I want a reverse Robin au with Duke as Red Hood
I have seen plenty of Red Hood!Damian, Iâve seen Stephanie as Red Hood, but I have seen one fic that made Duke Red Hood and that was like, incorrect quotes(I liked it ofc, but still)
Bc I feel like it would go so well??(I have never read any comics pls tell me if Iâm wrong)
Damian would be SO against him at first cus Iâm Blood son and an heir?? Why do you need another one?? One that doesnât even have proper training like I DO(is it jealousy mixed with league training? Idk, probably)
But they form some kind of bond(begrudgingly) anyway, and maybe Thomas isnât that bad-
Then Joker happens
I mean, Duke WILL go if he heard there was a chance of finding his parents(bc I think all of their backstories will go same except for period-inappropriate things)
So imagine Damian, hearing his little brother died by JOKER(and the worse thing is his parents were there, completely changed by joker venom, laughing hysterically while they couldnât even acknowledge what they had lost)
Will Damian kill Joker? Probably. And if he did, he would kill him the exact way he killed Duke
Would he have fallout with Batman? Yes. Will it be as bad, if not worse than Dick? Absolutely.
Idk I just wanted to see Red Hood!Duke

you wanted batman sooo i give you;
Tim being Red Hood in Reverse Robins AUs is a crime. And here's why; Baby Jason is RIGHT THERE with more older brothers than he knows what to do with. Let him die. Let the characters keep their own backstories and personalities, and let that affect how they treat each other in those Reverse Robins AUs; let Damian be one of the most well adjusted members of the family, since he came to his father at a young age and since he was the only child, he had the full attention of Bruce. Let Tim come along when Damian is like, 17 and in medical/veterinarian/art school. Maybe Tim has an angsty arc, but let it be something related to say ,the league of assassins, or losing all his friends (Kon and Bart), or his parents dying, or all of that. Maybe even a Joker Jr thing if you REALLY need him to be spicy, i dunno. Or go more into it with the LOA. Then let Jason come along and just be. Loved by all of them? It makes more sense for THESE CHARACTERS to actually really like Jason, unlike when Dick never really got to know him THAT well, Tim and Damian like him immediately. And then let Jason die. He dies HORRIBLY. And then a few months later Dick comes along, and This is what causes strife in the family. Damian and Tim see him as a replacement for Jason, and they're mad at bruce for it. I imagine they'd come around qucikly enough tho. None can resist Dick Grayson's charm lmao. But then Jason comes back, and he is so so so mad at them for replacing him. They loved him, he KNOWS they loved him, but they... replaced him that easily? Except they ALSO killed the joker (Damian and Tim have come so close to that line, and its not like Damian's never killed before, so this also causes some strife in the fam with Bruce) So we have this smol child becoming a crime lord, but not one that wants revenge or anything to do with the bats. One that believes he was unloved and replaceable, one that maybe despises dick grayson, wants to be dick grayson, but can't bring himself to harm the family who he once loved, who once loved HIM. cue angst. tl;dr, let Jason keep his story and it is SO MUCH BETTER than tim FREAKING drake becoming red hood. P.s. i just saw that u wanted ppl to talk abt batman on my dash so idk ur view on reverse robins at all lmao. sorry if u like tim as red hood ig. not rlly tho. this is better.
Yes yes yes yes yes!!!
Omg I frikin love you.
It actually feels like all the reverse Robin aus are written by Tim stans who desperately want to give this character surface level angst.
Broski had this entire arc with Red Robin and they just ignore it in favor of making him Jason 2.0?
Itâs like theyâre desperate to keep the same dynamics and events as in the non-au but then itâs just pointless?ďżź
Tbh the entire reverse Robin thing is kinda watered down. And if you really wanna give someone Jasonâs arc give it to Steph. That at least makes move sense then Mr nepobaby over there.
(Wrote this tired- might edit later to make more concise and fix grammar)ďżź

#THIS#op is brilliant and also correct#im also not super big of reverse robin aus but.... if i may add.....#steph makes 10000x more sense to be red hood than Tim ever could be.#steph DOES have that dog on her I fear#but even then it wouldnt be a direct one to one#bc stephanie ALSO doesnt have that sense of seeing Bruce as her father.#(though you could argue that bruce sees her as a daughter - thats niether here nor there)#but i think that even if she was red hood-- she wouldnt have the same total lack of reasonablity that Jason had (for good reason) that#caused for it to go on for so long#but the initial anger over her death could spiral into her doing some crazy stuff forba while i think#but yeah no tim could never be red hood - via @feyinvestigations

If this post is just for venting about an annoying fandom trope, have fun and ignore this addition. If you're interested in getting a bit of insight into why someone DOES like this annoying fandom trope, read on!
-
Especially with characters who have been through INCREDIBLY traumatic things, it can be hard to distinguish what is the character, and what is the trauma. What parts of their semi-normality are actually signs of ridiculous strength that no one else could ever pull off. What weaknesses are actually just normal responses to their experiences. What parts of them were forged in their trauma, and what would have been there no matter what, because that's who they are.
Reverse Robins separates the two. It allows an authour to explore how other characters would have reacted to the same events. Which reactions are unique to a character, and what things are somewhat universal.
In a Reverse Robins AU, no one should be patrolling Crime Alley and killing drug dealers, because that is the MOST Jason Todd solution that could possibly exist. But figuring out what (or seeing what other's think) Tim or Steph WOULD do can shine so much light on who Jason, Tim, and Steph are.
And the fact that Steph might do something roughly similar to Jason actually makes her a worse fit for Red Hood, in my books! (She probably wouldn't be in Crime Alley, be focused mostly on the city's Rogues rather than drugs and trafficking, and, as Fey said, she'd have a different interaction with Bruce.) Having her as Hood muddles the messaging. Many of the things she'd do the same as Jason would actually be for different reasons, but making that clear would be HARD. It would be difficult to learn more about how she ticks through the experiment.
But Tim (or Dick, Dick!Red Hood is a terrifying and fascinating option)! There's so much to interrogate! Tim isn't making a big dramatic show. He probably isn't out to get revenge on the Bats, or prove they never cared. Talia isn't taking him under her wing, because Talia HATES HIS GUTS (and it is SO FUNNY). He doesn't have the strong sense of self Jason does, or the sense of community which drives him to a certain part of the city. How DOES a Tim who was murdered and then sees the world move on react? Who does he become?
A Jason who came into the family after tragedy. How does that change things? He CAN NOT fill the role Tim did. Jason isn't a chameleon who becomes whoever's needed. So how does Bruce have to change (without an enabling child to use as a crutch)? What strengths/weaknesses WOULD be shaping Jason in this situation? How does he respond to a family much more invested in building relationships? (And ARE they trying to build relationships like canon? Is that the lesson THESE characters would learn from Tim's death?)
Damian is very little like Dick, and uniquely unsuited to being an eldest sibling. How does that affect things? What relationships is he able to build outside Gotham? Does he ever LEAVE Gotham? I doubt he sees that as the same indicator of adulthood that Dick did. He's much more focused on legacy and inheritance than Dick. So does he get really involved with Wayne Ent?
NOBODY would be Oracle like Babs is. What would they do if they lost the ability to patrol? How would they remake themselves? (This one is hard, and I haven't seen too many really compelling options. Which says a lot about how strong and unique Babs is. She's hard to replace! Which just makes me hungrier to dig deeper into her and whoever I'm wanting to switch her with.)
-
The strength of the Reverse Robins trope is in showing that characters aren't interchangeable. (At least for me. A lot of fic doesn't have the same vision ;P ) My favourite stories keep the major events, but really focus on how the individual threads form a very different tapestry. People inhabit the roles they've been given in unique ways, and I get to see sides of them I rarely see.
Since every fan takes different things from canon, it also allows for VERY different takes that all feel real. Some of which show me facets of the characters I've never before considered.
It's a funhouse mirror and a characterization exercise. Which I think is really cool!
my issue with reverse robin aus- one among many- is that That Guy would not have had the willpower to dig himself out of his own grave while gravely injured. thatâs just my opinion though!
#reverse robins#batfamily#gecko's meta#doing it well is hard#because you have to have a good handle on WHY characters do the things they do in canon#enough to figure out how things could go differently

Once Upon An Us by crashbang
Somewhere in the middle of the Andromeda Galaxy, thirty thousand light years from Rao, Damian Wayne wakes up drenched in sweat and wet between his thighs.

Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? by poisonivory
After years in the future with the Legion of Super-Heroes, Jon is finally back in Damian's life, and Damian's determined to keep him in this century. If that means a little fooling around between friends, so be it. It doesn't have to mean anything.

When Damian traces the source of a lethal new party drug to Metropolis University, it only makes sense to go undercover as a student to ferret out the culprits. He doesn't expect to run into Met U student Jon Kent, and he definitely doesn't expect to get mistaken for Jon's boyfriend. But hey, what harm could it do to play along?

Robin Reversal AU. It is the year 2019, Damian's father is dead, and he's left with the legacy of Batman and a small child with crystal blue eyes. It is the year 2004, and Damian is a Muslim in post-9/11 America, son to a cryptid who works alone and doesn't realize that a Batman needs a partner. It is the year 2018, and a criminal called the Red Hood is terrorizing Damian's broken family. It is the year 2012, and Damian's father has replaced him with the neighbor next door. It is 2006 and Damian meets an alien who's also just a kid, it is 2011 and Damian is in love with an alien. It is hard being the oldest son and heir to an idiot, but Damian has Young Justice behind him and his future ahead of him. He'll cope.

Jonâs heart started pounding so hard he would have been concerned if heâd heard it in a regular humanâs chest. âAre you saying that youâve been courting me?â
Damianâs brow furrowed. âYes, obviously.â
âObviously?â Jon echoed. âWhen did...how? What was the courtship part?â And how had he missed it? This was so unfair.

Ok, so Iâve been really into batfamily reverse age auâs lately, but a lot of the fics Iâve read just insert Tim Drake into Jasonâs story with minor changes. Thatâs fine, but it got me thinking about what wouldâve happened if Tim was the second Robin.
And I may or may not have gotten a little out of control.
Anyways, enjoy.
So Talia would drop Damian off on Bruce first. Which, I mean imagine Bruce having to learn how to parent with Damian. Anyway, Damian becomes Bruceâs first sidekick, not Robin because Dick came up with the name Robin, so for the sake of this rant Iâm going to call him Blackbird. I think that would go pretty similarly to canon, with Damian eventually wanting to go off by himself, having a falling out with Bruce, etc. I imagine reverse Damian as less bratty than regular Damian, because he doesnât have a Robin legacy to live up to or a mantle to earn. He was the first. I mean heâs still Damian, and still has to learn how to go from assassin to vigilante, but he is definitely more confident with his place. I think heâd be a lot like Bruce because 1. Regular Damian is already similar to Bruce and 2. He didnât have any other role models, so there was no Dick Grayson to admire instead. So, eventually, Damian goes off by himself as a new vigilante (that isnât Nightwing.)
Then Tim shows up. Bruce is upset that his son left and is trying to learn how to deal with the fact that Damian grew up, no longer needs him, etc. Bruce probably blames himself partly, thinking that he was a bad parent to Damian, and starts getting more violent with criminals. Taking his own guilt out on them, when a boy shows up at his door talking about how he knows that Bruce Wayne is Batman. Now there was no Dick Grayson doing a quadruple flip for Tim to figure it out, so he had to figure out a different way. Maybe he met Damian at a gala and was able to connect his formal speech patterns with Blackbirdâs, and then everything else clicked into place. Anyway, Tim saw that there wasnât a Blackbird anymore and saw that Batman started getting more violent with criminals and needed a sidekick, so he volunteered. It would take way less convincing from Tim in this au, because Damian didnât die, especially when Bruce finds out about the neglectful parents. Tim would be closer with Bruce right off the bat too. So Tim becomes Blackbird. Everythingâs great for a while, and when Timâs parents die, Bruce adopts him. I think that Tim would always help the street kids, because he started becoming friends with some of them while following Batman and Blackbird.
Now, Iâm thinking that Tim encountered the Joker in a very different way than Jason. Tim is smart enough that he canât be easily tricked into a trap like Jason did, and heâs less impulsive. I think the same thing that happens to Jason would happen to Tim though, because the timing wouldnât change. The Joker would want to traumatize Batman by killing his sidekick at the same time as canon. Who that sidekick is doesnât really matter. It probably wouldâve happened similarly to in Batman Beyond, where Tim was chasing a criminal or Harely and ended up getting knocked out. After that, the same thing in canon would happen, beaten, blown up, dead.
Bruce would be devestated. Heâd probably be even more guilty than in canon because he let Tim convince him to be Blackbird in the first place, when Tim wasnât even part of the family yet. Heâd get even more violent than before, probably suicidal, starting to lose it. Damian would come back to Gotham to try to help his father, and mourn Tim himself. Damian and Tim didnât have a strong relationship, but Damian respected his intelligence and the boy started to grow in him. Damian would feel that he shouldâve gotten to know Tim better.
Then Jason would come flying into everyoneâs lives. Bruce is worse than ever, when he comes across a boy stealing his tires. Heâs surprised and a little shocked at the absolute balls this kid has, stealing from the batmobile, and dazedly asks if Jason was hungry. Jason would remind Bruce of Tim, and how Tim was always so good with the younger street kids and how he would want to help Jason. Long story short, Jason gets adopted. Jason in this au wouldnât become Blackbird for a decent amount of time, even when he discovers Bruce is Batman, because Bruce is so scared at the thought of losing another son, but he eventually relents. Jason wouldnât be able to get away with as many impulsive moves as in canon, because Bruce is way more cautious now. Anyway, Batman calms down, and everythingâs normal for a while.
Then Tim comes back.
The same thing would happen as in canon. Raâs Al Ghul heard that the smart Blackbird died, and starts plotting. Cut to grace robbing and Lazarus pit ex machina. Now, Tim wouldnât respond to the same manipulation that Jason did. He doesnât want people to die, he wouldnât be that mad at Bruce for not killing the Joker, because he understands Batman, he followed him, studied him, flew with him. He knows why Bruce didnât kill the Joker. No, Raâs would have to resort to different tactics. Jason. Raâs would play it that Bruce immediately took a new son off of the streets, a new Blackbird. That would get to Tim. If Tim thought that Bruce immediately got a new sidekick to put in harmâs way, didnât even pause, and a street kid at that, who wouldnât have a better alternative. That would get Tim mad. Tim wouldnât be mad at being replaced, but that he got replaced with a kid who didnât know better, immediately, and that Damian didnât stop it. That would break through Timâs walls enough for Raâs to get to him. And given a year, Raâs could manipulate him into wanted to kill Bruce. âFor everyoneâs sake,â Raâs would say. âHow many kids will he get killed.â Damian would be used as fuel too. Raâs would say that he knows Damian. That Damian would stand by and let it happen if it meant he got to stay as a solo vigilante. That Damian doesnât care about anyone else. Timâs smart enough to logic his way through most of these lies, and he knows full well how much trouble Raâs is, given that Damian was his predecessor, But, it wouldnât matter how smart Tim was, given enough time and sole exposure to the league. Raâs would shape Tim into his heir. Damian was a failure in that regard, and Tim is smarter anyway.
Eventually, Raâs would be confident enough in Timâs brainwashing that he would bring Tim back to Gotham. Not as the Red Hood, but as an assassin. A very well-trained assassin. Tim wouldnât just kill people like Jason did, heâd probably have killed people with the league but not a lot. Forcing Tim to kill a lot would shake him out of the brainwashing more, because of his morals. No, Raâs would be the one to get Batmanâs attention. When Bruce eventually figured out Raâs was in town, heâd go find him, and find Tim instead. Tim would have swords on him, and be in league of assassins uniform, but would probably be holding a gun at Bruce, because he could still beat Tim in a one on one fight. Damian would be there too, because he can handle his grandfather, but when he sees Tim, heâd blanch. Because, despite not being incredibly close to Tim, that was still his little brother, his dead little brother with his grandfather behind him. Oh, Damian would know exactly what happened.
Bruce would try to talk Tim down, and so would Damian, but with Raâs right there as well, Tim wouldnât shake enough to back down. Then, Jason shows up. I think thatâs what gets through to Tim. Jason wouldâve heard about Tim, and wanted to be just like him. Heâd say as much to him. That is what would make a Tim pause, because according to Raâs, Bruce made Jason Blackbird, Tim didnât even think about if Jason had to convince Bruce to become Blackbird. He wasnât able to with being around Raâs constantly for a year. But with Jason standing right in front of him, completely unharmed, saying he wanted to be like Tim. That would shock Timâs brain enough to actually think about what Damian and Bruce were saying. It would be like his entire word view suddenly tilted. His hand would start shaking. Damian would try to get him to see reason again, to reach out to Tim for what is pretty much the first time, and Raâs gets cocky. He forgets that Timâs intelligence doesnât belong to him or Bruce. Tim would be reevaluating everything and start seeing more and more holes with Raâs arguments. Timâs more rational that regularJason, heâd be able to see that reverse Jason seems to want to be Blackbird, just like Tim wanted to be. I think that untimately it would take Bruce reaching out to him, calling him son, calking him back to truly break him. I think that Tim would go after Raâs, pit madness still being a thing. Tim would probably almost kill him because a Raâs would be caught off guard. Damian would be the one to stop him, to pull him back.
Afterwards, Tim would have a lot to sort through, and still wouldnât exactly trust Bruce. Heâd talk to Jason though. He and Jason would be very close, with Jason helping with a lot of his recovery. Giving constant assurance that heâs ok and that he loves being Blackbird. Tim would be very protective over him. Damian and Tim would get a lot closer too. Damian helping to undo all the conditioning and lies that Tim endured while with the league. Damian understands, and Tim would see that. Given enough time Tim would eventually go back home for good, go back to Bruce. When he finally rejoins the family heâd become a solo vigilante. His name would be Cardinal. A bird representing dead loved ones watching over you.
Bruce âdyingâ would still happen and I think that Tim would still be the one to figure it out, Damian might be a little skeptical because of Timâs admittedly less than amazing mental state, but would offer assistance. Heâd seen enough people coming back to life to be to sure that itâs impossible, and Jason really likes Tim at this point and wants Bruce back, so heâd be all for it. Theyâd bring Bruce back together, without the league of assassins, although Tim still finds a way to blow up half of Raâs bases.
Dick would be like a breath of fresh air after the chaos of the first three. Bruce and the family would go to the circus for bonding. Maybe Tim mentioned seeing a circus performance when he was little, a Bruce wanted something to help Tim get even more comfortable being around him and the family again. Theyâd see the Flying Graysons fall, and see poor little Dick Grayson crying over the dead bodies of his family and immediately come to a consensus. Dick would get adopted soon after. He wouldnât become Blackbird very quickly, as Jason still held the mantle, and maybe he wouldnât at all. Maybe when the family finally deemed him ready to join them as a vigilante, heâd take the name Robin. The older siblings would love Dick and want to protect this boy with endless energy and a wide smile no matter what. Tim now having a strong urge when it comes to protecting his younger brothers because of Raâs, Damian finally knowing how to big brother (in a very Damian way) at this point, and Jason getting to take care of someone younger than him. All of them would be a strong family unit at this point. And no one could tear them apart again.

Sorry but I am curious, how do you think a Reverser Robins AU would go, but with Steph as the oldest. IE Damian and Duke are still their canon ages, but the first four got flipped? Cos I feel given her background and Bruce being less crap in is early stages would leads to less or at least different drama than he had with Dick, given I doubt Steph would resent going to college or want to be a cop.
Reverse Robins for the first four Robins:
Steph as the first Robin - I imagine Steph becoming Robin or some variation would go similarly to Steph how she became Robin in the World Without Young Justice timeline, Arthur would murder Crystal for some reason & Steph would go out & try & stop him, Bruce would find her, see her potential & take her in
The drama with Steph not being Bruce's sidekick anymore would be different from Dick, we know that Steph wouldn't have a problem with going to university nor would she have problems balancing vigilante work & university life like Dick did because we already saw Steph be both a vigilante & go to university at the same time in her Batgirl run, but Steph would also probably be similar to Dick in clashing against Bruce's controlling nature we've seen this in comics with 'the slap' & also Steph getting angry at Bruce for monitoring her therapy sessions with Leslie.
Steph would also start having problems with Bruce in thinking he doesn't do enough for people who the system fails, the system failing to keep her & her mum safe is why Steph becomes Spoiler in the first place. Those factors combined would eventually lead to Steph wanting to strike out on her own.
Something about this AU that is very different from canon Steph is that if Bruce takes her under his wing from the very start, Steph wouldn't have the trauma from Bruce constantly sabotaging her support systems like she does in canon & would probably long for independence like Dick did instead of being afraid to be on her own.
Tim as the Second Robin- Most likely Tim would have been inspired by Steph saving him at some point & would have figured out Batman's identity from seeing Stephanie Brown have a similar injury to Robin. After Steph goes solo he notices Bruce being less careful without someone to watch his back & confronts him, maybe as a parallel to canon Bruce makes Tim Robin partly hoping it will make Steph jealous & come back. Tim would eventually die to the Joker before coming back as the Red Hood.
Jason as the Third Robin- Bruce meets Jason stealing the tires off of the Batmobile & laughs when he sees it, that moment being the first time he has laughed or smiled since Tim's death. It's canon that Steph reminds Bruce of Jason so in this AU Jason would remind Bruce of Steph which is what Bruce will use to convince himself that Jason won't die like Tim did because he is like Steph.
Dick as the Fourth Robin- Not to sure, Bruce either takes Dick in but refuses to let him be a vigilante so Dick has to sneak out to do it before becoming Bruce's partner after Bruce & Jason have a falling out OR Bruce goes the full canon Steph route, where he leaves Dick in whatever horrible situation, social services put Dick in while having full knowledge of it & sabotages Dick's efforts to fight crime just to prove points before eventually letting him become his partner when he & Jason have a falling out but holding Dick to ridiculous & unfair standards

Oooh I see. Yeah no, I don't rlly feel like Tim would become red hood js bc it doesn't fit his personality. He's too technical for it (imo) and Jason is more emotional,, hence part of the reason he turned out how he did and became the red hood. He's known as the 'angry Robin' (which technically isn't true but for the sake of this post we're going to be using how people view them in fanon) because he's emotional and people know it. Tim is known as the smart Robin. The one that uses his head first and who stays up all night drinking coffee because he can't shut his brain off. Logically, I feel like he would overthink it. Before doing anything,, before becoming red hood and before he decides to reveal himself, he'd think about it wayyy too much and try to get intro Bruce's head with it. He'd think about /why/ Bruce didn't kill the joker after he died, he'd think about why he wasn't avenged, he'd think about why he didn't get justice even though that's what The Batman fights for. Being The Batman's sidekick and not getting justice when he needed it most at that moment is why Jason became Red Hood. Because he was angry that he wasn't worthy of the justice that Batman tries to get for the rest of the city. Tim would use logic, though. If he did hypothetically become the Red Hood, he'd be much more dangerous too, because it would be (as I see it) harder to appeal to his empathy due to the fact that he puts his morality aside for the sake of his train if thought and way of thinking. But before he would do any of that, he wouldn't become the Red Hood. Honestly, I think he would just kill the joker himself and get it over with. What's more logical? Making a grand entrance and announcing to the world that you lived even if there are only a handful of people who would truly understand the sentiment? Or get revenge justice for yourself? Personally I feel like it would be more empowering to watch the life drain from the man who killed me knowing that I'm returning the favor as opposed to having my mentor/father (figure) do it for me, though I do understand the reasoning.
Plus I feel like with reverse robin aus there's so much more potential than just making Tim red hood. Imagine Jason as a stalker,, or Tim stealing tires (I'd say for attention in this universe considering his family is rich, so he wouldn't need it for the money) them getting caught and promptly raised by his nextdoor neighbor (in a rich people who own like two thousand acres of land way). Imagine Damian being Nightwing and wearing the discowing costume unironically. Imagine Bruce raising his own blood before adopting seven kids. Imagine that by the time Tim gets to the house, it's already packed full with animals and other creatures, because, like his father, Damian has an issue with adopting creatures. Imagine dick not feeling as lonely when he arrives at Wayne manor because, like at the circus, he's surrounded by family and the manor isn't as empty as it would have been otherwise. Imagine Damian's reluctance when Bruce first brings home Tim and then the others,, imagine his unwillingness to admit the fact that he actually likes the new siblings.
But idk,, I js feel like there's more potential. Sorry for kinda hijacking ur post lmao
Someone ask me about my opinions on Reverse Robins Aus

(Is this late? Oops. Sorry!)
12: Favourite character to write about this year
Stephanie Brown, easy. She's my spirit animal, so I might be doing a touch of projecting, but I honestly don't care. She's just pure chaos in the best way. Some of my favourite lines that I've written are for her. Such as:
"What's up bitches? I brought donuts!"
"My waffles await!"
"FEAR ME!"
"Welcome to Stephâs Glitter Bomb Palace, Where Snitches get Stitchesâ˘! So donât tell Bruce or Iâll sic Jason on you."
She's also the character I've gotten the most comments on. People really seen to enjoy how I write her!
A close second would be Duke Thomas. Bliss, a fic I wrote for the 2020 Duke Week, was one of my favourites! Or maybe Damian? His dialogue just comes easy to me.
21: Most memorable comment/review

On Code Orange (Batfam/Young Justice Crossover)
*Or*
I have wanted to read a DCU/MCU crossover for a VERY long time. This story is such a delight. Your characterisation (and for me an introduction to The Signal) was fascinating in the extreme. I loved the game playing and the fact that I could watch (open-mouthed) as Bruce Wayne enjoyed childlike fun with his children and Alfred(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) was the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. I look forward to your updates in a way that you wouldn't believe.
On Batfam/Avengers Crossover
19: Any new fics to start next year
Oh boy. So many. You know what? Here's a list. It'll be good to get these ideas out. Plus, you guys can tell me what you'd rather see first!
Gen/just Batfam
Crack fic based off this piece of dialogue (came from a convo between my sister and I): Tim reached forward and poked Duke's face. "You're right!" He exclaimed. "You really *do* squish like a block of wood!" Duke Centric.
Based on THIS Incorrect Quotes. Talia moves into the Manor because she's sick of Ra's. Featuring a bunch of good mom!Talia.
Based off THIS Incorrect Quotes. Jason runs for President as Red Hood. I have so many ideas! This'll be really fun.
Loosely based on THIS post. It explores Jason and Cassandra's relationship, and how it evolves.
Duke Thomas Big Bang Fic (can't say much, but it'll be great!)
Platonic (need to be certain you understand that. There were some misconceptions w/ my Discord server) Slow Burn between Tim and Damian. At the beginning the absolutely despise each other. But over time they realise their own insecurities, and how they don't actually hate the other. And by the end they fully admit and embrace their being brothers.
Reverse Robins with Damian as the oldest (I made THIS post talking about it a while back. But I've highly revised it.)
Reverse Robins with Duke as the oldest (I wrote THIS fic, but I think I want to change this into a series!)
Cassandra as Batman. Stephanie as Catwoman. Carrie Kelley as Robin.
5 Times Bette Kane was the mastermind behind the batkids' pranks without Bruce's knowledge, and 1 Time her brilliance was brought to light.
5 Times Duke thought that he couldn't possibly get any more siblings and 1 Time he met the cousins (AKA: Duke meets the extended family)
Birdflash
Birdflash in the JL/JLU universe (based off that one hexagon by @novaviis ! Super fun!). The league is inviting potential members to the Watchtower one day. Except Wally wasn't there during the choosing of said members. So he's completely shocked when his husband Nightwing shows up. They have to act like they don't know each other, which basically involves Dick flirting his butt off with Wally, Wally trying desperately to remain professional, Bruce digging in the corner, the rest of the League in varying degrees of disapproval and confusion (at least a couple have seen Wally's wedding ring. So that adds a while 'nother layer).
Young Justice soulmate au. Dick, and eventually everyone else, knows that Wally is his soulmate. Wally is oblivious. Lots of pining and angst in this one. Slow burn to an extent (depends on how long I make it). But definitely a happy fluffy ending in sight!
Batfam Meets Young Justice
THIS fic.
Duke gets yeeted into the YJ universe, and promptly passes out. He wakes up in the Watchtower, and breaks out of the confinement the Team has set up for him. Pulls shenanigans (some unwittingly) and used his powers. The Team and JL are confused, and panicking. Because this guy keeps muttering things about the Batfam. And he has a bat on his chest.
The Team break into some ancient temple after getting info on a new Supervillian plot. They find purple clothed woman draped across a throne. She talks, and they panic, as she knows all their secret identities. The only one who isn't, is Tim. He looks bored. Alternatively: Steph needs Tim's credit card to take his sister out on a date, and absolutely refuses to text.
While the Team is on a mission to stop Lady Shiva, a dimensional portal opens up and spits out a strange Robin (Damian) and what seemed to be a female Batman (Cass as Black Bat). This new dynamic due promptly defeats Lady Shiva and all the goons. The Team is freaked out, and 'apprehends' the dimensional anomalies, bringing them back to the Watchtower. Where the due promptly break and and start chaos. Featuring "Toxic" by Britney Spears. I will not explain why.
The Watchtower gets a sudden emergency message from the Batcave. They accept, to find a stranger calling himself Signal panicking about Robin being missing. They all look at Tim, who ignores them, and says that he doesn't know where Robin is. Some naming shenanigans occur.
(Not sure if this fits here, oh well) Set in Season One, Bruce is tired of Clark's attitude towards Superboy, and adopts the clone himself. Not sure how far this'll go, but at least goes through Dick's time as Robin. (Based on THIS Tumblr post)
(Also iffy on placement) a continuation of one (not sure which? Probably Damian as older) Reverse Robins fics. It's a retelling of Season One of YJ, with Dick as Robin. Nightwing (Damian) feels protective of his brother, and so takes on the role Black Canary had in the show, training the Team. But as time goes on, he ends up being more of a big brother to the group. Cameos from the rest of the Batfam as well! And an Identity Reveal (including finding out Dick and Dami are brothers) at the end!
Batfam Meets the Justice League
Cass takes over being Batman for a bit, because Bruce was an idiot and broke his leg. This happens to line up with when the Justice League reach out to the Dark Knight, in order to extend an invitation to the league. They eventually meet Bruce as Batman, and are confused as to why he is so tall. And male.
Joyfire
Lian accidentally reveals her three parents' relationship by calling Bruce 'grandpa' over dinner.
Museum Heist
THIS fic
Operation: Seduce Nightwing. Based on a post for an ATLA ot3, Wally and Artemis realise silumaneously âHey, we kinda have the hots for Dickâ and decide together to see if he likes them back. Which involves a heck ton of over the top flirting, and shenanigans. The Team is sighing on the sidelines at their idiocy. Dick is internally combusting and thinking âDo they like me back? Iââm not sure.âÂ
5 times Dick and Wally fought over being the middle spoon, and one time Artemis had had enough.
Set in Season 3 (but ignores some canon), Bart is kidnapped by some mad scientist obsessed with the Speed Force. The Team mobilizes, and gets Bart back from the evil base. But when they get there, they find Wally West freed from the Speed Force. He and Artemis reunite, and everyone is happy. They prepare to leave. Then the Pick-up Squad arrive in the bioship, and Dick gets out. Everyone is expecting Dick to give Wally a hug, because hey, he's his best friend! What they weren't expecting was him to run forward and pull the speedster into a passionate kiss. They go back to the Watchtower, and some more stuff happens.
Soulmate AU where the first thing your soulmate says to you after they fall in love with you is tattooed on your body.
Post Season Two Get Together. Starts with Artemis living with Dick as opposed to Will. Might be Slow Burn? (They come pretty close to kissing) Eventually Wally comes back. Arty and Wally are back together. They both live in the same house as Dick, for convenience. Then some more Slow Burn happens. Maybe some Birdflash moments. Arty tells Wally she kinda had a thing for Dick. Wally admits the same. Maybe a touch more Slow Burn. They Eventually get together.
Batlantern
AU where Bruce met Hal back when he first came back to Gotham. Fic goes through how their relationship evolves over the years (up until current time, when Damian is 13). I'm considering a relationship reveal with the Justice League.
Hal's interactions with Bruce's kids.
Green Lantern Corp acting protective of Hal when Bruce comes to Oa. This was an ask that I got, and I'm holding off on writing it till I get as much into on the GL's as possible, as all I know if their characterization comes from that animated series, and Guy Gardener's (Hilarious!) parts on Young Justice.
Marvel
Like 3 different versions of the Peter Parker Field Trip to Stark Tower Trope.
2-part Crossover with the Batfam (they exist in the same universe), where the Avengers go to a Wayne Gala, and interact with the family. The second chapter involves them heading out the next night to try and contact Batman.
THIS fic.

I was gone for six months and suddenly my best friend has a baby!
Part 2 of this
I wasn't going to do this part but so many people wanted a part two and I came up with this idea!
*******************
Jon was excited, not for the long boring meeting that was about to start, but for the food he was going to get at his best friend's house after the meeting. Of course this might not be the worst meeting, there was supposed to be a new hero from Gatham, that could be fun. He wondered if Damian Robin was friends with this new hero, and if they were another adopted sibling.
As more and more people filed into the justice league's meeting room, Jon Super-boy kept looking and not finding his friend. Once everyone was seated the batfam entered, always so dramatic.
The big bat himself entered first, followed by most of his kids. Nightwing, Red Hood, Black Bat, and Red Robin all walked in, Red Robin making a beeline for the computer. The last to enter was Robin next to a girl in a black suit with red accents. If this wasn't such a serious meeting Jon probably would have teased Robin about the matching suits. She must be the new hero. He whispered something to her in french, so they were friends, very interesting.
When everyone was seated the meeting began in the same way it always did with a report from all the leaders about how their city's were doing. The second order of business was the mission jon had just completed. It had taken him six months, two trips off world and eleven other people but he had finally stopped the alien who had wanted to destroy the world.
For Jon this part was just as interesting as the updates. he did his best to look like he was paying attention but really he was listening to damian talking to the new hero, Ladybug. Everything they said was in french, which made things harder for him because he didn't speak french.
Superman was almost done with the debriefing when Red Robin spoke up, "Ladybug, Agent A needs you right away, code G."
The woman nodded standing. Robin stood too but was stopped by her hand, "i can deal with this Robin, ill call if i need back-up."
He frowned but sat back down. Looking back at superman to continue.
"Thank you superman, for that very detailed debriefing," batman said standing and walking to the head of the table,"now as I'm sure you have heard there is a new hero in Gatham. Red Robin is calling her now she had to leave a moment ago. While we wait for her I would like to give you some backstory, she was thirteen when she became a hero, in Paris. She fought a supervillen for five years before he was finally defeated. Her partner from those days has since retired. She moved to Gatham for college and began working with us as a vigilante about five and a half months ago,"
"That about sums up my life this far," the woman herself stood in the doorway holding a pile of blankets.
Damian walked over to her and carefully took something from the blankets, an even smaller bundle. "She wouldn't stop crying would she?"
"She wanted her dad."
Thats when it clicked: Damian was holding a baby girl, the woman had said the baby wanted her dad and now the girl was reaching up for damian's face. Ladybug walked over next to batman.
Damian had a baby. DAMIAN HAD A BABY!!!!! This was not happening! The same Damian who hissed any time someone tried to touch him, had a baby?????? That didn't make any sense! Where did he get a baby??? You leave for six months and suddenly your best friend has a baby! Ridiculous!
Ladybug began speaking, "im sure many of you are curious about my powers but I'm afraid I can't disclose that information. If anyone has any other questions I would be happy to answer them."
The Flash raised his hand, when ladybug nodded at him he said, "Is that your and Robin's baby?" Barry, always so quick to adresse the elephant in the room.
Ladybug turned slightly red but replied, "In a manner of speaking, yes. But not in blood. Are there any other questions?"
When no one said anything the meeting was adjourned, the heroes heading back to their citys. Jon joined the batfam as they left.
"So Robin would you like to explain why you had a baby and didn't tell me?" Jon asked.
"No."
"Ha!" Jason laughed as they stepped into the tube headed home. "He just doesn't want to explain how he reverse kidnapped a baby."
Stepping out into the bat cave the team walked to there respective changing areas. Leaving only ladybug and the baby with Jon.
"Could you explain?"
She laughed, "sure, basically a lady handed damian little Gabrielle here and sprinted off. We never found the lady so damian and I adopted her. Lagaly she is damian's daughter though. Can you hold her while I detransform?"
"I guess." He took Gabrielle from Ladybug as a bright light over took her.
When the light vanished the young woman standing there smiled at him, "Im marinette by the way."
"Nice to meet you marinette," he said handing her back Gabrielle, "Im Jonathan but everyone calls me Jon."
"Nice to meet you too," she looked behind him and smiled even brighter, "Dames, we had better go up stairs for dinner."
Damian kissed her and took the tiny mask off of Gabrielle's face.
"So im an uncle now, right Damian?"
"No kent my daughter will not be calling you her uncle."
"Why not?!" Marinette and Jon exclaimed at the same time.
"Mari not you too." Damien said in mock horror. "I knew i shouldn't leave you two alone together!"
Marinette giggled. At this point they had reached the kitchen and marinette took Gabrielle from Damian to put her in her high chair.
The three of them continued talking as the rest of the family joind the dinner table. Marinette and Damian took turns feeding Gabrielle mashed sweet potatoes. Everyone laughed and joked, even talking to Gabby some times.
After dinner about half of the team had to go home, everyone else went to their rooms or to the movie room to watch Avitar: the last Airbender, which wasn't a movie but they wanted to watch it on the big screen.
Damian whent to put Gabby to sleep, it was too late for them to go home and Alfred had already prepared a room for them.
"So how long have you and Damian been together?" Jon asked Marinette.
"Two years in May. I didn't meet his family until five months ago though." She smiled, "I met them the same day we got Gabby, I understand why he didn't want me to meet them for such a long time. I mean who could have guessed I was a hreo too?"
"Im glad he found you. He seems much happier when you are around." Jon said.
"Marinette can you come say good night to Gabby she wants you." Damien called from the top of the stairs.
"Ill be right there!" Marinette shouted back.
Marinette walked up the stairs as Damian walked down. "So I guess you like her." Damien said.
"She has the best friend stamp of approval." Jon replied enthusiastically.
"Thats good," Damien said thinking over his words before he continued, "because, I'm going to ask her to marry me." He poped open a ring box revealing a beautiful diamond engagement ring.
"Wow! Oh my god!! Can I be your best man?!!" Jon was vibrating with excitement.
"Sssshhhhhhhhh!! You have to keep this on the down low! No one knows about this not even Alfred!"
"Im pretty sure Alfred knows everything. Especially the things you don't think he knows. Its his secret super power." Jon contredited. "I should probably head to bed i have to get up early tomorrow."
"Why would you need to get up early?"
"Because Alfred is making pancakes and i want to be the first one to get some."
As jon drifted off to sleep he thought about if he would be as good of a dad as damian was, and if he would be able to find someone like marinette.
*******************
Sorry this i late but I was having trouble writing this chapter. Also has anyone else been watching avitar non stop, like at this point I'm pretty sure I've seen it 12 times.
Next im going to write a soulmate au so if you want to be tagged in that let me know. I hope you enjoyed! (The wifi is down at my house sorry if you weren't tagged, ill try again later)

Let's Chat about these Reversed Aged!Robins AUs
So recently I replied to @gentlemenpaws generalask!post which saidâŚ
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c5862e94838c9c905cade6be295f77d2/c4fba86fb46c326a-77/s540x810/92eb15d8c8b1a1314024f425d2e3c4608b107cab.jpg)
And I thought I would go a little into my reply to him. Because and hear me out.
I can never take reversed ages Robin headcanons and stories seriously. Without turning off my brain a little. And please, please, please just hear me out.
There is a reason why.
(TLDR at the bottom of this long post)
1) This is the most important reason. Say it with me. THERE IS NO ROBIN WITHOUT DICK GRAYSON.
Think about all other âsidekickâ or 'junior partnerâ characters. With the exception of maybe Speedy, what are their names and costumes? Aqualad, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Super Girl, Super Boy, Bat Girl, Miss Martian... You know, the famous ones? The ones that all based their costumes in echo of their mentors (and yes, Iâm including Roy Harper here, Speedyâs costume is a mirror of Green Arrowâs - in red).
So why doesnât Batmanâs apprentice call himself Batboy? Why is his design so divergent from Batmanâs? (Okay I understand thereâs other reasons but Iâm trying to stay in universe/lore here). Depending on the continuity, when Barbara Gordon/Betty Kane became Batgirl she followed the trend. Robinâs identity although associated with the Bat, can stand alone without context.
Why Robin? Why the traffic lights? Something that has been shown time and time again (despite continuity differences and all) is that Robin was Dickâs pet name, from Mary Grayson, his mum. Again depending on the continuity, Mary Grayson called Dick Robin because:-
1)Â He was â...always bobbinâ along.â (Pre-Flashpoint Robin: Year One)
Interesting because it could either refer to his skill in acrobatics or a tendency to get underfoot because of his curiousity.
2) Born on the first day of Spring.Â
Or...
 3) Just as a tease because he just really, really loved the stories of Robin Hood.
The traffic light colouration he chose for his costume, even the design of his costume? Well if you take a look at most of the Dick Grayson origin stories (Pre-Flashpoint: Robin Year One, Batman Year Three. Post-Rebirth: Batman #54 just to name a couple examples) the Grayson aerialist costume is... Red, Green and Yellow. The proportions of the colours and presence of a cape vary but traffic lights are Grayson colours.
Robin was Dick Graysonâs tribute to his dead family.*
*Part of the reason why Dick got so hurt that Bruce gave Robin away to Jason was because Bruce forgot that Robin was not his to give. This is why the other Pre-Flashpoint comics had Dick give Tim his blessing to become Robin. And then outright have Dick give the R to Damian. Jason eventually got Dickâs blessings but by that point, the relationship was never going to start from the best place.
2) Damian as the first 'apprenticeâ would not work. Why? BRUCE WOULD NOT HAVE SURVIVED LONG ENOUGH. (I can hear all the cries of âBut heâs Batman!â ring out).
Dick and Bruce met super early into Bruceâs career as Batman.
Remember how pre-Batman Bruce went about as a generic vigilante without a moniker or anything? And got his butt kicked so hard by the Gotham streets that it took a bat crashing through a window to convince him to try again?
Pre-Robin Batman was characterised by one thing:- Recklessness. He knew sooner or later Gotham was going to claim his life and that he would probably be going sooner rather than later.
He spent a lot of time recovering in those days. Maybe more than he did catching lowlifes or solving crimes.
And then everything changed when the Flying Graysons fell.
The crime that touched Dick mirrored the crime that affected Bruce. (Itâs actually pretty interesting from a meta standpoint. The Waynes died in a circle of light - under a Park Row streetlight and the Graysons paralleled that with the spotlight remaining on them long after they hit the ground.)
And Bruce looked into the eyes of little 8-10 year-old Dick Grayson, and saw himself. But more than that, he (Bruce) saw an opportunity to change things for him (Dick). So that Dick would not end up like him.
(Want to know a cool thing? The reason why Dickâs relationship with Bruce is different to the approach Bruce took to Jason, Tim and Damian? Age difference. Bruce is about 14-18 years older than Dick. Putting him in that weird spot where you could simultaneously be a teen parent or an older sibling. Bruce has a more Older-Brother-Promoted-to-Parent relationship with Dick than father-son. Itâs why in the Rebirth Nightwing vs Hush Prelude to the Wedding issue, Dick thought he could be a candidate for Best Man).
This is also the reason why I love Dickâs and Damianâs relationship so much is because it directly parallels Bruceâs and his. I donât quite know what the age difference is post-Rebirth (and I tend to outright ignore the New 52 at times) but since Rebirth tends to mirror Pre-Flashpoint more than not, I think the age difference between Dick and Damian is about... 14-16 years? Again, simultaneously a teen parent and older sibling.
This is also why I donât think a Damian as the first Dark Squire would work, because Bruce would not be in a good place to help out a child. Nor will there be the same connection that there was between him and Dick. Damian being first would probably ruin Batman for ever taking on someone in the âapprenticeâ role.
So after Bruce (eventually, inevitably) takes Dick in, Bruce is forced to realise that he has to be more careful because he has to be there for Dick.
This is when Bruce fully embraces the amount of Crazy Prepared heâd need to be to be.
And then Dick (at 8-10 years-old! Seriously we talk about the amount of detective skill Tim has to figure out Batmanâs and Robinâs identities... But we donât talk about the amount of charisma, courage and will it takes to out-stubborn the Batman???) makes his way onto the streets (and Bruce canât stop him so he has to help him). So now what does Bruce have to do?
There is a rule medics and first responders have to follow: Protect yourself in order to save others.
Bruce is no longer allowed to accept dying as an option (until Dick is old enough to take care of himself). This forces Batman to work situations to his advantage so Batman and Robin can both come home.
Basically, Dick made Batman evolve into the Batman we know and expect today.
Batmanâs relationship with the police significantly improved after Dick Grayson debuted as Robin. Batmanâs relationship with other Justice Leaguers improved after Dick Grayson debuted as Robin. Batmanâs relationship with Wonder Woman and especially Superman/Clark Kent improved after Robin.
So letâs remove Dick from the lineup and stick him at the end as the youngest then. And... put Damian as the eldest son... thatâs... not going to work.
Hey Damian. Where did you go?
Remember the timeline. Without Dick as the eldest Bruce can continue to be reckless. Batman was a suicide mission until Robin stepped in.
No Dick? Batman continues to be reckless. Reckless Batman? Dead Batman. The Al Ghuls and the League of Shadows/Assassins? Probably would have nuked Gotham and Bludhaven. Also Damian Wayne will not have his male genetic donor because... Without Dick Grayson as the eldest son/brother? Batman would not have survived to catch the eye of the League of Shadows/Assassins.
It is necessary for Dick to be the âeldest sonâ otherwise the rest of Bat!Lore will not fall into place. Dick was Bruceâs more traditionally heroic foil from the start without which we would have a dead Bruce Wayne before Batman could take off.Â
TLDR:
Robin was created as Dickâs Tribute to his dead family. If Dick wasnât the oldest - Batmanâs partner (if he would even have one!) would NOT be called Robin.
Bruce and Dick met very early into his career as Batman. If they didnât meet Bruce would have carried on his reckless path and possibly DIED before Damian could even be âconceivedâ.
And that, my friends, is the tea.

Age Reversal AU
Prompt: For the age reversal one can you just do headcannnons for what it's like around the manor and on patrol?
Prompt: Can you write how everything would have turned out in an Age reversal AU?
I love these Age Reversal AUâs!!! They are awesome! I NEED some more people to request these!!
You and Damian arrive at the Manor when youâre 10 years old. Both of you are League of Assassin trained and fully expect your father to make you fight to the death to decide who will be his successor. Instead Bruce teaches the two of you that killing is wrong and offers you and your brother a chance to help him in his crusade.
You decide on the name Sparrow, and Damian chooses Robin. So, two birds and bat set out to protect Gotham. Itâs good for a while.
Timothy Drake is an anomaly, not someone you ever expected to find out your secret identity. But one day when youâre sitting and drinking tea in a local coffee shop, a scrawny kid climbs into the seat opposite of you and starts showing you pictures. You decide right then and there that you will be keeping this child, so you bring him back to the Manor. Timothy tells you that his parents are gone most of the time and that he is usually left by himself. If Bruce doesnât take him in, youâll make him your own partner. No way in hell will you let this delicate baby bird fly alone anymore.
Damian is not happy when you bring the kid home. In fact, your brother refuses to speak to you for a week, and Bruce refuses to take part in his training. You see how much Batmanâs rejection hurts your baby bird, so you take him under your wing. You help him design his own costume, and when Damian refuses to give up Robin, you decide that Timâs name will be Red Robin. Eventually Bruce decides to take Timothy out on Patrol, mainly because the kid threatened to sneak out on his own if Bruce didnât take Tim with him. Timothy even manages to wedge his way into Damianâs heart. So when his parents are killed while they are traveling, itâs only natural to adopt Tim officially. Unfortunately, your baby birdâs flight is cut short by a madman with a crowbar. When you try and go after the Joker both Damian and Bruce lock you in a cell in the Batcave and refuse to let you out until youâve calmed down. You go and visit Timothyâs grave every day.
Jason is the complete opposite of Timothy. Jason is a little ball of rage, and he immediately takes to Damian. You fight against your father and brother when they want to bring Jason into the mission. You donât want another one of your brothers to die for this. Unfortunately, you donât really get a say in the matter when Jason steals the Red Robin suit in order to rescue you, Batman, and Robin. Jason doesnât want to be Red Robin, though. He doesnât want to parade around in a dead boys costume, and decides to make up his own persona. He becomes the Red Hood, and even though Bruce hates guns you manage to convince your father to let Jason use rubber bullets. Marksmanship had been Jasonâs strong point, and you refused to lose another family member just because they arenât using their strongest skillset.
Despite your best efforts Jason is almost killed. The Joker escapes Arkham again, but this time you and Damian are more wary. You two keep a closer eye on your youngest family member. Damian manages to save Jason, and you finally put an end to the Joker. Your father is angry at you, he strips you of your title as a vigilante, and bans you from the Justice League. So, you return home, to the League of Assassins, where you find your mother tending to a boy that looks much too familiar.
Timothy is alive, was brought back by the Lazarus Pit. No one knows how Talia found him, or how managed to come back from the dead after being buried for six months. But the only thing that matters is that heâs alive. Heâs more volatile, angrier, heâs also grown, but heâs still your little brother, your baby bird. You travel around the world with him, going to the various Masters, helping Tim learn every skill they offer and improving your own along the way. Once youâve learned all you can, you and Tim decide to go back to Gotham. Tim doesnât blame Bruce for what happened, he understands why Bruce couldnât kill the Joker, but that doesnât make him any less angry at Bruce for bringing another kid in to join his crusade.
Tim moves back into the Manor, mainly to keep an eye on Jason and make sure that nothing happens to the kid. You also manage to help your little brother mend his relationship with Damian, help them finally accept each other as brothers. Tim starts calling Jason Little Wing, and the nickname sticks. Eventually Bruce lets you patrol as Sparrow again.
To celebrate yours and Timâs return, Bruce decides to take everyone to the circus. Everything is going perfectly, you even meet the acrobats that will be performing later. Youâre actually quite enjoying yourself, that is until Mary and John Grayson fall to their death, leaving their eight-year-old son standing over their crumbled and bloody bodies. Itâs second nature to push your way through the crowd and scoop up the child. Richard Grayson clings to you, sobbing heavily into your collar. Of course, the police take the child at first, but it isnât even a full day before you go with your father to bring him back to Wayne Manor.
Dick is a surprisingly smart kid. Tim offers to help Dick learn English, and help him get caught up with his education. Dick takes to learning quickly, heâs always eager for his lessons. Unfortunately, the kidâs a little too smart, he finds his way to the Batcave within the first week that heâs lived in the Manor. And of course, itâs Damian who gives up the secret. Somehow the broken little boy had managed to wriggle his way into your twinâs heart, and so Damian gives him whatever he wants.
When Damian takes over as Batman when Bruce goes missing, he makes Dick his Robin. The two work surprisingly well together, Robins new bright demeaner helping to curb the new Batmanâs temper. Even when Bruce comes back Dick remains Robin and Damian becomes Nightwing.
Being the only girl in a Manor with your father, four brothers, and Alfred, is interesting. Your brothers all come to you to bitch about each other. And somehow, at least three times a week, all of your brothers end up climbing into your bed at night for a big cuddle-fest. They claim that it is easier to sleep in your large nest-like bed when they have other people around. You just shake your head and start leaving your door unlocked.
Patrol also changes with all of the new vigilantes. It starts to become a rare occurrence to patrol alone, at least one of your brothers will join you about halfway through the night. Jason is usually the one who finds you, or sometimes Damian if heâs feeling lonely. Tim typically patrols with Kon when heâs in Gotham, or with the Titans when heâs in San Francisco. Robin usually stays with Batman, or sometimes Nightwing when he and Batman get into an argument.
All in all, you love all of your brothers. Youâd do anything for any one of your brothers, had killed for them before and would gladly do it again. No matter how stoic Damian was, how sarcastic Tim was, how angry Jason could be, or how grating Dicks optimism could be, you would always be there for them. Youâd always be the glue that held this crazy ass family together.
