I can’t believe I’m about to post in a main tag because some people cannot fathom that someone has a different interpretation of an actor’s action than them.

I have NEVER stated that bi Mike was incorrect. And I never will. I have NEVER stated I prefer gay Mike. And I never will. I am an RPer I write with all interpretations of Mike and all interpretations of Mike are valid.

However their are many interpretations of Mike. I am allowed to disagree with a public opinion posted in the public Will Byers tag (cause yes that is where I found a post about Mike’s reaction to El in s1 a scene in which Will is one, not present for, and two, not even thought of in).

I disagreed with a personal opinion with my own, and now through shade on their blog its will80sbyers it is being insinuated that I am not only a “Gay Mike truther” but crazy, and rude.

I said it was my opinion that I disagreed with theirs. I explained why. Media Literacy is important but it allows for different interpretations for example I took classes in media literacy, and convinced one of my professors that Terminator 2 was a Road Trip movie. Because that is how media literacy works, that is the basis of most English papers in high school and college, your interpretation of a work. And it may be different than someone else’s. You can disagree, and I did.

I stated what I thought. I was immediately laughed at by them, and then told I was wrong. Which is a trend I see on their blog, no matter how respectful you are of their opinions on bi or gay Mike if you don’t agree they will get defensive and tell you you are wrong.

I’m not going to apologize because again I never invalidated bi Mike, I just said my interpretation of the pretty scene is different, and it is. You give a girl a makeover everyone’s mouths drop it is trope at this point. I will say I am sorry I ever stated my opinion on a public post in a tag about Will Byers when the post had nothing to do with Will Byers, disagreeing with another opinion as is a normal thing to do.

If you cannot take someone may disagree with your interpretation of a scene, NOT OF IF MIKE IS BI OR NOT, a scene, then your problem is not with me, but with yourself and how highly you hold yourself. You are a big influence in the fandom and being so vehemently shady and mean to people who disagree with you is a bad look.

I did block you because despite trying to end the conversation with an agree to disagree you would not let it rest. I will miss your posts because I genuinely enjoy your analysis even if I don’t always agree with it. But your behavior towards me and frankly others who also disagree with some of your opinions is not something that I want in my life. I wish you the absolute best.

If any of you have a problem with what I said. my askbox is open, please take it up with me and be direct instead of being shady and underhanded.

Asnnxxbdberhxbdb okay.... going by Abby's hc that Will is a music snob- his taste DOESN'T BUDGE. 80s PURIST. But imo he's not one- so um PROJECTION TIME bc I don't actually know that many famous ppl if I personally don't listen to their music. The Aubreys? Idrk they're a little quieter than Will likes but I think it's cool idle music during hw for him. His painting music though, THAT'S where the louder stuff gets to shine. Not that I know any bc my music is entirely composed of Dodie, egg, etc. I do have one playlist in my liked ones that someone else made for Will which is only MCR, hence the conclusion that Will is an MCR fan. And um NOAHFINNCE I think, bc I can apparently think of two artists ever who sing above 2dbs and the other one is Jojo Siwa. I remember her music having a super positive message though, so idfk maybe he likes Jojo Siwa. In all seriousness I think he probably likes alot of 80's artists but for the ✨️vibes✨️ and not snob reasons, but he does partake in the occasional Taylor Swift Van Window Cry. Twinning ofc with El's Olivia Rodrigo Bus Window Cry (but her fan-ness carries over to waking up to Brutal and playing Jealousy, Jealousy on repeat).

Mike... he can just have my taste it's fine. Sushi Soucy, Malinda, and Backseat Vagabond. Well not identical to me but close. He also listens to movie soundtracks like a loser (read: me). Ik Kaye/Panick would want me to bring up HTTYD ofc and it SLAYS. I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't mention Into the Spiderverse (dontmakeawheelerversereferencedontmakeawhee). He also loves the Stranger Things scores (Don't think too hard) and uses it to set the mood for his DnD campaigns.

I agree!! I totally bought Leia as an overly sheltered/coddled kid of a well-intentioned but overbearing Eric (reeled in by Donna), who was itching to get away for the first time and have some adventure - and I think she found it. I see a bunch of different directions they could take this in future seasons and feel cautiously optimistic about the show’s future but, ya know, it’s Netflix so... we’ll see. 🤷‍♀️

The pace was a little fast for me - the Jay/Leia stuff felt sped up or like they progressed physically from Leia not knowing how to kiss a boy to being way comfortable with it - but that’s obviously a constraint of the shorter season. I don’t feel like they’re pushing some “Leia and Jay are soulmates” crap, at all, so the tone matches the pace and maturity level so far. Would like to know more (wouldn’t we always, as fans?), but the glimpses we got into side characters like Ozzie and Nikki were intriguing and made me wan to know more about them.

I call for a season 2!

Leia is a 15 year old that is looking for validation from her friends at the start of the season, she was coddled by Eric and Donna all her life until she met this group of kids, she can grow a lot if they make other seasons and I think this show has great potential to explore all of the characters better and make them feel more real while still being a funny show, I think we can see some glimpses of seriousness already and I personally loved it, it felt familiar but new at the same time and it was able to make me love all of the new characters even with only this introduction

this is bout to be cheesy but stick with me

so yk the battle is happening and will decides to fight vecna head on(with his new found hero complex) and mike is tryna talk him out of it but will is already on his way towards vecna. mike runs to catch up with will and grabs his hand. will turns to mike and smiles but tries to get him to let go of his hand. mike starts tearing up and whispers “i can’t go to your funeral again..” “you don’t have to.” will whispers back and let’s go of mike’s hand, walking further towards vecna. “I LOVE YOU!” mike suddenly shouts with the swirl of emotions overflowing out of him. will stops walking and fully turns around. then, he runs towards mike and cups his cheeks. “really?” will whispers “really.” mike whispers back and they have a little forehead touch before they softly kiss.

I really think the show should've touched on the trauma that seeing his dead little brother's body had on Jonathan.

Whilst he found out Will was alive later, he genuinely believed his little brother was gone forever. I cannot believe that wouldn't have deeply impacted Jonathan, especially considering his protection of Will is one of his core character traits.

Once Will was not in Hawkins anymore, Mike was going crazy, being a bit of a rebel, his room being messy etc, then once he sees Will again in Cali, he starts to become sweet and gentle again, uses the "Will voice" again, and now that Will is back in Hawkins, as we can see in the new bts photo of Mike sitting in his room, his room looks more cleaner and not messy like in season 4, I think that's so beautiful that there trying to tell us that if Will isn't with Mike, Mike becomes crazy and that nice gentle puppy side of him is gone, he's struggling, but when Will is there Mike always becomes a better person 😍😍😍 Will brings out the best in him 💙💛💙💛
