Was thinking about why the fae would want to swap children or take humans to their realm and I've come to the conclusion that it's mostly about lying.

A human can tell you you're the most beautiful thing they've ever seen. Or make a less hurtful excuse for why they don't want to do something when theyre upset with you for something you can't control.

I imagine fae toddlers are just as insufferable as human toddlers with their questions and demands, but not being able to (harmlessly) lie and say things like "blue's clues went bed because she needs rest just like you" would be incredibly unpleasant.

I imagine the fae want good liars, and admire the human ability to lie. They want secretaries who can say their schedule's full, messengers who can deceive their enemies.

I think it would be really funny if one of the Fair Folk became fascinated with affirmations and decided the favor some mortal owed them was saying their morning affirmations for them because they can't.

The VtM part of my brain thinking about BG3 again even though brain activity should have more important things to do rn: 'Cazador's set up and most of his childer scream 'Tremere,' but Astarion himself wouldn't be great at existing within the Pyramid.

'...Hey, what if Astarion's Ravnos, his siring was revenge/educational and Cazador's the adoptive sire.'

The clan has CtD ties; elf. Arcane Trickster -> Chimestry. The clan curse/ban could be any number of his vices (being cruel and spiteful for the sake of it springs to mind), but I think it'd probably manifest as a fundamental inability to obey hierarchy and orders (which is not the same thing as the Brujah temper and clan cultural inclination towards rebellion). Like a lot of people I tend to try to awkwardly avoid the racist shit built into the origins of the clan, but moon elves are not sedentary peoples so there's a really fucked up aspect to this in there if you start converting to the real world shit and bringing it into play.

Everyone has those "stories I play in my head as I'm falling asleep," and this is the one for me. Or at least, a small part of it. In the Changeling: the Dreaming game I play in my head, Sir Lucan and Lord Avaddwyn have a long, adventurous relationship with a deep courtship and lots of kinky sex. Since I needed to write some fun smut to distract myself from The Horrors, I picked them.

Light and Shadow

Today I experimented with colours and layers a little bit. I think the combination fits my, favorite kind of two faced and aittle bit shady changeling quite well.
