Roy always tells it like it is :D It’s not so much Anita: He has a long-running problem with what Joël does for a living; he thinks he’s wasting his life. He said a lot harsher things to him here about his job, lulz! But it’s also a smokescreen to disguise what he’s really feeling; he will often resort to verbally lashing out at Joël when he feels threatened or angry or upset. And Joël knows this.

Lulz at least you’re honest, Angie!! But if you’re REALLY interested, the whole point of this post/chapter was to try and give a bit of an insight into how close Roy feels to Joël, even if he can’t properly express it and has to mask it with verbal abuse, and it was also a lead-up to Roy letting off steam by going to the hospital to knock Tom’s teeth out. Oh and also to show how Joël is still walking on eggshells a little bit around Anita. I can’t help you with Anita though. Half the time I don’t know myself!

Tell like it is Roy! Also interesting is that Joel has taken note of  "Anita’s artificially calm demeanor", interesting.

They are still tip-toeing around each other and not being 100% themselves; they are still each on their best behaviour, like it’s a completely new relationship. But Joël knows full well that Anita would be hanging onto every word of his conversation with Roy, and he is shitting himself he’s going to slip up and say the name Megan (or Georgina...not that the name means anything to Anita, but she would question him over it, and we all know Joël is a terrible liar) ;=)

The name ‘Megan’ carries dreadful connotations for Anita- in fact she would say, if pressed, that Megan is at least partially to blame for she and Joël’s break up 5 years ago, and her emails to Joël part of the reason behind Anita’s drunken decision to have sex with her co-worker Danny. The words ‘amazing rack’ have no connotations for Anita at all. 

I suppose as well that Joël is desperate not to let anything ruin their reconciliation....it’s been such a long time coming!! ;=)

Decorating Help!

I’m super happy and excited that I’ve gotten so much interest already to help furnish! I was not prepared for everyone to volunteer their services so quickly so I need to churn out a couple more shells. When I get 10 (since that’s the amount of pictures I can post, lol), I will make a post with each house numbered, with the basic details listed, and then send you the house you pick.

It will be a first come, first serve basis on which house you get. If you do not get a house in the first round, do not worry! There will be more to come!

Well I am neither, I need them for gameplay. I need my students to sit down and listen to the teacher. I use this mostly for the theory part of the cooking class, because then they can actually learn cooking from it.

Well it’s gotta happen sooner or later, right?? I’ve been writing stories about my legacy sims for a few years now (on Blogger, not Tumblr) and I always struggle to find a reason why my sims end up pregnant. It being a legacy should be a good enough reason.

I know this was addressed to Pru, but the answer is no mystery, and the French guy is not actually French, but Belgian. (Coby is not so good with the European countries and keeping them straight. And referring to him constantly as ‘the French guy’ is a not-so-subtle dig at him.) Like Coby, Rainier is one of the characters in my story, and Coby was just referring to events in his life that are going on over here.

Heather’s troubles:

Time for Heather to move house I think :'(

Yeah, that may come up in the story, and it will be very sad for her. The house was her grandmother’s, and Heather has a lot of treasured memories there. But unfortunately, the memory of shooting her ex there is the one memory she can’t escape.

There’s also a bunch of real world type issues I have to think about for take that on, to decide if I even want to address them. A ‘murder house’ often has difficulties selling, or has to drop in price to sell, and Heather would also lose the Prop 13 tax protections (A strictly CA property owner’s issue that is probably too boring and obscure to bring into a Sims story blog, lol) meaning she’d be paying a much higher property tax on any new property she bought than she does here. And she currently is not paying a mortgage as this house is long paid off. Also, she doesn’t have a real job at the moment, so the chance of getting a bank loan is probably nil. So, she might just be stuck where she is, or have to rent. Which would suck.

Damn, her mental health is suffering so much (understandably so). Difficult to know how to help when she can't exactly talk to a professional about it...

Yeah, Heather’s mental health has been taking a lot of hits. She was definitely suffering some untreated PTSD after the attack and robbery in her dispensary, and that mental state is what caused her to shoot Desmond when he came to her house after he got out of jail, which in turn has really messed with her head even further. She is going to therapy sessions, but you are right, she can’t really talk about killing her ex, because Ulises officially took responsibility for that, so the therapy can’t really get to the heart of the issue. Though hopefully it will help at least a little.

You convert the sims3pack to a package file. Then open and save it with s3pe as a .world file. Then put it in the directory that Wilky12 said.

No, not as .packages. You can extract them firstly as .packages but you need to open them in S3PE and save as .world and then put them in the actual game folders (not the mods folder). I wouldn't really recommend doing it with store worlds though

Thanks to all of you I got it to work right! I had no idea S3PE could save a package as a WORLD file before. The more you know!

It’s not that I can’t install worlds through the Launcher, I just prefer not to have to deal with that thing. Why?

A year or so ago, I was having weird game issues. Ran it through Delphy’s Dashboard - several simpacks are in conflict. So I’m thinking, why? Are they store conversions? I don’t have any of those in simpack format.

Turned out, literally every non-EA simpack was conflicting.  Normal stuff, like Kijiko hairs, Lorandia clothing, that stuff. As soon as I turned those things into Package format - the problem went away.

So, yeah, the Launcher and I do not get along.

Oh Eleanor... Justin is not one to deprive himself of what he needs. I think it's sad that she still doesn't get that pushing her and helping her and just being with her really does make him happy.

I love all your different perspectives on their relationship. Blythelyre got a really great grasp on Justin’s perspective, but Eleanor’s doubts are also very valid. He could a much better job of communicating, which is something he’s not very good at.
