Writing Challenge Entries from an old blog

I've been snooping around my old URLs and found TONS of old writing challenge entries that I wanted to bring back to life. R: Remember; What is their favourite moment in your relationship?

He has to choose only one? Well, that's not fair when so much of his time with you is his favourite, and with his memory everything is so clear and right there for him to relive whenever he wants to. If pressed, really pressed, he would have to say that his favourite would be a quiet evening the two of you spent together, sitting on a blanket under the stars. The world seemed to fade away as you talked about everything and nothing, your laughter mingling with the gentle night breeze. In that moment, he'd felt an overwhelming sense of peace and belonging, realizing that he had found someone who truly understood him. Your connection felt like the most beautiful constellation in the vastness of the universe, and he'd treasure that memory forever.

B: Best Friend; What would they be like as a bff? How would the friendship start?

As a best friend, Spencer is incredibly loyal, supportive, and intellectually stimulating. He'd be the one you could always count on to listen attentively to your thoughts and concerns, offering insightful perspectives and advice. And the vinyl collection sounds interesting I would love to have him playing music to tune the others out when he needs a little quiet or to recover from missing days.

O: Open; When would they start to reveal things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait to reveal things slowly?

Steven is known for being someone who has a random stream of consciousness falling from his lips at almost any given opportunity. It's endearing really, the speed at which he will share his knowledge, his thoughts and opinions with you, but just because he says a LOT that doesn't mean he is sharing intimate details. I mean, come on, the poor boy has a hell of a story to tell and that would make most people run for the hills, right? He has finally found someone he can call a friend, so it would take him a while to really open up for fear of losing you.

R: Remember; What is their favourite moment in your relationship?

There are a few moments he could choose, but his absolute favourite would be the moment he realised he was in love with you. It was a Sunday and the soft early morning sunlight peeked in through a gap in the blinds, falling over your face. He can still remember the crispness of the clean sheets as he propped himself up on his elbow and just watched you sleeping. You looked so peaceful, your lips parted slightly, a soft snore falling from you that made his smile widen into a grin. You’d spent the night together a handful of times now, but this time it felt… different. Steve wanted to always have this, to always wake up next to you, to spend forever with you. His heart swelled as he realised what that meant, what he truly felt. Steve Grant was completely in love with you and though you had no idea, you had rolled onto your side and snuggled against his chest as if you just knew.

Steven is an avid collector of vintage vinyl records. He spends his downtime scouring flea markets and obscure record shops for hidden gems from all era's and genres. Steven finds solace in the soothing crackle of vinyl and the timeless melodies of classic rock and jazz. He believes that music has a healing power that helps him maintain balance amidst the chaos of his vigilante life. Plus, he's convinced that the vibrations of the music resonate with the ancient Egyptian deity Khonshu, keeping the bird quiet for a little while.

this is perfect, love that he couldn't stop thinking of how he acted and how the argument started. And how casually they both reacted to him being there.

I would now spent the next few days thinking about that and imagining the argument they gphad and the continuations of this as to how they will talk things through because I love angst with happy endings

This was not the way it was supposed to be. He was a man of logic, analytical to a fault, not swayed by emotions... so why could he not push aside this ache inside him?

Things between the two of you had gotten too familiar, become too loud and he had said things he had instantly regretted, not that his pride would let him admit it. There hadn't been a goodbye, no opportunity for him to apologise when cooler heads prevailed, you had simply exited from his life. It had returned to what it was before you, before these feelings and chaos. Only now it felt... empty.

His days were punctuated by your silence, his gut twisting as his mind chose to play his mistakes over and over in HD at the most inopportune moment. Mycroft found himself holding conversations with you in his head, anticipating your replies, although he knew you would always surprise him. Apologies, explanations, trapped forever in his head, clamouring for his attention, fighting against his pride.

Just over a week later, his heart had directed him to precisely where he needed to be. Standing by his car, he fidgeted nervously with his umbrella as he waited outside you place of employment. The words he had never meant to leave unsaid ran in a loop around his head, making his anxiety spike.

He was just contemplating how foolish this was, how you would react badly to this gesture, when he heard your voice calling his name. He looked up at you, his heart racing and a warmth building in his chest. Pulling on his usual mask of pomposity, he greeted you, opening the car door for you to climb inside. The words remained unsaid for now, but Mycroft was certainly aware that your absence from his life was intolerable.
