You realize you’ve never seen Cater blushing. You also didn’t want him to try those extremely artificial filters which apply some blush effect on selfies, so there was only one option left for you — which is making him flustered.

So one sleepless night you decided to think over all the variants you could possibly try, and appeared before Cater the next day, looking not all your best, but you already was sure to give it a go, so you took a deep breath.

And decided to pull your cringiest aegyo which could be ever possible (or maybe even wasn’t) and started singing in a very high-pitched voice, embarrassing yourself but not really caring. “I like you so much ottoke ottoke” was heard along all NRC and became trendy thing later on, BUT AS FOR NOW… now you were flustered instead when Cater patted your head and just begged for you to teach him that so he won’t be falling behind the trends. After a few explanations, he already mastered the song and— NOOO, it wasn’t how you expected it to be!!

Next days went the same way: you would come up with a sudden idea, try to get Cater flustered and end up with being flustered yourself. You also noticed how Cater’s followers were cheering on you in the comments section and decided that you’ve had enough. 

You came to him right in a full swing of an unbirthday party, other students were already guessing what funny thing you would perform today, but you just took the seat right in front of Cater, an enormously long table aparting you two. An unusually serious look in your eyes made your boyfriend get concerned for a second before you slammed your palms on the table and stood up. 

“Argh!” You screamed, annoyed a little. “It isn’t fair! And I’ve had enough of this shi—” You noticed Riddle glancing your way and sighed, lowering down your gaze and pouting. “Why am I even doing this when all that matters is you being happy, which is my top priority… I’m sorry for being so stupidly eager… But if you had fun watching me doing all those silly things, then I’m more than glad to make you smile. So instead of me trying to make you blush, I’ll keep on making you smile genuinely. Got it?”

You looked right in his eyes, flashing a victory smile and dropping it instantly when you spotted him averting his gaze, a little pinkish flash flickering on his cheeks. 

“Don’t tell me…”

“Cater-senpai blushed!!”

“Hey Prefect, mission accomplished!!”

“HUH?!” You run to him. “But why so suddenly?!”

“Aww, please don’t make me explain~” He giggled, that little cute blush already disappeared. “It’s just the way you were so genuine… Please never change, alright? And now I need to get you flustered too!”

“Won’t be that hard. But don’t try to embarrass me with an aegyo song, I’ve mastered it by now.”

Listen herbivore, whatever you’re planning, drop it. There’s no point in whatever you’re trying to achieve with those funny grimaces of yours (Leona won’t say they’re adorable tho—). You can’t also make him blush by embarrassing him because he already has a bunch of dormmates who embarrass him enough by their behavior, he doesn’t really care. 

Pfft, who does he think he is? As if you could be swayed off so easily! Well you do struggle a lot, trying to figure out is it even possible to witness Leona flustered. Some first years witnessed you going back and forth in the back of the kitchen one day and ended up agreeing you’ll be the new part of ‘Seven miracles of NRC’—or whatever it was, you didn’t even know the thing existed all this time—not to mention even Savanaclaw residents periodically glance at you as if you’re some sort of a ghost. Is there a ghostification procedure to endure before getting sorted into Ramshackle or what?

Hello, you’re dating Savanaclaw dorm head. Whatever you’re trying to prove, it’s already crazy, but not crazy enough than the very fact of you two being romantically tied together. 

“You’re dating THAT Leona Kingscholar?!”

“Yeah, he’s being a pain in the ass for not blushing at all.”

… Is what gets Leona smirking proudly lying under the tree in the botanical garden— THAT’S NOT IT. You always punch him slightly for behaving that way and enjoying you struggling.

“Give me Farena’s phone number NOW. I need consultation.”

“You don’t have a phone, herbivore.”

“I’m in the mood for kicking Crowley’s office doors down with my foot and demanding a phone.”

“Didn’t know you’ve got a hobby of embarrassing yourself.”

Hell yeah you did. There’s no turning back at this point, not after trying all those stupid faces you’ve demonstrated in Savanaclaw lounge full of other residents who got flustered by your antics instead, Leona remained unbelievably stupidly insanely solid.

Another day, another embarrassment. The evening was looming before you, Grim demanding you, his dearest henchman, to get yourself together and come back home (aka Ramshackle) and forget about trying to get Leona flustered. The idea is dumb anyway, do you really want to see HIM blushing out of all people? Damn…

“I think I might just punch you in your stupid pretty face to get a hint of blush on your cheeks. Damn I’m such a mastermind,” you complained, poking your finger on his chin while lying next to him. 

“Go try,” Leona yawned. “I doubt your success though. What can you even do with those little hands of yours?”

You sigh, closing your eyes for a second. Leona opens his on the contrary, glancing at the crown of your head.

“Doesn’t matter how strong other people’s hands are, they can’t hug the best person in the world with them. But I can.”

You turn to Leona, ready to demonstrate what you’ve just said but end up stopping in the middle, staring at his bewilderment face, a little hint of red hue blossoming on his cheeks. 

“No way…” You whisper and turn to him completely, ignoring his ‘tsk’ and throwing yourself on him. “Don’t tell me!!”

“I’m not telling.”

“You’re such a cutie!!”

“Don’t even know how come you’re so spoiled.”

It’s always Jade and his never ending “Fu fu, you’re so fascinating, dear Prefect” plays. One day when having dinner at the Mostro Lounge you somehow ended up flustering Azul and Floyd. And that was also the moment you knew you fuc— ahem, failed something. 

“A~ah, what for are you being so caring,” you mumbled to Jade sitting beside you and pouring the drink into your glass. “I love you so much.”

“Ehem, Prefect, that’s a little…”

“Ew,” Floyd commented. “Koebi-chan, you’re greasy.”

You blinked at them, switching your gaze to Jade who seemed to be having fun and taking all this as some sort of entertainment. You furrowed your brows, noticing Jade’s unwavering smile and tried once more.

“Should I write a serenade? We could hold a karaoke night or something, I’m quite confident in my singing.”

“Koebi-chan~ Stop being gross, what’s gotten into you? Jade, you tell!”

“I’m exceedingly flattered,” Jade ignored his twin, getting a bit closer to you. “Should I write a poem to you as well as a way of showing my gratitude?”

By now you know there’s a pattern hidden in his behavior. Whenever you try to pull ‘I’m so stupidly in love with you it’s painful so I’ll cause a mess trying to get you flastered’ card, Jade reflects it, saying things even more exaggerated and far-fetched to the point it hurts other people. 

Somehow your little antics turns into competition between you and Jade — the one who’ll get more flustered students wins. Azul is ready to place a bet but then you abruptly cut him off by saying an extremely embarrassing nonsense and he shuts up immediately, followed by Floyd’s laughter. You don’t stop, making Jade brother’s cheeks covered in pinkish hue. 

Polite Leech twin who? Jade loses his status thanks to you, mimicking into ‘A scary part of Embarrassing duo’ instead. In all this little play you perform you want to find undercovered Jade’s flustered persona. 

Jade likes fascinating, interesting things. That includes your behavior and what made him fall in love with you in the first place—you’re quite an unique individual, dear Prefect. But acting oh so mysteriously and entertaining Jade’s interest isn’t enough. He loves you for that, but what makes him flustered?

“The ground is sure slippery today,” you notice during the Mountain Lover Club activities, ascending the mountain. 

“Yes, I trust you’re rather careful, aren’t you, dear?” Jade smiles and stretches out his hand to you so you could grab it just in case.

“Of course I am! Who do you take me for—”

Hello?? Maybe climbing on the wet dirty cliff isn’t a good idea?? 

You back off, feeling the ground slipping away from under your feet, and stare at Jade, who seems just as frightened as you.

“I’m sorry!” You shout out when he catches you, drawing you closer. “Though I would fit Embarrassing duo aesthetic with a twisted ankle. I already can imagine which jokes based on it would fluster Azul and… Jade?”

“Haah,” Jade sighs. “Don’t scare me like that.”

“Scare?.. What do you mean? I’m okay!”

“What would I do if it was more than a twisted ankle and… nevermind, forgive me for raising a voice at you and… Hm?”

“Huh,” you stare at him in awe. “You’re blushing?!”

“Yes?” Jade blinks away all the blush he had just now. “It seems you’re imagining things.”

“Don’t tell me, I can get you flustered by putting myself in danger? Jade, you’re so…”

“I suggest you not repeat such an experience ever again, thank you very much,” he smiles at you intimidatingly but you giggle, leaning closer to him.

“Yep, I promise~”

“Try being nice to him!” Kalim says to you (as if you’re not being nice but ok) when Jamil taste-tests his meal right before your backs, sighing at Kalim’s silly statement. 

“That’s your prerogative, Kalim-senpai,” you say, not noticing Kalim’s slight crimson hue on the cheeks. 

You’re being so effortlessly sweet to everyone—your boyfriend included—but hello? Is Jamil actually protected from being able to blush or what? 

You’ve tried so many things it’s almost painful to witness. Saying something nice? Ok he’s in Scarabia, literally go try something else, do you really expect him to fall into your sugary sweet words or what. Helping him out in the kitchen with chores? Yeah you did a good job now go rest. Praising him out of blue for his only existence? Erghh who are you trying to fool, really… 

It’s not like Jamil doesn’t appreciate your attention aimed at him, but what are you really trying to do? Isn’t it fairly enough to enjoy the time you two get to spend together so rarely? But in any case your shenanigans end up being an everyday held discussion with bet placings. It’s not average ‘will you manage to get your boyfriend flustered’—not that, but ‘will you try doing some funny shit so that Jamil would get not flustered but embarrassed instead or will you just show PDA’. Now that’s the real entertainment.

Ok so you come up with a plan. Good old kabedon would be so real, right? Even if he won’t fall into your charm, then at least will blush because of embarrassment… Ugh.

And so you think, walking out into the school hall, seeing Jamil from the distance, ‘Almost pa~radise’ playing from somewhere (what kind of romcom is that—) cornering him and trying to look as cool as possible, your gaze aimed right at his steel dark eyes, eyelashes fluttering enchantingly, ‘Shalalala~’ sounds all over the place when you try to grin proudly. Jamil parts his lips slightly and—

“I’ll let others know that their bet failed miserably,” he sighs, meeting your bemused eyes. “They thought you would dance for me today while singing a serenade.”

You pout, averting your gaze and quickly trying to come up with something while you still—kinda—corner him. 

“I didn’t expect the music though,”  Jamil notices. “Maybe one day something will catch me off gua— MHM?!”

Ah hell with it, you think, grabbing the cloth of his dorm uniform and pulling him closer and pressing your lips to his, it’s now or never! Go get that blush while you’re still at it, right?

“What are—”

You never give him time to think, catching his lips again and again. You open your eyes, looking straight at his cheeks but notice no blush. Alright, then it’s time to give it all the 100% of your devotion!

“You!” You exclaim, kissing him once again. “I love you,” you continue with another brief kiss. “An amazing dancer, an unbelievably talented cook, a wise strategist, an amazing singer, you’re… you…! You jerk!”

“Ha?!”

You can’t really define by now if he’s blushing or not, because it’s you who is flustered instead. But oh be sure he is blushing hard.

“Hey, the last thing you’ve said,” he stops you, trying to catch his breath. “You fool, what are you saying?”

But before you manage to retort, he kisses you back, not caring at your crazy antics anymore, the tips of his ears flaming with crimson.

🎀﹒VIL SCHOENHEIT

Well… first congrats on managing to get the boyfriend who got ranked number one at the top of ‘The most unflustered celebrities ever’. But you wouldn’t be you if you didn’t like a real challenge.

Flattery will get you nowhere and you know it by heart. Genuinely praising his work ethic? You should know it’s the axioma, not the compliment which could lead you to witness him blushing. You decide to play a strategist and wait for the right moment to come.

“Yeah yeah, just admit you have no fuc— eeehm freaking idea of what to do rn,” Epel says, stealing your juice when you two discuss your masterplan. 

“Dude I have a plan, believe me.”

“Uh-huh, that’s a great plan, Prefect. That’s fuckin’ ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It’s a Swiss fuckin’ watch.”

“What did I say about wording?” Vil appears right behind Epel’s back, and your classmate gets red instead of your boyfriend instantly. 

You: wanting to make Vil blush because you’re curious and also he would look fantastic, cute, gorgeous, angelic, divine and—

Epel: helps you for lulz.

And then the opportunity arrives: there’s an upcoming Filming Research Club project you intend to join. You manage to get the role and DAMN how lucky you are — the main task is to make Vil’s character flustered!

That’s where the real challenge starts because you know that Vil’s a genius actor and one little blush needed for the play is nothing but what you don’t know is how to make him blush for real.

“You came,” he says according to the script. “You in my arms is like a fever dream to me.”

You gently touch his cheek.

“Ah,” Vil fixes a lock of your hair, and you allow it, staring into his eyes radiating nothing but a feigned tender. “Your Grace, I believe I have no authority to meet you like this. Scarcely thought I would present such a pathetic side of me to you…”

“You have so much power,” he denies. “You will never be pathetic. To me or to anyone else.”

It’s just a rehearsal but it’s the right time for you to not act and perform wonder for real.

“And you, my dear,” you deviate from the script, Vil remains steady at your improvisation, until… “I love you with all your flaws and all the things you disrelish in yourself.”

You see Vil’s cheeks growing a bit reddish when his eyes widen a little at your sudden genuine words and a lovely smile. He can’t afford losing composure so easily, so the next second he already pulls you closer boldly. 

“I loathe to realize I’m the only one whose cheeks are painted crimson. Would you allow me to fix it?”

“Of course.”

— And cut. 

And while others are in bewilderment at your improvisation which turned extremely good, Epel freaks out in the background.

“Stop being greasy already,” he says, covering his mouth in disgust. “It’s just as gross as stumbling across parents when they kiss, bleh.”

“Didn’t know you see me as your parental figure,” Vil nods.

“NEVER!”

🎀﹒ROOK HUNT

“Have you ever seen Rook blushing?”

“What are you saying?” Vil replies. 

“Sounds impossible,” Epel agrees. “Keep on trying tho.”

Keep on trying to get your boyfriend, the Rook Hunt, to get flustered? HUH, NEVER IN YOUR LIFE, nuh-uh, what are you, insane? You brush off the mere thought of trying to get him to blush at the very first second it even appears in your mind.

You’re not crazy, why would you try that?! It’s impossible!

But somehow your question you accidentally dropped during the meal you were having with Vil and Epel gets popular in the NRC newspaper. You don’t care if there wasn’t a newspaper before — it was created just for ‘Have you ever seen Rook blushing?’ caption to spread throughout the college.

Sure many students just frown at it because why would they even be interested in this, who in their right mind would approach Rook willingly in the first place— ah right you would, you did, you love him. 

Then it’s time for you to take responsibility and solve the mystery! 

Uh-huh, if it was that easy to accomplish! Your first guess is to impress him with French but you literally can say some nonsense because of mispronouncing words and he would be in awe, heart-shaped sparkles in his eyes all over the place. 

You are willing to take archery classes? Fantastique, étonnant! He will gladly help you with that, do you know it’s important to have enough strength in your arms? Here, he will show you the right position and— wait, it's you who blush.

You write a love poem to him in French? Ah, à vous couper le souffle! Just how talented you are, your love knows no bounds, he’s exceedingly lucky to have you as his lover!

Cool ok so… What to do?! 

“This whole ‘get Rook flustered’ thing drives me insane,” you say to Epel with a heavy sigh, holding a flower bouquet you’ve prepared.

“You’ve brought this all yourself,” he replies. “Idk do something ergh… Genuine? I feel like a matchmaker.”

“We’re already dating tho.”

“I don’t care, go get that blush already.”

Alright, it’s time to solve all this mysterious ‘Have you ever seen Rook blushing?’ thing already. You find Rook in the school yard and decide to play it another way. You’ve already tried being romantic, why don’t try something stupid at least once, right?

You get down on one knee and give Rook the bouquet you’ve prepared.

“Ahem… It’s Larisochka Guzeeva and this is the program ‘Let’s get married!’... Or not. Actually, I’m not trying to suggest that we get married. Not yet! Maybe in the near future… God what am I saying argh!! ANYWAY! Rook, listen, I love you to the point I don’t care if I act odd and weird to other people. I’m okay with doing all these when I’m with you…”

“He… Heheh~ Oh dear Trickster, what a lovely person you are,” Rook chuckles at your performance and you think you’ve failed miserably but then you notice how sweet the pinkish hue on the tips of his ears is and raise up instantly.

“I did it!!”

“Ah, right, I think I should do it more often.”

“What.”

“Spreading the mystery about no one seeing me blush, of course~”

“ROOK!”

Ok so how do you make an aeon old bat fae flustered.

Lilia knows you want to impress him before you even know it yourself, and when the whole Diasomnia holds a parley about how to prevent you from getting a majestic glorious undoubtedly wise and stoic Lilia-sama— ok Sebek we got you, in any case Lilia just chuckles and smirks.

It’s a game! And if it is, then you should laugh, not blush, the formula is easy. He will make you flustered instead before you even can think of something. 

A petard exploding with sparkling particles early in the morning with ‘Greeting to the most important person in all the dimensions existing’ forming right under the ceiling of your room in Ramshackle? Easy, wanna see it again tomorrow? 

If the petard was too scary for you to comprehend or wasn’t so romantic, then how about fixing the collar of your uniform before pressing a gentle kiss on your cheek?

Still not convinced Lilia’s a master of making you flustered? Ho~ You silly, how about the ring changing its engravings every hour, going from ‘I love you’ to ‘I’m forever yours’? 

Look, dear Prefect, he's absolutely invincible! You’ve got such a brainy boyfriend and—

Ho, have you finally realized you want to see him flustered? Bring it on!

… Or so he thought.

Suddenly you don’t react at all. He bought flowers? Ok cool you have an enormously large garden in Ramshackle by now, what’s the big deal? He composed a song for you? Yeah nice why not. 

Lilia quickly realizes you’re playing another game. Why not, you’re being so amusing while trying to outsmart him by pulling the ‘I actually don’t care at all’ card, but he knows how your little smiles blossom when you turn around, so there’s no need to worry.

“Stop being so unnecessarily cold to Lilia-sama!!” Sebek demands when you visit Diasomnia and blink at him.

“Calm down, Sebek. Prefect and Father play a game. A strange one, there’s no denying, but still…”

The two of them start bickering and you chuckle, trying to reassure them everything’s okay. 

Lilia joins you not that instantly, watching you for some time and then decides to have some fun again, hugging you from behind and floating midair at the same time.

“Ho~ I see you’re not repulsing me today, hm?” 

“I was in the middle of creating another tactic but got distracted by the kids.”

“Kids?” Lilia leans closer to you with a cheeky grin on his face.

“Yes, Silver and Sebek are like kids to me. Is it what having children feels like? Maybe we could start our own family one day… Oh, I got carried away. What are you going to demonstrate to me to… day…?”

You turn to Lilia, his face extremely close to yours when you see a foreign pink dusting his cheeks while his eyes widen in shock.

THIS ACTUALLY reminds me of one of the very very first drafts I wrote even before Tartaglia's little brotherfication (coincidentally also of Dottore) so this is very fun. That doll was one of Sandrone's creations and I've decided so is this one

this also may hit close to home did I ever mention my slight obsession with dolls (it's worse than slight)

Dottore has fixed you many times, much to his inconvenience.

He has warned you many times against becoming reckless, but you never seem to listen, at least in his eyes. You are by no means fragile—porcelain is hard to chip away at—your habit is simply that of finding danger. Finding it, throwing yourself at it, and landing yourself here in the darkest corners of the Fatui's headquarters so the doctor can carefully string you back together.

A gentle touch is not his forte, the practised hands of a doctor toiling away in his effort to put you back together. You prefer him to Sandrone any day for how much less pain you associate with him. He can scold you all he likes, but it may never work. You'll keep coming back and asking for his help when your strings come loose, and he will oblige your request for reasons that escape even him. It is a simple process now performed practically from memory.

Your habit of collecting frankly worthless items is certainly something. The bows, frilly dresses, and varying spools of lace you always claim you'll do something with and never do all feel normal. The porcelain dolls, on the other hand, are...interesting.

You are a living porcelain doll, and yet you collect them like novelty items. Isn't that like your equivalent of collecting human babies? Whatever it is to you, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, so he keeps quiet as you fuss over their placement and hair, straighten their clothes or whether you're willing to sacrifice the careful styling of their hair to a pretty hat. It keeps you happy and away from everything dangerous that you seem to always run into.

The truth is, you are not in the slightest delicate despite making yourself seem that way. What you are is heavy, too heavy to always be lifting onto an operating table and too heavy to be lugging your pieces around—porcelain is not light.

However, there is interest to be had in the workings of your construction, which he is reminded of each time he takes you apart and watches you divide into inanimate pieces. You talk to him sometimes, pleasant background noise, or maybe just annoying when you start asking foolish questions he can't possibly answer. He can handle every "What are you doing?" and "Why are you doing that?" but when you begin to show your ignorance regarding your own creation and try to turn to him for answers instead of Sandrone, it frustrates him. 

You're supposed to answer his questions.

"She doesn't like my questions," you reason, and he never has to wonder why that is. Your incessant prodding and curiosity would irritate her, as does his indulging of your curiosity. She will complain that you're becoming restless and not as quickly satisfied, but really, nothing much at all has changed.

He can deal with your gravitation toward the things that make you happy if that's what keeps a smile on your face. One might even say he doesn't mind it, even when you pester him to help you tie your bows when they come loose in your hair or listen to your ramblings as you try to get him to help you with your dolls. He's better at tying knots than you. His hands have friction to keep the strings in place, unlike your slippery porcelain hands.

Your habits are endearing in their own way, the satisfaction with things that make you feel...human. You will never be, but the illusion of humanity and the yearning to chase it is not unlike the Segments. They think of themselves as human, believe they are, and exist as though they are human, yet they will never be as human as Prime. female (yin)-centric exercises and movement practices

i am personally all for the burgeoning popularity of somatics and i think the rise of pilates is wonderful.

for a long time, "exercise" meant hitting the gym and painfully enduring sessions that felt like physical torture. unless you're a high performance athlete, i dont really see the merit in resistance training tbh. obviously everybody has different tastes and preferences and some people probably find somatics and pilates too boring and slow and want something more high intensity which is 👍🏼

however, for many of us who struggle to keep up with these and repeatedly admonish ourselves for being "lazy" due to our inability to thrive or be consistent or enjoy these workouts, there are manyyyy other forms of practices that are wonderful and fun to do and are perhaps better suited for our bodies, temperaments, lifestyles etc

first of all, the concept of "exercise" has become synonymous with either losing weight or making gains. we are told that we have to "exercise" to stay fit. but exercise can mean manyyy different things, its not just cardio and weights. and this means a lot of people think if you're not trying to gain or lose anything, you dont "need" to "exercise".

but this is not true, i think "movement" is a better word and everybody regardless of their weight, age, gender or whatever else needs to move their bodies. we were not meant to just sit, stand and lay down, we need to move. not to serve some moral purpose of "fitness" (another flawed concept) but because its spiritually, physically and emotionally bad for us to not move. we feel more alive when we move. our culture has become so dopamine fried, sex addicted, toxic eating and drug abusing in large part because our lifestyles are so sedentary and we crave stimulation. we wouldnt depend on external substances to feel "alive" if we felt that aliveness within us every day.

you dont need to "exercise" but you def need to move!!! when we dont, we feel lethargic, stagnant, our joints (from years of inactivity) become more sensitive, our body hurts, our immunity suffers and aging can bring aches of all kinds but this does not have to be anybody's reality. we change this!!

you're not lazy for not exercising, if you liked how doing an activity made you feel, you would do it all the time. dont punish yourself!!!

i personally think strength training works for many people. this can mean, swimming, cycling, hiking, dancing, pilates, yoga, barre etc

now about somatic movement practices,

somatics is all about the mind-body connection and intentional movement. pilates (which was basically developed from yoga) and yoga are examples of somatic practice

but there are other methods as well:

Rolfing

Alexander method

Feldenkrais method

Laban movement analysis

Fascia training (myofascial release)

and somatic practices also include things like progressive muscle relaxation, emotional freedom technique, body scanning etc

i know it can all be a little overwhelming but tbh there is a lot of overlap between all of these practices so dont feel like you're missing out by not trying them all,, stick to what feels right for you and focus on that.

yin yoga and restorative yoga (very similar but also different) are also helpful

the reason i put "female centric" in the title is bc i feel like the world of diet and exercise is dominated by a masculine worldview of doing things the hard way/aggressive way and by acting with resistance/restraint instead of a more open/whole approach and valuing "slow" progress over quick and easy ones. the reason why ppl hit the gym make quick progress and then relapse is bc its genuinely difficult to put up with a gym routine for most people who aren't physically immune to pain. movement does not have to "hurt", be "draining" or a proof of your willpower as a human being. its fun, easy, natural, fulfilling and a part of life<333 you can proceed more slowly and make progress over time but tbh you'll be lost in the flow so you wont bother checking to see if you have and life is long so there's no rush!! what we gain slowly will last us forever!! bc we alter our body's alignment and our own relationship with it + our lifestyle/routine to truly embody it instead of a "crash and burn" style that leads to burnout.

remember, the river wears out the rocks not through force but simply by flowing<3

I was so excited when I woke up to the Love Song from a Dog notification this morning! The parallel between Gale fantasizing about John and John fantasizing about Gale in the same bed was so well written that I actually went back and read that chapter in KFAK.

I was wondering if you think Gale would ever admit to John he feminized himself in those fantasies? Would John be into it?

I so appreciate that you don’t soften Gale as a character, I think he is often feminized in the head canons I see floating around. Which is fun and often sexy (and easy to do when you look like Austin Butler goddamn). But how you write Gale as well aware of societal roles and how he doesn’t conform to them (in that he doesn’t want John to view him as a woman) is such great characterization.

On the other hand maybe sometime down the line when they’re both more confident and comfortable in their relationship it might be something they explore.

Hahaaa yeah I was like narratively speaking he HAS to!! I love how their journeys with their sexuality are so parallel but sooo deeply different. Almost opposite in a way. Gale knows what he is but is so sexually repressed meanwhile John is so repressed about what he is but sexually is so open. That's almost the issue of their conflict in some ways. The things they need to work through are so conflicting.

I think for Gale his feminizing himself is less of a kink and more of a avenue of self loathing tbh. It doesn't sexually excite him, it's a weird self-flagellating safety net.

In Gale's eyes John doesnt like women. He'd never want Gale, but if Gale were a woman he would. And so he puts himself in these fantasies to both dissociate himself from it as well as almost like sexually punish himself? That's why in the aforementioned bed masturbation bit when he begins to fantasize about topping John it takes him out of the fantasy and he has to stop. it feels to real and too close and too scary. it's giving himself TOO much agency. Straight, Masculine John bottoming?? Impossible (Gale u fool)

To that degree I don't know if Gale would ever bring it up and if he did yes John would definitely find it arousing (he finds anything about Gale arousing lol) But I don't know if they would ever explore it because Gale is so... weird about his masculinity.

I think for me Gale is the more hypermasculine of the two. BECAUSE his masculinity feels sooooo performative. It's more of a shield or a mask he wears rather than John where he's more just...being himself and that happens to be very traditionally masculine. And to me I interpret that as someone (In Gale's case) who is DEEPLY insecure about said masculinity. Gale has issues with his gender presentation stemming from his sexuality and really he just needs to be dropped into a college sex & sexuality course and he might be fixed.

Lola Rennt (1998) - banger soundtrack and editing

Vertigo (1958) - the most boring of the Hitchcock films I've seen so far

A League of Their Own (1992) - makes me want to watch baseball

White Men Can't Jump (1992) - did not expect jeopardy to be so important in this film, also loved the fashion

The Fall Guy (2024) - my mum loves the original series so we had to watch this and I had an amazing time

Blinded by the Light (2019) - the dialogue is strange at times but a banger soundtrack (obviously) and some amazing editing, very uplifting and I watched this on my flight to the US btw

Good Will Hunting (1997) - I watched this during my first week in Massachusetts before starting grad school here

Alien3 (1992) - this film says so much about gender, actually

Hunt (2022) - Probably less confusing if you know more about Korean history, fun plot twist and imo some homoerotic tension

Scarlett Innocence (2014) - tbh I didn't even watch the whole thing because I don't go for erotic thrillers, I just watched the scenes where Jung Woo Sung is a poor little meow meow

Inseperable Bros (2019) - some dialogue was a bit awkward but that might have been the translation, I like that this was about interabled platonic relationships

Remember You (2016) - the first plot twist is predictable as hell but the second one hit me in the face like a brick

The Childe (2023) - Kim Seon-ho has the range (creepy and babygirl) (covered in blood and coughing up blood)

The Good The Bad The Weird (2008) - not only the best western I've ever seen but also one of the best films I've seen this year at all

Sympathy for Mr Vengeance (2002) - very unsatisfying, but in a good way

As We Were Dreaming (2015) - the German answer to banlieu films, a film about the reunification of Germany from a different perspective than you're used to, despite living decades later and in the west I feel like I know these characters

Transit (2018) - the anti Casablanca, a double exposed picture of past and present, a Kafkaesque limbo of bureaucracy and loss of identity

Berlin Alexanderplatz (2020) - long, confusing, too smart for me and I still couldn't stop watching it. There's something very queer about this film too.

23. Same VA as Aoi, I enjoy her performance. Her voice is fun and different, contrasting the rest of the cast with her accent. Bonus points for going from Aoi to Angie in 5 seconds.

22. Teruteru: Augh I love this stupid litte man for his stupid little voice. Even though he's a creep his lines are delivered VERY well, and even his accent is great. That's some talent that we NEED to talk about more often.

21. Sayaka: Babes talked three times in official-art moments and does NOT get enough credit. I enjoyed her scenes and wish that she was in a class trial.

20. Leon: Omg leosaya order?! /hj. Y'all sleeping on Grant George, like goddam. When he gets mad, he gets mad. Talk about Leon more, give this man some credit his performance was excellent!

19. Miu: Augh I don't know how to explain the itch Miu scratches whenever she speaks. Even her "VIRGIN WHORE" moment voice lines just AUGHHH. The VA was picked SO well here, it suits her perfectly and I'm tired of pretending Miu = Hifumi because they're both pervy characters. GODDAMIT MIU WAS USEFUL!

18. Hiyoko: I do not care what you say, she ATE. She fucking devoured that second trial bro, my respect went up when she did all'at. God bro I find Hiyoko mid, one of my least favourite characters, but god her VA is so talented.

17. Shuichi: I don't think I need to explain too much, but god SHUICHI!!! When Grant George is given the time to develop... augh. "Kaede... that's just so cruel..." YOU CAN HEAR THE PAIN. TALK ABOUT THIS MAN MORE!!!

16. Jill/Syo: I know she has tiktok sounds, but she did so well. She ate every single line up, she used all of her screentime so well! I genuinely love her performance, and I don't even like her!

15. Tenko: So talented... you guys please hear me out (I'M NOT BIASED AT ALL.) but when she gets official art and moments in trials that's when she flourishes. "QUICK! OPEN THE CURTAIN, ALREADY!" like so satisfying Idc what y'all say she ate it up.

14. Himiko: After Chapter 2 she just... utilised the rest of her screentime. SHE CRIED, SHE SCREAMED, SHE USED HER EMOTIONS LIKE TENKO SAID!!! I love Himiko, and she is super underrated.

13. KOREKIYO: <- THIS DUDE IS THE REASON I MADE THIS TIER LIST. GOD HE IS NOT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH!!! I don't care about the incest plot, his FANTASTIC voice acting lets him off the hook.Not just when he snaps, but when he screams!

8. Gundham: Augh he delivers every line so beautifully in his trial. "THIS IS FOR THE TANAKA EMPIRE!" the power behind his voice and his hero-complex make me so happy. Every time he lost it in his trial I got LITERAL CHILLS. A fantastic perfect performance oh my goddd.

7. Kaede: I don't care what y'all say she WAS SO GOOD. "I'm nothing but a cold-blooded killer!" and that scream at the end of argument anament was FIREEE! I love her sm, and her VA did so much better as Kaede then as Kyoko.

6. Celestia: I dislike Celestia, but oh my god she did so well. The quiet reserved character snaps is definetely a chapter 3 trope favourite. I hate Trail and Chapter 3 THH, but that just shows how well Celes performed, her VA went INSANE for this role, and I love that she ate it.

5. Kokichi: He deserves this spot, he does so well, every single trial, every single performance, every voice line, every interaction. It truly embodies the spirit of "chaos" yk? (Just finished trial 4 and he deserves to be 3rd on the list.)

4. Kaito: LUMINARY OF THE STARS! I don't need to say more do I? (I'm lazy pls send helppp)

YOU POURED YOUR HEART AND SOUL INTO THIS PERFORMANCE!!!:

3. Fuyuhiko: AUGH SO SATISFYING, ESPECIALLY IN THE SECOND TRIAL. He does an amazing job, has fantastic range and AUGHHHHH HIS VOICE IS SO SATISFYING.

2. Ishimaru: The amount of sheer power in every voice line astounds me every time he speaks. From "I assert that the one who was murdered was Miss Sayaka Maizono!" to "Why are you all trying to frame him?!" and everything in between, he deserves this spot on the list.

Kirumi: All we see of her is calm and reserved until she snaps. She KEEP FIGHTING until the very end. You can hear the pain in her voice, how she IS BREACHING HER LIMIT during her "I WILL NOT DIEEEE segment." also, YOU CAN HEAR HER SCREAMING IN HER EXECUTION, let me show you.

Incidentally, if you’re wondering, in the Tom Cruise Ranking^tm I would put this one just under EoT. It’s tough cause it’s a more fun watch than EoT but EoT left me with more to think about and had less flaws overall imo

Also arc since you still haven’t answered the discord server question….hmmm. idk if this would be a draw for you. but! to my tastes tom cruise is at his sexiest in this movie. He’s just really charismatic and endearing and hot in this role what can I say. Roy Miller is such a joy to watch on screen because he’s deeply campy and the movie doesn’t take him seriously, but TC brings this depth and flair to him that makes him feel like a guy, not just a parody of one. And when the movie starts bringing in depth to him as a character it never feels forced because TC’s performance has made him feel real from the beginning. Usually when I see characters that are this balls-to-the-wall charming and bizarre, they don’t work once the movie brings them down to earth. But it really works here

I also really loved another character (i want to avoid giving too many spoilers) who Roy is protecting, his dynamic with Roy was a great grounding element cause his acting style was so different (fantastic actor) and worked both as another eccentric personality and also a dose of realness. His friendship with Roy was the soul of the movie tbh and I would do anything for either of them

Knight and Day is also really fun to watch as an MI fan because Roy is so clearly Ethan Hunt inspired. He’s like Ethan if you take away all the visible trauma and add a totally different kind of visible trauma that makes him funny as hell instead of soft and tired. Both of them are autistic, both of them are aggressively competent and armed and dangerous but find time to be Really Nice to people, both have a habit of picking up strays. I’m talking a lot about Roy here cause I’m kinda in love with him but Cameron Diaz is fantastic in this movie too as June, she has a difficult job of being “incompetent who becomes competent over time” and she sticks the landing in a way that feels fun and doesn’t make you think too hard about how she knows how to fire a gun now. I really liked her dynamic with Roy, they had great chemistry and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed each other in a simple nice way. And there were a few emotional beats between them that hit for me ngl. TC is so gorgeous in this movie that at certain points I was marveling at her ability to not kiss him already.

The only issue I had was this one joke I really didn’t like and they tried to bring it back at the end to gender reverse it which I guess they thought would make it better but IMO it didn’t. The rest of the movie was good enough for me to overlook the joke but I was irritated by the joke it’s actually the reason I would rank EoT ahead😭 (if you’re cool with spoilers, also some no-fun kinda dubcon stuff ahead: there’s a thing where it’s implied Roy changed June’s clothes while she was unconscious, and she gets pissed at him and tries to punch him but it’s played for laughs. Later she does it back to him and it’s near the end of the movie which makes me think someone involved with this movie thought that joke was really funny. Anyway that’s The Flaw of the movie)

Anyway these are my thoughts on the movie such as they are. I would do anything and I mean anything for Roy Miller especially Roy Miller in a tux. If you do end up seeing the movie I would like to request that you please let me know what you think of it

7.28.24 / day 35 of romanticizing my life until i love myself again

it’s almost 2am, i woke up about an hour ago from a 5 hour “nap” after going to a queer day market to support my friend selling their art, and it was really cute and i was honestly super social as i have not had that much social interaction lately (getting used to living alone and having to actively go out and seek social interaction has changed my capacity when i do have it so much, like crazy not feeling drained every time i leave the house because i’ve already been like 5 people’s father/therapist/cleaner/etc before getting to the place i’m going to be supportive/present for someone else) but god damn it was so f u c k i n g hot and tbh i’m very proud of myself for making it as long as i did i only made it thanks to the ice cream vender who put my ice pack necklace (shoutout to my mom who has these for menopause and told me about them) in her cooler so it could get cold again and the lemonade vender who gave me a giant cup of ice to hold against various parts of my body to stay cool af and i got to talk about the music video, and future music videos, the more we talk about this stuff, the more motivated i feel to work on music i want to get to the part where i get to be the thing i’ve been building mostly in my brain for so long

originally, we were going for summer release, and then everything got all fucked up with my roommate situation and moving but i think it was meant to happen this way; this project is better suited for the fall, regardless, and clearly brat has taken over this summer in terms of music, on all levels, especially in the hyperpop scene there are still brat parties going on in la, smaller artists are still reaping the benefits of this album (though not getting much credit, as per usual) love seeing the dare dj a petal supply remix of a brat song and getting all the credit, it’s fine we can continue letting cis white dudes get the credit for queer artists, it’s fine i was literally at a brat market today, where everyone had brat merchandise it’s hard for any other music to break through the brat noise in pop/hyperpop right now, not to mention, boypop is kind of fucking freaky, so i do think sept/oct release would be good for the theme

i rewatch the assembly of the first minute or so of footage and literally cannot believe that that is me these are the movements i practice in the shower, in the corner, in my room, when no one’s looking, movements, expressions, i rarely actually see and the thing is, when i do see, i often shrink from them when i tried to practice performing like this in front of a mirror, i always lost it, the authenticity of it, the commitment, giving fully into the performance, the character, the self that’s the only way, in my opinion, to perform, because any level of restraint pulls you back to reality, that i am just a human, an insecure boy, going through puberty for the second time in his life of 27 years, afraid that he hasn’t done enough in his short time on this earth and wishes he’d taken a life-altering journey to a faraway planet where pop music was the harbinger of liberation instead of a stint in rehab and a coke addiction

anyway, market was fun, although so so hot, and after not going out all weekend, especially after thinking i was going to go to the rave on friday night and not, i really needed some socialization, with friends, and new people, and really needed some real time spent out of my apartment i got a really cute trucker hat that says “gay son” that i’m obsessed with and a really beautiful zine made by a trans guy about his gender journey (originally to raise money for his top surgery, which he had evidently already had, as he was standing there, fearlessly, with his shirt off) i honestly didn’t want to spend another $10 (i literally still have to make my rent in the next 3 days but telling myself i got this) but i think i just feel this intense awe when i see other trans guys post op shirtless, so free in a way i cannot imagine being so, naturally, i was blinded and overcome with this feeling, so i paid the $10 for the zine, and of course i do not regret it at all another vender had a kitten cafe with two 2 week old kittens inside (pictured) because they were too young to be left alone and while i was worried about them and the heat, they were quite cute

after being at the market for over 4 hours, af and i came back to my place, where i made us greek wraps with ground turkey and homemade tzatziki and cucumbers after we walked to h mart to get fresh tortillas i showed them the latest version of “boypop” which is so close i can taste the final mix (and am a bit mad i didn’t work on it today, but it’s fine, i was exhausted) they noticed the automation, the changes i’ve been making, i feel like i’ve actually been moving forward in my work this past week instead of just hyperfixating and going in circles, which is a danger i face in the finishing phase it’s hard to let go of a project, to let it be done i still listen to “king” and think of different harmonies i could record now with my current voice and i can sing whatever i want live, but the recording is done, the mix is done, there are no more changes to be made

i think, in the same way that i love people for their potential, and not always for who they are right now, i see a song as it’s potential, which is why i can imagine so much more than what is actually in front of me, and translate that symphony in my head into the daw, and i also why it’s so hard to let go, to stop, to step away from the infinity of changes and evolutions each project could still face sometimes it feels like i could just work on something forever and as i learn new things it will keep getting better and better, but at some point, i just have to let go

i wonder if my dad, too, ever sat alone in his first solo apartment journaling about his thoughts and reflecting on the ways his actions impacted other people mostly i hope not, because i don’t want to know if he did good things before he went bad, i want his fate to feel impossible for me to come to i already know that he read the tao te ching and the four agreements, things i’ve read as a young adult, that have brought me peace, that have taught me ways to move through the world, that don’t make sense when i think of him, and it makes me uneasy i don’t want to envision him being a morally good person and suddenly turning it makes me fear that i could still face the turn, when i want to believe that i have avoided it, that i am not capable of becoming a man like That

I'm writing this to you because I sort of don't have anyone else to talk about this. I hope you don't mind. I kind of got into a spat over the internet with the lqbtq people. Do you identify with that group? (you don't have to mention it if you're not comfortable disclosing it). The thing is I'm straight but I have considered myself to be an ally all this time but maybe not a very loud one you can say. I don't have any issues with them and I'm in no way homophobic (to each their own, do whatever the fuck you wanna) but they were making fun about straight people being lame or whatever which I found a little uncalled for. To me it feels like how can you expect to find an ally in me if you keep being so hostile towards me. Like they literally don't know anything about me yet I'm being bombarded with messages about how 'queer people will rule the world and the days of my freedom are numbered' (someone said this word to word) and stuff like that. I'm sorry if I'm trauma dumping but I feel quite embarrassed and upset about this and I can't help but hide in the anonymity of the internet.

As an ally (tbh, of any minority group), mostly they ask for respect. Just to be treated like normal human beings and seen as equals to those in more privileged positions. For a long time these groups of people have been unfairly treated as lesser than simply because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. I don't necessarily agree with the mentality of "an eye for an eye" - ex: heedlessly make fun of of heteros simply since there's little to no social repercussions in this current social climate - and yet I see where they're coming from. it is frustrating that cis-passing heterosexuals are so easily socially accepted and they have no idea how easy it is, how their identity is not seen as some kind of circus performance, how affirming that you are on the spectrum leads to a sudden interrogation, and how you abruptly become representative / role model / pinnacle of all people on the spectrum (which some people are accepting of and some aren't).

I think speaking poorly of people (even in a general sense) is unsavory and rarely does any good except in extreme situations. But, anyway, basing your perception of an entire group on a clustering of shitty individuals isn't fair either. Assumptions and conclusions of an entire group should not be made off a small sample size that is mostly likely not representative. Making general statements from a loud minority leads to misunderstandings. Plus, you can't change the minds of toxic individuals. Can't be a martyr to those that don't think they need saving. Most people wouldn't want to associate / surround themselves with shitty people regardless of their sexual and/or gender identity. Personal identity does not dictate behavior and shouldn't be treated as such.

tl;dr: If someone is acting like an asshole, they're probably just an asshole lol.

Being outside of the norm / nonconventional does not mean that you exempt from being narrow-minded or ignorant - by choice and/or lack of experiences. Being inside the norm / conventional doesn't excuse you from that either. Also, a lot of the time this type of aggressive behavior is simply projection from past traumas, not necessarily an attack on your person. I don't think you should take it that way, especially since this is online and behind a keyboard. Block and move on. Better to not engage. It will show them that this type of behavior is not acceptable and they won't be getting the satisfaction of a reaction from you as such reactions will only enforce their behavior.

my last prisoner oc LET'S GO. tbh it was really hard for me to come up with a design for her but now her design is definitely one of my favorites! idk i just really like how she looks :)

Personality: Reina is.. a very strange young woman. Unpredictable and chaotic, it's hard to say what her true intentions and motives are. It feels like she's plotting something, but at the same time it feels like she's only pretending and she's just messing around. She proudly claims to be the most dangerous prisoner here, she even confessed that she's actually a serial killer.. But for some reason, guards refuse to believe her. It's just so weird, almost all prisoners think that they did nothing wrong and they want to be voted innocent, meanwhile Reina is so desperate, she's basically begging Eiji and Miki to vote her guilty. Why would anyone do something like that? And they doubt that Reina is the type of person to hate herself for her crimes. What's even more interesting is that Reina actually wants to see if the whole "prisoners can't lie" thing is true and she wants to intentionally mislead Eiji and Miki with her MV. Why? Oh, she just wants them to know how "evil" she really is, like, she would really go that far to hide her crimes!.. But then why did she even say that she's a serial killer? Or maybe her crime is actually different and she just doesn't want the guards to see it? Maybe it's easier for her to say that she's a dangerous serial killer than confess to her real crime?

Which canon Milgram song she would cover: MeMe. Honestly, this is one of my favorite covers to imagine because I just know that it would sound amazing and also it just.. man, I think it would fit her character so well, but not because she's similar to Mikoto in any way, it's because Reina wants people to believe that she's more dangerous than she really is. It's like she actually wants to do the same thing Mikoto did with his song and go "haha you guys thought i was the most normal one here but y'all were so wrong :D", so of course, she would sing MeMe to make people believe there's more to her crime! Also as a bonus, I like to imagine her singing the "Why am I here, it must be a mistake" parts in, like, this "mocking" way, like she doesn't actually believe her own words and she knows well that all of this is just an act.. but hey, maybe people will actually find her scary now.

Which DECO*27 song she would cover: To be honest, it was a bit hard to find a song for her. Maybe I should've picked Liar Dance for her and not Naomi, but even though it definitely has her vibes, I don't think the voice that I imagine her to have would be good for that song. So I decided to go with Seigi no Turret! I think it's very Reinacore, especially when you read the lyrics ("Good lies and bad lies are all jumbled up", "Come on, be happy—it’s what you wished for", "I find myself wanting to hide my sadness", "Darkness was better") Though I have to admit that some lyrics sound a lot like Asahi, for example, "You want to throw away your things, but strangely start wanting other people's things" or "That's selfish, where's your mama? Inconvenience leaves you bawling like a baby" or "The stuff everyone else has is exactly what I don't have" 👀

If she could cover a song by a different Vocaloid producer, which one would it be: Again, I had to think a lot about this and I think I'll go with Shirokuro Reversi by shitoo. It's so fun to imagine her changing her voice a bit to sound like two different people and also yeah, Reina's moral complex is.. something and it really does feel like there are two different people fighting inside of her. Reina claims that she doesn't feel any guilt and that she's even proud of her crimes, but also.. sometimes it feels like she's this close to snapping because of how much she actually hates herself.

Her MV description:

Her MV would mostly have only black, gray and white colors, but it would become brighter closer to the end. Reina's image color also appears in some scenes.

The video starts with Reina and her friends going somewhere together. They're laughing, smiling and simply having a great time and enjoying each other's company. Suddenly, one of Reina's friends points at a girl standing there looking lost and confused. Reina's friends start whispering about something and she nods and agrees with them. The girl turns around and sees all of them standing right in front of her. She looks relieved and she starts explaining her situation, they agree to help her. The girl goes with them, but she starts noticing that the colors are becoming even darker and that there's something wrong about the way Reina and her friends smile. Right when she's about to leave, Reina's friends stop her and look at their leader, waiting for her orders. Reina simply nods again. All of them run away with the girl's bag and they leave her lying on the ground. It doesn't look like they killed her, but they definitely beat her up.

We can see that Reina and her friends did the same thing to many other people and they enjoyed it every time, especially Reina. The lyrics mention that Reina doesn't have a motive for doing all of this, she just likes spending time with her friends and they see her as their leader, so.. she can't really say no to them. We can also see them buying things with those people's money, like jewelry or clothes. And again, the lyrics say that Reina is actually doing great, it's not like she has problems with money or anything like that, she just thinks it's fun. Maybe she just likes making people suffer, haha..

Later we can see Reina getting a call from her friend. She gets really excited and right when she's about to leave the house, someone stops her. She just rolls her eyes and tries to come up with an excuse, but eventually this turns into a heated argument and Reina ends up running away in tears. But while she's running, she suddenly notices something. She sees footprints that are the exact same color as her image color. She slowly becomes more and more nervous and she decides to follow the footprints. The video also starts "getting its colors back" and it's not so monochrome anymore. Black, white and gray are completely gone when Reina finds her friends and sees that they beat someone up again, but this time it actually looks like that person is almost dead and you can see blood under them and it's also Reina's image color.

Before we can see how Reina feels about this, everything goes black and a second later the colors are back again and we can see Reina laughing with her friends and pointing at their victim. But then, her friends realize something and they look at Reina and they look at the victim again. Their face expressions change completely and they look so shocked, it even looks like they regret what they've done. They try to calm Reina down, but she only starts laughing louder and then she falls on the ground. Now she's crying and laughing at the same time. We can't actually see the victim, but we can see that person's sneakers covered in something that is most likely supposed to be blood, but again, it's not red and it's Reina's image color. The lyrics just keep repeating "I did it, I did it, I did it, I did it.." until the MV ends, but we can hear Reina saying "And I had fun" even though it's obvious that it's painful for her to say it and she's not being honest with herself.

You want to know more about her crimes? Well, she literally said that you'll have to find that out yourself, so.. but yes, she will tell you that she had more than 50 victims. Do you believe her though?

Of course, someone like her deserves a guilty verdict, right? That's what she thinks, at least.

She's very close with Yurika and she likes her a lot and thinks they're actually really similar. She also gets along with Aimi, but I wouldn't say that they're very close. She doesn't like Eiko that much though.. And just like Yurika, she's not that close with the male prisoners, but she likes to tease Akio and Asahi. She also thinks that the way Shun forgets everything so easily and says whatever comes to his mind is funny.

Riku and Reina's theme is "Guilt" or "Blame-shifting". Riku likes to say that what he did was for everyone's good and also, people actually encouraged him to do it. They wanted him to commit that crime, so he had no other choice. However, Riku's friends don't do anything like that in his MV, actually, the worst thing they've done in his MV is calling someone talented and accidentally making Riku have a breakdown because of that. Meanwhile Reina's friends do so many horrible things in her MV.. but she never actually mentions them. It's all about her being dangerous, it's all about her being this insane murderer, her friends don't have anything to do with it. So.. who is actually the guilty one here?

I miss doing theatre stuff a lot tbh, I had to drop drama because of completely overwhelming school stuff and I wasn’t doing well so I was super out of it every time anyway but theatre related shenanigans is always extremely fun and exciting.

Only problem is apart from all that other stuff, my social anxiety is NOT fun and being trans makes and made acting at the time really difficult. Like I couldn’t get cast in male roles because I’m not cis and every time I DID it felt like there was a comedic aspect to it like “oh there’s only two guys here.. guess one of us is going to have to play one of the boys haha that’s embarrassing right?”, but at the same time I didn’t want to play female characters either because obviously, dysphoria, not only from being perceived as a girl which I can kind of get over because I’m acting, but the costuming aspect? Non negotiable. Trans guys who dress fem, you’re all hot asf, but I am absolutely not one of them.

Just sucks a bit. I could definitely see myself improving on the social anxiety if I worked at it, but even though everyone was nice enough I always felt very self conscious as the only one who was very gender nonconforming, especially when it came to any kind of casting. Also, most of the people there mainly just did a lot of dance and were into the arts that way and joined because they liked some pop musicals on the side, which is awesome, but I was also the only one there who was just a nerd.

I’m mainly just writing this half as a vent and half because I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone talk about this much, specifically with the trans aspect and acting. For the record, despite the fact I did drama for a while this year and a lot of singing-related shenanigans (mainly choir) when I was like 9 to 11, I haven’t actually performed anything on a stage in like five years. Mostly just small-group stuff. So I guess that adds to the anxiety too. Who knows.

Last movie: Okay so I would love to say Glass Onion bc I loved that movie but it was actually Avatar 2 which I went to see on my birthday lmfao…. It was Not Great. As much as the last one was about colonialism (from a settler’s perspective…), this one kinda uses colonialism as a Fun Backdrop for a story that really matters: American family values & heteronormative gender roles. The kindest thing I can say abt it is that Geneva does not have an aquarium so at least that was fun

Last series: BBC’s His Dark Materials! Season 3! Having not read the books I’m still really enjoying it :3 The performances continue to be quite nice! I do think I preferred season 2 though, nothing excites me more than when Lyra began meeting the particle physicist C:

Currently craving: SEX oh my god I have been so so so so horny for months 😭😭 screaming crying. I just haven’t really had the motivation to meet anyone new to pursue anything but god has it made me horny. God!

we left off at kcon la and there’s been a few more things since then so next up, evnne!

before going to the actual show we visited the hybe exhibit at the grammy museum! it was tons of fun and super exciting to see all the stuff of our ults! (my mom ults svt + i ult &team)

after that was the actual show though! it was tons of fun~ I don’t usually go to venues this small so it was a nice change of pace! if a group you like performs at the vermont hollywood i 100% recommend going! it’s small but there’s not a bad spot, even from the bar you can see the whole stage super clearly. and ofc~ the guys were amazing! it was such high energy and super fun, especially as a star creator! (it was also the first concert i left with a different bias than i arrived with lol)

next up, youngji! we found out about this tour kinda on accident, but it was rlly fun! another small venue and lots of energy lol. she’s super funny and talented, overall a great concert!

next up, krazy super concert in long beach! tbh my feeling were a bit mixed lol. the performances were all great, but we only went day one and the delay for aespa was crazy ㅠㅠ still very fun but bc of that their set was cut short and we wound up leaving way later than we intended to. overall though, amazing! i’ll always be happy to see zb1 though lol

and then a bit more recently we have bdu! (can you tell i’m a star creator lol) it was super fun! same venue as evnne so the view was great but with a smaller crowd so it was super chill and fun! i’ve been following jay since like 2022 so it was amazing being able to see him perform live! (technically not for the first time but at kcon japan we were super far lol) 10/10 i love this venue lol

and the most recent~ the same weekend as bdu we saw xg! this was super different from the concerts we normally go to, not sure if it’s an xg thing or just a gg thing but the crowd was a bit older, more mixed gender wise, and had a lot of couples, lots with kids too which you don’t often see at kpop concerts lol. overall the show itself was great, lots of cover stages but also almost their whole discography! the girls were great and the crowd was super chill for the venue size lol
