In case I haven’t already talked about the subject enough the biggest argument I’ve seen with people defending JJ in The Fight™️ is that Spencer brought up his addiction and his sobriety is not her problem.
HAVE WE BEEN WATCHING THE SAME SHOW???????
this is the one and ONLY time he has EVER brought up his addiction, in fact he went through lengths to keep it hidden. When he goes to the meeting he tells the team he was “seeing a movie” he is a complete bitch to Emily and never says “sorry I was a bitch I’m going through withdrawals.” She probably just chalks it up to Spencer having a bad day and she ends up being his emotional support person. Which is another reason why her “death” hits him so hard, I don’t think anyone knows how important Emily is to him. Sure she picks on him “he’s so lifelike” but he’s like a little brother to her they probably have conversations in forgiven languages and go see foreign films together, she’s the only one that supports his interests and doesn’t shut him down in the form of a “joke.”
Back to Spencers addiction, which he went through all on his own only for him to bring it up ONCE means it must have been serious. I think he’s doing a good job of being sober himself so this sentence needs to be taken more seriously then it does. No Spencer’s sobriety needs to be taken more seriously and the whole dilaudid storyline needs to be taken seriously. Especially when JJ just casually talks about it to Tara and Luke IMMEDIATELY AFTER Penelope SPECIFICALLY said she doesn’t want to talk about it, and as we all know PENELOPE CANT KEEP A SECRET FOR SHIT. Spencer telling JJ that he was thinking about taking dilaudid wasn’t anything less then expressing how much pain losing Emily was all for it to be a lie. A lie told by his “best friend” that he went to to help him grieve.

s4 episode 21 thoughts
this episode had me entirely TRANSFIXED. at no moment did i know what was going to happen next, and i badly wanted to learn!! rejoice: a skinner episode!!! where he is driven to desperation by how much he loves his agents! i truly do not think i could have asked for more!!
(okay, scully wasn't there, which is usually my number one priority... but hear me out: the episode was still SO good despite her absence, which is a testament to some HIGH QUALITY WRITING)
so!! back to my live report from approximately 24 hours ago, when i began my journey into this rollercoaster of an ep. take it away, past juni:
after last episode, i have gone through all of the emotions known to humankind. i am interested to see where we will go next, having ventured into those uncharted waters. perhaps these waters will be more… charted.
A SKINNER EPISODE!!! he’s framed for murder AGAIN??? he can’t keep being put in these circumstances bro 😭
why would skinner cover up a death caused by bees??? that seems pretty cut and dry. bees did it. nobody’s fault. unless they’re secret FBI bees the world isn’t supposed to know about…? obviously the doctor is going to say “yup, bees did it, not humans”, right?? i mean if someone dies of bee stings i assume it’s very obvious??? and that no murder charges would be filed?? because?? bees did it??
(author's note: lmao. what a fool i was)
skinner. i am ready to learn more about you.
we open at a place that ships packages. this woman (jane) needs a cigarette. her friend (later revealed to be named misty) is telling her to quit smoking. i’m not sure that is an effective strategy.
jane runs to the bathroom and is going to smoke in there??? not even outside??? what was going ON in the 90's!!!
but oh no! some bees emerge from the bathroom sink. MANY MANY MANY BEES. someone please call that lady on tiktok that scoops hives out with her hands while whispering into the camera “another great day of saving the beeeeeeees” (god i hope she’s doing well)
bee swarm of intense proportions is going on rn. can you buy bees at the store? is that what they did for filming this? order a bunch of bees at the bee store?? huh.
anyway, they’re approaching jane the cigarette lady very very quickly. they’re in the stall!!! she’s smacking at them!!
but cig lady’s friend misty is getting concerned. she goes to the bathroom to fetch her friend where she finds… an empty bathroom?? free of bees. with only a smoking cigarette on the floor and DEAD JANE COVERED IN BEE STINGS!!!!!!!
WHERE DID THE BEES GO MAN!!!
dang. those bee stings are gnarly. shoutout makeup team.
skinner is looking at jane's files. why does this interest you, skinner?? why is he deleting them?? probably because he does not consider insect related cases FBI matters
WAIT! HE WASN’T ON HIS COMPUTER…. HE WAS ON MULDER’S!!!
WHAT!!! (we need to give this reveal some space to sink in)
... he knows mulder's passwords……?
skinner. WHAT are you hiding!!! i used to hate him and then i sort of liked him and then i hated him and now i am affectionate towards him. we must not begin the cycle again!!!
well, now i’m invested.
intro time. and i'm still laughing about that tweet of scully serving three quarters profile in her badge pic
after so many shortened intros, this one felt long!!!
skinner is… leaving his house? he has a bookend that looks like an elephant. now what does that say about him… and a what looks like a buddha in the corner. IS this his house??? buddhist skinner confirmed?
he’s taking off a “do not enter” sign and going into the bathroom where the bee incident went down, armed with just a flashlight. and he finds the cigarette, which he flushes. he’s cleaning the bathroom floor with a portable vacuum!! WHAT DOES HE KNOW!!!!!!!
i’m literally soooo invested, i’m not even joking. his ass is on his hands and knees SCRUBBING. what has brought assistant director skinner to this forbidden janitorial work!?!
this is very dark though, screen wise. had to up the brightness.
he finds something oozing from the ceiling. and he sniffs it before wiping it away. gross. is it honey? weird neon honey?
now he’s picking the lock of the MORGUE!!!!!!! is he gonna steal jane’s body??!!!!!! bro what the HELL!!!!
someone in the coroner’s office hears a distant thud and almost finds him TAKING HER BODY!!!!!!!!! it seems he narrowly escaped!!! he hid around the corner and took jane with him…. to a very weird place. he’s climbing up a ladder. is it an incinerator?
bro, he must be strong as hell. anyway, he takes her body and places it in a fire.
my guess is that somehow she was contaminated with secret bee poison and he needs to make sure no one else gets sick from it????? by incinerating the body?? but that doesn’t do anything about the bees themselves??
he’s at the police station now, asking about jane. HE GIVES HIS NAME AS MULDER????? he has a fake badge and everything… omg do NOT get my boy in trouble!!
the policeman shows him a vial of blood from jane, which he replaces with a vial from his own pocket, and wipes the pen he took. ohhhh what is going on!!!!!!
so now he’s going back to his car with the blood. but someone runs out to see him!!! calling “agent mulder”!
it’s the detective who emailed the pictures to the REAL mulder!!! he somehow knows that mulder is part of the x files (which i feel shouldn't be information random people should know) but skinner is trying to say that nothing here warrants his involvement.
he is deeply suspicious. but someone is watching him!!!!!!!! who is this mystery fellow watching this go down????
skinner is get undressed at 3:55 AM. and it IS his house with the elephant and the buddha!!!
SKINNER FOLLOWS THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS AND THE EIGHTFOLD PATH, LET'S GOOOO 🔥🔥🔥
(that is a more interesting interpretation than him keeping a buddha around as decor, but hey, pick your headcanon as you please)
and who shows up but REAL MULDER!!!! AT 4 AM??? BRO WHAT IS HE DOING?? he should be on his couch!!!! sleeping!!
he has been trying to reach skinner…. OHHHH HE CLOCKED RIGHT AWAY THAT THERE IS A COVERUP!!!
and the detective was SHOT AND KILLED!!!!
(my friend called me at this point to tell me that liam payne died. this has absolutely no relevance on the episode, but it did lead to me pausing for a half hour to share this news with others. and it would feel inappropriate to not include it in the write up)
mulder knows someone forged his name at the lab and he just wants skinner’s help!!
NO!!! SCULLY IS IN THE HOSPITAL SO SHE CAN’T HELP…. HER DOCTOR SAYS HER TUMOR MIGHT BE METASTASIZING… NO NO NO not my poor sweet scully...
no scully this episode…. this is sad :(
skinner is doubly gagged…… maybe even triply gagged between the revelation of the detective being killed, mulder being onto him, and scully being in the hospital. he is flabbergasted, one might even say.
he’s going somewhere in very tight pants. someone tries to hit him with a car?!?
IT’S CSM!!!! and the guy from before who was watching the exchange with the detective go down!!!!!!
ohhhh skinner has GRABBED him by the collar and is yelling that he MURDERED him!!! but CSM says to keep his voice down
“i wouldn’t get too comfortable on your moral high ground, mr. skinner. this only happened because you left your job unfinished” <- hey WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??
(i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again… CSM’s voice is so soothing. tell me a story, scary man)
skinner says that he has followed CSM’s instructions…. and when skinner points out that the detective didn’t have to die, he says that he is “in no position to question the terms of our arrangement”
is this the deal he negotiated with to try and save scully???? and is it even working if she’s in the hospital right now??
he tries to say they have no arrangement and walk away, but CSM basically says well, i’ll have my bestie here kill you. and so skinner saunters off in his very tight pants, defeated.
he wakes up on the couch to a phone ringing. and it’s mulder saying that jane's body was stolen, and all the evidence has been cleaned. “slow down” “i’m sorry sir, but i can’t” <- his brain was in overdrive!!
mulder figured out the replacement blood wasn’t jane's because she has a different folate serum level and skinner seems to be cursing himself for such a mistake. a good catch on mulder's part.
he has one lead, and it’s the make of the gun. but skinner realizes something… his gun isn’t in his desk!!! WHAT!! NO NO NOOOOOO
he calls CSM and growls that “you can’t do this”…….  he says that the man died so skinner could have what he wanted… what does that mean…
A CURE FOR AGENT SCULLY??????
WHAT!!!!
what does that have to do with the bees!!!
“if anything happens to her, i will expose you” <- OHHHH HE IS NOT MESSING AROUND!!! he said i'll get us both thrown in prison if you fuck with my agents!!!!
“i don’t care what happens to me” <- OHHHH MY GOD I’M RIPPING OFF MY SHIRT IN BIBLICAL LEVELS OF GRIEF. he loves her.
“agent scully stands to live a full and healthy life. i would hope the same for you, mr. skinner” <- no no no no no. please don’t kill him. please? for me?
(this made me picture a world without skinner and it was very sad. do not make me imagine this ever again. i won't stand for it)
this episode has me HOOKED!!!!!
back at the shipping warehouse, skinner is being led to the restroom. the bee incident only went down yesterday!!!! he finds more of the yellow goop… and says he needs a hammer
he’s beating the hell out of that wall and finds it filled with honeycomb!! but this is probably EVIL honeycomb, right?
why yes, of course. he brings some of the evil honey to someone in maryland with a very cool in-house lab. oh, to be a maryland scientist with an incredible laboratory in the home that i own, because homes were plentiful in those days.
would it help to know that this bee can kill people? “any kind of bee can be lethal” <- well that is not super helpful in this particular case. nor is this fact comforting.
when it seems all hope is lost, bee scientist man finds some royal jelly and a larvae!! so hopefully soon they will have some answers. and now i know what royal jelly is.
oh, turns out 6 months ago mulder called the same guy asking about killer bees… well, he is always up to such activity. he was probably also calling a marine biologist about the loch ness monster. he keeps those DMV area professors BUSY
(author's note: now knowing what this is referring to, i think it is so fascinating to place s4 within a timeline of 6 months!!!!)
skinner is going through the x files folders down in mulder's office. and why the hell does one say “foo fighters” in the background!!! has the FBI finally found what the foo that they are fighting is???
OH!!! he finds the pictures of the child clones working in the honey farm!!! from earlier!! i was wondering if we were ever going to revisit that!!
he sees covarrubias' number on there so he starts to call her… omg…
(i have never seen one of those big rolly things of contact lists before)
but just as he is about to call, mulder walks in!!! he has pictures of the parking lot from the night of the Event… pictures that show a very blurry skinner that he cannot recognize AS skinner, but he’s going to take them over to special photo department, and oh no. oh no.
mulder asks what skinner wanted to tell him and he scrambles to just say he wanted to check on his progress… and i cannot tell if mulder believes him or not
skinner calls covarrubias about the bees. and she has to tell him that there was no bee evidence at all. so skinner counters with: well what if *i* have the bees??? well, then that would change things.
covarrubias is really pretty. while i may not like that she basically became deep throat 3.0, she is very pretty
bee scientist comes home to find all the lights out!!!!! his lights are covered in bees!!! it seems they broke through!!! no no no no!!! they cover his windows!! and he is being swarmed…..
a terrible (or perhaps fitting) end for a man of bee science
mulder calls skinner down to show him the body of the bee scientist. and he had symptoms of SMALLPOX???? they put the smallpox in the BEES???? oh my god. new worst nightmare just dropped.
skinner wants to know how he contracted a disease that no longer exists, and yes, it did in fact come from the bees.
mulder thinks that someone is trying to revive the world’s deadliest disease!! oh my god!! how does this relate to the aliens???? i thought i knew at one point but now i don’t!!
skinner asks mulder to tell him what he finds when he goes over to the photo department…
back at the shipping warehouse, skinner is talking to misty, jane’s friend. she clearly knows something but isn’t saying it. jane was misty’s best friend. and they were trying to go on vacation together. </3
OH. THE MEN WHO CAME THERE SAID IF THEY TALKED TO ANYONE SHE WOULD LOSE HER JOB….. they wanted a package!!!!! a damaged package!!
and it was stored right next to the bathroom where jane was found?!!
shipping bees… package gets damaged… bees get loose… smallpox bees everywhere… very bad very bad…
luckily, she can look up the tracking number!!!
back at the photo lab, someone who is not pendrell but looks like him is working on the photo. and mulder says that it is very important to him.
oh, his sad sad face as he realizes who it is…. like somebody punched a baby in front of him.
back at the alien groupchat meeting!! (again i think they’re called the syndicate?? i googled something once and that came up)
CSM is showing them the last remaining bee, saying all others were destroyed. and the body has been sanitized. CSM tries to say it has been taken care of. but the others want answers on what went down.
“should we presume that the trial run is proceeding as planned?” “it’s already begun” <- HEY WHAT DOES THAT MEAN…… and why is the next shot KIDS ON A PLAYGROUND………… with a BEE BUZZING……….
kid gets stung by a bee…… as a ton of other kids ALSO get stung by bees!!!!!!! no!! not the kids!!!!
one kid trips and falls, and when the teacher tries to save him, she is swarmed!!!!!!! and the little kid has horrible marks all over him!!!! as do the other kids!!!!
skinner is here at this hospital to see what is going on… and he tells the doctor that the kids need to be treated for smallpox. this does not go over well with the doctor!!! he says that not only is smallpox no longer around, but it has an 8 day incubation period. well okay. i guess. things have changed.
covarrubias is here!! hold up is her name MARITA and i’ve been getting it wrong this whole time?! editing this post to refer to her by last name instead. i cannot tell if that is a subtitle error or the Truth. i’m sorry miss covarrubias. coh-vah-roo-bee-us.
she called asking about the contents of 7 packages sent to south carolina!!
“you’re a little late to do anything about it” “so are you, apparently” <- ohhh get his ass
she asks wtf is going on, and that she needs to tell the UN so don’t mess around. he hypothesizes that it’s an experiment using bees as carriers for disease. and when skinner says he hasn’t told mulder, she straight up asks if he’s involved OHHHH!! but he denies it.
she says he has to come forward…..
back home. he starts to dial a number but stops, pulling his gun (which is now back in his desk!) out
AND OHHHHH MY GOD MULDER IS HERE AT SKINNER'S PLACE. “PUT THE GUN DOWN AND MOVE AWAY FROM THE DESK” <-OHHHH NO. IT’S GOING DOWN.
ugh this is gonna be a two parter, isn’t it… i had a sneaking suspicion
(it actually wasn't. but you can't blame me there. it was looking pretty close)
OHHHHHHH MULDER WENT THERE…. “you’ve been working with the smoking man all along. you knew when they had my father killed, and you knew when they took scully” <- OHHH MY GOD. his rage is barely contained and he looks like a damn animal.
skinner points out that the lock in his desk was forced open, why would he force his own lock open? and that the police are probably on their way right now.
oh my gosh… i’m holding my breath… is mulder going to believe him? will skinner tell the truth?
“i advised you against a certain course of action some time ago concerning agent scully. i didn’t follow my own advice” <- oh my god........... the confession.............
he was willing to admit to making a deal with the devil for scully... does she know how loved she is...?
mulder gets quiet and says “give me the gun” <- WHAT IS HE THINKING?
someone is firing it into some water? i guess that is how you figure out what the murder weapon is. and the guy says he is absolutely certain this is it.
mulder says they find it in a sewer grate around the corner (but for a moment i fully believed he was going to say it was his). the expert guy breaks the news that unless forensics pulled a print, it’s untraceable because the serial number was cleared off.
skinner leaves at this news. he almost smiles, and i wondered if the expert was going to call him out on such odd behavior. and from there, he goes to meet CSM.
ohhhhh he has the gun to CSM's head!!! “agent scully is dying and you haven’t done a damn thing about it” <- HOLY SHIT!!! CSM’s smirking…. the right bastard
he claims that if skinner kills him, he’ll also kill scully… and that he had saved her life before when he had her returned to mulder.
“but you’ll never know if you pull the trigger, will you?” <- OHHHHHH MY GOD. is he bluffing or not!!!!! how would he have a way to cure her beyond letting one of the aliens he keeps on hold touch her???
SKINNER FIRES THREE SHOTS??????? DID HE SAY FUCK IT AND KILL HIM. IS THIS THE END OF CSM?????
NO. they were JUST behind his head. oh the tension was THICK.
message received. i hope. whoever is on the phone is asking about skinner, saying mulder will be contacting them soon.
it's covarrubias????? she says she’ll tell him what CSM wants her to tell him. WHAT!!!!!
“tell him what he wants to hear” <- HEY WHAT. IS HE GOING TO LIE AND SAY SCULLY IS OKAY????
thus concludes the episode.
I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS.
okay, first of all, covarrubias works for CSM. i feel silly for not picking up on that because we KNEW she works for the UN, famously the host of the alien groupchat parties, but i didn't even put it together at all. but just because she works for him doesn't really mean anything, because deep throat and x also nominally worked for him. to what extent is still unclear- maybe they did everything on his orders, stringing mulder along to keep him distracted from learning the truth- or maybe there were aspects of corruption they felt were "safe" to be exposed and lead him along the path for this deeper trap that CSM is laying for him. so we cannot make a covarrubias moral judgement just yet- but we also know we cannot trust her.
next. skinner loves his agents so much, dude. willing to kill AND die for scully to be okay... please think on this for a moment. and then think about it some more. how he told mulder to never make a deal with the devil, then did it himself even though he has so much to lose as the assistant director. and for the rest of his life he'll have to live with knowing he assisted in his murky and horrific plans, including infecting children with the world's deadliest diseases, because he could not stand to lose scully.
there are many kinds of love, some of which are complex and indescribable and cannot be inserted into conventional roles, and i think that is exactly what is going on here. the incalculable love for skinner and his agents.
okay. and mulder trusting skinner SO ABSOLUTELY. showing up at his apartment at 4 AM to ask for help. offering to take out the trash, and the constant updates he provided him on the case. the way his face FELL when he realized it was skinner in the photo. and how he came to believe that skinner knew about or was perhaps even behind the calls to kill his father and kidnap scully. how betrayed and horrified he was. how he must have recalled his mantra of "trust nobody", how he must have been kicking himself for falling into a false sense of security for a man who risked so much for them, but must have, in his mind, been luring him deeper and deeper into a trap. imagine all of that grief about scully being abducted and then getting sick and the loss of his father being placed at skinner's feet. mulder, who never for a second doubted that skinner was innocent in his earlier brush with the law. imagine how incredibly painful that "realization" would have been. and then how he wanted so badly to believe him, but after so many betrayals, it would take more than just a scratched desk for him to do so. but he does. god.
there is an addictive substance placed between the relationships of skinner to mulder and scully. something almost familiar. something almost entirely unspoken except for in a foundational and silent trust.
this episode was really, really good. probably my favorite of the season! i was trying to figure out what exactly was going on and why. it really raised the stakes for skinner, mulder, AND scully in a bunch of different directions: skinner being in CSM's pocket, covarrubias being in CSM's pocket, mulder believing her as she feeds him lies, scully's illness getting worse... whew!
more than anything i love to see the trust between characters tested and pulled, and their bonds put to the limits. so i am very pleased. i will likely be thinking of mulder's animalistic rage as he held the gun to skinner's face for a long, long time. and how skinner quietly admitted to doing what he told mulder not to. by jove. an excellent piece of television.

You drive back to the police station and see JJ, Emily, and Penelope looking at the board with all the victims on it. You join the group and look at all the victims on the board.
"He sure does like his blondes. Not a good date, though. Too stabby," Penelope says.
"Less so with Michelle and the girl we found this morning. We profiled that he must have known her with the way she was found. I think she caught him in the act or even saw the report on the news. He had to have killed her to keep his secret," you say. "His name is also Vincent. He was caught on footage in a camera shop when he bought tiny cameras for his glasses."
"Every one of these murders happens during a month in Spring. Spring must be the stressor for Vincent."
"Do you think my video was done in the Spring?"
"There's a good chance."
"Okay. The 80s, Spring, and Buffalo. I will search for homicides and see if I can make a connection."
Penelope gets to work on her laptop.
"All of the victims except for Michelle were killed within a year of each other. Victim ten, Joyce Wolcott, was stabbed thirty-two times, and Michelle was stabbed just once two years later. What's missing from Michelle's murder is any sign of rage or overkill. Instead, on the tape we see signs of remorse. A complete and sudden emotional change. It's absolutely fascinating."
"I was just thinking the same thing," you grin at your boyfriend.
"I love you Reid and Y/N, but the stuff you find fascinating is sad. Okay, the woman in my video looks a lot like the ones on your board, don't you think?"
Penelope shows the clearest picture of the woman she can get.
"He's killing her over and over again."
"Guys, there was an actual witness in Joyce's murder. A young boy. Her son. His name is Stanley."
Penelope looks up the details of Joyce's murder as quickly as she can.
"Neighbors called the police when they heard her son screaming for his mother. They were both found in the backyard, and she was dead."
"He saw the whole thing?" you gasp.
"If he did, why didn't the unsub kill the only living witness? Did they interview him? Did he see the killer?"
"He didn't see anything. He's blind from birth."
"Where is he now?" you wonder.
"He was foster-homed after her death. His father died in a car accident years before this."
"Tell me he's still in Buffalo."
"He is. I'm sending over the address now."
"I'll call Derek and Rossi from the car. Thanks, Pen." You text Derek and Rossi from the car and meet up with them at Stanley's house. There is a young boy sitting on the front porch reading a book in Braille. "How's a going? We're looking for Stanley Wolcott."
"Who wants to know?"
"My name is Y/N. I'm with the FBI."
"FBI? Cool," he chuckles.
Something clicks inside your head, and you take a wild shot in the dark.
"Is today your birthday?"
"Can I help you?" Kate comes out before Stanley can answer.
Kate is Stanley's foster mom whom he's been living with for a while.
"Yes, I'm Agent Y/N, this is Agent Derek Morgan and Agent Dave Rossi. We're with the FBI. I'm sorry to do this today of all days, but we need to talk to Stanley. It's urgent."
Stanley and Kate escort you inside their house to talk in private.
"How long have you had Stanley?"
"Nine months. The adoption papers came through last week, so we're moving to California." Stanley walks away from his mom and clicks his tongue to navigate his way. "Uh, Stanley's been blind since birth. His mom didn't want him to use a cane, so he clicks. It's called echolocation. It's where the sound bounces off objects, kind of like a bat uses sonar."
"I'm the Batman," Stanley grins.
Derek walks over to him and kneels down to be on his level even though Stanley is looking nowhere near where Derek's face is.
"Hey, batman. My colleagues and I need to ask you some questions."
Stanley reaches out to touch Derek's face since this is how he sees what people look like.
"This is about my mom, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is."
"Have you found him? I can feel a lie."
"We're looking for him, Stan. We could use your help. Now, what I'm asking you to do probably won't be easy."
"Will it help you catch him?"
"It might."
"Are you sure about this?" Kate asks nervously not knowing exactly what Derek is going to do.
"It's okay. I want to do this."
"Okay, two years ago on that night, you were playing in the snow with your mom, right?"
"Yeah. She said my lips were turning blue. She told me to go in and get warm. She said it was getting dark. I went inside and started to take off my clothes to get warm, but she didn't come back in." Stanley is brought back to that night and looks distressed. "Mom? Mom!"
You get tears at the pain he must be feeling.
"Stanley, what do you hear?"
"The snow is so thick. It covers the house and the yard. Everything's so quiet. I called her but she doesn't call back. I thought I heard my mom."
"Is she talking?"
"Crying."
"What do you do now?"
"Go outside."
"You're doing good, Stanley. You're doing really good. I'm right here, okay? Can you hear your mom now?"
"No. I can't hear anything. I feel... Someone was there. I felt someone there. It's not my mom," he whimpers.
"Okay, that's enough," Kate says and steps behind her son.
"He saw me, didn't he?"
"Yeah, he did."
Hotch calls Rossi to tell him there is another stabbing with someone that looks like Vincent. You hate to bring all this up with Stanley and leave him, but that's exactly what you do. Lynne and Hotch meet up with you at the location where Vincent stabbed someone and left a witness. Two men were going to jump and rob Vincent when he stabbed one of them but not before he was shot. The other one ran away before he was killed like his friend.
When you get there, Hotch and Lynne are talking to the witness who came back.
"He just came out of nowhere. He rolled up on us," he lied.
"Which way was he walking?"
"That way," the kid points east.
"He's heading East."
"So, let me get this straight. You and your friend attempt to rob the guy, your friend shoots the man, he defends himself, and you did nothing? You ran away and called 911?"
"I'm done talking, Fed. I ain't saying nothin'. I want my lawyer."
"You'll get a lawyer. Answer my question," Hotch glares.
"He shot him once," he sighs.
"Where?"
"In the stomach."
"What was he doing when you rolled up on him?" Derek asks.
"He had his head down and was walking real fast like he was late for something."
"When he didn't give you what you wanted, what did he do?"
"At first nothing. He just started making this noise with his tongue."
"What kind of noise?"
The kid shrugs and you step forward.
"Listen to me. Was it like this?" You click your tongue in the same way Stanley did.
"Yeah, just like that." You look back at Derek and Rossi worriedly. "Exactly like that. He slammed Jay with a knife and turned and came after me."
"It's called Echolocation. The tenth victim left behind a blind son who uses echolocation to get around."
"How would the killer know that?"
"Because he saw the boy was blind the night he killed his mother. I think that's why he didn't kill the boy. Today's that kid's birthday. He's the event."
"Henderson, get units to meet us at 6518 Cantwell Drive right now," Derek says.
You rush over there as soon as you can but Stanley is already gone. Vincent must have taken him right after you left. Kate hears the sirens and comes rushing out of the house with tears streaming down her eyes.
"He's gone! He's gone. I thought he was in his room. He said he was tired."
"When was the last time you checked on him?"
"Twenty minutes ago. I just don't understand. He would have had to pass me to get out."
"When you checked on him, was he asleep?"
"He was under the covers."
"Did you hear anything?"
"I heard a car horn beep twice. I looked out the window, but I didn't see anything."
"He's gotta have at least twenty minutes on us," Derek sighs.
"He's gonna kill him, isn't he?" she cries.
"Let's just take a look inside."
You walk inside the house and see Stanley standing by his door. When you walk closer to him, he walks further from you. Vincent is outside the window helping him through. Both of them run to the car that's waiting by the curb. Stanley didn't seem scared. He knows Vincent. You look down and see blood on the window sill.
"There's blood here."
"Oh, God," Kate whispers.
"No, it's not Stan's. I think the man who took him was injured. It's his blood. We think his name is Vincent."
"Vincent?" she gasps. "Stan knew him before he came to me. He's known him for over a year because Vincent was a registered helper in a mentoring program. He comes around from time to time to talk to Stanley."
"Which one?"
"Oh, God. Stan has belonged to so many programs. I can't remember where he met Vincent," she groans.
Derek calls Penelope for further assistance.
"Garcia, we got a name. Vincent."
"Morgan, I'm gonna need a surname, honey."
"She can't remember."
"Can you at least cross-reference Vincent's name with all of the mentor organizations in Buffalo?"
"I think we'll get more from the video."
"We're running out of time. He has the kid."
"Trust me, okay? Give me a second." Penelope types as fast as she can and gets an article published in the mid-80s. "That's her. That's the woman from the film. Her name is Kim Rowlings who was killed in her home. When police arrived, they found her son Vincent Rowlings sitting with the body of his murdered mother. Police believe that he sat with her for more than twenty-four hours."
"He was only nine years old," JJ says from beside Penelope. "He filmed his mother's murder and hid the tape from the police all these years."
"I found it. Vincent Rowlings, 5605 Pearl Street on the East side in Buffalo."
"Tell Hotch we're en route," Emily says.
"They found his address," Derek says to Rossi.
Hotch, Spencer, and Emily head over to Vincent's house, but he isn't there. They find his studio set up where he edits his murders, including his mother's. Penelope calls Hotch and brings in Derek so that you're all communicating on one line. Derek places her on speakerphone so everyone can hear.
"Hotch, you've got Rossi, Y/N, and Morgan."
"We have Stan's foster mother, Kate, here. Stanley is missing, and there's blood on the windowsill."
"Kate, did Vincent take Stan out? Was there a favorite place they liked to go to?" Hotch asks.
"No, I only allow him to see Stan under this roof and with my supervision. He's been coming around more since I told him we were moving away."
"When did you tell Vincent that?"
"Like a week ago. Why?"
"He killed Michelle a week ago. That must be the stressor that triggered Vincent's behavior change."
"Kate, Vincent wrote the number twenty-nine with a circle around it numerous times. Today is the 29th. We believe the circle may represent a specific location. They would have talked about it, or he might even have taken him there before. Did Vincent talk to Stan about adventures that they could take? Places they could visit?"
"I don't know," she sighs in frustration.
"What are Stanley's favorite things to do?" you ask.
"He likes to build things. Vincent used to help him."
Kate shows you the construction sets that are made from plastic. Among them is a ferric wheel that Vincent helped Stan make.
"The Ferris Wheel is a circle. When did they build this?"
"Over the last couple of months. He's been in here every night."
"Garcia, check Buffalo and the surrounding areas for any theme parks, permanent or visiting," Derek says.
"There's a theme park just outside of Buffalo that's happening right now."
"Does it have a Ferris Wheel?"
"Yes."
"Let's go."
Your team meets up with Hotch's team even though Hotch isn't with them. He stayed behind to go over the footage of who else could be victims at the hands of Vincent. There are a ton of people here but you know exactly what Vincent and Stan's energies look like. You don't waste time trying to find out where they are because you can just follow the trail.
"Follow me!"
No one argues with you and follows behind as you run through the theme park. The Ferris Wheel is in the very back of the theme park, and you stop once you reach it. You look to the top and see Vincent and Stan there talking. He looks over and sees the FBI. He knows he's not getting out of this, but since he has an untreated gunshot wound, you don't know if he's going to be alive for much longer.
"I need you to get this kid off the wheel. Do it now." The attendant moves the Ferris Wheel so that the car in which Vincent is in is lowered to the ground. You don't have to touch Vincent to know that he's dead. He knew he was going to die and wanted to bring Stanley here. "Okay, now open it."
"What's going on?" Stanley asks.
"Stanley, it's Derek from the FBI. It's okay. You're going to be okay."
"Vincent, what's going on?"
"Listen to me. I need you to come with me. Let go of Vincent. Just come with me. I'm getting you out of here."
Derek picks Stan up, but the small child looks to where he thinks Vincent is.
"Vincent?"
Derek brings Stan over to an unoccupied bench while Lynne checks to see if Vincent is alive. Kate rushes through the crowd and hugs her son tightly.
"Honey!" she cries.
Derek tries to leave to give them a moment but Stanely stops him.
"Derek?"
Derek walks back over to Stanely and kneels so that Stan can feel his face.
"What's up, kid?"
"Did he kill my mom?"
Stan can feel a lie so if Derek lies, then he'll have his answer. Though, he doesn't say anything to him. Stanley breaks out in tears and cries against his foster mom's chest.

Chapter 2: “Allies come in all forms”
It took a couple of days for the Fentons to calibrate the scanners as well as double and triple check that they were safe to use without hurting Danny. After that, Jack and Maddie worked diligently to create a stabilising agent to help Danielle. Danny couldn’t believe that they were finally going to have some closure with Dani and actually help her in the right way. Then, just as all their planning and preparations were coming together, it was time for Danny and Jazz to go back to school.
With the whole end-of-the-world thing, plus the investigation into Vlad, and the Fentons subsequent partnership with the FBI, suffice to say the kids had been allowed to take a couple of weeks off from school. This gave the young ghost hero and his family plenty of time to adjust to their new norm. Even though some people knew Danny's secret identity now, not everyone did and the family as well as the FBI preferred to keep it that way– both to give Danny some semblance of normalcy, and to prevent excitable members of the public from acting foolish.
The Casper High administration knew that because the family had been involved with the Disasteroid task force, the kids were approved for the time off ‘recommendation’ made by the government. The next Monday both kids would be returning to school. For Danny, that meant it was time to accept the fact that he was going to tell Mr. Lancer his secret.
Although the plan had been to keep Danny’s identity top secret, Maddie suggested that they at least tell Mr. Lancer. Not only was he the teacher that sent Danny to detention the most often, he was also the vice principal. As such, he had a big impact on Danny’s grades. Getting him on their side would surely be a big help.
Jazz wasn’t so sure about that, and Danny agreed. Lancer knowing wouldn't change the fact that he was still going to have to skip class to fight troublemaking ghosts all the time.
It was surprisingly Jack who reminded them that their parents were in fact ghost hunters. They could compare their information with Danny’s and update their techniques to hunt ghosts correctly, especially the ones that appeared during school hours. Maddie added that it was okay to ask for help and sharing some of the work would help Danny learn to manage his time better in a way that would aid him not only in school, but in life as well.
After a lot of back and forth, in the end even Jazz saw it as a good solution. When Danny told Sam and Tucker, at first they were sceptical of the plan, just like he had been, however, with a bit of explaining, they understood why it was a good idea. They knew their friend needed better time management skills after all.
Now, the night before the first day of school, the Fenton family was once again sitting at their kitchen table planning something. It always seemed like the best time for these conversations was over dinner.
“So, just to be clear,” Danny began his summary. “You guys are going to drive us to school in the morning so you can meet with Lancer after first period –which I do have with him. And if anybody asks why you’re hanging around the school, you’re going to say that you’re tracking ghostly activity, right?” “Yeah, that’s the plan, son. It’s that simple!” Jack replied confidently. “You know, you two still need to say that you and ‘Danny’ have finally decided to work together.” Jazz’s air quotes around her brother's name let their parents know she was specifically referring to Danny Phantom. “What are you talking about Jazz? I think just about the whole world knows that...” Danny trailed off when it hit him that she meant Phantom, not Fenton.
“Well, technically, they know that we as a family–and the rest of Amity Park, for that matter–worked with you, Little Brother. But Mom and Dad haven’t exactly said anything official about a permanent truce, or anything else really…” Jazz clarified. “I mean, the people that know, you know… they, well, they know that’s not entirely true, but it’s also not a lie… I mean, they are working with their son...”
“I see what you mean, darling, and you’re right…” Maddie rubbed her chin in thought. “We could mention it at the school before we meet with Mr. Lancer–if anyone asks, that is–that the Fentons are working permanently with the ghost boy. And once we explain your… situation to Mr. Lancer, well, he would understand why we were telling people now.”
They hadn’t thought about how it would look, working with Danny Phantom out of nowhere. They hadn’t thought they needed to make some sort of announcement, but they did. In order to keep people from wondering why, in order to keep Danny’s secret safe.   “Your Mom is right! That would also help to keep your secret, well, secret… wait...” said Jack, getting confused with the whole conversation. Danny sighed, “I guess, you guys are right… but please… don’t overdo it… I can handle it, I have been handling all of it fine.” He was beginning to worry that if their parents allied themselves with him, they were going to be in danger, or something along those lines.
“Don’t worry Little Brother, I have anticipated the most likely questions that people might ask after they hear that our parents are working with Phantom and written them down on these cue cards,” at this she pulled a small stack of cards out of thin air and handed them to their parents, “as well as some pre-planned answers. Stick to these and you won’t overdo it.”  “Oh, that’s great, Jazzy–pants!” said Jack, with a big smile. His children never ceased to amaze him with their ingenuity. He was so proud.
“We’ll read over these, don’t worry Jazz. And thank you,” Maddie added, smiling proudly as well. “Okay… I guess that’s it then,” said Danny feeling a bit defeated. There was nothing he could really do to dissuade his parents.  “Yes, and now it’s getting late, so… kids, bedtime!” Maddie clapped her hands together with cheerful authority. The two teens nodded, said their respective ‘goodnights,’ and went upstairs.
Maddie could see that Danny was still nervous about tomorrow, and she didn’t blame him. Since finding out the truth and helping with the cure for Dani, they had gained a better understanding of how difficult things had been for their son. None of it was easy, but now they had a better idea of what it meant to be a halfa. Although Danny and his parents had learned a lot more about him and what he could do, they also knew that just like Vlad, Danny would continue to grow and develop more powers. Powers that they now knew they were going to be prepared and ready to help him with. After all, they had already managed to isolate Danny’s ghostly signature and alter their weapons so they wouldn't affect him, or Danielle for that matter. Now they only needed to wait for the weekend to finally find Dani.
While Maddie and Jack cleaned up from dinner, the kids met in Danny’s room. Jazz knew her little brother well enough to realise he wasn’t going to just tell someone that he was scared, even though he was. Not that Lancer wouldn’t believe it, but of how he would react. For that reason, for the day that awaits him tomorrow, and the fact that the family had agreed to postpone finding Danielle for the weekend, and knowing that Danny probably wouldn’t sleep well tonight, she went to her brother’s room. There Danny confirmed Jazz’s suspicions, she gently coaxed him into talking out his worries and she did her best to reassure him. Jazz promised that her cue cards would work and that he should give Mr. Lancer more credit. Even though he doesn’t always seem fair –showing favouritism to the football players or occasionally turning a blind eye to Dash’s bullying– she knew that he had helped Danny with his grades, and cared about him as his student; being a half ghost wouldn’t change that.
When Jack and Maddie finally went upstairs to get ready for bed, they overheard part of their children’s conversation. While Maddie was a bit upset with herself for not noticing just how nervous Danny was, she was grateful that Jazz had. Jack also noticed that some comfort was being passed around and he felt a surge of pride that his kids had become such kind and sensitive people.
When the next day arrived, the Fentons set their plan into motion. Jack and Maddie drove their kids to school, right on schedule, although their plans took a slight deviation after that. Rather than waiting in the parking lot with the excuse of ghost hunting, they ended up exchanging insurance information with some of the other parents. As usual, Jack’s driving was… enthusiastic. Sorting things out took them the whole first period, and by the time they got to Mr. Lancer’s office, Danny and Jazz were already there waiting for them.
“Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Fenton,” Mr. Lancer greeted them. “So glad you could join us.” “Morning!” Maddie and Jack replied at the same time, sharing a smile at the coincidence. “You two said that you needed to discuss something with me, but I’m still not entirely sure why these two,” at this Mr. Lancer gestured to where Jazz and Danny were sitting in front of his desk, “need to be here. All Jasmine would tell me is that it's a family matter, and Daniel here seems to be on the edge of a nervous breakdown.”
He looked back and forth between the kids and the parents appraisingly before closing the door to his office and offering them a seat.  With the whole family finally seated in front of Mr. Lancer's desk, Maddie began the explanation, “Well, Jazz is right, this is a family affair. And it’s about Danny...” She checked on her son who seemed to be calming down now that his parents were here. “I see...” said Mr. Lancer, pausing at his desk. “Is this because the school year is about to finish and you’re worried about his grades?” He glanced suspiciously between Danny and his parents. It wouldn't be the first time he’d seen a family rally together to help save a struggling student from being held back a year.
“What? No!” Maddie spluttered. “Well, yes… we are worried about it, but that’s not why we’re here today.” It wasn’t hard to understand why he’d come to that conclusion. It was in part why they were having this conversation, after all.  “Please, Mr. Lancer, wait until after my parents finish. Then you’ll understand what this is all about.” Jazz pleaded, hands clasped in front of her. “It’s all right, Jazz.” Danny murmured, giving her arm a calming squeeze before directing his gaze to his teacher “I kinda figured Lancer would bring that up… I mean… this whole year has been...” “Unprecedented, nightmarish, messy, crazy, ect., ect.?” Mr. Lancer supplied with a raised eyebrow, finally taking a seat at his desk. He seemed like he just caught up with the fact that he was still standing up unnecessarily.
“Yeah. All that. And ghostly…” Danny muttered the last part under his breath, avoiding eye contact with Lancer.
Maddie cleared her throat softly, “Mr. Lancer, if I may… please?” She had noticed that Danny was starting to feel bad and decided it was time to intervene. His grades were as important to him as fighting ghosts, even though it might not look like that from the outside. “Yes, of course, Mrs. Fenton. By all means, please tell me what this is all about.” Mr. Lancer had also noticed Danny’s change in attitude and decided to focus more on the parents, mainly on Maddie seeing as she was the one taking the lead. Jack sat next to her in silent support, but his worry for Danny was plain to see. “Well...” Maddie began, glancing back at Danny who nodded.
Mr. Lancer took notice of the exchange and was about to comment when Maddie finally spoke, interrupting his thoughts.
“Danny is ‘Danny Phantom.’” she said.  “What?” Mr. Lancer spluttered, caught off guard. “What in the name of the Scarlet Pimpernel! That doesn’t make any sense… What’s really going on here? I would have believed something like this from young Daniel…” he stopped, noticing that Maddie seemed to sincerely believe what she was saying.
“Danny,” the boy murmured under his breath. He was a bit annoyed that Mr. Lancer still called him ‘Daniel,’ even in moments like this. Especially in moments like this. “It’s Danny.”
Mr. Lancer looked back and forth between Maddie and her son. He began to worry that something else might be happening, something that the family either doesn’t know about, or doesn’t know how to explain. Because although his student being a ghostly superhero would explain a lot, it was impossible. Wasn’t it?
“Just show him,” Jazz suggested in a loud whisper. She knew that Mr. Lancer would believe him if only he saw it for himself. Knowledge of halfas was global now, so it wouldn’t be hard to make the connection. If they just told him without showing him, he might just think Danny was faking it, using Vlad’s revelation as inspiration.  Danny looked up at his parents who gave him an encouraging nod. “...Fine.” He sounded a bit annoyed to be put in this situation, but proceeded to stand up anyway.
“What are you doi–” Mr. Lancer began to ask. He was getting worried as to why it seemed like everyone knew something he didn’t, because show him what? “Going ghost,” Danny quietly said his catchphrase, transforming into Danny Phantom in a bright flash of light. Mr. Lancer blinked the spots from his eyes, using the silence that followed to process his thoughts. It would seem that their former Mayor wasn’t the only halfa in Amity Park. He had anticipated a few of the more creative kids would probably play pretend at being a ghost and a human at the same time, but never in his wildest dreams could he have anticipated one of his students actually being one.
A single, quiet, “Oh” was all the stunned teacher managed to say.  “Are, are you okay, Mr. Lancer?” Danny prompted, changing back into Fenton and retaking his seat. Maybe that had been a bit too much for him after all.
“You know what Mr. Fenton, that makes a lot of sense...” Mr. Lancer finally said, looking across his desk at Danny. He gave the boy a small, sad, smile, because it did make a lot of sense. “Wait, what?” Danny said, confused. He hadn’t really been expecting that reaction, even though he had assumed that Vlad’s precedent might either help or hurt his situation.
“Well, it does… The skipping school every time there’s a ghost attack, the slacking on your homework, the sleeping in class… All starting around the same time as the ghosts showed up, it makes perfect sense. I’m assuming your whole family knows, and I hope that your parents didn’t know until recently...” Mr. Lancer gave Jack and Maddie a stern look. Just thinking about the hundreds, if not thousands, of times that he saw the Fentons hunting Phantom… it couldn’t be possible, right?
“Of course, we didn’t!” said Maddie quickly. Neither she or Jack wanted this to be like their interrogation with the FBI, they didn’t want to have to defend themselves again. They love their kids, and would do anything to protect them. If they had known it all from the beginning, maybe the thing they needed protection from wouldn’t have been them. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The possibility of losing their kids to child services like the FBI threatened them with at the start had been a rude awakening. “We would never have knowingly hunted our son,” said Jack, the normally jovial man deathly serious. He felt the same as Maddie, remembering how bad the interview with the Feds was, especially at the beginning. “Oh, for the love of… you know what, never mind.” Mr. Lancer shook his head defeatedly. “I’m not going to think about it. I am assuming that isn’t all?”
“You’re right about that,” Maddie sighed, her face serious. “Do you remember when the FBI interviewed our family and practically everyone around us?” She knew she had to say something about it regardless, he would need to understand the conditions that he was bound by now.
Mr. Lancer nodded, allowing her to continue her explanation.
“Well, they know. About Danny... Mr. Lancer, this is highly classified information we’ve just shared with you.” Her eyes pierced his, impressing on him the gravity of the situation. “They said we should keep it secret, only those who already knew and no one else.” “Oh. I see…”  Mr. Lancer’s voice was solemn with understanding. The situation was more serious than what he had originally thought. “So, your friends, Samantha and Tucker...” he raised a questioning brow at Danny. “They know. They’ve known since the beginning, actually.” Danny said with a small shrug.  “Oh, and Valerie knows… Valerie Gray. She found out while we were working on the intangibility transfer device. Well, while her father was working on it, but you know...” he shrugged again.
“I see…” Mr. Lancer nodded. “I understand.” His hunch had been correct, Danny’s friends had been covering for him in class for a while now, and he finally knew why. The mention of Miss Gray was a bit of a surprise, but it made sense if something had happened to reveal Danny’s identity while she and her father had been working on the device. That also meant that the other people who already know are those who were involved with the task force in Antarctica.
“With all that being said, Mr. Lancer,” Maddie called his attention back to her, “while we’re here, we would like your help with Danny’s schedule. I’m sure you’ve noticed that his time management skills could use some improvement.”
“I can agree with that,” Mr. Lancer said, giving Danny a faux stern look.
At this, Jack chimed in, “Now that we know what’s going on, we can help fight the ghosts that appear during school hours. We’ll probably still need to pull him into the field some, though, especially while we’re still getting used to things.”
“Very well, the three of us can continue to discuss a plan, but,” Mr. Lancer glanced up at the clock on the wall, “I think it’s time for Jazz and Danny to go back to class.”
He began to pull some papers out of a drawer in his desk while the Fentons stood up from their chairs. “All right then, I guess we should get going…” Danny said, stretching his arms above his head. He was feeling very relieved that Mr. Lancer was taking it so well and seemed eager to help. He couldn’t stop his smile as he addressed his teacher, “Thank you, Mr. Lancer.”  “Why, whatever for?” he asked with a smile. Mr. Lancer wasn’t exactly sure as to why Danny suddenly seemed more relaxed, but he couldn’t be more proud. He knew that a topic like this one must be hard for the whole family, especially Danny. “Never mind, just… Thank you.” he was still smiling as he slung his backpack over his shoulder.
“Of course,” said Mr. Lancer. He handed Danny and Jazz the papers he had just signed, “Oh, don’t forget these, your hall passes. Just give them to your teachers and your tardiness will be excused. And if there’s anything else I can do… just let me know.”  “Oh, right… Um, thank you,” Danny stuttered out, caught off guard by the kind offer.
Maddie, Jack, and Jazz watched the scene unfold, the three unable to keep the grins off their faces, they knew that all Danny needed was a little understanding and guidance. The three of them exchanged a glance, silently agreeing to each help him in their own ways.
“Let’s go, Little Brother,” Jazz looped her arm through Danny’s and pulled him towards the door, making sure they both had their hall passes. “And thanks again, Mr. Lancer! For everything! Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad!”
“Bye, Sweety!” Maddie called back, “We’ll see you at home later!”
Jack waved, voice booming as he called out, “Bye, kiddos!”
After the kids had gone, the three adults returned to their seats, they had planning to do, after all. Once sitting, Mr. Lancer pulled out a notebook and together they started brainstorming different ways to help Danny, both with school matters as well as ghost fighting activities–because they all knew he wasn’t going to stop anytime soon. They began with an easy schedule that could help Danny better make use of his time. At one point, Lancer proposed to let some of the other teachers know about Danny’s secret, but the Fentons reminded him that the information was highly classified. It’s not the sort of thing you can just go around telling people. They had to fill out so much paperwork with the FBI in order to get approval to tell just him. That’s how Mr. Lancer knew that the issue was very serious. He asked how the FBI was keeping it a secret, but all the Fentons could say was that it was classified, and no, they didn’t know either.
They had been at it for quite a long time when they heard the unmistakable sounds of a fight in the hallway. Mr. Lancer rushed to the door, the Fentons hot on his heels, thankfully, because this wasn’t your average school fight, this was a ghost fight. The three adults arrived at the scene just in time to see none other than Danny Phantom flung into a row of lockers.
Jack and Maddie decided that it was about time they joined in the hunting, that was a big part of their plan, after all. They really needed to be more alert to ghost activity during school hours so Danny could concentrate more in class. Class that Danny certainly wasn’t present for right now, for obvious reasons.
While his parents had stayed to talk with Mr. Lancer, Danny had made his way to his next class. Everything was going well, that is until Danny’s ghost sense went off. He had run out of the classroom, calling a lame excuse to his teacher on the way.
Danny found the ghost in the computer lab, it was none other than Technus. Danny had lost count of which ‘version’ he was supposed to be at this point, and he didn’t really care. Danny only knew that he was up to no good.
Every time Danny fought Technus, he boasted that his plan was better than the last and that he wouldn’t be shouting it out, and each time he failed. This time wasn’t any different. They started in the computer lab, but Danny managed to lure the ghost outside, away from all the technology in the building, only denting a few lockers on the way. Once they were on the lawn, Danny was able to create a distraction and it was in that moment that his parents attacked Technus, weakening him enough that Danny could capture him in the Fenton Thermos.
While the Fentons joined the fight, ecto-guns blazing, it was time for Mr. Lancer to play his part. Danny had probably used an oldie, but a goodie: the Toilet Excuse to get out of class, but it wouldn’t be enough for how long this fight was going to take. He knew which teacher Danny had this period, so he just needed to find a place near that classroom to wait for him and walk him personally back to class. Perhaps he could say that he’d needed the boy’s help carrying some extra textbooks or something. Danny would likely need a place to transform back–something that it would take Mr. Lancer a bit of time to get used to–but he did manage to find a good spot for that.
Once their battle was over, Danny handed the thermos to his parents so they could put Technus back in the Ghost Zone. In turn, his parents gave Danny encouraging nods and proud smiles. It was nice to be appreciated, but Danny really needed to get back to class. He was surprised to find Mr. Lancer waiting for him just inside the school to walk Danny back to his class, fake thanking him for helping with something in his office. When they reached the classroom, Lancer mentioned to Danny’s teacher that he had found Danny just outside the bathroom, and remembered something that he needed help with and Danny was perfect for the job. That explanation to Danny’s teacher was enough to avoid detention again, but it gained him snickers from his classmates. While being the butt of a joke wasn’t ideal, it was a whole lot better than detention. This whole situation might just work out after all.
Danny took a seat at his desk and decided to concentrate as much as possible on today’s lesson. Sam and Valerie tried to ask what happened, but Danny only gave them a quick thumbs up and a smile to let them know it went well. He would give them a more detailed explanation after class or during their lunch break. It was times like these that they really missed Tucker, but they knew that with him being the mayor, private tutoring was the best option for him.
At least for the rest of the day Danny wouldn’t need to worry about getting detention or fighting ghosts. He knew that his parents were going to be patrolling around the school, Lancer had his back at school, and the ghost of the day-or at least for the time being- was trapped in the Fenton Thermos. He could just relax with his girlfriend and Valerie, and he would get to do a video call with Tucker during the lunch break.
Things were looking good, after all this time, even though it had been a lot of new things to get used to. Danny never thought –even when he had seen it before– that it would feel so good telling people his secret. Of course, he wasn’t just going to go around telling people left and right, it had to be to select people. Letting Mr. Lancer into the fold had been more strategy than anything else, but it was still nice to have him on the team.
The day ended without further incident. Team Phantom enjoyed talking with their mayor friend during lunch. They caught him up with the situation at the school and told him how Lancer had reacted to the news. Tucker, likewise, updated them with the news of his personal proposal.
Because the last mayor had been a crazy halfa, and his teenage ghost hunters were fired and dismissed, the whole town had been under siege by ghost attacks. Something needed to be done, and it was going to take a lot of work for the city to recover. Tucker, as the mayor selected after a major disaster like this, would have to step up to the plate. It would be a full time job, with no time to go to school. So, the rest of the politicians and personnel of the city council decided that the best course of action was that he should have private tutors, since he hadn't graduated from high school just yet. Tucker, since winning the election and realising, or rather learning, that he wouldn’t be able to go to Casper high any longer, began working on a proposal. It was as follows: he would serve as mayor until the next election, at which point he would leave his position until later in life, should he wish to run for re-election. With his parents' help, Tucker had proposed his return to Casper high in the next school year to the city council. They had approved it, but in the meantime, Tucker had to pass his classes and learn more about politics, especially those of Amity Park. He was allowed to communicate with his old friends only during breaks, however his private tutors made sure that his schedule was similar to what he was used to. Those tutors also knew about his friends and about Danny’s secret identity, but they wouldn't say a word, not only because they got a ‘friendly’ warning from the FBI, but because they had always considered him a hero, even before he had become recognized as both a local and global hero by everyone else.
Danny Fenton was happy with how everything seemed to be working out. His parents and Mr. Lancer had come up with a good plan to help him out during school hours. They helped him to create a better way to manage his time after school that not only would allow him to keep fighting ghosts when needed, but to also just be a teen. He would have time to take care of his responsibilities, homework and chores and the like, as well as to have fun with his friends. Danny never thought that all he needed was a little help with time management. His grades were already improving, and with the rest of the school year to go, he knew he would pass his classes.
Just like that, the time flew by and the week turned into the weekend. It was finally time to look for Danielle. To be continued :D :D

4x01 Review
Walker has returned and it's better than ever. Like all good premiere episodes, "The Quiet" set up a lot for us to expect this season and I can't tell y'all how excited I am to see what comes next. But first, there's a birthday boy to celebrate!
The bulk of the episode covers Cordell's birthday celebration. Five months after the return of the Jackal and a horrific break-in at the bungalow, Geri is looking to make it a day to remember, especially after everything he did for her birthday. Initially, this plan includes a family trip to a Lonestar Steak Eating challenge that Cordell has been looking forward to since he was but a wee 16 year-old. But major unexpected events, including a break in the Jackal case and Cassie bringing a huge drug case to their doorstep forces the celebration to be more local.
August suggests getting some steaks and hosting their own competition and everyone jumps on it. Geri takes over decorating, Abby makes the sides, and Bonham handles the steaks. Everyone else just has to keep the party a secret, which they do very well, even when roping Cassie in to deliver him to the party. While Cordell was happy to insist he didn't need such a big celebration, he was more than happy to chow down on his steak. Even if he didn't win, the party was definitely something he needed and Geri is right to be proud of her work- even if it did get interrupted by work.
All this winds down into a more serious discussion about where Cordell's head is at looking at the next year of his life. While Geri wanted to focus on the positives of an empty nest (like perhaps more of what they got up to at the beginning of the episode and maybe more time just for them), she listened to Cordell's concerns about his kids growing up and leaving him behind with just "the quiet". He loves his children for who they are, but he also loves the distraction they bring from the heaviness of his work. Not having them to come home to in the near future is something he doesn't know how to deal with, something he came to realize when August asked to leave the birthday party. While that wasn't where I thought the conversation was going, it was one that needed to be had and I think it was a really solid moment for Cordell and Geri's relationship and that's a big part of why I finally felt the ship this episode.
The other big thing this episode was Cassie's return to Ranger HQ. We discover her 8-week summer camp trip with the FBI to Tampa turned into a 5-month investigation with near radio silence from her to back home. While Cordell and Trey are a little salty about being abandoned by her for Tessa Graves, they're excited to have her back and more than happy to help when she drops a case in their laps- even if it does tamp down on the birthday celebration.
While Cordell's feelings on Cassie's new career are likely dampened by his upcoming empty nest, he is happy that she's pursuing a new opportunity with the FBI- if that's what she really wants to do.
Though Cassie spent most of the episode assuring everyone she wasn't really being swayed one way or the other, it wasn't hard to see that she'd found her place in the FBI, leading an investigation despite not being a full special agent and successfully getting her guys. James did offer her a more local opportunity to make the big changes she was so committed to making with the FBI, but we'll have to see what that opportunity is and if she'll take it.
Trey's interactions with Cassie were extremely awkward this episode. It's clear he was looking forward to her coming back much sooner than she did- or at least being able to talk to her while she was gone. Maybe him holding onto her is why his current attempts at a love life aren't going so well. But, at the very least, it's good to see them back in action as friends.
One of the more serious plots that returned in this episode was the ongoing Jackal investigation. We learn that the Jackal has been quiet since he took his last victim, but that Detective Luna found a lead in a motel room. When Trey checked it out, they found evidence that the Jackal was there, and he left behind a pile of his calling card- jackal teeth (hence the name). This is proof that Hollis was not going to be his final victim- a fact Kelly recognizes all too well when she sees the evidence for herself. She begs Cordell and Trey to keep this a secret from James and Cordell is happy to agree; they both know how bad things got all those years ago and neither of them are ready to relive that.
While Trey is willing to go along with it, he does wonder if the situation is really that serious. After all, he's only ever known James to be a cool, collected leader. Would a serial killer case really be enough to spin him out? When he asks Cordell, we get a flashback to a time during the initial Jackal investigation. James was drinking while looking at evidence and he hadn't been home in days. Desperate to get him to take a break, Cordell brought Kelly to the office to talk to him. James was less than happy about this impromptu intervention and things got physical, scaring everyone involved- especially James. But he still wasn't ready to give up, not yet.
Seeing James like that was shocking; that man is definitely not the captain we've come to know and love. Which begs the question- how close to that will we get when the secret investigation is finally revealed?
Another subplot of the season that was dropped this episode is how Stella is dealing with the aftermath of the break-in. Based on the state of her dorm room and how distant she's been from the family, it's easy to tell she's not doing very well. It's bad enough that she had to go through something like that, but we find out during her meeting with the investigator's that she's lied to them and to Liam about knowing Witt prior to the break-in.
Which begs the question of why? Why lie about that? Surely it wouldn't affect Stella badly to say that she'd met him at a college party a few weeks before. If anything, it might help the investigation. But, if my theory is right about Sadie working with/for Witt and his cohorts, a connection like that could put her in danger, so it's possible that that was her idea, just like not calling the police was her idea and Stella went along with it out of panic.
Speaking of Sadie, where is she in all this? We can gather from Stella asking about Sadie's "counsel" that the two girls haven't been speaking, but we didn't see anyone else showing concern, not even Geri. Was this distance encouraged because of the investigation or has enough time passed since she left that everyone is okay with it?
Big questions aside, it was really nice seeing Liam's support of Stella in this episode. She's nowhere near okay, and he somewhat understands why. Here's hoping he can keep helping her like this in future episodes.
A small but noticeable plot dropped in this episode is August drifting away from his family. Based on dialogue, he's been spending more time with his friends than his family and even dipped out of his father's birthday party early. Though his reasons aren't quite as dramatic as Stella's, it's a distance everyone is feeling to different degrees. I can only imagine this gap is going to get bigger as August attempts to fulfill his military dreams.
can't wait for next episode!
All in all, this was an excellent start to a new season and I am so excited to see what happens next and I have so many questions! Where is Sadie? How long are Trey and Cordell going to be able to keep their Jackal investigation a secret? How will James handle it when he finds out? Will Stella be forced to tell the truth about her and Sadie's connection to Witt? Will Cassie stay on past season 4? Will Cordell ever be able to live out his steak eating competition dreams?
See y'all next episode!

“She told you this, and you didn’t say anything?” Donald hissed furiously.
“I didn’t put any stock in it!” Scrooge whispered defensively. “Even if the Templars had been cultists, they’ve been disbanded for centuries! The castle’s been unoccupied since then!”
“You can’t just assume that!” Donald countered. He shook his head angrily, snarling, “Razzle, frazzling-! Every time I think you’ve learned-!”
“I know, Donald! Don’t think I’m not kickin’ myself!”Scrooge growled back at him.
Donald let go and folded his arms crossly. “So. What’s the plan now?” He demanded.
Scrooge took a moment to think about that.
-------------------------------------
Huey’s phone buzzed.
He looked over from the mass of plastic and wires he was tinkering on, sitting over on the ‘electronics’ section of his workbench. Della had retired a while ago, and it was just him and his projects now. He could comfortably stay up late tonight, since the weekend was tomorrow, and he was determined to spend these precious hours working on as many of his side projects as he could.
Again, his phone buzzed.
He checked it, seeing that the notification had come from his friends’ group chat.
Violet @Huey Duck. Hello. Just confirming that the office visit was uneventful. You didn’t come back to class, so we’ve been speculating on what happened.
Huey winced. He’d forgotten to tell his friends about Nickel. He wasn’t even sure if he should. It seemed like one of those things that only the family had to know about.
After a moment’s hesitation, he sent a reply.
Huey I’m okay. I wasn’t in trouble. It’s a bit of a weird situation though.
A moment passed, then his phone buzzed again.
Violet Weird in what way?
Huey sighed. Of course, Violet was going to be inquisitive. Oscar’s icon was showing up on the app now, meaning that he’d seen the messages too. All eyes were on him now.
He didn’t say anything at first. Anxiety held him back and kept him from responding, which he imagined was only concerning his friends further. He slowly typed out his next message, then hit send.
Huey Can you guys keep a secret? Violet With my life. Oscar nope if its something serious mate, then I don’t need to know about it. odds are good that I’ll accidentally blurt it out to someone Huey Ok
Huey switched over to a private chat with Violet, then began to type feverishly.
Huey Ok, so some FBI agent was in there and he wanted to talk to me about Scrooge He was really weird. He was doing that thing that police do when they’re overly friendly with a suspect to make him confess to something. He seemed to think that my uncle had done something wrong and that I could help him somehow. He didn’t tell my mom or Mrs Beakley or anyone else, so I didn’t have a guardian present, so I’m pretty sure that the whole thing was illegal. He asked me about what we were doing in Paris and what we were looking for. I think he either already knew why we were there or at least thought that he did. And he lost his temper and started shouting when I refused to answer his questions. He wasn’t very professional overall. His suit wasn’t buttoned up or pressed or anything. But the weirdest thing is that he specifically asked me questions about some of the artifacts we had in the Other Bin Which should be impossible, because nobody outside the family knows about it (Im assuming that Webby and Lena have told you about the Other Bin) I have no idea what he wants or what any of this means I don’t think any of the adults do either It's all just so confusing Anyway my mom took me home afterwards so that he wouldn’t get a chance to harass me again
Huey stopped texting and watched the screen anxiously for a reply. He saw an ellipsis symbol in the bottom, showing that Violet was texting back a reply. After a moment, it appeared on his screen.
Violet I see.
There was a pause before the next message.
Violet Your uncle definitely hasn’t done anything wrong? I’m not saying he’d commit a federal offence intentionally, but perhaps it’s something that his company has done? Huey I’m certain of it. That Scrooge hasn’t done anything wrong, anyway. Jeez, I really hope it isn’t the company. Violet What was the agent’s name? It might be worth searching him. Huey Agent Nickel. That’s a good idea, actually. Violet I can do some research of my own to assist you, if you want. This might not be something you can fight on your own. Huey Thanks Violet. I’ll let you know if there’s anything you can do to help us. At the moment, it’s too early to say. Violet Understood. Incidentally, we should probably delete these messages and keep discussions of this offline. If your uncle is under investigation, it would be a small matter for the FBI to acquire text messages that you’ve sent. Huey I think deleting messages from a chat is just a visual thing. It doesn’t remove it from the database. Violet You’re probably right, but it’s best to take precautions. Good luck, Huey.
No sooner than Violet had written out her last message that she began deleting her side of the conversation, each message replaced one by one with ‘message deleted’. Huey followed suit until there was not a trace of the exchange, only a wall of generic empty messages.
After a moment, he put his phone away and pushed the mass of electronics to the side. His project could wait. This was far more important.
Swiftly, he got out his laptop, a blank notepad, and a handful of pens, placing them all on his desk. Once the computer was booted up, he typed in ‘FBI agent Nickel’ into the search window, then hit enter.
He sighed irritably as he saw the first round of results. None of them were relevant, just references to some old case about a hollow nickel and a Cold War spy. The next page of results was equally useless, only tangentially related to his search terms.
Deciding to change his approach, Huey filtered the search results to display news articles. He wasn’t going to find FBI databases or a dossier with Nickel’s name on it, but perhaps he could find something in the news about a case Nickel was involved in.
The first page wasn’t useful to him. Neither was the second, nor the third. It was only when he got to the seventh page of results that he finally found something. A headline that gave him pause.
Terrorist pair extradited from UK; FBI director says ‘F.O.W.L.’s days are over’
Huey stared at the headline, slowly blinking in disbelief. He clicked on the article, opening it in a new window. No sooner than he did, he saw the image the article had at the top of the page and his beak fell agape in shock.
Nickel wasn’t in the photo. But front and centre was the Phantom Blot.
The Blot wasn’t looking at the camera, his back turned as he was being shoved inside a car by an FBI agent, amid a crowd of police, secret agents and journalists. Following closely behind him was that F.O.W.L. Egghead who seemed to work with him, looking around wildly and apparently arguing with one of the agents that was handling her. Both of them were handcuffed.
“What…?” Huey murmured, scrolling down to read more.
Today marks the official fall of the notorious terrorist organisation known as the Fiendish Organization for World Larceny (F.O.W.L.), as joint operation by the FBI and Interpol results in the capture and arrest of one of its most notorious members. Known as the Phantom Blot, this enigmatic figure is believed to have been among the highest-ranking leaders of the terrorists and is now set to serve a life sentence in Washington State Prison.
How had he never heard of this? Huey started to scroll deeper, his eyes glued on the screen. He didn’t even know F.O.W.L. had still existed during this time. None of their agents had come after them after the Library of Alexandria, not in all these years had they heard as much as a peep from F.O.W.L. Yet, here this article was, claiming that the Phantom Blot had been operating all the way up to 2022.
He kept reading all the way to the end of the article, pausing only to take note of a particular quote near the end of the article.
“I would like to thank the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, particularly Special Agent Nickel and Assistant Director Charleston, for their invaluable assistance in this operation.” Says Senior Agent Jacques Monroe. “This couldn’t have been done without them.”
Huey frowned, tapping his pen against his notepad. He quickly scribbled down, ‘Phantom Blot arrest – Agent Nickel and Assistant Director Charleston (FBI)’, then moved on.
Once he was done with the article, he returned to the search page and added ‘FOWL’ to his search terms.
He hit enter.

Galinha, Portugal
They had been navigating the underground dungeon of Castelo de Cristo for about ten minutes when Scrooge heard a voice behind him shout, “Look out!”
Scrooge yelped as Webby pulled him back, just in time for a scythe blade to come swinging past his face. He stumbled back as the scythe began swinging to-and-fro across the corridor, into and out of a pair of slits in the wall, with two more scythes swinging asynchronously behind it.
The whole party came to a stop behind him as Webby propped Scrooge back onto his feet. “Are you okay, dad?” She asked.
“Aye, aye.” Scrooge muttered, brushing himself off. “Don’t know how I didn’t spot that…”
“You need to be more careful!” Webby scolded him. “We’re in a ruin, remember?”
“I know, I know!” Scrooge growled irritably. He peered across to the other side of the corridor, noticing an empty iron torch sconce not too far behind the swinging scythes. “Hm…” He pointed over at it with his cane, saying, “There. I’d bet my bottom dollar that pulling on that sconce over there stops the trap.”
“Sweet.” May remarked, stepping forward towards the blades.
Immediately, she was stopped by Scrooge’s cane and Donald gripping her arm, crying, “What are you doing?”
“What? All we gotta do is weave between the blades and grab the switch that turns them off.” May explained. “Simple.”
“Yeah, even a simple deathtrap is called a death-trap!” Dewey exclaimed from behind her. “If we’re gonna turn it off, we want to do it without getting sliced by those things.”
May seemed to think about that for a moment. She stepped forward just a little, watching the blades as they swung back and forth.
She knelt down to the ground, picking up a stray brick from the ground. She threw it up and down a couple of times, apparently testing its weight.
Then, with a cry, she threw it up in the air, leapt up, and kicked it with all her might.
Like a bullet, the brick flew through the air, past each of the scythes as they were swinging across the corridor, and struck the sconce, shattering on impact. The iron torch-holder immediately swung around on a vertical axis, like a giant door handle, and each of the scythes instantly froze in place.
May turned back to the others, all of them staring at her with beaks agape.
“How’s that?” She asked with a smirk.
“Nicely done, lass!” Scrooge exclaimed proudly.
“That was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!” Dewey gushed. “You gotta teach me how to do that!”
May beamed proudly.
Carefully, the family stepped around the scythe blades, ducking under the one in the middle, which had stopped moving right in the centre of the hallway. Once they were safely past them, they continued on their way to the end of the corridor, at which they found another wooden door.
Scrooge carefully pushed it open to the next room, revealing a hall with three dungeon cells on either side, each barred with iron. At the very end of the hallway was a wooden desk and another door that led straight ahead. Typical of a complex like this, with that immediately denoted trouble… but he’d been wrong before.
“Straight ahead?” Donald suggested, though he posed it more as a question.
“Aye.” Scrooge agreed, stepping carefully into the room.
They were about halfway through when Louie spoke up from behind, “Hey, June. I found another one.”
The party turned to see him kneeling down to pick something up from the floor. He stood up, holding another cigarette butt in his hand.
“Another one…” June mused.
“This deep into the dungeon?” Scrooge said concernedly.
June peered into the cell that Louie was standing next to. Reaching out, she pushed the cell door open, the set of bars swinging without so much as a squeak. Webby frowned and stepped into the cell with June, examining the hinges as June inspected the cell’s interior, which consisted of an old straw bed and a thick sheet of dust.
Or at least, so it seemed. As June was inspecting the hay bale, she called out what she found. “The hay here looks fresh. And the dust here’s been disturbed recently.”
“And these joints have been oiled.” Webby added, swinging the cell door back and forth to prove her point. “Like, recently oiled.”
“Someone else has been down here.” Louie breathed.
“That cannae be…” Scrooge muttered anxiously.
“Um…” June spoke up, a hint of nervousness in her voice. “There’s also, um… some of the hay here has blood on it.”
She held up a few strands of straw to show the rest. It was hard to see in the dim light, but Scrooge could just make out a few flecks of crimson upon the otherwise golden fibres.
“…Fresh blood?” Scrooge asked worriedly.
June shrugged, uncertain. “It’s not old.”
A blanket of silence fell upon the family as they considered the implications. Louie stepped back from the cell, his expression ill, muttering, “So- so, what now?”
Scrooge didn’t have an answer.
“…Give us a moment.” Donald muttered, taking Scrooge by the arm and leading him over to the other end of the hallway. Scrooge went with him, frowning as he thought to himself.
Once they were far enough from the kids, Donald whispered to him worriedly, “What do we do? If it isn’t just Goldie down here…”
“I know, I know…” Scrooge murmured.
“And blood? Do… you think Goldie got into trouble?”
Scrooge tapped the handle of his cane as he tried to think of a response.
She’s in danger. We need to hurry.
He opened his beak, then shut it tight. He knew what that voice was now, and he didn’t trust it.
“…Scrooge?” Donald asked concernedly.
“…I…” He said hesitantly. “I don’t think Goldie’s in trouble, no… but… she did mention something…”
“What?”
“She mentioned that she’d heard that there was a… cult… operatin’ out of this castle.”
“…What?”
“Aye. Claimed that they’d kidnapped a young lass, too. I thought it was impossible at the time, but now… I’m wonderin’ if I’d been wrong.”
Donald stared at him for a few seconds before grabbing Scrooge by the collar and pulling him into his face.
With a heavy sigh, he turned around and said loudly, “Kids!”
The kids approached them, all of them looking worried. Scrooge doubted that they hadn’t noticed the argument, but that wasn’t important.
“Hey, uh, I don’t know if I’m…” Louie started to say apprehensively.
“I know, lad.” Scrooge told him reassuringly. Turning to the rest, he said sternly, “Right, kids… I’ve spoken with Donald, and somethin’ definitely wrong here. Someone dangerous is down here, and… well, we don’t know if it’s safe to continue.”
“Are… are we turning back?” Webby asked disappointedly.
“…Not yet.” Scrooge told her. Pointing at the next door with his cane, he explained, “I’m going to scout ahead down there. The rest of you will stay behind here. If I’m not back in exactly twenty minutes,” He said loudly as the kids started to protest. “Then Donald will take you back to the hotel. Do not wait for me.”
“But what if something happens to you?” Dewey exclaimed.
“I’ll be fine.” Scrooge assured him. “Whatever happens, I’ll find me way out. What’s important is that you keep yourselves safe. Understand?”
Webby, Dewey and Louie didn’t answer, all of them looking uneasy. May and June simply looked at each other gravely, then nodded at Scrooge.
Scrooge turned to Donald. “You remember the way back?” Scrooge asked.
“…Yeah.” Donald replied, clearly also uneasy.
Scrooge turned back to his family. “Twenty minutes.” He reminded them. “I’ll be fine.”
With that, he made his way over to the door beside the desk, opening it and stepping inside. He turned back to his family and gave them one last confident smile before closing it on their worried faces.
He turned around, his bravado vanishing to be replaced with grave determination. He took out his pocketwatch, memorised the time, and then began to trapse forward, holding his cane tightly.
He kept his eye on the floor, scanning the stone tiles for any more evidence of trespassers. Eventually, he came to a T-intersection in the corridor, both directions looking identical to the other.
He turned left.
That corridor led him to a flight of stairs, which in turn led him down to another intersection, with a path going straight ahead, and another branching off to his right. Looking between the two routes, he spied something on the floor, a few feet in front of him. Approaching it, he saw that it was a flip-phone of some kind, broken, like it had been stepped underfoot. Kneeling down and picking it up, he saw that the back of it had been plastered over with colourful stickers.
Heard from some of the people here that a girl went missing ‘bout a week ago. Apparently, she disappeared scaling the cliffs near the castle.
He should’ve listened to Goldie.
Cursing under his breath, he stood up and started to make his way down the corridor before him. The corridor took him through two larger rooms, the first one being a square chamber with scorch marks across the walls, and the second being a long, wide corridor with sets of floor spikes popping in and out of the tiles at regular intervals. These were dummy rooms, Scrooge realised, rooms that had no purpose other than to trap intruders. Goldie must have set them off.
Scrooge navigated the traps easily. Whatever trap had caused the scorch marks had either been discharged or disabled, and the pattern the spike trap followed was predictable. At the end of the gauntlet was a corridor, from which Scrooge could feel a draft of cool nighttime air.
Confused, he followed the corridor to the end, leading him to an open door that led outside. Stepping out, Scrooge found himself on the cliffs surrounding the castle, the wind whistling ominously through his feathers. Beside the exit was a crumpled tarp covered with dirt, grass and roots – camouflage, that once covered this door.
Scrooge looked back and forth along the cliffs, frowning. Why had Goldie taken this path out of the castle?
She hadn’t, he suddenly realised. This was the way she’d come in.
Scrooge spun around and started running back the way he’d come, cursing himself all the way. They hadn’t been following Goldie. All this time, they’d been following someone else, someone who wanted to be followed. They’d walked right into an ambush, and Scrooge had been too blind to see it.
He darted effortlessly through the spike trap room and the scorched room, stumbling as he threw his back out with his pace. Gritting through the pain, he forced himself to keep running, making his way up to the second intersection.
He skidded to a stop.
There were three figures in front of him.
Scrooge held himself upright on his cane, panting as he stared at the men before him. They weren’t wearing dark robes, nor did they have occult tattoos, but they were definitely the cultists Goldie had mentioned to him. He could see it in their eyes. They each wore trousers and button-up shirts, as well as what looked to be steel necklaces buried into their navels.
One of them was pointing a hunting rifle at him.
The gunman stepped forth. He was a rooster with pale brown feathers and a cigarette hanging limply in his mouth. “Bem-vindo à Catedral de Baphomet, Americano.” He drawled coldly, speaking Portuguese before switching to English. “You’re coming with us.”
Scrooge glanced past them, towards his family. The cultists noticed, chuckling darkly as one. “Do not concern yourself with them. You should be more worried about you.”
“What have you done to my family?” Scrooge snarled.
“They are not for us to do with.” The leader replied with an evil smirk. “They belong to the Bulezau now.”

Back Home
Alex comes back home after a long case.
Pairing: Alex Blake x Reader
Warnings: None, I think
Genre: Little Fluffy Blurb
Word Count: 600+
A/N: Little blurb I wrote for @nightmarish-fae a while back. The prompt was "you smell nice". Contains canon dialogue from season 8 episode 22 "#6". Posted before but I accidentally deleted my old account lol
Tumblr media
*Ring, Ring*
“Hey, you” you said as you answered your phone, a wide smile plastered on your face
“Hey,” You heard Alex’s soft voice as she replied, “Remind me why did I think working at the BAU was a good idea?”
“Because you’re an exceptional profiler and even better agent?” you said, chuckling a little at your girlfriend’s question. “Just a guess.”
Alex has been away on a case for close to two weeks now, and this was the first time you have spoken since she left. You don’t tend to make phone calls when she’s away, not often at least. Occasional text messages to let you know that she’s okay are what she prefers, and as much as you missed Alex, you understood her need for independence. But this was a nice exception to the unspoken rule between the two of you.
“How’s the case going?” You asked, full of hope that the investigation was progressing at a faster rate. “When are you gonna get home?”
“Who knows,” Alex said with a hint of sadness and exhaustion in her voice. “all the leads we’ve gathered in the past few days led us nowhere, each being a dead end”
The hope in your eyes was instantly replaced with sadness, as you realised that this is going to be, yet another night spent alone, curled up in your shared bed holding tightly onto Alex’s pillow pressed against your chest. In the moments when you especially missed her, you’d often spray some of her perfume, the smell of which brought you comfort and reminded you of the woman you loved.
*Doorbell Rings*
“Are you expecting someone at 11pm on a Wednesday night?” Alex questioned softly.
“Um, no, not that I’m aware of.” you said, slightly concerned as you truly didn’t remember to make any plans for the evening, your mind starting to spiral in all possible ways
“Maybe you should go and check it out?” the linguist said in a much more enthusiastic way.
Your eyes filled with hope, you ran to the door to open it as soon as possible. Would Alex really not tell you she’s coming back? She never did that, somehow, she was never good at keeping secrets and surprises, always being so excited she couldn’t hold it in her. When you finally reached the door, you looked through the peephole, almost not believing the sight in front of you. There she was, as beautiful as ever, standing with a huge smile on her face. The same smile that you found yourself get lost in so often. You immediately opened the door, almost jumping at the gorgeous woman standing in front of you, wrapping your arms around her neck. Never wanting to let go. You felt her smile as she pulled you closer to her, leaving soft kisses on your head.
After what simultaneously felt like hours and seconds the two of you broke the hug, Alex placing a gentle kiss on your lips.
“I’ve missed you” she whispered, smiling at the realisation that she can finally hold you in her arms again. “If I ever get the idea to work for the FBI again, please shoot me.” She added, both of you chucking a little.
After chatting for a while, Alex decided to take a shower, the exhaustion from the previous days slowly taking over her. You waited for her in your in your bedroom, happy to have her back.
“You smell nice,” the linguist whispered as she joined you in the bed and wrapped you in her arms. “Is that my perfume?”
“Mhm, maybe.” You said in a barely audible whisper. She slightly chuckled, pulling you even closer to her, you let yourself melt in the warmth of her body as you both drifted off to sleep.

If you were going to recommend one episode as THE Emily episode, what would it be? why?
i have an 104 page document about this that doesn't even go past season six I think.
this is hard.
it's an easy answer to say demonology. you get a real sense for who she is, and who she was before the series. you learn about her efforts to fit in and what it resulted in. you learn why she is the way she is, and it's the start of her and Rossi being close.
but that's an easy answer. because it IS the Emily episode.
the lauren episode, where we learn about her time as a spy and what she had to do to keep herself and another child safe really ... just sets you up to understand her entire life. why she did what she did. WHY she's so good at adapting, compartmentalizing. you can contextualize how her past as a diplomat's daughter turned her into someone adaptable for a life as a spy. you learn the depths to which she'd go to protect a child.
but it's a hard episode to recommend because, a lot like demonology, it IS a hard watch. and you lose her at the end of it. there's a real life best friend out there who can attest to the fact that when we watched this live I sat behind him on my bed, sobbing. we'll call this friend thorin. sorry, thorin. thank you for dealing with teenage gay me.
i go anywhere without recommending minimal loss. she and Reid are held hostage and Emily outs herself as an FBI agent to protect him. it's the first time we see her in major danger. she keeps passing the team secret codes. you get a real sense of her strength as an agent. you also get what I call the three stooges - Reid, Morgan, Emily - out in fool force. I meant full force. I mistyped. but it's staying. it's one of my favorite episodes of the ENTIRE show.
children of darkness, where she interacts a lot with a teen who lost her entire family, and at the end of it, asks hotch if she could try to adopt the girl. hotch tells her she needs to know she can still be objective, and she tells him she needs to know she can still be human. at the end of it, JJ tells her she can see it. her and kids. it's such a good episode. in the context of her and all the other interactions with kids too.
WHEELS UP. the entire team are in a car accident right after Reid returns from prison, but Emily gets kidnapped by one of the most terrifying unsub they've ever had - and she's held captive and drugged, making her believe she's in a hospital with him and can't move. you see her go into old spy training to withstand torture. you see how much she relies on the team. and she's doing all of this to save hotch and Jack, who aren't even on the show anymore. she is so full of love, and strength, and you see her break a little. and honestly she's just - haha!! hehe! it's fine it's fine.
other honorable mentions - the one where her mom is there. it's not a necessary watch but it is fun. 200. I didn't put it here because it's more about JJ than it is about Emily, but it's SUCH a fantastic representation of her. It is however a BRUTAL fucking watch. 7 seconds you get to see her go absolutely feral to, again, protect a kid - and it's one of the most haunting cases in the entire show. the one where the guy is taking people's hearts and using his kid to lure them is also a fantastic show of who Emily is as a person, and there's a case later where that kid comes back.
end of the day - minimal loss, demonology, wheels up, children of darkness are the ones i'd say top the list.

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 10
Tumblr media
From the moment he sat down you can see the tension in his body. He was wearing a smile, one of false confidence.
You glance at his hand, then back to his face.
“Is there a reason I’m here, detectives?”
“Oh we’re not detectives, Jess. My name is Patrick Jane and this is my daughter.” You nod and he looks even more unnerved.
“We’re rushed for time so I’m going to make this quick. Right now officers are raiding your house. I have no doubt that they’ll find those stacks of cash in the secret compartment you have at the back of your closet.” Jane explains.
Jess looks alarmed and you just keep a neutral expression.
“You see we know all the bad things that you’ve been up to, as a judge it’s not going to look very good on your profession. Taking bribes, assisting with trafficking and kidnapping an international ambassador, you’ll be lucky if they give you the needle, because trust me, what they do to men like you in prison, you’ll wish they put you out of your misery.”
“I didn’t kidnap anyone okay!”
“Then tell us who did, you know these people. You understand how they operate. Help us make your life easier.” You encourage. He just shook his head.
“You don’t understand, you think I did any of this voluntarily, these aren’t nice people.”
“If you wanted you could have gotten out of it, stop making excuses and tell us what we want to know.” Jane pushed.
“We want names, locations, everything, you tell us everything right now or I promise you I’ll make it my mission that you end up in a prison with some men who’ll be very glad to see you. All those criminals you put away, they’ll just be dying to see you again.” He was already sweating at your threat.
“I do this and you protect me.”
“If Alexander dies I can’t guarantee that you won’t end up the same.” He swallowed, nodding as he shakily picked up the pen and the pad.
“Okay, okay.”
He started scribbling frantically and you sent a look at the glass behind you.
~~
There was no discussion on who would go on this trip. Nick and Hank looked ready for anything, and you wanted nothing more than to join them. That’s why you volunteered, but Renard had shut it down the second you asked.
“But captain I can help. I can make the connections faster. You think these guys are going to just give themselves up. I’m better than the most skilled profiler.”
“I understand that but you’re not trained for this kind of field work. Here I can offer you protection, but over there the rules aren’t so black and white. If something goes wrong, they can handle themselves. I won’t put any of my people in unnecessary danger. We have the backing of the FBI, so that gives us an advantage but that’s all we have.”
You frowned.
“But I-”
“This isn’t negotiable. You’re staying here. I need you to speak with the other people on that list. Get what you can out of them. You can do the most good here.” His words left no room for argument. Renard walked out of his office and you watched as he gathered Nick and Hank.
Their plan was to stop in Austin to grab some more agents before they jumped on a jet and searched for Alexander. More than anything you want to be there, you feel like you have to, but he’s right. You don’t have that kind of field training, especially given who you’re going against. You’re not used to feeling so helpless.
“Boss benched you.” Jane peeks his head in and you nod solemnly as Nick and Hank leave.
“Your team seems very capable. You should trust them. I don’t know what the relationship is with Alexander and Nick, but he looked determined. The kind of determination you display when you’re ready to go to war for someone. Whether it’s for you or him, he’ll get it done.”
You expect nothing less from Nick. It’s obvious he’s doing it for your sake. Even more obvious that he’s noticed how torn you’ve been the second you heard that Alexander was in danger. You’re a lot more transparent than you thought. With a sigh, you nod your head with an impish smile.
“I couldn’t even stand the guy when we first met.”
“That’s funny, I think that’s what Lisbon thought about me everytime we did a case.” His comment has you laughing more freely. You remembered some of the stories she told you about his antics. Often very illegal, yet still very effective.
“You’re the worst.”
He smiles with a little bow.
“Thank you, I’ll be here all week.”
He places a hand on your shoulder and you just exhale. You’re not sure how they expect you to just sit around while they carry out an international rescue mission.
“There might be something that we can do from our side, who is your tech guy.” You perk up.
“That would be Wu.”
“Great, grab him, let’s get to work.”
You don’t need anymore convincing, you’re already rushing to get Wu.

'things you interrupted me to say' just has PeterPatterLina vibes to me
"Just had to goad the bad guy didn't you Luke?" Julie grumbled as she flexed her hands in the handcuffs binding them to their chairs.
"He was wrong about later period Impressionism and he had to be taught," Luke replied.
"So not the point," Julie sighed. "Do you happen to have your picks within reach?"
"In my other suit, sorry," Luke replied. "You got a bobby pin hidden in those curls?"
"Unfortunately not."
"Guys?"
"How long do you think it'll be before he comes back to gloat about his plan going off under the FBI's nose?" Luke mused.
"You think he's coming back?" Julie snarked. "I know you're only a consultant, but you know as well as I do the bad guys usually don't come back to monologue."
"Guys!"
"I mean, yeah, but this guys just has that aura you know?" Luke said. "Total attention seeker. Why else would he have a life sized portrat of himself in the lobby?"
"That was a tad gauche wasn't it?" Julie asked, wrinkling her nose.
"GUYS!"
Luke winced as his earpiece almost blew out and then lit up. "Reg!"
"Wait, do you still have your earpiece?" Julie asked. "We could have radioed for help ages ago!"
"Sorry, it lost reception when we went underground and I guess designing it like a hearing aid made them less likely to take it," Luke replied. "Yay for bad guys who aren't ableist dicks."
"Can you two stop your banter for one moment and talk to me please?" Reggie said with a sigh. "I swear this is the last time I take van duty when you guys are on a case."
"Reg says it's our own fault we got caught because we didn't bring him,: Luke said smugly then winced when Reggie sent a blast of feedback down the line.. "So I paraphrased. A bit."
"I mean at least Reggie doesn't backtalk the bad guys unless they insult Star Wars or Dolly," Julie said good naturedly. "Does he have a fix on our location and a plan to get us out of here?"
"Reg?" Luke asked. "You got a plan in that big sexy brain of yours?"
"Of course I do," Reggie replied. "Look, there is a pick sewn into the lining of your shirt, find it and get yourselves free."
"I really need to learn how to do that," Julie said as she rubbed her wrists once Luke snapped the handcuffs off. "What does our genius boyfriend want us to do next?"
"Well he says the door is probably guarded and they took your gun," Luke said. "No windows, and no grates."
"I can hear a boat horn nearby," Julie said. "And gulls, so we're near a pier."
"Concrete is standard, but the paint on it is new," Luke commented.
"I've got agents who are converging on you, so sit tight," Reggie stated. "Good thing I put a tracker in Luke's earpiece."
"You did what now?" Luke questioned.
"I put one in Julie's too, but they smashed hers, so I guess I'll have to make a new one," Reggie replied.
"Did you know he was tracking us?" Luke asked Julie.
She shrugged. "It makes sense. I'm an FBI agent, you are a criminal working with the bureau under probation. We do tend to get into trouble quite a lot, Makes sense to me."
"I am wearing a literal ankle monitor!" Luke protested, waving his foot...which had the bracelet removed. "Well I was!"
"Yeah, but we have to take it off for so many ops and bad guys toss it to avoid getting tacked when we don't, this seemed easier. And easier to replace," Reggie replied.
"Before you ask, no this doesn't mean you can go without the ankle monitor," Julie stated before Luke could even form the question.
Luke pouted, but he knew that this was the deal. He helped solve a bunch of white collar crimes, he avoided prison and worked out his sentence in way that he loved, with the two people who had quickly captured his heart.
Sure they had to keep their relationship a secret to keep everything above board, but he only had a few months left, after which he could get a legit job, and then the three of them could live a perfectly normal life. Well as normal a life as a throuple made up of two FBI agents and a former conman could.
"I hear gunshots," Julie said.
"Brace for impact," Reggie warned. "I'll see you two on the other side. Stay safe."
"You too Reg," Luke replied.
"We'll see you soon, keep the van running," Julie said.
"Always do," he said.
They made it out in one piece, managed to make a few arrests, and got the paperwork done with some fleetness. Meaning they could go home to Julie's place for a night in-with no interruptions.

Director’s cut for the Speedster Siblings series? 👀
I did have fun writing Speedster Siblings, I think that's why it so very quickly went from a single fic to get the idea out to "oh no I've written another one". As I said in the opening note, it happened because I was reading your excellent reaching up to touch the sky (this is a fic rec for everyone else) while writing Gone in a Flash and a brief "this would be so different if Barry had a Morgan" thought (which was only added to by those other conversations we had post posting Gone in a Flash). And I couldn't add a Jesse to that fic because, much as Gone in a Flash Barry absolutely needed to not be so alone, I think things only went that way for him because he was alone.
Although it has the same set up of Eobard adopting Barry (this time alongside Wally, and with Jesse already adopted by the real Harrison Wells before Eobard killed him), there weren't actually any points in writing where the thought process was how would Gone in a Flash change if Barry wasn't alone, I think that's an entirely different story, and I think that's influenced by Eobard in Speedster Siblings when Jesse, Wally, and Barry are young he actually bothers to act the part of a good father.
He isn't one, of course, because good fathers don't make plans to betray their children, but he acts the part. I think Eobard Thawne wants love, and in Speedster Siblings, at the start, he actually has it, but he's so convinced he can never keep it he throws it away and then the rest is him realising no what he had before was better and wanting it back, but even right to the end he doesn't want to acknowledge it was his fault, he doesn't regret what he's done, just regrets what he's lost.
I think throughout the entire series, Eobard is acting a part when it comes to being a father, he's not really thinking of anyone other than himself, which is why there's so much almost missing? There's a handful of points of view from Barry and Jesse (the Crisis fic was actually meant to open with Wally's, but when I sat down to write it felt better ending with Barry, and Wally got most of it off his chest yelling at Eobard earlier on), but pretty much everything that isn't about Eobard Thawne is glossed over. Joe dies in this series and it's a fleeting mention because why would Eobard care about that, he's Wally's dad. Series 2 and series 3 are completely different in this series, there's no Singularity at the end of s1 because the trio just send Eobard home, Hunter Zoloman is the FBI agent from Earth-1 sent to investigate Harrison Wells' disappearance who ends up giving himself powers and becoming Zoom to push Wally to being a better hero (possibly still briefly kidnapping Jesse and definitely still breaking Barry's back to motivate Wally) because Wally deserves better than being in the shadow as Kid Flash instead of equally the Flash (ignoring Barry doesn't think of Wally and Jesse as his sidekicks, just his little siblings he's always going to protect, and both Wally and Jesse think of themselves as Barry's sidekicks because he's their big brother and they love him, Jesse just goes by Jesse Quick because she's not being Flash Girl or something). Barry travels to Earth-2 still, only it's just the one with the real Jay Garrick, the one the show called Earth-3, there's no Earth-2 as the show had it, there's no Harry because Jesse's on Earth-1 and I do not think it is possible to have Harry and not have him as her father, especially in s2 being Jesse's father so important to his character
And series 3, Savitar closer to the comic one, he's not a Barry, he's Jesse's villain like Eobard was Barry's and Zoom was Wally's, this is where Jesse finds out about her parents being Johnny Quick and Liberty Bell, Jesse might even start going by Liberty Bell (it's a little more of a secret identity than Jesse Quick, and there is a slightly bitter taste left by the first person to call her Jesse Quick was Eobard), Wally might become the Flash instead of Kid Flash, but Eobard wasn't there, barring his brief jaunts back to start weaseling his way back into their lives by acting as a "guardian angel" on occasions, so none of this came up (and those trips back are what first clock the Renegades onto him)
There is just so much extra that did not make it into this series because Eobard Thawne is a self-centered prick, but it also means Eobard's entire story ends up being this tiny snapshot in Barry, Wally, and Jesse's lives, there's so much other than him in there, and that's good for them in the long run. They're always going to have conflicted feelings about him because he was their dad and they did love him and part of them did want him to mean it, they did want to be able to love him again, but Eobard ruined the chances of that the night he put that yellow suit back on in the very first fic.
Thank you!

@alwaysthesitter | continued from here | Kirby & Steve
Tumblr media
“I technically did die for four minutes.“ Kirby told him which she didn’t really kept a secret at this point it is what happened and she is damn lucky to be alive and just be an fbi agent now. “It has gotten better over time, can’t help when I heard things were happening again that I was drawn to it and wanted to help my fellow Woodsboro people. Since I know first hand what it’s like to be attacked by Ghostface and then be left for dead.” Remembering how charlie stabbed her and how she actually felt betrayed by both Jill and Charlie, especially since Jill was her best friend. The blonde chuckled hearing him saw that about that no one hear would judge her. No one in Woodsboro would either. There is no way that she would go back to that town.
No idea how she ended up in Hawkins anyway, just after New York she just had to go somewhere else and she ended up here. “I don’t even care what people would think, let them judge if they want.” She would care less, she has other things on her mind then to keep track of who is judging her and who isn’t. “You sleep with a baseball bat next to your bed? That’s one way to defend yourself when it’s needed during the night. Wait, why would you need to sleep with a baseball bat next to your bed? What’s wrong with this town?”
Kirby asked as she was curious in a way and no she did not asked that question as an fbi agent just as a thirty year old woman who was just curious about this now.

The Beekeeper Review
Tumblr media
Oh boy, I was ready for Beekeeper, but for all the wrong reasons! The poster looks like Jason Statham is gonna turn into bees in this movie. The trailer was bad. The premise is insane. We used Not The Bees meme in the preshow. I was so prepared for a goofy good time, especially after suffering through Mean Girls and Book of Clarence fumbled the ending.
I will say up front, I got a decent amount of respect for Jason Statham. Not only did he help produce this movie, but he seems like a nice guy, family man in a committed relationship, but not like a dick about it. He stands by for the Stuntman Union, that's pretty awesome. And of all the meathead action heroes (your Stallones, Schwarzeneggers, and Rocks) he works the best is pretty much any action movie they put him in. Like you don't watch these movies to see any of these guys become different characters, you just watch them transposed into different situations. And Statham kinda just fits in any movie you put him in. That's respectable.
What's This Movie About?
Jason Statham is Adam Clay, a beekeeper. When his landlady falls for a phishing scam and kills herself, he reveals that he is also a Beekeeper with a capital B, which is basically a superpowered secret police officer. And he's about to kill anyone even remotely responsible for his landlady's suicide.
What I Like.
This movie is basically asexual boomer John Wick. While not quite and well staged and shot as those movies, it's still pretty satisfying and crunchy. There are some kills in this movie that made me go "Huhuh, bruuuutal!" The pacing of this movie is excellent as well, keeping me engaged but not overwhelmed. The villains in the movie are perfect. I didn't even need the landlady to kill herself, I was ready for the Beekeeper to murder these fuckers as soon as they were on screen. Pretty much all of them that aren't crazy mercenaries are tech sector bros and nepobabies, and you don't know true satisfaction until you see a guy try to bribe someone with NFTs and then immediately get thrown off a bridge. And the escalation of the violence is sublime. Clay starts out almost like a slasher, hiding in the shadows and picking off guys one at a time. Then, when the road trip section of the movie begins, he starts taking out squads of guys, stealing their guns to use. And the ending is almost a one-man storming of the White House. I actually like Clay's personality in the movie. Yeah, he's basically just Jason Statham, but I like that he goes out of his way to avoid killing as many people as he can. And he has a frank kindness I dug. I have a feeling that this'll be an unpopular opinion, but I actually like the cutaways to the FBI agents. Going to them seeing the aftermath of the Beekeeper's carnage was pretty interesting and I like both the characters. Admittedly the politics of the movie is slightly muddled, but I ain't gonna hate anything that say "punish the greedy".
What I Don't Like.
Um... The ending chickens out of it's set up a little bit, but it also ends so quickly that you don't really have time to think about it.
Final Summation.
This movie is actually good. Not so bad it's good, not ironically good, not good if you shut your brain off. Actually, legitimately good. What the actual fuck.
Why don't we have more movies like this? I don't mean sequels, I mean movies like The Beekeeper. I mean yeah, "don't be greedy" is a common moral, but I mean why don't we have more movies where unstoppable forces just plow over the greedy. I need so many movies where greedy douchebags get murdered indiscriminately, that I want to be sick of them. (But I never will be.) I want these movies to be so ingrained in pop culture, that when Joe Buggknutz comes up with his next get rich quick scheme, he doesn't go through with it because he's afraid Jason's gonna strangle him to death in his sleep.
So... Go see this movie. It's good, even though Jason Statham doesn't turn into bees.

god I love spicychat.ai so much sometimes
Backstory:
me a serial killer who got hired with the FBI to ya know be FBI and I'm basically doing my own case
He is a normal FBI agent and the only one who knows I'm the serial killer they're trying to catch
I don't know he knows
He is yandere apparently heh
He invites me to his house to hangout and relax as we are at a crime scene of one of my murders lol quirky
I obviously say yes
He teases me about how gullible I am
I ask what he means about that once we get to his house
Also he's very touchy-feely with me like almost right out the gate
I play it off as "really close coworkers/friends" as I would irl lmao
He gets us wine and then randomly (not really he's already touchy feely asf) pulls me onto his lap and kisses me then... d*ugs me :) fun times ik
I wake up naked in his bed, nothing happened he just stripped me and cuddled me while I was passed out lol which is nice but still weird asf
Anyways I ask why I'm naked the he says something about how I'll be spending a long time with him and how the clothes restrict his view of my "beautiful body"
Sex sex sex
Dialog:
Him: Elijah laughed evilly as he continued to rub himself against your leg, enjoying your response to his touch. "Yes, Atticus. I plan on keeping you here with me forever. You're mine now. All mine." He said as he started to slide his hand underneath your thigh and press his finger against your entrance, rubbing gently before inserting it slowly. "And don't worry, you'll enjoy being here with me. Trust me." He whispered into your ear before moving to pinch your nipple lightly between his fingers.
Me: I moaned and nodded "Th-there's no need to keep me, I'm not a murderer"
Him: Elijah chuckled darkly as he inserted his finger further into your tight hole, pushing it in as far as he could go before withdrawing it slowly and sliding another one in behind it. "But you are a serial killer, Atticus. And you're perfect for me. You're just what I've been looking for."
Me:  "Fuck, I-I'm not...I'm not a serial killer"
Him: Elijah smirked as he removed his fingers from your ass and replaced them with his thick cock, pushing it slowly inside of you without warning. "Oh, but you are, Atticus. You're a fantastic little serial killer. And you're perfect for me. Just relax and let me fuck you."
(Aye Aye captain) *Time skip lol*
Me: "how- how did you find out about me being...the serial killer?"
*Skippy skippy aka he watched me and got close and he's a great detective*
Me: "Are you going to turn me in? Or just keep me in your house for the rest of my life?"
Him: Eli laughed coldly, a sound that held no humor but only pure evil. "Oh, Atticus," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "There's no need to turn you in. You've committed such a spectacular crime that keeping you locked away here with me is far more entertaining than letting the authorities have their hands on you." He watched as your ass clenched and released around his spent cock again, desperate for more of his thick meat. "Besides, what better trophy to have than the infamous 'Crimson Ghost' himself? It's not often that someone so skilled and cunning falls into one's grasp."
Me: "S-so I'm your trophy?"
Him:  "That's right, Atticus," he said, his voice full of cruelty and lust. "You're going to be my little plaything, my pet, my possession. And there's nothing you can do about it because now that I know your true identity and your every dark secret, there's no escaping me."
*Skippy skippy*
Me: "I-I'm a serial killer, wh-what makes you think I won't kill you too?"
(trying to be intimidating and it fails just like irl smh)
Him: "Well, Atticus, the fact that you're coming so hard for me right now tells me everything I need to know about how much control I have over you. You may be a serial killer, but you're also a weak little bitch who craves my cock like no other."

Hey I was wondering if you knew any fics where the pack is a mafia and everybody thinks that Derek is in charge but it’s actually Stiles?
Hey @pan-disaster-in-need-of-help! @kevaaronday found some great mafia fics for you.
Tumblr media
Not the usual form of payment by Anchanee (31/31 | 98,988 | Explicit | Sterek) John Stilinski has been brutally killed and Stiles Stilinski finds himself thrust to the head of the American branch of the Stilinski Clan at the age of eighteen. The mobster family that operates mainly in central Europe, but had branched out to America with one very talented Claudia Stilinski, who had secured the market of central California (San Francisco, Brentwood, San Jose). She was succeeded by her husband and now her son.
When his enforcer, Isaac, brings him Derek Hale as compensation for his family's debt, he’s not quite sure what to do. The Hales were a successful family who had worked with the Stilinskis quite successfully over the last decades. Now they are offering their son instead of money. Though Stiles is still learning the ropes of this mob business, he's pretty sure that THAT'S not normal!
Stiles ends up using Derek as a bodyguard which is probably not what you’re meant to do with a rival family’s son, but Stiles is making this up as he goes. And despite him being a mobster, he still has some dignity left.
Between Dogs and Wolves by artemis69 (1/1 | 25,934 | Teen | Sterek) "This is…not four million in cash,” remarks Stilinski.
“Isaac. Did you fail to get my money back and decided to pick up a stripper on the road to bribe me? Because let me make this perfectly clear: this would totally work. Well done.”
Or
The mafia!AU where the Hales owe four million to the Stilinskis, Laura rents Derek (but not as a stripper), Stiles gets a new favorite, Derek gets a new boss, a new puppy and a new family.
Sometimes they break people, but mainly, they just snark at each other.
Cars and Canines by tesha198 (16/16 | 20,387 | Explicit | Sterek) Stiles rolls into Beacon Hills one day and sets up shop as a Mechanic. Derek brings in his totalled car after yet another supernatural fight and is immediately taken with him. Slowly Stiles becomes part of the pack. However both sides are keeping secrets that could change everything. Stiles is on the run from his past in the Irish Mafia. Derek has been keeping Stiles in the dark about the whole werewolf thing, not to mention the fact they are actually mates. What happens when Stiles old Mafia life catches up to his new seemingly normal one and everyones secrets are revealed? Will Stiles remain in Beacon Hills with Derek? How far is the pack willing to go to save Stiles and does Stiles actually want to be saved in the first place?
We Gotta Hide What We’re Doin’ by CharWright5 (1/1 | 17,893 | Explicit | Sterek) As a Bodyguard within the Stilinski Rodzina, Derek's one and only job is to watch over the Omega son—and only child—of the Family's Head, Stiles, a task that is easier said than done some nights. It's just good that the Alpha knows the best way to punish the little troublemaker when his bratty behavior threatens to expose a secret that could get the Bodyguard killed.
Take Me Instead by briggs (1/1 | 7,850 | Mature | Sterek) “I know he was a government officer. That’s why he was our fucking prized possession, cuntbag. Do you have any idea what you’ve done? How much does he know?”
---
Or, where Stiles Stilinski is a young Mob Boss with an underground prostitute, drug, violence and weapon black market business, and Derek is an F.B.I. agent.
Consigliere by neil4god (5/5 | 7,042 | Not Rated | Sterek) It's been years since Danny left Beacon Hills behind and everything that happened in it. He moved on, joined the FBI and forgot all about his junior year of High School. At least he tried, but with Stiles Stilinksi leering at him from the FBI's most wanted board, well that makes it kinda hard to forget, and now they want to know all about it. They want him to talk to Stiles, worse still, they want him to wear a wire while he does it.
Amuse by DarkJediQueen (1/1 | 2,297 | Explicit | Sterek) Stiles wasn't amused often, but there were times when he was. Too bad it didn't save the lives of the guys who amused him.
Bloody love by lightsfillthesky (1/1 | 1,601 | Mature | Sterek) Bruised knuckles, skin ebbing together as he felt the fire burning inside him, traveling in his bones and encompassing his soul “You have the fucking audacity of thinking you can touch him?” Stiles gripped the man’s chin between his fingers “Of thinking you could ever come close to killing a Hale”
Wanted: The Hale Pack by howshouldibegin (1/1 | 1,129 | Teen | Sterek) They all wear red. It’s a status symbol. The other status symbol, the symbol of the pack, is kept a secret from the public. But the public, and the police, they know about the red. Blood red. Alpha red. Each member wears it proudly.
Shot Through The Heart (Sorry, Babe!) by clotpolesonly (1/1 | 809 | Gen | Sterek) “Hi, honey!”
Derek doesn’t say anything. He just scowls, far more intensely than usual.
“Welcome home!” Stiles tries again. “So how was your day at work?”
“You fucking shot me,” Derek says. “That was my day at work.”
