Happy 5th Anniversary, The Owl House!
Today is the 5th anniversary of
Tumblr media
Disney's The Owl House!
Tumblr media
It has now been half a decade that we have seen fantasy and magic lover
Tumblr media
Luz Noceda came to the Boiling Isles and made her adventures learning about magic there. That's when she became friends with
Tumblr media
Eda the Owl Lady, and
Tumblr media
the King of Demons aka King Clawthorne, son of a Titan, becoming a trio of weirdos who stick together with
Tumblr media
Hooty, the Owl House itself.
Later on, Luz became a student at Hexside, and became friends with
Tumblr media
Willow Park the plant witch,
Tumblr media
Augustus Porter aka Gus, the president of the Human Appreciation Society
Tumblr media
and Amity Blight, her girlfriend (which I believe looks great with Luz) while dealing with Emperor Belos aka Phillip Witterbane and his "nephew", Hunter aka The Golden Guard, his other half as the Day of Unity was coming.
Tumblr media
Other time, Luz and Eda learned that Eda's sister, Lilith Clawthorne had cursed Eda into becoming the Owl Lady beast when they were going to be in the Emperor's Coven together. When Lily learned Belos had no intention of healing Eda of her curse, that's when she switched sides and shared the curse with her sibling.
Tumblr media
Also, Hunter had a change of heart as well in Season 2.
Tumblr media
Belos was going to release the Collector, but he didn't, until King Clawthorne released him and chaos ensued sending Luz and company back to the human realm, but they were able to get back and stop Phillip once and for all. Still, the last episode in the three-part finale rocked! Don't you agree?
So, for this today, i will be roleplaying as the main cast of The Owl House; Luz Noceda, Edalyn Clawthorne, King Clawthorne aka the King of Demons, Willow Park, Gus Porter, and Amity Blight.

posting snippet of a short lunter scene from my old notes because *shrug* I dunno I guess it's for the 2 remaining shippers who exist lol
'Magic 8 Ball'
She returned to sifting through Eda's trash collection, intent on finding something at least slightly interesting. She knew exactly what to pick when she overturned some musty pillows and found a pile of old toys beneath.
Grabbing the plastic ball with a grin, she turned and eagerly presented it to Hunter.
He took it from her and gazed at it curiously. The plastic ball was black with a white circle on top, and had the number '8' printed inside the circle. As Hunter turned it in his hands, he found there was a little screen on the underside of the ball. A blue triangle appeared inside the little screen, with words printed on it. Hunter squinted at it, looking terribly confused.
"What . . ."
He continued to examine the toy, turning it about, and then giving it a little shake, noticing the little gurgling noise it made. Luz watched as he continued to study it but ultimately surrendered, saying,
"All right, I give up. What is it?"
She took the toy from him and held it almost reverently, smiling.
"This," she said,
"Is a magic 8-ball! We are incredibly lucky to have come across such a rare and powerful artifact. This is one of the very few examples of a true magical talisman from the Human Realm."
Hunter narrowed his eyes, protesting,
"But there isn't any magic in the Human Realm!"
Luz pointed at him and said,
"Incorrect. To be more precise, there's almost no magic, but there is a little bit. Remember, things from the Human Realm occasionally leak into this realm; the reverse is also true. Remember what I told you about Vee? She found some old Hexes Hold'em cards to eat in the Human Realm. It happens sometimes!"
Hunter frowned. He relented,
"All right, that's a fair point, I guess. But what exactly is this eight ball, then?"
She held the toy aloft, saying dramatically;
"This is capable of telling you anything about the future! The only catch is you need to ask it a yes or no question. Once you ask your question you just shake the ball and it will answer yes or no."
Hunter sputtered,
"Wh-what?! That . . . that's impossible! Oracle magic doesn't work like that!"
Luz raised a brow and asked,
"Why?"
He crossed his arms.
"B-because! It can't be that simple. People train for years to be able to even catch a glimpse of a possible future. If what you're telling me is true, this thing is more powerful than all the most experienced oracle witches on the Boiling Isles combined."
"So you don't believe me."
He hesitated a moment, but then answered,
"No. It . . . it doesn't make any sense."
Grinning, Luz asked,
"How 'bout we test it then? Will that convince you?"
He still looked very wary but asked,
"How would we test it?"
Luz grabbed a junky old chair from the trash heap and upturned it so she could sit down.
"Simple. I ask it questions about something we already know to be true. If it gets them right, then it works."
Hunter made an unhappy mumble at her proposition, as if that wasn't a very convincing argument, but Luz was intent on continuing on as quickly as possible, so she could give him as little a chance as possible to actually stop and think about things.
"Okay! Question one! Is the name of our house demon Hooty?"
She shook the toy and turned it over, waiting for the little blue triangle to float to the top and reveal its answer.
"A-ha! See? It says 'Yes definitely!'"
Hunter rolled his eyes.
"That could just be random chance."
"Well, that's why we're asking more than once. Question two. Did Luz Noceda go through a portal and end up in the Demon Realm?"
She swished the ball about, knowing her bluff could be shot at any moment, but going for it anyway.
"It says 'yes.' Okay, question three . . . did we have griffin eggs for breakfast this morning?"
"Ugh, Luz . . ."
She turned it over and showed it to Hunter again.
"'It is decidedly so.' All right, is King the ruler of demons?"
She gave it a good shake and turned it over again, reading the answer out loud.
"'Very doubtful."
Hunter's brows inched up just a little bit, and his skeptical expression started to soften just a tad.
"Hmmph . . . you still could just be getting lucky. Or influencing its answers somehow."
Luz thought a moment and then said,
"All right, I'll ask it something only you'd know the answer to. Hmmm . . ."
She glanced at him with a silly grin and asked,
"Does Hunter think Luz is super smart and cool and funny and awesome and also really pretty?"
Hunter jerked in surprise, protesting,
"HEY!"
He reached for her as if he was going to snatch the ball away, but Luz's reflexes were quick and she bounded off the chair and darted away, laughing.
"What's wrong, I thought you wanted me to test it?"
He gave her an annoyed glare, but didn't say anything more, instead watching in suspense as she shook the ball and then turned it over.
When the little triangle drifted to the surface and gave its answer, Luz looked up to Hunter, shooting him an incredibly smug grin. She sing-songed,
"Signs point to yes~"
Hunter heaved an annoyed sigh and crossed his arms again, scowling. He grumbled something, but Luz didn't quite catch it.
"What?"
He repeated in only a slightly louder mumble,
"I said fine, maybe it actually works."
Luz was about to answer, but then she froze when she finally processed his words.
She blinked.
". . . uh."

Profiles in Villainy Redemption
Hunter
Formerly known as The Golden Guard, Hunter had acted as the first lieutenant to the villainous Emperor Belos.  As head of the Emperor's Coven, Hunter was the chief enforcer mandating the proper use of magic and hunting down so-called ‘wild witches’ who had defied the Emperor’s rule.  Hunter believed himself to be Belos’ nephew yet it was later revealed that he is actually a witch-breed grimwalker, artificially designed to resemble Belos’ lost brother, Caleb.
Hunter was tasked by Belos to find him Palismans (sentient magical totems). He tried to abduct a group of such Palismans but was thwarted in the effort by the young witch-in-training, Luz Noceda. During this affair, the Palisman known as Flapjack bonded with Hunter and chose him as its owner.
Owning a Palisman caused Hunter to broaden his perspective on wild magic. He and Flapjack came to discover Hunter’s true origins as well as Emperor Belos’ nefarious plans to destroy the Boiling Isles.
These revelations led Hunter to turn away from Belos and he ended up aiding Luz and the other Witches of The Owl House in ultimately defeating Belos.  Flapjack was sadly destroyed in the ordeal and Hunter was bereft over the loss.  Following the conflict and restoration of peace to the Boiling Isles, Hunter dedicated himself to becoming a carver of new Palismans.
Actor Zeno Robinson voices the character of Hunter, who first appeared in the eighteenth episode of the first season of The Owl House, airing on August 22nd, 2020.

Characters in Showdown: Electric Boogaloo (2) Currently
Notes:
1.) This list is subject to change; characters will be added, some could get removed (very unlikely). Not all characters that have been submitted have even been reviewed yet. Characters are under the cut.
2.) The groupings are to make it a bit easier to find characters, they are broken up like this bc that’s how I did it last time.
3.) The form is still open, if you want to submit more propaganda for a character on here go ahead.
4.) Rejected characters are in a separate post here, along with characters that we are on the fence about. If you submitted someone and they aren’t here or on the rejected characters list feel free to ask about them, but just know it’s probably only because we haven’t gotten around to checking them yet.
5.) If there is a character you think doesn’t qualify you can ask us and we can tell you why they have been added. Just because a character can be deemed problematic isn’t grounds for removal.

What’s TOH about? Would you recommend it?
So its about a human (Luz Noceda) entering a fantasy world of witches. She meets Eda the Owl Lady (who basically becomes her mom) and wants to train under her to become a witch!
Amity (my favorite) is first an antagonist but then starts to become a protagonist later in the season.
But yeah, i 100% recommend it! Its a really good show and has lots of good LGBTQ representation in it.

It’s 3AM where I live at the time I’m writing this, and I am once again thinking way too much about the Hexsquad. Don’t know where I got the idea to begin with, but I was thinking about all the games we see on Luz’s laptop and then started wondering what it would be like if she introduced the rest of the Hexsquad to the world of human games, and what games they’d all enjoy.
I’ve not really seen this discussed anywhere, but these are just ideas I’m having in the moment of my sleep deprivation that I wanna share and yap about in my usual rambling fashion. I’d love to hear peoples thoughts and head-canons if they have any for this idea too too!
Amity:
I personally don’t think Amity would be that into gaming, at least not compared to the others. But if she were to have games she enjoyed, I can see her liking visual novels first and foremost as there’s something fun about throwing yourself into the story and having a choice in the direction things go/how you interact with the characters that she found so appealing; this idea kinda comes from the episode where we found out Amity had a secret collection of Good Witch Azura books and how she drew fan-art of herself with one of the characters.
I can also see Amity enjoying a rhythm game once in a while as they’re easy to pick up and put back down without having to worry about remembering a story; it isn’t too hard to learn them in the begining but the want to get good at them can become addicting. I feel like she’d love the casual competition in them and that she’d work hard to get the highest score she could so she can place in the leaderboards. Her enjoyment of rhythm games would soon lead her to get heavily into DDR and she’d enjoy going to play it at the arcades with Luz on their dates, I think she’d pick up on it astonishingly fast.
Gus:
Sandboxes all the way! I can’t explain why this is my first thought for the life of me, but I can see Gus really enjoying The Sims and Minecraft particularly in the sandbox genre. I especially love the idea that he’d play MC on splitscreen mode with his friends if there was a console in the Noceda house. I think Gus would also really enjoy RPG’s too, especially if he found one or two of Luz’s old JRPG games lying around. I feel like he’d love the flashiness of the fights and ‘all of the amazing stories humans come up with’.
If he got into Sims, I feel like he’d create a household based on him and all his friends living together in a giant house, maybe he’d even make a household based on the crew in Cosmic Frontier. I like to think he’d excitedly drag the rest of the Hexsquad to come see the things he’s made/done in the game too.
At some point he’d wonder if it’d be possible to make a ‘real life sims’ with illusions, though he’d hesitate to try it out as he was worried something would go wrong (as it seems illusions sometimes do the opposite of what you want, as seen with his illusion clone in one of the episodes, I don’t remember which one rn lol).
Willow:
I don’t know what this genre would be considered, and I feel like this is totally obvious, but if she were to get into games I can see Willow absolutely loving the games that require a lot of player-movement, think things like Just Dance, Wii Fit Ring, Beatsaber, etc etc. Anything to get the blood pumping. She’d find it fun how she could get her friends to join her on the multiplayer ones and enjoy the playful competition of it all.
In her down time/when she needs to cool down from some intense training/exercise if she wanted to play games she’d probably enjoy a good cozy game such as a gardening simulator. For her, while it wouldn’t be the same as taking care of real plants, it’d be nice to have her own little digital garden she can look at and make as big as she wants (especially while they’re stuck in the human realm, I can’t remember if this is canon or fanon but I feel like she’d have a greenhouse back at home in the Demon Realm? And she’d miss it a lot; so it’d be nice to try and recreate it in a game.)
Last of all, Hunter!
I will admit, some of my ideas for Hunter in this is partially me projecting some of my fave genres, but I can genuinely see Hunter being big on puzzle and strategy games! Basically anything that requires him to think and or learn tactics on how to best play the game. I feel like he’d enjoy a good mystery once in a while too.
I think Hunter would probably enjoy the idea of stealth games too, but he’d struggle playing them either because it reminds him of his time as Golden Guard too much, or he gets way too anxious trying to stay stealthy in them and it ruins all the fun for him. I can see him also maybe getting into rougelites/likes or dungeon crawlers because of Luz. They’re easier to get into than stealth games as they don’t cause him as much stress.
At some point he’d find a game he loves out of all the ones he tried and focuses on that one and that one only, he just completely obsesses over completing/getting good at it as he needed something to keep him occupied as having nothing to do makes him nervous. So much so he ends up 100%ing it in a shockingly short amount of time. Everyone is worried because his eye-bags are getting worse, but it’s thankfully not nightmares keeping him up this time like they probably assume. He just got way too into the game and would forget to sleep.

Luz Noceda - Capabilities (Character Profiles - Witches Duels Tournament) - Part 1
Tumblr media
This post will include more parts about how large it is because Oh My God, Luz knows a lot of spells alright.
Luz Noceda, the protagonist of our story, is one and only. Unlike other competitors, Luz is a rare example of a jack of all trades who does not specialize in one specific magical track and studies all of them. Normally, Luz specializes in glyphs but according to the lore of my own tournament which happens after the final battle with Belos, Luz no longer has access to glyphs. However, she now does have a magical staff that allows her to still be able to cast spells just fine as proven by Owlbert in Young Blood, Old Souls. Now, since my rules specify how at times you're not allowed to use palismen in the battle, Luz is capable of avoiding this rule thanks to String Bean's shape-shifting nature, as String Bean possibly could transform into an accessory that would allow Luz to cast a spell like everyone is none the wiser, or maybe even shape-shift into an instrument to mimic bard magic (even though Luz has no vibration based spells). Outside of that Luz would also have access to some other supporting artifacts.
Tumblr media
When it comes to Luz's fighting style, she in general prefers to outsmart and outpower her opponents with the raw strength of her magic. Luz has come far ever since she started to learn magic, currently with String Bean by her side she certainly is now more accustomed to spell-casting. Luz is quite proficient with magic now coming up with new creative ways to utilise her magic. She also now has more experience in combat meaning she's more willing to take down her opponents head-on. Luz can however be pretty reckless and impulsive when approaching her opponents, biting more than she can chew and sometimes jumping without thinking. Luz can however be quick on her feet and easily recover and come up with new ways to get an upper hand during battles.
Luz possesses now her own palisman as we all know it which happens to be none other than String Bean. String Bean showed that with her presence, Luz could be even stronger than she used to be, and Luz had plenty of experience with Owlbert beforehand to know how to use a witch's staff. Luz is a true aerial ace as Eda's Requiem episode proves as she could've won the race if it wasn't for King. She of course also knows how to correctly cast spells with staff alone and can use it in combat. String Bean also has a unique ability of shape-shifting, which allows her to take on features of other creatures and use them to her advantage. Granted she can't change size with the ability so all animals will be miniature, but it can come in handy nonetheless, and she could possibly change String Bean into other objects (like jewelry or instruments) in case she can't use witch's staff.
Tumblr media
Luz shall be allowed a multitude of tools to help her out during battles. One of them happens to be a crystal ball from her oracle class. Luz can use it to conjure up a single ghost that can be used to help Luz aid in the battle and also predict Luz's future. The ghost is usually chill but rather helpful. It's intangible meaning it's immune to physical attacks for the most part (but can be dispelled with special attacks) and can phase through solid objects to get to its opponents and be capable of touching them to inflict harm.
Tumblr media
Another tool Luz would be allowed to use is tea leaves from oracle class which would also help her learn about her opponents, what they're capable of, and what they're going to do.
Tumblr media
Luz is also equipped with a training wand in case she needs another source of magic to cast spells from. It's like a hidden dagger if someone would take her sword (as in her staff, I'm clearly alluding to Sasha Waybright example) away.
Tumblr media
Another tool Luz is free to use is her iconic bat which Luz can use for offensive purposes. Luz is allowed to have and use other weapons like a mace and a sword to aid her in the time of her need.
Tumblr media
And of course, how could I not forget that Luz also has fireworks to help her in a fight to add more to her firepower.
Tumblr media
While Luz doesn't have beast-keeping magic at all, she does seem to have an affinity to be able to tame most of the wild beasts as presented throughout the entire show with her knowledge and attitude. This means Luz is not really affected much by beast-keepers sending animals in her direction unless they're directly under the command of their masters (as in like pets. Sometimes some beasts are untamed and would not follow even the beast-keeper).
Tumblr media
Luz also has brought snakes to her battle as she managed to tame them just enough so they would not attack her but certainly would attack her opponents. They're not venomous though considering now pressed any charges when Luz brought them to school. She will bring a few of them.
Tumblr media
Another animal that Luz would bring with her to the battlefield are spiders. They're mostly used to just scare people during the fight by pouring them all over her opponents. Can be used as a great distraction. She has quite big number of them and she can even naturally attract them as seen in TtT. The spiders are also not harmful and Luz is not phased by them either.
Tumblr media
Smoke Potion - Another tool Luz would be granted to use is a smoke potion she could brew as seen in the First Day. Luz could potentially utilize it as a smokescreen or suffocation attempt.
Tumblr media
Light Orb - Luz's first real spell and the first spell I'm talking about here so far (after all I had to ensure Luz has plenty of tricks to defend herself now that she no longer has endless amounts of glyphs to help her out and relies on her staff to use magic). Luz is capable of creating light orbs of various sizes. They can be very little or insanely large. They can be used to illuminate the darkness or blind opponents.
Tumblr media
Light Bomb - mostly demonstrated when Luz still wielded glyphs, but I'm sure Luz can make it work with String Bean. Luz is capable of creating a light orb that explodes into a giant burst of light that can be used to blind her opponents distracting them. It's not very harmful but it can certainly be painful. The light orb can also generate heat that can melt ice over time. Luz can also use a light spell to cancel out psychological effects (like mind-control, beastly transformation, or even illusions of great merit) as she performed when facing the Owl Beast.
Tumblr media
Ultimate Illumination - unlike the light orb as mentioned above, this spell focuses more on generating large amounts of light. Be it beams and rays even. They're not harmful but they're blinding and this can be quite painful.
Tumblr media
Multiple Light Orbs - as demonstrated in the intro of the second season, Luz is capable of creating more light orbs at once.
Tumblr media
Hologram Projection - as demonstrated in Once Upon a Swap, Luz can create holograms using her light magic. The holograms don't seem to be a solid construct but could be used for potential distraction.
Tumblr media
Illusion Casting - while Luz was temporarily in Eda's body, she was capable of creating illusions. I'm keeping this ability of hers because Luz apparently could create giant beams of energy with String Bean, which is weird UNLESS it's Luz's "muscle memory" from that one time she swapped her body with Eda so to speak. Luz can create various distractions with this ability of hers. She can also create sparkles with this technique.
Tumblr media
Illusion creature creation and command - Luz demonstrated in Eda's body to be able to transform objects with illusion magic and command them to act for her. Mostly they're used for elaborate distractions though.
Tumblr media
Telekinesis - Luz displayed in Eda's body capacity for Telekinesis. I can see Luz perhaps also mastering this ability with String Bean, it would be used to move around little objects like projectiles or for simpler actions and she wouldn't be able to move people, multiple objects at once, or very large ones.
Tumblr media
Object Creation - Luz demonstrated the capacity to create objects when in Eda's body (it's wild that I'm acknowledging a Once Upon a Swap episode like that). The objects are rather simple though and at times random, but they can come in handy for Luz.
Tumblr media
Disintegration Spell - demonstrated in Eda's body, Luz can disintegrate objects as when Luz freed Owlbert. It could just be an extension of her telekinesis though.
Tumblr media
Invisibility - Luz is capable of turning herself invisible, though she can only remain invisible as long as she holds her breath. This ability helps best with camouflage.
Tumblr media
Partial Invisibility - Luz can make only a certain object or part of the body invisible with this spell. She demonstrated it in KT when she tricked Belos with the hidden coven-brand glove.
Tumblr media
Ice Platform - her first proper expression of ice magic. Luz is capable of creating an ice pillar of various lengths and sizes. Luz can use this spell for the defense to block attacks, to catapult either Luz or her opponents high into the air, or to help Luz gain high ground over her enemies.
Tumblr media
Ice Wall - an improved version of ice pillar where Luz creates a singular wall made out of ice to either catapult multiple opponents or to shield from attacks of her opponents.
Tumblr media
Ice Spike - an improved version of Ice Pillar. Luz is capable of creating a singular giant spike of ice that can be used to pierce through things.
Tumblr media
Ice Slide - Luz using her ice magic is capable of covering a good portion of the ground with smooth ice that she can use to either trip her opponents or to quickly slide through the battlefield as demonstrated for example in Oh Titan Where Art Though.
Tumblr media
Ice Bat - as demonstrated in Reaching Out, Luz is capable of creating an ice bat that she can use in combat. It is however not as durable as regular bat in comparison.
Tumblr media
Ice Construct - Luz is capable of creating simplistic constructs made out of ice, like how in Separate Tides she created a boat for herself. And judging by how she was teaching Lilith ice glyph combination, she probably can create even more refined constructs.
Tumblr media
Ok, that will be all for this specific page as I can't download more images. Here's part 2 and part 3.

Playtime at the Owlhouse -- Owlhouse x Poppy Playtime
The Playtime factory is located in Gravesfield. About 30 years ago, after the 'death' of Jack Ayers but before his parents visit him at the factory, a woman known as 'Marylin' (wink-wink-nudge-nudge) is somehow able to expose the horrible truth of the factory to the government before vanishing into the wind.
The government stepped in, and it was revealed to the public that the children at Playcare had been subjected to horrific illegal experimentation, although the details were kept vague. The higher ups were arrested and Poppy was given control of the company assets which she used to create a self-sufficient society where she and the other toys could live in peace and privacy, with a few outside specialist hires. While the vast majority of the experiments are accounted for, Sawyer, BB CatNap and the Prototype seem to have disappeared.
Part of Poppy's Safe-haven includes an on-site farm and ranch to provide fresh food, and Camilla Noceda is hired as an on-site vet tech, bringing along her young daughter Luz. Luz, of course, ends up befriending all the resident toys, who view her as a younger kid sister.
Like cannon, Luz finds her way through Eda's portal and is roped into her scheme, but with Poppy in tow, who recognises Eda as the toys' unlikely saviour. Unlike in cannon, Luz gains her mother's blessing to train under Eda as a witch, with various toys accompanying her on her adventures. Meanwhile, during excavations a 'lost toy' is found -- 'Daisy'. However, this actually a disguised Vee, having escaped from the Emperor's coven like in canon.
For example, Poppy helps Luz realize that Adegast is a fake and they proceed to troll him until Eda arrives. When she goes to eat him, Boxy beats her to the punch. Then, instead of Luz disguising herself as an abomination, she convinces Doey, but Bump's planned dissection triggers him, sending him on a rampage. The seed's vines can't restrain him, but Luz learns from Willow that the plant's flowers are incredibly stinky, giving Luz the idea to use the smell to shock Doey out of his rage, inspired by his earlier reaction to the smell of the trash slug.
During the body swap, Doey tries to intervene to stop the spell, leading to Eda, Luz and King ending up in Doey, with Jack, Matt and Kevin ending up as King, Eda and Luz respectively. Luz convinces the others to allow the Doey Boys to spend the day in separate bodies, which they appreciate. Kevin is able to terrorize Boscha and her gang with ease, showing that humans don't need magic or venom to be scary, Matt deals with the responsibility of running Eda's stand while avoiding the Emperor's Coven, and Jack gets to just be a kid again. Meanwhile Luz, Eda and King end up causing havoc trying to manage being Doey.
During their trips to the Demon Realm, some unusual observations are made. For example, Doey's body can be affected by abomination spells, Pianosuarus is able to use bard magic, some of the more animal-like toys can be affected by beast magic, etc. It is revealed that the poppies used in Playcare's experiments are of a rare variety found only in Gravesfield -- the Devil's Blood Poppy -- and oddly enough, a similar type of poppy is found across the boiling isles. Poppy commissions some genetic testing, revealing that the Devil's Blood Poppy is only distantly related to most earth poppies, but very closely related to the Boiling Isles variety.

Following up with my previous post, here's the full scene.
I'm a bit rusty in terms of writing but I hope it's still alright to read.
With that said, happy reading
:)
***
"So... do you have a crush, Noceda?"
Luz turned her head to look at the witch with her eyebrows raised, "what?!"
"A crush," Amity quipped, "you know, someone you-"
"I know what a crush is, thanks!"
"So- who is it?" the witch asked, a teasing gleam shimmering in her golden eyes, "anyone I know?"
Luz snorted, "wouldn't you like to know, Blight?"
"I'm just... curious."
"Why? What's it to you?"
Luz was kind of taken aback by the rather odd questions; until now Amity Blight has never shown any sort of honest interest in the human's life or anything regarding her really. So to have Amity be this nosy all of a sudden was a completely new experience, maybe even a bit suspicious.
"No particular reason," Amity responded, halting Luz's train of thoughts.
"Uh... okay?"
"Do you?"
Golden eyes stared intently into hazel ones.
For a brief moment Luz thought she could see something in those eyes; something she couldn't put her finger on but it was enough to make her avert her gaze.
The brunette sighed, staring up at the ceiling. She gulped, a familiar warmth rising in her abdomen, traveling up to her chest as her heart began to beat faster, accompanied by a fluttering sensation in the pit of her stomach.
"I... I do." A blush infiltrated her cheeks.
"Uh huh?"
Amity sounded... hopeful?
"But I'm not gonna tell you," Luz quickly added, a wide grin spread on her face.
'Nice safe.'
Unfortunately the Dominican-American got a bit too carried away by her supposed triumph over Amity, distracted enough to not notice the pillow being flung towards her, hitting her square in the face with a thud.
"Ow! What the fuck, Blight?!"
"Be glad I only threw it... suffocating you with it was actually my first impulse."
Luz grumbled as she pushed the pillow aside, shaking her head, "you and your-"
"I got a crush too, you know" Amity blurted out, the ivory skin around her cheeks tinted in a soft, rosy color.
Luz blinked, her heart skipped a beat. Was Amity trying to-
No.
No, it can't be.
Not her.
Not Amity Blight.
That just wasn't going to happen.
'Don't get your hopes up, Luz.'
Afraid of what the witch might be able to read from her reaction, Luz resorted to what she knew best, to what had been their dynamic for years.
Or call it lack of better judgment.
"You?!" she scoffed, "you of all people? Didn't know that heart of yours knew feelings."
As soon as the last words had left her lips, the brunette instantly regretted what she had said; it had come out a lot harsher than intended.
She watched Amity's frame stiffen as she wrapped her arms around herself. The witch's expression hardened, in her eyes a clear reflection of how those words hurt.
"Y-yeah," Amity voice cracked, fingers digging into her arms, "I know, right? How could I possibly have feelings for someone? I'm expected to be a cold-hearted bitch with no emotions, right?"
'LUZ! YOU FOOL!'
"A-Amity, I-"
"I know I always act like I don't care!" the lavender haired witch barked, blinking back tears, "but the truth is I'm scared and confused!"
Amity's hands fell onto her lap, fingers clenching around the hem of her skirt.
"Scared because I fell in love with someone despite pledging to myself to never let that happen again! To not be vulnerable anymore," Amity hiccuped, her grip tightened, "confused because that certain someone managed to sneak into my heart so... effortlessly!
All because I think it's adorable how she pulls her beanie into her face when she gets flustered, because I like the way she makes my knees go weak whenever she speaks Spanish and because I like how her laugh causes my heart and stomach to flutter!"
Luz froze.
She stared at Amity, wide eyed with her mouth agape.
She was used to outburts like these but they never had been so emotionally charged and... sincere.
Did she really just-?
Guilt began to creep up on the human, it paralyzed her. She hated making others cry. It was one of the reasons Luz felt so insecure about herself and why she thought all she was capable of is failing.
She messed up.
Again.
The word echoed in her mind, merging with Amity's sobs.
Luz acted on impulse.
Throwing caution to the wind, well aware she could risk a broken nose if she followed through with the thought roaring loudly in her head, she finally moved.
It was worth a try.
She owed it to her.
"Amity..."
The addressed woman's body tensed further as she felt a pair of arms wrap around her trembling frame, pulling her into a tight embrace.
"I'm terribly sorry, Amity," Luz murmured, her voice hushed but full of sincerity, "it wasn't fair of me to disregard you and your feelings like this and be a dick about it. I shouldn't have said that. I'm... so sorry."
Luz braced herself for a punch to the gut at the feeling of the lavender haired witch stirring; instead she found herself astonished as Amity sank into her body, her own arms wrapping around Luz's midriff, face buried into the human's shoulder.
With that, Amity crumbled. Her entire body shook as tears fell freely, hands clutching the back of Luz's army jacket, sobs and hiccups filled the room.
It was clear that Amity has had all these feelings bottled up inside her for quite some time, the added pressure of keeping up an image with a nonchalant demeanor must've been exhausting.
The brunette's heart squeezed painfully at the realization. She took a quivering breath, trying to swallow the lump in her throat.
Luz internally cursed herself; this was her fault. She was the one who had been insensitive about the whole thing to begin with.
She had to fix this.
She needed to.
She wanted to.
And Luz knew how. Or at least she hoped.
The dark haired woman shifted, placing her legs onto either side of Amity's thighs so she could pull her closer. Cautiously Luz moved one hand to the back of the witch's neck, drawing soothing circles into the ivory skin with her thumb, letting the other do the same on Amity's back.
To Luz's surprise it seemed to have immediate effect, the heavy shaking and erratic breathing calmed gradually.
"Y-you know... the one I fell for-" Luz gulped, "she uh... has this habit of twirling the hem or the sleeve of her shirt in between her fingers whenever she's nervous. I think that's adorable.
She's... super cute when she's deeply focused. She does this spinning trick with her pen... I still haven't figured out how she does it but... she looks so fucking cool doing it."
Luz could feel her cheeks begin to burn, by now her heart raced; it became harder and harder to remain calm and collected.
Somewhere in the back of her mind, she thought she heard Amity gasp.
"She uh- she's got such beautiful eyes, the most wonderful, magnificent golden eyes I've ever had the pleasure to gaze into and... lose myself within."
Silence emerged between the two of them, each passing second made Luz grow more anxious.
By now Amity's sobs had died down, replaced by soft snuffles.
The witch eventually moved and wiggled out of Luz's embrace, hands gliding along the smaller woman's back, sliding beneath the jacket to come to a rest at her hips.
The warmth of Amity's hands seeped through the fabric of Luz's t-shirt and caused her heart thump eagerly in her chest.
Slightly reddened eyes stared up into hazel ones, darting back and forth in between them.
Luz swallowed, bringing both her hands up to cup Amity's face, gently running her thumbs across the witch's cheekbones to wipe away her tears.
The digits lingered, shyly caressing the rosy cheeks as she gazed into Amity's eyes.
"I'm sorry, Amity," Luz stated, her voice at the verge of cracking, "I'm sorry I-"
"D-did- did you- did you mean all that?"
The witch's voice was small, almost nothing more but a mere whisper.
"I am sorry, yes. I really did mean-"
"N-no... what you... said about-"
A small but gentle smile found it's way onto Luz's lips, her response emphasized by a shy nod and a quiet, affirmative hum.
"Mhm."
It felt like time stood still as their eyes locked onto one another, Luz's hands still resting on the other woman's cheeks.
She noticed Amity's eyes briefly dip down, saw her swallow, heard the quivering breath the lavender haired witch released.
Something lingered in the air and it made the human's heart palpitate, making her head swim but strangely, it elated her.
Gathering all the courage she had, she took action.
She reached to tuck a strand of hair behind Amity's ear and slowly, she leaned in.
Their lips brushed against each other in a shy manner, nerves seemed to get the better of them. They were so close already, breaths mingling and quickening in anticipation.
"Luz..." Amity breathed and shifted, wrapping her arms around Luz's neck, which prompted the human's arms to drop, circling around Amity's waist.
The lavender haired witch pulled Luz in to close the gap and finally their lips melded together.
Tension released, causing both women to sigh into the kiss as their bodies relaxed.
Long lasting, suppressed affection bubbled to the surface, finally breaking free from imaginary shackles and allowed two hearts to soar.
Their lips separated, albeit briefly, eager to find each other once more.
And again.
And again.
One last, lingering kiss got shared before their lips parted with a soft sound, breathless but happy chuckles filled the room.
"I guess," Luz whispered, forehead resting against Amity's, "that answers your question?"
Amity laughed softly and gently caressed the back of Luz's neck, stealing yet another peck.
"It does."
A comfortable beat of silence passed in between them, enough time for their breathing to return to normal.
"You uh... wanna go for some coffee?" Luz asked, her usual shy demeanor making an appearance.
"Are you asking me out, Luz Noceda?"
"W-well, I-" she cleared her throat, hand subconciously reaching for her beanie to pull the accessory into her face, "y-yes?"
Amity chuckled and reached to push the fabric back up to meet her eyes, "I'd love to have a coffee with you."
The human beamed and excitedly jumped to her feet, slightly staggering from a head rush.
"Luz, are you okay?" Amity inquired, having noticed the wobble in the brunette's legs.
"Yeah, just got up too fast. It's fine," Luz responded with an embarrassed snicker, offering a hand to the lavender haired witch who gladly accepted.
Luz threaded their fingers together, holding Amity's hand tightly.
"Shall we?"
"One more thing..."
"What is-"
A loud thud broke the silence of the room as Luz's shoulder got aquainted to Amity's fist.
"OW!"
"That's for making me cry," Amity remarked and grinned widely, baring her fangs.
"Yeah... yeah, okay. I deserved that one," Luz hissed, rubbing the aching spot on her shoulder.
***
And that wraps up this one.
If you made it to here: Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read through all of that. I really appreciate it. Hope you'll be having a fantastic day! :)
And hey, I don't bite. If you wanna talk, shoot me a message :)

TOH Intro Part 3: Kate Noceda-Blight
Next up is Kate, my one-and-only Lumity kid!
Basic Info
Name: Manuela Hecate Noceda-Blight (Goes by Kate) Age: 15 years old (early Fall birthday) Pronouns: She/Her School: Hexside (9th Grade/Year Equivalent) Tracks: Potions, Beast Keeping, Plant Palisman: Zuza (American Opossum)
Biography
Manuela Hecate Noceda-Blight, or Kate as most of her friends call her, is the 15-year-old daughter of Luz Noceda and Amity Blight. She lives in Bonesborough with her mom and attends Hexside School of Magic and Demonics as a Multi-Track student enrolled in the Beast Keeping, Plant, and Potions Tracks.
Kate is a friendly, excitable girl with a deep passion for learning magic that she inherited from Luz. She doesn't let her combined heritage slow her down, making up for an underdeveloped Bile Sac with casting aids and her Palisman, an American opossum named Zuza. She’s energetic and sociable, and is pretty popular with most everyone, though she really couldn’t care less about that. She has her circle of close friends–Calym, Mycha, Fenyr, and Julia–and she’s got a nickname for each of them (except Mycha since they don't really like nicknames). It’s her way of expressing to them that they matter to her, and she enjoys trying to find ones that work.
Underneath all the high-energy positivity, Kate is a girl who doesn’t like being told who she is. As the daughter of two very prominent people, everyone in her life has expected her to follow one of her moms’ paths to the letter. When her parents enrolled her at Hexside, the school’s principal at the time tried to push her into either enrolling in Abomination alone or into enrolling in all of Hexside’s Tracks. She tried to do the latter like Luz did, but eventually pared her Track Load down to Beast Keeping, Potions, and Plants.
Her view on the law is a little closer to her grandma Eda’s, in that, so long as the act results in a net positive, it’s not really worth it to worry about legality if no one gets hurt. She’s smart enough to know how far is too far and usually has the self-control to rein herself in if she gets too close to that line. Her moms are simultaneously proud of and frustrated by this laissez-faire attitude towards rules and regulations, but most of the time, they know her heart's in the right place.
She joined Hexside’s Captown Relay Team when she was 13. The previous captain had just stepped down the semester prior, leaving an opening on the team. She had the 2nd fastest time at tryouts but beat out the fastest through flight control and adaptability. earning her a spot as the team's "final legger." She started pestering her best friend, Calym, about joining immediately after making it on the team (even though there were already three members: her, Mycha, and a Clearskull Demon named Yeik Athet Entophos), going so far as to train him in the weeks leading up to the next year's tryouts.
Kate has a deep love for all things fantasy imparted on her by both of her moms. She grew up on the The Good Witch Azura books and movies and has kept up with the revival books. Unlike her moms, she really enjoys the direction the new writer is taking the series. She also writes fanfiction with Calym, interspersing her gripping political conflict and emotional angst throughout his low-stakes fluff.
Kate inherited Luz’s teenage build: slim and slender with a build geared towards speed and agility rather than physical strength. She's a bit taller than average for her age. It's not so much that it's really noticeable yet, but she's been told by her doctor that she's not anywhere near done growing. She definitely got a decent amount of her genetic makeup from the paternal side of Amity’s family. Her skin tone is a tiny bit lighter than Luz’s, and she has the same hazel brown eye color. She got Amity’s ear, eye, and general facial shape, though, as well as her straight, brunette hair.
Kate is most skilled at Potions and Glyphs, having learned the former from her Great Aunt Eda and the latter from her mamá Luz. She’s not the best artist, so to make up for that, she and Luz put together a set of stencils that she can use to make Glyphs and Glyph Combos. For both of these fields of magic, she doesn’t need to use her Bile Sac, which is a good thing since it tires out quickly and starts to hurt if she uses it for too long.
For other types of magic, like Beast Keeping and Plant, she uses a set of Casting Aids, devices built off of the training wands used by younger witches. The idea behind the wand has been adapted into a pair of brass hand braces that attach at the tips of her thumb, index finger, and pinkie, and her wrists. They act as backup Bile Sacs, with their own store of Spell Phlegms that supplement Kate's. They recharge slowly using the environmental magic found in the air on the Boiling Isles, but that process can be expedited by draining magic from magical objects, like the Hexes Hold 'em cards that Kate’s aunt Vee uses to keep up her own supply of magic. The devices were designed by her mom and her aunt Emira, and they were introduced into Blight Innovations' disability aid product line.
Kate can still cast decently enough without the Casting Aids and Zuza, but she can't go for very long on her own thanks to an underdeveloped bile sac. She only has a few minutes' worth of fuel in her tank before it starts to really hurt, and she learned early on that pushing herself too far past that point can make her pass out. That being said, she's been able to go for longer and longer recently, having recently broken 10 minutes on her own. She's in Casting Therapy to help her keep improving her stamina in a monitored environment, having been enrolled by her moms after the fifth time they caught her trying to push her limits on her own.
Tumblr media
Palisman: Zuza
Zuza is an American opossum that Kate carved herself with minimal guidance from Mycha's dad. Zuza has grayish-green fur with a white face and a teal green streak going down her back. She has beady black eyes and black ears with white splotches on the tips. Her tail is shorter than a real opossum's because of a hand slip Kate had when she was carving. The name Zuza comes from what Kate called the Azura franchise in her early childhood.
Zuza is goofy, energetic, and equally as excitable as her owner, with a little bit of a mischievous streak that she got from spending too much time with Stringbean. She gets along great with just about anyone, but sometimes she can be a bit of a handful when left unmonitored. If she starts to get bored, she'll find some way to shake things up or create some sort of excitement.
Previous Part: Calym Burnnenburg
Next Part: Stella Blight

Here's a headcanon generated for your character Luz Noceda in the Trollhunters AU:
Headcanon: Luz's Secret Tactics
While training as the first human Trollhunter, Luz discovers that her ADHD, which sometimes made school a challenge, is actually a unique strength in her new role. Her ability to hyper-focus allows her to quickly understand the intricacies of troll magic and combat. She develops a set of unorthodox but highly effective strategies that baffle her enemies and allies alike.
Luz also starts incorporating elements from her favorite book, "The Good Witch Azura," into her tactics. She creates a 'spellbook' of sorts, filled with coded notes and drawings that only she can understand. It becomes her secret weapon, filled with plans that blend her imaginative thinking and newfound Trollhunter knowledge.
Luz's creativity shines during a critical moment when a powerful enemy threatens both worlds. Drawing inspiration from her colorful doodles and intricate plans, she devises a plan involving a seemingly chaotic sequence of events that only makes sense in hindsight. This momentous victory is celebrated not just for saving the world, but for proving that Luz's unique way of thinking is her greatest asset as a Trollhunter.
This not only boosts Luz's confidence but also inspires her friends and family to embrace their unique qualities, no matter how unconventional, as crucial strengths in their fight to protect both worlds.
