DP x DC Prompt: "Rematch"

Back when Jason was still a wee baby Robin, Bruce was in business negotiations with some company from out west. Jason wasn't paying attention to whatever it was that Bruce did during his day job, CEO is a boring job anyway, he wants to be a doctor or something so he can help people.

But he notices when Bruce starts acting strange.

It's subtle, yes, and Jason doesn't think most people would even notice something amiss, but he's Robin, he's Batman's partner, he knows Bruce better than anyone except maybe Alfred or Dick, but Alfred is on holiday in England for a week or two, and Dick is on one of his "no talking to Bruce unless the world ends" binges, so Jason really is the only one in a position to do anything.

It's up to Robin to save the day.

Jason investigates Bruce's comings and goings and the CEO of this potential new business partner of WE is kinda shady. He's slimy. Definitely keeping secrets. Jason dislikes this Vladimir Masters right away. Especially when it becomes apparent that he's doing something to Bruce during one of their business dinners that makes Bruce's eyes glaze over in a very worrying manner.

Jason is so not going to let this guy mess with his dad's mind.

It ends with Vlad being beaten up and chased out of Gotham by an enraged Robin. Bruce turns out to be fine and doesn't remember the incident. Jason doesn't tell him, just types up a report and files it in Bruce's archives. Alfred comes back from England, and Dick drops by again to steal Jason away for some brotherly bonding, and everything is fine.

Jason never forgets Vlad Masters and how he tried to manipulate Bruce. Not even a resurrection and a Lazarus pit swim will make him forget that guy.

So naturally, when he starts coming around the manor more and more, and hears that Vlad Masters is sniffing around Tim in hopes of manipulating WE's CEO, he is ready for round two. He's got a bone to pick, and he's bringing the big guns (All-Blades)

And if this round two happens at a gala where Sam Manson is present to see and capture the whole thing with her camera, well, Jason has gained a couple of fans back in Amity Park.

I had several attempts at a close up of Aiden and Milena, but drawing the damn carriage worked the best.

Okay but think of a villain, madly in love with his hero. So much so that he was changing his evil ways and becoming a better person and feeling genuine joy after so many years of pain and loneliness. He was reluctant at first but now the hero’s arms are the only place he feels completely safe in.

But to the hero it was only a plan to have him under control. And when they get what they want they just give him up to the authorities, betrayed, alone, possibly badly mistreated in prison. And he just stares, taking the kicks and punches without saying a word. Because of course that was bound to happen, he's a horrible criminal

Bonus if eventually hero regrets it and misses him and goes to save him but he already seems so broken

Prompt: Remembrance

What if ghosts lost most of their memories of their life before death. Sure, some like Sidney manage to keep theirs, but they're outliers.

What if, as time passes, Danny starts losing more and more memories about his life before the portal? Starts forgetting who his friends are, who his sister is, who his parents are, where he lives.

Forgets who Phantom used to be.

What if Jason met this quiet space nerd online back when he was Robin, who just disappeared one day. Jason wanted to find him, but everything with the Joker went down and he died.

When he comes back (and does his whole revenge plot) he realises his memories are shot because he can't remember a whole lot, but because he's alive again he manages to unearth some memories

And he realises he's probably far too late to help but he's gonna figure out what happened to his old online friend.

So Jason tracks him down to Amity and goes there, only to figure out that Danny died and became Phantom, who retreated into the Ghost Zone

And because he's a bat, he can't leave it alone, so he goes into the Ghost Zone to see if he can find Danny there. Maybe even jog a memory or two, though he holds out little hope for that.

After all, Jason doesn't remember being dead, so why would the dead remember being alive?

But Jason doesn't remember being dead, and he doesn't remember that when he was dead, he had struck up a friendship with a certain teen ghost, and even got to date him briefly before his resurrection

And Phantom never stopped searching for his missing Robin

Today's piece for @wof-october-prompts!! The prompt for today was silly. I considered doing Kinkajou because she is a pretty silly dragon, but then I thought about it

And you know who's really really silly? Sundew. She thinks she's being serious usually but her being ridiculous is absolutely adorable.

Abused royal Whumpee? Whumpee who is heir to the throne, but his parent passed away and kingdom is under a rule of regent until Whumpee is of age. But regent does not want to give away power and abuse Whumpee so he won't dare to go against them in the future. And fun part would be if Whumpee for example was starved and forced to sleep on the floor and beaten, but then all of the signs of abuse got covered up with pretty clothes and no one knows what Prince is going through. Bonus points if Whumpee is seen as spoiled. Whumpee is exhausted from spending night in cold cell and is taking breaks often and people see him as lazy. Or people see pretty clothes and say "you live in such luxury I bet you eat meat every day" and Whumpee does not even eat every day
