#wilbur soot sucks

So remember how a few days ago our Wilbur Soot fictive (he's now called Ashen) came from dormancy?

Turns out, 10 others came out of dormancy as well, all old DSMP fictives and now we have to deal with a WHOLE LOT of confused alters who used to identify with their sources, but now have either dead, shitty, or cancelled sources. Idfk where Bleu is, and Scynth is probably dormant. Our fronting rhythm is out of wack. This is going to take a while to sort out, including updating our simply plural members.

Just wanted to love this post sm.

We have multiple introjects from the more. Uh. Problematic, members of the DSMP. Ofc, the non-dormant creatures have separated from their sources because the fact that their sources distressed them sm. Our Wilbur Soot fictive changed his name and appearance in-sys. Our Schlatt fictive changed their name to 'Latte' (he did not like the jokes current Schlatt makes and finds them crude). They've been much happier since then.

Shoutout to fictives who don't want to/can't separate from their sources because it's a very big part of their identity, even if they feel that they should because their source is problematic.

Hey! Introjects are not their source. Regardless of what Jschlatt did (of which I genuinely know nothing about), an introject shouldn’t have to carry the burden of their source’s actions.

Furthermore, it’s incredibly healthy honestly for an introject to distance themselves from their source and not care about it. Removing the box would simply reinforce the idea that introjects need to associate and claim their source as part of them, rather than distancing themselves away from it.

(Also… read the box. That’s the whole point of it. The user doesn’t care. They don’t need to care. Genuinely confused by this ask, ngl.)

Kudos to introjects who can step away and not give a shit about their source 👍 You’re the real ones.

good god do not go on fucking twt rn, people are looking through past tommy and wilbur clips and speculating that tommy was abused as well (whether he was or not is not important right now, don't speculate about his personal life when he's not even online to correct anyone, for the love of god can we focus on shelby), or pushing phil, tommy, jack, charlie, quackity, etc. to say something asap as if they're not probably processing the fact that one of their very good friends has been an abusive piece of shit this entire time.

i don't think that i will ever talk about dsmp meta to the degree that i used to ever again. idk i feel wilbur soot's absence so heavily in fanworks and in what the content creators are doing too. so many parts that would've included him clearly cut from tommy's live show, so many deleted fanworks that are unrecoverable, it's just this big insanely depressing black hole and blank space that makes it hard to continue to be part of this community or want to engage with anything here when so much has been stripped away. it feels like there's barely anything left. and what's left is unrecognizable

It is crushing to have to say, that Sun, known as @sundial-at-night​ in the community, passed away on 19th of February, from heart failure. She went in her sleep.

Sun was amazing in every way. Her power of will - unmatched. Her energy - literally sunshine. What ever she pursued, she dedicated her entire self to. She found joy in all corners of the life that was unfair to her since birth. She had big beautiful plans.

Being connected to people via fandoms, creating and being recognised was crucial in the last years of her life. Sun fought hard to escape the choking confines of the culture she grew up in, every word of hers you’re reading is an achievement in ways you don’t know. She didn’t get enough time to run away physically, in the end, but her mind and her art was free.

Every piece of her that is left in any one of her readers' minds is priceless. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for perceiving her, for giving her feedback, for leaving a like, for making her smile, for making her happy. 

We were each other's soulmates and future. She was the love of my life. She inspired me like no one before her did, and most prominent instances weren't even fandom related. Sun made me want to fight for a life I was excited to live. That fight is gone, now. But I want her stories to be forever.
