The Whispering Skull from Lockwood&Co! I loved the show and I loved the books and painting this was a great way to test out my new watercolors.

This is what I would love for them to touch in Lockwood and co for the iron trio’s individual characters when the show is back
Cause I’m believing it’s coming back somehow
These are just my opinions but:
For Lockwood he would die no questions asked for the people he cares about in the beginning, but it’s that he now would choose the path of living for the people he cares for, and for himself, for as long as possible because they aren’t Better off with him dead. They need him, as much as he needs them. And he needs to realize that he deserves to live, if he so chooses the path of life.
For Lucy, it would be that she truly is important, not as a trophy or some way to gain something, but because she’s Lucy. Not because she’s special or powerful, but because she’s simply herself. That she’s their Lucy, and apart of their family, no matter what and they want her as she came. The whole Lucy. I want her to grow and know that she doesn’t need to be something to be important or to feel like a nobody and feel unimportant.
For George I want him to see how truly crucial he is to every thing they do. Even down to the damn cleaning of the house. He is a core part of them functioning and without him there would be no Lockwood and co, like it would literally would have never been without him or have fallen apart without him there. But I also want him to see he doesn’t have to push himself, he deserves to rest, and not be relied on for everything in between to keep it together because he’s crucial, yet deserves to feel important the way he is, but no giant expectations in his shoulders does this make sense?
Overall I want them to all see they’re all this family of weirdos that need each other to be themselves because that’s what makes them the family they are, and what makes them want to survive the next day because they get to go home to each other, and be themselves.

A list of what I did like and what I didn't like about the Lockwood and co series on Netflix. Obviously this will contain spoilers for both the books and the series
Disclaimer, I do not dislike the series. This is merely meant to encourage people to read the source material, in case they only discovered the franchise due to the Netflix series.
2. Disclaimer: This is mostly what I think was done right or could have been done better.
What I liked:
The concept of Lucy having an old friend who is in a ghost induced coma gives her a more distinct backstory
The visual effects of the series are pretty great
Geroge has finally been shown to actually have mediocre touch and listening abilities, as that was something that was mentioned but never built upon in the books
What I didn't like about the series:
the story has been largely changed up to the point that continuing with the original story is now impossible
they jumped directly from comb carry hall into the bickerstaff case, not even having a small break due to the changed story
To explain this one: In the books the only thing that has been hidden from the public view was the fact that fairfax was the murderer and that he tried to murder Lockwood and the others. Because that was the only thing that was hidden, Lockwood and co. gained huge publicity out of solving the Comb carry hall case, which had them take on a lot of jobs. That made for a break between the books.
Lucy's personality has been watered down to the damsel in distress stereotype. The type that just screams for help instead of just taking action themselves.
Lockwood's skills and abilities have been dampened to the point where all they ever do is running away instead of bravely fighting the ghosts
George's cynisism has largely dissapeared, which made him a more dull character than he had originally been
The Shienroad (or whatever it's spelled like) case has basically been washed over. Only getting half an episode when I think it should have deserved at least a complete episode.
The penelope reveal was way too early in my opinion.
For a ghost hunting series, there were surprisngly few ghosts and I think some in between cases (cases in between the main cases) have definitely been missing

The part where the Lockwood gang runs into Kipps’s fittes gang at the bickerstaff house is truly unparalleled, a simple delight

[id: a digital drawing of skull in the jar's ghost (Lockwood and Co) crouching on top of his source—the skull—with jar mostly shattered. he wears an old-fashioned victorian dress shirt and trousers, his feet are bare. he looks at the viewer with a malicious smile. the background is solid black, the ground is covered with human bones which are just out of sight as the only source of dim green light is the ghost himself./end id]

Emotional over "but if anything's worth dying for" being about George.
Lockwood doesn't even finish the sentiment. He doesn't have to. They both know.
'Cause this is his best friend. This is who has been by his side for over a year. Before Lucy was even in the picture. This is the boy he started an agency beside. The boy he lost Robin with. The boy who has been with him, has seen it all. The first person to really care for him since Sykes. This is his best friend.
And gosh, suddenly he realizes he hasn't been there for him like he should. They both realize it. They both realize they have let him slip between their fingers, unacknowledged, taken for granted. With sudden terror, they realize George probably doesn't know—doesn't know he's worth dying for. Doesn't know they'd do anything to make him realize how loved he is. Doesn't know that he matters. What a terrifying place to be. Lockwood and Lucy know. They've both been there.
"But if anything's worth dying for." It's not the bet. It's not the bone glass. It's not the agency, any number of cases. It's George. If anything's worth dying for, it's George.

Jonathan Stroud, writing TWS book: So when Lucy and Lockwood go to Winkman's store, they get kicked out when he realizes they're agents
Netflix adaptation: Okay, cool. But have you considered TORTURE and BLATANT SU*CIDAL IDEATION in the name of LOVE?

"You didn't actually aim at all, did you?" Lockwood said.
"No."
"You just chucked it. In fact, it was pure blind luck that George lost his balance and fell out of the way. That's why he wasn't kebabbed by you."
"Yup."
