「 ୨୧ authors note 」 fun fact i had an idea for a sort of love island / dating show smau with jeno where readers got to eliminate the couples through voting but i scraped it once i started pre writing my chapters.

it was pretty quiet in the room besides the snoring; it was 6 other couples in the room so you couldn't really complain about that. you had joined the dating show for fun; but also with the hope of finding someone you could share your love with — and boy did you did.

Octavia's character is actually so well written like

The first time we see her is her having a nightmare about not being able to find her dad in the palace no matter where she looked. Her fear is already clearly shown in her first appearance, and from then on every time we see her is her having that fear re-instilled

In loo loo land, Stolas is unable to understand how she is feeling, that she doesn't want to go to the circus with him (this is a trait Stolas has throughout the series where he cannot tell what other ppl feel, and viv has made posts hinting at this being an intentional character flaw). So not only is he dragging her somewhere she doesn't want to be but then makes it worse by inviting blitzø becuz he wants to spend time with him. We know Stolas could defend himself, it's clear he wants him there not as a body guard but becuz he genuinely wants him to be, ignoring how via may feel, ignoring why he was doing this to begin with. He just invited the guy he cheated on vias mother with to spend time with them while they went somewhere to try cheer her up, and via puts up with it the whole time.

And remember, she was awake when Stella was screaming abour Stolas cheating, she knows what's going on already. They didn't do anything to try and hide what happened from their daughter.

It's also implied that Stella has always yelled and been like this, since we see a picture of younger her in s2ep1. This is important to show how via has always been living in a dysfunctional household. Her mother reacts to issues by yelling and throwing things, potentially physical violence too, and Stolas has needed anti depressants since before he met blitzø again. While Via doesn't know about that, his depression is going to have affected the way he raised Via.

Both her parents are unable to cope with emotions in a healthy way and that will have caused her to struggle as well.

When she finally has enough during the ep and runs off, Stolas goes after her and talks to her but isn't able to tell her the real circumstances for the marriage, she doesn't know why her parents act the way they do, or why they don't love each other. she doesn't know why Stolas cheated with some other guy or why he invited him just to flirt with the whole time. She's scared her nightmare will come true, she always has been due to her unstable environment and now there is someone Stolas could leave with. That is terrifying for her, that is where she starts to hate blitzø.

And all Stolas can do is promise he won't, but he repeatedly fails to change his behaviour. It's shown in all episodes we see via play a large part in: Stolas does something wrong without thinking about via, ignoring her feelings, forgetting important dates, he apologizes but then goes on to do the same again and again.

That is not enough, that makes via lose trust in him, makes her wait for the next time he fucks up, for the next apology, for the cycle to continue. It is meaningless if he doesn't change.

But that's all Via has, Stella is shown to be mostly absent, not wanting anything to do with Via. If her dad leaves then she will have no one and she constantly feels like he could leave at any moment.

In loo loo land, he paid more attention to blitzø than her.

In seeing stars, when she saw him again after running away becuz of the divorce she was also now having to cope with (which she could easily blame on the cheating and blitzø), blitzø is there, and had been with Stolas the whole day

In sinsmas, blitzø is there when she went to find her dad, blitzø who was the reason this was happening to begin with in her mind, was the one Stolas was now spending all his time with

And let's talk about the divorce a bit more.

For 17 yrs she has had both parents present, even as toxic to each other as they are, Via had always lived with both of them. And now she won't. Now she has to get used to both of her parents separating, living away from each other, all the moving their stuff out, the arguments, procedures and the legal side.

Suddenly everything has changed, her fears are getting worse, nothing is stable in her life anymore. And at 17 too.

When a divorce happens when the child is young, they get used to it, their memories of it get vague over time, even if having seperate parents will always have its own issues, they get used to it and adapt better since young children are overall better at adapting to changes like this, they haven't developed their emotions properly yet and are unable to understand what's happening.

But she is 17, she has always had 2 parents, she isn't used to it, and by that age she is old enough to understand, to feel those emotions. She is dealing with a lot and her fathers continuous issues are getting to her.

And then mastermind happens

Stolas thinks he is going to die when he goes to save blitzø, when he claims to have committed crimes he never did.

Via watches him do this, she probably saw how they were about to sentence blitzø to death, and now her dad is taking the blame, believing he would die; she believes the same.

Her father, after promising he would never leave, after repeatedly messing up and leaving Via last, after prioritizing blitzø and getting carried away with him and focusing on him so much, after being unable to do anything but apologize only to do the same again until those apologies mean nothing.

He is going to permanently end his life, leave his daughter behind forever, for the guy Via was always scared of losing him to.

Her nightmare that she has always has is coming true.

Her dad is leaving her for someone else, we dont even see him think or speak about her while he is doing it, she doesn't cross his mind.

Her not being able to find him was her fear all throughout her life and she had told him multiple times, ask if he would, and he was still going to die for someone else.

And then he doesn't even remember to call her till the next day, and they can't even speak becuz Stella doesn't allow via contact with him.

She has to deal with not having her dad there, for a month. She is with Stella and Andy and unable to speak to her dad all month. He tries to call her but she can't answer and she feels more abandoned than ever. Her mother still seems uninterested in her. The only one who cared even a little bit about her is gone and she's all alone having to cope with how she feels, how much has happened.

She was right, after everything, after all her fears, after constantly feeling like he was close to leaving, the insecurity she dealt with her whole life became true and she was proven right. All her fathers promises mean nothing, they were empty and his actions never reflected what he said he would do.

She clearly misses him, but she expected this, she was just waiting for it to happen.

Then she finds the pills, realises how unhappy he was in the relationship and she goes to find him.

And when she confronts him, this is what she says.

"You lied to me, you said you would never leave me, you promised . . . It was your choice. You chose him . . . You don't love mother, you don't love me, you love him . . . So does that mean you just stayed miserable because of me? Was I some fucking obligation? Is that why you didn't even hesitate when you got a chance to leave?"

When Stolas asks to explain she just says she can't. This isn't her genuinely blaming him, she isn't mad at him really. She just can't handle that conversation. So much has been changing, her life's been more unstable than ever, she never had ppl in her life who could manage their own emotions and she is a teenager and struggling to manage her growing emotions already, and that lack of guidance only makes her ability to worse. She was never taught how, she cannot deal with how she is feeling and simply cannot stand to hear the explanation. Seeing Stolas is hard for her.

And what I think makes this scene even sadder is what Stolas says in s2ep1 to Stella:

"You and I were arranged for one reason, to birth a precautionary heir to the Goetia family . . . He's a great helper. He knows almost everything about cooking, but he never cooks by himself. George eats everything you give to him. it doesn't matter if he likes it or not. He will eat just because you made it. He likes it when you cook him a cake, for something special like his birthday or some random commemoration. He loves to watch you cooking, he finds it interesting. He's such a sweet person when it comes to talking about your interests, so he learns some stuff about cooking, like how to do cookies or pies.

He definitely does rather eat with you than eat out. He likes your food better. He thinks it's because of your passion or the fact that he knows the ingredients, maybe a mix of the two. George likes to watch you, he doesn't touch you or move around, he just stays in place and watches you. He likes it when you ask him to taste the food to see if it's okay of salt or pepper. He always enjoys having a preview of what he's going to eat later.

Sapnap

Let's say he's not the best at cooking, so he always liked to see you from far away. He eats practically everything you do, especially if it's something sweet. He's not a big fan of some stuff you do, but he shuts up and eats it just so he can see your smile. Sure, it never tastes bad. It actually tastes pretty good, so he doesn't have any argument to be against you. Once in a week, he likes to choose what the dinner will be. In the other days are what you want or what the boys want. Dream is also your biggest fan, and he helps you buy the stuff, what causes Sapnap to be jealous.

He's a good teaser, though. He brings you close or sits you on his lap when you get away from the pans. Sapnap puts his hand under your shirt as he hugs you, only when the food is done so he can kiss you before he eats whatever you make. He knows it's weird, but he always compares you to those guys on tiktok who make food shirtless. He secretly wishes you to do it too.

Karl Jacobs

Karl has a complicated relationship with food, so he only started eating well when you cooked for him. You both did the things pretty quickly, dating only a few weeks before moving to live together. You always had to pay attention to his actions, and he loves to help you since he got better. He knows it's a little gay, but he enjoys cooking with you while hugging each other. He puts his arms around while you're cutting the carrots and the onions to make food for him. He can't help but fall in love harder for you since you started to do some stuff for him.

He's so kind and lovely, putting everything to the side just to see you doing something for him. You already did a lot of challenges of cooking and especially cooking for his friends while they are busy recording for some video. He finds you so handsome and cute while you're cooking, but he can't help but touch you. He can't take his hands out of you. When you go to clean your hands, he even does it for you, caressing his hands against yours and putting some soap on it.

Wilbur Soot

Will eat everything you do. ANYTHING! He didn't know how to cook, just some basic stuff like making mac and cheese or pasta with tomato sauce. He really doesn't enjoy cooking, but he's a simp for you, and he would do anything you want. He tries to cook with you, taking care of the taste and the texture of some foods. He's pretty picky and likes to eat basic things. Sometimes, he asks you to do something so basic that it sounds insulting. Wilbur is crazy for nuggets and smashed potatoes.

He does help you a lot. Whenever you travel with him because of the tours, he's crazy to come back home and eat the food that you made. He likes simple things, maybe some rice with fish. He loves to see you cooking while wearing his clothes. They look so big on you, and it makes his heart race. He loves to buy random things and bring them to you with a childish smile. He only says "do something" and sits on a chair next to the table so he can watch you cook.

Tommyinnit

He's like a child around you, asking you what you are doing, when it's going to be ready, if he can taste it before it's done, and if he can put the amount of salt that he likes. Tom can't help but be around you, so excited to see what's going to be. It's easier when he's sick, he used to be so tired and you just did a soup to him, you bring it to his bed and he smiles a little. His eyes were clearly tired, and his nose congestioned. He puts his hand on yours while you feed him. He was whispering something about loving the attention you gave to him.

Tubbo

Toby is happy to see you cooking. Sometimes, he tries doing something on his own so he can impress you. It almost works, but he always puts too much salt or sugar. He does rather see you cooking, putting the ingredients on the mixer and watching you turn it into food. He loves it when you do cookies or Christmas candies. He loves spending the holidays with you, cooking at home with no one else to bother you two. He kisses you while you cook, pinning you against the table before he hears something also burning in the kitchen. He's so soft with you, it's actually really cute.

Not because it was funny but because you thought he was kidding, you liked him a lot, your laughter was just a way to disguise your disappointment over the fact he could joke about something like that.

It wasn’t a joke, he couldn’t believe you’d think that.

Once you started dating you realized how easy it was to make him jealous, whenever you wear a new outfit or even look cool sparring Karma looks around to make sure no one (..maehara) is looking at you with heart eyes. He thinks it’s impossible for someone to not like you.

The other 4 members of The Beta Squad, plus Yung Filly and Hary Pinero, were sat giddily in the studio awaiting the special guest for this Saturday's video, everyone knew this would send Niko's mood sky rocketing.

He had been in a mood for the past 2 weeks since his girlfriend, you, had been on tour for your newest album so he hadn't been able to see you. Little did he know you were going to be waltzing through that set of double doors at the rear end of the studio as soon as the cameras start rolling.

"Niko! Get up!" Kendall, one of the members of the camera crew called, he pulled himself off the couch and towards the other boys.

"Today on Beta Squad.." Kenny began the intro before Chunks interrupted.

"We have a guest!" He announced, earning a confused look from your boyfriend.

All the boys turned to look at the double doors at the back as all the cameras moved to focus on it.

The doors swung open as you waltzed in, "it's me!" You stated, twirling around.

"No way!" Niko shouted, his mood immediately lighting up.

"Yes way!" You shouted back with a laugh as he jogged over to engulf you in a hug. "Can you guys believe this? My own boyfriend didn't notice my 10-day break in shows!" You jokingly complained to the camera, earning a huff from Niko.

"Be quiet and let me enjoy your presence for 2 seconds," he mumbled, picking you up and spinning you in the air, earning a squeal from you. He placed you back down on the ground and engulfed you in yet another hug. "I missed you baby."

You both walked over to the other boys, Niko's hand grasping yours for dear life. The boys then began to explain the video. They had 5 girls waiting in the main studio as Filly was going to be playing Blind Dating Girls Based On Their Outfits.

You were sat on your boyfriend's lap, in between both Chunkz and Sharky, with Aj, Harry and Kenny in front of you on the couch.

"The Beta Squad are gonna play cupid, by trying to find, our friend Filly, love. The twist is, the girls are hidden behind a curtain, and round, by round, we'll slowly raise the curtain to reveal the girls that may take Filly's heart. Also! Another twist, Filly doesn't get to pick who goes through each round, we do. By wingmanning from another room and deciding which girls will get rejected. Let's see if we can find Filly true love!" Chunkz explained, going over each rule of the episode.

"See if Aj was doing this, he'd be able to see under." Niko stated, earning laughs from the other boys.

You turned around to him, "and if it was you, you would see over it."

"Yeah! What she said! Lanky!" Aj quipped, making Harry pull him back down to the couch.

You leaned back into Niko, Sharky audibly awing at your comfort around him. Filly started asking the girls their names and ages, without interruption from the 7 of you in the next room.

He went on to ask about icks which sparked conversation between you and the boys.

"Y/N what are your icks?" Harry asked you, making you lean further into Niko in thought.

You hummed, "I haven't really thought of any."

"Well what's one thing Niko could do that would make you be like 'wtf is that thing I'm dating'?" Kenny asked you.

You smiled in return before speaking, "I love him too much! He couldn't do anything!"

Niko grinned and kissed the top of your hair, everyone else reacted with disgusted sounds and Aj mumbled "they're so cute it's disgusting."

After a while of watching Filly talk to the women, Niko grabbed the mic.

"Ask them if they shave." He told him in a monotone voice.

"Niko!" You shrieked hitting his arm and snatching the mic. "Don't you fucking dare Finny, that is the crudest thing you can ask a girl! Instead ask what their favourite song is or something."

He smiled at the camera that was used to show you guys what was going on in the other studio. He went down the line asking what the girls' favourite songs were.

The first girl said a song by you, which made all the boys, including Finny cheer, the next said Under the Influence by Chris Brown, the next said anything by Britney Spears, and the final girl said Irregular Love by LilTjay.

"Okay, It's time for us to vote out another girl," Harry said into the mic.

"Girl 2, she really said Under the Influence, absolutely not." You stated.

This caused Chunkz to pipe up, "what's wrong with Under the Influence? Huh!"

"It's a shit song that's what's wrong with it!" Niko answered, making you nod your head proudly.

"Shut up! You're only saying that cause you don't want to upset Y/N!" Sharky exclaimed, making Niko flush.

"All I'm saying is I want rid of her," you huffed, making Niko wrap his arms around you softly.

"The fans will be loving this," Kenny laughed, indicating to you and Niko.

He was right, the number of edits you had seen floating around Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok of the two of you was crazy. They were adorable, you had to admit, and seeing the reactions of fans when you commented on their videos was enough to leave you happy for a week.

"So what? I'm just showing my girl some love." Niko nonchalantly answered, making you hide your face in his arm.

The video continued on, every so often the cameras would switch from Filly to you and Niko cuddling into eachother.

When the video came to an end Filly walked into the other studio which contained you and the boys, with his new girl, Melissa.

"Love is in the air!" Chunkz grinned, looking between you and Niko to Filly and Melissa.

But when the three of you are all bored and out of missions to carry out, you'll all hangout in a bar to spend some time with each other

So I think Nimh's is a freak accident

I think you two are just walking along the side walk together and it's nice and normal and peaceful

and then a car swerves off the road and right towards you two

let's sad for added against you pushed him out of the way on instinct

I think his vision is actually blurred at first when he looks up from his spot in a bush

he does have a heart condition so that amount of shock is gonna make him legitimately dizzy

he almost dies right there when he looks over and sees you unconscious on the ground surrounded by blood

he is full on having a panic attack and can't breath and honestly everything is a dizzy blur for the next few hours

he falls over again just running over to you and is lost to the world as the rest of the scene unfolds around him

he's full on not seeing or hearing anything as he holds you bleeding in his arms

he doesn't even notice how badly he's hyperventilating

you actually don't die right there on the spot

you're put in an ambulance and rushed to the er and then to the icu and Nimh is in the hospital with you

They're also taking care of him as well since he is actually pretty banged up and is clearly having a serve panic attack and might legit pass out if not tended to

when you finally get to the hospital and start to wheel you away to the icu as other er staff are looking over him as a patient he pretty much starts loosing his shit

he wants to go with you but they need to make sure he's okay too

he's sobbing as they take his vitals

you last a few days and he never leaves your side

his parents come by to bring him food and clean clothes and a blanket but he's not leaving you once he's found you again in the icu

it's terrifying to him how still and hurt you look

he talks to you while you're out

honestly for all 3 of those days, he still had hope

no matter what the doctors said

but when he woke up on the morning of the 4th day to the sound of your flat line he watched all his hopes and dreams crumble in front of him

his happy future he saw for himself died with you

he's honestly a depressive mess and his body has not taken to the stress well at all (heart condition and panic attacks)

it's made even worse by the fact that he keeps having dreams about you

that always turn into nightmares where he relives holding you lifeless and bleeding in his arms

I'm going to be honest

I think due to the mix of the stress this puts on his already frail body

and the fact that he's sort of lost his will to live

he actually only lasts a few months after the accident

he was already lucky enough to make it this fair into his life, lucky enough to find the strength to always keep trying and make his body better, lucky enough to find you

but I guess his luck ran out

for what it's worth, I do think he goes peacefully in his sleep

but for a brief moment he took his eyes off you to also look at the view with you

and in that moment a strong wind shook the branch and made you loose your balance

your security tie failed and you went tumbling

that split second moment went by like an hour to Volks

the sudden realization that you weren't there

then looking down and seeing you falling

it took all of his will power to not instinctively jump after you

but when he saw you hit the ground he never scrambled down a tree so quickly

every part of him was shaking and his heart was pounding in his ears

he came up to you and you were still alive, but badly hurt

he gently cradled you in his arms and noticed you had blood coming out of your head

he pulled you onto his back panicking

he met them on the side of the road and rode with you in the back of the ambulance

and when you looked at him there was this look of recognition and almost like relief

he stared back at your eyes, dull and distant but fully seeing him, the blood running down your forehead ruining the tenderness this look would've otherwise brought him

he didn't realize it yet, but he was tearing up

you reached out your hand to him weakly

he practically jumped forward, walking to you and taking your hand

your grip was weak and there was dirt and blood on your palms

you squeezed his hand as best you could manage

and you smiled at him

gazing lovingly into his eyes

it's both hard for him to be sad about this and equally as impossible to not be devastated

but Aki's learning for the first time that part of being a kistune is seeing all good things end while you have to keep going

honestly I think all Kistune to some degree are like Aki, then Haru, then Fuyu as time goes on

like they all start to some degree young and wild and mischievous, then eventually calm a bit more and chill as they mature, and then being a live for so long matures them to such a level they're almost un-reacting cause they've seen it all

everyone's a little different but it's always roughly the same path

Interesting take anon. I really haven't felt worried for Tom and Z since their engagement. I really haven't worried about them since July 2, 2021 tbh. Ever since they got back together w/each other, I knew it had to be TRUE LOVE, because only exes who still love each other deep down get back together again lol.

As far as separating their personal brand from each other, what is the purpose of that again? I'm missing what your reasoning is behind that? Is it to lessen intrusiveness into their relationship? #REALTALK Personally?? I think that some fans need to just make peace with the fact that Tom and Zendaya (even if they were to break up one day) will FOREVER be intrinsically LINKED to each other FOREVER lol. 😂 Even if they go on to date and/marry other people, Tom and Z will FOREVER be remembered. There's just way too much adorable, sweet content in this great love story of theirs. Once you make peace with that, you won't worry so much about their image outside of each other. Plenty of real-life married couples in Hollywood are linked and still have/had a great career in Hollywood. Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton, Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward, Will Smith & Jada Pinkett-Smith, Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell...who, btw, have NEVER even married each other after decades of being together lol, etc. The list goes on and on!

Thankfully, I haven't been seeing any negativity online about them getting engaged. Anyone who's UPSET at an engagement really needs to look inward and ask themselves why they're so upset with life.

No, I totally agree with you, especially your first sentence. I think that now that they're engaged, fans should just relax and not worry so much about them as a couple. If we get content, great?? But if we don't, that should be fine as well. 🥰
