Thinking of yandere linked universe but the plot twist in all of this is that the real true yandere was always the first link, maybe he had a darling when he was imprisoned, maybe he did fall for hylia, only the goddess know and had see how absolutely terrified link could be so she take him as his chosen one, because she see him almost a monstrous as demise himself so what better than fight fire with fire? Any yandere link come from that part of the heroes spirit that stay still even reborn, and also why Hylia always bless them when they want to protect the darling, bless them taking darling scapes away, because hylia is terrified of his chosen one and prefer him doing his work willingly and what better motivation than a defenceless human darling?.

Hylia don't need to be a scheming bitch, all she have to do is make sure the human is safe and do one or other miracle in from of the links to prove their darling is a 'bless from the goddess'.
