The thing about experimental groups like shinee is that not everyone is going to like what they put out and that's okay. I love them but i also didn't like the new song from what i heard so far it's simply not for me and i don't think sm is forcing that sound on them either they're just following the trends. I don't understand why shawols pull the experimental contemporary group card to force you to like whatever they put out people have music preferences and the fact that they keep trying new things is what makes their title tracks a hit or miss with people. For a fandom with such a superiority complex they definitely can't handle criticism and they find any negative opinion to be a personal attack on the group when it's not and that's why i stopped interacting with them as well. I also hate the styling for the song i'm convinced their hair stylists have a vendetta against Taemin because they keep putting the worst extensions on his head (On a side note the bsides are actually good from what i heard so far)

you're spitting truth! and its wild bc all the other experimental groups have had musical division for a while now and its never been a big thing? like there are ppl who really think vixx cute songs are the peak of their discography 😭😭😭😭 and then you have the red vs velvet fans who disagree then move on but bc shawols are so used to being in a bubble where everyone licks shinee's boots its making them fucking deranged. and its just not fun to engage w anything shinee bc the fans just suck ass so severely.

but it brought me to the conclusion that, if shrek was a lesbian, if shrek was a woman, i think she would be exactly the same as canon movie shrek, actually, and in fact. to the point, she would be so indistinguishable, that i can no longer be convinced that canon movie shrek isnt a he/him lesbian, and im excited to rewatch all the movies through the lens of percieving shrek this way. i think it will be based. excited.

The Templars are, to him, the unquestioning aggressors. They’re brutish, cruel, and inhumane, and have the backing of a religious organization that gives them the freedom and means to be sadistic.

So he’s on the side of the mages, to a point. It’s not his fight, they’re not his people, but he’s not blind to the obvious oppression and genuinely horrific abuses they suffered that led to the top being blown off the whole thing (literally). He understands their desperation, even while he disagrees with some of the choices the loose coalition of free mages make.

But he is against the chaos boiling over to harm innocents. As the war progresses, neither side has clean hands, but he’s always going to lay the bulk of the blame at the Templars’ feet. He led a rebellion of oppressed people, and I know it got very dirty. He certainly didn’t have clean hands by the end of it, either. He, at least, is willing to admit that and doesn’t pretend to be a victim. 

Vivienne is right, though, that he doesn’t have a good long term solution to the conflict. As he succinctly tells Vivienne, if a mage does hurt an innocent, he’d simply kill them. And as Vivienne correctly points out, he’s made himself the arbiter of justice. That’s not sustainable and flirts dangerously close with tyranny. Or in the alternate, if there is no governing force and everyone should just act as they see fit - a truly egalitarian society with no order - it’s just rampant chaos.

So you know, a mirror to how his rebellion eventually went. Again, Solas and long term plans don’t always mix lol.
