Still so mad we didn't get to a scene of Jonathan being a mommy to all the boys and taking pictures of ALL of them together in their halloween costumes

At least the writers show hes the mom when taking pictures of Will though. All the moms are taking pictures of their kids in their costumes in that scene, but not Joyce. Jonathan is Will's mom in that scene.

But I just keep imagining Jonathan getting out of the car with Will in the scene where he drops him off to go trick or treating with the boys and the four boys are posing multiple times giggling and having a blast while Jonathan takes pictures of them doing silly playful poses. And Jonathan is smiling and giggling too at how silly they're being and shows how much he loves his children. The Duffers keep robbing us!!!!

Then again maybe he is the one that took pictures of the boys together in those costumes cause there is a picture of it shown in S3 before smashes Castle Byers. But we still didn't see the scene of Jonathan hanging out with the boys taking pictures so..

Hot take: romanticizing Mike’s every reaction to Will’s disappearance in season 1 devalues his other friends’ reactions or equal severity just different.

Yes, Mike refused to believe Will was dead - like Joyce

But Lucas refused to believe he was alive because he could not handle false hope

Dustin was immediately open to the supernatural at the hope that - though he logically knew that they saw Will’s body - they could still have him somehow in their lives.

They all had different responses and though Mike’s could have had some romantic factors to it it isn’t because it was inherently more severe or he loves Will more. 

In general, it always bugs me when “loving someone MORE” is equated to loving them romantically. Romantic and platonic are ways of loving someone, not quantities.
