Will The Wight King have ROs? And if so, can you tell us more about them?
Yes absolutely.
Keep in mind not all of them will necessarily appear in book 1, and some are still missing from that list, I'll update it as more get confirmed:
Helena, the Trickster (she/her): Deft with blade and words, clever smiles, clever lies, she hoped to gain some remission from the grasp of oblivion. But how could this old soul ever imagine that her path would cross that of a lost myth and its quest? Regardless she intends to gain, if not a solution, at least something worth closing her tale on.
The Wight (he/him): The slumbering lord awakens once more to a world that has long since left him behind. He looks to another sunrise wondering how long he and his comrades can endure before they break. Hopefully, this one will be better than the last... and maybe as good as...
The Scion (sher/her): Every night of her life she spent looking out from her gilded cage. The thirst grows stronger with every beat of her stubborn heart, freedom, blood, freedom, blood... blood, blood, blood... If she cannot change them, if she cannot even change herself then... At least the coming doom of an age finally affords her to fly freer than ever before...
The Overlord (he/him): Protect her. Keep them in line. Shun the light. Guiding principles only go so far when they're all you're hanging on, even for your sire's legacy. Has time come to find someone new to live for?
The Lich (they/them): The peace of a new unlife can so easily be torn from one's grasp, the darkness of the past so easily slip by unnoticed into one's heart. Sometimes oblivion is a blessing. Let those who spur them to wrath tremble, but to those who can earn their trust... perhaps, something new?
Asterius, the Adjudicator (he/him): An enemy. A sworn enemy. The oathbound warrior didn't plan for something like this new form of undead. But perhaps they can be of use... Until then, well, they're a convenient reason to make a move. He can hardly stand to wait, finally... time has come to scrape off the rust and reveal the blade he so carefully and silently honed. His heart thunders at the thought.
The Forsaken(they/them): A hidden presence, a laughter in the deep, stifled and bound when they were destined to soar across the stars. How ironic that a key would present itself even as the gate breaks at the seams. How intriguing. If it means earning their freedom before the others... it's worth the attempt, besides... what an interesting champion has risen this time.

But the Black Captain established a camp at Andrath, where the Greenway passed in a defile between the Barrow-downs and the South Downs; and from there some others were sent to watch and patrol the eastern borders, while he himself visited the Barrow-downs. In notes of the movements of the Black Riders at that time it is said that the Black Captain stayed there for some days, and the Barrow-wights were roused, and all things of evil spirit, hostile to Elves and Men, were on the watch with malice in the Old Forest and on the Barrow-downs.

after his resurrection, jon's body changes drastically. while his copper complexion remains the same, his grey eyes change to red & his dark brown hair changes to brown hair with white streaks that will eventually turn to all winter snow white hair as he ages, his hands turn black & cold as ice from being frozen & rotten due to putrefaction with fiery veins pulsing through them via his reanimation, his body was preserved in the ice cells at the wall for a while so his body began becoming frosty, before his resurrection in his human body & the burning sacrifice for his life happens, with a wolf paw symbol appearing on his chest & a white third eye symbol formed on his forehead, faint grey spiral markings & magma across his chest where his heart would be that could only be activated & be made visible by proficient magic users, as a combination between the magic of the old gods & of rh'llor, of ice & fire, as a reanimated wight of ice & fire. the red priestess melisandre gave him a glamor that could easily turn it on & off again but he doesn't use it very often. his scars across his shoulderblades, chest, abdomen, eyes, face & his throat still linger, but he wears black gloves over his hands & wears a fur collar over his throat so people will not see just how horrific his scars were dealt. it's because of his throat scar that he has difficulty speaking & needed to relearn how to speak & additionally gained hearing issues after his resurrection, becoming hard of hearing after having been in his direwolf ghost's body for so long for approximately 20 days, transferring over to his own human body when his soul was brought back into his own body again.

Okay, so believe it or not, I do play other video games besides Dragalia and Tales of the Abyss, they're just my current 'want to yell about' games inspiring Emotion. But when I happened to see an alternate costume for the resident DefinitelyNotEvilNorAFinalBossInAnotherGame!Protagonist in the latest dragon quest monsters game on switch, I got distinct Nedrick vibes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nedrick no don't set your coat on fire, you're not Hisuian Typhlosion-(honestly though I wonder how many people would buy it if you tried to claim Gala Nedrick as a humanized version of Hisuian Typhlosion?)
Yeah, yeah, there's plenty of differences but something about the way the colors line up and the fur collar, plus some of the other design choices...Nedrick, are you selling knockoff versions of your outfit in other worlds???
Extra nonsense: speaking of Nedrick's design, forcibly drawing attention to how the modelers tried to keep so close to the character art Nedrick's model has pink undersides to his 'anteannae'/horns
Tumblr media
...Which also is a vague connection to Gala Euden's shading on the back of his hair giving a green tint, which is reflected in his model too:

I'll stop there because there's way too many parallels and contrasts in their art, but this was just a stupid little ha at some of the similar designs in different video games.

Welcome my friends,
I am Nocifer, a writer of the dark and strange, a purveyor of passions and terrors, and an eclectic art enjoyer. I write interactive fiction mostly focused on dark fantasy and eldritch horror.
Here are the two WIPs I am working on right now:
Tumblr media
The Wight King:
A story about a recently awakened undead warrior, stricken with the curse of the Wight King, risen weakened and without memories, they fight for their life as they strive to discover their purpose in this new world. Aided by an ally of circumstance on the road to the throne of the dead.

Shattered - Oblivion:
You are a powerful elven warlock, brought low and on the verge of death, saved in extremis by the kindness of strangers, you are given a second chance at life. The warlock's peace is short-lived however, as the shadows of their past catches up to them in the form of an inquisition, searching for the grimoire they possess. Survive on the run, long enough to reclaim what once was yours, and triumph over your pursuers.

Note
I believe that any of the 4 Dreadgods from the Cradle Series (The Bleeding Phoenix, The Wandering Titan, The Silent King & The Weeping Dragon) could kill Macbeth.
Yes, Weeping Dragon, Silent King, Wandering Titan, and Bleeding Phoenix from Will Wight's Cradle book series could all kill Macbeth!
Tumblr media
All four of them were failed research experiment created by a man referred to as Subject One, and, from what I can tell, none are ever referred to in a gendered way. This applies them all for the Gender Clause, Unconventional Birth Clause, and Birth Parent Clause! Thank you for your submission!
