hotd writers thought Rhaena's Vale plot was too boring for tv so they stole a black character's plotline to make a white character more interesting, and they thought we wouldn't notice because they made the Velaryons black in the show (and yes, Rhaena is still written as a white character because she is Valyrian, and the racially based discrimination and violence book Nettles faces has been erased) 🤡

#there is absolutely NO reason the Velaryons couldn't have been portrayed by black actors while ALSO including Nettles #since skin and eye color as defining Valyrian traits weren't adapted into the show just make sure all the dragonseeds had #silvery blonde hair so Nettles being different and special would still be visible #its giving dnd when they didn't know what to do with sansa after season 4 #so they just cut her Vale plot and slotted her into Jeyne Poole's role #what beef do asoiaf show writers have with female characters doing politics in the Vale #clown behavior #anti hotd #hotd critical #f u ryan condal #nettles #pro nettles #nettles the dragonseed
