katnep is the type of ship you'd expect nepeta to try really hard and dress all cutely and karkat be a bit more lazy and wear the same clothes BUT if we're all being honest karkat would absolutely dress up all fancy and nepeta would wear her usual clothes. karkat would go to kanaya in a heartbeat, kanaya would try to reach out to nepeta but nepeta will not comply.

bonus points if kanaya continues to try and make something pretty but also comfortable and fitting for nepetas tastes but it backfires because she then never takes it off and kanaya has to watch it very clearly become worn and ruined as nepeta rolls around in dirt. Kanaya accounted for that of course, but nepeta somehow surpassed her expectations anyways

i'm CRYING this is so funny. it's even funnier given what Jason did to Mia. like of all the morally questionable mob bosses Tim could've dragged home, he had to pick *that one*? Oliver is trying to be supportive of Tim and give Tim more agency than Bruce gave him, bc Oliver worked *hard* to steal this one and he's not going to lose all of the progress he made. and it does seem like Tim's doing *somewhat* of a decent job of making Jason less murdery. and Jason agrees to the rule he'll keep out of the Star City scene, but Gotham's still his fair game. and honestly, that makes Oliver like him just a *little bit* because if he's going to make Bruce's life more difficult, maybe Jason is alright.

it also does *not* help that when Oliver goes to Roy for support bc Roy agrees that Jason is untrustworthy as hell. but Roy is *also* the guy who had a daughter with Chesire, so the best he can do is give Oliver a shrug.

also think it's fun if Tim is sort of tense, expecting Oliver to put his foot down and tell Tim no. like he's not used to a vigilante parental figure who's actually good at the parent part, so it's weird having this level of freedom, esp when he knows Oliver does disapprove. but Oliver lets Tim figure out hs own love life and make his own mistakes, even if he's ranting to Dinah about Jason until two in the morning. it doesn't help that Jason makes no move to try to get along with Oliver. he's just a shit to be a shit. at this point Tim is pretty sure Jason enjoys driving Oliver up a wall more than he enjoys dating Tim. who's to say if it's true.

Totally not being inspired by any manhwa I've read or a specific certain harem anime that has been released recently but, something to consider: Reader who is suddenly stuck as the protagonist in a dating sim/anime/novel/whatever where you've got multiple Love Interests pining after you, but, you're actually not thrilled about any of this at all whatsoever and shoot everyone down, maybe youre even trying to find a way bsck home (unless its some isekai magic shit idk i would trade for that), but, even when you keep wanting to stay single, being VERY firm with people, sometimes even mean, the number of pursuers in your Actual Official Canon Harem who are after your heart (and body) keeps growing and growing and growing and they're ALL willing to share you no matter what

@murder-of-seppucrows said most of this and could explain it a lot better, but basically; meenah as a character, like the four alpha kids, gives context to the HIC character as a whole-- particularly in her interactions with other people. she has a pattern of taking advantage of vulnerable people (often younger than her) and sees no issues with that, found fun and amusement in tormenting someone until they had an actual mental snap from it (damara), inciting violence in others, and thought the idea of growing up to be a rich evil dictator was the coolest thing in the world.

it says a LOT about jane and the way she was raised and taken advantage of, it says a lot of the same with nana, and it can also surprisingly give a lot of insight into how HIC might have run alternia-- taking actual amusement in pitting people against each other or forcing them to violence, taking little shame in her manipulation-- all while seeming like the coolest, funniest bitch in the world; explaining the worship young trolls (like karkat) seem to have of her.

there's a lot more to meenah than this obviously but i feel like i don't see these aspects of meenah talked about much. it's interesting because you can very clearly see the ties from her to "postcanon jane", yet she runs an opposing rebellion for some reason instead.
