the fact that my parents know I'm a charmer™ and "play sweet" (my mom's words) makes visiting them really, really, really funny. idk if they can tell when I'm doing it on them vs being genuine (and idk if I can tell either a lot of the time) but it's patently obvious when I'm doing it to my grandmother because everyone else me incl talks shit about her when she's not around.
