It's funny really, how much the children have taken from their adoptive parents.
How looking at them is something akin to looking in a mirror.
Chayenne who is eerily similar to Philza with the same blue hair and blue eyes, the same nose, but whose smile is all Missa's. Who loves deeply, like them both, who likes cooking and avoids larger crowds, who has no time for people's bullshit, who likes stories, farming potatoes and training with his weapons.
Ramon whose tiny smile is a carbon copy of Fit's, something precious to be cherished like the gift it is. Who is clever and resourceful and focused on what really matters, hardworking to a fault.
Leonarda with Vegetta's purple eyes and Foolish's cheekbones and nose. Leo who is creative and protective, who will defend her loved ones with everything she has, who wants pretty things and nice buildings in her name, who enjoys the good things in life.
Dapper who is his father's copy, who proudly display the demonic traits many hide in shame, the midnight skin, the white eyes, the little horns. Dapper who is clever, who likes to play with the obscure, who collects animals, who is fiercely protective of her loved ones.
Tallulah who may as well be Wilbur's copy as well, the same curly brown hair, the same big dark eyes, whose smile is just the tiniest bit crooked, exactly like Phil's. Tallulah who loves music so very deeply, who is passionate and puts her heart into her projects.
It's tragic really, how much the children have taken from their adoptive parents.
How looking at them is something akin to looking in a mirror.
Chayenne who is the oldest. The little warrior, his father’s son in bravery and courage and protectiveness, Chayenne who has taken the role of the protector without having to be told.
Chayenne, who is his fathers’ son. Who hides his insecurity and his fear because he cannot allow himself to appear weak or scared because all the siblings are looking at him for comfort, for guidance. Chayenne who takes every single thing gone wrong as a signal of his failure, of his weakness, who fear every single day that his siblings, that his parents, are going to look at him and see the scared little boy who cannot save his siblings, who failed them so many times and just keeps on failing.
And that they will realize he is not worth their time or their love.
Chayenne who is his father’s son and cannot put those insecurities into words, who cannot talk about them because they are his burden to care, because his parents and siblings have more important things to care about, because he is the oldest and he is not suppose to give them reasons to worry, he is supposed to be strong and reliable.
He has never been taught to be honest about his fears, he has watched as his father takes on the responsibility of taking care of another child by himself without a word of protest, he has watched as he father held his emotions close to his chest and he has learned to do the same.
Chayenne like his father Missa, who believes he is not worth of their love unless he proves it with his actions, who is scared of failure as much as he is scare of trying, who struggles with what he truly wants to do, with the childish urges to just have fun, to just ask for a hug or to cry in the embrace of a loved one, and the believe of what he thinks he must do, stay strong and brave and keep his siblings safe so that they do not share his pain, so that they know they are loved and appreciated and that they are safe with him.
Leonarda who shares her pa Foolish's loneliness.
Leonarda who has so very few people she feels like she can trust, so very few people she believes would even care to look at her twice, and who has lost, on multiple occasions, those people, who has felt alone and scared too many times to count.
She hides her feelings deep inside even when it hurts, can't bear to expose them to the world because she knows how easily the world will step on them, how easily they will laugh at her or even ignore her pain because they are so very used to not thinking about her at all. Leo who clings to her loved ones with protective fierceness, even with jealousy, because she has so very few of them.
Just a child, a child like the others, yet most of the time people don't seem to take her seriously, just like they don't take her pa seriously, Leonarda who just like her pa Vegetta feels like she must step up as the protector, that she has to take charge into protecting the one person who has always seem and understood her, who will put him above everyone else because she knows that they will never be anyone's else priorities.
Lonely little girl with her lonely silly father, waiting for a ghost, surviving on memories.
Dapper who is the victim of sins that don't belong to her. Dapper, forever burdened by actions they didn't take, a child punished by the sins of the father. A child, who will gladly take the burden of pain if that means his sister and father will remain safe and unharmed.
Dapper who trusts very few people, Dapper who like her father keeps her plans to herself, who wants to fix things with his own hands, who doesn't want others to be sucked into their plans, who doesn't want anyone to ever be hurt for their sake, Dapper who loves so very deeply but who like the man who raises him do not know how to trust, how to let others help.
A child, so familiar with death. A child, so understanding that everything comes to an end, so utterly aware that her time is counted and all the implications of it. A child, like her father, so connected with death, a child who does not fear death, but rather the consequences of his passing will have on the ones he loves the most. A child, who never puts himself as a priority in his plans, a child who always thinks about the bigger picture, who hides her pain and his fears because they are not as important as getting the results.
Ramon who is so serious, so comically serious, a child who tries to behave so much older than his years. Ramon who doesn't like to be sentimental, who doesn't like to talk about mushy things, who doesn't even call Fit "dad" even if he has loved him since the beginning.
A child forced to grow up so quickly. A child with adult's fears. A child who wants to make plans for his father in case one day he wouldn't be here to take care of Fit anymore, who wants him to have other people.
Ramon who will show his love in little gestures, in short phrases he will pretend he never said after, who like Fit tackles emotions like dangerous mobs, who don't know how to tame the storm that breeds inside his chest, who doesn't know how to express the vulnerability that lays inside him, who would rather kill that part of himself. Ramon who loves, heavens, how much does he love, and he will show it in his actions, he will show it by putting himself in front of his sisters when there is danger close, he will show it by watching their favorite movies without complaining, he will show it by helping his father, he will show it in silent companionship, he will show it in tiny little smiles.
Ramon who loves so much, so deeply, Ramon who doesn't believe he has done anything to earn the same love back, Ramon who thinks he has to give and give and give to deserve the love that he has never realized is freely given. Ramon who is too much like Fit to recognize his own importance, his own worth, Ramon who, like Fit, doesn't think he could be loved simply by who he is.
Tallulah who understands her papi now.
That recognizes she was just a silly little girl when they met for the first time, who dreamed of the impossible. Stupid for ever thinking that her love alone would be enough, that she could love enough for both herself and Wilbur.
She couldn't, of course she couldn't. Wilbur didn't belong to the Island, like herself he was too big for this place, unable to lay down his roots, a leaf in the wind just passing by with no intention of ever building a home, or staying in the same place for too long.
It's not his fault, she tries to tell herself when rage builds a nest inside her heart, it's not his fault his calling is elsewhere, it's not his fault he cannot stand to be locked up, that he has the freedom everyone else dies and kills for. He tried, he warned her, but Tallulah had been alone and afraid, a silly little girl who believed in fairy tales, who believed she could be loved as fiercely as she longed to love another.
(That is something they share as well, not that Tallulah knows it- They love deeply, herself and Wilbur, they cling to love with desperation, trying to fill an unending void that lives inside their hearts, an emptiness that comes from never feeling like you are someone's priority, that comes from never fitting anywhere.)
Her love alone could not hold them together exactly how no one's love can hold her together now.
Tallulah who is her father's daughter, who is shaped not by his presence but rather by the empty spot he left in her heart, one that cannot be filled by anyone else, no matter how much they may love her.
Children, forced to grow up too fast, too quickly. Children who learned so much from their parents.

Thank you for being a manga fan of Elfen Lied, that isn't just some blind ass kisser of Lynn Okamoto, and feels that the story could have been done much more justice if it was created by a much better creator.
Proud to represent this apparent minority, lol. I always feel so conflicted about Elfen Lied because I want to defend it (as it's a series that left a huge impact on me and still informs a lot of my OC worldbuilding) but at the same time I have to acknowledge that Lynn Okamoto wasn't competent enough to be the one who told the story. So many of Elfen Lied's flaws can be tied back to Okamoto being a shitty writer.
There's actually a video about Elfen Lied by an amazing creator named Hazel. Something that's always stuck with me about that video is learning how Lynn Okamoto was trying to create his own Love Hina (which explains the pseudo-harem going on in Elfen Lied). And apparently, both in Japan and abroad, fans were overwhelmingly more interested in the conspiracy and intrigue of the Diclonii than in the relationship drama between Kouta and Yuka. But oops, Lynn Okamoto cares way more about the harem shit than in any of the cool ideas he probably accidentally came up with.

Absolutely hate that the canon in BG3 is being edited into the Forgotten Realms wikia by people. That is NOT my canon. At least put it in a different section.

DE-YASSIFYS MY GOLDIE??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Case #108 of Viv having to explain the inspirations behind a character design on social media when there are hardly any indication of those features in said design.
Tumblr media
A chicken…..really?? Look me in my face and tell me that ANY part of her design reminds you of a chicken.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this point, either Viv is making shit up or she’s that terrible at designing humanoid characters with animal-like features.
If people can’t figure out the inspirations for your character designs without you having to tell them, you have a problem!

A rambling analysis about Aaravos as a whole
Post Season 6, the enigma that is Aaravos FINALLY got a deeper dive into his character and backstory and we finally know three important things, (in my opinion) that are critical when creating a character in any form of media:
1. Motivations
2. Goal(s)
3. What’s keeping those goals from being fulfilled
1. motivations
it’s obvious that his motivation to everything he does is his love for Leola, and how he’s coping with being bereaved of his child. In addition, I’d also like to address that his second motivation is for a world unlike the one the Cosmic Order and the Archdragons desire. Obviously, what I mean is the cycle of violence itself- and yes, Aaravos continues the cycle, but he’s also trying to break it with his startouch ability of prophetic visions, or how season 6 puts it, “becoming time blind.”
Tumblr media
Due to this ability, I think Aaravos instigated the Battle of the Storm Spire and manipulated Viren to make it happen because he wanted to force the elves and humans to unite under one cause. On the other hand, it can be argued that “actually Aaravos is only causing harm, just look at Lux Aurea,” and of course that seems like the easiest explanation for his actions, but I think I can refute that claim.
By corrupting Lux Aurea, he knew that by doing so, it would be enough to motivate the elves into a confrontation with Viren and the rest of the human kingdoms + their armies. Yes, Aaravos did say, “do you want to conquer Xadia?” To Viren, but I believe that that was merely a way to goad him into conflict, and it shouldn’t be taken seriously because that’s not one of Aaravos’s intentions or legitimate goals.
2. Goal(s)
Like I said before, Aaravos isn’t planning on conquering Xadia, he’s obviously planning on avenging his deceased daughter, by killing (presumably) everyone who approved of Leola’s execution. Sol Regem was killed, and now as season 7 approaches, the Cosmic Order is next. Knowing that only a startouch elf can kill another startouch elf- according to the TDP Wikia page, it’s obvious that this is what he’s planning on accomplishing.
Tumblr media
The season 7 summary states that he’s planning on, “inverting life and death,” which to me seems like he’s attempting to revive Leola in some incredible feat of magic. Deep magic?
Putting his personal issues aside, when it comes to Xadia itself, Aaravos is planning on restoring the solidarity between East and West Xadia, and mending the continent as a whole, and he’s doing it through people like Janai.
As a character who is merciful, Janai is a revolutionary figure who struggles with also healing the old wounds between the dragon and elven part of Xadia and the human part of Xadia. Her perception of peace and mercy is why I believe that Aaravos is in a tandem mindset with her and wishes to keep her as a reigning monarch in Lux Aurea, or she would’ve been dead by now.
The Sunfire monarchs are influential historical figures- look to Sol Regem, whose hatred for humanity no doubt influenced the outcome of segregating humans into the west. And Aditi, whose voice was enough to motivate the succession conflict from tearing Xadia apart.
When Aaravos haunts Janai in her dreams, it’s a threat, but it’s also a warning. It’s him challenging her to either become her grandmother, “your just like your grandmother,” and also to beware of her fate, lest it become Janai’s as well, “I swallowed her,” S5EP9. Because Aaravos disapproved of Aditi’s actions and influence, he’s trying to use fear to control Janai and keep her from becoming her grandmother before her. By that, Aditi may have been a “wise and trusted leader,” according to Zubeia, but I think she was also a cruel leader who had a skewed perception of mercy, (just look to Kim’Dael.)Yes, Aditi wanted to restore peace, but one act of benevolence (ending the succession crisis,) isn’t enough to justify one act of “mercy.” (Kim’Dael’s Mercy Debt)
3. What’s keeping those goals from being fulfilled:
I’ll keep this one short, but it’s clear that The Cosmic Order itself is keeping him from accomplishing this goal. During the trial, Aaravos couldn’t stand up alone to them with his actions and thus resorted to verbal confrontation in order to convince the council to let Leola go. This didn’t work, and despite how powerful he is, Aaravos couldn’t forcefully use magic to prevent the council from killing Leola. With season 7 coming up, I think he’ll try to get The Merciful One to ally with him against the other members of the council. As much as he hates them for having Leola killed, perhaps Aaravos can convince TMO into regretting their decision in condemning Leola and to help stand up to the rest of the Cosmic Council, since TMO is the only one to have approached Aaravos post trial, probably due to a now shattered friendship.
That’s all for now! I might make a part two going more into depth, but this is it, thanks to anyone for reading my unintelligent yapping :)

Dungeons and Daddies Wiki Drama: A Greek Tragedy Told through the Medium of Forum Posts (Part 2)
Act 2: The Wax Melts, The Sea Beckons
In which the wings begin to fall apart.
Despite the drama unfolding over the November admin discussion post, wiki life continued. User posts showed cracks in the foundation. Something was rotten in the state of Wikia.
November 6th, 2023:
Tumblr media
November 9th, 2023:
Tumblr media
It seems that the administrators were deleting pages, instituting rigid new rules about how long a post could stay unfinished (and, apparently, what qualified as unfinished).
Enter anonymous wiki user Chekovsnakess.
November 23rd, 2023:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chekovsnakess pointed out the issue inherent in the deletions- moderators wanted more people to engage with the wiki, but what's the point, when the page will get nuked?
Chekovsnakess: "The wiki feels more of the admins' wiki rather than a community wiki."
The admins didn't take well to this critique.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TwoRatner: "In no way have we, the admins, been hostile."
TheOneTrueGod41: "It can't be unprofessional if we absolutely mean it."
PawnSum: "Uh, you can't type fast or something? I can, so that shouldn't be a problem."
Also, iconic quote from PawnSum: "I literally broke my ankle and couldn't get home, so I understand what pain is."
PawnSum makes a good point- only they, a wiki editor experiencing mild criticism and a broken ankle, could ever understand true pain.
Tumblr media
Opening a paragraph with "you also don't seem to understand that your opinions aren't facts" and closing it with "Please stop leaving and just stay!"
A masterpiece of salesmanship. Glenn and his high Persuasion rolls could only hope to reach the levels of charisma displayed by wiki administrator TwoRatner.
Other iconic TwoRatner quotes:
"Admins are like princiPALS after all, or a nice janitor."
"You want me to quick my job? I can't! I already paid for the funeral and now I need more money to feed my family."
After this, Chekovsnakess remained silent, perhaps choosing to disengage from fandom wiki drama and move on with their life. An unthinkable choice, to be sure.
More users turned to the forums to express frustrations with the wiki, falling on the administrator's deaf ears.
November 29th, 2023:
Tumblr media
December 3rd, 2023:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With this, we segue to the moderator response to wiki user critiques: splitting the wiki into two websites with separate mod teams, one for season 1 of the podcast and one for season 2.
In haunting Anakin-like fashion, TwoRatner says "I promise to bring about a satisfying future to this wiki." A promise they would be unable to live up to.
December 2nd, 2023:
Tumblr media
TwoRatner's attempt to bring peace to their new empire wiki would first involve mysterious user Largeo and a separation on par with the Great Church Schism of 1054. Equally important decisions with equally worldwide consequences.
TwoRatner made the generous decision to put this up for a community vote, with only one dissenter: Zilstreet.
Tumblr media
Zilstreet pointed out the obvious criticism: wouldn't splitting a wiki for a single show between two different places make it confusing for casual browsers? What about characters that appear in both seasons? Was there a specific game plan?
This was met with a measured, thoughtful response from the administrators.
Tumblr media
"When life gives you grapefruit, you make grapefruit pellets to shoot at your friends, because plastic pellets hurt." -HungerBunger, December 5th 2023
How dare Zilstreet not take into account HungerBunger's trauma and exercises in extending trust???
"It's very obvious. We clearly thought about this."
Indeed.
Tumblr media
More users with suspiciously similar speech patterns chime in to support TwoRatner's proposal.
Interestingly, MotPot brings up jazz unprompted. Where have we seen that before? Honic Washington and The One True God 41, in Part 1.
Clearly, there must be a lot of overlap between jazz fans and D&D podcast wiki editors.
Tumblr media
Marth8204 came out swinging, telling Zilstreet that they should be ashamed for having the audacity to ask questions about a drastic site change, but seemed pacified by TwoRatner's warning to "tone it down a bit."
Tumblr media
TwoRatner imposed a deadline for users to vote on the change.
FunderStun also came out swinging- this time, against Gaycowboyrats (featured in Part 1) and... Amber Heard? Then they delivered this line: "There is no savior, so we have to be."
Again, poetry.
And again, I'd like to put a pin in the Gaycowboyrats reference.
Tumblr media
Thus ended the split discussion thread, leaving me with more questions than answers.
Nicoh Watonshing seems to be referring to wiki security breaches. Was this an ongoing issue? Were admins getting hacked? If so, by whom? What could hackers possibly want from the wiki?
What happened between Brazil86 and TwoMarshall? What did Brazil86 do wrong? Are there any words in the English language that can strike as much fear in one's heart as "abnormally long Discord call"?
Note the TwoMarshall brother reference: this is very similar to references made by TwoRatner to a brother that died. How coincidental.
This period of forum volatility closely follows the themes established in Act 1: a strict, opaque sense of wiki justice, wiki moderator power as a status more important than wiki functionality, calling for more community engagement while largely ignoring community engagement when it happened, and making drastic changes in response to real or perceived wiki problems.
Here, we see more new administrator names pop up in the forums with similar styles of speech and occasional non-sequiturs, even after Honic Washington's (apparent) departure.
Here, we see new discontent in the moderator ranks- some apparent failure by Brazil86, and its severe consequences with TwoMarshall.
Here, we see two moderators (TwoRatner and TwoMarshall) with similar brother-related situations. Did TwoRatner switch accounts? Was this related to the alleged security breaches in the wiki?
Despite being active in the forums and wiki at large before this, Gaycowboyrats is now conspicuously absent except for the reference by FunderStun, who wants to remove Gaycowboyrats from his position of influence and "free" the fandom.
Has the Dungeons and Daddies wiki been subject to some kind of administrator security breach and subsequent overthrow, resulting in a schism?
Life seems to be giving this wiki a lot of grapefruit.
And when life gives you grapefuit, you make grapefruit pellets to shoot your friends.
Chorus:
Tumblr media
A statement from Zil Street.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interim attempts at community engagement by the administrators.
Stay tuned for part 3 tomorrow with the thrilling conclusion of the wiki split saga!

Did some calculation using the timeline on the Wikia and figured out that, out of the 1223 days that comprised the Hephaestus mission, Eiffel and Minkowski spent roughly 298 days as friends. That's ten months spread out over a three and half year period. Excluding the first five hundred days of the mission before the Christmas mutiny, the six months Eiffel was MIA, the three months Minkowski spent avoiding him post "Need to Know", the month after that when she was digesting the news, and the two weeks between "Shut Up and Listen" and "Constructive Criticism" when Eiffel avoided everyone.
I don't have any real commentary to add, just that it's incredible that given how pivotal this relationship is to the podcast (I remember Urbina or one of the writers once said that Wolf 359 is about conversations between Minkowski and Eiffel), they spend only about a quarter of the mission together and not at odds with one another.

I've seen a lot of people say Mission: Yozakura Family is like KHR but better, and since I am quite critical of KHR's numerous flaws, I was inclined to believe this was true on some level, even though I had little interest in the series based on the synopsis and art style. But then I saw someone say it was because the protagonist is ostensibly better than Tsuna because he has more development... At this point I am suspicious. I won't write a full post asserting anything as fact unless I end up actually watching/reading the series myself, but after going down the Wikia rabbit hole... I find that very hard to believe...

One criticism I have of the Homestuck Wikia, is the fact that Dad Egbert and Dad Crocker are combined into one page. Yes, they look the same and have a lot of the same traits, but one is the genetic child of Nanna and the never really mentioned Mr. Egbert, while the other is the genetic child of Poppop and some lady.
Therefore Dad Egbert is Nanna (Jane’s) son and Jegbert’s genetic half-sibling,
Dad Crocker is Poppop (Jegbert’s) son, and Jane’s genetic grandson.
Plus their outcomes are very different. Dad Egbert dies while Dad Crocker lives and goes to the new universe.

hey there. I saw this reblog of yours with (https://www.tumblr.com/crazykuroneko/752071403257348096/not-me-being-emotional-over-this-because-this-is?source=share) with pages of one of the books. have you read all of the books and if yes in what order should i read them?
Have I read all the books? The answer is no lol. I wish I could read them really, but first person POV and walls of text are my biggest literary pet-peeves, and Anne Rice did them a lot. I tried to read the mangas illustrated novels but I got traumatized after seeing the visual of Loustat hunting slaves (yet there are people demanding an accurate book adaptation 😭). Maybe one day I will start with the audiobooks but idk. However, I ate up all the wikia entries and old Tumblr posts on the novels, and I have all the novels in my phone so I could crosscheck the series and the novel at any moment. So, yeah, it's a no, but I know enough to read novels based fanfics at least 😉
Anyway, for how to read them. I suggest you read it in order. Anne went through a lot of phases in her life, and it affected her writing a lot. So I think it'll make more sense to read in order. There's this very helpful VC novels' crash course and faq and how to read VC novels that are critical and don't sugarcoat the contents of the novels. The second link also has a list of content warnings for the novels. (my personal commentary for the first linked post is: even when we think a character is OOT, what's ended up being written is still part of canon and can't be excluded from canon. thus, thank god the AMC series is not the novels nor the films, but a different third thing 🩷)
I hope this helps!

Any dipshit can edit Wikipedia. And the first screenshot where it's stated she's a Frost Giant is from Wikipedia. No citation provided.
The official Marvel source says nothing about Sylvie's species and neither does the series.
Another source is the prop intake form where she's "Asgardian". Why are Wikia pages any dipshit can edit sources but not the intake forms? I'd also consider both the Wiki and intake form supplementary and therefore unreliable.
It's an alternate universe! It's possible either Asgard has good relationship with Jotunheim OR that Laufey is Asgardian. There's infinite possibilities to why Sylvie was taken in, and it's an "unknown" until shown!
One's a fucking alligator!
I should not be surprised by how little critical thinking you have. You're boring and unimaginative as shit. No wonder you love AoS so much.
And you're also a little bitch for insulting people who are just trying to explain their viewpoints. You've been insulting my intelligence in these past asks when I did not insult yours.
Hello Mr. Waldron! Now I understand you are not on the best terms with Marvel these days, so arguing with teenagers on a blogging site is really the best you can do, but if I may, let me give you some advice
Consistency is key. Since you were head writer of the Loki series, it must have been so hard to consume allllll that pre-series material with Loki in it. It must be why you decided to skip over Thor 1 and Avengers, right? Despite appearances to the contrary, Loki is in fact, not Asgardian! They are a Jotun, marked on their file. And unless you feel like changing things up with your Mary Sue, Sylvie, she is also Jotun. If she was also the daughter of Laufey, then taken in by Odin and Frigga, she is, you guessed it, a Frost Giant adopted by Asgard! Good job! That wasn't so hard, was it? So I do suggest you keep a closer eye on your props department to make sure everything matches
I also understand that when there is an incredible show that is well acclaimed by both audiences and critics for championing diversity, breaking the mold, creating new and inventive plots, keeping to their theme of family over seven seasons, it's easy to feel bitter. I mean, if I had such a mediocre show that spouts nonsense like a broken record, I too, would be quite insecure. But that doesn't mean you should point fingers at a show you never watched and blame it for your problems. Or perhaps you did watch a portion of it, just to take their storylines so you could feel less bad about yourself
I recommend, as treatment for your ego, a full watch of the shows "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", "The Dragon Prince", and "The Legend of Vox Machina". Just don't try and steal them again, and you should be a-okay!
