series masterlist | ii. attraction
𓍢ִ໋ sakura haruka
it was a warm afternoon, and sakura was patrolling the town alongside suo and nirei. it was just a normal day when an old lady suddenly appeared in front of them, disrupting their usual routine.
“excuse me, but can you boys help me find my cat?” the three of them noticed that the elderly woman looked visibly shaken. she then pointed towards a small alleyway. “he ran that way, and i’m too old to run after him. please, can you help me?”
sakura glanced at suo and nirei, who both nodded in understanding. before leaving, he saw that nirei placed a comforting hand on the elder woman’s shoulder to assure her they would find the cat for her. without hesitation, sakura entered the narrow alley.
the alley was dimly lit, and the sounds of the town faded into the background, replaced by the soft rustling of leaves and distant meows.
“according to the old lady, the cat’s fur is white and has mismatched eyes,” suo informed him. “nirei stayed behind just in case the cat goes back. any plans?”
“i’ll follow this path while you check the other end,” sakura called out with a steady voice. of course, he was determined to find the cat. not that he would ever say it out loud.
with a single nod from suo, they both separated.
as sakura carefully made his way deeper into the alley, he spotted a small, trembling ball of white fur perched on a high ledge. it looked scared, and sakura suddenly felt something stir inside him. with careful footsteps so as not to scare the cat, he approached it slowly. but then his shoe made a sound when it stepped on a fallen dry leaf, and the cat’s mismatched eyes met his. just as sakura was about to reach for it, the cat suddenly bolted further down the alley, disappearing around a corner.
sakura grunted in frustration but still followed the cat with determination. he ran after it and turned the corner, only to be met with an unexpected sight.
there, standing in the middle of the alley, was you, holding the white cat in your arms. you looked up and were startled by his sudden appearance.
"oh, um, hi," you said, a bit flustered. "i found this little guy hiding here. is he yours?"
sakura blinked, momentarily taken aback by your presence. his face quickly turned red as he tried to cover his surprise with a frown. "wh-what the… wh-where the hell did you come from? and n-no! he's not mine. an old lady asked us to help find him.”
“is that so?” you smiled gently, seemingly unfazed by his brusque tone. "he seems really scared, though. poor thing."
sakura quickly glanced away before muttering, "y-yeah, well, thanks for catching him." for some unknown reason, he was unable to maintain eye contact.
you then introduced yourself, and sakura spluttered out a response before eventually introducing himself as well, “t-the name’s sakura. sakura haruka.”
after that, you both fell into a somewhat awkward silence. neither of you knew what to say. although you did a quick glance at sakura then the cat, suddenly recognizing a familiar similarity. without thinking, you blurted out, “you sure he’s not yours?”
“i told you he’s not mine!”
after that burst from sakura, he turned away to lead you to where the original owner was. as you walked back together, sakura was still sporting a fuming yet flustered face, with his shoulders raised as if he was embarrassed, and you could practically see steam coming out of his head. you laughed from behind, while still holding onto the small ball of white fur in your arms, which, thankfully, was already asleep.
when you finally arrived at the location, you returned the cat to its grateful owner, who was standing between a guy with yellow hair and a guy with an eyepatch. the old lady thanked you profusely, tears of gratitude in her eyes. "thank you so much! i don't know what i would have done without you furin boys, and you as well, dear," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.
sakura tried to hide his embarrassment with a nonchalant expression. "yeah, yeah, it was nothing," he mumbled, his face still slightly red. "just… don’t let it get away next time!"
you all then bid the older woman goodbye, and as you walked back, you were introduced to the other two guys who sported the same furin uniform as sakura. you also introduced yourself and told them about what happened.
as they resumed their patrol, sakura couldn't help but steal glances at you walking beside him. he tried to act indifferent, but his flustered demeanor gave him away. it was already late in the afternoon, and suo teased him to walk you back to where your home was. you, on the other hand, kindly rejected the offer, saying that you did not want to disrupt their patrol any longer. plus, you still had somewhere to go. as you turned in a different direction, you bid the three guys goodbye, particularly to sakura. “bye, sakura!”
sakura just nodded his head, and after making sure that you were out of sight, suo and nirei went beside him. suo, with a teasing glint in his eye, says, “what a sweet girl, huh?”
“you wanna fight!?”
𓍢ִ໋ suo hayato
it’s not every day that suo gets to meet unique people in his life. other than the guys from furin, no one else has ever piqued his interest.
not until today.
he was having tea at café pothos early in the morning. kotoha, who was behind the counter, would have questioned why he wasn’t accompanied by the other two but decided against it since it’s not really unusual for suo to be alone. there are times when suo actually visits the café and enjoys tea on his own, savoring the tranquility of these solitary moments.
there were a few people inside the café, but it wasn’t really a busy day. as suo sipped on his tea, eye closed, with the calming aroma and taste helping to ease his mind, he was able to sense the things happening around him: the constant jingling of the bells on the door whenever someone opened and closed it, kotoha’s voice calling out orders, and the soft chattering of people around him.
but he caught one particularly distressed voice inside the café, mumbling foreign words. not that he didn’t understand it. quite frankly, he was very familiar with the language.
he opened his eye to find the source of the voice and immediately spotted you, sitting two tables away. he noted that you were looking at the cafe’s menu with a troubled expression, your brow furrowed and lips moving as if rehearsing what to say. he slightly tilted his head and listened closely to what you were saying. once he confirmed the language, he set his cup of tea down on the plate. ever the gentleman, he stood up and made his way over to you.
“do you need any help?” he asked in the same language he had heard you speaking. it wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough to understand. plus, his voice was warm and reassuring.
you, on the other hand, looked up in surprise, relieved to hear someone speaking your native language. embarrassed by the sudden appearance of a guy (who was good-looking even with an eyepatch) in front of you, you ducked your head behind the menu, peeking out cautiously. in a combination of your native language and a bit of japanese, you said, “yes, please. i’ve only been here for a short time, but i still can’t get the hang of japanese.”
suo chuckled softly before explaining every food and beverage available on the menu, describing the dishes with a gentle, knowledgeable tone. he helped you pick out an order and, once confirmed, he turned towards kotoha, who was already looking at him with a raised brow and a smirk, and effortlessly translated the order for you.
you watched him as he spoke, admiring his calm and collected demeanor. once the order was placed, he turned back to you with a friendly smile.
"i’m suo hayato. nice to meet you."
feeling a bit more at ease, you introduced yourself. "thank you so much, suo. i didn’t expect to meet someone who could speak my language here."
suo nodded, still smiling. "no problem at all. i’m glad i could help. are you new in town?"
"sort of. i’ve been here for a few months, but it still feels new to me," you admitted, your voice tinged with a mix of frustration and determination.
suo nodded understandingly. "it can be tough adjusting to a new place, especially with the language barrier. if you ever need help, feel free to reach out."
you both decided to share a table once you received your order. the conversation flowed smoothly, with suo teaching you useful japanese phrases and you sharing your experiences in makochi and your decision to stay in japan to study. suo’s calm and friendly demeanor made the interaction enjoyable, and you felt grateful for the unexpected encounter. his genuine interest in your story and his patient explanations helped ease your anxieties.
eventually, it was time to part ways. suo mentioned that nirei had texted him to come to school for a meeting, while you had other errands to run. you exchanged contact information, promising to meet up again soon.
𓍢ִ໋ kaji ren
“yo, kaji! you comin’ with us?” enomoto called out from outside the classroom door. kaji, who was looking out the window, was tapped on the shoulder by kusumi. to avoid repeating what enomoto said, kusumi showed kaji what was written on his phone:
'let’s go visit a newly opened music store! it opened just 5 days ago.'
that's how the three of them ended up at the new store in the middle of town. although kaji was reluctant to go at first, he decided to tag along because he wanted to look for a specific album his favorite artist had released two days ago. he didn't want to miss the chance to find it, especially since it might be available in the new store.
the sound of music and the scent of new merchandise filled the air. while enomoto and kusumi chatted excitedly and explored the aisles, kaji wandered off on his own, adjusting his headphones over his head. he let his vice-captains explore while he searched for the album he had been eager to buy.
when he finally found the aisle where the album might be, he carefully scanned the shelves. after searching nonstop, he finally spotted it on the top shelf. there was only one copy left. he had expected this since the artist was pretty famous, so of course it would sell out quickly.
fortunately, kaji was able to find the last copy for the day, and with a barely contained gleam of excitement in his eyes, he reached out for it. however, he noticed another arm reaching for the same album. since he was taller and the album was on a high shelf, he grabbed it first.
he looked down and saw you standing there, your hand still outstretched. you were clearly reaching for the same album.
"oh, sorry about that," you said, lowering your arm and looking up at him. there was a bit of disappointment on your face, but you quickly wiped it off with a smile. “i guess you got to it first.”
kaji moved his headphones around his neck, barely catching what you said. he looked at you and noticed how your eyes focused on the album in his hand. twirling the lollipop in his mouth while thinking about what to do, he debated whether to call enomoto and kusumi over to help him out.
not knowing what to say, he just stared at you, so you sheepishly continued, “uh, i should go look for something else, then.”
his eyes followed you as you passed by him to go to another aisle, and he felt a bit embarrassed by the encounter. plus, he hadn't even uttered a word to you. after hesitating for a bit, he decided to follow you.
you, on the other hand, were a bit saddened that you couldn’t get the last copy of the album your friend wanted for her birthday. it was the only gift you could think of, remembering how she would talk to you about the artist and the new album.
with a heavy sigh, you looked through the shelves, hoping to find something else of interest to your friend. you were so focused that you didn’t notice kaji behind you. he tapped you on the shoulder to get your attention. you jumped a bit before turning around to see who it was. you were surprised to see the guy from earlier again. confused but still friendly, you asked, “can i help you?”
kaji noticed the genuine friendliness in your demeanor, and although it was out of character for him to give up something he really wanted, he couldn’t forget the slight disappointment on your face.
“here," he said, handing you the album. "you can have it."
“wait, what?” you blinked, genuinely surprised by the sudden act. "really?”
he shrugged, putting a new lollipop back in his mouth. "it's no big deal. i can get it another time."
“thank you so much!”
as you took the album from him, you introduced yourself with a big smile, and kaji introduced himself back. you started talking about the music store, and he found himself responding more than he usually did with people he just met. despite his quiet nature, you managed to make the conversation flow easily.
after a while, enomoto and kusumi eventually found him, and you gave them a polite nod after paying for the album at the counter. "well, it was nice meeting you, kaji. thanks again for the album!"
"yeah," he replied while nodding, watching as you walk away.
as he turned back to his vice-captains, enomoto grinned. "making new friends already, captain?"
"shut up, enomoto," kaji rolled his eyes, putting his headphones back over his head.
kusumi smiled and showed what was written on his phone:
‘come on, let's check out the rest of the store.’
kaji followed them, a lollipop in his mouth, as he thought about what other album he should check out.
𓍢ִ໋ umemiya hajime
"hajime-kun, thank you once again for helping me carry these boxes into the store!"
"no problem at all!" umemiya exclaimed, his face beaming with a big smile after placing the last box on top of the pile. "glad i could help ya!"
one of umemiya's regular weekend routines is to go into town and assist townspeople in need. today, he came across mr. (l/n), a kind old man who was struggling to move boxes from his truck into his plant shop, which he runs with his wife. umemiya is very familiar with the sweet couple, often helping them around the store or running errands for them.
whenever umemiya comes by, they give him snacks, and once they even gifted him an indoor potted plant after he helped clean up the store following a gang fight. that plant now sits by the window in his room at the orphanage, a cherished gift he takes good care of. he is deeply grateful to the couple, who treat him like their own grandchild.
dusting off imaginary dirt from his hands, the 13-year-old umemiya asked, “is there anything else you need help with?”
mr. (l/n) hummed thoughtfully. after a moment, he exclaimed, “ah! are you busy after this, hajime-kun?”
umemiya blinked, then looked up, trying to recall if he had any plans for the day. when he realized he didn't, he shook his head.
"then," the old man clasped umemiya’s hand in his larger ones, his voice gentle yet tinged with concern. "could you check on my granddaughter? she went to the convenience store nearby, but my wife is worried she might get lost."
“your granddaughter?” umemiya asked curiously. he had never heard about mr. (l/n)’s granddaughter before, despite frequently visiting the store whenever he had free time.
“yes,” the old man nodded, releasing umemiya’s hands and turning to look outside. “she lives in furano with her parents and arrived two days ago to visit us. while this isn’t her first time in makochi, it’s her first time exploring on her own.”
“so, hajime-kun,” mr. (l/n) turned back to him with a closed-eye smile, “will you please go after my granddaughter to see if she’s alright?”
umemiya grinned and nodded, “sure!”
mr. (l/n) described his granddaughter to umemiya before he left the plant store to find you. he went to the nearest convenience store to check if you were still there, but you were nowhere to be found. he also noted that he didn’t see you on his way there.
she’s probably already lost. i must find her quickly.
umemiya checked alleyways, hoping to find you, but still saw no sign of a girl matching mr. (l/n)’s description.
he was already a bit far from the convenience store when he spotted a girl a few inches away, wandering aimlessly with a plastic bag in hand. she muttered something under her breath, but ume still heard it.
“oh great, we’re just walking in circles in this town.”
ume approached to confirm if this was mr. (l/n)’s granddaughter. as he got closer, you looked up, hearing his footsteps.
upon seeing your face, umemiya noticed a resemblance to mr. (l/n). to be sure, he asked with a gentle smile, “hi, are you (l/n)-san’s granddaughter?”
you blinked at the boy, who seemed about your age, before furrowing your eyebrows. “um, yeah. how’d you know?”
“i was helping out at the store a while ago and (l/n)-san asked me to escort you back home just in case you get lost!”
“w-who said i was lost?” you defended yourself. confident in your ability to navigate, you felt certain despite it being more than a year since your last visit to your grandparents' town. “i just got a bit sidetracked, that’s all!”
“really?” umemiya tilted his head. “but i’m pretty sure i heard you muttering that you were walking around–”
“okay! okay,” you interrupted, waving your arms to stop him. “you caught me, alright? but don’t tell my grandpa about this!”
umemiya laughed before introducing himself. you narrowed your eyes at him but introduced yourself as well. the two of you fell into conversation as you made your way back to your grandparents' house, and umemiya promised to tour you around town if he got the chance to meet you again.

𝘼𝙣 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣.
Pairing: Jo Togame x f!reader
Synopsis: Togame accidentally confessed to you but in the end, he's grateful that he did :)
Word count: 4.9k
Contains: Fluff, just pure fluff.
Warnings: None.
Enjoy! 💗
"𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚."
You smiled when you saw Togame wave at you from your balcony.
The fact that you had given him that same sweet smile countless times now, but his heart never failed to skip a beat because of it, was beyond even him.
You put on your shoes and almost lost a tooth when you stumbled on your way down the stairs, hurriedly making your way to him.
Togame felt a familiar kind of heat rise up in his chest when he saw you walk towards him with the brightest smile on your face and suddenly, any hesitation that he felt before about taking you out in the middle of the night because you said you were craving some ice-cream, evaporated right off his mind because if it meant that he could see that adorable look on your face, he'd be willing to take you out every day.
God, no matter how much he denied it in his head, he was definitely stupid in love with you.
"I didn't think you'd actually show up, Jo."
You said, looking up at him.
"Yeah?"
He smiles before saying-
"Hey, you should've at least put a jacket on, it's chilly out here."
Togame said, removing his jacket and handing it to you.
"Here, put it on."
"T-Thank you."
You nod a little before putting the orange jacket on.
"Let's get going, yeah?"
He said, failing to hide the small smile that made its way on his face because of the way his jacket hugged your small frame, making you look even more adorable, if that was even possible.
"Yep."
You give him a nod and you both start making your way to the nearest convenience store.
You've been friends with Togame for a while now, you both were in the same club in your school and exchanged numbers for club stuff.
You were both quite polar opposites in terms of your personalities but that's probably also what drew you both closer in such a short period of time.
"What flavour do you want?"
Togame asked you, opening the ice-cream freezer after you both had made your way into the shop.
"Hmm, I want the mint chocolate-chip one."
You said pointing at the green packaged one.
Togame shot you a questioning look before taking the one you wanted and a vanilla-flavoured one for himself.
You were about to hand your money to the cashier when Togame came up from behind you and shot the cashier a glare that basically said- "𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘵." before handing his own money to him.
"Hey, I was the one who called you out so late, this one's on me."
You said, scrunching your eyebrows at him.
"You're fine."
Togame said softly, patting your head lightly and practically dragging you out of the shop.
You both sat at the tables set outside the CVS, the chilly breeze sending a slight shiver down your spine.
"I can't believe you were craving ice-cream out of everything when it's like 53°F outside."
Togame said shaking his head, while opening his packet of ice-cream.
"It's never too cold for ice-cream. Besides, the cold never bothered me anyway."
You said imitating the way Elsa said the last line in 'Let it Go'.
Togame chuckled and took a bite before asking you again-
"So you like occasionally having toothpaste, huh?"
"Heyyy, it's not toothpaste, it's my favorite ice-cream flavour."
You glare at him with a slight pout on your face, looking utterly offended.
Togame threw his head back a little and laughed, finding the look on your face absolutely adorable.
"I can't believe I'm in 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 with someone whose favourite ice-cream flavour is toothpaste."
The words leave his mouth before he can even process it and his hands freeze.
"I just told you it's not toothpaste, it's the best ice-cream flavour out there, you can't just-"
Your lips halt mid-sentence and your grip on the spoon you were holding loosens when you realise what he just said.
"Y-You w-what?-"
No, there was no way, he didn't just-
You were sure you had heard him wrong, there was no way Togame had just confessed that he was in love with you, it sounded crazy even in your own head.
"I think I heard y-you wrong, I'm sorry, what d-did you just say?"
You say laughing awkwardly and looking away from his eyes.
"No, you heard me right."
Your eyes widen the moment those words leave his mouth.
"W-What?"
"I said you heard me right, 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡."
Your ears turn red at the nickname.
"Y-You're...in love with m-me?"
You were certain you sounded crazy at this point, if felt weird even actually voicing your thoughts in front of him, as if you were speaking a foreign language for the first time.
He nods and you feel fireworks go off in the back of your head.
"It's actually been quite a while.."
He continues, rubbing the lower back of his head, looking just as nervous as you were.
"I d-don't exactly know how to do this, but now that I have the chance, I'd like to um, you know, 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙪𝙩 , if you'd like, that is."
He said the last few words looking you straight in the eyes and you felt your cheeks turn a light shade of pink.
Am I dreaming? You thought to yourself, it wasn't that you weren't head over heels for him yourself but you never thought he even felt the same way, let alone ask you out.
"So..?"
His voice woke you up from your trance and you cleared your throat.
"𝙔-𝙔𝙚𝙨."
"Yeah? You'd like to go out with me?"
He raised his eyebrows in surprise, eyes widening slightly.
You nod before warning him.
"Only if you stop calling my ice-cream toothpaste."
Togame chuckled again, the sound making your heart bloom in your chest.
"Alright, 𝙨𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚."
He smiles before ruffling your hair.
You giggle and Togame swears he felt his heart explode in the moment.
He knew he didn't exactly look like the typical-nice-approachable guy but the fact that you had still reached out to him, always being so sweet to him, never failed from making his heart swell with warmth.
After you both were done eating and about to just leave, Togame held out the palm of his hand and you looked up at him, blinking in slight confusion.
You slowly place your palm in his and you both make your way back home, smiling to yourselves and that was the moment he knew..

hiragi toma | sentimental part one, corporate!au, book lover reader, sfw. tgcf is mentioned but there are no spoilers for that book, the Water God story is made up (not referencing a real book)
The Water God has finally faced the villain. After all the peril and determination to save those close, the final scene is being devoured by your devoted eyes.
Oh, how fiercely the Water God is monologing, how much disdain the villain has for them. And your alarm had rudely gripped you back to reality. You woke up, promised yourself you'd read more after work.
But but but-- you spent a good, solid, four hours at work editing videos to precision. So it's okay? Right! You've done your job, you're not bothering anyone as you...sit in this stairwell crying your eyes out and slowly flipping to the next page.
Tsubakino told you to take an extra long lunch too, somehow knowing you were dying to read the final chapters. Even the twins didn't fuss when you grabbed the book and ran away instead of your own lunch kit.
But damn, books should come with 'will rip your heart out and stomp at it until its mush' warnings. Because, because, the Water God made the ultimate sacrifice and--
"No one should be crying while reading a book." A handkerchief is gently tapping the corner of your eyes. What stared as gentle tears now turns into a full on emotional outburst.
"The..W-Water G-od...." more sniffles and uncontrolled words are all Hiragi gets out of you for the next few minutes.
Sighing, he takes a set on the ground in front of you, long fingers reaching out to take the book from your shaking hands. He slips in a business card as bookmark for your spot. He looks a big uncertain.
Not not sure if he's glad a book made you cry or worried a book made you cry. (Do people have such soft hearts anymore?)
After you've sobered up from the storm of devastating writing your puffy eyes look up. Sharp jawline and cheek bones, the blond hair, where have you seen him? He's wearing leather pants and given the casualness of the rest of his outfit he must be a manager or team lead of some sort...
Oh great.
"I'm sorry! The book--"
"Why are people writing things that make people cry?" Hiragi is pulling the book to his face, taking in the title and author. It doesn't look like a book that would people cry. But he knows better than to judge things based on their cover. Somehow though, he doesn't like this book made someone as cute as you cry.
"It's actually a very moving tale, the author has taken a classic myth and turned into something beautiful and special. The way you're compelled to hate the Water God in the first book but by the third you're--"
"There's more than one?"
"It's a series-- yes."
"And the first one didn't make ya' cry?"
Oh you feel your face flush, "No, it made me a bit angry but no tears."
He hums, taking a close look at your face. You stare back because, just, where have you seen him?
Hiragi isn't sure why you're looking so intently at him. Belatedly he realizes he's holding your book, hands it back with a soft sigh. "Don't keep reading if it's sad, alright?"
That causes a surge of protest, how can you simply not know how a story ends? You've waited a full seven months for book three to come out. "I have to know what happens, no matter what!"
That has a smile forming on his face, happy to hear the determination in your voice, "No matter what, huh?" He leans into your space, "The story is that good?"
You don't trust yourself to speak, let out a small nod and watch as this somewhat familiar man stands up.
Oh, oh wow, he's tall. And given how you're sitting if you were look ahead you'd be staring at his --
A pat at the top of your head, "Don't read it alone then, okay?" And up he goes the flight of stairs. Leaving you with a mix of emotions.
One things clear, whoever he was, his hand was very warm.
📚
"Umemiya's asking to use audio from the movie Zootopia again." Seiryu sighs.
You have your headphones in, meticulously editing away the video ad sponsoring the company's new product. The story board was super duper vague and you're wondering how this Sakura Haruka person got his idea approved.
The Marketing team is notorious for their lack of details but this, this story board is the worst you've ever seen. The team lead, Toma H. should be fired you think.
There's a poke to your cheek and you turn to find Tsubakino holding out a boba drink.
"THANK YOU!" You say too loudly, earning a click of Uryu's tongue. "Sorry." You say sweetly, pulling your headphones off and watching Tsubakino hum over the current edits you've placed. You play the lower render version so he can give you pointers. You're not sure how exactly to execute the terrible story board the Marketing team sent over.
"Slow down the timing here, and see this info-let? Make the background a little more transparent."
"Hey, did you hear me? Umemiya wants Zootop--"
"The Legal team said it was impossible to get Disney sign off, so I'm not adding it in."
"It's just for an internal company meeting."
"It goes on the public facing portal too, tell Mr. Umemiya no." You turn to Tsubakino for back up, you hate being the bad guy but you know how serious copyrighting can get. Especially with evil big Disney.
"I'll talk to Umemiya...but you'll have to go tell Hiragi the request is rejected."
"Hiragi?" Why does that name sound familiar? You're trying to palce it when Uryu
"Toma H.- the H stands for Hiragi."
Both the twins look away after when you ask who Hiragi is and why the rejection needs to go to him. Why can't you e-mail Sugishita Kyotaro, Mr. Umemiya's executive assistant. "You rather talk to Sugishita?" You nod, Sugishita and you have debated over Murakami books, he seems intelligent and reasonable. Someone who can definitely talk some sense into Mr. Umemiya. Plus you rather talk to someone you know but Tsubakino sends you up to the Marketing department anyways.
📚
You don't end up walking to the Marketing department because the door was locked. Instead, you head home early and stop by the bookstore, book four is taking pre-orders and you want to confirm the delivery date. You can't remember if it's the 10th or the 11th, you want to request the day off so you can dive in.
And while you're there why not check out the new covers for the series? It's not like you have to buy them, you can look with your eyes. Touch the cover, hold it to keep it warm, walk it to the register while you ask your question. That's all. It doesn't mean you'll take it home.
Except, except, there's a very tall, blond, sharp looking man blocking you from the table of ultimate dreams. He's glaring into Book 1 with such fever and--it's him! The manager from the stairwell incident. You don't know why you duck into the mysterious aisle but you do, and you peak out to watch him. His eyebrows aren't furrowed but his expression looks grim, he's squinting at the book description before sighing, you hide when he walks past the aisle and see him head to the register.
(It's not like Hiragi went to the book store with the specific purpose of purchasing that book. He went to meet a client, the client cancelled and he had time to kill before heading home. The book was by a table that he happened to stumble into while looking for the restroom. It's not like he's been thinking about you and why you were crying over a book. Not that at all.)
📚
Hiragi doesn't understand how anyone could cry for the Water God. He's an arrogant bastard who has ideal principles grounded in nothing real. A toddler understands the concept up 'no' faster than this God -- but you shed tears for him? He pushes his glasses up again as he settles into the book for the rest of the night.
If he stops by the book store early in next morning, purchases both book two and three, that's because he's looking for an answer to his question. Nothing more, nothing less. It's not like he's told himself he needs to be prepared by the time book four comes out, it's not like he told the book shop employee to let him read the book first. It's not like he has plans to warn you about any sadness in book four.
📚
A copy of Heaven Official's Blessing is plopped onto your desk and slides towards you, long fingers tapping at the cover. You slide of your head phones and look up to see--
"Hiragi! What a pleasant surprise!" Tsubakino places your matcha latte next to the keyboard, ready to intervene if Hiragi is here to push for the Zootopia song. You look between the two, "You're Toma H?"
He gives you what he hopes is a polite smile, "Read this instead, Xie Lian is a way more likable than your Water God series. Oh, and tell me before you start book four."
And then he's off.
"What just happened?" You blink up at Tsubakino, whose grin does nothing to calm your beating heart.
📚
Xie Lian, is indeed, a very likable character. Mixed with Hua Cheng and this series is absolutely devoured by you in no time. You're eagerly reading through book two, three and decide to skip lunch to pick up book four.
The bouncing energy practically radiating off of you as you skip through the elevator towards the company exit. You know Hiragi told you to tell him when you're on book four but that was weeks ago, and things have happened in book three. You can't wait a full day to find the Marketing Director, he probably doesn't even remember and if he did, he'd understand wouldn't he? After all he recommended the series to you!
Except, you decide, dreadfully, to start book four that night. You barely make it through lunch before you're in the stairwell crying again trying to eat the strawberry snacks you packed.
A familiar figure is crouching down in front of you "I thought I told you to tell me when you got to book four."
"You sa...you said this..."
A handkerchief to the side of your eyes, "I said Xie Lian is a better character, not that this series wouldn't hurt..." And he let's you have your tangled emotional sobbing frustration, "It gets better, keep reading."
And the way your eyes beam up at him, the way your soft voice says, "Promise?"
Hiragi Toma in that moment, has never, ever, wanted anything more than to keep your trust. "Promise. You can shave my head if it's a lie."
You sniffle at that, "I don't want that. The blond is pretty." And you're reaching to touch his hair, frowning when you realize, "It feels like a broom."
His smooth, low chuckle has reality hitting you again.
What are you doing to this handsome man's hair!
You aren't even friends!
You snatch your hand back so fast. "Finish your lunch and keep reading, it gets better."
📚
"A hair mask?" You are trying so hard not to look at the ground but you're in the Marketing department, which should really be renamed to the Modeling department because how are all these handsome men in ONE team.
"As a thank you, for recommending the series to me."
He wants to say that he made you cry and he shouldn't be thanked for that but, he looks at his team whose very suspiciously silent, "Thanks. Hey can I speak to you for a moment."
"I cannot approve the song from the Hercules movies, you guys have got to stop requesting songs that aren't in the approved catalogue, we don't have the budget or lawyers to fight Disney." He just chuckles, there's grumbling of his team behind you but you follow him to the stairwell.
"Thank you again for the hair mask and I'll be more careful about my team." The way the light is coming in from the window, making his eyes glow soft and warm. To anyone else Hiragi Toma must look like an intimidating, scary man but you know, he's a really nice guy right?
"I was wondering if you could actually help me with something."
"Anything."
He points to the headphones around your neck, "I take it you're an expert on audio?"
"I...I guess so, yes. I'm particular about headphones since it's part of my job and I can't wear things that hurt my ears for a long period of time. Not everything on the market is ergonomically designed, did you know that? I hate how companies don't consider--" stop stop stop you're rambling, you tie it up with, "I like music, yes." Excellent.
Not only are you a book cryer but you're a rambler.
But it doesn't seem to deter Hiragi, he remains calm and composed, "I knew it, you're perfect."
Huh?
"Umm, I-- Ren, on my team...he also likes music and is big into headphones and his birthday is coming up and, if you had time this weekend would you help me find the perfect pair for him?"
You turn around to peak back through the doors, Sakura Haruka and a guy wearing headphones quickly shuffle away from the door window. You grin, "I can do that."
Then you frown. "This weekend?"
"Yeah, does that work for you?"
You wanted to finish book five but when you look at him, that seems like a silly reason. Beautiful, handome, kind man wants your help with finding a gift for his colleague. He probably doesn't ask many people for help from what Tsubakino has told you about him. (Mr. Keeps to himself Hiragi but somehow Mr. Umemiya adores him.)
You're surely not going to miss the chance to get to know Hiragi right?

If I'm correct this is how I trick or treat on here sooo
TRICK OR TREAT:3
kiryu (windbreaker) CG! HC:3?
You are very correct dear anon!
Also
Yes yes yes yes yes!!! First time getting a wind breaker request I am very happy about that I love this series!
~Favorite candies are anything fruit themed. Fruit gummies, lollipops (obviously), sour patch kids are his absolute favorite. I think anything besides those lollipops with gum at the center- yuck!
~He’s switching out the candies he knows his friends like from his bag just to see them smile
~His costume would probably be something fun but simple. Maybe floppy puppy dog ears and a fluffy tail. He would be a poodle I think or a Dalmatian
~Playful older brother vibes who take all of the younger regressors out trick or treating
~Literally has to explain to Sakura what trick or treating is and be an example that “no, if you say trick or treat, no one is actually going to be nasty to you as a ‘trick” before they actually go out on the streets because the boy is so nervous over something that is supposed to be fun
Someone send me an ask for Sakura please I want to ramble about him

ii. attraction (wbk series)
synopsis. sparks ignite and hearts flutter as a magnetic pull draws two people closer. featuring. sakura haruka, suo hayato, kaji ren, umemiya hajime x f!reader content. fluff, sfw, mutual pining, lots of teasing, brief mention of umemiya’s past notes. thank you all so much for giving this series so much love! and with that, here’s the second part ♡ word count. 3.8k+
series masterlist | i. first meeting | iii. confession
𓍢ִ໋ sakura haruka
a few weeks after the cat incident, you unexpectedly found yourself growing closer to sakura. it wasn't something you had planned, but it seemed like every time you turned around, there he was. whether it was during one of his patrols or just in passing as you went about your day in makochi, the two of you kept bumping into each other more often than you could count.
you also spent time with suo and nirei, but lately, your interactions with sakura seemed more frequent. sometimes you were alone together, and other times, you were with the others.
the fact that you lived just a few feet away from him made it easier to develop a closer relationship—at least, that's what you thought. you weren't sure how sakura felt, as you were still getting to know him. however, you observed him quite a bit, noticing traits that most people might not be aware of.
it amused you that sakura often acted like he hated everyone around him, only to say something unexpectedly inspiring afterward. this left you wondering if he considered you a friend. the only evidence you had was that he still tolerated your company, even when you bribed him with omurice to do you a favor.
hoping to get even closer, you invited him, along with suo and nirei, to the annual festival in makochi. the town was beautifully adorned with lanterns, and various stalls lined the streets. when you met up with the group, sakura was noticeably flustered at the sight of you in a yukata. you couldn't help but smile at his reaction; it was just typical sakura.
as you all wandered through the festival, nirei immediately spotted a food stall and rushed over with suo, leaving you and sakura alone. you smiled sheepishly at sakura, who only glanced at you from the corner of his eye.
"are you hungry?" you asked.
"of course, dumbass. we're at a festival, so the least we could do is enjoy the food."
you laughed at his response before eagerly dragging him along to where nirei and suo were. the four of you engaged in casual conversation, sampling various foods from the stalls until you were all too full to eat any more.
as the evening wore on, you shared moments of laughter and enjoyment. while walking around, you spotted a goldfish scooping stall and excitedly turned to sakura. "sakura, look! we should try catching some goldfish."
sakura looked at the stall, furrowing his brows slightly. "huh? what are you, five? what are you even gonna do with a goldfish?"
"you ask a lot of questions," you pouted. "just admit you're scared you can't catch one."
"what?!" he exclaimed, jumping away from you and pointing an accusing finger. "you're the one who's scared! of course, i can catch a goldfish, not just one!"
"well then," you smirked, successfully goading him into a challenge. "prove it."
with a twitch of his eye, sakura's competitive side took over, and he stepped up to the stall. the two of you began competing to see who could catch the most goldfish, with suo and nirei cheering from the sidelines. however, the paper scoops kept tearing, and the goldfish darted away faster than you could catch them.
despite the initial tension, the competition quickly turned into playful banter. sakura, usually aggressive, (slightly) softened as he watch you laugh and enjoy the game. you didn't notice it, but suo's observant eye caught the shift in sakura's demeanor, making the latter smirk in amusement.
after some struggle, you finally caught a goldfish. in your excitement, you accidentally splashed water on sakura, causing him to jump back in surprise. you immediately apologized, not realizing that he didn’t even got angry. he was too captivated by your smile to care about being wet.
later, the four of you strolled through the festival while soaking in the atmosphere. the night culminated with a fireworks display.
suo and nirei went to get drinks, while you and sakura found a quiet spot away from the crowd to enjoy the show. as the fireworks lit up the sky, you shared a peaceful moment, silently watching the colorful display.
the reflection of the fireworks in your eyes caught sakura's attention. he didn't understand the strange feeling in his chest at that moment. normally, he'd be flustered. but instead, he felt at ease, as if he could forget all the world's problems.
when a particularly large firework illuminated the sky, casting a glow on your awed face, sakura realized something. just like the fireworks, you had brightened the deepest, darkest corners of his heart, revealing emotions he hadn't known existed.
almost missing your gaze turning toward him, sakura quickly looked away, deciding to focus on the fireworks. when you noticed his red ears, you laughed and teased him about it. he immediately got defensive, and the two of you fell into playful banter, forgetting the world around you.
suo and nirei watched from a distance, sharing knowing smiles at the sight of the two of you.
𓍢ִ໋ suo hayato
suo is definitely a mysterious one, but in a good way. there's an air of intrigue about him that draws you in rather than pushes you away.
your first meeting with suo was already quite unique. you didn't expect anyone to know the basics of your native language, but there he was, helping you navigate an order crisis with ease.
grateful for his assistance, you left the encounter and was surprised to receive a text message from him later in the afternoon, saying he was glad to have helped. this simple act of kindness blossomed into frequent text exchanges, and before long, you had become text buddies.
you found yourself messaging suo often, whether you were at school or just out buying groceries. initially, you were hesitant, worried that you might be coming off as too clingy or overly friendly. but suo, with his gentleman-like demeanor, never made you feel that way. he was just as enthusiastic as you were, and you couldn't help but think he was kind of cute (a random passing thought everytime he teaches you new japanese words).
speaking of lessons, you were supposed to meet him right after school at a public library. you had already texted him that you were on your way even though you were still inside a convenience store, picking up snacks for yourself and tea for suo.
after making your purchase, you headed to the library. upon entering the fairly large building, you felt a bit anxious since it was your first time there. you scanned the area, hoping to spot his brown-reddish hair among the sea of people browsing books and occupying tables.
just as you were about to give up, you saw someone waving their arms in your direction. it was suo.
you waved back and made your way over to where he was sitting.
settling into a cozy, quiet corner, suo greeted you with his usual warm smile. he had a small stack of books in front of him, along with a notebook and a few pens. the atmosphere was serene, punctuated only by the soft rustling of pages and occasional whispers.
"hey, glad you could make it," suo said, sliding a chair out for you. "i found some books that i think you'll find interesting."
you returned his smile, feeling a mix of curiosity and excitement. "what did you find?"
after placing your bag and snacks on the chair next to you, suo handed you a beautifully illustrated book. "it's a collection of traditional japanese folktales. i thought it would be a fun way to help you with your language skills. plus, the stories are fascinating."
you opened the book, flipping through pages filled with both japanese text and english translations. "this is amazing, suo! i love folktales, and it'll definitely help me learn."
he chuckled softly. "i figured it would be a good way to blend learning with something enjoyable. we can read them together, and i'll help you with any tricky words or phrases."
as you both delved into the stories, suo patiently guided you through the nuances of the language, explaining the cultural context and meanings behind certain phrases. his explanations were thorough yet never overwhelming, and his passion for the subject was infectious. you found yourself not only learning but also becoming increasingly intrigued by the tales and the language.
as the evening progressed, suo found himself watching you more intently. the way you concentrated on the text, your brow furrowing slightly in thought — all caught his attention. there was something captivating about your genuine interest and enthusiasm for learning.
he leaned back slightly, a small, amused smile playing on his lips as he observed you. it wasn't often that someone could hold his interest so completely, and he found himself curious about the effect you had on him.
suo was usually the one doing the teasing, enjoying the reactions he could elicit. but with you, he felt a quiet admiration that was both new and intriguing.
you looked up when you felt someone’s eyes on you. you then caught the eye of suo thats’s watching you, and instead of looking away, he met your gaze with a playful smirk. "enjoying the stories?" he asked, his tone casual but carrying an undertone of something more.
you smiled, a hint of a challenge in your eyes. "very much. thanks for sharing them."
he chuckled softly, leaning forward slightly. "you're welcome. it's always interesting to see someone so dedicated. makes me wonder what else you're passionate about."
the subtle implication in his words made your heart skip a beat, but you kept your composure. "you'll just have to keep finding things to teach me, and maybe you'll find out," you replied, matching his playful tone.
suo's smile widened, clearly enjoying the exchange. there was a palpable tension in the air between you, a mutual recognition of a growing connection. he was intrigued by your confidence and the way you met his teasing without hesitation.
as the evening drew to a close and you both began packing up, suo felt a subtle but undeniable attraction toward you. it wasn't a feeling that flustered him; instead, it intrigued him. he enjoyed the challenge you presented and appreciated the way you didn't back down from his teasing. it was refreshing, and he couldn't help but wonder what other layers there were to you.
walking you to the library entrance, suo couldn't resist one last playful remark. "you know, you make studying a lot more interesting. maybe next time, i'll teach you something even more challenging."
you laughed, nodding. "i'll hold you to that."
as you both went your separate ways, suo felt a thrill at the thought of getting to know you better. it wasn't just about the lessons or the teasing; it was about the unexpected spark that had ignited between you. for someone who usually kept his emotions guarded, suo found himself looking forward to exploring this newfound attraction.
𓍢ִ໋ kaji ren
after the chance encounter at the music store, where kaji gave you the last copy of the album, you found yourself intrigued by the quiet, straightforward boy with the headphones and his favorite suckers. that simple gesture of kindness sparked the beginning of a growing friendship.
over the next few weeks, you often ran into kaji around town. whether you were at a local store, a food market, or just strolling through makochi, friendly greetings became a regular part of your interactions. you kept expressing your gratitude for the album, despite his insistence that it was no big deal.
after knowing kaji, you could also tell that the suckers and his headphones were important to him, even though he never explicitly mentioned it. you assumed they helped him keep his temper in check, and this little detail added to your curiosity about him.
as time went on, you noticed that each meeting seemed to chip away at kaji’s tough exterior, revealing a more considerate side of him.
one particularly busy afternoon, while you were running errands amidst the crowded streets of makochi, you saw kaji patrolling with enomoto and kusumi. kaji looked visibly tense, his frustration palpable amidst the chaos. deciding to check in, you approached him.
"hey, kaji! how's it going?" you called out, waving. you realized that he did not hear you. however, enomoto and kusumi noticed you first.
but just as kusumi was about to tap kaji on the shoulder to get his attention, kaji had already pulled his headphones down and around his neck the moment he saw a glimpse of your hair.
his usual scowl softened a bit once you were in front of him. "oh, hey," he said, trying to mask his irritation. "just dealing with the usual mess. it's been a rough day."
you smiled sympathetically. "yeah, i can imagine. but hey, at least you’ve got your trusty suckers to keep you going, right?" you teased gently, nodding toward the red candy in his hand.
kaji’s lips twitched, and he tried to suppress a smile. “yeah, these suckers are my lifesavers,” he said, placing one in his mouth. “keeps me from losing my patience.”
as you continued chatting, you noticed kaji’s usual irritation seemed to lessen. he remained straightforward and honest, but there was a new softness in his demeanor that you hadn't seen before. it was almost as if your presence had a calming effect on him.
just then, a group of rowdy teens caused a commotion nearby, blocking the path. you glanced at kaji, expecting him to react with his usual frustration. but instead, he only looked at the teens and then at his vice-captains before nodding. enomoto and kusumi immediately took action, approaching the teens.
kaji, meanwhile, turned back to you, his gaze noticeably softened.
"need some help with anything?" you asked, sensing his unusual calm. you were surprised that he did not lash out at all. "or maybe just a break from all the noise?"
kaji hesitated, then shook his head. “no, it’s fine,” he said, his voice devoid of its usual edge. “just… thanks for stopping by. it was… nice.”
you smiled warmly. “no problem. it was nice seeing you, too.” you added with a friendly tone, “if you ever need to talk or just hang out, i’m around. we can also check out the album store again. i heard your favorite artist has released a new track."
kaji looked a bit taken aback and then gave a small nod, his eyes still on you. “yeah, maybe… i’ll take you up on that sometime.”
you waved cheerfully as you left. “see you around, kaji!”
as you walk away, kaji watches as you disappear into the crowd. he felt an unfamiliar sense of tranquility whenever you are near. he was surprised by how your presence had eased his frustration which is a stark contrast to his usual irritation.
moments later, enomoto and kusumi caught up with him. enomoto, who saw the last interaction between you and kaji, grinned mischievously. “hey, captain! what was that all about? you seemed prrretty soft back therrre.”
kusumi, barely containing his amusement, eagerly sent a message in their group chat.
yeah, captain. your gentler side is coming out whenever y/n-chan's around.
kaji, visibly flustered, glared at them, his cheeks flushed. “shut up, you two,” he muttered, trying to regain his composure. “it’s nothing.”
enomoto chuckled. “looks like someone’s got a little crush.”
kaji’s face turned even redder, and he grumbled, “i don’t have a crush. i was just being… polite.”
kusumi nudged enomoto before showing what was written on his phone screen again.
i bet you’re looking forward to seeing her again
ദ്ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
kaji glared at his two vice-captain, his irritation clear with a mix of embarrassment. he wears his headphones once again before turning away. “just drop it. let’s get back to patrol.”
as enomoto and kusumi continued to tease him, kaji’s irritation was evident, but there was also a clear hint of embarrassment. despite his usual straightforwardness, it was clear that your presence had affected him more than he cared to admit. he found himself unexpectedly looking forward to the next time he would see you, feeling a curious blend of anticipation and nervousness.
𓍢ִ໋ umemiya hajime
it didn't take long for you and umemiya to become close friends. with his naturally friendly and reliable nature, it was no surprise that once umemiya made a promise, he’s determined to keep it. one such promise was the tour around town he offered you after your memorable meeting when you got lost — though you still insist that you weren't truly lost!
as the time approached for you to leave makochi and return to your hometown, umemiya made it a point to visit your grandparents' plant store regularly. his visits were always purposeful — whether its inviting you out to explore the town, helping out in the store, or simply spending time with you. through these frequent interactions, you grew closer, enjoying introducing him to some of your favorite plants.
when the day came for you to say goodbye, both of you felt a deep sadness. umemiya reassured you with a heartfelt promise: no matter how long it took, you would see each other again whenever you visit makochi. the both of you promised to keep in touch, and each time you returned to makochi, umemiya was there to welcome you. you even met some of his other friends, whom he had mentioned in a letter sent during a period when communication was limited.
over the years, your friendship with umemiya deepened significantly. you shared countless secrets, personal stories, and learned about his difficult past. despite his outward strength and resilience, you saw the scars and vulnerabilities beneath. there was a moment when you offered the exact words of comfort he needed, leading him to open up and show his vulnerable side to you for the very first time.
now, as the leader of bofurin, umemiya has grown into a significant role. yet, despite his responsibilities and the weight of his position, he remains the same kind, caring, and hardworking person you met when you were just thirteen.
as time went on, your feelings for umemiya began to shift. initially, you dismissed these feelings as simply brotherly or sisterly affection. however, you recently realized that your feelings ran deeper. despite his tendency to treat nearly everyone like a sibling, there was something special about your connection with him. but for now, you like the relationship you have with him. you decided to keep your feelings at bay since you don't want to ruin your friendship if he doesn't share the same affection.
you are once again in makochi. and with the help of umemiya and your frequent visits, you have finally familiarized yourself with your surroundings.
as you make your way towards furin high, you can't help but feel excited about visiting umemiya and his plants on the rooftop. he already knew you were in town, but he hasn't seen you yet because he had to attend to an urgent matter since yesterday.
upon entering the premises, every first- and second-year student you pass by greets you with warm smiles and friendly faces.
of course, you are a familiar face. they know you as their leader's most valued friend.
yep, a friend.
but they all think otherwise.
not with the way umemiya acts around you. they doubt you're just a friend because their leader gets all mushy and clingy once you're in his line of sight.
speaking of that, once you've entered the rooftop, umemiya is already all over you.
"y/n!" he exclaims, his tall frame bending down in order to rub his cheek against yours affectionately. "i've missed you so much!"
you chuckle at his enthusiasm and pat his chest. "i've missed you too, ume. how have you been?"
he pulls back slightly, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "busy, but good. the usual chaos, you know? but let's talk about you! it's been too long since you've been here."
you smile, feeling warmth spread through you at his genuine happiness to see you. "it has been a while, hasn't it? but i'm back now, and i brought some new ideas for your plants."
with that, you both move toward the small garden on the rooftop — a project that umemiya had started in order to create a peaceful space amidst the school's hectic environment.
(you actually teased him before that the real reason he made this garden might be because of you but he only laughed)
the two of you work side by side, tending to the various plants. you find yourself focusing on the tomatoes, gently pruning the leaves and checking the soil's moisture.
"your tomatoes are looking great," you remark, glancing at umemiya. "but i think they could use a bit more support. have you considered using stakes to help them grow straighter?"
umemiya watches you intently, a soft smile playing on his lips. he nods, leaning closer to see your handiwork. "you always have the best advice. i don't know what i'd do without you."
you laugh lightly. "oh, i'm sure you'd manage, ume. but i'm glad to help."
as you continue working, umemiya's gaze lingers on you. he can't help but admire the way you move with such care and attention. it reminds him of the first time he saw you at thirteen, lost but determined, and how he felt a pull towards you even then. there was something about your spirit that intrigued him, and over the years, that intrigue blossomed into something deeper.
he watches as you tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear, a gesture so familiar yet endearing. he knows he's supposed to be the strong leader, the one everyone looks up to, but around you, he feels like just another guy, nervous and hopeful. he wonders if you can hear his heart pounding in his chest or if you notice the way his breath catches whenever you smile at him.
"hey, y/n," he begins, his voice softer than usual. "do you remember when we first met? you were wandering around, insisting you weren't lost."
you pause, glancing at him with a knowing smile before rolling your eyes. "of course, i remember. you were the one who found me and offered to give me a tour of the town. it was one of the best days i've had."
umemiya chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. "yeah, i guess it was. i never told you this, but that day... it meant a lot to me. more than you probably know."
you stare at ume as he tends to the other plants. a mysterious smile playing on his face. there's a moment of silence as the weight of his words settles between you. you suddenly felt a flutter in your chest, a mix of curiosity and hope. but before you can respond, hiragi and tsubaki, along with their vice-captains, burst onto the rooftop, laughing and chattering amongst themselves.
umemiya sighs, shaking his head with a grin. "looks like our quiet time is over. come on, let's go see what they're up to."
as you both head towards your other friends, you can't shake the feeling that something unspoken still lingers in the air. you glance at umemiya, wondering what exactly he meant by those words and if perhaps, just perhaps, he feels the same way you do.

“DIDN’T MEAN TO HURT YOU, I SWEAR!”
WIND BREAKER BOYS + ACCIDENTALLY HURTING YOU. ft. hayato suo, kaji ren, nirei akihiko, sakura haruka, togame jo, & umemiya hajime x f!reader.
filled request: “Hi there i want to request something, asking Sakura, Ume, Nirei, Kaji and Suo to play fight and they accidentally hit you hard (If it's to many you can just do Suo and Kaji, no pressureeee)”
sfw. 3.2K wc. a/n: added togame! & tried to make suo & kaji’s xtra long since those 2 look like they might be ur faves <33
HAYATO SUO.
in the time you’ve spent dating suo, you have never once managed to successfully sneak up on him. not even remotely close. it’s impossible to the point that you’ve started to consider the fact that your boyfriend may have developed a sort of sixth sense since meeting you, an intuitive awareness of your presence— because as soon as you step within a three foot radius of him, his head is swiftly turning to face you, greeting you with an amused smile and a “this again?” with that tone that has your eyebrow twitching all over again.
you continue to fiddle with the bottom of your shirt from where you’re hidden behind your apartment door, anxiously awaiting for the moment suo emerges from outside. your plan was nothing short of perfect, every little detail thought out— and you were entirely sure of it this time.
you had given suo a copy of your key ages ago, so that he could come in at anytime without you needing to be there. a second check of your phone’s messages has you mentally preparing yourself when you reread his “i’m coming~” text from exactly twenty minutes ago, and you smile to yourself. asking him to come by and babysit your cat while you went on a quick snack restock errand was the best excuse, and a part of you feels a little guilty for formulating such an intricate plan just to get a scare out of your boyfriend— but it had to be done.
the sound of suo’s key wiggles inside the doorknob, your breath hitching in your throat when you hear the lock switch just a few seconds after, followed by the eerie creaking noise that your door always seems to make.
“i’m here,” suo sings out to no one in particular, his usual smile etched onto his face as he takes a peek inside. dark, and empty. nothing unusual, not that he was expecting anything out of the ordinary in the first place.
as soon as he takes a step inside, he’s going to take off his shoes first, and you jump on the opportunity. you’re quick to lunge at him the second his thumb slips in his shoe, aiming to launch yourself into his middle and crush him in a suffocating hug. you don’t miss the way he tenses for a split second, eyes widening at the sudden movement— mind immediately flashing to his first thought…. an intruder?
he doesn’t recognize you at first, your figure reduced to a blur— and all he knows is that something is headed towards him. and fast. he’s moving on pure instinct, arm reaching for the closest thing to him at that moment: your arm.
you gasp when you realize just how agile your boyfriend really is. the truth is— you’ve never seen him fight, and he doesn’t really talk to you about it. he has a habit of leaving all the details out, and you don’t usually find yourself asking him about it after seeing the way he’s always coming out of fights unscathed. so sure. you knew he was probably pretty strong.
but you had no idea he was like this.
“w-wait!” you yelp when his foot comes to loop around your ankle, and you’re suddenly falling backwards. your hand desperately moves to catch onto something— anything to avoid falling onto the floor, so you grab a fistful of suo’s shirt.
he’s clenching his jaw in shock when you roughly yank him down with you, the familiar sound of your voice registering a second too late, because the two of you are crashing onto the ground a second later, suo’s weight knocking the wind out of your chest.
there’s a moment of silence as the two of you wince, your eyes fluttering open to meet with suo, looming over you with an expression you’ve never seen on him before. genuine concern … and what looks to be .. shock?
it takes you another moment to take note of the subtle warmth you’re feeling until you finally recognize it as suo’s hand that’s currently cradling the back of your head— and you’re at a loss as to exactly when or how he managed to do that in only a split second.
“i’m sorry,” suo chuckles sheepishly, “you got me this time. i really thought you were an intruder.”
“but did you hit your head? hard? are you okay?” he continues, other arm coming to pull you up and hold you against his chest. “tell me.”
“i think so,” you’re barely able to mumble, heat rushing to your cheeks at the realization that suo’s first thought wasn’t to cushion his own fall, but to protect your head instead. “not that hard though… i think. it doesn’t hurt very much.”
suo’s gaze on you is suddenly much more noticeable, and you’re tearing your eyes away from him a second later, sneaking glances back and forth as he continues to search for any signs of pain.
none that he notices, and the way your lips are pressed in a nervous line is a good sign, at least. suo lets out a relieved sigh before he’s smiling again, as if you hadn’t just spooked the sealed spirits out of him.
“let’s not do that again, okay?”
KAJI REN.
you’ve never seen the night market this packed in your entire life.
it’s so busy that it’s almost suffocating, each breath taking double the effort from the way your body is being smothered between people as kaji leads you towards the food stands.
‘the best fried octopus you’ll ever try,’ your friend had said…but you’re seriously reevaluating you and kaji’s decision to come here— on the busiest night all summer to top it off.
it definitely wasn’t the best idea the two of you have come up with.
you’ve lost count of the amount of times you’ve said the words “excuse me!” and “sorry, getting through!” tonight. a part of you feels bad for your boyfriend— because you knew kaji was way worse off than you, the scowl on his face running the risk of being permanently etched onto his face from the sheer intensity of his glare. the grip he has on your wrist is tighter than ever before, trying his best to weave his way through the crowd without losing you.
kaji knows his mood is worsening each time someone bumps into him, and twice— or even three times as much when he feels someone bumping into you instead. he can feel the way your body roughly jerks back from the impact, and it was stressing him out more than he could imagine. the possibility of losing you and leaving you all alone in an aggressive crowd like this was the last thing he wanted.
he’s so lost in his thoughts that he doesn’t hear you call out his name the first time, or the second time. not even the third time. he doesn’t hear your voice trail off a bit when you mention that his grip is starting to hurt a little— to maybe hold hands instead.
he didn’t hear any of it.
kaji catches a glimpse of an emptier area, and he’s suddenly pulling harder at your wrist to lead you to it, not hearing you squeak out an “ouch, that hurts!”
and it hurts badly, warm tears welling up in your eyes as you struggle to try and keep up with him. it’s only when he suddenly jerks you around a corner that you’re tripping over the curb, stumbling and crashing into his back with a loud ‘ouch!’ that he finally turns to take a look at you.
kaji’s eyes are widening at the sight— your teary eyes peering up at him through wet lashes and your hand gingerly rubbing at your wrist. his words catch in his throat, barely able to sputter out an “are you.. okay?”
you shake your head quickly, lips tugging to a shaky frown. “you were hurting my wrist, kaji.”
his chest feels tight.
kaji is quick to bring your hand in his, gently cupping your hand as he looks at your wrist, and the guilt is flooding through him all at once. the thought of hurting you has him grimacing, feeling physically ill just thinking about it, and it’s not long before his mind is racing through all the scenarios.
he didn’t want to hurt you— and he doesn’t want to be someone you saw as ‘dangerous’ either. your wrist was so delicate, and it was a terrifying reminder of his strength— because he didn’t even realize that he was squeezing in the first place.
he truly had no idea.
“it’s okay,” your voice slices through the thick air, ripping him out of his thoughts, “i know you were stressed— it was scary over there.”
“i was scared too, kaji.”
the gentle smile you give him is the only thing that can bring him this much comfort, he thinks. it’s enough to clear his head, his heartbeat settling down, and he’s ripping another lollipop open before popping it in his mouth, turning and kneeling onto the floor.
“you can get on.”
even without his words, it’s a gesture you’re very familiar with— so you don’t hesitate for a second before climbing onto his back, arms circling around kaji as he lifts you up. there’s a subtle pink dusting the tips of his ears when you press a gentle kiss to his head, thanking him for carrying you.
“it’s not a problem,” he grumbles, voice coming out low as a futile attempt to hide the excited thump of his heart.
“get comfy up there, because we’re not leaving this damn market until we get a hold of that octopus.”
NIREI AKIHIKO.
nirei swears that he had no idea that the pillow he had just thrown towards you a moment ago had buttons decorating the outside.
he really didn’t know, and of course it was the only pillow that happened to land right on your face.
“i’m so sorry! are you okay?” his voice comes out frantic as he rushes towards you, terrified eyes watching the way you rub your eye and groan in pain. this was terrible, he was terrible. pillows were never supposed to cause you any pain.
“it…it hit your eye? i’m so sorry,” he repeats, hands coming up to do something— wave around you in panic, because he’s not quite sure if he should touch you or leave you be. his hands hover just in front of your face, mind racing with potential ways he could help.
he jolts when you laugh a bit.
“you really picked the worst pillow,” your laugh comes out strained as you try and blink, vision spotted with dots from the hit you’ve taken. “…it’s okay though.”
it takes you a couple more seconds to see nirei clearly, and you can tell that he’s absolutely devastated with just one glance, nervous hands finally coming to grab at your shoulders, keeping you still so he can inspect your eye.
“let me see.”
he’s leaning in a bit, until his face is just a couple inches in front of yours. “i think um,” he squints a bit, ignoring the warmth rising to his cheeks from the proximity, “i think your eye looks fine.”
the guilt is still eating him alive. a part of him wishes that you had been the one to grab that pillow instead, because he’s certain he would have jumped on the opportunity to tank a hit from a buttoned pillow a thousand times before letting it hit you just once. straight in the eye. anywhere. it doesn’t matter to him.
“it probably is,” you give him a small smile, “but you still cheated. i won that fight.”
SAKURA HARUKA.
“i-i didn’t know you were there!”
sakura’s a complete and utter mess, and he genuinely didn’t know any better. he didn’t hear you creeping up behind him, so when your arms suddenly wrapped around his middle, his reflex was to jab his elbow straight behind him— and it hit you square in the face.
he could feel his heart shatter into pieces when the sound of your yelp rang in his ears, jerking his body around only to see you stagger backwards, clutching your nose and peering up at him through those teary eyes.
sakura doesn’t know what to do. you’re sniffling now, your arms reaching out to hug him a second time, your voice barely coherent as you start babbling with a shaky voice, the only words he could recognize being “i deserve a hug for that.”
he’s a complete mess. he’s stiff when he lets you wrap your arms around his middle this time, face flushed with red at the simple touch and his heart hurting at the sound of you sniffling against his jacket, hand coming to wipe at the tears welling up in your eyes.
it’s impossible for him to not think of the worst— because he knows other guys wouldn’t be making this kind of mistake. his friends wouldn’t have elbowed you in the face in the first place. or at the very least, his friends would know how to comfort someone in this type of situation. he wants to kick himself for just standing there, words catching in his throat every time he tries and apologize.
“sorry…” your voice is quiet, but it’s enough to yank him out his thoughts. “i shouldn’t have scared you like that.”
it takes sakura a couple seconds before his mouth is falling at the apology. “huh?” he’s dumbfounded, hands coming to grab at your shoulders, “i should be apologizing!”
his face erupts in a furious blush when you giggle at his reaction, thumb coming to swipe at the tears that have spilled onto your cheeks. it’s only then when he tugs you back into a tight hug, hand cradling the back of your head to hold you flush against him.
he thinks it’s because he can’t stand to see you cry.
“o-oh?” you whisper against his chest. “this is new.”
sakura chooses to ignore your little remark, clenching his jaw as he glares at your wall, gaze locking on anything except you. “i should be sorry,” he repeats again, his voice barely coherent with the way he’s fighting against his blush, “so you should just … you know. tell me. when you want a hug..”
TOGAME JO. (pet name: doll)
“that’s not right, doll,” togame coos from below you, lips tugging into an amused grin as he watches you struggle to master the self-defense moves that you asked him to teach you an hour ago. or maybe two. it’s normal for him to lose track of time when he’s with you anyway.
your boyfriend doesn’t seem to realize that you don’t have the same stamina he does. or the focus, because you can feel the heat rising in your cheeks again— unsure if it’s because you’re embarrassed of your confused attempts at grabbing him, or if it’s the fact that he’s so casually sprawled out underneath you.
“you listenin’?”
you perk up, followed by a delayed nod. a little too obvious, but he doesn’t say anything.
“you grab me here,” his voice is gentle, guiding your hands back to hover over his body, “and then you pull. remember?”
and you nod again. but the sound of his voice, slow and steady, paired with the way he’s lazily propped up on his elbows to look up at you through tired eyes has your mind spinning all over again, instructions already going out your other ear as you try again and take a large fistful of his sweatshirt.
“..like this?”
he hums, lips tugging into a smile. “that’s good, doll. now pull the way i showed you.”
and you do— or you try to. you tug with all your strength, but you can tell he hasn’t moved an inch. you can hear him hum in wonder above you, and that’s all it takes for your eyes to slam shut as you jerk and pull with all your strength— and you feel some movement for the first time tonight.
“wait…” togame interrupts, but you don’t stop, pulling and pulling— not realizing you’ve inched towards to very edge of your mattress. “wait— we’ll fall,” he repeats with a little more urgency.
it’s a second too late when you realize it, eyes shooting open the second gravity tips the balance, and you’re plummeting backwards with a shriek. togame’s twisting his body to catch you as fast as he can, but the frantic movement has his fist connecting with your cheek before he grabs a hold of you, yanking you upwards and into him.
“fuck,” you wince, rubbing your cheek with the back of your hand as you huff. “that hurt a bit..”
“sorry,” togame lulls, legs spread to have you seated right in front of him, “i was trying to catch you… didn’t mean to smack you like that. are you okay..?”
his hands come to cup your cheeks, tilting your head up to look at the him. the familiar heat in your cheeks returns as soon as you lock eyes with him, because he’s so close. you can feel his breath fan against your lips with the proximity.
and he’s looking right at you.
“‘m okay,” your voice is just above a whisper, “you barely even grazed me, anyway..”
UMEMIYA HAJIME.
“when did you take that?!”
your arms shoot up to reach for ume’s phone, cheeks burning with embarrassment— because that had to be the most foul photo you’ve ever seen of yourself. the sound of your boyfriend erupting into the loudest laugh you’ve heard all day only has you seething— and he’s effortlessly holding his phone just out of your reach, as if to taunt you even further.
“you don’t need to know,” he grins widely, watching the way you shift your weight onto your toes in a futile attempt to reach his phone. “and it’s cute! you don’t think so?”
“give it!” you hiss, and you lunge forward to start pulling at the arm that has the phone, “i’m deleting it!”
“no way,” he retorts with a huff, but you’re pulling his sleeve with your full strength, and it catches ume off guard a bit, foot stumbling forward a step. he’s never seen you pull with all your might— so he just wasn’t expecting it.
you’re lunging again before he’s regained his balance, and he shifts his weight backwards, lower back colliding with the table behind him. his phone slips from his grip too fast for either of you to react, and it lands on your nose with a sickening thud.
his laughter vanishes as soon as you’re letting out a pained yelp, hands coming to clutch your nose, squeezing the bridge to ease the pain.
“ow….” you whimper, voice cracking a bit as tears start to flood your lash line. his heart breaks in two when he sees you sniffle, desperately blinking away the tears that threaten to spill as you check your hand.
no blood. just a lot of pain.
“i’m so sorry,” he’s hovering over you within a second, nervous arms fluttering just above your frame— because he hasn’t quite figured out what to do, and you look so fragile like this. he just doesn’t want to break you.
“..are you okay?” he breaks the silence, “let me see you.”
your face is buried in your hands when ume kneels in front of you, hands coming to gently tug at your wrists so you can look at him. “i’m sorry,” he repeats even quieter, worry flooding his expression when you tear your gaze away from him.
it’s your attempt at trying to get rid of the tears threatening to spill, but he doesn’t know know that. his lips are tugging into a deep frown, eyes filled with worry as he tries to get you to just look at him again.
“look at me, okay?” he whispers, “let me see.”
a deep inhale, and you’re trying to make your voice come out steady again. “i think..i think it’s okay.”
your eyebrows furrow. “you klutz…”
the relief in his face is almost too obvious. he’s taking a sharp inhale, opening his arms to urge you to come for a hug. “i know,” he chuckles, “are you sure? you’re okay?”
you give ume a nod, ignoring the throbbing in your nose as your arms wrap around him, holding him close against you. “i think i’ll be okay if you delete that.”
“no way,” he retorts, relieved that you're at least not crying anymore. "but i'll give you cuddles. deal?"
he's pulling you tighter against him before you even give him your answer, and his shoulders relax a bit when you finally nestle into his arms, leaning into his hold with a soft smile and a throbbing nose.

WIND BREAKER | when you wear someone else’s jacket
Synopsis ✰ how they react when they notice you wearing a piece of clothing that isn’t theirs
Characters ✰ Haruka Sakura, Hajime Umemiya, Hayato Suo, Akihiko Nirei, Jo Togame, Choji Tomiyama
Contains ✰ sfw! slight possessive behavior, tiny amount of jealousy, little bit of territorial behavior, minor pda, content of the boys being tested in a way?
Haruka Sakura ᡣ𐭩
Sakura knew something was off but couldn’t exactly pin point what it was. you went in for a hug since you haven’t seen your boyfriend all day. it was while he was in your embrace he inhaled a scent, a masculine smell that wasn’t yours or his, his eyebrows immediately furrowed. once you pulled away he examined your body, you looked fine, no visible marks, your outfit was normal… except for that over sized sweatshirt that was draped over your body.
“where’d you get that from?” he asked completely cutting off your babbling. you frowned over his abrupt interruption to your story. he didn’t even look sorry that he ruined your story just blankly staring at you until you opened your mouth to answer.
“a friend from class gave it to me, i was cold.” you answered confused why he was making it a thing. Sakura wasn’t the type to get jealous, it hadn’t even crossed your mind that something like this would ever bother him.
“what friend? boy or girl?” huh, what type of question was that? why would he ask that? there’s no way he could be bothered by something so small, right?
“uhm… a boy? does that matter?” you asked with your eyebrows slightly raised. you had never seen Sakura act so… weird? not over something like this.
“no, just curious.” he finally muttered out after what felt like a lifetime pause. the two of you continued your walk back home in silence. the entire time Sakura couldn’t fight off that frown setting on his perfect face. his eyes were stuck in a trance on you, more like that sweater on your body. you felt your entire body heating up by his intense stare.
you let out a sigh, getting the hint he was clearly upset over the sweater. you stopped in your tracks and pulled the sweater off your body. your boyfriends face immediately perked up after seeing you take it off. he was secretly grateful you did that because he was very unsure how to go about the conversation. before you even knew it, he was already taking off his jacket and putting it on you. you blushed at his action, it wasn’t something you were expecting him to do.
“just come to me whenever you’re cold from now on. i’ll warm you up.” he softly says with the warmest blush spreading across his face.
Hajime Umemiya ᡣ𐭩
Umemiya is rather calm in most situations so something like this doesn’t necessarily trigger him into doing anything drastic. he didn’t think much of it, until you kept wearing it for the rest of the day— then he started thinking ‘it seriously can’t be that cold, take it off already.’ he didn’t want to ask you whose jacket it was since he didn’t want to come off as jealous… even if he is. one thing he did know for sure was that everyone knew you two were dating. he couldn’t help himself anymore before he started taking off his jacket and removing the one you were wearing. he did it so quickly you almost didn’t even get the chance to register what he did. before you knew it his jacket was wrapped around you. you opened your mouth to ask—
“i just thought you’d look better with mine on.” he cut you off before smiling. his words caused you to blush.
“thank you.” you mumbled still registering what had just happened. he took your hand and interlocked it with his own and continued your walk home.
“who’s jacket is it? i’ll make sure to return it for you.” he smoothly says trying to pry the information of who gave it to you in a subtle way. at least, his version of subtle.
“oh- hm i actually don’t even remember. i almost forgot i was wearing it.” you’re confused now since you actually can’t remember who gave it to you. you stopped in your tracks, deep in thought trying to remember. “ah! i remember now, don’t worry about giving it to her. I can do that myself.” you exclaimed happily as you finally remembered the nice girl who lent it to you. she said it was her older brothers but she was always stealing his jackets and hoodies.
“oh good, i’m glad to hear that.” he smiled as you reached out to grab the jacket from his hands. he was relieved to hear that the jacket was from an innocent classmate of yours.
Hayato Suo ᡣ𐭩
as if anyone could even beat Suo into giving you a jacket before he does. Suo had already noticed the way your body was slightly trembling underneath the vent of the air conditioner. however, he also noticed another boy in the corner of his eye looking at you as well. he saw as the boy already begun taking off his jacket and making his way up to you. Suo suddenly felt this urge of territorial dominance creeping up as he wanted to show that you were his. before the boy could reach you Suo wrapped his arm around your chair and pulled your seat/desk closer to his.
“my poor baby, you’re cold. let me warm you up.” he offered with a smile before pulling you into his arms. your body instantly warmed up due to his own warmth. you happily accepted his offer as you buried yourself against his chest meanwhile he hugged you and rubbed your back with his warm hands.
Suo turned to look at the boy who already walked away after noticing you had a boyfriend to keep you warm. he let out a small sigh before keeping you huddled up on his side for the rest of class.
Akihiko Nirei ᡣ𐭩
he didn’t even realize the jacket you were wearing wasn’t yours. it looked so perfect and well fitted on you he actually thought nothing of it. the two of you were spending the whole day together and he said nothing about it. until you took it off and he noticed the name on the tag wasn’t yours.
“this isn’t your jacket?” he finally asked looking closer at it.
“oh no. it’s my friends, she let me borrow it after i forgot to bring mine.” you admitted slightly embarrassed you forgot to bring a jacket.
“i thought it was yours this whole time…” he paused, he was unsure of what to feel. should he be jealous? is it not a big deal? should he offer his instead? he decided to listen to his gut feeling. “are you still cold?”
“a little i guess, her jackets pretty thin so i can still feel the air through it.”
“here, take mine instead.”
“thank you.”
“of course! ask me for my jacket next time you’re cold, i have no problem giving it to you.” he smiled before taking your friends jacket and carrying it for you. Nirei didn’t actually care about you wearing someone else’s jacket as long as you weren’t cold, however, he still would prefer seeing you in his jacket before anyone else’s.
Jo Togame ᡣ𐭩
“take that thing off.” Togame wasted no time expressing his feelings about you wearing another man’s clothes. in all honesty, it irked him way more than he liked to admit. his mind was racing with thoughts of who would be stupid enough to give you their jacket, knowing that you’re his girlfriend.
“huh?? why? i’m cold.” you pouted not wanting to remove the soft material off of your body.
“it’s ugly, you don’t need it. take it off.” his voice was way more stern this time. a small part of you wanted to stand your ground and say no. however, a much larger and smarter part of you knew it was better not to. you took off the jacket with a frown before he snatched it away from your hands.
“wear this instead, my girlfriend shouldn’t go around wearing other men’s clothing.” he scolded while handing over his Shishitoren jacket to you. you wanted to argue but you couldn’t help blushing at his possessive behavior. it shouldn’t have such a strong affect on you but it does.
“who gave it to you anyways? give me a name.” he ordered while scoping out the jacket. it looked strangely familiar but he couldn’t exactly remember where he’s seen it before.
“it’s Choji’s jacket. he offered it to me and said I can keep it until I find you.” you answered with a bright smile. Choji’s gesture meant no harm since he was just trying to look out for his best friend’s girlfriend. he knew Togame wouldn’t have an issue if he knew it was his jacket. yes, you were well-aware of the fact that Togame was only mad because he thought it was someone else’s jacket.
“oh.” the realization settling in as his whole demeanor changed into something more relaxed.
“yes, oh.” you giggled. you could’ve told him sooner that it was Choji’s but where’s the fun in that?
“you called Choji’s jacket ugly.”
“shut up, you should’ve said something sooner.”
Choji Tomiyama ᡣ𐭩
Choji’s mood went from 100 to 0 real quick. his very bright and wide smile getting wiped off his face as his eyes landed on the jacket you were wearing. you tilted your head in confusion to his sudden mood shift. he was usually ecstatic to see you, you couldn’t help but sadden at the lack of emotion he was expressing towards you. were you two in the middle of a fight? had you argued with him and forgot? you didn’t know why he reacted like that. Choji walked up towards you and swiftly took off the jacket from your body. it happened so fast you couldn’t process what even happened. the emotion of confusion stayed in your body as he walked past you with the jacket thrown over his shoulder.
Choji made it his business as leader of Shishitoren to know everything and everyone. as soon as he saw that jacket on you he knew exactly who it belonged to. once you snapped back into reality you chased Choji down slightly worried about what he was planning to do. you found him with the guy who offered you the jacket by the Ori. you watched from a distance as Choji roughly chucked the jacket to the sitting boy’s face. the boy immediately stood up ready to defend himself.
“keep your filthy jacket to yourself and off my girlfriend from here on out.” Choji spat completely unamused by the whole situation. before the boy could even defend himself, Choji’s dark glare silenced him causing him to sit back down before muttering out a small “i understand.” he truly meant no harm by giving you his jacket but in hindsight he really should’ve known better than to do something so stupid. especially when considering you’re his leader’s girlfriend. Choji left it at that, it was his way of showing mercy and restraint.
“oh, you’re here.” he smiled once noticing you at the end of the street. before you could even respond he clashed himself against your lips roughly deepening the kiss as he practically shoved his tongue down your throat. you felt your face getting red, Choji typically wasn’t so affectionate in public, you knew he was doing this to prove a point. your grip tightened around his shirt before you pulled yourself off, small pants escaping from your lips.
“Cho-Choji you can’t just do that.” you argued extremely flustered.
“sorry! i forget you can get so shy, my pretty girl.” he smiled before softly giving you one more kiss. he had no doubt that the boy who gave you his jacket and his friends had all watched your little display of affection. he didn’t mind them watching, he wanted to remind everyone who exactly you belonged to. Choji wrapped an arm around your waist before pulling you closer as the two of you walked off.
