The Villain’s Weapon Pt. 4
Summary: When you hit your head and lose your memory, you fall into Loki's clutches.
Warnings: Memory loss. Villain Loki. Fighting.
Part three
See My Masterlist Here
Loki went through your file for what felt like the hundredth time. You had grown even more powerful with his help. He couldn’t wait until he brought you out on the battlefield.
Your former teammates would be shocked. He kept tabs on the Avengers. He knew they had been looking for you. They thought he had either killed you or kept you to torture.
He smiled, thinking of tomorrow when he would bring you to fight against them. You would be fighting beside him. You would never reach your full potential with them. You were lucky, truly. It wasn’t every day that he offered to train others with magic.
Clint knocked on the door, interrupting his thoughts. “Hey boss, sorry to bother you.” He looked down at the open file on Loki’s desk. “Boss, we didn’t want to say anything, but we all think you’re getting too attached to the girl. You haven’t checked on the Tesseract in a week. We just don’t want you to get distracted.”
Loki stands, fists clenched by his sides. “So you have all been talking behind my back? Do not fret over me. She is still the enemy. But for the moment, she is on our side.”
Loki looks down at Clint, “ Do you miss me, Barton? Bitter because I haven’t been there to tuck you in at night? You could simply say that instead of assuming I don’t know what I’m doing.”
“Sir, I’m sorry. We were all worried.” “Rest assured, it takes more than a pretty face to distract me.” Loki pushes by him. How dare they presume he had any affection for you. He did have to admit, to himself only of course, that he did spend a lot of time thinking about you. But he had to keep you close. What if you got your memory back? He had to make sure you weren’t pretending.
He found you on the couch studying your Avengers flash cards he had Clint make you. Each one had a hero with their picture, powers, strengths, and weaknesses. He had been concerned that seeing them would jog your memory. He took them from you to quiz you. You knew them all.
You had hoped seeing the faces of the people you fought the most would bring back a memory, but it didn’t. The only one you thought was familiar was Thor. You voiced that to Loki and he told you it was because Thor is his brother, so you would know more about him than the others.
The day had finally come, you were going to fight with Loki. When the Avengers showed up, they seemed surprised to see you. Loki told you they would react that way because you usually fought beside him every time and you had been absent for weeks.
Captain America ran to you while Thor fought with Loki. “What are you doing with him? We have been looking for you. Did he hurt you?” You send a blast of magic at him, sending him to the ground. “Of course, he hasn’t hurt me. He would never hurt me.” He gets up, looking surprised.
“What are you doing? Just come with me, and I’ll take you home.” He grabs your wrists trying to pull you. “Why would I go with you?” You ask, shocked at his audacity. “Because you’re one of us. What did Loki tell you? You can’t trust him, Y/N.”
This must be the manipulation Loki warned you about. He was saying exactly what Loki said he would. Loki said they would try to turn you against him. Since you had your accident, they would think it was easy to get inside your head.
“Stop trying to confuse me, it won’t work.” You use your magic to lift him in the air slinging him away from you. The Black Widow comes up to you next. “Where the hell have you been? We have been looking everywhere for you, thinking you were dead. And you’ve been with Loki this whole time?”
You ignore her words, focusing on the ground. You send the dirt up, spiraling into a tornado, sweeping her away. You search for Loki, spotting him with Captain America. Loki grabs his shield, slinging it away from him.
“Y/N, please, my brother is lying to you. This isn’t you.” Thor, the biggest manipulator of the group, Loki had warned, tried to reason with you. “You’re the liar, Thor.” You roll your eyes at him, walking away, no longer wanting to argue. Thor strides over, only taking three steps to reach you.
He picks you up as if you were a doll, throwing you over his shoulder in one swift motion. “Thor! Put me down!” You scream, fists pounding into his muscled back. You wiggle, scratch, and pinch, but he doesn’t let up. You were planning on taking it easy on him. He is Loki’s brother, after all.
But you get madder with every step he takes. You focus on your magic, the way Loki taught you. You feel the power vibrate through you, as you see the light in your hand glowing brighter.
You aim, and blast at Thor, the magic putting a hole in his pants. He yelps, dropping you. You hit the hard ground with a thud, your head landing on a pointed rock. Instinctively, your hand comes up to touch the wound. When you withdraw it, you see the sticky blood on your fingers.
That’s when you feel it. Loki’s power flowing all around. The ground trembling as he stomps over to you. He takes you in his arms, holding you bridal style as he glares at Thor. “What did you do to her?!” He demands. Thor grabs his backside, wincing as he tries to stop the burning.
“She blasted my arse, brother. It surprised me. I did not think she had it in her. The last time I saw her, she couldn’t control her magic very well. I didn’t mean to drop her. It was an accident, Loki.” Thor turns around to show Loki the burned flesh. Before you can blink, you’re swept up in a cloud of green, Loki’s magic bringing you both home.

Intertwined Pt 2: Unspoken truth
Pairing: Loki x Female Reader
Summary: You and Loki are bound together as soulmates through red string. You are also given poems to help you figure it out along the way.
Word count: 4.6k
Tumblr media
Finally recovering from another episode of poems, you gained composer and looked towards Loki. He stared back at you with confusion in his eyes and you thought you saw his lips curve into a smirk. You were pulled from your thoughts when Steve started to talk.
"You know, last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everyone else, we ended up disagreeing" As he spoke, he took more and more steps closer to Loki.
"The soldier" The villain started to chuckle.
"Can I just say Mr Loki, you remind me of a green goblin" You stood beside Steve and Loki's smile dropped.
"A green goblin?" He almost seemed offended and you just nodded your head. "Guess you two are out of time"
"Oh, we're not the ones out of time" Steve replied and behind you Natasha zoomed closer in a ship. She pressed some buttons, which then opened a compartment to lower a gun type weapon.
"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down" The woman you remembered as Nat said on the PA.
"Well that ain't gonna work. While you're at it, you might as well ask him to leave earth" You spoke into an earpiece to talk to the woman and she didn't reply to your sarcasm.
Loki then fired another blue shot. This time to the ship behind you. Natasha steered and dodged, while Steve threw his shield at the villain. The shield came back to him like a boomerang and the man ran and hit Loki over the head with it.
When he didn't fall down, you ran and threw a punch, only to have your wrist get caught. You looked up at the villainous man before you and saw that his eyes were so green, they looked like shining emeralds. You hadn't realised that Loki also stared and Steve punched him again. You were both shook from whatever was happening and Loki and Steve started to hit each other with their weapons.
When Steve was knocked to the ground, you ran up and did a high kick. Loki dodged out the way and the two of you carried on sparring. Only, it was more like you were performing a dance.
"You're a good fighter darling" Loki said as he blocked another punch.
"You're not so bad yourself" You replied with a playful smirk as he grabbed your wrist and you twirled around. You decided to use the full of your power and you reached to touch the side of Loki's head. When you did, Loki just grabbed your wrist again but didnt remove it from its place.
"How did you get here?" Loki realised what you were doing and tried to stop himself from speaking.
"The Tesseract acted as a gateway and I walked through" He replied and then silently cursed himself for being suaded to answer you.
"And why is it, you're here?" You wanted him to answer one more question. You wanted to be of use to Fury and not let him down. However, Loki pushed your hand away before your powers could betray his silence.
"Not this time miss mischief" The male smirked at your annoyed expression.
The dance fighting continued until you were able to land a punch. Part of you meant to punch him like that, but another part felt horrible.
You were going to continue, when you heard rock music playing from the ship and something flying over. The closer it got, the more you saw that it was someone in a red metal suit. They lifted both their hands and shot golden blasts at the horned villain. He flew back to the ground against some concrete stairs and you slightly winced.
The flying figure landed in front of him and he stood in a fighting stance, with weapons popping out from the back of the suit. Steve and you joined him.
"Make your move Reindeer games" The figure spoke in a muffled voice. You laughed and everyone looked at you.
"What, it was funny. Although I like green goblin better" You shrugged and when you looked down, you saw Loki trying to hold back a smile.
Loki proceeded to move his hands apart and slowly, his armour disappeared. Almost like magic and left his heads up as if he was being arrested. In return, the figure also lowered his weapons.
"Good move" Loki stared at you intensely as Steve sighed.
"Mr Stark" You whipped your head around.
"Captain" Was the suits reply.
"Wait! That's Mr stark under there?" You pointed to the suit and Steve gave you a cold stare.
"Yes, it was in the debriefing package that you said you read. Did you not?" The man before you folded his arms and waited for your answer.
"I skimmed it actually" You looked away in embarrassment and Steve just rolled his eyes.
"Either way, good to meet you kid" Stark put his metal arm out and you shook it with a smile.
"Nice to meet you too, big fan of your work" The man chuckled before restraining the villain and loading him onto the ship. You walked behind with Steve.
"So, you're just gonna start acting like a dick to me" You snapped quietly.
"Let's not do this now, we're on a mission" Steve answered you shortly.
"To do what? We won against the villain and now all that's left is dropping him off. Plus he's harmless right now" You whispered back harshly.
"Still, lets not right now" He sped up in front and you huffed with annoyance.
Once the ship took off, you sat next to Loki and stared at him. Steve and Stark stood near the cockpit, all while giving you a confused glance. Stark had finally removed the mask on his suit and looked just like you imagined. He had brown spiky hair and a goatee.
Loki never looked in your direction, but you could tell he knew what you were thinking.
"I don't know anything about what we saw" The man turned to you with a sort of sad smile and you found yourself focusing in on his emerald eyes again.
"I wasn't thinking about that" When in actual fact you were and now you were looking at every detail that formed on his face.
"Don't try to deceive me, you're not the only one that can read minds darling"
"don't call me darling" You chuckled.
"Why ever not?" Loki spoke with such a soft tone, that you felt small Goosebumps on your arms.
"Because, you don't know me and i don't know you"
"Trust me, there'll be plenty of that in the future" The male gave you a wink.
"Sure" You smirked.
"Only to agent y/n" You heard Natasha whisper into her headset.
"I'll be right back green goblin, don't go anywhere" You patted the villain on the back and he smiled softly.
"I don't like it" You heard Steve say.
"What don't you like?" You asked and the man slightly glared at you.
"I don't like the fact that you're acting all chummy with that guy" Steve pointed to Loki.
"Are you jealous of a villain? Cause last I checked we weren't anything, exclusive" The last word rolled on your tongue like a bad taste.
"I'm not jealous" The blonde retaliated, but you could clearly see him clenching his jaw as if to stop himself from throwing any punches.
"Then what is it?"
"It has never been that easy. He packs a wallop" That's when you chuckled.
"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow" Stark joins. "What's your thing, Pilates?"
"What?" The question caught Steve off guard.
"It's like calisthenics. You must've missed a couple things, doing time as a Capsicle" Stark finished and you snickered at the new nickname until you calmed down.
"Nah, goes to the gym and punches the bags till they fall off" You reply without thinking.
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in" The blonde ignored your response.
"You told me you knew and that it was in the debriefing" You yelled.
"I lied, just wanted to mess with you" The male shrugged.
"Well, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you" Stark answered.
Before you knew it, lightning was shooting out left, right and centre around the ship. It was almost like it came out of nowhere. Everyone looked to Loki and he had an expression that made him seem uncomfortable and worried.
"What, scared of a little thunder?" Steve asked.
"I'm not overly fond of who follows" You questioned his meaning and soon heard a thump on the top of the ship.
"I swear if that's an enemy of yours, I want no part of it Loki!" You stated as you threw your hands in the air. Stark put on his mask and opened the end hatch.
"What're you doing?" Steve asked and a tall figure dropped on the platform.
"Stark is apparently being hospitable and letting this asshole in" You gestured to a man who wore some type of silver armour and a red cape. He had long hair, which was blonder than Steve's and a stubble. "Sorry sir, would you like anything to drink?" You sarcastically gestured for the man to enter and bowed.
Tony stood in front and the stranger smashed an unseemly large hammer into his chest, leaving him to fly backwards. The man then moved over to where Loki was and pulled him up to face him. They stared for a few seconds before Loki was dragged out the ship.
"Get back here, we need him!!" You yelled as you chased them to the platform and stopped when they dropped out.
"Now there's that guy" Tony said as he finally stood back up. You stormed back over and punched Steve in the arm.
"Is he Asgardian?" Nat asked from her pilots seat.
"A friendly?" Steve asked.
"Is he an accomplice?" You asked.
"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost" Was all Stark replied with as he started walking back to the end of the ship.
"Hey, we at least need a plan tin can" You shout as you followed the suited man.
"I have a plan and don't call me that" You could imagine him rolling his eyes.
"I'm coming with you then" As Stark started to fly to the ground, you jumped after him and grabbed his foot.
"Are you kidding me? Let go!!" Stark yelled down to you as he lost his balance.
"No, I said I was coming" As you spoke, you started to lose your grip and then all together, fell from the sky.
You plummeted to the ground and screamed as much as you could. Looking up, it didn't seem that Stark realised you had slipped. You continued to scream until you felt a pair of strong arms grab you in a bridal style and flew to the ground. It wasn't till you looked up, that you saw the man who took Loki and that you were stood atop a mountain.
"Are you alright?" The man spoke with concern and had had ocean blue eyes.
"Huh, so you do have manners" You plopped out of his grasp and saw Loki in front of you. "Two of you working together or is this some kind of rivalry?" You pulled your lips into a tight line as you heard Loki laugh.
"Ha, that's funny. No, this runs deeper than rivalry darling" He smiled wickedly.
"We're brothers" The man behind said and your eyes widened.
"Sure we grew up together, but I was always a shadow to his greatness" You saw the slightest bit of pain wash over Loki's face before it disappeared into darkness. "I have seen the true power of the Tesseract, and when I wield it..."
"Who showed you this power? Who controls the would be king?" The blonde walked closer to Loki and grabbed his shoulders.
"I am a king!!" Loki yelled and you flinched.
"Not here!" The man yelled back and you walked beside him.
"Loki, where is the Tesseract?" You asked softly as you carefully placed a hand on his cheek. The villain looked at you with sadness and then a smile.
"I don't have it my dear" The blonde beside you went to throw a punch and you stood in the way, taking the hard blow. Before the male took a step forward, you saw Stark fly into him and past you and Loki.
You dropped to the ground and clung to your cheek. The pain caused a ringing in your ears and your cheek felt hot and tingly. You felt arms hold you by the shoulders and then someone lift your chin up. Tears began to prick at bottom of your eyes, threatening to drop. When you finally looked up to see the figure, you were surprised to see Loki and that's when the tears ran down.
"Why are you crying my dear?" He wiped your cheeks softly and smiled.
"Why didn't you run?" You spoke between cries.
"I'm sorry? I don't think I follow"
"Why didn't you run when that guy got flown to god knows where?" You looked at him quizzically.
"Because you're hurt" He furrowed his brows as if it was the most obvious answer and you grinned. "Now let me see" Loki whispered as he took hold of your hand and moved it away from your cheek.
"Is it bad?" You muttered and the man shook his head.
"Just red, but should go down soon" The male stroked the redness of your cheek and you felt the ease of where the pain used to be.
"Thank you, Loki"
"Anytime, darling" You playfully pushed his shoulder.
"Thought I told you not to call me that"
"And I thought you knew, I don't listen to anyone" The male chuckled and locked eyes with you. You both inched a little closer and then heard a loud crash, snapping you to look away from one another.
Loki coughed behind you and you took in a big sigh. Hearing a few yells you turned to see that at the bottom of the cliff, Stark and the blonde were in the middle of a fight. The guy with the hammer, lifted it high and conjured up lightning.
"You have got to be kidding" You gritted and Loki laughed at your reaction. "What you laughing at green goblin?"
"No reason" He shrugged as the guy then shot the lightning towards Tony, frying up his suit. However, he shot right back.
Tony flew at the blonde guy and they continued to fight as they drew further away from you.
"Guess they forgot I'm here" You threw your arms up and slapped your lap.
"I'm sure they'll return" Loki stood up.
"Leaving already?" You stared at him wondering what to do now.
"If I stay, I'll get caught and I've had enough of that for one day" He smiled widely and you too stood up.
"What makes you think I won't stop you?" You folded your arms over your chest and Loki walked up to you. He leaned in and his lips brushed against your ear.
"Because you wouldn't of stopped me if I had kissed you moments ago" His voice was barely a whisper and his breath felt hot against your skin.
You could of sworn that the redness from where you were punched grew even redder. You tried to respond but your voice had hitched and you just stood awkwardly as Loki turned away and fled.
Soon, you heard a sort of explosion and carefully ran down a narrow path that led to the bottom of the cliff. You ran and made it to the guys before they all thought you were dead.
"Miss me" You grinned widely and Tony shook your hand.
"Thought you were dead pipsqueak" You rolled your eyes at the new name.
"At least it's better than Capsicle" You laughed as you looked to Steve.
"Midgardian, we haven't formally met. I'm Thor" The blonde who saved you smiled.
"Nice to meet you, I'm y/n" You smiled back.
"As much as I like meetings like these. Here's a question agent, where's Loki?" Steve asked harshly.
"He got away from me" You lied and then you heard Nat on your headset.
"We've located and restrained Loki, come back and we'll head to Mr Fury" The woman spoke and the line went dead.
Steve held onto Tony's hands as he flew up and you held onto Thor. It didn't take long for your small group to reach the ship and when saw Loki, you gave him a sad smile.
You never said a word until you reached the larger ship that Fury was on. A few guards had come to collect the villain and escorted him through some doors and your group made its way to the bridge. Everyone was listening in to Nick and Loki's conversation through a PA.
Although everyone was listening, your mind was elsewhere. You would be too, if it wasn't for the man who almost kissed you. You felt for your lips and tried to imagine what it would've been like. Soft and sweet or rough and heated. Banner spoke and it snapped you from any thoughts that should be like forbidden fruit to you.
"Really grows on you doesn't he?"
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked the man that stood deep in thought.
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not from Asgard, nor any world known" He sadly looked around the room of your group. "He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth, in return, I suspect, the Tesseract" He finished.
"An army, from outer space" Steve looked to the group and then you.
"He's building another portal then" You roll your eyes.
"That's what he needs Erik Selvig for" Banner finished.
"Selvig?" Thor looked at the man quizzically.
"He's an astrophysicist" Banner replied.
"A friend" Thor responded.
"Loki has him under some kind of spell" Natasha mentioned with a sadness upon her face.
"And one of ours" You mentioned.
"I want to know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here" Steve wondered aloud.
"Then let me go in and find out" You stood in front of Mr Capsicle.
"Y/n, I don't think we should focus on Loki right now" Banner defended.
"Well you guys can focus on other situations, I'll focus on Loki" You stormed out to the hall and heard footsteps behind you.
"You do know he killed 80 people in 2 days right?" Nat warned and you continued walking.
"Y/n, wait!" Steve yelled as he grabbed your arm to turn you around. You shook it off and stared daggers into his gaze.
"What do you want Captain?" You spat out the last word and Steve winced.
"I'm sorry, about before. I never once thought it was just fooling around"
"Then why lie to me? Why hurt me like that?" Every question was finished with a tear staining your cheeks.
"I don't know, maybe I didn't want a repeat of what happened to me last time" Steve looked at the ground and your heart broke. You felt for his cheek and smiled weakly.
"I'm sorry, but you have lied to me one too many times now, it's best we just leave it in the past now"
You turned to walk away again and this time, Steve pulled you back and locked his lips with yours for a brief second. He let you go and without another word left to head back to the bridge.
You found the room that was holding Loki and with a deep breath, you walked in. Seeing Loki had somehow put your mind at ease and made you question what you were doing.
"Hello daring, miss me already?" The mischievous man smirked towards you.
"Always the charmer aren't you?" You smirked back and walked closer to the cage. "You gonna tell us anything about your intentions?" You looked at him hopefully.
"Sorry dear, I can't do that" His smile faded and he continued to stand tall before you.
"Can't, or won't?" You folded your arms over your chest as the god before you thought long and hard.
"Won't I'm afraid" He shrugged.
You pressed some buttons that opened the door and when you walked in, they shut automatically.
"Will you tell me anything that's the truth" You pleaded and the man smiled weakly.
"I like you miss mischief" He smiled as he caressed your cheek and you did the same.
"Then tell me why you let yourself get caught" You smiled slightly in hopes he'll allow the power to force his truth out.
"Sorry darling, that doesn't work on me anymore" The man smirked devilishly as he lightly touched your hand.
He gazed deeply into your eyes as he inched in closer. He then placed another hand upon your hip and pulled you in to meet him in the middle. Your breath hitched from the fast movement and you locked your eyes onto the lines of his lips. You threaded your fingers through his hair and pulled him in to close the remaining gap between you. You pulled away just as quick as you went in.
"I'll continue to play your little game, green goblin" You winked and walked out the prison cell.
"Touché, my dear" The villain laughed as you left to head back to the bridge.
Everyone turned and stared you down when you returned.
"Where've you been agent?" Tony asked and you shrugged in return.
"Thought I could get info from greenie" You answered.
"Anyway, me and Banner are going to do some tracking, you in to have fun?" Stark patted you on the back as the two left the room and you ran after them.
You mainly looked at the sceptor and listened as the two men geeked out about the science of it all. Tony also shocked Banner on the side and you laughed.
"You really have got a lid on it haven't you". Stark seemed impressed and you heard the yelling of Steve behind you.
"Is everything just a joke to you?" His voice boomed in the room.
"Steve, it's okay just calm down" You stepped in front of him.
"Funny things are" Tony put out bluntly and you turned to glare at him.
"Not helping" You spat.
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship, isn't funny. No offence doc" Steve's glance was cold.
"Why don't you leave and cool down for a bit?" You tried to push the tall male through the doors, but failed.
"You need to focus on the problem Mr Stark and y/n why don't you leave instead" Steve spoke harshly.
"Because I don't want to" The glared at the man and looked back at Tony.
"First off, leave y/n alone. Second, what, you think I'm not? Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us?" Starks questions made you stop and think what you hadn't thought before until now.
"You have a point"
"I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables"
"You think Fury's hiding something?" Steve questioned.
"He's a spy Captain. 'the' spy, his secrets have secrets. Bugging her too, isn't it" Tony pointed to you and you nodded slightly.
"Not as much as Einstein here" You chuckled and you saw Tony's lips twitch up a little.
"What about you doctor?" Steve asked as he faced Banner, who sighed.
"'A warm light for all mankind' Loki's jab at Fury about the cube" He started.
"Yeah, we heard it" You pointed out.
"I think that was meant for you" Banner turned to Stark. "Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it was still all over the news"
"The Stark tower? That big, ugly..." You elbowed him in the arm to shut up and Tony gave him a sort of sad glance. "Building in New York?"
"It's powered by an arc reactor, a self-sustaining energy source" Banner continued.
"So, your saying, it could run itself for like what, a year?" You asked.
"It's just a prototype" Tony shrugged it off. "I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now"
"Then why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D bring him in on the Tesseract project?" You pointed out the big question.
"And what are they doing in the energy business in the first place?" Banner joined.
"I guess I should look into that once my decryption program finishes breaking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secure files" Tony starts to walk out as he looks at a tablet in his hands.
"I'm sorry, did you say..." You look at Steve.
"Just let him do his thing, maybe he'll find something useful"
"Jarvis has been running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours, I'll know every dirty secret S.H.I.E.L.D has ever tried to hide"
"If you get caught, you're screwed" You laugh nervously.
"Maybe, blueberry?" He offers you a container of the fruit and you gladly took a few.
"And you're confused as to why they didn't want you around" You glared at Steve again.
"An intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not awesome" You laugh at Tony's comment and Steve rolls his eyes.
"I think Loki's trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war and if we don't stay focused, he'll succeed"
"Have you questioned him about his motives yet?" You glance at the tall blonde in front of you.
"No, but I'm sure you have" He smirked, but in a dark way as if he knows what happened in the cell.
"Like I said, my power doesn't seem to work on him anymore" You said simply.
"Anyway, we have orders and we should follow them"
"Followings not really my style" Tony answered.
"And you're all about style aren't you?"
"Okayyy, I'm gonna leave you boys to do whatever the hell you're doing and I'm gonna rest up" You patted Tony on the shoulder and left for your room.
The walk to your room was long and you were able to think about the events that took place. Starting with the poems, the red string that connected you to Loki and then the kiss. Although it was short, you still felt the tenderness of his lips, they were soft and kind.
Once in, you sat at the edge of the bed and opened browser on your phone. You finally typed in about red string and found that it appears when soulmates are finally united. Then you realised, if you and Loki shared the same strand of red string, it meant you were...
The excruciating headaches returned and you screamed in pain. Then you heard the familiar voice call to you.
His raven hair, like midnight's cloak,
Frames a face with secrets spoke.
Fair features veiled in cunning disguise,
A master of chaos, with clever eyes.
A hue of green adorns his sly disguise,
A colour that holds secrets, worth the prize.
Like the lush grasses in a hidden grove,
Or the envy that fuels his plans, bold and rove.
The poem was longer than before and more descriptive. The headaches stopped and you heard yelling outside your door. Getting up slowly, you walked and opened it to see the guys and Nat standing there panicked.
"What's wrong?" You asked innocently.
"We heard you screaming, is everything okay agent?" Natasha asked as she checked your body like Steve had before.
"I'm fine, I just saw a spider. It's gone now though" It was the most logical answer you could come up with on the spot.
Everyone looked at you suspiciously, but all left anyway. You thought more on the new poem and you knew what the unspoken truth was. Loki was your soulmate and you are linked for eternity.

First episode of What If? hews a bit too close to the Stations of Canon. Despite some deviations in the timeline, events more or less play out roughly the same as in the First Avenger film - Sometimes in ways that seem outright confusing.
Like, Peggy's costume is explained as a USO tour outfit that was made for her. This is despite her never joining USO, nobody ever suggesting she should join USO (besides Steve as a joke), and it making very little sense to put an Englishwoman decorated in British iconography at the center of an American patriotic display.
The handling of Steve himself is something of an enigma, but more on that later.
My favorite part is when they steal the Tesseract from the Red Skull early on. So he just pivots to a completely different eldritch power. Whoops, can't make Tesseract bombers so I guess I'll summon Cthulhu. Um, okay. Apparently he had Cthulhu in his back pocket this whole time, which sure is convenient because it means the story can continue following the movie beat-for-beat anyway.
I like the idea behind Captain Carter, but I honestly don't think the showrunners knew what to do with her after that initial scene. The rest of this episode just feels like it's filling time and speedrunning the plot of the movie it's based one.
Why does Peggy pressure Howard into going into the field unarmed? That's a weird thing to do; She's very insistent that he should go get shot and die because the writer will need him there later.
The Red Skull can't use the Tesseract bombers because he doesn't have the Tesseract so now he's going to summon Cthulhu. But he needs the Tesseract to summon Cthulhu, so why not just go back to his A-plan once he steals it?
I don't know. This episode didn't click with me. It feels like an early draft that's afraid to seize its own identity and tell its own story. It feels at once like there isn't enough time for it to tell its story so it has to make rushed character choices, while overly cribbing from First Avenger's notes - But the time it does have is spent on doing random shit like Sudden Cthulhu and.
Well.
Steve.

A Heart Of Iron Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Chapter below the cut
TONY
"If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now," Loki said, looking up at the horde of superheros standing over him, their weapons drawn. His eyes locked on Tony's, setting him on edge. Loki was up to something, and it scared Tony that he couldn't figure it out.
Deciding to ignore that for now, Tony shook it off and said, "Alright, get him on his feet. We can all stand around posing up a storm later. By the way, feel free to clean up!"
"Who gets the, uh, magic wand?" Nat asked, carrying the scepter.
Steve replied, "STRIKE team's coming to secure it."
Then, an elevator opened, and the STRIKE team walked out. Sitwell walked up to Natasha, and she handed him the scepter.
"By all means," she replied, eager to get rid of it, and started to walk away.
Sitwell examined it, and started to touch the tip, when Nat called back at him, "Careful with that thing."
"Yeah, unless you want your mind erased," Clint joked, probably referencing Loki possessing him, "and not in a fun way."
"We promise to be careful," Rumlow assured.
As they gathered up the gear, Steve walked past, talking into his com, saying "On my way down to coordinate search and rescue."
Loki shape-shifted into Steve, mockingly repeating what he said while cross-eyed and doing robot arms. He then transformed back into himself, saying, "I mean, honestly, how do you keep your food down?"
Tony had to fake a cough to hide his amusement. Thor then slapped an Asgardian muzzle over Loki's mouth, saying, "Shut up."
Tony packed up the Tesseract and headed into the elevator with the rest of the Avengers. Hulk tried to join them, but it was already full.
"Hey, hey, buddy! What do you think? Maximum occupancy has been reached," Tony said.
"Take the stairs," Thor suggested.
After a bit of negotiating, everyone agreed that Tony should be the one to show Loki his cell, as he was the only one immune to Loki's mind-control.
"So, this is where you'll be staying. Toilet's over there- Wait, do Asgardians need to use the toilet? Never mind. It doesn't really matter. Bed's over there- It's more like a cot, really- sink's over there, and here's where your food will come through. Oh, and we can take off that stupid muzzle." Tony explained to Loki, who immediately tried to teleport.
"Don't bother. Thor set up some weird kind of force-field that nullifies your powers," he said.
Loki froze up, and instantly his expression became guarded.
"Thank you for showing me around, but I think I can take care of myself. You may go now," he said, his face remaining expressionless. The only sign that he wasn't as calm and collected as he acted was his hand, which was starting to fidget with the hem of his cape. Tony instantly recognized the movement as something he did when he was on the verge of a panic attack.
"Um, are you okay?" he asked hesitantly.
"Yes. I suggest you leave now. You've finished showing me around, and I'm assuming that your fellow Defenders-" Loki started to say.
"Avengers," Tony corrected before he could stop himself. Great. Based on Loki's face, he just made things even worse.
"Avengers are waiting for you. Besides, why would the great Iron Man want to be around a murderer like myself? Surely you have better things to do than make conversation with the person who just tried to invade your planet," Loki hissed, the look on his face looking more like self-hatred than anger, with his eyes starting to water.
For now, the most Tony could do was give Loki some space. He knew firsthand how it felt when someone tried to forcefully "help" you when you're in that place.
JARVIS suddenly started talking, which made both Tony and Loki jump.
"I apologize for startling you, but Dr. Banner is requesting you in the common area to go over the security camera footage," he informed Tony.
"Sorry. I gotta go, but maybe we can continue this later?" he told Loki, who's face somehow became even more expressionless.
Loki didn't respond, and, not wanting to mess things up even more, Tony left.
When he arrived at the common area, he found that Bruce had an image from the security cam footage from when Loki tried to brainwash him with the scepter pulled up on his screen with another one next to it from the camera in Loki's cell.
"Tony! Come here! Take a look at this!" Bruce said hurriedly.
"Okay? What exactly am I supposed to be seeing?" Tony asked confusedly.
"Look at his eyes!" Bruce exclaimed.
"I'm looking? I don't get it," Tony said.
"In the one from earlier, his eyes are blue, but in the one from his cell, they're green!" Bruce explained.
"So? Maybe he was using magic to change his eye color or something," Tony said, exasperated.
"Maybe, but look at this photo from when Clint was possessed," Bruce said, pulling up another image. The eye colors from the earlier Loki one and the one of Clint were the exact same.
"Holy shit! So you're thinking that Loki was possessed too?" Tony exclaimed, completely shocked.
"Language, Tony," Steve reprimanded as he walked into the room, "And what did you say about Loki being possessed?"
"Steve! Come over here! Take a look at this! His eyes were the same shade of blue as Clint's during the battle, but when he went into the cell, which nullifies all magic, by the way, they turned green!" Tony said excitedly.
Steve froze.
"Okay. Have you talked with Thor? The eye color change could've been because he was using his magic to make them blue," Steve asked.
"That's exactly what I thought, but it would be a huge coincidence for it to be the same shade," Tony explained, "JARVIS, can you call Point Break down here? We need to get to the bottom of this."

Newsflash
Pairing: Loki x FemaleTVAWorker!Reader Word Count: 1.5k T/W: just something cute A/N: finding Loki & helping him with the TVA transition
P.s. this is just for fun, I’m not trying to be technically accurate in how said abilities come about. This is just something I’m trying, we’ll see how it goes!
Ch.1 | Ch.2 | Ch.3 | Ch.4 | Ch.5
Tumblr media
The TVA was abuzz with agents running hither, thither, and yon to try and find the most recent Variant they had brought in. You’d already heard who it was and that he was giving everyone quite a time with his cooperation, or lack thereof. Walking down the dimly bright hallway, you sidestepped to avoid a team of hunters on their way to a new location. You smiled recognizing a familiar face jogging up to you.
“Have you seen him?” Mobius asked, only mildly frustrated; he never raised his voice, especially at you.
You smirked and shrugged, keeping your hands in your pockets, “I haven’t, but newsflash, I could’ve told you this was going to happen.”
“Yeah, well,” he said through gritted teeth, “it happened,” he added, stepping around you to meet up with a squad.
Despite being assigned as only an agent, you had a special gift of being able to sense what was going to happen. Of course, the TVA loved it when they felt they could use it, but they also hated it, especially when you suggested something dangerous or out of the question to the authorities, reminding you that: ‘you aren’t a Timekeeper and cannot actually see the future.’ Which was true, you had to admit it as far as you knew your predictions and information was all off feeling, but there was something to be said for your feelings never being never wrong.
Coming to the room the Variant was last seen in, you looked left and right, entering cautiously. Sure enough, you had found exactly what you expected to find, Loki, alone with the Tesseract. On the sound of you closing the door, he startled, looking up and immediately defensive. You stayed where you were, not wanting to give the impression that you were there to intimidate. Loki eyed you up and down, he had to admit you were the most beautiful being he’d seen in a long time.
“Looks like you found what you were looking for,” you nodded towards the cube at his feet.
“This- this useless,” he picked up the Tesseract and gestured it around, nonchalantly.
“Well,” you shrugged, “that depends who you ask, why you want it, and where you are, Loki. Oh, and when you are.”
He shook his head, setting the cube down again, “but here- here infinity stones are used as paperweights,” he tilted his head at you, “honestly, who are you people?”
“We’re the TVA, we-” you began, but stopped when he scoffed and combed his hands through his hair looking away. You bit the inside of your lip, wishing you could tell all, but no doubt you’d be fired for that. Approaching him, he glared at you, he was on the defense and you couldn’t blame him after what Mobius and the TVA had done in such a short time from apprehending him.
“Have you been to see a doctor?” You asked, observing some bruises and cuts across his face, not from the TVA of course, that was the Avengers’ doing, but it was worth asking.
“What? No, I am fine,” he rolled his eyes, “I don’t need one, if I could use my powers, I could fix it anyway.”
“Fix it? I thought you were fine?” you tilted your head, still standing in front of him.
He sighed, clearly exhausted, putting his head in his hands. Fingers gripping his raven hair. Approaching calmly, you sat beside him, with the Tesseract situated between the two of you. You looked at its mesmerizing blue glow, it was beautiful as they all were.
Suddenly Loki lifted his head, soft smile as he looked at you, “Madam,” he began, and you raised your eyebrows, “you seem an intellectual individual, far smarter than any of your coworkers, you are far more beautiful than any,” he took a pause, “I believe there’s been a mistake, and perhaps,” he moved closer to you, making you look down, before back up, well aware of what was happening, “perhaps you could help them to see their mistake.”
Quirking your lips, unable to deny he was very charming, you tried not to smile. Instead you put on a wince, “I’m sorry, I thought they told you,” you said very gently, making him furrow his brows, you lifted your shoulders, whispering, “magic doesn’t work here.”
“Oh for-” Loki said exasperated, “that wasn’t magic!”
“No,” you laughed, eyes crinkling with your accompanying smile, “but that was laying it on pretty thick.”
He exhaled deeply, “it wasn’t all a lie,” he admitted, perking a brow, glancing at the floor.
You stared at his neck for a moment, not in any particular manner, but another smile pulled at the corner of your lips.
“What?” Loki almost flinched as he asked upon noticing your gaze, still figuring out what the TVA’s intentions were for him kept him on edge.
“I just noticed you got the collar off,” you looked up to his eyes, gesturing to your own neck with a finger, “most people don’t even try, but it's quite easy, as you’ve found out.”
Loki straightened up, dignity returning, “well… I’m not some animal, I’m a-“
“A god, right,” you nodded, finishing his sentence. Swiftly Loki turned his head to completely face you, confusion was stricken across his expression, but then you smiled again, this time at him, were you mocking him? No, you sounded like you believed him. Why were you smiling? Your presence wasn’t like the rest of the TVA—
You leaned in closer to him, telling him in a whisper, “I never liked the collar either.”
“You- wh-,” he stuttered as you kept eye contact, clearly stuttering was not in his nature, he didn’t like being confused and scared, he didn’t like not having the upper hand, “what you weren’t ‘born behind a desk,’ bred to loyally serve the Timekeepers?”
You quietly laughed at the seriousness in which he used air quotes, shaking your head, “goodness you sound like Miss Minutes.” You met his gaze, “no,” you left it there for a while, he relaxed, dropping his hands. He was actually relieved to hear that you weren’t, and he wanted to hear more.
“Go on,” he said in almost a question, with ‘please’ attached.
Sighing, you complied to explain, “once upon a time, I got a little too interested in a Time Stone we had come in.”
“But magic doesn’t work here-“
“No, it doesn’t,” you looked over, meeting his eyes again, you enjoyed looking at them, “I took it from the TVA after they brought me in, I thought it could be my way out, but it backfired,” you quirked your lips, looking down at the ground, “too much pressure on it and. . .it shattered,” you paused blinking, “I was exposed to an energy I can’t explain and it gave me something I can’t explain, but,” you sighed, straightening up, “the TVA found me, reset the timeline, and took me back in for examination.”
“And what- now they hired you?” Loki asked, his tone wasn’t exactly soft, more shocked at their recruiting choices.
You returned to the present, coming out of your own flashback, “now,” you smiled widely, “I’m of more use to Mobius than he’ll ever admit.”
There was silence, and you let it remain, assuming Loki had a lot to process.
“Why are you telling me this?” he squinted.
“Because you have power and potential that could change history, if only you-”
With a sudden motion the door flung open, and Mobius, wary at first, made his way in. Upon seeing you, he let down his defenses.
“You found him I see,” he put his hands on his hips, a stance that almost made you laugh, at least internally, “didn’t feel the need to tell me?”
“I knew you’d get there eventually,” you nodded.
“Unbelievable, Newsflash, actually it is believable and that’s the problem-” Mobius muttered to himself as he left to inform others that Loki had been found and detained again.
“Newsflash?” Loki questioned, looking over at you, you just shrugged, “you sound like quite the handful yourself,” Loki actually smiled at you; you returned the smile, nodding to yourself.
“Look, Loki,” you started, pressing your palms together, “Mobius has a lot of faith in you, and I know you don’t believe in trust, but we’re about to trust you very much,” you saw he opened his mouth, you waited, eyebrows raised as if asking ‘yes?’ but he silently answered by shaking his head, allowing you to continue, “I know you’ve seen and been through a lot today, I won’t lie, I was confused when I came here too, but this really is bigger than anything you could imagine. We need you,” you furrowed your brows, speaking from your heart, “more than you know.”
“Well, it’s nice to be needed,” He bobbed his head with a smile spreading further on his lips. “I believe you,” he said, soft eyes suddenly looking at you, “I just can’t- believe all. . .this,” he lifted a finger and made a circle, looking around, ”not yet anyway.”
You smiled, throwing him a wink, “give it time.”

Imagine being exposed to the tesseract, and developing powers similar to Wanda’s
Tumblr media
You were just sitting in the car, Sam speeding down the freeway as suddenly you heard it.
Thud
“Are you fucking kidding me?” You questioned, as you looked to Natasha, who already had her gun pulled, “And to think I thought this was just going a beautiful Sunday drive.”
“You should already know that those don’t exist when you are in SHIELD.” Natasha replied
“Just like I should be fine with being chased by a ghost?” You replied, as Steve added, “I hate to interrupt, but we need to leave now!”
As he said it you looked to the windshield where you saw a man in black holding a rocket launcher, his hair was long and chocolate, his face covered by smudged black makeup, and a mask which hid his nose and mouth, his body suit mostly black, except for a metal arm, which shone in the sunlight. The launcher was pointed right at Sam’s car, and just as he pulled the trigger you clapped your hands together, and separated them, before all of you hit the pavement behind the ghost trying to murder you. As you did, you heard the loud whistle of the launcher, and watched the empty car explode. As you did Sam looked at you, “What the Fuck was that?”
“You’ll get used to it.” Steve replied as the assassin slowly turned, and looked at all of you with his dark blue irises, which flared at the four of you with hatred.
“It is truly fascinating.” Howard muttered as you and Peggy sat beside him, all eyes however was on the blue cube before you
“Is there anyway that we can research it more however before we just start testing it?” Peggy replied as you looked to her, “Peg, think of the possibilities though, think of the advantage we could have with this.”
As you spoke however you went to pick it up, your bare hand touching the smooth exterior as the glow grew, as it responded to your touch however you felt the way of energy radiate off of it, and watched as Peggy and Howard fell to the ground several feet away, as your eyes glowed with a baby blue light, before you noticed that an energy now coursed through your own body.
Howard quickly got back up, and grabbed a rag, before wrapping the tesseract within the rag, and locked it into a safe, but the damage was already done, as he worked Peggy looked to you, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” You spoke, as you looked to your hand, that was now manifesting a blue ball of energy.
After that day Howard and Peggy spent every moment trying to figure out what the Tesseract had done to you. It started as simple changes, they noticed that you could manifest and manipulate energy around you, you could teleport (which you did often to scare them), along with teleport others, you could create force fields, you were able to levitate and you were able to create beams of energy that you could use as weapons. However soon you noticed as well that you had stopped aging, and no longer got sick. There were also strong signs that proved that your cells were rapidly regenerating, which made it so that your injuries quickly healed. Your powers bestowed to you by the tesseract were both a blessing, and a curse, as you watched your two best friends age before your eyes. However there was always Fury, who reminded you often that you were gifted this great power to make the world a better place, and soon he would show you the greatest blessing you had ever received to date.
“[Y/N], please come to my office.” He asked over the intercom as you jokingly groaned to Clint and Natasha, “Why me?”
“Oh you secretly love when Fury calls you.” Clint replied as Natasha added, “Yeah, but that is just because he usually offers her a drink.”
“I can’t get drunk though, thanks to the regeneration.” You exhaled, as you clapped your hands together, and looked at Fury from his couch, “This better be good.”
“Fucking hell [Y/N], I told you to stop that!” He was surprised as you cracked a smile and replied, “And I told you to stop making Hill work on Saturdays, which you haven’t.”
“We found him.” He stated, your heart stopping for a moment, as you looked to him, “Who?”
“We found Steve.” He replied, as your heart rate quickened, “Where is he?”
The knife came wizzing past Steve’s head as he dodged the blade, his back bending as you sent a ball of energy at the knife, and knocked it back to the thrower who caught it with ease. Your hand manifesting another one as the threat threw it again, this time aiming for you. As you ducked you sent a beam of light towards him, and hit his left leg slightly, causing him to buckle slightly to the ground. As he did, Steve took the opportunity to hit him in the chest, his body flying into a van as his mask clattered against the pavement. Before he could stand you clapped your hand and teleported him to the middle of the street, his body landing stomach down, and far from his fallen gun and knife. However as he stood, both you and Steve prepared for the next attack, your hands glowing baby blue, as Steve held his shield. However at the sight of his face, you both slowly lowered your defenses as Steve whispered, “Bucky.”
“Who the hell is Bucky?“ He snapped, as he advanced towards you both, however you quickly clapped your hands and teleported Steve and you out of there, and back to the bunker where Fury was, his eyes wide as he snapped, “Damn it [Y/N], warn me next time you are coming, I could have been naked or some shit…”
“Bucky is alive.” You whispered, cutting him off as he looked to you, and raised an eyebrow
“You mind repeating that?”
“James Buchanan Barnes is alive sir, and I think Hydra is using him as a weapon. His target, Steve and I.”
That night, you decided to stay in the small room you had claimed as your own, as Steve sat with Hill and Fury. As Natasha and Sam slowly filed in, Natasha snapped, “I swear that girl is always leaving us behind, where is she so I can…”
“Leave her be, she isn’t in any condition to have someone blaming her right now.”
“And why is that?” Natasha replied, “It’s not like she can get hurt, or break anything.”
“We identified the myth, his name is James Buchanan Barnes, back in the day he was a sergeant in the 107th, and a member of the Howling Commanders. However he died… or so we thought.”
“So why would the identity of this man spook her into abandoning the field?” Sam replied as Steve looked at him with glassy eyes.
“He was my best friend” Steve sighed as he looked to the table, “She used to follow me and him around, claiming she was keeping us out of trouble, and that’s why when he originally enlisted and she found out I was also going, she demanded to go to. That’s when Howard Stark offered her a position as a scientist, stating that he knew what it felt like to want to protect your family, especially when she was all I had left.”
“Wait, just how old is she?” Sam asked, “She looks like she is no older than 30?”
“Don’t tell her I told you, but she was born in 1925, meaning she is 89.”
“How the hell than….”
“She was exposed to a artifact that she was trying to research with Howard and Peggy, that’s why she can manipulate stuff.”
“You said she was all the family you had left?” Natasha asked as he looked back to the table with a smile, “She never told you did she?”
“No… there’s a lot of things she hasn’t shared about her past. And her files….”
“Are sealed, due to the request of both her, Agent Carter, and Howard Stark.”
“She is my little sister.” Steve replied
“Well I guess that explains why she never goes by her last name either.” Natasha replied as Steve chuckled, “Oh her last name isn’t Rogers, it hasn’t been since 1943.”
“What is it then?” Sam asked as Steve looked at Fury who whispered, “Might as well tell them.”
“Her full name is [Y/F/N] [Y/M/N] Barnes.”
“Meaning…” Natasha started however Steve cut her off, “Meaning that she just saw her husband for the first time in over 71 years, and he is trying to kill Director Fury, and in turn trying to kill his best friend and his wife. Hence why your direct orders are to leave her alone.”

Minor theory: Henrik, Marvin (and maybe Jackie) are known by I.R.I.S. in some way
Okay, it’s late and I want to get this down. Maybe I’ll try to build on in later, but here me out. And there’s a reason why I say “maybe” on Jackie.
Back when, after CHASE had been released, not long after we got something at the end of a video. It was a snippet of Henrik in front of computer screens. He was writing down/creating/solving various problems. Problems that involved division by infinity. Now, back then, we had just gotten movies involved with travel by quantum - specifically time travel. And from what it was known at the time, quantum time travel involves division by infinity. Back then, we were figuring that maybe he was trying to go back in time to fix something - perhaps trying to save c!Jack?
However, with recent events we are informed of a “time thief” - ALTR 5914. If we go like it has been for Anti (ALTR 114209), the numbers represent letters. And someone actually translated it out. ALTR 5-9-14 ALTR E-I-N For anyone who knows German, Ein is “one.” But why would they use German? Perhaps someone German was involved in finding this ALTR? Or, maybe, the ALTR themselves are German.
Only time (pardon the pun) will tell.
That said, this leads to Marvin’s involvement or acknowledgement.
From what we know, something happened with Marvin and his group in which something was released. Something not good (perhaps Anti?). If we were to go based off of a little bit of Turquoise’s lore, (which some of Marvin seems to be based from especially via the Argentum video) Marvin was promptly either removed from his place of power or completely removed from the group. That said, it wasn’t without waves having been made already.
But why would I mention this?
During the stream where we were solving puzzles, we had to try and solve a few passcodes to get into the next video. One of the passcodes we gave was a very familiar reference.
Magicircle
If we are to remember correctly, Magic Circle is the name of the group that Marvin at least was a part of - not quite sure if he still is or not. Perhaps we’ll see. But that said we now know that I.R.I.S. does know of the Magic Circle, and potentially of Marvin.
And once again, going back to the name of the time thief, someone brought up that potentially this was a case where they went backwards with the alphabet? ALTR 5-9-14 ALTR V-R-M
MRV or Marv backwards? Who knows. A stretch, potentially, but not entirely out of the thought process. That said, we also saw Marvin’s mask in the break room at one point so... That’s something?
As far as Jackie... We haven’t heard or seen much from him in a long while - but we still know that Jack absolutely loves the hero. He wants to make sure that everything with him is perfect before putting a new video out there for him. That’s completely understandable.
That said, we weren’t without little easter egg sort of treats in the puzzle areas. In another version of the break room beside Marvin’s Mask, Jackie’s mask was seen. (At least it was believed to be his mask - the crunchiness of the video quality made it hard to tell if it was a mask or a bowtie.) In another room - the monitor room - there was a JBM comic. Perhaps this is a case of fiction mimicking reality and Jackie is a real person in the world of I.R.I.S. With JBM, we don’t know.
Then there was what among some was called the “tesseract room” - or for those who don’t get it, think the room where Steve became Captain America. Why would something like that be there? What would they have to gain from having a room like that other than to create something? Perhaps a hero? We don’t know. (I remember us also being shocked/surprised/confused at during the defunct time when there was a person on the catwalk above the area.) There’s also some thoughts on “Echo” here, but as I said, it’s late and I just wanted to make sure I at least got these theory thoughts out there as far as potential connections to I.R.I.S. Also, we need to remember that Anomaly Found was more of Chase’s story after CHASE so we need to remember a big light is still on our trick shooter and there needs to be more focus on him right now.

Far From Home (Chapter 19: The Attack)
Loki x Reader
Y/n Y/l/n never thought her past would come back to find her. After all who would look for her on Midgard? But one day in the small town of Puento Antiguo her world is turned upside down when an old friend turns up, threatening everything she has built and the people she’d fought so hard to protect. What happens when the life she left behind finally catches up with her? What happens when the old flame she thought had burned out reignites within her?
Warnings: language (sorry, Steve), eventual smut (slow burn), angst, some mentions of torture (most things won’t be detailed but anything that gets a bit more specific will be warned at the beginning of the chapter)

The next 20 minutes seemed to pass by agonizingly slow as we waited for any news from Nat. Maria was looking at a screen as a virus had been detected within our servers and Fury left the room, suspecting Stark was the cause. Suddenly our comms crackled to life and Nat’s voice sounded through them.
“Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab. I’m on my way. Send Thor and Y/n as well.”
Thor and I left the room, meeting up with Nat along the way as we headed toward the lab.
“I was wrong, director. The world hasn’t changed a bit,” Steve said as we entered the room. A strange weapon sat on a counter near Steve as Stark stared at a screen. Phase Two stared back at me from the screen as Banner turned to Nat.
“Did you know about this?” he asked her, though she didn’t answer him.
“You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?” she asked, softly.
“I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed,” he spat.
“Loki is manipulating you.”
“And you’ve been doing what exactly?”
“You didn’t come here because I bat my eyelashes at you.”
“Yes, and I’m not leaving because you suddenly get a little twitchy. I’d like to know why SHIELD is using the tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.”
“Because of them. Him more than her,” Fury hissed, pointing at Thor.
“I suggest you choose your next words carefully,” I spat, moving next to Thor, as Fury continued.
“You lived on Earth for a long time without any problems.”
“I wouldn’t go that far,” I hissed. “You seem to forget the part where I was tortured.”
“I meant post-Hydra,” he retorted. “You lived in peace for years and suddenly he turned up last year, bringing a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned.”
“My people want nothing but peace with your planet,” Thor interrupted.
“But you’re not the only people out there, are you? And you’re not the only threat. The world’s filling up with people who can’t be matched, that can’t be controlled.”
“Like you controlled the cube?” Steve interrupted.
“Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it… and his allies. It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war.” Thor argued.
“You forced our hand. We had to come up with something.”
“How exactly did we force your hand?” I hissed, growing annoyed with his accusatory tone regarding Thor.
“This doesn’t concern you, Agent Y/l/n.”
“No? You sure about that? You’re attacking my brother for something that isn’t his fault! No one saw what Loki did coming! If I would’ve seen it coming I would’ve returned to Asgard 20 years ago! Besides, when has a nuclear deterrent ever solved anything?”
“She’s right. They always calm everything right down,” Stark retorted sarcastically. I tuned out as they began arguing. Something felt off and I couldn’t place what it was. Something was shifting in the air, pulling my attention elsewhere. I couldn’t place exactly what it was that changed but something felt off and it sent a shiver running down my spine.
“The cell was just in case-.”
“In case you needed to kill me but you can’t. I know. I’ve tried,” Bruce spat, pulling me from the strange premonition coursing through me.
“Bruce…”
“I got low. I didn’t see an end so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out. So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good… until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk,” he spat, moving back slowly, his hand finding Loki’s scepter. “You want to know my secret, Agent Romanoff. You want to know how I stay calm?” he hissed, lifting the scepter from its place, his knuckles turning white from the grip. Thor’s fist clenched and Fury and Natasha’s hands instinctively went for their guns.
“Dr. Banner… put down the scepter,” Steve said. I watched as Bruce looked down, seeming confused by Steve’s words. His eyes locked on the scepter and he quickly put it down as the computers across the room beeped, seeming as if he didn’t even realize he was holding it. I breathed a sigh of relief as he made his way over to the computers. Stark and Rogers began arguing as Bruce took off his glasses, seeming confused by what he was seeing.
“Oh my god,” he whispered. I began walking toward the computers before a blast was sent through the lab, knocking all of us off our feet and sending us flying.
****
Smoke swirled in the air, filling my lungs as debris settled around me. I didn’t know where I had landed and I was growing increasingly aware that I could no longer feel my legs. I looked down, noticing a large piece of metal laying across my waist, blood dripping from somewhere underneath.
“Hill!” Fury called through comms.
“External detonation! Number three engine is down!” she called back. “Somebody’s gotta get outside and patch that engine,” she added after a few seconds of silence.
“Stark, you copy that?” Fury asked.
“I’m on it!” Stark replied. I struggled to pull myself out from the large chunk of metal but the structure was far too heavy, holding me in place under its weight. The more I tried to move the less my body responded. My arms were held in place at my sides, though nothing was holding them there. I simply couldn’t move.
“Coulson, initiate defensive lockdown in the detention section, then get to the armory!”
My heart began to race at the thought of Loki escaping and I struggled to free my legs from under the metal.
“Romanoff? Y/l/n?”
“We’re okay,” Nat called. I opened my mouth to speak but no words left my lips.
“Agent Y/l/n, report in!” Fury called as I struggled to make a sound.
“I-I’m ok,” I croaked, my voice coming out hoarse and strange.
“Y/l/n, where are you?” Fury asked frantically. “Y/n?”
It was rare for Fury to use first names and I tried to answer him, not wanting to worry anyone but it was getting harder to make noise as dark spots clouded the edge of my vision.
“Y/n, I’m sending someone to come get you but I need you to tell me where you are!”
“I was blasted j-just below the lab,” I gasped as my breathing became shallow.
“I’m sending someone to find you! Just hang tight, Y/n.”
Yeah, hang tight, I thought to myself as the dark spots began spreading. It’s not like I’m going anywhere.
“Y/n!” a familiar voice called to me and the pressure on my legs was released, followed quickly by a rush of pain as the blood tried to flow through my legs once more.
“Agent Y/l/n!” another voice called. “Thor, is she alright?”
“I’m not sure. Her legs appear to be broken.”
“Agent Y/l/n,” the man called again. I recognized him from a previous mission but we’d never spoken outside of work. A hand grasped mine as the man flashed a light in my eyes. I tried to answer him but the effort it took to speak seemed far too great for me to handle. My lips refused to form the words and my throat tightened.
“Stay with me, Y/n. It’s going to be fine. You’re going to be fine.”
I could hear loud crashing sounds from somewhere nearby as the man began holding pressure to the wound on my waist where the metal had dug into the skin. A growl rumbled through the air and I knew Bruce had turned. I tried to push myself up but Thor gently pushed me down.
“Y/n, you’ve lost a lot of blood and your legs may be broken. You can’t move.”
“Th-Thor… Nat was standing by Bruce when the blast hit. You need to make sure she’s nowhere near Banner!”
“But, Y/n, you’re hurt!”
“I’ll be fine! I’m in good hands.”
“Plus, she’s Asgardian, right? Her wounds should heal faster than a human’s would.”
Thor sighed before gently touching my shoulder, hesitant to leave, but one final push from me and he left, hammer gripped tightly in hand as he prepared to fight Banner.
“L-Loki?” I murmured softly as the Asgardian’s face filled my mind, the blue eyes of the agent reminding me of the color of Loki’s eyes just hours before.
“He’s waiting for us, ma’am. He needs to heal your legs before you bleed out.”
“But I’m Asgardian… you said so yourself,” I said softly. “That’s how you knew,” I whispered as the realization hit me. Loki had sent this man to come find me.
“Yes, ma’am, but your injuries are quite extensive. You’d bleed out before your body had time to heal. We need to get you to Loki.”
He placed an arm beneath my legs, the other under my back, lifting me off the ground and I didn’t have the energy to fight him. My vision grew darker as he carried me through the helicarrier, further from SHIELD and toward Loki.

Ooh I got something for you
The reader is also a variant and they run into each other as Loki tries to escape. Reader is an empath and can sense Lokis emotions (its not magic, its genetic so it still works)
A/N: This got away from me. I may have really overdone it this time.
Cosmic Mistakes - Loki x Reader
Tumblr media
...
“I’m... scared.”
“Don’t worry,” said the guard, though you didn’t find it particularly comforting. “It’ll all be over soon.”
You swallowed, glancing down at the shackles around your wrists.
No one was coming to save you. You hadn't had many friends in life - you didn't have any here, either.
And there was something in this place overwhelming your powers, some profound grief that you felt wholly unequipped to handle. As an empath, you’d experienced many emotions in your lifetime - but never, ever as strong as these.
They were powerful. Strong. You wondered how the individual who felt them could stand, much less survive.
“I sentence you to pruning,” said the Judge, waving her hand in the guards’ direction. “...Guards?”
You held your breath and prepared for the worst.
Until...
A dark-haired man shoved you out of the way, tugging you behind him as you ran through the Time Variance Authority.
“Hey!” you shouted, attempting to regain your breath. “What the hell was that for?”
“I saved you,” the dark-haired man stated, indignantly. “Don’t you understand what they do in that place? They were going to evaporate you!”
“...Oh,” you trailed off, twiddling your thumbs. “Oh, well.. I hadn’t thought it through.”
“Yes, well, I suppose you hadn’t thought much at all,” he snapped, straightening the outfit he wore, identical to yours. You placed a hand on his face, tucking a lock of black hair behind his ear.
Suddenly, it flowed through you - that feeling, again. Pain.
So much pain.
You gasped as if you’d been burned, withdrawing your hand. He stared at you.
“...What?”
“N-nothing,” you stammered. “What’s your name?”
“Loki,” he said. “Of Asgard - wait, you truly don’t know who I am?”
“Really,” you admitted. He contemplated this.
“What’s yours?”
“Y/N L/N.”
Loki nodded, thoughtfully.
“All-right, Y/N, well... it was nice meeting you, but I think I’ve done my good deed for the day. Besides... I have an infinity stone to recover.”
“Let me come with you,” you burst out, unsure where your own words had come from. “Please.”
Loki stared at you, blankly.
“Yes, well... alright, but we have to be fast, understand?”
You nodded, and he grabbed your hand, dragging yourself through the halls of the TVA and, finally, into a small office.
“Loki, what’re you going to-”
“I’m going to get what I’m owed,” he muttered, shoving a secretary behind a desk.
“What’s your name?”
“...Casey.”
“Give me the tesseract, or I’ll gut you like a fish, Casey.”
Casey winced, and you could feel his fear - mixed with confusion.
“...What’s a fish?”
“How do you not know what a fish is?”
“I've lived my entire life behind a desk.”
“Well, what difference does it make?”
“I wanna know exactly what I'm being threatened with before I comply.”
“Death, Casey. Violent, painful death.”
You winced, and Loki glanced at you.
“Okay, okay. I comply, I comply...” Casey reached into a drawer. “...This it?”
“Infinity Stones?” asked Loki, studying the contents of the drawer.  “How... how do you have these?”
“Oh, we actually get a lot of those. Yeah. Some of the guys use them as paperweights.”
Loki gasped, softly, looking around you.
“Is this the greatest power in the universe?”
“Loki,” you said, quietly but urgently, shaking him, “Remember, we’ve got to go, we can’t stand around, they’ll evaporate us-”
“Change of plans,” said Loki, briskly, “We’re going to stay.”
“What?”
“Or, at least, I will be staying - they might still evaporate you. Sorry.”
You could have killed him.
“Loki, you have to help me,” you said, a hint of desperation in your voice. “Come on, you can’t leave me here-”
“Uh, why not?”
“Because... because we could work really well together! I helped you get the Tesseract, didn’t I?”
Loki thought it through, and you could feel his emotions go from apprehensive and fearful, to something resembling... sympathy?
“Well... I suppose that’s true,” he huffed. “I’ll talk to them. Perhaps a deal can be worked out for you.”
You grinned, and he glared.
“Don’t think anything of it,” he warned. “I mean it.”
You nodded, trying to keep blush from tinging your cheeks.
“Sure. Absolutely.”

‘Can you breathe any louder?’ Loki asked you irritatingly. Like your punishment couldn’t get any worse, you had to share a cell with the God of Mischief and Lies. The only upside was his mother, making sure he had plenty of books, a comfy chair, and a table. She even got him a bed, even tough it was one bed. Even her influence was limited, but you were more than grateful for these extra’s in your shared cell. Of course, Loki wouldn’t let you sleep in the bed. No, you should be happy he was not making you sleep on the floor. He gave you the chair to sleep in instead, bastard.
‘What was that, dear?’ you asked innocently. You knew how annoyed he would get when you called him by a nickname. Loki certainly was a dominant man, and nicknames was not something he accepted. You smirked when he didn’t answer you, he just grumbled at the name you gave him. You grabbed one of his books and began to read it. You were halfway the first chapter when you hear an annoying voice say ‘Who told you that you could grab my things?’
‘Come on, I’m bored out of my mind. It’s not like you need all these books at the same time’ you argued back. Loki, who was sitting on the floor against the wall, got up and strut towards you. He slapped the book out of your hands. The book went flying against the wall, the barrier burned it a bit. It made a hard sound when it hit the floor. ‘Those are MINE’ he growled. He didn’t move from his position, trying to dominate you with his stance. You were still sitting on the floor on the opposite side from where he sat. You weren’t having this. You looked him straight in his eyes ‘The fact that I’m stuck in here is also YOURS’ you said back.
Loki gave you a mean glare but returned to his original position, sitting across the ground on the other side of the cell. You had to admit, it wasn’t entirely his fault that the two of you were stuck in this cell. You had to steal the Tesseract from Odin’s fault, and it took a long time planning the heist too. Everything was in place, until he had to ruin it, of course. You knew he was planning on taking the Tesseract himself, some people close to him told you. But the idiot hadn’t taking into account the new alarm system. So, when he set it off the guards were gathering around you. They saw you holding the Tesseract and Loki standing right behind you. Your explanation to the Allfather didn’t matter, what you did was wrong and both of you needed to be punished.
You could handle the imprisonment, it wasn’t the first time you were. But imprisonment with him was. And you knew he hated it as much as you. You were convinced the only reason Odin put you in a cell together, was to add a sting to Loki’s sentence. You looked around the prison, your cell was the only on with furniture and books, thanks to Frigga. How the other prisoners coped, you did not know. You turned your attention back to Loki. He licked the tip of his index finger and turned a page. You got up and sat in the chair, also known as your bed.
‘Loki, I’m bored’ you whined to him. ‘That is not my problem, tell someone who cares’ he replied. ‘You are the only one here’ you sighed. ‘How lucky are you’ he said sarcastically. ‘What, if you weren’t there I wouldn’t be caught. Unlike you, I had an escape plan´ you argued. Loki just smirked ‘What was your escape plan on Jotunheim?’ he asked. The remark gave you flashbacks to the time you tried to steal the source of powers from the Frost Giants. But Loki interrupted you suddenly, because he was there with Thor and the Warrior Three on a different quest. You hadn’t had an escape plan and spend the next six months in this prison. After that you ran into him in a sleezy bar far away from Asgard, right before he tried to take over Midgard. You should have known he faked his death. Even tough you hated him, you had to admit he didn’t look like himself. He looked awful.
When you heard the Tesseract was on Midgard, you went yourself. When you saw him on Midgard he looked even more terrible. His hair was a mess, he had dark circles under his eyes and was walking with a limp. Something that was weir, considering he healed fast. But you didn’t care, you had a mission the finish. If you didn’t you would pay for it with your life. It was annoying that Loki himself wanted the same thing you were after. You felt Loki trying to invade your mind. ‘Stop it’ you yelled. Hoping that he would, because you didn’t know how to stop this kind of attack. Loki just smirked and returned to his book.
Your favourite guard brought the two of you your lunch. ‘Thank you, Baldar’ you said when he opened a small part of the barrier and slide two meals inside. ‘My pleasure’ Balder replied politely. You saw Loki role his eyes at the interaction, but he didn’t say anything, You grabbed your tray and began to eat the meal, it tasted terrible. ‘How is it?’ Loki asked. ‘What do you think?’’ you replied. Loki got up, grabbed his tray, and tasted it You smiled when you saw his face scrunch. ‘I may have found something more terrible than you’ he said while scrunching his face.
The rest of the midday, you two didn’t speak to each other. You grabbed another book and luckily Loki didn’t smash it from you. The lights were going off and you realised was night-time. You had enough of the chair you were sleeping in and decided to lay down on the bed. ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ Loki asked, when he saw you laying down in his bed. ‘I’m going to sleep you answered while pulling the blankets closer to your chest. Loki must have been tired because he didn’t argue with you. He just sighed and walked towards the bed.
He laid beside you. Just before you drifted to sleep, he grabbed your throat. ‘What game are you playing?’ he asked. You tried to not be intimidated ‘Look, I needed the Tesseract, I wasn’t planning to use it for my own. But even if I do get out now, I’m in trouble’ you finally snapped. You had no interest in telling him your problems, but knew that lying to him was pointless. Loki didn’t say anything for a long time. He let go of your throat and laid back down facing you. ‘What if I’m in that predicament too?’ he asked you. You didn’t know how to respond to that. Loki could never know that you encountered Thanos and that he expected you to deliver the Tesseract. He didn’t have to know what you went trough, it was too painful to think about. You didn’t know what situation Loki got himself into, but you couldn’t let him best you anymore. Thanos’ patience had run out and you were in serious trouble. ‘Trust me, it’s not the same’ you replied. You closed your eyes and turned around.
It was the middle of the night when you woke from a loud explosion. ‘What is happening?’ you asked. You looked around your cell and saw another cell with its barrier breached. A prisoner was freeing some of the other inmates from different cells. This was your chance! Before you moved you felt one of Loki’s arms retracting from your sides. ‘Well, good luck to you, daring’ he purred. Was he just cuddling you? You decided not to dwell on it. You grumbled at him, you hated when he called you by a nickname, and you knew he knew that. The prison was now absolute in chaos. Guards were running around, and more and more barriers were breached. It didn’t take long before the barrier of your cell was broken. Loki and you exchanged a look before running in the opposite way from each other.
The chaos was your moment of opportunity. You ran towards the vault, there were only two guards guarding the door. You took them both out quickly and entered the vault. You ran to the end of the hall. There you saw it, the emulating light blue cube that you needed to escape whatever death Thanos had in store for you. You picked up the Tesseract when you heard a voice behind you ‘I wouldn’t do that if I were you’.
‘You have no idea what you’re talking about. Just leave me alone’ you said.
‘If you bring him that he is just going to send you to get another stone. If you fail him you die, if you don’t and he succeeds that chance of you dying is about 50 percent’ Loki told you.
You just stared at Loki with wide eyes. ‘How do you know that?’ you asked. He took a few steps towards you, standing very close before you. ‘I’ve been doing everything in my power to stop Thanos, you on the other hand have not been making that task easy’ he growled.
‘How do you know about him?’ you yelled.
‘There was a time he thought I was working for him. I know more about him than you might think’ he answered.
‘Then you know I have no choice, I’ll be dead if I don’t do this’
‘I didn’t do it and I’m still alive’ he quipped back.
‘Unlike you I don’t have magic to help me’ you took a step back and turned around. Ready to teleport with the Tesseract out of the vault. Loki grabbed your wrist and spun you back around. ‘You have me’ he said.
‘What?’ you asked absolutely stunned. ‘There’s always a choice, darling. You have three options. One, you give him the stone and probably die serving him the rest of your life. Two, you hide on your own, but he surely finds you and you die anyway. And don’t for a second think it would be quick and painless. We both know Thanos doesn’t do that.’ Tears were starting to form in your eyes, thinking back to all the torture you had been put trough. You noticed the look in Loki’s eyes, you saw something vulnerable in them. ‘What is the third one?’ you asked. ‘You come with me, I’ll keep you safe. And we think of a plan to stop him’ he gave you a genuine smile.
‘You hate me, why would you do that?’ you asked.
‘Just because we’re enemies doesn’t mean I hate you. We both did what needed to be done to survive. But, you have 10 seconds to decide before an army of guards burst through those doors’
For a few seconds you looked at him and thought over your options. Did you really have a choice? you thought. ‘Fine, I’ll go with you’ you said before your time was up. Loki engulfed you in a hug and a green shimmer formed around you. You started to feel dizzy and closed your eyes, leaning on Loki. You heard him chuckle. ‘As much as I enjoy this, you can open your eyes and let go now’ he said. You did as he said and found yourself standing in the middle of a cottage. ‘Where are we?’ you asked. ‘My safehouse somewhere in the woods on Midgard. You can relax, Thanos won’t find you here. I put up shields, nobody knows we’re here’ he answered.
You moved around the cottage. It was slightly bigger than the cell you just escaped from. There was a fire burning in the hearth, with in front of it a very comfy looking couch. There was a big bookcase with a desk and a comfortable lounge chair. The kitchen was small, but all the essentials were there. There was one door which led to the bathroom, with only a shower, sink, and a toilet. When you closed the door and stood in the main room you noticed that there was one large bed. You glared at Loki ‘I’m not sleeping in a chair again’ you said. Loki laughed ‘The bed is big enough for two, I think you’ll be fine’
‘One thing, I need you to hand me the Tesseract. My shiels may hide us, but they can still sense it is here’
You doubted giving him the cube. He saw the doubt in your eyes. ‘I made a promise to keep you safe, all you need to do is trust me’ he added.
‘Would you trust you?’ you asked.
‘Probably not, but I need you to’ he said back.
You took a deep breath and gave him the Tesseract. What choice did you have anyway? A green shimmer started to shine over the cube, and it slowly disappeared in his hands. He gave you a reassuring smile. Despite the fire burning you felt a little cold. ‘I’m going back to bed’ you said. Loki nodded, followed you and laid down next to you. Even tough the bed had room for four people in it, Loki laid close enough for you to feel his warmth. The orange light of the fire was dancing over his face, and you noticed that Loki was quite an attractive man. The only thing you wanted to do that moment was cuddle closer, lay on his chest and fall asleep while he was holding you close to him. You were wondering what sparked these feelings. You never thought about him that way. But then again, this was the first time you felt safe in a very long time. He made you feel safe.
‘See something you like?’ Loki smirked. That was when you realized that you were staring a bit too long at him. You felt yourself starting to blush. You wanted to turn around, but Loki put a hand on your shoulder to stop you. He moved closer to you and you froze, not knowing how to react. He didn’t stop until his lips almost touched yours. He looked in your eyes intently, waiting for you to make a move. You shut your eyes and closed the distance between the two of you. His lips started to move softly against yours. The way his lips felt on yours, you needed more, more of him. You put a hand on his neck and deepened the kiss. Loki eagerly returned your affection by sliding his tongue in your mouth. His hand trailed from your shoulder to your lower back. He pulled you closer to him. You put a hand under his t-shirt, starting to explore his chest and abbs. Loki started to kiss down your neck and you felt him smile against your skin.
He stopped to crawl on top of you and removed his shirt. You couldn’t keep his hands off him. He ducked back down to kiss you. He starting to kiss you deeper and faster. Your hands started to stroke his back and you opened your legs to pull him closer. He moaned into your mouth. It spurred you on to undo the button of his pants. ‘Eager, aren’t you?’ Loki smirked at you. You stayed silence and pulled his pants from his bottom. He helped you by taking them off completely. You tried to pull him down to kiss you, but he grabbed your hands and put them down beside your head. ‘Now, I don’t think this is quite fair’ he said. ‘Well, I always was a few steps ahead of you’ you smirked. Loki let out a low growl. He found the clasp of your dress and unlocked it, immediately pulling the fabric from your body. You laid beneath him, in your lingerie. ‘If I knew you were this underneath your clothes, I would have done this much sooner’ he whispered to you.
He started to kiss you, while his hands were roaming your body. You did the same and couldn’t help but land your hands on his butt. You give him a light squeeze, making Loki moan hard. You really liked this side of him. He undid your bra and hooked his fingers on the side of your thong. ‘Wait’ you said. Loki immediately froze and looked at you questionably. ‘What’s wrong?’ he asked. You felt a little bad, seeing the worry in his eyes. ‘Nothing, I just want you to undress first’ you smirked at him. Luckily, your comment put the twinkle back in his eyes. ‘Have you earned that?’ he challenged you. ‘I’ve bested you in most situations, so yeah, I’ve earned it’ you grinned widely at him. He just chuckled ‘I will let you think that, but you still haven’t earned it, darling’ he said. He pulled your thong down and you were now completely naked underneath him.
‘You look absolutely beautiful’ he sighed while kissing your stomach, trailing downwards. You thought he was going for your clit, but instead he just resumes kissing you. His lips went to your hips and your upper thigh, down towards your knees. He trailed back upwards, but still was avoiding the place you needed him the most. ‘Loki’ you panted. ‘Hmm, say that again’ he hummed. His lips trailed further upwards until he reached your neck. ‘Loki, please’ you panted again. You felt him hum again, and he sunk his teeth in your neck. You hissed from the sudden action, he didn’t bite down hard, it was enough for you to feel alive but not hard enough to actually pierce your skin. ‘If you want something, all you got to do is ask’ he purred. ‘You really think you got the upper hand here, do you?’ you asked. Loki didn’t have to answer you, his face said it all. He did.
That’s when you bucked your hips and rolled against his. You felt his erection clearly through his fabric. Your wetness left a small stain on his boxers, only adding friction to your movement. Loki let out a silent moan. He replicates the movement and didn’t stop. The fabric of his boxers between the two of you felt thicker each time he slid it against your core. Loki let out a hard growl ‘Fuck it’ he said. You were a bit shocked, you never heard Loki curse before, he always kept his composure. He leaned back a bit and undid himself of his boxer. He laid back down on top of you, putting more weight on you than before. ‘Normally I would play with you for hours, but right now I need you’ he whispered in your ear. Without any hesitation you opened your legs more and felt Loki enter you. He certainly was bigger than you first anticipated. He filled you up like you never had before. You felt every movement he made, every vein on his cock and it felt like Valhalla itself. Loki, who was thrusting slowly in and almost out of you, picked up the pace. The length of his erection reached all the way to your G-spot. The way he hit that sensitive spot inside of you made squeeze around his cock. He started to moan, grunt and curse under his breath.
He didn’t slow down. The way he fucked you could only be described as animalistic. Like he was denied his release for so long, he couldn’t hold back anymore. You put your hands in his hair and pulled him down for a kiss. He started to kiss you like he was fucking you. Leaving fast and open mouth kisses on your mouth, your cheek, and your neck. His put a leg over his shoulder and you felt his fingertips grab you hips tighter. You knew for sure his kisses and hands would leave you bruised the next morning. But you didn’t mind that people could see you were his, you knew he was doing this for that reason on purpose. ‘I’m close’ Loki panted. He put one of his fingers on your clit, drawing circles on it with much pressure. The only thing you could do was moan his name. You moaned it over and over again. Loki grabbed your chin and kissed you. He broke the kiss to let out a loud grunt. Your orgasm hit you hard and you felt his seed spill inside of you.
Loki pumped in and out of you a few more times, before he collapsed on his back beside you.
‘That was amazing’
he panted. You were out of breath and the only thing you did was hum in agreement. After Loki had cleaned himself up, you went into the bathroom to do the same. When you walked back to the bed you saw Loki almost drifting to sleep. He looked innocent and pure in that moment. You crawled into the bed and he immediately grabbed you and pulled you close to him.
‘I’m never letting you go’
he whispered to you.
‘You better not’
you quipped back. He nuzzled his face further in the crook of your neck. His arms tightened around you. For the first time you felt safe, peaceful, and relaxed. The problems the two of you were facing would come tomorrow, but right now, everything was perfect.

Making Time
Mobius M Mobius x Reader
Part 1
My Masterlist • Series Masterlist
A/N: Not sure if many people want this but I like the idea of working for the TVA & Mobius is kinda funny and charming. I really hope I don’t start to regret this once the rest of Loki comes out
Tumblr media
Whilst all the desks at the TVA were practically identical in the impersonal corporate sense, Mobius’s desk was a lot nicer than yours. Having been at the TVA for longer than you, he’d gotten everything sorted into a comfortable space, whereas your desk was scattered with papers and mugs you’d always forgotten about. There’s a incessant knocking against wood nearby. Your head perks up from where you’ve been sorting through files on the floor beside Mobius’s chair. You spot Ravi, a fellow assistant, leaning over the top of the cubicle.
“Hey [Y/N].”
“Hi Ravi.” You reply, returning to your sorting.
“Where’s Mobius?”
“Erm, France, 1549.”
“There’s been a development in the Loki Variant case.” You nod,
“That’s why he’s in France.”
“This is a new development.” He hands a file to you, and you skim over it quickly. Laufeyson. Variant L1130, AKA Loki Laufeyson, is charged with sequence violation 7-20-89. You look up at him.
“Thanks, Ravi.” He smiles at you,
“No problem.” You stand up from the floor quickly. You pass through the TVA corridor’s before opening a Timedoor. You step into it, emerging in 16th Century France. Mobius is stood nearby, he looks up at you in surprise.
“Mobius. You might want to take a look at this.” You hand him the file. He looks over the front page, before nodding.
“Thank you, [Y/N].” He says, stepping forward, and placing a hand on your arm. “Let’s go, we need to hurry.” You both pass through the Timedoor.
Tumblr media
You both rush through the corridors of the TVA. You skid to a stop at the reception desk, a smile brightening your face when you recognise the receptionist.
“Hey Casey!” He looks up at you in surprise.
“[Y/N], hi!”
“We’re in a bit of a rush. Has there been a variant brought in? Tall, dark hair, most likely carrying a sparkly, blue cube?” Casey picks up the Tesseract from a drawer beside him.
“This?”
“Yes! Where is he?”
“They just took him into the courtroom.” You both set off running, and you call out,
“Thank you, Casey!”
You open the door to the courtroom, and Mobius hurries inside, taking tentative steps so as to not draw attention to the the two of you. You follow closely behind him. He slides onto a bench, with you taking the seat beside him. You’re knees bump together slightly, but he pays it no mind as his focus remains on Renslayer.
“We're not here to talk about the Avengers.” She says, looking down at Loki.
“Oh, no?” He asks her.
“No.”
“What they did was supposed to happen. You escaping was not.” Loki laughs at this,
“Right. Not supposed to happen? According to whom?”
“The Time-Keepers?” She offers.
“Oh, the Time-Keepers. Right.” He scoffs. “Well, perhaps I should speak to these Time-Keepers, gods to gods.”
“I'm sorry, but they're quite busy.”
“Oh, they are? What are they doing?”
“Dictating the proper flow of time.”
“I see. Right. And then what do you do?”
“Dictate the proper flow of time according to their dictations. How do you plead?” You watch Loki as he smirks, holding his hands out.
“Guilty, of this.” He grasps his fists a few times, confusion clear in his actions.
“What’s going on?” Renslayer asks, looking for side to side.
“Hang on. Everyone quiet.” Loki reasons. Hunter B-15 laughs,
“He's trying to use his powers, ma'am.” He slams his hands down on the podium in front of him,
“Damn it! Why won’t it work?”
“Magic powers? They're no good in the TVA, Mr Laufeyson.” Renslayer tells him. “The court finds you guilty, and I sentence you to be reset. Next case, please!” She calls out, as is there’s a colossal queue waiting.
“Reset? What does that mean? What, is it bad? What does it mean? You ridiculous bureaucrats will not dictate how my story ends!” Loki exclaims hurriedly, as the Hunters surrounding him begin to drag him away.
“It's not your story, Mr Laufeyson. It never was.” She tells him in a bored tone, a little harshly you think.
“You have no idea what I'm capable of!”
“I think I might.” Mobius stands quickly, making his way past you. “Have an idea of what he's capable of.” He adds. Renslayer considers him for a moment,
“Approach the bench.” He steps forward, and you hear him offer a soft,
“Hi.”
“If you're thinking what I think you are, it's a bad idea.” She hisses.
“Okay, I'm just chasing a hunch.”
“Anything goes sideways, it's on you.”
“Okay. I feel like I'm always looking up to you. I like it. It's appropriate.” You roll your eyes at him, as you stand and take your place beside him. Loki continues to struggle against the hunters. He looks Mobius up and down.
“And who are you?”
Tumblr media
“I’m going to burn this place to the ground.” You hear Loki growl.
“I'll show you where my desk is, you can start there.” Mobius remarks, and you can’t help but smirk. He glances at you, sending you a winking once your eyes meet. You roll your eyes at him again. Loki slows his walk, looking across the railing out into the TVA. You and Mobius stop to look at him.
“Have a look.” Mobius tells him, gesturing towards the view. Loki approaches the railing, staring out at the city in front of you.
“I thought there was no magic here.” Loki asks, a frown of confusion on his face.
“There isn't.” Mobius replies.
“That's not real.” Loki decides.
“It is, and, unfortunately, so is all the paperwork. Good tinder for your fire, though. Come on.”
“This place is a nightmare.”
“That's another department. Now that department I'll help you burn down.” You shake your head at him, smiling. The three of you step into the elevator. You stand on one side of Mobius, with Loki on the other. You press the button for the appropriate department. The faint tune of elevator music fills the temporary silence, before Mobius turns to Loki,
“I’m Agent Mobius, by the way.” He holds his hand out for Loki to shake. Loki looks down at his hand, with no plan to shake it at all. “This is my associate, Agent [Y/N].” You offer him a small smile with a nod, as his eyes briefly acknowledge your presence. You’ve always liked how Mobius refers to you as his associate, rather than assistant. Unlike the majority of the TVA. Loki turns his attention back to Mobius,
“Are you taking me somewhere to kill me?”
“No. That's where you just were. I'm taking you some place to talk.”
“I don't like to talk.” Loki lies.
“But you do like to lie, which you just did.”
“Because we both know you love to talk. Talkie-talkie.”
“How long have you been here?” Mobius sighs,
“I don't know. It's hard to say, time passes differently here in the TVA.” Loki frowns at this,
“What does that mean?”
“You'll catch up.” The elevator door opens and the three of you step out. You remain close to Mobius’s side, with Loki trailing behind.
“So, you're part of the TVA's courageous and dedicated workforce?”
“Yes.”
“You were created by the Time-Keepers.”
“Yep.”
“To protect the Sacred Timeline.” You hear the mocking tone in his voice. He’s not believing a word of this.
“Correct.” Loki laughs.
“Is that funny?” Mobius asks him, as he heads down the steps towards the door. You both look back at Loki as he exclaims,
“The idea that your little club decides the fate of trillions of people across all of existence at the behest of three space lizards, yes, it's funny. It's absurd.” Mobius considers him for a moment before saying,
“I thought you didn't like to talk.” He opens the door, gesturing to Loki. “After you.” Loki passes you and walks into the room.
“I’ll wait until you’re done.” You say, meeting Mobius’s gaze.
“You don’t have to.” He insists.
“I’ll wait.” You’ve caught Loki’s attention, his head turning to examine you after hearing your voice for the first time. You watch as Mobius walks into the room, and you close the door behind him.
You’re not stood for long before Hunter B-15 approaches. She attempts to brush past you. You hold your arm out,
“Mobius is in the middle of an interrogation.” You protest. “You can’t just interrupt.”
“Stand aside, Variant.” You clench your jaw, a prickle of fear in your chest as she pushes the door open.
“What are you doing?” She calls out to Mobius.
“My job. Is it yours to interrupt?” He replies. His eyes fall on you as you give him an apologetic look. He shrugs lightly in response.
“We have a situation.” She tells him. He sighs,
“There's always a situation.” He turns to Loki,
“Don't go anywhere. It was just getting good. Spirited.”
You hover by the door, as Mobius and B-15 head further along the corridor to talk. You hear the two of them bickering momentarily before Mobius returns.
“We’ve lost another unit.” He tells you. You sigh,
“Are we going to wrap this up then?” You ask, he nods as you open the door. He steps inside and you follow him as he calls out,
“Okay, Loki, I think we can finish up tomorrow and just pick it...” He trails off, and you look around for Loki. The room’s empty. You watch Mobius slip his hand into his pocket, before leaning his head back with a sigh, “Mischievous scamp.” You both rush outside, Mobius calling B-15 back.
“Wish I could say I was surprised.” She retorts.
“Yeah, I wish you hadn't interrupted us.” Mobius adds, annoyance lacing this tone. The two of you jog alongside the Hunters she’s gathered.
“Me? It's my fault?” She exclaims.
“He can't have gotten very far.” You reason, attempting to prevent an argument.
“Split up. Prune on sight.” She orders.
“No, no pruning, no resetting. He can still help us!” Mobius argues. Your group splits up. You wander through the corridors for awhile before deciding to return to the projection room. Once Loki realised he can’t get far he might decide to hide in there. Turns out, you’re right. Loki is perched on the steps at one side of the room. You glance as the projector, the bold ‘End of File’ standing out from the screen. He holds the Tesseract in one hand, the blue glow casting a shadow across his face.
“I’m guessing you know that won’t work here.” You say, keeping a safe distance between the two of you. He nods,
“Not through a lack of trying.” You sit down on the steps, glancing at him for a moment before staring at the wall.
“Did he give you the: your only purpose is a side character to develop other people on their path to greatness, speech?” He looks up at you sharply. You meet his gaze, “I suppose that’s a yes.” He nods. You sigh, “I know it sucks, but I have to admit it does put things in perspective.”
“Perspective?” You nod,
“That the only reason why you did the things you’ve done, is because it was meant to happen. Because the all knowing space lizards decided it. But you’re out of the timeline now, Loki. You can do whatever you want.” You watch as he considers your words. “That’s not me giving you the okay to kill me. Or Mobius, don’t kill him. Anyone else, I’m not too fussed.” You joke. A small smile flits across his face. “I’m going to call Mobius now, he’s the better option over B-15.” Loki nods, and you retreat outside the room. You pull out your phone and dial for Mobius,
“Mobius, I’ve found him. He’s back at the projection room.”
“Do not approach him, [Y/N]. Do you hear me? I’m on my way now.” You agree, and wait outside the door. Mobius rushes down the corridor, grasping hold of you. “Are you okay?” You nod,
“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me.” He pauses, checking you over for a moment, before nodding and opening the door to reveal Loki. You wait outside as they presumably have a heart to heart. It’s not long before Mobius is back by your side, with Loki in tow.
“Say hello to our newest team member.”

Oh, Death [Prologue]
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist

Word count: 1502

A/N: Welcome to spoopy season everyone! This is something very different for me and I’m really excited to share it with you. The weather was too nice for a funeral. Steve couldn’t keep the thought from running over and over in his head as he watched the somber service. The sun was bright and the sky was clear, and that wasn’t the kind of weather for something like this. This was the kind of day where parents took their children to the park or young lovers had picnics together, not where you were supposed to watch a friend’s coffin being lowered into the ground. He supposed it was fitting for someone like Nick Fury, though. Unexpected might as well have been his middle name, and he would have appreciated subverting everyone’s expectations.
The turnout was smaller than he would have thought too. Fury was the acting director of SHIELD when he was killed. He deserved a state funeral with all the bells and whistles attached. Maria had put a stop to that plan before it was even in motion though. She said Fury wouldn’t have wanted all that. Everyone else had no choice but to agree. After all, she knew him best. So instead, Nick had been laid to rest on a day like any other, with only a handful of people in attendance.
One by one, the few mourners who came to say their final goodbyes to the director took their leave. Even the priest and the gravedigger left once Fury’s final resting place had been properly filled in. But not Steve. He stayed, rooted to the spot like the tree that stood tall beside him, throwing its shade over Fury’s polished tombstone. Sam stood with him, not leaving his side. Steve had asked him to come so he wouldn’t be alone, and even though Sam and Fury had never met, he’d agreed. Maria lingered as well, looking like she may cry but never letting any tears fall. It wasn’t until after everyone else had gone that Natasha appeared from nowhere to join them, standing shoulder to shoulder with Maria. Steve finally found some strength in his legs and walked over to join them.
“It wasn’t supposed to be like this,” Maria said softly. Natasha put her arm around her shoulders and held her close.
“I know,” Steve said, his voice thick. “I didn’t think we’d lose him.”
“No, I mean it really wasn’t supposed to be like this,” she asserted. “We had a plan.”
“Who is we?” Natasha asked, looking her up and down. “What aren’t you telling us?” Maria let her eyes fall to the ground and she dug into the grass with the toe of her shoe.
“Me and Nick,” she said quietly. “We had a plan in place in case there was ever an attempt on his life.”
“Who had plans like that?” Sam asked incredulously.
“Sam,” Steve cautioned before turning back to Maria. “What kind of plan, Hill?” Maria looked up and considered the group around her for a moment before she sighed heavily and spoke.
“A while back Banner was working on a chemical agent to help suppress his transformation into the Hulk,” she said. “Tetrodotoxin B. It was meant to reduce his stress and cortisol levels and keep the Hulk at bay. Clearly, it wasn’t successful. When he was brought in to help find the Tesseract, SHIELD scientists appropriated his research. That included the tetrodotoxin formula and all his samples.”
“Why do people always say ‘appropriate’ when they just mean ‘steal’?” Sam chimed in. Maria shot him a look that could freeze the blood in someone’s veins before she continued.
“We found the compound was useful, just not in the way Banner intended,” she explained. “It has the capacity to slow the heart rate down to one beat per minute, mimicking the appearance of death.”
“I still don’t see what all this has to do with Fury?” Nat questioned.
“Fury’s instructions were very clear,” Maria said. “If an attempt were ever made on his life, administer the tetrodotoxin so that the assailant would assume they had succeeded. Then, he was to be moved to an offsite facility where the appropriate life-saving measures could be taken.” All three of them listened intently as Maria spoke, shock coloring their faces. Steve always knew Fury was paranoid, but this was so much more than he’d ever imagined.
“So, what happened?” Steve asked after a beat. “What went wrong?”
“I-I don’t know,” Maria replied shakily. “I gave the doctor the case with the toxin. I saw them inject it. But…he still died. And his autopsy report came in last night and there was no trace of the tetrodotoxin in his system. At all.” Silence fell over the group and Maria kept her eyes focused on the patch of grass she was still digging into with her shoe. She knew what Steve did; that the same question danced in all their minds, but none of them wanted to be the one to voice it. Thinking it was one thing but saying it out loud would change everything. Finally, Steve took a step toward Maria and took the hit for all of them.
“Maria…how many people had access to the toxin?”
If it had been quiet before, it was nothing compared to now. It was almost like the earth could feel the tension between them and had forced itself to stand still. The wind stalled. The birds in the trees stopped their cries in their throats. The tips of Maria’s ears burned bright red as fresh tears pooled in her eyes. She was visibly upset, something that Steve had never seen from her before. He turned his head slightly and he could hear her heartbeat speed up. He silently wished for her to give him any answer but the one he anticipated.
“Just Nick,” she said finally. “And me.” Natasha’s face fell and she removed her arm from around Maria’s shoulders. Sam crossed his arms over his chest and glanced over at Steve who had set his jaw at Maria’s confession.
“You wanna run that by me again?” he challenged, fighting back the anger rising in his chest. He was tired of all of this. The secrets, the lies, the misdirection. All he wanted was the truth; simple and straightforward, something his life had never been.
“You know how he was, Steve,” Maria pressed. “He didn’t trust anyone. Not fully. The smaller his circle was the better. Especially for something like this.”
“Well, that small circle he had is starting to look suspiciously like a noose,” Sam scoffed. Hostility and unease laced through the air as everyone fell silent again. Maria avoided eye contact with them and stared pointedly at the ground. Steve opened his mouth to offer her some comfort, to promise her they’d get to the bottom of this, but before the words could make it past his lips, she turned on her heel and marched away from them. Steve, Sam, and Natasha watched her go and once again, Steve could tell they were all thinking the same thing. This time, Sam was the one to say it first.
“You think she had something to do with it?” he asked, his eyes fixed on Maria’s back. The captain sighed and kept his eyes on Maria as she walked down the hill to her car.
“I don’t know,” he said solemnly, chewing on the inside of his cheek.
“Come on, Steve,” Natasha said, stepping up beside him. “This is Hill you’re talking about. She’s been here longer than any of us. Even me.” He could tell she was struggling with what Maria had said as well. Natasha had been shaken more than any of them by Fury’s death, and if it came to light that Maria had something to do with it, he wasn’t sure she would ever recover. Steve stayed quiet as he watched Maria get into her car. His mind spun as he considered all the options. Maria had been Fury’s right hand for years, and the idea that she could betray him was almost laughable. Fury’s position at SHIELD was one that came with a plethora of enemies, and he was only in that hospital because of two previous assassination attempts. An outside killer was certainly a possibility. But Maria said it herself. Fury didn’t trust anyone. He and Maria were the only ones with access to the toxin. Steve shuddered slightly despite the bright sun and ran a hand over his face. He had to get to the bottom of this, no matter what he might find there.
From across the cemetery, perched high atop one of the stone mausoleums, Fury’s assassin sat watching the lingering group of mourners. His crosshairs moved from Steve to Sam, and then Natasha, and he read their lips as they mused over who could have killed their friend. Just as he’d hoped, their suspicions had fallen to the director’s number two, and they began to bicker over her innocence. A smirk spread across his face as he watched them for another moment before his sights drifted over to his next target.

MASTERLIST - SERIES MASTERLIST
PART FOURTEEN
It was two days after Loki and you had confirmed that you’d be leaving - more like running away - on Friday. Loki said he’d bring you across the world, wherever you wished, and had offered outer space travel only if you felt safe. Albeit, space travel with Loki sounded fun, you weren’t truly there yet.
He came by, spending a few hours, but leaving in the wee hours of morning to prepare for your departure. Securing flights and drivers and new identities and all.
How you trusted him so completely without knowing him more than a handful of days, you had no idea. Maybe the two years of agony you’d spent away from him? The sudden reappearance and the way your world seemed to shift into focus when he was around? Whatever it was that made you trust the God of Mischief and Lies, it was sure as hell potent.
You were all packed now. You had bags full of jeans and underwear and shoes and cosmetics. He’d instructed you only to bring the necessities, but it seemed like you were scared to run out of L’OREAL mascara.
Loki had mentioned sandy beaches and hot tropics, and you’d mentioned forests and mountain sides. Wherever your haven was, you knew it would be home simply by Loki’s presence.
The buzzer sounded and it brought you out of your reverie of the future, jarring you back to the reality where you still had to wait a few more days.
You went to the buzzer. “Who is it”? you asked.
“It’s Bruce!”
Your heart rattled in your chest.
“I brought fish and chips!” He sounded genuinely happy, the normal brother to come and drop off food when he knows his baby sister is off work. Because he knew you were lonely.
Well, not so lonely anymore, but Bruce didn’t know that.
You buzzed him up, closing you bedroom door so he wouldn’t see your packed bags.
You tried to look natural. What was natural for you anyway? Sad. Bored. Monosyllabic.
Bruce walked in holding two cardboard boxes filled with greasy newspaper, handing it off to you while he took off his jacket. “You look well!” he said, mouth in a wide grin. He saw the effects of you being near your soulmate. He could see the glow of your skin, your eyes wide and awake, your smile real.
He thought you were just getting over Loki.
“I’m fine,” you said with a corner smile, bringing the food to the kitchen.
“I’m just going to use the bathroom real quick,” he said, galloping off.
You took the food out of the wrapping, settling it in dishes, the smell warm and tasty. You took out two glass bottles of Perrier and put metal straws, topping off your presentation with utensils.
Bruce came out of the bathroom with a frown. “Why is your bathroom empty?” he asked.
You could feel your heart dropping, but you schooled your features.
“I did a huge clean up and I put everything in my room,” you said, turning and pretending to store some glasses in the cupboard. “Must have just forgotten to put them all back.”
When you turned to face your brother, he was nodding, but that PhD brain was working; you could practically see the wheels turning in his brain.
You sat at the counter, your elbow brushing his. “How was your week?” you asked, mostly to distract him. If he pondered too long, he just might come to the right conclusion.
But everyone thought Loki was dead, right?
You swallowed thickly, suddenly unable to indulge in the food your mouth had watered over just a few seconds ago.
“Yeah,” Bruce said, shaking his head, taking a seat beside you. “It was... intriguing.”
“How so?” You dug into your fries, trying to be as normal as ever, glad the conversation was erring away from your empty bathroom.
“Tony’s been trying to build this AI,” Bruce started, toying around with his fries. “He’s asked me to join him.”
Your brows raised and you just hoped you weren’t displaying too much emotion to put him off. “That sounds awesome.”
Bruce shrugged. “It’s a project.”
You both ate your food in quiet chitchat. Bruce indulged you in Tony’s new plan, on the ongoings of the Avengers, and how many schools had begged to get Bruce in on the staff. You had nothing as flamboyant as that, but you told him about your work and where you’d stopped to get coffee at a new place around the corner.
You absolutely ignored the nagging, tall and dark presence in the back of your mind.
Bruce left rather quickly, claiming he wanted to get back to Tony. You found it a little strange the way he scurried out of your apartment, barely remembering his jacket. You chalked it up to good old Bruce and his anxiety.
You clean up the place, making sure to put everything back in its place. You didn’t want to leave rotting dishes for whoever it was to find you missing.
You felt strange, as if your encounter with your brother was more. As if the world was telling you something. Maybe you should have said a sort of goodbye? No. Bruce was way too smart. He would have seen you coming and he’d have asked all the right questions to get you to spill.
Maybe it was just that you were leaving in a few days, for a long time, and that this was quite possibly the last time you’d ever see your brother. You hadn’t even hugged him. He’d just scurried out like there was a fire in his pants.
You’d written him a goodbye letter that you’d planned on leaving under your pillow the night you left. It was filled with reasons why he shouldn’t come after you, mainly that you were happy.
Because you were! Loki settled all the storms raging in your veins. He quieted the winds and soothed the seas. His presence was like slipping into well fitting gloves. It was meant to be. And you’d be damned if they wouldn’t let you be with the only man you wanted to be with.
Loki walked in as you were staring out the window. The door clicked shut just as his arms encircled your waist, warm and steady. His nose pressed into the curve of your neck, and his scent invaded your senses. He was a solid block at your back, making your heart beat erratic in your chest.
“You’ve been worrying,” he said, his voice rough.
The way he knew you so well was sometimes worrisome.
“Bruce has been here.”
“Ah.” He pulled away, putting his hands on your shoulders and spinning you until he was the one with his back to the window. “Was it goodbye?”
You nodded. “I didn’t say goodbye, like you said,” you answered, feeling the thickness of emotion rising in your throat. “But it was quite possibly the last time I see him.”
Loki smoothed his hands onto your cheeks, using his thumb to wipe the wet corners of your eyes. “For a while,” he said, his voice a whisper. “I promise you will see him again.”
“He was acting to strange too,” you said. “He was talking about his new project with Tony and all, and I just chalked it up to his anxiety, but it was weird the way he left.”
You felt Loki stiffen, his eyes hardening as he bore his stare into yours. “What did he say?” he asked, a muscle in his jaw ticking.
You looked up at him, frowning, trying to read into his mind, but like always, Loki’s inner monologue was but a mystery to you.
“Something about an AI,” you answered. “Or whatever. But he left a while ago.”
Loki seemed to ponder for an instant, but his entire body was rigid under your fingers.
“Did he leave anything behind?” he asked, and he pulled away from you, walking to your kitchen.
“No,” you said, putting your hands in your back pockets. “He left his food but I threw that away. No leftovers for you.” Your weak attempt at humor didn’t even make Loki laugh.
He went to the counter where you and Bruce had sat, passing his index on the countertop. He was frowning deeply, black curls pushed messily behind his ears. You took a good look at him then, his dark blue sweater and black slacks, the way the colors made him look cold but you, of all people, knew intimately the warmth of his flesh.
“What is it?” you asked, watching him skim the surface of the stools, brows pulled in concentration.
Then his hand flexed and he stopped. He bent slowly, passing his hand under the counter. When he straightened back up, he was holding what looked to be a little aluminum ball.
“Dust?” you asked, taking a few steps forward.
“Shit.” His shoulders tensed and he crushed the little ball between his index and his thumb. “Microphone.”
The word seemed to buzz all over your skin, making your heart throb painfully against your throat. “What?” It was a whisper and you froze, watching the way Loki looked back over your shoulder to the window, throwing the crushed device to the floor.
“We must leave at once,” he said, springing into action. He left you standing like a statue in the kitchen as he ran for your room, throwing the door open. You heard him shuffling about, grabbing a few bags and then hurrying back. He shoved a bag strap into your hand. “Y/N.” He shook you slightly, his gaze darting from your face to the window. “We must lave right now. They know.”
You grabbed onto the strap, but your grasp was weak. Your knees felt like jell-o.
“I don’t have the Tesseract,” Loki said, grabbing your free hand and hauling you towards the door. “So we must get to the plane. Are you listening?”
You nodded, but his words were just that - words. They occupied the space between the both of you, and as he hauled you out into the corridor, the world shifted to a blur.
You both tumbled down the stairs, you gripping onto his hand, him looking back every so often to make sure you were alright. At the bottom of the staircase, he took you by the jaw and kissed you harshly. The wind was knocked from your lungs and you clung to him so desperately.
“I will never leave you,” he panted against your mouth. “Never again.”
That promise returned the fire to your limbs, the air to your lungs, and you nodded, giving him a determined look. “I’m with you,” you whispered, and he smirked, bringing his mouth back down to yours for another breathtaking kiss.
“I’m with you,” he uttered, grabbing your hand once more and pushing open the door, daylight seeping in.
You tumbled onto the sidewalk and halted.
There was a man standing there, leaning against a car, arms crossed over his chest.
Bruce.
MORE SMEXY TIMES IN THE NEXT CHAPTER! Any ideas where this is going? I’m telling you, this looks hopelessssssss ;)

“Damn, Barnes. Look at your ass in that tux.”
He choked on his champagne when you snuck up behind him, grabbing one ass cheek and giving it a squeeze before he had a chance to turn around.
He didn’t know how you always managed to catch him off guard.  He was used to being able to pick up on any threat immediately, but you were always able to slip under his defenses.
The expression that came over his face when he finally saw you was priceless. You loved surprising him with shockingly revealing outfits, offending those sweet old man sensibilities he pretended to have in public. But you knew exactly what he was thinking as his eyes drank you in.
The gown you had picked was a deep blue velvet that hugged your curves. While the skirt was tight against your legs, it still could’ve possibly been considered modest. The top though…. The v of the neck wasn’t as deep as your usual style, but the back dipped so low he wondered how you could possibly be wearing panties. All he could think of was snapping those thin straps with his vibranium hand and watching the fabric slide over your soft skin before it pooled around your ankles.
He couldn’t believe the two of you were spending New Year’s Eve in Paris. You’d barely had a chance to speak to each other after your tryst in Stockholm, and now you were together in the city of lights on one of the most romantic nights of the year.
“Hey, Barnes, you still in there?”
“Yeah, sweetheart.” He grinned at you as he watched you take a sip of champagne. “Just wondering where you’re hiding your knives in that dress?”
“Mmm, if this night goes according to plan, maybe I’ll let you look for them later.” You teased him, giving him a wink as you walked your fingers across his chest.
“Alright, that’s enough. You two promised to cool it with the kinky shit over comms.”
The two of you turned to shrug apologetically at Sam, who was glaring murderously at you from across the foyer.
“Sorry Sammy.” You whispered, tittering to yourself.
“Yeah, sorry Sammy.” Bucky gave him a stupid grin as the three of you started slowly moving to one the hallways leading to the main building.
“You don’t get to call me that, Barnes. You keep getting me into these fucking stupid situations, and your poor girlfriend always has to get us out. We were almost home, man, and you just had to follow that shady fucker at the airport.”
“No, he was following me. And anyways, I was right about him. I told you HYDRA had various goon squads lurking around.”
“You guessed.”
“I guessed right.”
“So, you admit it, you guessed!”
“Hey, boys!” You furrowed your brow as you turned to glare at the two of them, a little annoyed at the bickering. “Isn’t there supposed to be a door here?”
They finally shut up and followed your line of sight to where all the intelligence indicated the access door to the arsenal should be located.
Bucky let out a deep sigh and clenched his jaw, his eyes moving up the wall until they found the tiny hatch in the corner, fifteen feet off the floor. He turned his head to Sam and growled.
“You were in charge of reconnaissance. Do you not know the difference between a door and a hatch? Do your little robot minions not know how to take measurements?”
“Hey, don’t blame the robots man! This was based on human intelligence, which I’m pretty sure is your responsibility.”
“Oh, fuck off.”
You ground your teeth together as you listened to the two of them, not sure how you were able to put up with this shit. You took in your surroundings, trying to figure out a way through this situation.
“Well one of us has to get up there.” You murmured to yourself.
“I nominate robot boy.”
“Ok, ya know what, they’re not robots. I might’ve been able to let it go but, heh, I can’t. They’re drones. And if you think me buzzing one of those through the party out there is inconspicuous…”
“Oh, not one of your robots, you. What if I throw you at the hatch?”
One glance at him let you know he was seriously considering throwing your friend at the hatch. You rolled your eyes as you slipped out of your pumps.
“Ok, now you’re trying to piss me off, I just told you they were drones. And you are not throwing me at that tiny door. It’s not even open.”
“Well, if I throw you hard enough, that won’t matter.”
“It’s a solid steel door, dumbass. And I’m pretty sure it opens outward. I vote we come back later with some tools.”
“We’re on a timetable. I say we settle this with some old-fashioned rock, paper, scissors.”
“Um, no, you cheat.”
“How can you cheat at rock, paper, scissors?”
You did your best to tune them out as you stretched, sighing as you gathered your dress up over your thighs and grumbling to yourself about ruining another outfit.
“I don’t know, but you do. Ok, if you use your normal hand, maybe that’ll work.”
“Whatever, I’ll still win.”
You walked back down the hall, then turned and sprinted past the two of them, vaulting off one leg when you reached the corner and using your momentum to spring yourself off the wall until you were able to brace yourself in the tiny alcove next to the hatch.
“Could one of you toss me the laser driver from my clutch?” You called down to them, now that they had finally stopped their incessant arguing.
Sam grinned up at you as he picked your clutch off the ground, tossing the driver to you when he found it.
“Man, every time.” He shook his head at Bucky as you started working on dismantling the door. “I don’t know how your dumbass has survived this long without us, Barnes. You can’t just punch your way through everything.”
“I’m sorry, ‘us’? Seems like she’s doing all the work while you’re just bossy.”
“Can you two just give it a rest? I’m in.” You pulled the hatch open and slid through it, hanging over the edge by your fingertips for just a second before softly dropping on the balls of your feet on the other side. “Fuck, that’s a lot of bombs.”
“What kinds of bombs?” Sam asked over the comms, all business now.
“Well, I’m not an expert, but this sure looks like tesseract related tech to me.”
“Shit.” Bucky hissed. “Any way to disarm?”
“Well, probably, sweetie, but there’s at least 100 of these fuckers, and I don’t really feel like spending all of New Year’s Eve playing ‘which wire?’”
“Alright, just give us a second.”
You heard a yelp from outside and all of a sudden Sam’s torso came flying through the open hatch, his hips catching on the edge.
“Did he just throw you?” You asked, not bothering to hide the grin that spread over you face as Sam looked for something to swing down with. You dragged over an empty shelf and he pulled himself through, climbing down gingerly to come stand beside you.
“Your boyfriend is a fucking menace.” He grumbled, brushing some debris off his shoulders. He whistled through his teeth when he got a good look at the stockpile you had uncovered. “Shit.”
“Fuck me.” Bucky murmured, suddenly behind the two of you, making Sam jump.
“Goddamn it Barnes, why you gotta always be so stealthy?”
“Maybe you just need to pay better attention, what if I’d been a goon?”
“You are a goon.”
“Oh my god, I cannot do another round of this. Sam, can you call this in please? Maybe Sharon will have some idea of what to do about the massive pile of shit we just stepped in.”
“Fine, Y/N. I’ll call the boss.”
You went to examine the bombs more closely. They all seemed to have remote triggers, but you didn’t want to take the chance that they were volatile, so you resisted the urge to pick one up.
“Yeah, this is definitely tesseract tech.” Bucky muttered, and your heart jumped into your throat when you turned to see him tossing one of the bombs into the air and catching it again in his vibranium hand.
“Motherfucker put that down you idiot! What if there had been a pressure sensor?”
Bucky stared at you for a second, then back at the bomb in his hand. “Right, whoops.” He placed it back on the pile gingerly and gave you a sheepish grin.
“I swear to god, the two of you are going to end up getting me killed.”
“Ok, boss said they have a remote drone about one minute out that should have the ability to disarm these. She just wanted us to open the skylight for it.”
“The what?” You hissed at him.
“Uh….”
“There’s a fucking skylight?” You looked up and scoffed, seeing a very large window right there in the ceiling.
“Nice, Wilson.” Bucky just shook his head at him.
“Fuck you, Barnes! You didn’t know about it either.”
“No more! One of you morons get up there and open it!” You were seething. “You’re lucky I like the two of you or I swear to god, I would stab the both of you right now.”
“Alright, rock, paper, scissors?”
“No!! Bucky, just fucking do it.” You screwed your eyes shut and pressed your fingers into the peaks of your eyebrows.
“You got it, beautiful. You’re so cute when you’re mad… shit.”
He had to scramble up one of the shelves as you tried to charge at him, but Sam was able to hold you back at the last second.
“Ok, let’s all just take some deep breaths. It’s all good. The drones on the way. We didn’t have to fight anyone. And there’s still 25 minutes until midnight, so we’ll all get to toast the new year.”
Right as he uttered that last word, a large door on the opposite end of the room opened, and three goons carrying large guns entered.
“Goddamn it, Wilson, you jinxed us. And look, another fucking door!”
“Yeah, they do seem to be popping up everywhere.” He muttered under his breath. “Hey, fellas, we were just…. god, y’know what, I’m too tired to come up with something. Should we just fight?”
You sneered at him before hefting one of the bombs and chucking at the head of one of the guards, hitting him right between the eyes and knocking him out.
“OOHH! What if that had gone off?” Sam yelled at you as you charged the two standing goons who were still standing, diving at the last second to roll one of them over your shoulder.
“Oh, so only you and grandpa are allowed to make stupid decisions, then?” You said, pulling out a knife from under your skirt and trying to stab the guard who was still standing. You were just a little too slow and he dodged you, making you hiss. “Do you mind giving me a hand?”
“Shit, right.” He found a metal pipe leaning against the corner and walked over to where the first guard was starting to come to his senses, bringing it around in an arc to crash against his chin, knocking him out again.
“Drone’s here! Aww man, you guys started a fight without me?” Bucky had climbed back down to find the two of you grappling with your respective opponents.
He walked over and punched the asshole that had Sam in a chokehold in the face with his vibranium fist, feeling a satisfying crunch as he went down. Bucky started to stride over to give you a hand as Sam tried to catch his breath when you suddenly drove your knife up under your opponent’s ribs, giving it a twist before you withdrew it.
“Y’know,” He murmured as he watched you bend over to clean off the blade on the dead man’s jacket. “I’m a little mad at you now. I was looking forward to looking for that later tonight.” He grinned at you, nodding at the knife in your hand as you drew up your skirt to return it to the sheath on your thigh.
“Don’t worry sweetie, there’s plenty hiding under here for you to discover.” You teased him as he pulled you to him, pressing a deep kiss to your lips and moaning against your mouth. He always got so worked up after watching you fight.
“Ugh, I’m still here, you freaks!”
“Shit, sorry Sam!” You flashed an apologetic grin at your friend as he glared at you. Bucky was pulling at the front of his pants and screwing his eyes closed as he tried to fight his obvious erection.
“There’s something wrong with you two.” He muttered under his breath as he started climbing the shelves to leave through the skylight.
The drone had done its job. All the indicator lights on the bombs were off, showing there were no longer armed. You gave a small sigh of satisfaction before looking up at the skylight.
“Gimme a boost, Buck.”
“Yep.” He hooked his hands under one of your heels and grinned to himself as he brought his arms up a little faster than you had intended, flinging you up to the roof in one swift motion and making you yelp.
“You’re such a dick!” You shouted down to him as he started to climb out after you, making him laugh. “What time is it Sam?”
“Hey, we’ve still got 10 minutes to midnight!” He said, giving you a grin.
“Ooh, think we can make it back?”
“Yeah, it’s just a couple rooftops over! Barnes, move your ass!”
Bucky was just climbing onto the roof as you and Sam started jogging towards the adjacent building and cursed under his breath as he clambered to follow you.
Sam let out a whoop as he leaped between the buildings, one of his drones catching him halfway and carrying him to the other side.
“Oh my god was that waiting out here the whole time?” You scolded him as he swooped back to lift you across the gap, depositing you softly on the next roof.
“Yeah, why are you surprised?”
You just gave him a laugh as Bucky flung himself over the space between the structures, rolling in his landing and scowling at the two of you when he regained his feet.
“No thanks, I don’t need any help.” He growled at Sam, voice dripping with sarcasm as he brushed some pebbles off the shoulder of his tux jacket.
“You’re fine.” Sam waved a dismissive hand as the three of you walked to the next edge, which led to your hotel.
You dropped down first to the ledge that was 10 feet below, landing on the balls of your feet and twisting just a bit to gain your balance before you started gliding towards the window to your room.
“You good, Y/N?” Sam called as they watched you crouch as much as you could when you reached the end of the ledge.
“She’s got it.” Bucky muttered as you uncurled your body like a whip, shooting across the gap between the two buildings, latching onto the buttress above your window as you stretched down, your toes reaching for the lower sill. You found your purchase and released one hand to draw the window open, then slipped inside easily. “See?” He gave Sam a grin as he moved to follow you.
It only took the two of them a minute to join you, and you met them with champagne and a pleased smile on your face.
“Hello boys, just in time for the countdown!”
You passed out the drinks and took one for yourself before the three of you headed out to the small balcony that was around the corner from the window you had entered through.
“And 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Happy New Year!” The three of you shouted.
You heard the city erupt in cheers and fireworks started exploding over the Eiffel tower. Bucky set his champagne flute down and drew you into his arms, bringing one hand up to cradle the back of your head as he pressed his lips to yours. You sighed as you opened up to him, welcoming the crisp taste of champagne on his tongue as he curled it against yours.
“Ooookay, that is my cue to leave.” Sam said, downing the rest of his drink and avoiding making eye contact with either of you as he made his exit.
“Mmm, Happy New Year, Sammy!” You called after him. Bucky just waved a hand at him as his mouth moved down to your neck, his lips trailing over your throat as his other hand pressed against the small of your back.
“Just, remember to take out your comms, I’m begging you.” Sam said before shutting the door behind him.
“Fuck, right.” You plucked yours out of your ear and set it next to your glass as Bucky drew you back into the room, sucking on the curve of your shoulder softly. He released you for just a second to remove his own comm and closed the door to the balcony before turning back to you.
“Oh, that fucking dress.” He growled as he took you in, his eyes dark with desire. “You know, I’ve been wanting to peel you out of that thing all night, you damn cock tease.”
You stepped into him and pressed your hand against the bulge in his pants as you nipped at his bottom lip. “Mmm, your always so good to me when I tease you though, baby. I can’t help it.” You moved your hands up to start undoing his tie. “Besides, I don’t know how you can blame me for teasing you when you’re walking around in this tux. I’ve been wet all night.” You whipped the tie off and started working on the buttons of his shirt as you took his earlobe between your lips and sucked on it.
His hands moved to your ass and squeezed as he ground his hips against you, making you gasp. “Don’t tell me that unless you want me to do something about it. Fuck, are you even wearing anything under here?”
You slid his jacket off his shoulders and followed it with his shirt, running your fingers over his bare torso before starting to undo his belt. “Why don’t you get it off me and find out?” You purred, gazing up at him through your lashes as you drew the belt through the loops and moved to unbutton his fly.
He leered at you and brought his hands up to your shoulders, running the thin straps of your gown through his fingers before snapping them easily. He sighed as he watched the material slither over your curves and pool at your feet. “I fucking knew it.”
You were completely bare under his gaze, aside from the two knife belts you had around your thighs, each of which contained 2 blades.
“Damn it, Barnes.” You scolded him.
“What?”
“Could we have one night where you don’t end up ruining at least one expensive item of clothing?” You sighed, bending over to pick up the dress and shooting him a soft look of reproval.
“Shit, baby. I’m sorry. I get too excited.” He did feel a little bad, but every time you wore something like that, all he could think of was ripping it off you.
“Well, now you’ll just have to make it up to me.” You teased, tossing the dress aside and drawing him closer.
“Yes, ma’am.” He murmured as his fingers moved to start undoing the belts around your thighs. He brushed his lips against the small hollow beneath your ear as he worked, flicking his tongue over the sensitive skin there as his fingers brushed over your legs, making your pussy clench around nothing. “You want me to show you how sorry I am with my tongue?” He set aside the two belts and moved a hand to cup your sex, groaning at how warm and wet he found you.
“God, just fucking do it.” You hissed as he teased a finger between your folds, barely brushing against your heat before withdrawing again.
“Well, since you asked so nicely…” He picked you up and carried you a few feet to lay you on the dining room table, kicking the chairs out of the way with a clatter.
He gave you a searing kiss, taking your breath with him when he withdrew to kneel between your thighs. His stubble tickled at your skin as he moved his lips and tongue up your inner thigh at an agonizing pace, moving to the other thigh when he had almost reached your cunt and making you whine.
“I’m so sorry I ruined your dress, pretty girl.” He finally dragged his tongue over your slit and you let out a low moan, your fingers burying themselves in his hair as he repeated the motion. “Wish I could promise it won’t happen again, but this pussy does things to me.”
He pressed the flat of his tongue against you and drew it over your entrance heavily, slurping up all the evidence of your arousal with an obscene sound before wrapping his lips around your clit and sucking. The whimper you let out made his cock twitch as your thighs clenched around his shoulders, drawing him into you even further.
“God, Bucky, right there.” You murmured as he increased the pressure on your bundle of nerves and inserted two fingers into your cunt, moaning at the feeling of your satiny walls clenching around him. He curled them just a bit and you wailed, arching your back into him as you started whispering “please” over and over like a prayer.
He grinned against you as he shook his head slightly, pressing himself even further into your heat and lapping up the juices that leaked from you as he fucked you with his fingers.
He added a third finger and crooked his wrist just slightly and that was it. Every muscle in your body went rigid as you came against his face, soaking him in your release as you clamped down on his fingers and sobbed with pleasure. You released him slightly, only to spasm again from the aftershocks as your muscles quivered around him. He finally managed to draw himself away and stood between your legs, grinning down as he watched you come down from your orgasm, shivering occasionally as a random jolt of pleasure shot through you.
“You think you can forgive me?” He asked wickedly as he finished undoing his slacks and slid them over his hips, followed by his boxer briefs. He drew his hand over his length as he waited for you to answer, nudging the tip of his cock against your folds and making you yelp.
“Fuck, yes. God Bucky.” You sat up and wrapped your hands around his neck, bringing his face to yours violently. You ground your hips against him, groaning as you felt his shaft slide through your slick easily. He started to lift you to bring you to the bedroom and you shook your head a bit before releasing him. “No, I need it now.”
He grinned at you as he teased his head against your clit, making you whine. “You want me to fuck you right here on the table?”
“God, yes please. Gimme that cock. I need you inside me.” It was driving you crazy. You brought a hand between the two of you and wrapped it around him, making him hiss as you lined him up. “I want you to split me open then fuck me until I can’t breathe.”
He let out a low growl from deep in his chest. He loved when you talked like this. He pushed into slowly with a groan until he was sheathed to the hilt, relishing in the feel of you clenching around him. “Fuck baby, you feel so good. So tight and warm. What else you want me to do to you?” He started moving his hips slowly, grinding them against you each time he was bottomed out.
“Shit,” You were panting with need as he moved inside you, his cock dragging against your g-spot over and over and making it hard to think. “I want your mouth on my tits. God, just like that.” He was following your instructions beautifully, dragging his tongue over the inner slope of your breast as his hips kept up their slow pace. “Fuck, baby, suck on my nipples now.”
He did as you asked, swirling his tongue over the sensitive buds as his lips closed around them, sucking softly and making you whine. He’d always been good at following orders.
“Mmm, move faster.” You commanded, wrapping your fingers in his hair as he continued lavishing attention on your breasts.
He obliged easily, picking up the pace until he was slamming into you, knocking the breath out of you. You met each of his thrusts with your own, mewling as you felt a coil starting to knot in your abdomen.
“God, I’m gonna cum.” You whined.
One more drive of his hips and the coil broke, making you scream. Your fingernails dug into his scalp as you went stiff for just a beat before everything released. He smiled into your neck as you vibrated against him, panting heavily as you came down.
He kept fucking into you like a man possessed. He brought his mouth back up to yours and kissed you softly as he felt you relax a bit. “Did I do good, sweetheart?”
“Yeah, baby, you did great.” You laughed into his mouth as he kept moving.
“You’re in charge, pretty girl. What do you want now?”
“God, work my clit. Fuck, just like that.” You were having trouble focusing as he did what you asked. “I need your mouth on my neck. Hngh, Bucky! That’s so good.”
“What else, beautiful?” he grinned against your throat, loving how easily you were coming apart around him. He picked up the pace with his hips a little more and felt you flutter around him.
“Shit, stick your thumb up my ass.”
He was not prepared for that and his hips faltered for a bit. He whipped his head up to stare at you as he regained his composure.
“What?”
“Ahh, fuck.” You were just a little embarrassed. You usually liked to ramp up to this type of thing, and especially with Bucky, you had wanted go really slow with this particular kink. You didn’t know how much of a thing anal play had been in the 40s. “Um, you can forget I said that.”
To your surprise, he broke out into an absolutely sinful grin and gave you a savage kiss as he laid you back on the table, stilling his hips but keeping himself sheathed in you as he drew your knees up to your shoulders.
“I’ve been dreaming about this ass, baby.” He said as he started moving his hips again, dragging his thumb through the slick that was leaking out around his cock and moving it down until it was pressing against your pretty hole, making you gasp.
“Bucky, don’t tease me.”
“Thinking about this tight little hole wrapped around my cock, I was worried you’d never let me in.” You moaned as he pressed himself through the tight ring of muscle and your eyes rolled up into your skull as you arched yourself into him. “But here you are, giving me a fucking invitation.”
He gave a groan when both your holes clenched around him, and he felt his cock moving in your cunt with his thumb through the thin lining between your passages. He drew himself out halfway and slammed back into violently, the tip of him barely kissing your cervix and making you whine.
His fingers on your clit pressed down hard and you flew apart around him, your orgasm ripping through you with abandon. The scream you let out was otherworldly as you creamed all over his cock.
The sight of you writhing beneath him sent him over his own edge and he shouted your name as his cum spurted inside of you, coating your walls and his dick as he collapsed on top of you.
You were still trembling as aftershocks rippled through your body. He kissed your neck and pulled out of you gently. You barely noticed, you were so fucked out.
“Shit sweetheart.” He muttered as he drew himself up. “This body treats me so fucking good. Damn, look at that.” He drew your knees apart and stared appreciatively at you pussy, still clenching as you came down. His cum was slowly leaking out of you and dribbling over your puckered hole. “Let’s clean you up.”
You had expected him to go get a towel, but he knelt down and dragged his tongue over first your asshole, then your slit, making you sob as he lapped up the mixture of your releases. When he drew his tongue over your clit, you came again immediately, it was so overstimulated.
“Fuck, you ok, Y/N?” He hadn’t expected you to be that sensitive and was worried he might have overdone it. He brought himself back up to look you in the eyes, cupping one cheek in the palm of his hand as he studied your face with concern.
“God, Bucky, I’m fucking great.” You gave him a sloppy grin as you stared up at him, turning your head to press a kiss into the palm of his hand. “I don’t think I can walk though.” Your legs were jelly.
He just laughed and scooped you into his arms, carrying you into the bedroom and laying on the bed. He covered you with the sheets and pressed a soft kiss to your temple before heading into the bathroom to clean himself up. He was only gone for a minute before he was sliding behind you and wrapping you in his arms.
“Happy New Year, beautiful.” He whispered into your hair as you drifted off to sleep, drowsy now that you were surrounded with his warmth.
“Happy fucking New Year, Bucky.” You murmured before you dozed off, blissfully satisfied.

Miles To Go Before I Sleep
Part 3 of Cozy’s Fluff-To-Angst Fun and Games
@fablesrose said:
Alright, break my heart.
A lover softly combing their fingers through your hair as your head lays in their lap, quietly drifting to sleep with a hum.
Summary: She could accept this fate, did accept this fate, if it meant that he would escape safe and sound. But Loki could never let her fall alone.
Word Count: 1,663
Pairing: Loki x Sigyn
A/N: So this is based on a dream I had a while ago ... it’s weird. I know it might not make any sense, but my dreams never make any sense lol, so I was kind of trying to channel that a bit. The title is from Robert Frost’s “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”-- I debated about that for a while, because I know this story doesn’t really fit that poem thematically (like ... at all), but the atmosphere it creates is sort of what I was going for? Kind of? Idk this story is a trash fire.
Also please let me know what you think of the ending! I’m genuinely curious to see how people interpret it ...
Thanks for reading!

At first, she thought she was dead. That moment when she first hit the water, the icy crack that shattered her vision as millions of tiny needles pierced every sliver of skin and cut straight to her bones—surely, she must be dead. No body could survive such raw cold.
But she wasn’t. She was alive for now, alive enough to scream as freezing water rushed down her throat, up her nostrils, through her ears, ripping her apart from the inside until there was nothing left but ice.
Can’t breathe—
The surface sparkled above her with a mocking glow. She knew how to swim, but when she tried to kick her legs only dangled in the water, useless chunks of lead pulling her deeper and deeper with each failed flail. Her arms weren’t working properly. Her fingers had turned to icicles.
No, she wasn’t dead, but she was dying.
The thought electrified her, and she tried another half-hearted thrash for the surface even as her chest swelled with water. She didn’t want to die. Not like this. Somewhere, deep down, she was ashamed of her fear. She hadn’t fought the drop. She had given herself up to death’s eternal slumber. Why was she panicking now?
But this was different. She had made peace with the fall, yes, but the water did not hold the same mercy. Please. She gasped for the surface, not even sure who she was pleading with.
Please, not like this.
She wasn’t expecting an answer.
And yet one came.
In one moment, she was spiraling down into the blackness, in another, the light was flying towards her in a halo of bubbles, a familiar arm tight and firm around her waist.
Somehow, the air she heaved into her lungs was even colder than the water below, the frigid wind that whipped across her cheeks threatening to take her skin with it. She coughed out a waterfall, the panic that had been frozen in her throat finally freed from its floodgates as she sobbed and shook against his chest.
His.
Sigyn gagged on the realization.
“You—you—” But her voice only burned, too raw for speech. When she attempted to twist around to see his face, he only held her more tightly against him as he pulled her to the embankment. She pulled at his collar with numb fingers.
“You were supposed to run,” she choked. “Loki, you were supposed to run.”
Loki said nothing. He scooped her up like she weighed no more than a feather, his ruby eyes staring off at something only he could see as they trudged through the snow. She realized suddenly that she was shivering, teeth chattering like a pair of castanets, and she gulped as she tried in vain to hold her frostbitten hands still. Loki’s grip around her tightened.
“We need to get you warm,” he said. “You’ll freeze like this.”
What he needed to do was drop her and get as far away from her as possible, but Sigyn’s voice wasn’t working properly. Really, very little was working properly. Her vision was going fuzzy in the corners, the steady sound of his wet boots crunching against the ice was starting to fade into an indistinguishable buzz.
She only noticed they had stopped when the fire crackled to life—a vibrant, vigorous warmth that washed all over her, and she found herself bathing in the glow of dancing flames despite her better judgment.
“Loki!” she whispered weakly, fighting to cling to her last dregs of reason. “The smoke— he’ll find you—”
Loki lay behind her, holding her to his chest with a touch so gentle she barely felt it. His fingertips danced across her temples, stroking clumps of wet hair from her face as they went.
“You’re so beautiful.” His voice was soft and safe, a warm blanket wrapping her up and sheltering her from the world.
She inhaled. Her chest felt numb. “What’s going to happen?” She hated that she sounded so small, like a frightened child cowering at a storm. But surely what they were facing was a storm of its own? Sigyn knew very well who it was pursuing them. She knew he would stop at nothing to retrieve what he wanted.
It could only be a matter of time …
But Loki was unconcerned. “Don’t worry, darling,” he soothed. “Don’t worry. It’s all going to turn out right.”
“The tesseract—”
He hushed her gently. “Everything’s going to be just fine.” He hummed as he combed through her hair, a tune that Sigyn almost recognized, something innocent and nostalgic. It was something from a lifetime far away, dancing on the edge of her memory. She found her eyelids slipping closed, even as she fought to remain awake.
Can’t sleep now. Can’t leave him …
“It’s all right, my love,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to the crown of her head. “You can go. I promise I’ll be all right.”
And so, she gave into his words, and the world faded to black.
When they found him, the fire had gone out. Loki was hunched alone in the snow, watching little flecks of ice crystalize on his blue skin. He didn’t bother to stand as they surrounded his makeshift camp. Why should he? He was weary, and besides— it didn’t matter now.
The Mad-Titan loomed over him, his golden armor sparkling with frost as he regarded Loki with a kind of patronizing amusement.
“And so the Jotun blesses us with his true colors.”
Loki fixed him with a heavy-lidded stare, breath whistling through his lips in a silver vapor. He was too exhausted for words. Besides, what was there to say? Everyone here knew how this was going to end.
At least, they thought they did.
“I’m surprised at your choice,” Thanos grinned. It was a spider’s smile, one that said he wasn’t surprised at all. Loki pressed his nails into the palms of his hands. “I thought for sure you had chosen to run.”
Yes. Sigyn had thought so too, had wanted him to flee. He had seen in her eyes, that peaceful resignation as she accepted her fate.
As if he could ever let her fall alone.
Thanos knew it. That was the frustrating part. He knew Loki would jump in to save her or die trying. He knew he’d give up his life, give up the tesseract, give up every living creature in the universe if it meant keeping her safe …
It didn’t matter now. Sigyn was free from harm, far outside the Titan’s reach, and the tesseract …
“Hand it over, princeling.”
Loki only smirked. History may call him Silvertongue, but oh, sometimes silence tasted so sweet.
Thanos’ eyes narrowed.
They dragged him to his feet in an instant. Loki didn’t fight it. It was only a matter of seconds before the realization would strike, and he for one was enjoying the anticipation.
The Titan towered over him. Loki fought the urge to laugh. He clearly thought himself intimidating, but his tiny eyes glaring out from beneath his helmet only made Loki think of an overgrown cockroach wearing armor.
Still, he bit his tongue.
“I’ll ask only once more,” Thanos leaned towards him, practically spitting in his face. “The tesseract. Hand it over.”
Loki didn’t flinch.
“My lord—” It was one of his Children, hunched over a datapad with a molded tension in his shoulders.
Here we go.
“What?”
“It’s not here.”
“What do you mean it’s not here?” Thanos snapped. “He has it!”
The man inhaled a shaky breath. “Forgive me sir, but he doesn’t. Here—” He held the tablet to the Titan with trembling hands in frantic supplication. “It’s not on his person. It’s not even on this planet. There’s not even the slightest trace of its gamma signature on this side of the galaxy!”
Loki grinned.
She awoke in her bed, cocooned in the snug embrace of her favorite fuzzy blanket. The rain pattered on the roof outside, a soft hum that almost soothed her back into slumber. Still, she pulled herself from sleep’s clutches and yawned, stretching as she sat up.
Such a strange dream.
It seemed so distant now, all wrapped up in warmth. She could only barely recall the last dregs of icy panic, floundering in a frozen river. And the man who had pulled her out …
She chuckled to herself. If only every nightmare ended with a tall, dark stranger rushing to her rescue. Although memory of his face eluded her, she couldn’t forget the feeling of his arm around her waist, so strong yet so gentle at the same time, clutching her to his chest like it was his sole purpose in life to hold her close. She sighed. Her subconscious had been kind to her last night.
A loud yowling from down the hall startled her from her reverie—the cat, demanding his breakfast. She frowned at the clock and jumped when she realized how late it was. Oh well. Can’t spend all morning fantasizing about handsome dream-men. Time to get up.
There was a song stuck in her head, she realized suddenly. It took her a moment to place it. Some silly jump rope chant from elementary school that she hadn’t thought of in years.
She giggled. How obscure is that?
Another meow reverberated through the apartment, an impatient edge to the cry. She groaned, throwing back the covers.
“Alright, alright, I’m coming!” One of her slippers was missing from its usual spot. She frowned. “Tigger, did you steal my slipper?”
Tigger only let out another screech, and she huffed. That damn cat was always snatching everything she left out and stashing them under something—he was a veritable hoarder.
“Fine,” she yelled, making her way to the kitchen slipperless. “Be like that, you little thief—”
So distracted was she by the cat, she didn’t notice the faint blue glow emanating from the tangled mess of her bedsheets.
