorrow morning after I make a reservation.'' You smiled at him and after giving him a peck on the cheek you left the car. The moment you entered your home you took notes of all the things you had to do the next day in preparation for your first real date.

Dream a Little Dream of Me - XV
Celestia has a cruel sense of humor. He’s always known this, ever since his days as a student. But a soulmate? Really? Dottore/Female Reader Soulmate AU. Lore speculation, interpretations, etc. AO3 Chapter is Here.
Waking felt like coming up for air after almost drowning. A sudden rush of senses, your real senses, aware of everything around you as your mind caught up with everything around you. The sheets were cool and soft against your skin, chatter from downstairs rose through the floorboards, and beyond that you could make out voices discussing transactions from the nearby fruit stall outside. You brushed your fingers against the sheets, thinking of how their weave didn’t compare to the softness you imagined beneath them.
Such things, such possibilities, had to wait. Perhaps they always would. The Doctor himself outright said his schedule wasn’t workable after all; hardly surprising, really. As Second Harbinger, he probably had a lot of responsibilities and oversight. Disappointing all the same.
You turned your head to your bedside table, finding the letter from your patron exactly where you left it. It did seem sincere, or as sincere as someone with money and the power to use it could, but the notion of returning and playing at the whim of others like an automaton made your stomach churn. Maybe you weren’t the perfect fit for the orchestra; you were too dedicated, too in love with the notion of music itself, worked far too hard for far too long while others came and went with mediocrity.
But it was exactly as you said to him. Returning would be far more dangerous. You could do the most good, learn far more outside of your nation than you ever could inside it, and it felt wonderful to play for those who appreciated your skill as opposed to those who looked on as though you were a talented zoo animal.
Words needed to be carefully crafted. They couldn’t hold a double meaning but they needed to be polite and gentle enough to not hurt feelings or create sentiments you never intended.
The other agony of Fontaine. No one ever said what they meant or meant what they said. Your patron was an exception but you grew to learn it was because they needed you to know exactly where you stood: in the palm of their hand.
A place you never wanted to be again.
You wiped the remnants of heavy sleep from your eyes and rose, grabbing the letter as you made your way to the small desk tucked into the other corner of the room. The surface was neatly arranged with two piles of papers: one for performance sheet music and the other for pieces of compositions you were still working on. You sat down and reached for your pen and a fresh sheet of paper, scrawling your response as the words came to you in a practiced cadence of rejection.
It was hardly the first such letter you’ve ever written.
But it would, hopefully, be the last.
____________________
Days of meetings and rehearsals grew into a week, and then another, and another. Your dreams were frequent enough but you never slept long enough for them to last or to even truly remember them.
You arrived back in your rooms after one particularly grueling rehearsal to find a package with a salve and a small container of mild painkillers on your pillow. A letter accompanied them, explaining their properties and correct usage.
Every now and again, you caught a glimpse of a bird with a bright, glowing eye or the tail of a white coat. It felt like a game sometimes, if you could spot your Doctor in the crowd, but without fail, every time your mind wandered to him, there he was.
Even in your dreams, he seemed preoccupied as of late. You were too tired to press it and deep down, you knew he might not even tell you more than you needed to know.
Both remedies helped. Not that you doubted him, of course.
The day before the Festival, the innkeeper handed you a letter when you asked for any mail, their eyes averted as they whispered that a Fatuus had been the one to drop it off. Your heart nearly stopped and the weariness of the day seemed to slip right off your shoulders. The package had been simply handed off to housekeeping, given the private nature of the contents; why would a letter not receive the same treatment?
You thanked them, schooling your face as best you could, and grabbed a second cup of coffee from the breakfast table before returning to your room with a passing comment that you needed to double-check on something. Privacy was always hard to come back when you traveled in a group of your size that you doubted anyone would question your momentary disappearance. You placed the cup down carefully before you ran your fingers over the seal. It didn’t bear the Fatui sigil, the one most of Teyvat knew, but rather what appeared to be a winged circle, caged, pierced with a cross. Intricate but incredibly specific, no doubt. It didn’t belong to your patron, certainly.
Carefully, you broke the seal, and unfolded the paper, finding it filled with a penmanship that made you second-guess yourself every few words. You mumbled the words to yourself in an attempt to better understand the loops and scribbles. Beautiful but utterly illegible.
A request to meet tonight, in the Razan Gardens, just beyond the Akademiya’s walls, and a tour of…
You squinted. The Sanctuary of Suristhana? You tried to recall if you’d ever seen the name before but it sounded important, ethereal even. Your hand reached for the cup of coffee without a second thought, sipping the scalding liquid as you re-read the letter twice.
He had time for this? Why hadn’t it come up in all of the dreams in the past couple of weeks? He hardly seemed the type to organize surprises of this type. Hell, you barely had time for this. The Festival started early, you needed to be prepared, and you’d initially hoped for an early evening.
For a moment, you wondered if he would even bother coming to watch such a festival. He never spoke highly of the gods to begin with and he hardly seemed to think favorably of his homeland, from what you recalled.
The notion of at least one proper interaction spurred you through the rest of your day, your mind on autopilot. Sunset couldn’t come soon enough.

I have intentionally waited until April Fools was over to share something.
Let it be known that I have been very much off about when chapter 28 would be released. I appreciate the patience.
In hopes of alleviating the wait, I have decided to share a "mega" preview. Despite the name, it's very little in comparison to the entire thing, even as it is now.
Into the Keep Reading you go.
PREVIEW OF CHAPTER 28: ALL THE THINGS WE MISSED
On one such occasion, it was to inform him that he’d hired someone on as a “repair technician”, as the Tarwill called it. “What for? My work is impeccable. There’s really no need for that.”
“I donno…” Viktor shrugged, tone nonchalant, “He made a pretty convincing case for himself. I couldn’t say no to his determination…” Then promptly wheezed in laughter.
“Hm. I’ll be the judge of that.” Quickly, he took Viktor by the arm, and teleported the both of them to the shuttle hangar. It caught The Webspace’s leader off-guard, who let out a sharp noise of surprise.
“For fuck sake, 1,” He tried to sound serious, but was moreso rattled, “Warn me next time. Jesus.”
“Ah, sorry,” 1 spoke sincerely, then added, “I want to test your determined little technician. If he is going to be looking after my devices, he must be nothing but the best.”
Viktor snorted. “Oh, he is alright. A well-made… Something. Absolutely.”
“You don’t sound like you mean it.” 1 was sighing.
“I know, I know. Hang on, I’ll call him.” Right after he’d done so, 1 could hear a new sound amidst the rest - footsteps that somehow managed to be more audible than everything else. As it got closer, it was accented in faint, motorized whirs. But both were in harmony, sophisticated, and intentional.
And then, a third person stopped in front of Viktor and 1, with perfect posture. A swift glance into his file revealed his name: BILLY.CS. He seemed promising, but appearances are not enough.
“Mr. Strobovski, sir,” He gave a nod of acknowledgement, “What is it you need of me?”
1 stifled a shudder. He reminded him of those films, with robots who act in subservient roles, before inevitably turning on Humankind. And Billy in particular came off as if he were Viktor’s personal
“Oh yeah! Forgot that part,” The Tarwill chuckled, “Billy, this is Dave #1, but he just prefers the number. He’s responsible for the things that you’ll repair. He wants to test you or whatever.” He nudged him. “You sure you want to do this?”
“Please don’t question my methods,” 1 dodged the inquiry, then turned to the android. “You believe you are fit for this role?”
“Correct,” His answer was prompt. Stoic. “Ever since I’ve been outmoded in the very thing I’m most skilled at, I have decided to take it upon myself to bear the responsibility of ensuring your inventions work as intended.” Oh. Oh wow. There was a little bite to this machine.
“Mm-hmm, how fascinating.” 1 tabbed to his toolbox, floated higher, then opened it and turned it over. Several construction pieces fell to the concrete floor, echoing and reverberating noisily throughout the hangar. He was sure at least one person turned to look, but what 1 truly noticed was Billy trying not to cringe from the decibels.
“1, cut that shit out!” Viktor was more vocal about it, though. For a second, 1 forgot he was there. “Do you want us to go deaf?!”
“Oops, no. I must’ve slipped,” 1 fibbed, returning to his side. “Anyway, your task is to successfully build one of my shuttles from scratch. You have by the end of the day.” He didn’t wait for a reply, starting to leave instead. At least, until Viktor stopped him.
“No no no, asshole. You’re staying to watch.”
If only 1 had a stopwatch running, for it must’ve been no more than ten minutes. Sitting atop the newly-built shuttle, the android bore a slightly smug expression. “‘But Billy,’ you might be asking, ‘How could you have known its specifications?’ Well 1, you see, I took the time to study all of your blueprints. It took me five seconds just for this one. And, perhaps it goes without saying, but my robotic mind allows for a flawless, photographic memory.”
1 couldn’t respond. Billy noticed his silence. “Now, unless you would either: prefer to maintain them yourself, or are certain you can find someone better suited for this job, I think your assessment of me is complete, and you will have no choice but to rely on me. It is the least I can do, to thank you for creating the house cubes.” His tone held an air of controlled confidence, layered within the flatness, but those last two words were tenser, as if there’d been a personal slight against him.
Billy got down from the shuttle, dusting himself off despite not being the least bit dirtied. “… Ah. I hope I haven’t spoken out of turn, Mr. Strobovski.” And on a dime, his demeanor returned to normal. Looking up at him, the Tarwill had a big, dumb grin on his face.
“What? Nah, you’re good,” He met eyes with 1. “Satisfied? You look impressed.”
God, he’d let himself lose his cool, and to this… Petty android. He straightened up. “Why, yes, of course. He may stay on-board. He sounds like he is capable.”
“Then, if there is nothing else, I will take my leave. Have a good rest of your day, Mr. Strobovski. 1.” Only at the mention of his name did Billy’s connotation shift. Then, his exit was precise, consistent with his previous movements. 1… Honestly hadn’t seen this whole situation coming.
When Billy was gone, Viktor let out a laugh, like it’d been restrained until now. “Isn't he a riot?!”
“More like a show-off. And quite spiteful.”

Idk why Marco and Jinbe specifically are my favorite. Tbh they both show up so late in the manga but I don't even remember who my favorites were before them. I just saw them and it was an immediate latching on, my brain just went YUP THEMS THE ONE. (At least for Jinbe, with Marco it didn't happen until Marineford.) But where do I even begin. I'm head over heels for those men. I would bear their children if they wanted (and I don't want kids so much that I got sterilized, but if I weren't and they were real and asked- yes, anything for you, absolutely.)
Marco is just. Ugh, so cool, the moment he transformed I knew it was over (I am weak for animal-shifter characters or chars with animal traits.) But beyond the coolest zoan fruit ever he's just so loyal and fun and sweet. I think about Marco frequently. I don't generally use this phrase because it's a bit after my time, but I could consider him a comfort character. When I cook I think of Sanji standing by encouraging me. When I do difficult mental health stuff or taking care of myself I think of Marco. I know he would care so much it hurt. I just feel it. If I need reassurance falling asleep, bam, I just picture him with me. And things are better because someone I think is amazing cares.
Currently have a Marco/Reader longfic planned. The Google doc for it is 18k words of just notes/scene ideas. It's the longest doc of all my planned longfics. Speaking of which, I really need to read Birds of a Feather.
As for Jinbe... he's so genuinely kind and honest. I love his laugh. I love how badass he is. I love knowing how strong he is but knowing he would be SO gentle. He's a pillar in the communities he's in. He knows when he's made mistakes and apologizes sincerely (i.e. Arlong). He's determined and headstrong in a good way. I love how he shows that pride can be a beautiful, just thing.
Also I love how god dang BIG he is and I love his pointy teeth and big mouth and cute round nose. I'm terrified of whale sharks IRL (the thought of being in the water with anything big scares me but especially things with huge mouths like whales, like, just a picture of a basking shark feeding gives me the creeps) but I know Jinbe would take me swimming and introduce me to one all gently and show me there's nothing to be afraid of even as I have a death grip on his hand.
Marco is not Jinbe big but he's still stupidly tall compared to me and that makes me kinda swoon. I love my big faves. I love how happy thinking about them makes me.
I need to finish plotting a Jinbe fic. Shameful I've never put out any solo works with wither fave in them. Idk why!!! Brain weird.
Thanks for listening to my rambles!!
(Also, speaking of poly stuff, Ace keeps creeping into the Marco fic wanting to be included and at this point I'm starting to cave in...)
\o/ I love everything about this. I had to read it twice because my "I just woke up for the day" brain wasn't picking it all up the first time.
I will, without shame, say, yes, you should read Birds of a Feather. I'm quite proud of how it's turning out and it might become my personal favorite at this rate.
I've noticed that it can actually be harder to write about your faves. I think there's a paralysis in there of wanting to get it PERFECT, because your feelings for them are so strong that anything less than PERFECT isn't good enough. But, we don't love them cause they're perfect, and thus perfection isn't a requirement - it's never a requirement, it's a trap, honestly.
Getting words and lines on paper is all that's needed. The intent will be there, the skill will follow, but the EFFORT, that's the important part. The effort to just type or draw or whatever. That attempt, that time, that result - no matter how it turns out, that's the important part. That's the love.
To try and fail is more a sign of appreciation and love than to stay still waiting perfection.
BUT I HAVE DIGRESSED A BIT.
If Ace wants to be included, I wouldn't stop him. /nod nod/. More than that though, when you start posting these, tag me, or DM me or send an ask with a link.
I look forward to reading them ^_^

Tsurune Audio Drama: A Shot of Color 8 Being Pestered by Mutou-sensei
Unstoppable force (me wanting to post stuff in order to be organised) vs immovable object (me procrastinating + my schoolwork) /hj well at least the audio dramas for these last until april 19 lol No special notes here just enjoy Mutou-sensei being uh, intense, to say the least. Hang in there, Masa-san. It's nice to see him act like a young adult sometimes though lmao
Tommy-sensei: Then… Cheers! Mutou-sensei & Masaki: Cheers! Mutou-sensei: I’d like to sincerely thank the both of you for accepting my invitation today. Tommy-sensei: Now, now, there’s no need to be so tense. We’re having a relaxed gathering today, Mutou-sensei. Mutou-sensei: Yes! Thank you very much! Masaki: Here, have a glass. Mutou-sensei: Much obliged, Takigawa-sensei, I’ll be sure to savor it. Masaki: I don’t mind being referred to casually. Mutou-sensei: Ah, but that’s rather… Tommy-sensei: I’d much prefer if you called me Tommy. Mutou-sensei: To-Tommy…? Tommy-sensei: My full name is Morioka Tomio, so you get “Tommy”. Mutou-sensei: I, I understand… Masaki: Is Kirisaki off from club today? Mutou-sensei: Yes, there’s no use to having daily practice when there’s nothing to work towards. Masaki: This might seem rude for me to say all of a sudden, so I apologize, but you always striked me as the type to approach kyudo competitively. Tommy-sensei: He was the one that trained Kirisaki to be such a powerhouse after all. Mutou-sensei: N-Not at all! For you to speak of me in such a way, Morioka-sensei– Tommy-sensei: It’s Tommy. Mutou-sensei: …It’s gracious of you to say that about me, Tommy-sensei, I can only humble myself. Tommy-sensei: Oh, none of that now. Here, have another drink. Mutou-sensei: Thank you! Mutou-sensei: Although the reason I started kyudo in the first place was because of Yasaka Akihiro 8-dan. Masaki: Grandpa? Mutou-sensei: To be more accurate, for someone like me who just did the sport but had no direction at the time, seeing Yasaka 8-dan’s shots made me realize that this was something you worked on throughout your whole life. Masaki: It affected you that much? Mutou-sensei: It did! His shots were that impressive. Rather than being full of spirit with the intent to purify whatever they were aimed at, it was more so you wouldn’t expect when it was shot and it would reach the target just as swiftly. And then, it would hit. Mutou-sensei: Even to untrained eyes like mine, I could tell that I was in the presence of an expert–no, a master of his craft. Tommy-sensei: Ah, Mutou-sensei what subject do you teach? Was it classical or chinese literature? Mutou-sensei: Huh? Oh, no, I teach math. Tommy-sensei: I-I see... Ah, well, don’t mind me, go ahead. Mutou-sensei: ...With all that being said, I wanted to ask you for stories of your grandfather, Takigawa-sensei. Masaki: Eh? Mutou-sensei: Like what kind of training did he do usually? Did he have any special practice routines or… Actually, even just stories from his day to day life would be much appreciated…! Masaki: Well… Even if you ask me those things… I’m sorry, Mutou-sensei, but I didn’t really talk with him much since starting university. Mutou-sensei: But why?! Masaki: Woah there… To put it simply, um… It’s a usual case of drifting apart, or something like that. The both of us didn’t really see eye to eye on most things so— Mutou-sensei: Just what are you saying, Takigawa-sensei?! Masaki: Woah! Mutou-sensei: I’ve seen the way you shoot, it’s precise, beautiful, and looks as if it’s effortless. I’d dare say it was a direct display of Yasaka-sensei’s skills..! Tommy-sensei: You really do admire him, don’t you? Masaki: Hearing someone call grandpa’s shots ‘beautiful’ is kind of– Mutou-sensei: It seems you can’t see it for yourself! Or are you being humble? You are, aren’t you? Masaki: Mutou-sensei, you’re getting a bit too close– your face, it’s too close. Mutou-sensei: I’m envious of you, being able to live with Yasaka-sensei and learn his secrets… While an inept outsider like myself could only improve by earnestly taking countless shots and re-examining myself. Masaki: But isn’t that the best way to improve? Mutou-sensei: Takigawa-sensei! You simply do not realize how blessed you are! Masaki: Even if you tell me that I– Mutou-sensei: Ah… If only I were able to, I would've wanted to become one of Yasaka-sensei’s students, I would’ve wanted to be the best one! No! I’d even become his grandson! I would’ve liked to call him, “Grandfather!”... Masaki: …Mutou-sensei, there are other diners here, so if you could keep it down please… Are you drunk, maybe? Mutou-sensei: I am not! I feel miserable!! Masaki: Tommy-sensei… Tommy-sensei: Fufu, what a passionate conversation this turned out to be. How nice! Masaki: What part of it is ‘nice’ exactly…!

"Good afternoon, Leonardo. Keeping well, I hope." Elincia holds an object behind her back, careful to keep it out of sight. The sheepish expression on her face gives her motives away far too easily though, along with the pale pink flush on her cheeks. She had never been skilled in deception, no matter the circumstances. "I want to apologise, it's a little later than planned but I couldn't simply ignore your birthday." Shifting uncomfortable on her feet, she slowly presents him the surprise she'd kept hidden.
It's a bunny rabbit. Not a live, wiggling one of course! It would be reckless to spring an animal on someone who may not wish to or be in a position to care for it. Rather, it's a stuffed animal, plush with cotton inside and extra squishy. She's a little embarrassed that some of her stitches can still be seen despite her best efforts to hide him but she is proud of his golden, crocheted scarf, embroidered with a little deer at the ends.
"He took a little longer to finish than I planned and I couldn't well offer him up headless. What on earth would that imply?" Nervously, she offers it to Leonardo with awkward laughter, hoping the gift doesn't seem insulting. That she hasn't committed an awful faux pas here. They'd had little time to speak, to find common ground and yet... the image of them both in that field of rabbits is etched into her mind. Maybe it's an olive branch, an offer of friendship extended with great sincerity.
"Happy belated birthday. I er... hope you like it. But if you don't, I'm terribly sorry. Please, do with it whatever you see fit."
Elincia's voice catches Leonardo off-guard, surprise clear on his face as he turns to look at her upon hearing his name - though he masks it quickly with a light, courteous smile. "I am, thank you. I hope so are you," he responds.
She brings up his birthday, and his brow quirks ever so slightly - oh. It has now been a couple days, and he had expected everyone to move on to the more important daily matters by now. To learn that she had spent so much time preparing something for him, makes him... well, a mixture of embarrassed, flustered, grateful and curious.
He cannot help but feel his smile brighten up, however, as she presents the gift to him; a stuffed rabbit plushie, soft to the touch, reminiscent of some of the earliest memories of his carefree childhood. "You made this by hand?... It's so cute," he chuckles, looking over it as it arrives to his hands, before holding it close to his chest similarly to how he would a puppy.
"There is no need to apologize, or anything," he assures her quickly. He is not entirely certain why she would feel the need to apologize to him - treating him like a child, perhaps? He does not see it that way and he would not mind a chance to finally be one again, if only for a moment, really. "I love it... And I appreciate you spent so much time on this for me. Thank you."
The smile he gives Elincia as he says it is the warmest one she has received from him yet. Maybe he could finally accept that it is time to move on from what once was.

Here’s stuff my younger sisters have done (twins edition)
So, as many of you know, I have four younger sisters. The ones with the most material is the twins, who are almost 3 years younger than me. So here’s stuff that they have done:
They roller skated down the stairs several times. Only broke their arms once
They also fell into a fountain while roller skating somehow
One time when my third younger sister was a baby, we were babysat by a woman who btw was the mom to a girl I was rivals with for a while but anyways. The twins made her never want to babysit again because they held our sister over a pot of boiling water and said they were going to cook her.
So my house is inhabited by the spirits of our ancestors (I’m gonna have to explain that someday) and the twins decided to tease our great-aunt Vera by smashing brooms on the walls. Great-aunt Vera hates noise so whenever she is awoken we have to be silent. So when she heard all these noises, she cursed them both with one week of hoarse throats.
My aunt is a witch, and can see into the future. The twins decided to trick her by doing the opposite of what the future told them. But let’s just say you can’t change the future and whatever they did it turned out she predicted it. They gave up after a while.
One time at a halloween party, they stood in opposite ends of the room and whenever someone asked ”is your twin here?” they said no. If they then tried looking for the other twin, she had gone into hiding. Therefore it seemed like there was one of them just teleporting around the room.
So one of them got to play with this band, but both of them wanted to play with them. So, they switched off who rehearsed with them every day. This caused major problems because it turned out both of them has fallen for two different guys, which meant it seemed like there was one girl flirting with different guys each day. Also, one of the twins has a birthmark, and the other one painted it on her so it would be identical - but, she put it on the wrong side. She saved it by saying it was ”fashion” to paint birth marks.
Anyway it all ended with the guys arguing or something, cause the girls caused them to become jealous of each other, and then both girls entered the stage and everyone was like ”????” and then the guitarist, who honestly was just an innocent witness to the drama, fell off the stage. The twins then fled the scene and asked me to pick them up
Oh also there’s the time they got lost in the woods when we went camping as kids but that’s gonna need a full story to itself.

OP I have sent you a DM. I think I know your sisters.

You know, if I ever have children, I know I’ll probably worry if I’m doing the right thing, if I am a good parent, etc.
However, I have a friend who’s dad is… awful. Like truly everyone questions his choices. It doesn’t matter who tells him off - his own daughter, his other family members, other adults, his daughter’s friends, anyone. He is so stubborn that he won’t listen.
So anyway whenever I am unsure of my parenting skills, I’m just gonna say ”well, at least i’m not like him” and feel instantly better.
🎤 singing-is-who-i-am follow
I am both unsure about and appreciate the shit-talking about my dad. He sucks but also I love him.
But tbh when I have kids I, too, will say ”at least i’m not like him” whenever am in doubt over my parenting skills.
🥸 jeremias-realperson follow
I don’t know, you should probably see it from his perspective. He’s probably just a dad trying his best. You’re young, when you grow up you’ll probably realize that all his choices were actually good for you.

So, I’m the only one with red hair in my family. We’ve always assumed it’s a recessive gene and tbh it probably is. Anyway, I visited my friend like a year ago and her mom, who also has red hair, remarked that I looked just like her when she was young. We joked it’s probably because of the red hair.
Then I was hanging out with said friend the other day, and we happened to run into my mom. My friend has never met my mom before and I just realized how similar THEY look. Both have brown hair with glasses. Actually, all of my family has brown hair, and both my parents have glasses, while my older sister essentially looks like my friend but without glasses.
Now, here’s the biggest coincidence: Me and my friend share the same birthday.
It would be pretty funny if it turned out we were switched at birth or something, but that would be impossible since I am pretty sure we weren’t even born at the same hospitals.

Hahahaha uh hi update??
So I’m from Spain. I spent my first 8 years there before we moved to Argentina.
TURNS OUT. I was born in Buenos Aires actually??? My parents worked there for a year and ended up pregnant with me, and they moved back to Spain some days after I was born.
Still. Could be different hospitals. Buenos Aires is not a small city.

Hi everyone i’m said friend of hers.
We both found our birth certificates, and…
Same hospital.
We also looked through newborn baby photos to see if it could help, though we both realized we look more or less the same on them. Maybe I have slightly darker hair but it can be of the lightning.
Honestly at this point i’m wondering if we’re gonna do a DNA test or something.

When I was 12 one time I wore red shorts and after having afternoon snacks I got up from my chair and there was a red spot on it. My mom dragged me aside and asked me if I got my period and I said there was no way! obviously the red spot was my shorts leaving color marks.
my mom said well you're 12 so it's a high chance you got it and I was like no it's my shorts!!!!
So my mom asked me to please just go to the bathroom and check if I am so sure and I said alright! I will prove you wrong!

—the younger man’s words were met with a small smile tugging on the corner of his lips, the mere nodding of the head, a sincere, though fleeting “thank you,” in response. and he appreciated the reassurance; Mathias certainly didn’t have to say that, not when he knew him better than anyone else did, what he had done, things he was capable of —this part of them that was kept in the dark, away from prying eyes. perhaps it was what he needed to believe too that he wouldn’t fuck this up; he would make a good father to those kids.
despite the closeness they share, both men had also seen enough in the kind of life they have chosen to know better than to openly share anything that could potentially be used against them, in whatever way, in the future. one could never truly be too careful with who they trust, or what they share. Alexander, for one, had never fully trusted anyone, and the closest he had gotten to someone would indeed be Mathias —and Axel, too. he had nothing to gain if he turned on either hitman; and aside from admiring their skill, respecting their work, he had also grown to sincerely care for them through the years. there was a mutual understanding between him and Mathias; both wanted to share parts about their lives, yet also kept part of the information shared in the dark, never to give the full picture. and he appreciated that Mathias, too wouldn’t press for more, or clearer answers.
“of course,” any time, went unsaid. he laughed a little at the following question, arching an eyebrow lightly. “it was awfully quiet without you around, somewhere,” he teased, “so…yes? I guess…” in fairness, he had missed his wit and smart-ass remarks. “I kinda missed working, too,” he had been doing nearly nothing for the past couple of years, it had been boring, to say the least. “do you still work after what happened?”
“what have you been keeping busy with?” he inquired after a moment, curious, but didn’t need an elaborated response if he wasn’t willing to give one.
"Right" They were smart, the both of them. Two dangerous men who kept their greatest weaknesses in the shadows. Mathias couldn't go around telling people how happy he had been with Jude. He didn't have anyone he could ask for advice on things. It was just too dangerous. It felt almost cruel to keep a loved on int he dark like that. But the alternative would be even worse. He wouldn't forgive himself if something happened to the priest and Mathias was the reason for it.
He shrugged, "I don't think you will. I think you'll make a great father to those kids.". Now Mathias was certain his opinion on the matter probably didn't matter. He felt it was the right thing to say. His experience with fathers was between his biological one, that he killed, and Lee who was different.
"Do what you must". He didn't blame Alex for not wanting to tell who the mother was. It was a dangerous bit of information to share. but just like how Alex didn't question who Mathias' friend was, Mathias didn't push it.
Mathias nodded his head, "Of course. I'm sure they'll enjoy your company. If I ever have to leave town for a bit, I'll give you a call". He gave a big smile to Alex. "So other than that, how have you been? Did you miss me?"

hello! i'm not too sure how many characters i requested for characters with a kamisato ayaka!s/o, but i would like to just change the amount of characters since i specifically would like to see these characters to have headcanons with her and how they react as they watch her do her dance she performed for the traveler: riddle, leona, vil, malleus and lilia! i just wanted to see some wholesome things because your twst characters with genshin-like characters makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside www
take your time writing them, have a good day!
also did you pull for ayato 👀
thank you for the compliment really i am glad it makes u happy >< and yes i did pull for ayato and got his c1 after 30 pulls in ahihi ❤️ this is the vid for ayaka's dance for those who doesn't know or haven't reach to inazuma yet
riddle, leona, vil, malleus and lilia with a kamisato ayaka like fem!reader!
dignified and elegant, wise and determined. sincere and pleasant to others. universally loved by her people, she has earned the title of shirasagi himegimi.
: ̗̀➛ riddle rosehearts
"oh greetings, i am (name) of the kamisato clan. can you kindly tell me what is this place?"
oh god, riddle never met someone as graceful as you in his life. sure his mother is strict but graceful but she didn't even reach a half of your gracefulness 🥰
his heart would waver whenever you offer to help him out if he had this troubled look on his face and this man didn't have the heart to turn you away resulting to him telling you about his worries
and you didn't seem to mind at all!
he really appreciate on how you would give him advise and at the same time you are also trying to be friends with him 🎉 despite what happened during the events before the first overblot
and when the two of you got closer, he could read you like an open book but in a good way. it helps riddle to know whether you need something or you just want to hang out
"(name)? i saw your text and came over. is there something wrong?"
"oh hi riddle! nothing, i just received some cooking materials from mister crowley and mister crewel, so i thought why don't we make some pizza together?"
he is blinded by your innocence and purity honestly
riddle invited you for a cup of tea - just the two of you and that is when you knew finally got the courage to show your best friend your dance
"hey riddle, here is something i want to show you. please don't laugh okay?"
"oh, okay feel free but why would i laugh?"
the dorm leader eyes slightly widen as you hum, bringing out your (color) fan and started dancing. if he were to describe your dance it would be magical and elegant.
his face would show amazement and excitement as you used your blooming ice causing small cryo snowflakes to rain down on the two of you.
"well? did i do good?"
"good? no, you absolutely did great!"
he is now your number one fan and best friend next to grim and would absolutely give you compliments whenever you show him another dance that you learned from your sister back in your world.
: ̗̀➛ leona kingscholar
to be honest, leona would be cool with you.
when you and your friends confronted them about the magift, this lion told the other savanaclaw to not bring you any harm not a single strand of your hair or there will be consequences
but after seeing you beat a group of second year students fighting grim - leona was taken aback with your sword skills, he did not expect that!
so whenever you train with your sword, leona would miraculous by where you are training leading to him pointing out the flaws in your attacks.
"hey herbivore, you are leaving yourself wide open at the back."
"oh i didn't notice that at all, thank you leona."
during your training, the two of you would often share stories with each other - mostly you because leona prefers to listen more than to talk
learning about your family and tradition perks leona's interest. he couldn't imagine the pressure that was passed on to you and your siblings when both of your parents passed away.
while you are talking about your parents, he could feel your down mood so he will sneakily pat your head with his tail and let out a grunt to let you know he is still listening
"you are a pretty listener leona."
"i probably prefer to listen more than to talk because it's troublesome."
"haha true you hate troublesome things."
after a long time of knowing each other, you decided to show leona the dance that you've learned from your sister while he was skipping class.
"leona, leona look! i have something to show you."
"ugh, what is it herbivore? i am trying to sleep."
"it will just take a while, i really want to show you this."
and his sleepiness went away when he saw you do your dance. the lion was amazed with your concentration and the sophisticated way you present? no wonder you've capture the attention of many in this school
"how did i do?"
"not bad herbivore, it was great."
leona let out a small smile and pat your head gently as the cryo particles slowly rain down on the two of you
you may not have your older siblings here in this unknown world but leona would make it his mission to make sure you are not hurt in anyway as your older brother here
: ̗̀➛ vil schoenheit
vil would totally like to be friends with you
the way you just present yourself with elegance and poise just really made the leader think "she's the epitome of elegance, i think she could help epel"
and news flash, you did became a good friend not only to epel but also to rook and vil! whenever epel is out doing his schoolworks, you would keep vil in company by sharing about your culture back in your nation
"so wearing kimono is part of your culture?"
"yes, and we also have several symbolism for most predominant inhabitants in our country. would you like to hear more?"
"i would very much want to hear more about your country's culture and tradition."
the longer the two of you talk, the more he discover about you and your problems of being the shirasagi himegimi
feeling afraid of not meeting the expectations of the people who are expecting too much, he knows that too well.
"it's just hard sometimes when you are seen by everyone as the perfect role model, it's scary when you make just one mistake and you might lost it all."
and whenever you are having a stressful day, your best friend will come to your rescue - taking you out for spa dates and shopping the best happy pill ever
you were debating when you will show your dance to vil until one day you got the chance to and that is when he was having a hard time to think of an inspiration for his look in the upcoming catwalk
"how would i match it with my outfit..."
"maybe i can help? i want to show you something."
"what is that potato?"
trust me when i say vil is very stunned - he could feel different kind of inspiration flooding his mind. inspired by the breathtaking small pieces of cryo floating around the two of you, your calm and poised facial expression as you continue on performing your dance
"potato, that was amazing. thank you you gave me so much inspiration right now."
he could've never been proud to be your friend during this moment and vil would be proud to say that he is your friend anytime
: ̗̀➛ malleus draconia
ngl the moment the two of you first meet each other - you would just stare at each other for minutes
malleus never met someone like you, having very calming and sincere aura around as if you were untouched by the darkness while you are very interested in malleus because of his pointed ears and horns
"pardon me if i will sound rude, but your ears and horns looks so magical."
"oh why thank you child of man. you are the only one who told me that."
"am i? well maybe they are just shy?"
i would have the feeling that the two of you would go along - belonging to well-known family and how people would treat the two of you? he never feel so connected with someone before!
this dragon fae would be very interested listening to your stories about your friend traveler helping in saving your nation and archon.
"thanks to traveller, no more people will be afraid of having their visions and no more fighting."
"they are very strong indeed, i hope that they do find their twin soon."
being so open with your horned bestie, you always share anything you know about each other but you haven't told him one thing and that is about the dance you learned in the past
feeling that you already trust malleus enough, you decided to show him one day.
"hey mal, i have something to show you."
"what is it beastie?"
"it's just a secret between us okay?"
malleus have seen different kind of dances but not as magical as yours - your blooming ice making your dance more eye catching than ever, highlighting your refine moves as you dance along the song that you are humming
as the dance end, he couldn't help but to clap continuously. you could see in his face of being thrilled by your performance. the fae extended his hand - making a (color) rose appear as he slightly bow down and presented the rose in front of you.
"that was a very wonderful performance beastie, here is a rose as a gratitude for showing me something so beautiful. thank you for sharing this secret with me."
: ̗̀➛ lilia vanrouge
oh lilia, he would probably the one who will assist you whenever you are lost about something in twisted wonderland
wondering about the history of nrc? this fae got you. curious about the great seven history? no problem!
it's like he sees you as his daughter bc all of his adoptive children are sons so he is grateful that you came and now he can dote on you
"(name) my daughter~ you are here!"
oh hi lilia. it's nice to see you so energetic in the morning."
"so are we going to ignore the fact he called my henchman his daughter?"
i am 100% percent sure he will become you parent and brother figure making you sometimes feel sad because even though you really like it here, missing your friends and family back home is inevitable
and lilia would always comfort you by saying he will do anything for you to see them again
"what if i don't see them anymore?"
"don't be silly little bat, i will look for a way you can go back to your own world and a way for you to visit here sometimes."
"thank you lilia..."
even though you consider the two of you as very close friends and developed a familial bond already, lilia could sense you want to show him something but your nervousness would always win and he just let it be - not wanting to push you if you don't want to tell
until finally you showed him, during your walk in the garden.
"lilia, i have something to show you."
"go on, your father is watching."
"please don't laugh at me."
as you start to dance, this fae could already feel the tears swelling up in his eyes, like a proud parent watching his child performing the most beautiful dance and summoning your blooming ice making small snowflakes to appear everywhere.
"bravo my little bat! your dance is very eye catching and beautiful! words are not enough to describe how elegant it is!"
lilia would absolutely shower you with compliments and give you a big hug, repeating over and over again that you were the best and as your father he is very very very proud of you.
