#i thought of this a couple weeks ago on the bus a couple seats away from someone loudly coughing into the open air #i think something snapped and i decided to make a fuckin. medieval ass plague sona. horseman of pestilence fursona #this is also why i was asking abt animals with medical symbolism.. originally i wanted a two headed snake like the staff of caduceus #but it turns out thats actually hermes symbol. the real symbol for medicine is the rod of asclepius which looks pretty similar #the difference is that theres only one snake and its twined around a stick. ironically mercy from overwatch's weapons are named after #the caduceus despite the misconception LMAOOO #snakes were the most consistent medicine related animal i could find even across multiple cultures so it couldve really worked #if i could actually draw scalies.. one of my earliest sketches had a cobra with a syringe at the end of its tail like a rattlesnake #and it had markings similar to the syringe tube but i didnt have much else going on so i scrapped it #i was also recommended animals with less obvious ties to medicine like jellyfish and horseshoe crabs and learned something new ^_^#im not confident i could pull off a non-mammal furry but they were really good ideas i might put into smth else.. i also thought of #axolotls bc of their regenerative thing and growing back limbs but i think that would suit smth like a surgeon or amputation...#possums and bats were also an option bc theyre actually really resistant to most diseases like rabies but i feel like ppl wouldnt know that #if they saw it so it looks a little ironic at a glance. rabbits rats and mice were my second option bc of animal testing and lab rats #less obvious reference but the moon rabbit in chinese mythology is loosely connected to medicine bc it makes the elixir of life #otherwise lab mice in a pharmacy / modern medicine setting seemed fitting and jerboa tails remind me of cotton buds #and. ironically. jerboas are more closely related to elephants than rats and mice. can you believe it #my art #myart #my oc #sona #plaguesona #cottonbud #fur #furry art #character design #ref sheet #oc ref sheet

Got my first shrimp goby pair last week and this is my impression of them so far.

#Art #Fish #Fishblr #Fish art #My art #The fish is fine btw just a coward #Though I do think he might have gotten a small concussion from his two escape attempts #Jumped out of the tank literally at one in the morning and then an hour later at two in the morning it was a miracle I was awake during this #I have since covered the food holes in the lid with heavy objects #It gave me a heart attack on day two cuz I thought it was dead #I even poked it with a stick and it didn’t react at all #Luckily I left it in there and it was up and going about six hours later and has since been behaving normally #It is eating tho which is a good sign #Tested my paremetres and there’s nothing wrong with the water so ╮(╯_╰)╭#Shrimp is delightful to watch #She explores the tank a lot and is super cute #Idk what the sex of the fish is but I’m pretty confident that the shrimp is a girl #Has snapped once and I was unprepared for how loud they actually are in person #The fish cuddles the shrimp with its tail and they’re super cute #They gave me a stress for a few days but everything’s stable now so #10/10 aquarium pets #Aquarium stuff

True confidence in your dog being a pushover is pissing them off until they snarl at you, then continuing to piss them off while kissing the snarl, inches from sharp teeth that could end you.

I enjoy making Riley angry and daring her to bite me.

As a puppy, when she WAS very bitey, I'd poke her cheek into her teeth so if she bit at my finger she got her own cheek first. She would pretend to gnaw on my finger and snarl really viciously but really she was lightly gumming her own cheek.

#Riley forgets herself sometimes and has bitten people pretty severely on accident #Like she over-reaches for a treat in your hand and bites your fingers or jumps at you while you're going to her and collides #never intentional always accidental #but i think everyone has a scar from her #she nearly bit the end of my finger off going for a treat- her tooth went through the nail #but i still piss her off #now when you give her a treat you go 'gently riley' and she will soften her stance and still snap at it quickly #but mostly with her lips and not teeth #once she jumped up to hug my mother while my mother was bending down to hug her #and my mom ended up with a black eye from where Riley 'punched' her #which at first hurt and i was empathetic i promise #but it became HYSTERICAL when we tried to eat out and realized EVERYONE who saw her thought my father punched her #and when my mother bruises it lasts for over a month #so my father refused to eat out with us after a while because he was tired of being glared at #and 'our dog did it' just sounds like a bad lie #i suggested she get a shirt with that on it #back then she worked at a high school as a secretary and the police officer stationed in the school took her aside #and was like doing the 'this is a safe space. even for adults. you can tell me if there are problems at home.' trying to help her #and she had to explain to him 3 times it was the dog; then called me to explain; then i came over at dismissal with riley #and he met her and she tried to hug him and he understood finally #my dad is now able to laugh about this #riley

Loving your HC's! Regarding Charles' singing, I vaguely recall that in the comics Jubilee mentioned that he sings Sinatra in the shower. Whether he does it well is up to our imaginations XD TAS Charles can absolutely sing because his first VA (Cedric Smith) was a folk singer in the 1970's. went to a pride themed version of the life drawing classes i usually go to and the cool older gay guy who runs them put on a playlist of 90s gay club hits while we were drawing which naturally included pet shop boys so u know i was bopping to its a sin and west end girls and overall it was a certified jolly time AND i walked part of the way home with a fellow artist i.e. Made Successful Conversation With A Stranger so all in all this was a Pleasant Social Gathering that i will ride the high of for weeks to be honest
