Tallit Update (Stripe Two!!):

I'm working on the second stripe! I love the bright, summery vibe this is having so far. I'm already 210 yards (192m) through the white, and perhaps 100 yards (91m) or so through the gold, and this isn't even big. I probably won't update until I get to the largest stripe since it'll just be repeating, but I wanted to show y'all what the stripes are looking as they stack up

I asked a while ago if non-crocheters could identify how many stitch types are in this so far, and I was pleased to see how close everyone was! I've been using three stitches so far: the piece starts with around four rows of single crochet, then half double crochet for the white. The gold is all done in double crochet. The largest stripe will have a unique stitch, but I don't know if there's a name for it. I'm so glad to know that I'm not putting in the work of changing stitches for it to go unnoticed (even if it's only visible up close)!

Stats so far (based on conservative estimations):

310 yards (283m) of 100% wool yarn has been used

Thirteen hours

Because Hyrule is my favorite character (along with Legend, they fight for first place) and I was re-reading the IAU.

How would he handle school? Did he have to be homeschooled for awhile since he couldn't read and, you know, trauma?

Yeah you know homeschooling would make a lot of sense, give him time to adjust to things at his own pace and all.

Two options for that: Hyrule is homeschooled the first year or two he's with them, to give him time to catch up and adjust, and after that sees his brothers going to school and decides he wants to go with them. At that point he's only a grade or two behind, so it's not too big of a deal.

Or, Hyrule keeps being homeschooled for a while, either until he graduates or up to maybe high school like my cousin did (maybe Four joins him when his powers come in and he keeps randomly splitting into four people... hmm).

The only problem here is I can't really think of a good reason as to why the rest of the boys wouldn't also just be homeschooled (a way to make hiding their kids powers a lot easier... It would make a lot of sense...), other then that it would mess up a whole ton of movie stuff XD

so i'm at my mom's and i decide to round up all the naruto volumes we have in the house (currently i've found 37, 45, 50, 51, 53, 54, 56, 58, and 60) bc that's where my brain is these days and i flipped through 'em a bit and like.

ok so in volume 53 (the birth of naruto) there's a flashback to the kyuubi attack and a bunch of people dying. we see naruto's parents (mostly kushina) monologue to him pre-kicking it, we see iruka's parents giving their lives for him, and then there's kurenai's dad.
