Alliance
A short thing I found in my drafts that I forget about. I wrote it when I was overthinking the huntlow pinkie hold. It consumes me to this day. 💚💛
—-
When the scouts ran drills, none of them ever wanted to team up with Hunter. It was quite the opposite, in fact. You’d think that they’d be fighting over the honor of having the head of the coven and the Emperor’s nephew on their team, but no. Rather, they’d jump at the chance to gang up on him and Hunter couldn’t help but feel like they enjoyed getting to exclude him.
But he worked better alone, anyway. It made him work harder.
“All right team, line up!” announced Willow. “Gus is gonna rig up some illusions to test our reflexes! Let’s see if we can sniff out the real Gus and snatch some flags!”
The Entrails cheered in agreement as they ran to take their places on the field. Willow smiled at their excitement and followed suit, setting up beside Hunter who had managed to sneak away for a few hours to help run drills.
“Hey Hunter! Wanna be my partner?”
“Y-your partner?” he repeated, confused.
“Yeah!” she said with a mischievous smile. “You take the left, I take the right. If we work together, I bet we can do it in record time.”
“But we don’t... have to work together,” he said, in case she had forgotten her own instructions. “You don’t have to work with me.”
“I know I don’t have to,” she chuckled. “I want to, if you want to. You’re good at strategy; it’ll be fun.”
“Oh, yeah sure.” He said, warming up to the fact that she was serious. “I’d... like that.”
“Awesome!” Willow said with a bright smile, extending her pinky out to him. “Alliance?”
He looked at her gesture with confusion and the raised his hand to mirror hers and touched his pinky to hers. “Alliance.” He confirmed. Willow tugged his pinky, completing the promise as Gus and his illusions took to the skies and beckoned the team to come after him.
He was new, that’s why she picked him.
——
Amity took game night very seriously. The only person who took it more seriously was Hunter. Before they could begin any game, they each had to have the instructions memorized. Every dice roll, every moment, every turn has to be by the book. They prided themselves in knowing every technicality which only fueled their competitive nature even more.
“Go back four spaces and take three additional cards, Hunter!” Amity ordered, taking far too much delight in delivering the blow.
“No! I was so close to the jackpot space!” Hunter exclaimed in utter dismay as he took his punishment cards from the deck on the table.
“Amity please!” Gus groaned in desperation. “We were so close to being done! Why??”
“Because if anyone’s gonna be the champ it’s gonna be me!” She declared, furiously shaking the dice to power up her revenge roll.
“What’s up Gus? I thought you liked silly human board games.” Lus said.
“I do! But these two and their love of rules make it so hard to cheat!” Gus sighed. “Deception is half the fun.”
“Don’t worry Gus, Hunter is still the closest the victory circle,” assured Willow. “When we’re done we can go watch the clothes spin around in the dryer, that usually makes you feel better.”
“But I don’t have enough tokens to make it past the trick space!” Hunter said in a panic.
“Where did you guys even find this game?” Luz said under her breath, looking at the box.
“Hey, I’ve got plenty,” said Willow, putting the plastic coins in a pile. “You can use some of mine!”
“Oh no Willow, I couldn’t,” Hunter insisted, knowing she had worked hard for her collection. “You earned those.”
“We can share them,” she said with a shrug, having worked hard to earn them mostly to aggravate Amity. “We can work together.”
“Really? Uh, hold on lemme check the rule book I know know if it says that’s allowed...”
“Well, it doesn’t say it’s noooot,” she pointed out playfully, gathering her pieces and scooting closer to him to combine their loot. “Alliance?” She asked, sticking out her pinky. Her face donned a devious smile as Amity waited in suspense for Hunter to confirm or deny, certain their team up would dismantle everything she worked for.
“Alliance.” Hunter confirmed, grabbing her pinky with his own and furrowing his brow in determination, ready to make Amity pay for playing as the piece he wanted to play as.
She wanted to end the game, that’s why she picked him.

“… and then there’s supposed to be punch there too! It’s like all the flavors mixed together, so it’s looks kinda gross but trust me it’s actually really good!” Vee continued to happily explain as the group walked down the sidewalk to her friend’s house. They had all been invited to a party and Vee and Luz were trying to cram as much information about human realm parties to their friends as possible before they arrived. For the most part, they were all excited. They had been working hard and could use a break, and of course Gus had brought his notebook to take down as much as he could. But Willow couldn’t help but notice how quiet Hunter was as he dragged his feet beside her.
“You okay, Hunter?” Willow whispered and he flinched, as though he had been so zoned out he forget where he was. “You look… sick?”
“Sick?”
“I mean, you still look really nice,” she said quickly, knowing how much time he had spent making the jean jacket he was wearing. He looked more than just nice, if she was being honest, but she had a feeling that wasn’t what was plaguing his mind. “But you look nervous.”
“I mean… maybe I am, a little,” he admitted, hoping the others couldn’t hear. “I’ve just… never been to a party before, let alone a human one. I-I don’t know what I’m supposed to say or when I’m supposed to say something or if there’s a certain place I’m supposed to sit or-.”
“Hey, it’s okay,” she assured him with a gentle giggle. “I’ve never really been to a party before either.”
“You? Really?” He practically gasped. “But you’d be so fun at parties!”
“Aw, thanks,” she blushed, subconsciously adjusting her hair clip. “But yeah, I’ve never been to a party that wasn’t a birthday party, and even then it was only me and Gus. But this sounds like it’ll be fun.”
“Really? It sounds terrifying to me,” Hunter gulped, feeling like her was turning paler.
“Well, I’m really glad you’re going,” she said sweetly, knowing he hardly had a choice in the matter. He had just gotten on better terms with Vee and turning down an invitation didn’t seem like a good way to keep that positive momentum going. His heart leapt at Willow’s words, though he was sure it was just her being nice. He hardly expected to see much of her after they arrived.
He was sure the moment they walked in, everyone would be drawn to Willow. How could they not be? She was kind, funny, charismatic and not that he noticed but she looked absolutely stunning in the green sweater she had just bought, the way it made her eyes pop even in the dim moonlight. She was interesting and fun, they’d probably form a line for the chance to talk to her. He assumed he would gravitate to a spot in the shadows, maybe see if there were any books to read. Luz had mentioned that parties where the perfect time to impress someone and while Hunter pretended not to know what she was implying, he couldn’t imagine him being impressive in this type of social setting.
“I’m actually a little nervous too,” Willow said softly and Hunter looked at her in surprise once again. “I mean, I don’t know anyone there.”
“Well, you know me,” he said simply.
“That’s true,” she smiled, glancing up at him illuminated by the streetlights. “Um, would you wanna… hang out at the party?”
“Me? A-are you sure?” Hunter said, clearing his throat. She had plenty of other options.
“Yeah,” she said. “If it’s boring or awkward we can at least talk to each other. I like talking to you.”
“Oh… I like talking to you too,” he said, stopping at the edge of the driveway as the others walked in the front door. Vee greeted her friends with open arms and proceed to introduce Luz, diving into their story about being distant cousins or something. He sighed, his chest felt tight all of a sudden imaging all the people in the house. “I just…”
Willow sensed his discomfort.
“Hey, no worries,” she said. “How about if one us wants to leave early, we walk home together?”
“Really? You wouldn’t mind?”
“Of course not,” she said. “We can always think of an excuse to leave. I’d rather be walking with you than at a party without you.”
“Oh.”
“And Luz mentioned there might be games and we’ve always been a great team at games,” she smiled. She did not bring up one game Luz had mentioned in particular, mostly as a joke, where two people spend seven minutes together. She didn’t necessary plan on participating, but if she did she’d want Hunter as her partner. “Or if someone talks to one of us and we don’t know what to say we can help each other out.”
“I’d really like that,” Hunter said with a sigh of relief, his hands fidgeting at his sides. Willow smiled, happy to see he was okay with her idea. She brought up her pinkie and offered it to him with a bright smile.
“Alliance?”
He looked at her, still confused as to how she was so content to spend the whole night with him. But he couldn’t say it wasn’t an ideal situation for him.
“Alliance.” He said, linking his pinkie to hers. But this time instead of releasing it after they sealed the promise, she brought their hands down to their sides and used it to lead him inside. He knew everyone who saw them would assume they were together but he did not remove himself from her grasp.
She didn’t want to talk to strangers, that’s what she did it.
She didn’t want to get lost, that’s what she did it.
She knew he would hide in a dark corner without her, that’s why she did it.
She was was worried he’d say something dumb and blow their cover, that’s why she did it.
Hunter’s mind flooded with excuses for why she did not drop his hand and stood so close to him without hesitation. Because he couldn’t fathom the reason for their alliance was because she wanted him on her side because she just wanted to be with him. She could pick anyone, but she kept picking him.

57 - The Gemini Portland House
Tumblr media
Part 58
Gemini Runaway
Tag list ask to be added @icefrye19 @secretdreamlandmentality
"What could he bloody want with you? You died and became a vampire." Klaus asked, throwing his hands up with us still sitting in the bar confused.
Tapping my fingers on the counter I eyed the waitress while she dropped her blood into my glass leaving the room once again. "I don't know honestly. The only reason he would want to see me is because I am technically the Coven leader now."
"Vampire - uh correction heretic nonetheless." He raised a finger towards the ceiling.
"Still doesn't excuse him from being concerned about his life I suppose."
He asked, raising a brow. "How so. To me it would seem you are free from the torture you're family has put you through."
"I have but…" I tilted my head to the side of him. "Now we have to think about our daughters. This doesn't need to turn into a situation with Dahlia."
He placed his hand on top of mine. "And it won't, love. We will handle this like we do all our other enemies."
"Hold up we can't just go charging in full force. We have to figure out what he wants and if we sense danger we bolt." I explained intertwining my fingers with his.
His gaze meets mine. "What are we going to do about our girls?"
"Just leave them with Caroline. I don't think bringing them with us would be a good idea." I pointed out getting down from my barstool. Klaus laid down a hundred dollar bill following me outside. We strolled through the park nearby seeing a lock of blonde hair blowing around in the wind.
Missy was going down a slide. Alina and Hope were on the swings then they switched to the monkey bars swinging like crazy. "Mommy!" Missy ran toward us where she jumped up into my arms giggling.
"Oh hey baby.." I grunted shifting her where she was laying against my chest.
Klaus walks towards Caroline where I used my vampire hearing their conversation. "Caroline, we need you to watch the girls while we make a trip."
"Of course. Can I ask why?" She made a face when he pulled her away from the other two kids.
"Her uncle wants to see her. We're going to go find out why. But we can’t risk him learning of them." He explained tilting his head in the direction of our daughters.
The blonde vampire tucked hair behind her ear. "Yeah, yeah. I can do that for you guys. Just be safe."
"Hey little witch, mommy and I have to take a trip. You and your sisters are staying with aunt Caroline." He walked back to me picking up Missy bouncing her in his arms for a few minutes before sitting her on the ground.
The drive to Portland was silent which makes me uneasy yet not as much as I thought until we pulled up in the driveway. Klaus got out of the car first seeing an empty field in front of us. "Are you sure this is the place?" He sent me a confused glance.
"Yep. Watch this.." Stomping forward at the edge of the driveway I pressed my hands against the barrier that I could feel. I breathed in slightly before a house was visible in front of us. "See told ya. It's a witch house, remember."
He clicked his tongue walking up the front porch. I kept looking around with my guard up. He opened the door about to step inside but smacked into the barrier. "Uh Rae!"
"Let me try…dang it!" I stepped forward trying to siphon it but it knocked me backwards luckily he caught me in his arms.
"Guess they are serious about no one finding this place. Let's see if someone's here to invite us in." He helped me to my feet where we walked down the stairs holding hands. We circled the grounds for a while until I felt someone watching us.
Gripping his hand in mine I spun around on my feet creating some fire in my other hand. "Incendia stalker!"
"I thought we had moved past this whole hating me thing, little niece." I threw the fire ball before someone appeared in front of us shortly after it disappeared.
Getting in a fighting stance Klaus glared at him. "Unfortunately no, mate. It's rather hard to drop a grudge when someone tries to kill you."
"You said you wanted to talk, why?" I snapped at him boring my teeth.
My uncle walked forward dusting his hands off on his shirt. "I wanted to know how the hell we are all still alive. Because as far as I can remember if the leader dies so does everyone else. How is this possible?"
"Are you dumb, uncle Joshua!" I snapped at him revealing my fangs letting them break through my mouth and the veins appeared under my eyes. "I'm a heretic now. Witch and vampire."
His eyes scanned over my face where I could see a scowl cross his features. "You aren’t fit to be the leader then..not unless your baby survived. That's how I can sense them…you lied to me."
"So sorry to disappoint but they didn’t. Let's go, Raelyn." Klaus grabbed me by my arm trying to walk away.
Uncle Joshua raised his hand, freezing Klaus in his tracks. "Actually I don't think so. Do you take me to be a fool, Mr. Mikaelson. Because I used to be the leader of an entire coven. I can tell when there's a new energy of magic that enters our bloodline. Just like I know Raelyn can."
"You can't do this to me!" Klaus growled showing him his hybrid face.
Joshua clasped his hands together coming over to me. "Actually I can. Now either you can tell me the truth and we can do this without violence or I will be forced to take action to find your children." He opened his hands like we did when he shifted the leadership magic into me.
"Invidia!" Throwing my hand up I made my uncle groan, grabbing his head in agonizing pain.
He raised one hand where I winced, collapsing onto my knees in pain too. "Pondas!...Don't get cocky, little niece. I know every spell there is. I can be stronger than you."
Baring my teeth together I managed to push through the pain chanting another spell in his direction,  attempting to remove his magic from his body. "Phasmatos tribum, exum sue, redem su pas quo - ahhh!"
"Montes!" Uncle Joshua launched me across the yard where my shoulder popped out of its socket until I popped it back in.
"Per se qui e fratical toi, per se qui e total toi." Doing a barrel roll away from him with my vamp speed I clutched my hands into a fist creating a ring of fire around him. Vamping over to Klaus I grasped his hand in mine siphoning away the spell he had put on him.
My uncle snapped his fingers undoing my spell. "Solvet. Raelyn, enough of these games. I am looking out for our blood. You may not be linked to the rest of us, but that doesn’t protect the rest."
"How many times must I say that I don't give a crap about anyone else. My life went to hell because of you, uncle Joshua!" Raising my voice at him the trees around us began swaying like crazy when I clutched my hands into fists at my sides. "You made my mother so scared that she left the family when they called her an outcast. Then you tricked me and my twin brother to Merge without telling us what would happen to one of us. You made me murder my brother and the only way he came to life was because my mother sacrificed her life so we could live together. So you know what I will do, the one thing that scares you the most!"
Klaus made a move towards me knitting his brows. "Raelyn, what are you about to do?"
"I'm going to release someone who he is so terrified of, Kai Parker." I snapped my fangs at him.
Uncle Joshua gasped, stomping up to me. "You wouldn't dare. He is a psychopath  - ah!"
"Yeah but I am going to find a spell to unlink the ones I do care about. After that then it wouldn't matter to me cause I won't let anyone hurt my daughters!" Holding my hand up I gave him a headache with my magic.
Joshua scoffed. "You don't know the spell."
"Wanna bet. I've been inside your head!" I barked back to him. "Sanguinem filio, sanguinem effurgarex perpetuum. Sanguinem filio, sanguinem effurgarex perpetuum. Phesmatos filio, phesmatos effurgarex perpetuum."
He threw his hands up. "You may know the spell but the Ascendant is with Jo. Plus you need Bennett blood and a celestial event."
"Josette trusts me and…" Waving my hand I created the Ascendant in my palm. "I bet there are a few more Bennett witches alive that would be willing to help. So either you stop this hunt for my daughters or I unleash your worst nightmare."
Joshua attempted to reach and grab it but I tossed it towards Klaus who vamped far away with him playing serious keep away. "Urgh! Raelyn, your daughters are the next generation. Especially the twins. Even by some miracle if you break the Coven tradition you would still be putting them in danger."
"Not as much danger as long as I stay the hell away from you!" I threatened him waving my hand again making the key to the prison world disappear.
Klaus looped his fingers through mine where we headed back toward the car. "Can't say it has been a pleasure seeing you again, Joshua."
"Klaus, is it?" He called making him stop and I turned my head feeling my uncle snap my neck with magic where Klaus caught my body. "I know you will find this hard to believe. But I am doing this to protect my family."
Klaus vamped forward choking him by the throat. "Ironic thing here Joshua is that I could snap you like a twig without blinking and be perfectly fine. And then walk away knowing my family is safe."
"But you won't…for her." Joshua attempted to grab his hand choking for air. "You know if you did…she would hate you forever. Cause if I die…then her only family member she…cares for Josette will too."
Klaus released his grip dropping the older man before he gently lifted Raelyn up into his arms bridal style. "Just know when she finds this unlinking spell you will be the first person I come after for everything you've done to her!" He vamped to the car laying his wife in the passenger seat knowing she would wake up shortly and they would be back with their little girls soon enough.

Man, you know what hit me while watching For the Future, and I didn’t say anything about it at the time but it’s been circulating in my head since then?
Amity saying to Boscha “This is a bit much, even for you!”, in comparison to her father a few episodes back saying “this is too much— even for you.” The similarity in structure, the difference in delivery, you know.
And I keep thinking about the theory that Alador and Odalia were pushed to marry by their parents, and about how Amity was pushed to be friends with Boscha, and imagining a bad future where Luz didn’t show up and they ended up in a similar position.
It’s not going to be that bad, right? Sure, Amity never really *liked* Boscha, but you don’t have to like someone to be their friend, you just have to be around them, do things with them, listen when they talk. Having a wife will be like that, right? She’ll just… do the things she’s supposed to do, and live alongside her. It’ll be fine.
The wedding is just another formal event her parents throw, with the complication of Boscha’s parents being part of it too, and constantly trying to one-up hers. In her final act of rebellion, Amity sends Willow an invitation. She doesn’t come. Amity closes a door.
Odalia lightens up on urging Amity to join the Emperor’s Coven when she realizes that as the only one of their kids who follows in Alador’s footsteps magic-wise, it’d be better for her to train to take over the factory someday. She can’t say she exactly enjoys working under her father, since he only ever talks about work, and not even with the spark of interest in his eyes she remembers him having when she was little. Her mother spends most of her time sniping at her mothers-in-law and asking when grandkids are coming, though, and the twins are gadding about through high society and making fun of her whenever they can, so he’s kind of the family member she’s closest to by default.
Things don’t really go well. Boscha thinks the way their mothers constantly fight is hilarious, and she definitely enjoys the status that comes along with the Blight name, but she definitely doesn’t love the way her new in-laws expect her to wind potions skills into the family business or else just stay out of the way. She wants to win trophies, not be one. She’s also not stupid, and she knows Amity doesn’t love her— knew since long before the wedding, but she hoped that would change over time, and as it continues not to she’s building up an intense resentment. They were meant for each other, why can’t Amity see it? She’s being the queen of Bonesborough society, they’re on top together just like it was in high school only better, but Amity still doesn’t love her, and it’s not fair.
Some years on, they have a daughter. She’s the absolute light of Amity’s life, but by the time she’s toddling Boscha is already starting to take out some of her resentment on her. She pushes her too hard, she makes fun of the way she garbles words. The baby’s  just being a baby, and Amity tries to get Boscha to lighten up, but Boscha says she’s just having fun and being a mom, which Amity isn’t because she’s working all day, and she doesn’t have a comeback for that.
Amity’s trying to calm Boscha down, taking her to matches when she has a rare night off and they can get a sitter, but it just prickles at her more— she wants to be on the field, not watching; she wants to be on a real date with her wife, not an awkward attempt at appeasement.
It’s all eating away at Amity. She looks into her daughter’s three beautiful gold eyes and she’s terrified her little girl will feel like this, someday.
She’s sleepwalking through her days, she feels like one of her mother’s ghosts. She’s working, because it’s the only thing she really understands anymore. She’s elbow-deep in the beta design for the 3.6, and she nearly jumps out of her skin when her father puts a hand on her shoulder.
He has a bottle of hard apple blood. They go sit on the roof, and they talk.
She can’t say she sees a way through to happiness, but at least she’s not alone. That’s something, isn’t it?

Ok, I’m on a bit of a Jasper/Alice binge and have just read your story Darkest Hours (I love the way you describe Jasper’s gift!)…in the story Jasper says something like Alice won’t leave his sight again, between NM and Eclipse do you think Jasper let’s Alice leave his side? Is he the overprotective fool that we see in the Eclipse battle the whole time? PS I will stop harassing your asks soon. I just love your ideas and your fics!
Yey, another question! I love to answer these so you're absolutely not harrassing me. Feel free to continue asking, if you want to :-D Also, thank you for reading Darkest Hours, I'm glad you enjoyed it :-)
But now let's talk about the aftermath of Alice's New Moon trip to Volterra:
Yes, the events of New Moon in my head totally triggered the 'overprotective fool' in Jasper. He and Alice have a bond that would probably be considered an 'unhealthy form of attachment' in the real world; there is no Alice without Jasper and no Jasper without Alice. This is absolutely and shamelessly part of the reason why I love them so much, however, it also means that being faced with Alice's mortality is just as frightening for Jasper as confronting his own (or even worse).
On top of Jasper's newfound realisation that—after over five decades of relative security—loosing his mate is a very real possibility, we have the Volturi. While the other Cullens were introduced to them as "Carlisle's old vampire royalty friends that keep our world in order", Jasper started his second life with cautionary tales of the dark Volturi horsemen. Stories of how one newborn out of line or one too obvious kill could be enough to bring them back to 'clean up'. Maria ingrained the consequences of exposure into him from the very first moment on. Therefore, from Jasper's point of view, them just letting Edward and Bella go does not make much sense. I am convinced he considered the possibility that Edward, Bella and Alice were followed or that the Volturi would send someone after them later on to clean up their whole coven.
So, taking both of these factors into account, I headcanon that his behavior somewhat reverts back to where it was when they first joined the Cullens. He has a hard time letting Alice out of his sight, doesn't trust anyone else to keep her safe, and doubts her capabilities to protect herself. Yet, unlike back in 1950, 2006-Alice has a life she cannot wait to get back to. This makes keeping tabs on her more difficult. For example: In the book version of Eclipse, Alice goes to school while Jasper has already graduated. So what else can he do than follow her to school and securing the perimiter while she sits in class?
Alice tolerates his behavior even though she finds it entirely unnecessary because she feels bad for what she put him through. However, her annoyance starts to accumulate over the three months between New Moon and the newborn fight in Eclipse. In my opionion, the snippet we get of her calling him an 'overprotective fool' in the aftermath of the battle is just an example of her patience with him slipping. I also headcanon that his wasn't the end of the topic. Some time after the fight, Alice and Jasper probably had an argument about this, which ended with them setting some ground rules on how to move forward (like e.g. Jasper dialing back on his hovering but Alice conceding that she will immedaitely share any vision she gets of the Volturi with him).
So, to sum up, yes Jasper was in 'overprotective fool-mode' even before the battle in Eclipse and he hardly let Alice out of his sights. This eventually annoyed her which led to the snappy comment on the battle field as well as to an argument that we do not see in the books or movies.

Tell me your secret
Part one: The Secret
Part two: The Secret’s Out
Part three: Secrets and Lies
Part four: Sick of Secrets
Part five: The Last Secret
Tumblr media
“Carlisle, you need to see this.” Edward calls out of the door.
Carlisle appears and glances between the three of you, his eyes settling on you, holding a blood bag in your hand, the others scattered on the floor, your face covered in blood.
“How are you feeling Y/N?” His eyes softening as he can sense some pain in you.
“I feel fine. Demetri however...” you trail off and look up at Demetri, who is still rubbing his hand.
“Carlisle, Y/N appears to have a power.” He walks towards you, holding out his hand. “Y/N do you think you could do it again?”
You focus on his hand and reach out your own towards him, but when they touch, nothing happens.
Edward and Demetri exchange looks, both frowning.
“I think she may need some motivation. Edward, I need you to attack me.” Demetri states, a smirk pulling at his lips, and you begin to panic. At what would be lightning speed if you were human, Edward moves towards Demetri, but you rush out of the bed towards him, faster than him in your newborn state. Before you know it your hand is on Edward’s arm and then he is on the floor.
“Fascinating.” Carlisle laughs as he claps your victory.
Edward huffs as he pulls himself up off the floor. “For you maybe. It’s not quite so fascinating when it happens to you.”
“It’s like Kate’s gift?” Carlisle asks, referring to one of their Denali cousins who can radiate electricity around her body, giving an electric shock with her touch.
“Not quite, but similar. It’s a much sharper feeling, like a bolt of lightning flashing through you.” Edward replies, having felt both gifts now first hand. The two of them then begin discussing your gift and how they can help you control it, as you wonder about this Kate, intrigued that they know someone who can possibly help you with this strange power.
Demetri appears by your side, pulling you toward him, taking in your scent. “Oh how I’ve missed you.” He whispers, and a small shiver runs down your spine. His voice and his scent are more intoxicating to you now, and the mere thought of Demetri standing this close to you warms your body.
“But I don’t smell like me anymore surely?” You ask, worried that just as your feelings have intensified, that Demetri’s will have faded now you are no longer human.
“You smell better.” He reassures you, and you frown. He turns you so you are facing him, and he cups your face with one hand. “We are mated, soul mates, yes?” You nod. “As a human, I was drawn to your scent as you are to mine, but also to your blood, which often made our...closeness more difficult. Now, I am still drawn to your scent, but I can your scent is like...an antidote, to anything and everything. Does that make sense my love?”
You reach up to hook your arms around his neck and give him a soft kiss on his lips. “It makes perfect sense. Also helps me understand what I’m feeling right now. Being this close to you, I feel so calm, my throat doesn’t burn as much.” Demetri smiles at this. “It’s our bond my darling, we will have that effect on each other.”
He pulls you into a hug and you rest your head on his chest, before looking over to where Edward and Carlisle are standing, the latter now on the phone.
“Thank you for your help Eleazar, we will see you soon.” Carlisle says as he hangs up the phone and turns to face you all.
“Eleazar and Kate are coming to see us, to help Y/N N work out her gift. I’m going to let Esme know, we will go and hunt before they arrive. Edward, Demetri, do you think you can help Y/N hunt, she will need all her strength to practise her power.” Carlisle asks as he turns to Edward, who nods.
“Hunt? You mean like animals?” A worried look as formed on your face as you realise what you need to do.
Demetri scrunches his face in disgust. “I believe so my love, but it is up to you. Whatever you wish to do, I will do too.”
You think carefully. Whilst the thought of human blood as you salivating at the mouth, the thought of killing someone makes your stomach tie up in knots. Animal blood sounds disgusting, but killing an animal versus killing a human sounds far more palatable.
“Demetri, let’s go hunt some animals” Demetri visibly grimaces at this, but quickly changes his expression to a smile and gestures for you to lead the way.
Tumblr media
“I am so impressed with your hunting skills today my love.” Demetri states as you return through the Cullen front door. He puts an arm around your waist and gives you a quick squeeze.
“Mountain lions aren’t as fast as I thought they would be. I’m sorry you weren’t able to catch much Demetri, you must be starving.” You look up at him, a glint of teasing in your voice, waiting for him to take the bait. He laughs, knowing exactly what you are trying to achieve, but the competitor in him won’t let it go.
“I just don’t understand. I’m one of the best hunters in Volterra and THE best tracker in the world. How can I not hunt a deer.” He throws his arms to his side and his frustration is evident on his face.
“You could’ve shared my elk, there was plenty to spare.” You take his hand and smile sweetly.
“Hmmph. Yes well, I wanted something of my own.”
Your conversation is cut short by Carlisle.
“Eleazar and Kate are nearly here, should we go outside to practise?” He motions for you to follow him back out the front door.
Tumblr media
“Carlisle dear friend, it’s nice to see you when your life is not in imminent danger.” Eleazar greets his friend with open arms and they laugh together.
“Eleazar, Kate, it’s so wonderful to see you both again. Thank you for coming to help Y/N. Y/N...” Carlisle holds his arm out to you and you make your way to his side, suddenly anxious.
“Y/N this is Eleazar and Kate, both dear friends to our coven, cousins if you will from Denali.” You smile at the dark haired man you now know to be Eleazar, you vaguely recognise him from the meeting with the Volturi, although there were so many visitors in those weeks that the faces became blurry. However, Kate you remember. You remember the pain on her face at seeing her sister destroyed, her screams of pain and anguish etched in your mind.
“It’s so nice to meet you both.” You nod at both of them, and Eleazar holds out a hand in greeting. You offer him your hand and he clasps it with both his hands, looking deeply into your eyes. “You are very powerful Y/N, I can feel the energy running through your hands.”
Your eyes widen in surprise. “Oh” is the only sound you can form.
“What do you mean by very powerful?” Demetri asks.
“Allow Kate to demonstrate.” Eleazar gestures for Kate to step forward, and she holds her hand out to Demetri. He hesitantly reaches out to touch her hand.
“Arghhh” he screams and falls to the floor.
A growl slips through your lips and suddenly a crackling noise leaves your fingers, then Kate is also on the floor groaning.
“Did you know that was going to happen?” Kate growls at Eleazar.
“I had my suspicions. Like I said VERY powerful.”
“What happened?” You ask them both.
“Y/N, Kate’s power is limited to someone touching her. It started in her hands, and then she worked hard to have it be her whole body if needed.” Eleazar explains.
You nod, now remembering the meeting with the Volturi and how Kate’s power affected Garrett when he tried to hold her back.
“However...” Eleazar continues, “your power is not limited to touch. You are able to inflict this from a distance. As demonstrated by that.” He gestures to Kate who is massaging at her temples trying to dissipate the pain in her head before standing up.
“What we need to work on is being able to use this power without your mate being injured as an incentive.” Carlisle suggests, looking to Eleazar.
“I second that!” Demetri announces from beside you, laughing.
“Sorry” you apologise as you look up and him, he shakes his head and places a kiss to your head.
Eleazar nods. “I would also be interested to see what sort of distance her powers work from.”
You all put together a plan, the training beginning immediately. Demetri joins in, having trained hundreds of new guards in Volterra in basic fighting skills, and feeling anxious that your gift will make you a target.
Whilst you are practising your gift on Emmett with the help of Kate, Demetri pulls Carlisle to the side.
“We have to keep this from the Volturi. They CANNOT find out about her gift. Aro will stop at nothing to have her.” Demetri whispers.
Carlisle nods. “I know. I had the same thought. I have asked Alice to watch the Volturi carefully, so if they find out, we will know.”
Tumblr media
After a week of training Emmett begins to grow tired of always losing to your power, deciding to go hunt with Rosalie and rest, so Jasper volunteers to help.
You’ve moved the training to a field, and begin with Jasper standing a few feet in front of you.
“Come and get me newborn”
Jasper winces in pain but doesn’t drop to the floor like you were expecting. You frown and try again, but he takes a few steps back.
“Try again Y/N” Eleazar prompts. “Think about what we said, visualise it.”
You take a deep but unnecessary breath and focus on your fingers, you imagine the power, your power sparking out of them towards Jasper. Then you focus on Jasper, his eyes hardened, goading you to attack him. He drops on the floor to his knees, wincing in pain, but not writhing in pain like he would if you touched him or if you had thought Demetri was in danger.
“I can’t do it.” You huff, arms dropping to your sides.
Demetri rushes to stand in front of you, he holds a hand on side of you holding onto your arms and gently shakes you. “You. Can. Do. Anything” he stares into your eyes, willing you to see yourself the way that he sees you. “I love you Y/N, I believe in you” then he kisses you quickly “show him what you can do” he whispers as he moves out of your way.
This time Jasper increases the distance even further, now standing a few hundred yards away.
You fix him with your glare, and again think of the power leaving your fingers, sparks reaching across the clearing to Jasper. I love you rings out in your head and you force your hands forward, willing your power to reach the distance. Almost immediately Jasper is on the floor, his body twitching from the electrical jolts circulating through his body. You bring your hands back and let them hang by your side, and after a couple of minutes Jasper slowly returns to a standing position, clearly exhausted.
“Wow” he mutters.
“She is pretty wow isn’t she?” Demetri smirks as he returns to your side. “Told you” he whispers.
Tumblr media
On their last day Eleazar calls the whole Cullen house to the clearing for a final demonstration of what you have learnt.
“Jasper has given us some pretty high expectations considering the state he returned home in. If he could sleep I think he would have been comatose for days” Rosalie announces, giving you a small thumbs up of support.
“Who would like to be a volunteer?” Kate asks the crowd gathered before them.
“Why don’t we do a real test? Three of us?” Jasper suggests.
You visibly gulp at the idea, but Eleazar nods, clapping his hands together. “Excellent idea!”
You are forward and look out at the vampires standing a few hundred yards in front of you; Edward, Emmett and Jasper.
Closing your eyes to focus, your fingers dance in anticipation, small sparks flutter between them until you open your eyes, darting between the three figures. Taking one final, deep breath, you reach your hands forward. Emmett and Edward look cocky, neither of them expecting you to be able to target the three of them at once, Jasper looks anxious, the pain from your previous encounter coming back to him.
The three of them drop to their knees simultaneously, Jasper falling to his side twitching, Edward’s face twitching in pain before falling backwards, then Emmett, falling forward flat on his face.
The sound of cheering from behind you brings you out of your trance and you do a small bow before you are enveloped into a Demetri hug.
“I’m so proud of you.” He whispers in your ear before kissing you deeply.
Tumblr media
The vampire group are so focused on their friend and her gift that they do not notice the stranger in the shadows. The stranger who recognised the figures before him. The missing Volturi tracker, the mind reader and the one who can see the future. Even better than all of those though, the newborn with the extraordinarily powerful gift.
Aro will love her. He thinks to himself before rushing away through the trees, his gift hiding him on his journey until he reaches the doors of Volterra.
Tumblr media
“Tell me your secret” Aro demands, holding his hand out to the stranger who claims to bring valuable information.
He holds the stranger’s hand in his own and his eyes widen in glee as he sifts through his thoughts.
“Brothers, we are going on a trip”.

Enemies From The Start But Lovers For Eternity
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Victoria and her newborn army, the Quiluete tribe have seen a small increase in the teens that have been prompted to phase.
One of those being Y/N L/N. If Sam Uley could choose who he wanted to shift, it would not be him.
He was tempermental, even before the shift, now it was multiplied by three, something they didn't have time to deal with. He lashed out, had a disregard for the rules and had a fierce hero complex. He believed with his new abilities, he'd save everyone.
What Sam Uley had to admit though, was his Wolf was absolutely stunning.
His coat was almost pure white, small flecks of light brown covering his body. His paws feathered with black fur and his snout a dark black.
Y/N snorted.
"Fantasizing about me, Uley?"
Sam growled in warning, snapping his jaws at the smaller wolf.
"Don't start, this is serious,"
Y/n rolled his eyes at Paul, pausing when a sickly scent washed over him and poisoned his senses. It was chemical and synthetic, tingling unpleasantly.
Paul pushed him from behind.
"Hurry up, newbie,"
A growl rose in his throat, turning sharply to snap at his packmate's face.
"Stop it!"
Sam made his way between them, locking eyes with Y/N.
"Enough or you go back home,"
With a final roll of his eyes and defiant growl, he turned around and headed towards their destination, shaking his head in desperation to shake of the awful scent.
When they got to a hill, Y/N almost slipped when they went down the steep dip, nipping at one of the others when they snorted.
Before them was the Cullen Coven, The Cold Ones.
On instinct, his hackles rose and he let out a low growl, shaking his head when his head filled with the pack making snide remarks about his control.
"I'm fine!" He insisted, not looking into their eyes, instead focusing on the people infront of them.
He disregarded most of what was being said, out of naivety. The Cold Ones can't be that strong.
"He's not paying attention,"
Y/N looked to his packmates, only to realise he was talking to him.
Y/N scoffed.
"I don't need some old dead guys to teach me how to fight."
The ginger echoed what he thought, gaining a tense look from the long haired vampire. He ignored it though, raising his head defiantly.
"Come over here then," a burly one suggested, pretending to crack his knuckles. "I can show you,"
Y/N put a step towards the boarder, earning an intense growl from Sam.
"It's the only way he'll learn." The blonde one said. "I wont hurt him too much,"
The cockiness infuriated him, so in one large leap he was over to their side, growling at the blonde.
In one fluid motion he attacked, don't give your enemy time to breath.
Yet, Y/N was naive. Young. Inexperienced.
That rule didn't apply to vampires, they don't need recovery time. They don't need time to breath.
Jasper was two steps ahead, blocking and hitting him in all his weak spots.
Then, with a hand on a furry throat, her launched him and the wolf into the ground, a whimper coming from the white wolf.
Jasper turned, explaining where he went wrong before turning back to the shifter, fully prepared to lecture him too, but he froze.
Their eyes connected and for Y/N, the world tilted on its axis. Everything fell away. This person, the one on top of him, was his. He must protect him or he fails. He is important. The only thing that matters.
Meanwhile, the pack were filling his head with shouts and curses.
"Is that possible?"
"What is--"
"No fucking way--"
"Y/N! You--"
"He imprinted," Edward filled in, looking to the Cullens.
"But--" Bella began, looking to Alice. "Alice is--"
Jasper stumbled slightly, running across the field and to Alice, grabbing her close by the waist as if setting claim on himself and her.
Y/N had rolled onto his paws, shaking his head in confusion. He didn't have to look at the vampire again to know the feeling of rejection and emptiness that coursed through him like lightning. Sharp, quick yet so strongly painful.
"Y/N?" Seth's voice trickled into his head, only slightly shaking him out of his shock. "Are you--"
Sam snarled, jumping the invisible line before darting to Y/N and grabbing his by his pelt, dragging his roughly back to their side of the treaty.
"What are they doing?" Bella questioned, shaking at the sight of those powerful jaws digging into furry skin. "They're hurting him--"
"I think we're done here," Sam echoed, turning and dragging the boys frozen form with him.
"Edward!"
"It's not our place, Bella," he muttered gently.
"But--Jasper!" She turned to the southern vampire, who just scowled.
"My place is by Alice," He stated. "Nobody else,"
Bella matched his stare with her own.
"He couldn't help it, it's not his fault so don't blame it on him,"
-
Finally, Y/N came to his senses, shaking off Sam and licking his pelt clean.
"I don't wanna hear it," Y/N grumbled. "It's not like i wanted that to happen,"
"Are you ok?"
Sam's voice shocked him, his wolf turning to look at the Alpha.
"We felt it too, y'know," Paul added, coming to his side.
Y/N snorted.
"What part? The imprinting or the rejection?"
He tried to laugh it off, but everyone just looked at him with eyes of pity, making his hackles rise.
Without another thought, he ran into the forest, away from those looks and away from rejection.
-
The next time Y/N interacted with the Cullens was during the battlefield.
Y/N had trained on his own for the past couple months, maturing when the idea of battle came closer.
He as fighting three angry vampires that each tried to rip out his pelt.
Annoyingly, half his focus was on Jasper. Making sure no vampire snuck up on him and checking for injuries.
This cost him many scratches and attacks from newborns. He already recieved a nasty scratch over the eye, something so deep and bloody in his wolf form that he was afraid of what it would look like when he shifted back.
Just when he was getting overwhelmed, another body joined him, ripping heads off with perfect, dainty hands.
When he turned, he ached with the knowledge that it was his Imprints mate, his girlfriend, his wife, his forever.
This girl was the reason he couldn't get his happy ending.
But who was he to put that against Jasper? The last couple of months he turned twenty, though the pack noted that since the incident a couple months ago, he hasn't changed physically. That thought scared Y/N to the core. The bond with Jasper gave him a more fragile immortality, but it was immortality no less. So, he would unwillingly outlive his pack, his parents, his children, for a guy he doesn't even know.
Suddenly, a vampire was on him, strangling him tightly and he felt his bones crunch for a second.
Yet, Alice came to his rescue, flinging him off.
Y/N looked at her, nodding her thanks yet freezing halfway through.
Their eyes met. His gravity shifted. One person. Two people. Two people who hold his world. The only two that matter.
Jasper stopped his fight, looking to them. The shock, fear, anger, resentment, rolled off them in waves and almost choked Jasper with it.
But he saw a dark blur zooming across the field, right for Alice. The way the blur moved made Jasper queasy. One hit and both of them would be flying over the mountain.
Pulling himself out of it, he charged, heading straight for her.
Y/N smelt it before he heard it.
The chemical, sickenly sweet, synthetic smell coming towards them. Then he looked and saw the blur seconds away from Alice.
Instinct took contol, jumping infront of Alice and growling. The growl shook the stones and made the snow quiver and melt in fear.
Two bodies, completely opposite to eachother, slammed against one another.
Both toppling over the mountain...
-
Sam felt it before the rest of them, the numbness and the break of a special bond. With all the newborns cleared, he let out a howl, something that sounded so broken and fragile and something that was echoed by the others.
Sam ran to the cliff, his pack running behind him.
Jasper and Alice were there, looking over the cliff and talking rapidly.
They shuffled out of the way when Sam made it to the edge, his body leaning over. He couldn't see anything this far.
So he turned and made his way down the slope with his pack.
-
"What happened?" Bella muttered, looking at the Cullens gathering by the cliff edge.
"It was one of the wolves," Carlisle supplied helpfully.
"It was Y/N, he stepped infront of me but was thrown over the cliff. " clutching her hands to her chest, Alice's voice sounded sorrowful. "I felt it Jasper, he did it to me too!"
Jasper held her tighter, not knowing which emotion to feel.
He would be an awful liar to say he hadn't thought of Y/N constantly in the months past.
He did. Almost everyday and night, but he had Alice and Alice was his mate for eternity. To think Y/N had also imprinted on Alice was something remarkable in itself.
Yet, no hopes rose when the wolves didn't ascend the cliffs.
-
The wolves shifted back into their human forms, running forward and crouching over where Y/N was lying in a broken heap.
His limbs were disfigured, splayed and broken in all angles. Blood seeped from his neck and chest and arms. The stench poisoning their sensitive noses.
Sam crouched near him, rough fingers resting on his neck.
"Go get Carlisle!" He ordered. "He's breathing,"
But Carlisle was already there, jumping from the mountain and landing near them, sounding like a crack of thunder.
He quickly set to work, mumbling under his breath.
"His bones are healing in the wrong places. I'll need to break them again." The doctor turned to the wolves. "Take him back. I'll come as quickly as i can,"
Sam nodded, picking him up, giving a thankful glance to Paul when he readily shifted and let him put Y/N on his back.
They scaled back up the mountain, glancing at the Cullens briefly before disappearing into the forest.
-
The third time Y/N saw them, he wasn't self-aware of himself. He was dosed up on drugs to ease the pain and it made him feel slightly light headed.
Instead of seeing solid figures, everyone was slightly blurry and disfigured.
He was aware of someone holding his hand, it was a freezing cold, dainty hand.
"He'll be fine soon," someone assured. "With his accelerated healing, I'd give it three days."
"Poor kid." Another voice sighed. "He may be an absolute prick, but he tries his darn best."
There was a pause, Y/N groaning as the hand around his tightened.
"Stop looking at her like that," a voice chimed.
"Why? It's her fault this happened."
"She was in shock," the same voice retorted. "It's not everyday to get imprinted on,"
"And you'd know all about that wouldn't you?" Snarling rose up into the room.
"Can everyone shut up?" Y/N snapped. "I'm trying to relax," he felt only a phantom of the pain he would feel had he not been drugged up, yet it was still harsh enough to make him want to clench his jaw.
"Sorry," a voice beside him whispered.
"What happened?"
So they retold his story. Him grimancing at every gory detail as if he felt the pain again.
"Can i have a moment alone with Jasper and Alice?" He heard shuffling, blurs leaving the room. Two stayed, the one beside his bed and one in the corner.
"Are you feeling ok, Y/N?"
He was barely able to lift his head do he hummed instead.
"I'm sorry. I should've seen him coming. But--"
"It's fine. I feel like we were both occupied."
Silence.
"So, you remember then?" A masculine voice.
"I have great memory..." he uttered, shifting slightly when an itch crawled up his spine.
They sat in silence, each consumed by their own thoughts, Alice trying to see the future, knowing it was pointless.
"What's going to become of this then?" Y/N felt like shrinking into the sheets. Though he felt like he matured he was still dipping his toe in the embarrassing mindset of a teenager and hated these serious talks, especially when he led them .
"An...imprint," Jasper began. "Can be anything, right?"
Y/N felt dread in his stomach at the thought.
"Friends, siblings, protectors, lovers, anything the imprintee wants, it's my job to make you happy," he said it with such a lack on enthusiasm that even Jasper winced.
"So, that's what we'll be, friends. "
Y/N heard Alice's low whisper of 'Jasper' and almost felt warm to it.
"Of course," he shifted again. "Friends."
He could just make out Jasper nodding gratefully, coming forward to pull Alice away, ignoring her protests and leaving Y/N alone.
Y/N, when he first learned of imprints, was overjoyed. He was a true romantic at heart, yearning for the everlasting, true love an imprint can bring. He imagined him at 30, a beautiful girl next to him with at least one child playing in the garden. Then, as the sun would set they'd all lay on the couch, snuggled together and watch a disney movie. Then, when their child would go to sleep him and his wife would take him into his room, tuck him in and then go to bed themselves, content with the day and happy.
That seemed so far away now. Everything about that vision was wrong. He'd never have that. Even if he tried to date, the Imprint would win every time. That person would not know about his double life, would have to understand they aren't, and never would be, the most important thing in his life.
So, with that in mind, he shifted once more and closed his eyes, trying to will the dream of a perfect family away.
-
Y/N really didn't see his imprints that much. When the feeling of emptiness and hurt would crawl up behind him, Sam would give him permission to cross the border and hang around the Cullens home, never inside, but close enough. Sometimes Alice would come out, offer him some new clothes while petting his fur, then when he'd changed they'd walk around the forest, laughing and bonding over the smallest of things.
It was those times Y/N understood that Imprints are soulmates, matched perfectly to the imprinter. Yet, no matter how his feelings for Alice grew, he always fought with himself to give them the space appropriate to pass as friends, out of respect for Jasper, who he hasn't seen since he was bedridden.
When he recieved an invitation to Bella's wedding, his mum took him straight out to look for a new suit.
He obviously would've accepted anyway. Alice and Jasper were there, Bella too, who he'd admit wasn't as bad as the others claimed her to be.
So, he stood by Billy Black and Seth's side, watching the newlyweds dance with eachother, no space left between their bodies.
Jasper and Alice was across from him, Alice appreciating the suit while Jasper denied any 'checking out' his mate claimed he was doing.
"Why fight it Jasper?" Alice questioned quietly, squeezing his hand. "You feel it too, so why do you keep your distance?"
But Alice knew. Jasper didn't want to stand out. He never did. Having a boyfriend AND a girlfriend and having them dating eachother? That was an attention beacon that the blonde didn't want.
He shook himself out of his thoughts when Alice left his side, going straight for Y/N.
"Care to dance, Y/N?" Alice held out a dainty hand. "Jasper has as much right as you do," she added when his eyes immediately fell to Jasper.
Hesitantly, Y/N took her hand and led her to the dancefloor.
"I'll warn you that I'm not a very good dancer,"
Alice giggled, eyes lighting up.
"You can step on my feet if you want, I'll dance for the both of us," She teased.
Y/N rolled his eyes, a flush presenting itself on his cheeks.
"Very funny," He twirled her, admiring the way her dress danced with her. "This makes you look like a real fairy,"
They locked eyes, both smiling gently.
Everything faded away. The music. The people. It was only them. Their bodies swayed naturally closer, their chests pressed up against one another, their faces inches away from kissing. Alice felt his breath fanning her face like gentle kisses.
"We can't do this," He whispered, yet made no effort to move away. "You can't do this to me. It's cruel."
"What am i doing, Y/N/N?"
"You're waving the thing i want most right under my nose, but when i go to take it, you'll snatch it away," he uttered, eyes casting down to her lips.
"Well..." her hands came up to circle around his neck. "If you want something enough you just got to take it, do you want it that much?"
He didn't answer, instead, he swayed closer and Alice did the same. When their lips brushed it was as if every barrier broke. Their lips came together, their arms wrapping around eachother.
It was not fireworks. It was not explosive. But it was what Y/N needed. What Alice needed. What Jasper refused to allow him to have.
When they broke away, they saw Jasper retreat to the house in quick step, trying not to attract attention.
Y/N's heart ached for him. One dam broke and without that one the other dam was struggling and wouldn't hold up for long.
"Come on!" Alice dragged him in the direction of his house, ignoring her protests.
"Alice! We should give him time," But Alice shook her head and continued, up the stairs, down the corridor, through a door.
Jasper sat on a double bed, looking out of a window and his shoulders tensed.
"Jazz," Alice began, squeezing Y/N's hand. "We're going to be ok,"
Jasper shook his head silently.
"The times have changed. Jasper, this isn't as taboo as our times." He ignored her.
She sighed, looking at Y/N and letting go of his hand.
He almost whined in protests but yelped instead when she shoved him next to Jasper and forcing him to sit next to him, while she took his other side.
The silence dragged on for a couple minutes, Y/N couldn't help but fidget his his fingers. But a hand came inbetween both his own, holding his right hand in a tight grip.
Jasper still wasn't looking at him, but his face was concentrated, looking past the window. Past the trees. Past the sky. Far away.
Y/N smiled lightly, squeezing his hand in return.
It was something fragile but it was enough.
-
Y/N smiled as he came out the forest, arms ready and prepared when a 15 year old Renesmee jumped into his arms.
"Uncle Y/N!" She giggled, kissing him on the cheek.
"Hey Georgous,"
Bella came out to greet them, smiling at the h/c-ette.
"She missed you." Bella brung him in for a quick hug.
"Only two weeks," he assured. "I'm back now."
"Thank god," someone laughed, a small figure running towards him, colliding with him chest and making the shifter let out an 'oof'.
"Missed you too, Alice," He melted into her touch, bringing her as close as he can.
Going onto her tiptoes, She whispered into the shell of his ear.
"Jasper's waiting upstairs."
Y/N grinned, nodding. Even with the years that have passed, Jasper was still sensitive to showing public affection outside, mainly with Y/N. It sometimes brought the wolf down but centuries of homophobia doesn't disapear in one night, so Y/N was willing to wait.
He made his way to their room, opening it gently and smiling when Jasper turned to greet him with a matching smile.
He easily accepted Jasper's hug, melting when he kissed his cheek gently.
"Wow..." he sighed. "You must've really missed me," his arm tightened around his waist teasingly.
"Shut up," the blonde mumbled, pressing another to his forehead.
Y/N was willing to wait, they had forever.

In His Arms (Seth Clearwater)
Tumblr media
Pairing:Seth Clearwater/Reader
Words: 2.2k+
 Warning(s): Kidnapping, blood mention, fighting
A/N:  My bby boy seth! Love him ♥ Hope you enjoy this oneshot!
Request:  Seth Clearwater x reader, human. The reader is new to Forks after Breaking Dawn pt2, they meet while walking around town. After hanging out Seth asks them out on a date, they say yes. He goes to her house and her older brother slams the door in his face. They still go on a date. 3 years later they are going to get married. Her brother disappeared two years ago. On the night before the wedding her brother returns as a vampire kidnapping the reader. The two packs up rescue her and Seth fights him ( @hecatemacbeth7 )
---------
You shoved your hands into your sweater pockets as you walked down some random street in Forks. It was about to rain, go figure it is Forks, and you were rushing to find a temporary shelter until your brother could pick you up with his truck. You took notice of a cafe pergola that was the perfect shelter for the oncoming rain. You quickened your pace and successfully made it under the outdoor roof, just in time before the rain began to pour. You sent a quick text to your brother and watched people run and scurry to get out from the downpour.
To your left you saw a group of guys laughing and rushing to get under the same pergola you were under, all soaking wet, but they just laughed it off. You chuckled with them and watched them goof around, their happiness was a bit contagious. One of the guys looked your way, catching you watching them. You could admit that he was one of them you were eyeing most. You sheepishly smile after being caught, but noticed that when his eyes met yours his jaw slacked. You notice of the guys around him patting his back and looking your way. You definitely were confused. You decided to mind your business at pay attention to only the road.
"Uh hey!"  You looked back and saw the guy next to you, a grin on his face. "I'm Seth, Seth Clearwater. Sorry about that back there, um you were just so pretty it uh... took my breath away."
"Oh thanks. Sorry about staring, you guys laughing was contagious. And your particular smile as well. " Your face heated with warmth from his compliment. "I'm (Y/N) by the way, nice to meet you."
"I was wondering if you would want to do something together? Like come back to and get to know each other?"
"That would be nice. Want to swap numbers and set a date?"
"Yea that sounds great!" His face lit up and you both swapped numbers.
You heard a honk and saw your brother waiting at the curb. "That's my ride. Text you later?" You wave to him and make a dash to the truck, trying to stay as dry as possible.
"Who was that?" Your brother said with a displeased look.
"Oh that's Seth, I just met him." Your brother didn't respond to your answer and focused solely on the road. You shrug your shoulders and sent the first text of many to Seth.
---
You stood in front of your mirror, adjusting and fixing your outfit and hair. You and Seth are going on your first date after a week and a half of texting and calling each other. He seemed like such a genuinely sweet guy who you felt a pull towards. You decided everything about your look was adequate enough and went down stairs to wait for Seth.
A knock on the door made you grin, knowing it was Seth. Before you could approach the door your brother jumped from the couch and opened the door before you could.
"Hello, you must be-" Seth went to greet but was cut off by Richard.
"(Y/N) isn't going anywhere with you, so leave." And promptly slammed the door in poor Seth's face.
"What the hell, Richard!?" You shouted, flabbergasted at his behavior. "Why would you do that?"
"Because I said. Don't question me or my decision." He snarled and went back to sitting on the couch. You glared at him and made your way back to your room, cellphone in hand. Quickly you sent a text to Seth telling him to meet you at your bedroom window on the left side of the house. When you got to your room you made sure to close the door and to prop your desk chair against the door knob. You opened and looked out your window and saw Seth looking back at you.
"I am so sorry about him. My brother is kind of a dick." You smiled sadly. "Do you still want to go on our date?"
"Of course, (Y/N)!" He grinned. "How are you gonna get down?"
"Do you think you can catch me?"
"Most likely! Just be careful."
You bit your lip but felt determined. You carefully get you legs out of your window and you were now sitting on the windowsill.
"Careful!" Seth got in position, his arms ready to catch you.
"Here I go." You took in a deep breath and pushed yourself out. You bit your tongue, keeping your impulse to scream at bay. Before you knew it you felt strong arms catch and hold onto you.
"I didn't expect our first date would have you in my arms." Seth joked and let you down to the ground.
"Thank you for catching me, lover boy. Now, lets go to the cafe."
--------
That first date with your now soon to be husband was something you cherished forever. You and Seth were extremely close after that first date. You soon learned about who he truly was, a wolf shifter, and you learned how you were his imprint; which made you swoon even more. No wonder you felt such a pull to him.
Leah and the rest of the pack practically became family, and the Cullen's (whom you learned were vegetarian vampires) became close friends. You gained an amazing second family that you needed, especially after your brother disappeared two years ago. He was a hardass and a jerk at times but he still was your only family in Forks. The pack and Cullens helped you through your grief from losing your brother.
You were in the car with Leah, Rosalie, Alice, and Bella; coming home from your bachelorette party. It was a fun day of shopping at different stores in Seattle and a lovely dinner for you and Leah. Alice parked the fancy car in front of your house, and her and Rose turned to face you.
"Get some beauty sleep for the big day tomorrow (Y/N)." Alice grinned, giddy with excitement. She was the one who practically volunteered to arrange everything for your wedding.
"Seth texted me he still out with the guys for his party. Do you want us to stay with you?" Leah asked.
"No it is okay. I am pretty tired so I will probably crash once I hit the pillow." You laugh and gather your things.
"Remember, you need to be at my place at 7 am sharp so we can get your hair and makeup perfect!" Alice reminded and you nodded.
"I will, see you guys tomorrow." You give them a wave after you left the vehicle and walked up to your small house. It was a fixer upper for sure, but it was a place for you and Seth to call home. You place the things that were bought on the dining table to deal with later.
After changing into your pajamas and having a small snack, you crawl under the sheets of your bed. You smiled and snuggled into the pillow, waiting for sleep to carry you off. The sound of your floor board squeaking caused your eyes to snap open. You could feel your heart leap but you assumed it was Seth returning home from his bachelors party.
"Hey Seth-" You sit up and yawned, but it wasn't Seth who was standing in your bedroom.
It was Richard, your missing brother, standing there.
"Hey (Y/N)." His voice was strained as he took a step forward.
"Richard... what are you doing here? Where have you-" In the blink an eye, his freezing cold hand gripped your throat tightly. Your panicked eyes met his an then you realized: they were blood red.
"You're coming with me."
------
Seth arrived back at his house a bit later than intended. The rest of the pack was on his left while the Olympic coven guys were on his right.
"Thanks for the good night but I should probably turn in..." His train of thought trailed off when he smelt something not right coming from the house. Judging by the others faces, they picked up on it as well. "Paul, Emmett can you join me?" They both nodded and the three began walking up towards the house.
"We will surround the house just in case." Edward nodded at Seth and the others followed suit.
The three stepped into the house and immediately the scent of vampire hit them in the face. For Seth though, there was some familiarity to the stink he picked up; he couldn't put his finger on it.
"No smell of blood. That's a good sign." Emmett whispered. Seth grimaced but made his way to the bedroom where the scent was the strongest. The bed looked like a mess, but he noticed the lamp and picture on the bedside table were knocked to the ground.
"Why is the scent familiar to me?" The wolf shifter whispered to himself. He investigated the rest of the bedroom for any clues of who it may be. His dark eyes glanced towards other pictures and his focus landed on one small one. A picture of (Y/N) and Richard...
"Richard!" Seth growled. Paul and Emmett joined him in the bedroom, both looking confused. "No wonder I knew this smell. The vampire that took (Y/N)is their brother."
"Lets get back to Carlisle's."
------
You sat bound in a chair in some random dirty home, covered in sweat and dirt. It has been a few days since he kidnapped you and you haven't seen him since your bedroom. You were still trying to process the fact your brother was now a vampire and that he was still alive... well not alive but around. What happened two years ago to lead to this outcome?
"How are you feeling?" Your brother walked into your field of view.
"Wonderful, Richard. It's not like now vampire brother kidnapped me the night before my wedding and is keeping tied to a chair with no food or water." You gave a tight lip, sarcastic smile.
"Here." He pulled out a bottle of water and gripped your chin, opening your mouth to pour water in. You tried your best not to choke but your brother didn't take that into consideration. "Food will come later. You'll need to stay strong."
"Why are you doing this? What happened to you?"
"A vampire turned me on my way home from work and brought me here. Him and his friends kept me alive for a bit to feed off me and then ultimately turned me. That's what is going to happen here."
"Why me?"
"Simple. Revenge." He smirked. "Your wolfy boyfriend killed one of ours. What a better way to get revenge than to take someone close to him."
"You're sick." You spat, lip snarled.
"Be thankful. The others wanted to just bleed you dry and kill you. If it wasn't for me you would be dead already."
"Thank you." You rolled your eyes. Your brother gave you a sarcastic smile, before he sped out of the room. "Damn it!" You yelled.
-----
The pack and the Cullens stood outside the house in the small area of Neilton were (Y/N) was being held. Outside was a small group of vampires ready to fight. Seth did not see Richard among the group, which made his blood boil and fur raise.
"We don't want a fight, but it seems you have a friend of ours." Carlise tried the mediator route with the group. "Would you please let them come home?"
"We ain't letting our fresh blood bag go so easily." One snarled. The fight began in the blink of an eye between the two sides. It was obviously pretty one-sided for the Pack and the Olympic coven. The group of red-eyed vamps were severely out numbered but they tried fighting anyways.
Seth diverted from the group to look for his imprint, following their scent through the house to the back room. There he saw Richard hovering up a tied up you and immediately  Seth jumped to attack. His jaw snapped towards the vamps head all while Rich feebly attempted to fight but Seth's rage and urge to protect his imprint was stronger.
His sharp teeth gripped Richards head and with one clean rip, his head was clean off. Seth glared down at the decapitated vampire, his breath ragged.
"Seth..." Your whimper snapped him out of his trance. Quickly, he shifted back to his human form and untied your wrists.
"I'm here baby. I've got you, (Y/N)." He whispered, getting the ropes off your wrists and ankles. Immediately you wrapped your arms around his neck, holding onto him like he was about to disappear at any second. His arms follow suit, keeping your body close as you sobbed into his shoulder. "You're safe. I've got you."
"Seth..." You cried. "I-I love you so much."
"I love you so much too. I'll always protect you."

Okay then.
Let’s break this down.
(Spoilers and predictions ahead, obviously.)
So, we know the first five titles in Owl House Season 2 and their short summaries. Amusingly, before seeing these I had already put some of this together from the trailer. Behold!
Episode 1: Separate Tides - “Luz feels guilty about Eda losing her powers, so she sets sail in search of a lucrative bounty to help the Owl House.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Lilith and Eda sitting at school desks outside the Owl House. Pic 2: Luz in an adorable sailor outfit (complete with fish-bandana) firing an ice blast in front of some steam chimneys. Pic 3: Luz in the same outfit in front of the same chimneys casting her plant spell.]
Here we have SAILOR LUZ, in an adorable new outfit, and it seems likely that Luz’s Lessons In Glyph Magic For Cursed Witches will be prompting this quest. But I think there’s a high chance this won’t be the only boat trip we take this season, because...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image description: Pic 1: Luz in a different outfit, tied up on another ship with a hemispherical canopy in the background, casting an ice glyph with her feet. Pic 2: An incredibly creepy dragon with a face like two hands clasped in prayer and thumbs and fingers all over its wings and body sitting on what looks like that same canopy atop a balloon envelope, looking down with narrowed eyes.]
Here, we seem to see something that may (oh please oh please oh please) be Luz on a skyship, in snazzy cool new pants that do not match her sailor get-up. The balloon canopy the hand-dragon is perched on looks an awful lot like the one above Luz’s head in the first shot, so this is likely either a monster they encounter in whatever aircraft this is, or the possibly the thing lifting it in the first place. They might also be on a roof, but I’m getting strong balloon vibes from what it’s perched on there, so here’s hoping.
Moving on to Luz’s dangerous deal with Amity’s parents, this isn’t hard to match pictures to.
Episode 2: Escaping Expulsion - “When Amity's parents get Luz, Willow and Gus expelled from Hexside, Luz strikes a dangerous deal with them to get back into school.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: A giant Abomination cyborg standing in front of a sign that says “??? Industries” with an Abomination-track logo. Pic 2: A green-haired woman firing a jet of green fire from an Abomination-gun on-stage in front of a backdrop reading “Blight Industries” in the same style as the sign. Pic 3: Luz looking battered in her school uniform, running away across overhead pipework as the Abomination-cyborg chases her with a morningstar-hand.]
So yeah, fascinating stuff here. An Abomination-based company, Blight Industries, Abomination-tech. Looks like the Abomination track is the engineering/STEM field and the Blights own one of the biggest companies in the field, which is probably what Amity is being raised for (so why are the older twins in Illusions, I wonder?). This is probably going to be Luz agreeing to fight the Cy-bomination as a test run or something in order to get back into school. May or may not be an Amity-heavy episode, highly likely to have A++ Blight Parenting, child abuse and trauma either way. Be warned.
Episode 3: Echoes of the Past - “King's delusions of grandeur lead Luz, Lilith and Hooty to a dangerous new island.”
Now, this one is going to be both cool and creepy, because...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Hooty in a doll house in front of the Owl House door, which seems to have organs protruding from the circular hole left in his absence. Pic 2: King and Luz flying on Owlbert in front of Lilith and a Hooty-house backpack on her staff. Pic 3: Luz venturing through an old ruin with crescent-headed statues in the walls. Pic 4: One of said crescent-headed statues revealing some rather nasty claws in front of Luz and King, with a backdrop of the same ruins. Pic 5: Lilith, also in the same ruins, showing some fair aptitude with a trio of ice-glyph spells, staff in hand.]
Yeah, this one’s going to have Hooty removed from the Owl House for the episode, which might well net us some lore on what the hell he is. These might be ancient Witch ruins, which would be cool, and I’d say there’s a strong possibility it’ll also be a “Luz coming round to forgiving Lilith for what she did to Eda” subplot, depending on whether or not Luz is holding even more of a grudge over than than Eda is (which I hope she is, because it would be a good character point). Also, can I just say that I adore Lilith’s “low battery icon” t-shirt? Hilarious character point. Much love. We may also see some of her Palisman, which would be nice; it never showed any independence from her staff in S1.
Episode 4: Keeping Up A-fear-ances - “Eda gets an unwelcome visit from a family member who puts strain on everyone in the Owl House.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: An old witch with grey hair and a giant eagle Palisman on her staff lands(?) in front of the Owl House. Pic 2: Present Eda fade-transitions into Past Eda in a clear flashback. Pic 3: Young Eda hides behind a door looking scared as a shadow on the wall very similar to her own silhouette shouts angrily on the other side. Pic 4: An older Eda, with a cloak, Owlbert and a streak of grey in her hair, turns around as something lunges toward her in a strange spherical room with a giant keyhole-shaped opening behind her.]
Mom? Mom. That unwelcome visitor in the first picture is almost certainly Eda and Lilith’s mother, which means we are going to be getting family dynamics and possibly flashbacks. This may or may not be a full flashback episode, but I’d say it’s at least likely that this will dig into Eda’s life - we’re certainly going to be getting a flashback of Eda’s life at some point. It looks like things weren’t happy at home - that third picture may be shortly after she was cursed, or possibly a reaction to her mischief-making, and the fourth may (given that keyhole opening) be where she got the portal door. Very excited for this; I love flashback episodes.
Episode 5: Through the Looking Glass Ruins - “Gus tries to impress a group of cool kids from Glandus High, while Luz and Amity journey into the most dangerous section of the library.”
I just wanna say I absolutely called both of these points from the trailer before looking at the episode summaries. Observe!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Amity ties her hair back in front of a bookshelf, wearing a lanyard that says “Amity Blight: Staff”. Pic 2: Amity and Luz stand in the Library, flanked by bookshelves, in front of an enormous set of doors. Pic 3: Luz and Amity hold hands against a backdrop of blue and purple. Pic 4: Flying books/roof tiles with wings and eyes flap around amidst the rooftops. Pic 5: Gus fires a fireball through a blue magic circle in a forest, with giant thorny vines in the background. Pic 6: Gus’s fireball EXPLODES, scorching a path through more vines as four kids (one of them Matholomew) cower in the foreground.]
I was pretty sure from the library shots that there was going to be another Lumity-focused episode in the library, with the third picture possibly being books gone wild from the same episode or possibly not. Meanwhile, I connected the last two pictures from the environment and spell, and given all the plants, I’m betting this is either Gus going somewhere horribly dangerous to impress those kids, or him having accidentally upset Willow by trying to be popular and having to get her out of the horrible murderplant wall she’s surrounded himself with. 50/50, really, giant murderplants are very much her thing, but also not uncommon in the Boiling Isles ecosystem. This probably won’t be where we get canon Lumity, but I bet it’s a major step towards it. Looking forward to it!
---
So, that’s the episodes we have concrete info on. What about the ones we don’t? What else might we see this season? I believe canon Lumity is all-but-confirmed - and even if it isn’t I’d say there’s a very, very high chance - but that feels more like a mid-season thing to me. What else?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Lilith desperately reaches forward from where she’s fallen to the ground in the Owl House living room with hands that are growing talons and feathers. Pic 2: A monstrous Curse Beast with a white face unlike Eda’s and mottled plumage stalks around one of the Owl House doorways. Pic 3: A close up of this new Curse Beast snarling terrifyingly.]
Yup, looks like we’re getting a “Lilith’s First Transformation” episode. This confirms that she and Eda’s lessened curse will still have them (probably both) transforming sometimes, which is cool - I like the Owl Beast and it leads to interesting plots. Solid odds on this being something of a horror episode, with Curse Beast Lilith chasing them through the Owl House - and Eda no longer has magic to stop her. What’s Lilith reaching out for there in that first picture? Luz and Eda, warning them away? Her staff? The elixir? Possibly some combination of the three? Gonna be traumatic for her, that’s for certain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Camilla stands in front of a fullblown string-and-newspaper-clippings conspiracy wall, looking surprised. Pics 2 & 3: Nine individuals, each wearing a white cloak fastened with a brooch that bears the symbol of one of the nine major Covens (from left to right: Bard, Beast, covered-but-presumably-Healing, Illusions, Potions, Abominations, Oracle, Plants, covered-but-presumably-Construction (same short bald guy that was manning the Construction booth at Covention).]
On the “authority figures” side of things, we have Camila! And the Coven heads! Looks like Luz’s mama is going looking for her daughter - or possibly for whoever’s sending her those creepy letters - and I hope the background there is meaningful and not just filler backdrop, because that key on a hook to her left looks significant and might be the key for the ruined shack Luz entered the Boiling Isles through, while the strange figure holding what seems to be a paddle of some kind in the newspaper clipping to her right looks like it’s at the centre of the string-web. Meanwhile, we’re gonna be seeing the heads of the major covens in some form, probably in a single episode that has all of them cameo in minor roles - except wait a moment. That figure on the far left; the head of the Bard Coven in the hooded cloak with the shiny glasses and frown. Doth my eyes deceive me? Or...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: a short-haired older witch whose glasses and frown match the Bard Coven head turning to glare at the camera in front of a rock-strewn sandheap(?) Pic 2: The same witch playing a violin in front of a stone pillar, looking unhappy. Pic 3: Eda’s Grudgby scrapbook, including a photo of her, Lilith and a third girl in the Bard track enjoying sweets with Eda.]
... be this the same character? I believe it be! And it looks like an old friend-slash-possible-girlfriend of Eda’s! (Thanks to HeyRebeccaRose on Twitter for pointing that third picture out). That means Head Bard is probably going to get more focus than the other Coven heads (though the Abomination one is very front-and-centre and might also get significant focus from the Amity side if it’s a “Career Day” sort of episode), and we may get even more about Eda’s past.
Speaking of which...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: A strange conical figure shrouded in robes with a single yellow eye staring out from within them, holding a purple-fire lantern and pointing with elderly, long-fingernailed hands. Pic 2: Another strange cloaked figure, this one with a crescent moon for a face and stars all over their robes.]
Who are these two? Mysterious, and somewhat Oracley in the second case. Could these perhaps be other Wild Witches? We’re likely to see a running subplot of Luz searching for more glyphs and old-style glyph magic this season, so she may well meet some. I don’t get an “antagonist” vibe from either of these, more a “mysterious possible ally” one. Wild Witches they well could be. I wonder what Luz will learn from them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Creepy statues in a possible-graveyard with glowing red eyes that are crying blood. Pic 2: A giant blue dragon with a Shellder for a face that’s wreathed in cyan fire appearing out of nowhere in said creepy possible-graveyard. Pic 3: Hooty rearing up in the woods outside the Owl House, clearly fighting, surrounded by orange-glowing brown masses that could be trees or could be wings and may well be on fire either way. Pic 4: Lilith in a burning forest hitting something with a broken branch.]
What would The Owl House be without action, creepy monsters and horror? Not half as good, that’s what. These creepy evil statues may just be creepy evil statues or they may be petrified wild witches - either way, that’s probably going to be a horror episode, with the Shellder Dragon as a guardian of some sort for the possible-graveyard they’re in. And the second two pictures look alarmingly like an attack on the Owl House - one involving fire. We’re probably going to see Hooty cut loose and fight again, so, uh... RIP to his opponents, I guess. We’re also going to be getting more wide-scale action in the form of...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pics 1-3: The Titan’s Skull, its eyes first glowing yellow, then burning with golden fire, then engulfing the whole frame in a giant explosion. Pic 4: Luz activates a combo-glyph comprised of Fire and Ice together, painted onto some giant boulder or similar. Pic 5: Luz floating apparently-unconscious in a glowing body of water of some kind, with a rope tied around her waist that’s either connected to something deeper down, or has been cut loose from whatever it was anchored to.]
... the Titan itself. Yeah, we’re going to be seeing it acting in some form this season - and I include the pictures of Luz there, because the first shows her increasing skill at glyph magic and the second looks either like a stock “fell from a great height after the rope tying her to another character/the skyship was cut, landed in water, passed out” thing, or a “communing with the Titan while in trance” pose. Or maybe even both! Certainly I think we’re going to be seeing Luz discover that Belos isn’t the only one with a way to talk to the Titan in this season, and if she takes a trip up to the Skull - highly likely - we may see it take a more active role in communicating its own desires and viewpoint, such as they are, and Luz developing her form of magic further as a result.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: Owl-Masked figure seated on a techno-staff, waving merrily, against a backdrop of what seems to be the Skull. Pic 2: Owl-Mask in front of a set of doors, watching inscrutably as a horned figure (whose shadow is cast across them) undergoes a monstrous transformation. Pic 3: Owl-Mask taunts a caged King. Pic 4: A distressed Kikimora casts a spell. Pic 5: Luz (in her snazzy new patterned pants and cloak) leaps up onto a roof with a red bird (Palisman?) on her shoulder and Owl-Masks’s techno-staff in her hand.]
So yeah, saving the most interesting till last, there’s this asshole. Owl-Mask (and I’m not giving a gender, since we don’t know either way) is probably going to be the new Lilith in this season, either being the primary one in that role of “Belos’s hand”, or sharing the role with Kikimora (who is at minimum going to be in at least one fight). Given the techno-staff like Belos’s and the owl theme of the mask, this person has strong themes of being a foil to Luz; with Belos as their Eda. And indeed, that monstrous figure they’re watching has horns - is that Belos? Does he have a cursed form as well? That would increase the parallels even more.
Of course, it seems Luz is, hilariously, going to steal that techno-staff (like mentor, like student, I suppose), and possibly learn something about this third form of magic-as-technosorcery without glyph or circle that Belos uses. She also has a friend! This might well be someone else’s Palisman that she’s helping escape (since we see in another shot that Belos is still murdering and eating Palismans), but it might also be her own! If so, hopefully she’ll carve it from the giant wisteria tree she and Amity grew in Enchanting Grom Fight, and hopefully it will be gay as hell.
And of course, closing out the season...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image descriptions: Pic 1: A gauntleted hand puts a patchwork key into the keyhole of the reassembled Franken-Door-Portal as it lights up. Pic 2: Belos stands in front of the still-incomplete Franken-Door-Portal, with shaggy blonde hair reaching his shoulders and his mask in hand. The shot, even as he puts it on, very carefully hides any sight of his ears from the viewers.]
Yup. Belos’s work to reassemble the Door and the “Day of Unity” is the ticking clock this season (which I suspect it will end on him successfully opening, and then the three 44-minute Season 3 mega-episodes will be the consequences of that). I’m nearly certain he’s human at this point, the framing is just being too coy about hiding his ears for anything else, and his hands and hair are definitely humanoid rather than some kind of eldritch monster. Though I’m sceptical about him being Luz’s father as some have suggested. It’s possible, but I’d rate it as a somewhat flat twist. We are getting more Camila this season though, so who knows?
The “Day of Unity” is what he’s working up to, and I wonder - unity with what? Between all witches? Between worlds? Between him and the Titan? I’m inclined to believe him when he says it’s not as simple as a straightforward invasion of the human world, less because I trust his word (I don’t) and more because, like... what would be the point? What would it gain him?
There are a couple of other shots from the trailer I could ask about - the giant demon shadow on the wall that I called out as probably being another King gag of being cast by a tiny demon when I saw it and was vindicated by the short excerpt from Ep 1 that got released, the shot of Luz clinging to some kind of mechanical-looking arm holding a boulder, a guard using magic (maybe at a magicless Eda), a knightly-looking fellow being attacked by a giant monster, etc - but none of those are shots I can get much from in terms of what to expect, so I’ll close off there. All in all, I’m super eager for this new season and can’t wait to see how much I got right!
See you when the new episodes drop!

WandaVision: When you can’t let go of that robo-lovin.
So, I just finished watching "WandaVision", and I must say, right off the bat
- I LOVED IT!
Tumblr media
Disney Plus is finally paying off. I'm in the group of peeps who got DP, not for the mouse, but for the ones whom the mouse is in bed with, and most recently on Mickey's playtime Marvel List - Wanda Maximoff and her robo-boy toy VISION... or is that “THE Vision”? - that seems kinda ostentatious, but whatever.
When I first heard that Wanda was getting a series, I said "Who cares?" I don't care bout no Wanda! What has she been other than a weird pest?
Let's review:
She tried to kill the Avengers, she accidentally injures and kills innocent people, she was getting in the way, so Tony Stark had to get his CPU (Vision) to babysit her, she falls in love with the CPU - can we talk about how strange this is? I didn't say wrong, just different, cuz honestly, we may be headed there soon. That movie "Her" might be a reality with how tech is going these days.
But, imagine I come to your home and fall in love with your laptop (which messes everything up for you with all your devices and your social media), THEN (as Wanda did with Vision), I run off on some romantic journey with all of your devices. Imagine how Tony would have felt, if he was still with us.
She had one job when it came to Thanos, and it ended up not mattering.
Tumblr media
Then, went full rage on the wrong Thanos.
Tumblr media
Idk if that’s a look (Thanos) pain, release, of he’s listening to his jam. Kinda looks like he’s saying “JESUS”. But, Wanda is pissed.
Wanda: "You took everything from me!"
Thanos: "Lady, I don't even know you!"
I didn't care about Wanda. But, damn, Marvel is so good that in one episode they made me care; one trailer, really.
If you had not seen the trailer for this series, you might be confused by the first episode.
Tumblr media
You might even ask yourself - "What the bleep is this nonsense?!" We want heroes vs villains. We want super-powered explosions. We want capes, ridiculously tight clothes, bulky armor, and anything else that makes no sense to fight in.
You're giving me "Bewitched"?
Tumblr media
I DID see the trailer, so I knew going in that it would be a slow burn with some nostalgia, some quirks, and some eeriness; right up my alley.
The change in Tv decade styles btw *chef kiss*
Tumblr media
I figured that they'd be trapped in some mysterious, magical world - which they are...
Unless you're super geeky with the funny books, there's no way you'll see what's coming in this mystery.
And it IS a mystery, not only to the audience, but for the characters involved in this show. Don't nobody know what the hell is going on.
But, LaWanda and Vishawn
Tumblr media
(sorry, I just wanted to use this pic - Ha! Y'all are crazy.)had help figuring things out:
Rambo
Tumblr media
Yeah, it's actually Monica Rambeau,
Tumblr media
but... admit it, some of you kept thinking about Rambo too, right?? No offense to this actress, but I'd rather see old man Sly play Rambo, and HIM be in this mysterious WandaVision town. Let's get Disney a lil bloody. Wishful thinking, I suppose.
Tumblr media
Marvel WILL BE venturing into multiple universes soon, so perhaps Rambo finds his way to team up with The Punisher? Huh?? YEAH!
But, no... Rambeau (meh No personality, but whatever).
Randall Park -
Tumblr media
He's that person we all know who has made us laugh so much in life, that they don't even need to say anything anymore; you look at them and laugh. I love this dude!
Kat Dennings -
Tumblr media
I remember liking her more in the Thor movies.  I found her annoying, this time around.   She joins the mystery to figure tech stuff out, and she's a doctor or something (don't you forget it!). She also asks the team she just meets to get her some coffee, and acts like they're disrespecting HER, by their lack of response. I know she's a doctor and all, but damn! Imagine some electrician comes to your place to serve YOU, they're condescending to you, and then  they ask you for some coffee. Get the hell outta here!
Oh, and there's a dude named “Director Dick”. That's my name for him, but the name fits.
The people in this town are acting out as if they've been scripted for some show. And all of these characters, AND US, get to figure it out together - through antics from different times in Tv culture.
Times sure were different back in the day:
No social justice issues implanted or cursing or sex or drugs... now, I'm not saying it was a better time, just a different one :) A time when dad jokes ruled! Simple times! Ignorance was bliss. But, it kinda wasn't - not really.
It's like having an animal die on your property somewhere, and it starts to stink. You COULD find the truth of the stench... or light candles everywhere. Some really strong candles - maybe some of those Gwyneth Paltrow candles.
Tumblr media
Though the stench might get covered up, the problem is still there. At some point, your kids could find the dead rotting animal... maybe start playing with it... you get the point.
In this show, the townspeople's minds have been taken over by someone or something, and it's torturous for them. So... bliss on the surface, but... not so much, going deeper. I tell you all of this, plus great production in each epi, a good slow-burn mystery, and fun with comic characters in a way we haven't seen before on screen, and hell yeah - Grade: A series.
Now... spoilers.
You might want to leave now.
Tumblr media
People, Wanda is the villain here. I'm not sure if that's the message the writers are trying to convey or not, but I don't care; she is the clear villain here.
Tumblr media
Here’s Wanda reading some Hell book, conjuring some dark spirits - nbd.
We are rooting for her throughout this show; even after we find out that she has been (even if not maliciously) controlling every one, we still root for her.
I'm not saying that's bad, but we can't forget about what she has done! Remember, I said that the mind control was torturous for the townspeople.
There's a very emotional moment at the end of this series between Wanda and Vision, and between them and their kids (yeah, they have kids... that's a whole other thing). This moment is well done and touching. There's even a bad ass fight between Wanda and the "true... villain"? - of this story. I'll get to her in a sec (There’s a badass Vision fight scene as well).
I loved all of that! But, at the end of the day...
I know Wanda is grieving and all, we all grieve, but we all don't, in our grief, take a whole town hostage, torture the people, all while playing house with our family. That's kinda sick, no??
Are we doing a girl-power thing? or a “witches are people too” thing? or “but she’s doing it all for her family” thing (yeah, they’re not actually real, but whatever)? I don’t know.
I'm not sure that we know what a villain is anymore. It used to be clear - the guy with the beard was the bad guy, or the guy wearing the black outfit was the bad guy, or the people who aren't Americans are the bad guys :)
But, movies like "Joker" and "Deadpool" and Harley's joint have confused some.
Who else would be the villain? There's a character, the villain (i guess), a witch named Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn
Tumblr media
Here she is saying “I’m the villain? Really? What about her?!!”
   - she's excellent btw; def the highlight of this show; her and Paul Bettany's hair game.
Tumblr media
But, let's compare:
Agatha:
betrays her coven back in the day, sure, but why you bringing up old shit?
She allows Wanda to play out this fantasy for a while, and even played along. She could have just killed her when she was ignorant; that's what I would have done. She eventually shows Wanda the truth (granted, she then wants Wanda's power, but hey, everything has a price. And for all we know, she would have used all of that power to... cure the worlds diseases or something... though prob not:). Annnd maybe she killed an imaginary puppy. Convo for another time: if you kill something that's not real, does it matter??
That's it!
She didn't (like Wanda): abduct a town, torture its people, bring Vision back from the dead (kinda), endanger soldiers who were just doing their jobs, create weird fantasies (And did she have sexy time with previously dead, fake Vision? This thing gets even weirder if she did. But, let's not go down that path.) Oh, and she magically punted a black woman (Rambo) the length of a football field just for her asking Wanda some questions.
When the townspeople finally regain their minds (Lord knows how long it's been), they look at her with disdain, and I don't blame them.  And what does Wanda do?? - shrug, put on a hoodie, and fly off - to break into somebody's home and read some devil book.
Where’s cancel culture in this universe?
I know she made us feel, but I ask again, who's the villain here?
Tumblr media
Still Grade A stuff for me (again, I loved this!), but c'mon, people.
We get a glimpse of Captain Marvel 2 as well. My fingers are crossed. I actually liked the first movie. But, many others did not, and one of the reasons - Captain Marvel doesn't have much of a personality, and another - she's too powerful (no risk).
So, to answer the critics, we have Monica Rambeau - another ridiculously super-powered hero, with no personality. So, two unrelatable characters flying around in space, as Sam L Jackson tries not to curse. But, if Marvel can make me care about evil ass Wanda, I'll still hold out hope for Capt Marvel 2.

coming back was a mistake?
Tumblr media
the reader bonds with kai over their shared dislike of mystic falls
previous part
kai parker x fem!reader
word count: 4180
music: cherry by lana del rey, stella maris by moby
She came to the football field every evening at approximately the same time. Kai started weighing which sight he liked more: the pretty smart dog catching its frisbee in the air, or the grumpy girl in her skin-shade top, running around like the devil was trying to bite her in the ass.
Well, the dog hopped so high, and it was so lively! Plus, dogs are all adorable.
But the crop top though.
After several evenings Kai started noticing the pattern. She always stood in one place, as she was catching her breath, and looked at the clouds. She might not even notice she stops at the same very spot every time she finishes running. After the second evening, and after she left, Kai came down to the court and put a scratch five inches long on the ground with a jackknife. She always stood exactly there. He looked up into the now darkened sky, seeing the first stars, and pondered, as if her thoughts could be captured by him now, floating there, above where she’d been. What was she crying about so gravely? Her hands were shaking as she pressed them into her mouth, like children do. After she was done, she walked away to her house, relieved, and didn’t look back.
That was puzzling. Might as well busy himself with the mystery of the sad moody girl who cries on the football field every evening, while he’s waiting for the merge.
Tumblr media
You stood, silently praising yourself for throwing your jacket into the car at the last moment (come on, monkey! we ain’t got any more time! Damon was yelling. He couldn’t hide how much he liked it when you came to visit every year, and you felt bad for despising the visits). The wind was unusually ferocious for the warm month, but then again, this place was deep in the waterfall region, up in the hills, an open spot. Plus, there must have been some hardcore magic ingrained right in the soil. As you stood, and watched, while the Salvatore brothers were humping and cracking their backs, digging up the earth, you pretended to feel the magic oozing out. The burial places always felt special. Having lived in Mystic Falls, you worked up this rare type of intuition.
You didn’t want to come. As you returned, and was busted by the Mystic Falls gang on the very first evening, you reminded them of your foremost rule: you do not engage in their bullshit anymore. Let them fight all the original vampires of the planet... or the werewolves... whatever... you only came back once a year, for seven days, and weren’t keeping up with the Draculashians. A tiny part of you was curious. But it hit back hard, every time. Involving yourself in the MF action was dangerous, and made you feel like an old woman who keeps complaining about them kids being loud in the street.
You were on your way to Caroline’s when somebody called Damon, and he put on his working face. Turned out, they need to undig some bodies exactly today, because the Little Shit (Damon didn’t specify whom they referred to) made his conditions. Well, work’s work. You hadn’t been to this spot before. From up here, you could even see the distand hills of New Orleans. You missed that place.
“How many bodies do you need?” you asked them. Stefan stood up to look at you curiously. As if saying, there are the bodies - we need to get them. Get them all!
“It’s not how many”, Damon helped, “it’s which ones”.
“And what are you gonna do with them?”
“I will eat them”, somebody whispered. You shivered a little under your clothes, but didn’t budge. You looked at your side. Malachai from the bar.
“Joking”, he snickered, “I don’t eat corpses. But I do have jello worms, you want some?”
You examined him thoroughly.
“You have blue ones?”
He looked down the pack.
“I think so...”
As you tried to fish out the blue ones, he looked at you.
“Do you eat bodies?” he asked.
“No, not really”, he sighed. “Thanks”.
“Mm-hm”, he was chewing, looking at the vampire brothers as they worked. Damon shot you two a glance which didn’t say anything specific.
“You’re the Little Shit?” you guessed.
“They call me that? Rude”, he moved his shoulder as if he was a bit cold. “I guess I do somewhat irritate them”.
“Somewhat?!” Damon growled. You cringed.
“And what are you, a digging up works inspector?” Kai went on. You grinned.
“Oh, you’re Y/N! You’re the girl they’ve been talking about, non-stop”, he realized.
At the grave, the brothers exchanged glances, since of course, they haven’t been talking about you in Parker’s presence.
You nodded.
“You long here?”
“A week”, you said, and rubbed your arms, “why is it so damn cold”.
“It’s the spirits disagreeing with the whole vandalizing ungraving, you know. I can’t calm them down just yet”, the guy said knowingly. You wondered internally what he was after all. He squatted a bit, putting his palm to the ground.
“Hold it”, the pack of candy was shoved into your hand and you filled your mouth with sour-sweet worms. Your jaws were about to get glued together.
“Woah, yeah, they fight back”, he took the hand away. “Listen, you”, he pointed his finger at the soil. You looked up at Damon and Stefan, asking them silently what was up with this dude. “I’m about to suck out your whole miserable existence, so you better comply, bitches”.
“Bonnie’s really good at communicating with spirits”, you said musingly.
“She’s also very good at lying, cheating and tricking people into trusting her and then stabbing them in the back”, Malachai said happily, standing up. He reached for some worms politely, forgetting it was his pack to begin with.
“You’ve met her?”
“Met her? Ha, I’ve been locked up with her. What a controversial creature”.
“Where is she? I haven’t seen her since I came”.
“Yeah, she’s... uh...” Kai cocked his head, thinking, “I might have left her in a... magical prison, you know”.
“What an asshole”, you said. You remembered the judgemental, brilliant, restless Bonnie Bennett. “Get her back”.
“It’s not that easy, miss”, Malachai sniffed. “Why do you care, anyway?”
“We studied together”.
“Okay then. See the diggers? We’re doing this all to get back there and get Bon Bon out”.
Damon puffed as if he could get tired. He was just probably listening and was severely annoyed. You knew at once when you saw Kai here how Damon could be deeply irritated by him. Their personalities did not correlate.
“And you? What are you doing?” he asked. Like he meant something else. You watched his curious face, the sweetness filling your mouth so much the gums started hurting. You needed water.
“I’m just here, man. Chilling”.
He nodded to his own thoughts.
“Hm”.
You turned back to the Salvatores simultaneously.
“You wanna go on a date?” Kai asked.
You haven’t been on a date in years. You were not the type to go dating.
“Stop this freaking wind, will you”, you shuddered yet again, instead of the answer. Kai got to the ground immediately.
Tumblr media
You drove up to the corner and walked a little to the Grill doors. Malachai was standing there, waiting, like he was the Italian lover boy at the times when families of two children were willing to start war over dignity, and he was serenading to somebody. He didn’t say anything, just smiled at you; his gaze said things instead of him. Putting his arm above your head, he opened the door, and you entered the bar.
“The other way”, he took you by the forearm and then his fingers slid down to your wrist. Somehow, you got goose bumps on your skin at his touch; it was irrational. As the music filled the space, crappy, hipster Mystic Falls music, he led you to one of the tables closer to tha bar counter. You were trying to decipher the glint in his eyes, almost haunting, when you realized you‘re staring at each other.
“What?” you grinned even, uneasy, as your head cocked, and you caught yourself blushing on the inside. Get your act together. He’s not even that handsome. Well, maybe, okay, he is very handsome, but he’s one of those, so, don’t get your hopes up. You recalled how you two mocked the working Salvatores together, eating the chewing candy and cursing the dead. Nothing like doing nothing, bullying busy grumpy people. The conversation started itself.
“The music here is awful”.
“You’re very pretty”, he said shyly. “Maybe even too pretty”. He gestured towards you. There wasn’t any ogling with him, he was sincerely charming. He must be dangerous.
“The whole face and the... hair thing. Do you ever have problems because you’re pretty?”
The waiter, Maureen, approached you, and you had to stop for a while. She looked at Kai obediently, without paying you any attention. You found it eerie.
“No”, you began, and then thought. Well, every ‘pretty’ girl has problems sometimes. When it comes to brushing against the majority, the bar for ‘pretty’ is very low. If you walk down the street, and somebody throws a glance at you, they manage to see you as ‘pretty’.
“Well. You know, you sound like an asshole if you say you have problems because you’re good looking”.
Kai cocked his head like a bird, question in his eyes.
“Speaking of assholes, explain again how Bonnie ended up somewhere alone?”
He sighed.
“It’s a long story”.
You shrugged.
“We’ve got the whole evening”.
“You know, I’ll tell you, she killed me, you’ll ask how, I’ll have to go back a bit and explain how the magical prison works, you’ll ask what she and Damon were doing there, I’ll have to go back and explain, you’ll ask how I ended up there, and I’ll have to give you my whole life story”.
You took the straw in between your lips.
Kai’s nostrils flared a little.
“Alright. Maybe it was my fault a little bit”.
You were just drinking, not saying anything, and Kai started crumbling down. Must be the whole face and the hair thing.
“Alright! Alright. You ever heard of the Gemini coven? Of course you didn’t”.
You shook your head. You weren’t sure if you wanted to actually listen to the whole life story of this guy. That’s exactly how Mystic Falls tricks you into being one of them. It’s just full of dramatic, twisted life stories.
“It’s a witch coven, the coolest one, well, it used to be. Now almost all of them are dead, and soon, I will be the only one left”.
“Because you’ll kill them all?” you asked innocently.
“Yeah”.
“Yeah, of course. Why am I asking. Stupid”.
“I was born without magic. We have this thing, in the coven, the twins have to duel when they turn twenty one. The one with stronger magic wins and lives and absorbs the other’s life force and powers. But I was born without magic, so”, he tilted his head left and right, as if saying, well, you guess how it goes.
“Big disappointment. My mom used to lock me up in the basement for days not to embarrass guests”.
“What?!”
“Yeah. And this thing... I can absorb magic, because I’m a siphoner. It’s like... if I feel magic somewhere, I can take it. Then use it. Then I need more”.
“So, that’s why you were crawling on the ground there”.
“Yeah”, Kai nodded, “and the oldest bodies of those witches have the most magic, so, I now have enough strength to go back and bring your precious Bonnie home”.
“So, your folks gave you hard time then?”
He got distracted by your nails clicking on the glass. He was like a cat, his eyes clutched the sound, the flickering lights of the evening Grill dancing in the dark of his eyeballs.
“Do you sharpen them on purpose?”
“Of course”, you muttered, “that makes people want to touch me less”.
An uneven breath left his lips. You realized you found him endearing. What a cute, chaotic creature, dressed like a Soft Boy, but with a dark scheme on the back of his mind, eyes darting from here to there, and the tongue completely detached from brain. No wonder Mystic Falls couldn’t handle him.
“Scratch my hand”, he asked, putting his palm on the table. Amusement curled your lips.
You put your palm on his and tickled.
“Were you a twin?” you asked.
“Yeah, yeah, I was. My sister is still alive, but you know, if the merge ended up happening, she’d be dead. Because even without my own magic, I’m stronger than her. She’s all... spells from the books, rules of conjuring, flower growing magic. I’m a natural. Which is ironic”, a sad chuckle clouded his voice for a second. “My dad used to tell me he wished I was never born at all, even if it meant they missed an opportunity to have a set of twins for the merge”.
You eyed him carefully. He talked sad, but looked entertained. He was turning and pulling his hand under your tickling, like a child.
“You’re a big boy now”, you heard yourself, “you know how them fanatics are, right?”
“Hmm?”
“Just because it’s their fucked up world doesn’t mean you were a mistake”.
Kai nodded.
“I killed half of them anyway. My sisters and brothers, and my mom”.
You stopped tickling for a second.
“Uh, you killed your siblings and your mom?”
He was taking a sip and nodded.
“Mm-hm, yeah. I hanged my little brother from the banisters on the staircase. Have you ever killed somebody?”
An uneven chain of thoughts raced through your mind. Any other place, you would’ve freaked out. Here, it’s kind of fine. Everybody’s like that. Kai was a bit extreme, of course. Him confessing killing his child siblings on your date was a bit of a thrill pill. It’s not like he smothered Caroline with a pillow. Or pushed Elena’s car from the bridge. Of pinned Damon to the wall of his own living room. Or turned a sixteen year old schoolgirl into a raging vampire right in time for Halloween.
“You look like you killed somebody”, he whispered conspirationally. You turned his hand and scratched a bit harder. He didn’t notice.
“Is it your witch observation, or a pickup line?”
Kai grinned.
“I’ve told you everything. You tell me why you’re coming back every year”.
“Who told you I do?”
“Damon”.
You rolled your eyes.
“Just to visit”.
He narrowed his eyes.
“That is a lie. You’re lying to me. You hate this place. You don’t come here for a full week out of your own will to visit people you don’t even like”.
“It’s not that I don’t like them, I just...”
“Can’t stand them”.
“Their shenanigans. How long have you been here?”
“Since spring”.
“Have you noticed”, you even leaned over the table a little bit, and his fingers wrapped around your palm with determination. His hand was warm and dexterous. “That they’re in deep shit every week? These people don’t chill. It’s one cosmic threat after another, and most of the time, it’s Damon’s fault”.
“Yes”, Kai said gravely. “Yes. And it’s always about romance. Everybody is in love with everybody”.
You started laughing with relief you didn’t know the source of.
You were tickling his palm gently as you spoke, and didn’t even notice. Suddenly, Kai nearly jumped.
“Wait, you said, awful music?”
“Of course”.
“Give me your phone”.
You didn’t reply, looking at him.
“Come on. You wanna dance or not? I’ll go talk to the DJ”.
“Talk to the DJ?”
“Yeah. I’ll bring it back to you”.
Kai didn’t. A minute after he left with your phone, the mood changed. Even the lights went darker. You finished your drink and then recognized your own playlist coming in on the speakers. When he returned, pulling you into the crowd of people gathering to dance, you looked around at the couples. Malachai, the guy who grew up being locked in the basement by his mother and hearing that he was a mistake of nature, turned out to be an okay dancer, in fact. Perhaps he was just fucking around when he sang in the karaoke. He pulled you up to him and couldn’t stop himself from touching your arms as if tapping you for magic you might have been hiding. His hands explored the lean lines of your waist as you moved, and it didn’t feel forced. Going on a date with someone you barely know, you usually expect all kinds of awkward collisions, but this here was light-hearted, sincere, like neither of you cared enough, connected with your shared displeasure with this town. Neither of you really wanted to be here; Kai said he was waiting for something connected with the merge in September, because, after all the years he spent in the prison, he thought he had another shot at merging with his sister. Apparently, they’re all stoked to duel and kill their twin or die, well, let them. The less mental cases.
Not wanting to be here made you pull close to each other as if you were a proud unit, judging people around silently. People, weirdly, didn’t seem to mind to dance to Lana Del Rey the whole evening, then switching suddenly to relatively unknown soft hip-hop. They just moved, drunk on the evening, consumed by the calm twilight of the place, and you danced, too, with Kai’s hands sliding up and down your shoulders, soothing you like a snake charmer.
Suddenly, he leaned into a kiss and you didn’t pull away. You collided like waves, gentle at first, then, hungry, and wild attraction made your head switch off. His one hand laid on the back of your neck and the other, secured the low of your back, like he was a completely normal guy on a completely normal date, having completely normal heat coming up to his throat. Maybe he was, at the moment. You found it hard to break the kiss, feeling how strangely comfortable it was, like you knew each other forever. Shared spite does miracles to people’s minds.
You drank a little bit too much, perhaps, so your head started spinning, and you were forced to open you eyes. You looked around, still in his arms, and everybody - and that means everybody - in the bar was watching you, not dancing anymore. The music was still on, but people froze completely, mesmerized, and stared at you without any expression.
“What are they looking at?” you whispered.
“They’ll remember witnessing something beautiful, but won’t know exactly what”, Kai said nonchalantly. You shot him a glance.
“What?”
“I compelled them all”, he brushed them away with his hand, “it’s a private party”.
“That’s abuse...” you thought out loud.
“You think I’m evil?” Kai asked. Somehow it didn’t sound connected to your notion.
“Nah”.
Perhaps you should’ve given it more thought. You didn’t even see how impressed he was by the easiness with which you shook your head.
“Just bitter”.
He looked around, and people moved again, like nothing happened.
You couldn’t stop kissing each other even after you left and walked down the street away from the bar.
“You wanna go see a special place?” he mumbled into your face, his breath warm and sweet. “Your heels will disagree with it though, we’ll have to take ‘em off”.
There was almost lust in his voice.
‘Special place’ turned out to be the watching tower behind the school. Mystic Falls was such a small, pathetic place that it only had one sport court, one square and one park. The watching tower was called that because, when you were all fifteen, the bravest kids used to climb up the platform to watch the Founders Day fireworks. It was a steel construction resembling the tower for the musical engineer at a gig. Nobody ever figured out what it was initially for. Maybe Damon and Stefan should’ve dropped their whole vampire wars and first ivestigated that.
Kai was right though: the narrow ladder was made of iron and you had to take off your shoes. The platform itself stood about twelve feet up and was big enough for five people. You laid shoulder to shoulder, and only then you finally realized. It was the night for Perseids.
Brilliant white comets were shooting through the skies. Kai put his hand under the back of his head. You thought of how once you were watching shooting stars with your father back when you were a child; one of the stars fell somewhere behind hills and he said that it exploded. He convinced you he’s seen the afterglow of the explosion, and with time, you have convinced yourself you’ve seen it, too. Bright, short, white flash of misty light, like a flickering halo above the mountain. This memory was completely fake. Just like his belief that the red stars are the youngest. Father knew jack shit about space.
“You ever compare yourself with the size of universe?” you asked. You were afraid to sound too romantic, or stupid, but you were drunk enough.
“Yeah. I like stars”.
“Do you feel small or big?”
“Small”, Kai replied obediently.
“Does it make you feel lonely, or is it a liberating feeling?”
“Lonely”.
“Does it make you wanna die or live forever?”
“I’m planning to live forever”, he said with convitction. You turned your head and discovered he’s been looking at you.
“Aren’t you mortified of the future?”
“I’m just very tired of dying”.
Your brows gathered together. You reached for his cheek and touched it with your fingers to make sure he was flesh and blood.
“You can’t die in prison world”, he explained.
“Oh. Are you alive right now?”
Now, Malachai was a little surprised.
“I think so”, he chuckled. “Hey, you. I’ve been spilling the tea all night and then you distracted me with kissing, and now I’m realizing you said nothing yourself”.
You wondered what Kai has done to deserve the title of Little Shit. You imagined he somehow incorporated you into his plan since he was so nice to you. He looked like he was geniunely interested.
“Nothing to tell. I don’t want to”.
“That’s not fair”.
You shut him up with a kiss.
Tumblr media
As he let go of her hand, seeing the yellow light from the window, he has already decided everything. The door let the wave of bright flood him, and, before it closed behind her back, he turned invisible and hopped inside.
The house stood empty, with the light on in the kitchen. He didn’t know if she seemed like somebody who’s afraid of darkness, but it was strange. Kai let her go upstairs alone and cruised a little around the kitchen and the living room; her house, like her, felt mysterious and so familiar. When Kai finally made it upstairs to her room, she was taking a shower. Malachai touched every little thing that laid around: he put his palm to the wall, fidgeted with the jewelry she left on the bedside table; sat on her bed, opened and closed the curtains and left the outline of his hand on the window. He touched the handles of the wardrobe and brushed lightly over the dress she’s just been wearing, that she threw onto a chair.
When the girl came back, he expected her to cry again. Because of their date, she skipped her running session and didn’t go to the football field. As she stood at the mirror, Kai came up so close to her, he even wondered how she didn’t feel the tip of his nose barely touching her wet hair. She threw the towel on the floor, and Kai looked in the mirror. He couldn’t see himself, but he knew he was there. He wondered what they would’ve looked like together.
Then she froze and turned her head as if hearing something. Kai managed to step away as she rushed to the chair for clothes. She put on sweatpants and a shirt, and went downstairs. Kai was sure he didn’t hear anything.
Curious to no end, he followed, down to the living room, and then the kitched, the light turned on virtually everywhere in the house like she was terrified of shadows.
“No, I just came back”, she said, to nobody. Kai walked in front of her and stood in the middle of the kitchen. She looked over his shoulder. Then sat at the table.
“Fine, when did you come back?”
Pause.
“I thought you said you didn’t leave the house nowadays”.
She was talking to the empty room, a bit sad, not like when she was with him.
Wow, she is nuts, Malachai thought. Then he thought hard and repeated, to himself,
she is absolutely insane!

This chapter contains canon typical violence, smut, mentions of blood, major character death.
Small Time Witch (31)
It had been three days and you hadn’t heard from Loki. The little screwdriver around your neck was barely warm. His heart rate was erratic and sometimes barely existent. You were beginning to think Odin was right. You sat alone on the field where Loki would lead Thanos. You sat waiting for him every day.
The field was filled with wild flowers. You picked a few and braided them into a crown. It was warm and the sun kissed your skin making it glow. When this was all over you would re sod this field. The people of Vanaheim deserved to have nice spaces. While you were deep in thought you didn’t notice the presence until she was sitting next to you. She was always with you in some capacity. Always whispering in your ear. Begging you to follow her. These last few days her voice has been louder than anyone else.
“Took you long enough to show your face.” You didn’t look over. You knew what Death looked like.
“You’ve been waiting for me?”
“What’s to wait for? You’re always with me. Have been for the last ten years. Longest relationship I’ve had.”
She laughed, “I made you what you are. Shaped you into the person you’ve become. I’m here to see my creation’s first steps.”
You sat quietly enjoying the breeze together. You set the crown on her head. She smiled for a moment then the followers wilted. She frowned and plucked off the crown and set it in her lap. You hovered your hand over it springing it back to life.
“Is this what you envisioned when you fucked with my life? Did you put me here so that I could fight your boyfriend?”
“He’s not my boyfriend.”
“Semantics. You love him.”
“I do. I’ll take him with me today.”
“You’ll take him in pieces.”
“So violent. Unbecoming of a princess.”
“I’m not a princess.”
“Semantics.” She smiled showing you all of her perfectly polished teeth.
“Is Loki alive?”
“Barely. Thanos will bring him alive to the battle. Don’t let him get in your head. He knows you’ll be moved to save Loki. You have a job to do.”
“And when I do it, what side of the battlefield will you be on?”
“The winning side. Get some rest, my sweet. Tomorrow is going to be a son of a bitch.” She winked at you and disappeared. You knew what you had to do. When the time came you would be ready.
——————————————————————
The eve of battle. Everyone was antsy. You could practically smell the adrenaline. It’s thick fog choked you when you walked into a room full of people. You made some modifications to your plans which involved magic you could barely do, The Ancient One, Auntie Agatha and Wanda. You had to get Loki away from Thanos as soon as they land. You had to strike fast and hard. They were prepared.
You sat alone at a table ignoring the merriment. You almost didn’t notice your coven and Wanda filing in. They held hands and your mother and Helene rested their hands on your shoulders. Frigga stood behind you making you the center of the circle. They invoked Hecate and Diana to be by your side. “May your magic be strong and your resolve stronger.” Helene chanted.
“And may Thanos know who is the baddest witch in every known universe.” Agatha chimed in.
“Blessed be!” they all cheered.
“Ladies, tomorrow, please aid in evacuating the outlying villages. I don’t want innocent lives lost. Lana, Constance, Margot and Flora, you will stay behind with several of the light elves to keep the palace grounds protected.”
“Why does the new girl get to go to the battle grounds with you?” Constance whined. Mobius was right. It should have been her.
Before you could answer Agatha chimed in, “When you have magic as powerful as Wanda you can fight the aliens. Keep practicing, sweetheart.” You almost spit out your wine you were laughing so hard.
The little screwdriver felt hot against your chest. You could feel Loki. “SHIT! They are almost here!” You stood on the table and shouted, “Shut up! Everyone shut the fuck up! They’re early! Get to your assignments now!”
Hilde fitted you with with armor and you all raced to your positions. Those who were going to Asgard got to the field and called for Heimdall. You kept your eyes trained on Steve and whispered a silent prayer that he’d be safe.
You and Helene lit up the field as much as you could with energy balls. Around the perimeter the Vanir set torches ablaze. Freyr joined you and the ladies to concentrate your strongest magic on Thanos to incapacitate him early. Hilde, Thor and Ororo were on guard as well.
Thanos’ ships landed spraying earth all along the front lines. Frost giants snarled and banged their shields. Thanos stepped off of his ship holding Loki over his shoulder like a rag doll. Just as predicted, Cull Obsidian and Proxima Midnight did not exit the ship with them. You called for Heimdall to show you. They landed there. Danvers added that the Nova Corps and the Sovereign reported Thanos’ troops on Xandar. He was punishing anyone who helped you. Tony said a ship landed outside of DC. Shield , Rhodey and the rest of the X-men were handling business there. You prepared for this and ensured that armies were ready in all the nine realms. No one was safe from this disease.
While Thanos walked down the ramp of his ship, his troops and yours held stock still and aching to fight. Your own plan was clear. Get Loki, kill Thanos, make sure Tony dies, snap the rest out of existence. You could not be shaken.
Thanos picked up Loki by the scruff of his neck. Agatha kept a hand on you. “Stay with us. No stupid mistakes.” she whispered to you. Of course, because he’s an arrogant prick, he made a speech.
“Look at you, hiding behind your wife’s skirt. Your weakness is disgusting. How easy it was to sway you to my side. You are a failure.”
“I am a god” he croaked “and my wife is going to rip you apart.”
“Now!” You shouted and sent a beam of energy straight at Thanos. You had him on his knees. Pietro swooped in and grabbed Loki. He took him to Frigga and Njord then rejoined the fight.
Thanos screamed as his armor split and his weapon clanged on the ground. “Go, you idiots!” His troops mobilized and so did yours.
Just as you planned, the barrier went up when he called for airstrikes. The firepower from the guns could not penetrate effectively protecting your troops. Unfortunately also Thanos’ troops. Danvers and Valkyrie incapacitated the ships right away. The Ebony Maw had Tony in his grasp. Tony wouldn’t be able to fight him off. One of the Maw’s spikes penetrated the Arc Reactor. You heard Thor screaming for him. Hulk rushed to him and tried shaking him awake. He was gone.
You almost lost it hearing your friends scream for Tony through your comms. This time you didn’t shut them off. You deserved to hear it. Out of nowhere, an additional beam of magic hit Thanos. It was brilliant green and strong.
“Miss me, Pet?” Loki shouted looking strong. Frigga Njord and Maja worked fast to heal him.
“We’ve got him! Go!” You screamed to everyone else. You stopped using your magic and let the stones take over. Your whole body glowed and your eyes went white. You grabbed Loki’s hand and intensified his magic. Thanos was in complete agony. While Loki weighed him down with chains that sprouted from the ground, you rested your boot on his chest. He couldn’t breathe.
“This is over.” You snapped and his ships and all of his troops started to disintegrate. You got confirmation that they were going down everywhere. You knelt down next to him and got up close to his ear, “I hope you rot and I hope it hurts.”
Thor came behind you with Mjølnir resting on his shoulder, “Go for the head, Brother.” With one swing he delivered the fatal blow. His blood sprayed your face and body. You didn’t move until his heart stopped.
Death rested her hand on your shoulder, “I’m impressed.” Her voice was amused but you could see she was shaken seeing Thanos in this state.
“I knew you would be.” Just for good measure, you electrocuted his body until it turned to ash. You swept it all up in a little wind and dumped it into a box that you sent deep within Vanaheim’s core.
Death smiled again, “You don’t trust me to hang on to him?”
You chuckled, “I jumped time and almost died taking in these stones to save my man. No telling what you’d do.”
“Smart girl. I taught you well.” The two of you embraced and she shimmered away.
Everyone in your general vicinity was staring at you. You could hear a pin drop.
“What? We’re old friends.”
“Like in Harry Potter!” Lana shouted excitedly. You nearly fell over laughing.
——————————————————————
All in all you had very few casualties. The armies of the Nine were virtually unscathed. Your greatest loss, of course, was Tony. The crew from Asgard rejoined you. You gave them space to mourn privately. With Wong’s help, you expelled the Time Stone and gave it back to The Ancient One. They opened up portals for all Midgardians to return home. You said your goodbyes to all of your family and friends as they left. Your mother made you promise you’d be along to visit soon. You reminded Agatha you still had the Kale’s to deal with. You’d be home soon enough.
You made your way over to the Avengers to extend your condolences. You fashioned a vessel for his body to arrive safely back on Earth. They all shook your hand as they filed out. All except Steve who drew you in for a hug. “I’m so sorry for your loss, Captain. He fought valiantly.”
“Thank you, Princess. We know going into any battle there could be losses. He’s not the first friend I’ve had to say goodbye to.” That broke your heart especially knowing Bucky was alive.
“Does he have a family?”
“A girlfriend. His parents are deceased.”
“I’m so sorry again. Please, never hesitate to call on me should you need my help.”
“Thank you.” He followed Tony’s body through the portal.
Loki eyed you suspiciously. “Save it. I’ll tell you later” you groaned as you stretched.
“You are a dazzling liar, my little queen.”
“Oh, king of my heart, you have no idea.”
You went to the great hall with the intention of going to bed soon after. But, doing battle works up an aggressive appetite. You ate and drank until you were about to bust and then you drank some more. You were laid out on the table while Thor regaled everyone with tales from the battlefield. You nearly made it out when he suggested body shots. You and Loki declined but we’re far too entertained to leave the party. Hilde turned to you and smiled. You knew that smile. She just couldn’t leave well enough alone.
“Just one.” She jingled the shot glass in front of your face. You couldn’t resist her.
“One! Hilde, just one.” You took her hand which she pulled away. “Well where do you want it?” She unbuttoned the top two of her shirt. There were hoops and hollers a plenty. You shook your head and didn’t dare make eye contact with your husband. You sprinkled the salt in her cleavage, licked slowly, did the shot and went for the citrus wedge. She spit it out and kissed you. Loki’s annoyance grew almost to the point of anger. You pulled away with her cackling like a crazy person.
“Is that the face other me wanted?!”
“You are going to get me in so much trouble.”
“I certainly hope so.” She winked at you and went back to your friends.
Loki stood from the table and made his way to you, “If you are quite finished, I would like to take you to bed, wife.”
“I am so ready, husband.” He picked you up and slung you over his shoulder. You yelped when he smacked your bottom.
He was undressing you before you even got to the door. He pushed you against the wall just outside the great hall and slipped his hands into your waistband. “Mmmm. So wet for me, darling.”
“All for you, my king.” He was so hard straining against leather. It was nearly painful. You were falling apart in his hands. “If you keep doing that I’m going to cum.” You were breathless. Chest heaving out sharp pants.
“I want you to. I want everyone to know how I make you feel. You are mine and I want the world to know it.”
You cried his name over and over again when you met your release. He set you down smothering you with his lips. “Take me to bed or I’m going to pull out your cock right here.”
“Ha promises promises.” he says against your lips. You trail your hand down to his pants and undo the buttons. When you pulled him closer he winced in pain. You took your hand away and lifted his shirt to see he was still bruised and bleeding from a wound on his side.
“Lok..” the higher you lifted his shirt the more damage you saw. “Oh. Loki...”
“It doesn’t hurt” he whispered trying to pull you back in for a kiss.
“Stop, Loki. Come on. Let me get you to bed.” He followed you into the bedroom and you started undressing him. “No more illusions.”
“Lie down, Pet. I’m going to fuck you silly.” He lifted off his shirt and you burst into tears. “Please don’t cry. You said no more illusions. Y/N, I’m dying to be inside of you. I will go slow. I just need to feel you wrapped around me.”
“God. I can’t believe you, Loki! You could have killed yourself. Look at you! You’re still bleeding. I don’t want you to hurt yourself.”
“My love, I will only be hurting if I don’t get to fuck you. Please. Don’t make me beg.” You needed him too. For the next few hours you lost yourselves. There was no more pain. No more degradation. No more expectations. Just the two of you.

6. Once Upon A Southern Night

I Won’t Hesitate
Warnings: the usual, language, some rAuNcHy InTeRaCTiOn
You laid sleeplessly in his bed. These days were so lonely, Jasper and the wolves were always fighting, and in the daytime, Ava trained you in magic.
You’d made quite a bit of progress, but it always drained you physically. Being a witch was not as easy as they made it out in the movies. It was about refining your energy, making sure a face-full of gravity didn’t hit you in the face and incapacitate you. You’d done that a couple of times already.
The limits of being a witch was still undefined. Because you and your sister were only half—as were most modern witches—there were still so many things and spells you couldn’t access or perform. Still, Ava knew how to do just about everything.
She could fly and shadow travel for short distances, was completely impervious to all human weapons, could breathe without oxygen and create breath-taking illusions that could completely fool and take down an unsuspecting vampire. You barely even knew how to affect the temperature around your body, much less create fire—the new skill she was trying to get you to master.
You would never be ready by the time Preston and Maria arrived.
Uncle Carlisle contacted some of their old friends. The Denali clan came down from Alaska, Alistair from the English countryside, and the Egyptian coven from the east. The shapeshifters were not thrilled to have vampires trespassing near their land, and Edward kindly informed them of the coming wave of newborns.
Jasper took control in training everyone to fight, though it seemed some of them already had prior experience. He showed the wolves how to avoid the crushing arms of a vampire and how to mobilize their forces to focus on a specific target.
Meanwhile, you were on the sidelines wasting all the time trying to make a leaf catch on fire. You felt like you were doing nothing—and what was the point? Ava could’ve been training by herself, honing her own skills. Instead, she was beating you with a stick everytime you failed—which was every time.
That was until her friend, Zacarias, arrived.
He was tall and very well-defined, like he’d been lifting heavy tools all his life. His skin was the color of dark chocolate, eyes a metallic bronze. He arrived just before you were about to give up, just before you caved in front of a group of fully capable vampires.
“So this is the little bear,” he said, chuckling. “Wow, you always described her like she was so tiny. She’s bigger than I thought.
“Little bear?”
“That was your nickname,” Ava explained, “Because you had thick curly dark hair.”
“Who gave me that nickname?”
She faltered before walking away. You knew who gave it to you, even if she refused to say his name.
“I heard you’re having trouble with your magic. That’s okay, it’s expected for the first few weeks. You’re only a half-blood, after all. But now you’ve got me, and I’ve never had a student fail,” Zacarias promised.
Suddenly, he launched you straight into the air. You were hovering in place, your body stuck where the tip of the trees touched the sky.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Jasper demanded, dropping Eleazar, his opponent. His eyes glowed protectively. The Major had taken control. “Put her down immediately. And trust me, you don’t want to make me have to do it.”
Zacarias dusted off his hands. “It’s part of her training, Whitlock. Try not to be on edge, alright? Trust me, her instincts will kick in if she wants to get down.”
You struggled in the air, flailing your arms and trying to move your body. But the air was so stiff around you, like gravity had the opposite effect. Birds flew past you, cocking their heads at you with their curious beady eyes.
“She doesn’t need no training!” Jasper insisted.
The witch rolled his eyes. “Fine, if that’s the way it’s going to be. I’ll put her down.”
Now you were plummeting down to the ground. You screamed, shielding your arms over your face. I’m going to die, you thought. And in the most embarrassing way.
Jasper, climbing up a tree, was preparing to catch you. But now you were no longer hurtling down to the ground. The grass stopped about a foot from where you hovered above the ground, and you felt something like electricity buzzing in your veins.
“I told you, I’ve never had a student fail,” Zacarias smirked. “Works every time.”
“If you ever try some shit like that without my permission—” Jasper started.
“How else is she supposed to protect herself? If Preston decides he wants to snap her neck, what’s she supposed to do? She’s a witch, Whitlock. More powerful than any of you standing here. But the only way she’s ever going to unlock that power is by coming out of her comfort zone. This isn’t the Civil War anymore, Major. You aren’t the leader of this circus.”
That night, surprisingly, Jasper made it to his—your temporary bedroom. His room was filled with shelves of books, little collectables and trinkets from over the years. He’d never even had a bed until you arrived, but he made sure to buy a big enough mattress where you both could fit on it.
“Jas?”
He stopped just inches from the bed. “Thought you were asleep. You’re so quiet up here.”
“Where are the others?”
“Carlisle and the family took the others to feed outside of Forks. The wolves are back in human form in La Push, and the witches are at the hotel to rest for the night.”
“Jasper?”
“Yes, darlin’?”
“Can you please get in with me?”
He was hesitant for a moment before giving up and climbing in the covers. He held you tightly to his body, your head resting in the crook of his neck.
“There’s so much we have to talk about,” you whispered.
“I know, and I’m not going to lie, I haven’t been the most doting in the last few weeks. The wolves have never fought any vampires since their ancestors last battle, they have so much to learn. And your sister’s done a pretty good of keeping you busy as well.”
You were quiet before sitting up in his arms. He was so beautiful under the lamp light. If you blocked out all your other racing thoughts, you could imagine the two of you somewhere else under different circumstances. Maybe you’d be married by now—after all, high school wasn’t an option right now anyway.
If he were human, he’d be just coming home from work—and you’d be in the kitchen cooking dinner. He’d come up behind you and wrap his arms around your waist, whispering all the naughty things he wanted to do to you. . .
“That was a swift change in your emotions,” he said, eyebrows raised. Now that you were a witch, Ava taught you how to turn off the different powers of the vampires around you. But you liked having Jasper being able to read you, it kept a sense of honesty between the two of you. “Tell me what you’re thinking about.”
You shook your head. “No, I’m getting off track. I wanted to talk to you about something different. . .about the past.”
He tensed, sighing. This conversation was inevitable anyway. You both knew that.
“Ask anything you want.”
You paused. “What was your life before you became a vampire?”
“I. . .there’s a lot I can’t remember. But from what I do remember, it wasn’t much. I had a little brother named August and a Ma and Pa. Pa was just a poor farmer, and we didn’t have much of anything. And Ma came from a pretty well-off family, but they never accepted Pa, so they moved away from her family’s house, penniless and in love.
They had me about a year later. By the time I could walk, I was out on the farm helping with the chores. We had a little barn with chickens, and we had a mule—not a mare—named Buttercup that pulled all the carts. And the bulls in the field were not our own. We tended them for a wealthy planter several miles away.
August was born about three years after I was, and by the time the recruits came to our house for the war, he was only fourteen. Times were hard and I knew my parents could barely afford to keep food on the table. I left home and lied about my age to get into the army, and I left all my savings so I’d never have to look back.
I quickly moved up the ranks—Carlisle suspects it's the trait that carried into my vampiric life. When I was nineteen, I was finally promoted to Majorial status, and I was sent to Alabama where I had to collect men who were drafted.
That’s where I met Preston. He was smart, quick on his feet. It wasn’t long before I made him my Captain. I had no idea about you, for he was quite private about his personal life. We were friends, I trusted him with my life. But that’s when we met Maria.
We were on a mission escorting refugee women and children from Galveston. We saw Maria, Nettie, and Lucy all walking by themselves, dressed in the finest clothes. They were some of the most beautiful women we’d ever seen, and we stopped to give them our aid.
Working for Maria was pure hell. We trained her newborns, and I had the job of disposing of them. We fought other covens for territory, and all for what—a few days of dominance? After a while, she started a rift between me and Preston. He fell in love with Lucy and wanted to establish his own coven elsewhere. They wanted to overthrow Maria and all of us, but I sensed their aggression.
We planned a surprise attack and destroyed all of them. Preston got away, I couldn’t bear to see my long-time friend die. Eventually, I left Maria and went to live with my friends Peter and Charlotte. But I met my sister Alice in a diner, and we left together to join the Cullens.”
It was so much to process. Jasper had lived nearly two centuries before you, and lived a long, full life.
“Were you in love with her?” you whispered.
He lowered his eyes. “I thought I was. I thought she loved me, but she didn’t. I’d just convinced myself otherwise.”
He lifted your chin to meet his gaze. “But the only woman I love right now and will forever love is you.”
Your lips touched and you wrapped your arms around his neck. Whenever you kissed, you never wanted to separate. His tongue pushed into your mouth, and the taste of him drove heat straight to your core.
“I know you want me,” he growled onto your lips, “but there are several feeding vampires nearby. I can’t stand when any human men are around you, much less witches and wolves and vampires. Besides, this is not how I imagined our first time to be.”
“I don’t care about any of that,” you breathed. “I want everyone to see that I’m yours.”
Jasper smirked. “As tempting as that sounds, I believe a real lady deserves to be pampered and pleasured just like a queen. I want to take you to some beautiful island so the sun can shine on your pretty skin. I want to make you my wife before I. . .take you in that way.”
You blushed into his chest, hiding your face in the fabric of his shirt. Not even a few moments later, you heard the front door bust open.
Jasper groaned. “The family’s here.”
Emmett suddenly appeared in the doorway, a stupid grin on his face. “Aren’t you guys so romantic? Jasper’s gonna take to a farm so y’all can get married surrounded by the ducks and chickens.”
“The sad part is, that isn’t very far from what he was thinking,” Edward cried. “God, I hate being in the house with a bunch of immortal, horny teenagers.”
When they were back downstairs, you turned back to your boyfriend.
“So. . .what are you going to do when Preston and Maria arrive? Will you try to talk them down, come to some kind of agreement?”
He stared off towards the mass of dark trees visible through the window.
“I don’t want to do it, I don’t want to kill anyone. But if he comes between us, I won’t hesitate to do just that.”

Shortcuts Chapter 13
Author Note: I’ve cancelled the epilogue. It was essentially filler and was there to tie up the healing spell thread, but it didn’t add much to the story. I think ending here will be better.
First Chapter Previous Chapter
_____________________________________________________
The weekend helped, but only a little.
After that day, Emira did her best to avoid Viney. She already was planning to stop seeking her out after talking to her one last time, but now that Emira had embarrassed herself so badly in that conversation she wanted to hide under a rock and never come out.
Unfortunately, life and school went on and she had no choice but to poke her head out into the world.
She stayed far away from the healing track and beast keeping parts of the school. If she happened to see Viney walking down the hallway, she turned the other way. Once she even ducked into the bathroom to avoid walking past her.
This strategy worked pretty well, until her history of covens class. It was funny, just a week before Emira had been excited to have class with Viney. Now she would’ve given anything to switch.
When she got to that class, she sat in her usual seat. Viney wasn’t there yet. Emira took her history book and notes out so she could pretend to be busy reading them, if need be. She tried to keep her eyes down, tried to look anywhere but the door or Viney’s seat.
It was funny, the harder she tried not to look the more she actually did. She was starting to get nervous, worried that Viney could try to talk to her.
When Ed walked in the door, he came over to talk before class. “You look like you’re about to puke.” He commented, not mincing his words.
The very thought made Emira’s stomach churn. “I hope not.” She replied with a grimace, eyes flicking once again towards the door.
“Try to chill out then.” He spouted advice that, while it did sound good, would be difficult to follow through on.
“Easier said than done.” Emira muttered, drawing a chuckle from her brother.
“Good luck.” Ed said with a wave, walking away to his own seat in the back of the room. Emira didn’t watch him go, instead looking again towards the door. Class was starting soon, so she wouldn’t have to wait much longer.
This time, it was Viney who entered. She was carrying her usual school bag, in her usual modified school uniform. Immediately, Emira looked down at her desk. She opened her history book to a random page, so she’d have something to look at.
Though the book was open, she wasn’t reading it. She was wondering how Viney was doing, if Viney still hated her, if Viney was disgusted by her now. She wanted to know, but she also didn’t. It was a weird contradiction.
Suddenly, Emira could see a shadow being cast over her desk. A shadow with distinctly large hair, one that was very familiar. Was it always this hot in here? Emira was sweating, her heart beating abnormally fast as she kept her eyes turned down. She wasn’t going to look up unless she was called.
Viney stood next to her desk for just a few more seconds, though they felt like they lasted a lifetime, sliding one hand across it before walking back towards the front of the classroom. Emira let out a sigh of relief, trying to calm her racing heart.
She glanced over at where Viney had touched the desk, but was surprised to see a new object there. There was a small white envelope, which for sure had not been there when Emira sat down. Ed hadn’t left it either.
Emira reached over to it and picked it up. When she flipped it over, she saw that it had her name written on the other side. Did Viney leave this for her?
Emira held her breath as she opened it, taking out a single piece of folded paper. She unfolded it and read the short note. It said:
“Meet me behind the building after school.
-        Viney”
The way she signed her name was cute, with a loop on the y, was Emira’s initial reaction. Then she shook her head; that was not where her mind should’ve gone.
It matched Viney’s style all right, straightforward and to the point. What did she want to meet with Emira for? The note didn’t say, but Emira had some guesses. None of them were good.
Emira remembered when Viney almost got in a fight with the other beast track students in the hallways, and wondered if she had a similar fate coming. She had certainly earned it, with how badly she hurt her.
The rational part of her brain, which was usually pretty strong, knew that that was probably not going to happen. Unfortunately, Emira was too emotionally frazzled to listen to it.
Another option was the spell. Perhaps she wanted all of Emira’s notes on the spell, so she could use them to keep improving it. That was more likely, still though Emira wasn’t sure.
Emira thought about not going, but that wasn’t an option. She had already apologized for the passages and spilled her heart out, which had been extremely embarrassing, but she didn’t know how Viney felt about either of those things. Her empty stare had said a lot on Friday, but not with any actual words.
Whatever Viney wanted to meet Emira for, she deserved to be heard.
Class soon started, with the teacher talking at the front of the room, jolting Emira out of her thoughts.
She tried to focus, with little success, for the rest of the school day.
By the time her last class dismissed, she felt like she might actually puke. Sitting on the note all day and waiting for school to end was fraying her nerves.
Emira walked slowly to her locker after class, putting her books away. She then told Ed that she’d catch up with him later, before heading towards the back exit of the school. There was a wide field of space between the back exit and the grudgby court, which is probably where Viney wanted to meet.
When Emira walked out the back door, Viney was already waiting for her along the back wall of the school. She hesitated, but she had committed to doing this.
Emira took a deep breath, then walked towards her. Viney watched her approach silently, waiting to speak until she was only a few feet away. “Thank you for coming.” She said in an even tone. She looked composed and determined, like nothing was going to get in her way. She didn’t seem angry anymore, or at least she was far less mad than she had been.
“Anytime.” Though Emira wanted to avoid Viney, she wasn’t lying when she said that. She couldn’t resist the other witch, couldn’t stay away.
Viney nodded. “I just wanted to clear some things up, after last week.” Her cheeks gained a slight pink as she spoke, but her expression remained serious. “I’m sorry about how I treated you last week. I was angry and I took it out on you.”
“I deserved it.” Emira cut in, since she was the one who hurt Viney in the first place.
“Still,” Viney shook her head. “I overreacted. You tried to explain, but I wouldn’t listen.” She brought her hands together, in front of her body. “It hurt so much, learning that you only cared about the passages. All I could do was lash out. I know now that there was more to it than that.”
Emira understood the feeling, the pain of losing trust in someone. How hard it was to regain that trust. “I get it.” She replied, watching Viney carefully. It seemed like Viney might actually forgive her, which she had never expected to happen.
“For Friday too, I should apologize.” Viney continued, but Emira raised one hand to interject.
“Wait, I’m the one who should apologize for Friday.” Emira insisted. Viney looked surprised at her assertion. “I went there to apologize, but I really overstepped your boundaries. I messed up that conversation pretty badly.” Emira could feel her face heating up as she remembered what she said that day, what she confessed to.
Viney just shook her head. “We both did. I didn’t mean to rebuke you.” She looked right into Emira’s eyes, her burning gaze impossible to look away from. “In fact, you left so fast I didn’t have time to process what you said, let alone respond.” Now Viney was blushing, still maintaining eye contact.
Her blush, the way her hands were nervously held together, the small hint of a smile on her face. Was Viney saying what Emira thought she was?
Emira’s heart was pounding. “You wanted to respond?” She asked in a light tone, barely able to breath.
“Yes.” Viney stepped closer to Emira, shortening the distance between them. “I’ve been falling for you too, all this time.” She reached forward and took one of Emira’s hands with both of hers, lifting it to a comfortable height. She rubbed her thumb over the back of Emira’s hand, sending a jolt of electricity down Emira’s spine. “Will you go out with me?”
If Emira had felt faint earlier, that was nothing compared to this moment. “I would love to, yes.” She replied, bringing her other hand to join with Viney’s. She was smiling ear to ear, overcome with joy.
Viney beamed back at her, the first smile Emira had seen from her in a long time. She looked absolutely radiant. Emira wanted to kiss her, could she do that? She didn’t know, so she asked.
“Can I kiss you?” Emira let go of Viney’s hands and brought her right hand up to Viney’s cheek, placing her finger against it gently. Her skin was warm to the touch.
“Please do.” Viney smiled up at Emira softly.
With that invitation, Emira slowly leaned in. She moved her hand down to Viney’s shoulder, tilting her head as not to bump noses. Her eyes flicked shut when she was close, and she pressed her lips against Viney’s in a chaste kiss.
Viney returned the kiss firmly, just for a moment, before Emira pulled away. The two locked eyes again, and both broke out in a smile.
“So, when did you start to fall for me?” Emira asked with a smirk, bringing her hand down to rest against Viney’s waist. She didn’t want to stop touching her, now that she could.
Viney reciprocated the gesture, bringing her right hand up to Emira’s waist, her gentle touch sending a flurry of sparks. “It’s hard to say exactly when, I think the first time I realized it was when you met Puddles.”
“Oh?” Emira raised one eyebrow in question.
“Your face was too cute, when you pet her for the first time.” Viney chuckled. “How about you?” She turned the question around.
Emira thought about it for a moment. “Do you remember the first time we studied together?”
Viney nodded, grinning. “You mean when you studied near me?” She asked in a playful tone.
“Yes, then,” Emira smiled back at her. “When you told me about mixing magic, I thought you were stunning. I fell for you more every day since.”
Viney moved her arms, reaching up to wrap them behind Emira’s neck. “I’m glad you did.” She said, pulling Emira forward so she could lean up and kiss her. This was their second kiss; it felt right.
After, Viney released Emira and stepped back, her cheeks as flushed as Emira felt. They both took a moment to breath, to relish in their new happiness.
“We should head back towards the school.” Viney said after a minute, gesturing towards the building.
Emira nodded. “Alright.” She reached out to take Viney’s hand. “Where should we go on our first date?” Emira asked. The pair started walking back towards the school as they talked.
“Would you be opposed to the library?” Viney gripped her hand firmly, as if not wanting to let her go. “I’ve been meaning to visit and look at illusion spell books.”
“Sounds great.” Emira gently swung their hands as they walked. “Ed can’t disturb us there; he’s banned.”
Viney laughed at that, a beautiful sound. “Perfect.”
The two reached the school and went back inside, walking through the now empty hallways.
They continued to plan their first date, picking a day and time for it. They talked about the lack of progress Viney made on the spell while they were fighting, how Ed was making up for his mistakes, and how excited they were to take their relationship to the next level.
Even when they had to part, to walk home to different parts of town, Emira carried the warmth of Viney’s hand, of her lips, with her.
Even though she knew relationships were hard work, she was prepared to give it 100 percent. Her parents might give her trouble about the relationship and she would certainly fight with Viney again in the future, but Emira was up for the challenge. They had already overcome so much, it felt like they could take on anything. There were no shortcuts here, but Emira didn’t need them.
Like a griffin flying in the sky, one who could coincidentally use healing magic, Emira’s heart was soaring.

. Nicholas Scratch x Reader .
Prologue  |  Part One |
{PART TWO}
Nick told himself that he would try and forget everything about his experience in Hell, his experience with...him. But that meant forgetting about her.
He honestly didn’t know what his state of mind would be like if he hadn’t have met her. And honestly, he couldn’t help but compare.
Though it wasn’t exactly her fault, Sabrina could never understand what her father put him through because of her. Coupled with her lack of even trying, her wish for him to just sweep the experience under the rug and go back to how things were left him feeling more than a little resentful.
That doesn’t mean that his now ex-girlfriend didn’t try to help him in whatever way she could, but once she revealed her new royal status, Nick’s remaining feelings of responsibility towards the blonde Morningstar withered away along with the last ties of their relationship.
Now stuck dealing with his many issues alone, the tortured boy clung to the only achingly fleeting memories that kept him grounded in rationality instead of spiraling into illusions of the dreadful abyss looming in his haunted mind. And as he replayed the images of the illuminating figure who reminded him that he was still human and that his heart was still beating, to his displeasure he’d found that he wished he had more.
She visited him exactly 12 times.
While (y/n) did explain to him that her powers were limited while in Hell and it took a lot out of her to be there, he couldn’t stop himself from pining for her when she was absent. At first, images of Sabrina were what kept him going, and he constantly reminded himself that the girl was probably doing all she could to save him. Satan be damned, he loved her, otherwise he’d have never sacrificed himself for her in the first place.
He’d gone to Hell for Sabrina Spellman and at the time, he had no regrets.
But, as time seemed to stretch on without end, he started to break.
Nick thought himself a pretty gifted warlock, and had long since placed protection charms over his mind in case anything or anyone with malicious intentions ever tried him.
He doesn’t know what he was thinking at the time he convinced Sabrina, the coven, and himself that it was a good idea to use his own body as the flesh achrenon, but he does admit hubris and naïveté must have played a part. And in the moment of that final ‘I love you’ to his girlfriend, he accepted his fate and was determined to face it no matter what happened to him.
Unfortunately for him, you can’t guard against the Devil.
Lucifer made quick work of him, if he was being honest, and Nick soon found himself in a never-ending cycle of pain and torture that he couldn’t ever have even nearly dreamed up beforehand. Suddenly, his life’s outlook was being eternally violated by the Dark Lord without reprieve. And from what it was looking out to be, it was only a matter of time before he completely broke and the Dark Lord once again took up his mantle of dominating Hell and eventually Earth.
All that would be left of Nick and his sacrifice would be an empty shell of a person who no longer knows how to exist as one.
After a while, it became hard for Nick to separate the daughter from the father in his intense resentment, and he’d gotten to the point where his mind was becoming absolutely blank as it gave in to the invading presence of the sheer evil and chaos he’d been fighting against for so long...
And then an angel descended, and he’d nearly cried out in tears and praise for the false God.
The warmth and comfort his angel brought him blessed him with a near orgasmic experience, abruptly tugging him from the brink of despair. For a moment, he questioned if she, if he - was even real, and if Lucifer was really trying that hard to live up to his name as the harbinger of lost hope and doom. But when those blessed hands caressed his face, and those saintly eyes met his own, all he could feel was intense relief, and shame.
Shame over who he was, where he'd gotten himself, and how he’d gotten there.
Surely someone who dedicated their life and soul to the Devil himself didn’t deserve the presence and grace of a literal angel in the darkest moment of his life?
So he cried. He cried at her grace, and at her mercy. Even after she coaxed him down from his delirium and explained who she was, he wept at the sheer exuberance he felt that she had even appeared - let alone helped him - when he was forgetting what it felt like to feel anything but pain and suffering. She was his angel, godly or not, and he thanked his lucky stars that it was his Fate to be able to meet her in that moment.
Soon, between her visits, it was her face, not Sabrina’s, that he’d found kept him going. (Y/n) became his symbol of hope, his new god, his only savior. Disillusioned with giving his life to people who only harmed him (such as the Morningstar duo), (y/n) became his new religion as he found himself praying to the stars and the Fates for her speedy return. And every time he was graced with her presence, he understood that whatever was written in the stars for him couldn’t be so bad if he was able to meet her in between the lines.
And when he’d found himself suddenly out of Hell and in Sabrina’s arms, he was fully ready to keep his newfound faith close to his heart and out of sight of others. Everything that had happened to him was incredibly personal, whether it be his time with you or with the Dark Lord. But when Sabrina revealed her title as Queen of Hell to him and effectively admitted that everything he went through - his sacrifice, his pain - was all for nothing, Nick felt as if time had stopped and his heart caved in.
He tried to be okay with Sabrina. He tried his hardest to cope as best as he knew how, which admittedly did more harm than good. But without your presence to pull him from the brink, he found himself spiraling down the dark depths of his memories with no end and without support. Eventually, the pent up resentment and mind games the Dark Lord still insisted on playing with him after his escape got to him, and he lashed out. The coven, Sabrina; no one actually understood him or the anguish he was going through. The increased sense of isolation brought up his darkest thoughts and feelings, and soon he’d found himself cut off not only from Sabrina but the rest of the coven as well. As the witches found themselves caught off guard by the arrival of the pagans, Nick instead found himself often staring up at the sky, alone, searching for his hope.
While the witches were more concerned about the moon, Nick was waiting for the stars.
And, as the familiar warmth bloomed across his chest, he found himself smiling until it felt like his face would split open. As he watched the glowing figure approach him from the other side of the field, he knew, finally, the person he placed his faith in didn’t let him down.
Author's Note: I know I promised a double update, the next chapter will be released in a few hours! I need to edit and format it... and eat dinner lmao :)

Less than six minutes
Tumblr media
A request by @fandomnationwhore for twilight. Where the Cullens adopt the reader who’s a Winchester a young huntress and they don’t know she’s a supernatural hunter until they see her kill a rouge vampire with ease.
Also this will be my first twilight fanfic, so I hope I live up to y’all expectations.
__________________________________________
It has been about six years since the Cullens adopted me. Six years, since I last saw my brothers and father, well biological anyway. I missed them and worried for them. But they aren’t my only family. I have the Cullens.
My father, Carlisle, a wonderful doctor and father. My mother, Esme, a lover of antiques, history, with an astoundingly high level to love, especially for her kids. My sister, Alice, a quirky little vixen, with the intellect and love to prove it. My brother, Jasper, a reformed pain in my ass, and he knows it. My sister, Rosalie, a beauty with the strength and heart of the beast. My brother, Emmett, mainly brawns, sometimes brains, and all heart. And finally my brother Edward the original and main pain in my ass.
My loving and compassionate family, but most importantly, my vegan vampire, family.
In the beginning, I was scared as all hell. Not saying much, being extremely racist, like my biological father taught me. But over time and with several stern talks, I evolved and changed.
The Olympic Coven is my family. Family doesn’t start with blood, and it sure as hell doesn’t end in it. They don’t know my bloodline or who I was before. And I intend to keep it that way. My heart aches everytime I think about them finding out. Feeling their judgemental stares and hatred. Knowing they would never, ever want me near them again. Seeing their laid back and calm demeanor towards me change to cold and distant void.
But what hurts, the most painful part, that will hurt not only me but them is that they will have to kill me for their protection. For them to look past the birthdays, game nights, dances, jokes and laughs for them to take me apart, break me and take my life and dispose my body, as if I never existed or joined their coven, no not coven, family. As if I never joined their family.
Knowing the Tears and arguements that will shed over the matter just because I broke their hearts and betrayed their trust, kindness, and most of all love. But I can’t let them know. For their sake and mine. They must never know what I used to be.
Walking down the front steps of my home. I smile seeing Edward and Jasper walking up the stone path that connect the Cullen home to mine. Since I’m human, Mom and Dad thought it would be best for me to have my own small place. Since I still have a period, and am human.
“G’Morning,” I say stepping off the final step.
“Morning Y/N,” they say in unison as Jasper stops infront of me while Edward gives me a side hug. Jasper was still learning to control himself with blood.
So we always kept a distance from each other. But we did hang out sometimes, just the two of us.
“So,”I say clapping my hands and rubbing them “what is the plan for today?” I query.
“Well for us,” he gestures to Edward and himself “hunting rouges. While you stay in the house.”
My skin tingled as if someone threw a cold bucket on me. There have been a few rouges running through our territory these past weeks. Mainly staying out on the outskirts of it.
“I’m guessing they’re moving in then,” I say.
“Yeah,” says Edward, “But don’t be worried or scared. We will handle them. Like we always do,” he finishes.
I give him a small smile. “Let me come with you guys,” I say making the duo look at me in like a mad man.
“Not a chance. You are human. Just you being out side the house makes you vulnerable,” says Jasper, as Edward let’s out an exasperated sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Why would you even think that?”
“Simple,” I say putting one hand up.
“Number one, I can hold my own. Number two, we have no idea how man rouges there are. Number three, if someone needs help, I can be there with animal blood bags. An extra meal or snack never hurts, especially in battle
“Number four, bait. Use me as bait, lure them out, and kill them. Swift and easy. I’ll tell you now, that I refuse to watch to guys get hurt just because their wasn’t enough people, power, or a poorly made plan,” I say crossing my arms and shifting my weight to the side.
Jasper sighs, shaking his head in disapproval, while Edward glares at me. They both know my points, all be it, reckless are valid. A bait plan could be easy, just as it was dangerous. Having the whole coven helps with strength in numbers since they didn’t know how many rouges it would be.
I could tell they were about to say ‘yes’ when Carlisle sped up to me and says “fine. One chance. You get one chance and no bait. You are to stay strictly with Alice,”
I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding in. I flashed a quick smile. “Thanks pops.” I say giving him a quick hug, letting my arms wrap around his waist and back to my side before he can react.
Running back into the house. I walk past the kitchen, into the second back room. The room was filled with everything for a hunter. Books about lore, witchcraft,a few grimoires. Weapons of all kinds. And a few layout maps of the Cullen territory, la push, and forks. A couple emergency bags, primed and ready in case of a quick getaway. A rack of car keys waiting to be used.
The door was always locked. The key was always around my neck on my necklace. None of the Cullens knew what was inside this room. Not a single one.
I grab a double barrel push action shotgun and load it with the bullet version of a solution I created. It’s strong enough to burn through any kind or type of vampire. Specifically made to pierce under the skin and infect the inside of the vampire, yet completely harmless to all othe species.
Next, I grab a micarta grip high carbon steel machete. And, slip on arm sheeth to place and hide the machete. A present from Emmett, since they knew I had an obsession with weapon, but never knew why or how.
Finally, I grab some small bottles of animal blood. They weren’t the freshest, but they were good enough for today. And a lighter.
Putting on one of Jasper’s jackets to cover my scent with a baseball cap. I place the blood and lighter in the jackets pocket. Grab the shotgun and walk out the door.
Jasper was the only one left in the front yard. His side was facing towards me.“They left already?” I ask as Jasper stares curiously at the shot gun.
“Yes,” he say running his finger through this hair, “do you know how to use that thing?”
“More than you do, Major,” I mock as he turns around and crouches.
Normally I would ride on Rosalie or Emmett’s back. “You sure about this Jasp—,”
“I got it,” he says courtly, “ trust me.”
“Alright,” I say hopping onto Jaspers back.
“Also, nice jacket,” he jokes takings off. I could barely hear or feel Jaspers foot steps as he hit the ground. Only feeling and hearing the wind blow through my face and ear as my head lay on his shoulder. Jasper’s hair tickles my neck as he continues to run.
Yet, just as quickly as he started to run, Jasper stops. “We’re here,” he says.
I climb off this back and give him a silent ‘thank you’. Alice was the only one here with us. But I know the rest of the family can’t be far off.
As soon as I open my mouth to greet her. She puts up a hand. “No,do not greet me,when your life could be endangered. I don’t agree with Carlisle’s decision. Which is why I volunteered to watch you,” she finishes, then puts down her hand.
“Understandable and respectable,” I say as Jasper gives Alice a quick kiss and zooms off. We were close to the border and right next to a small clearing where we would lure the rouges to.
I get into a defensive position. Waiting to hear something, anything that would give away the rouges position.
It had been about ten minutes of just silently waiting. No activity, no movements, no sounds out of the ordinary. Biting the inside of my lip,my stomach flips as I continue to scan the surrounding area.
Looking across the field, I see something shine in the distance. Silently, I crouch down on the ground. Since it rained a few days ago. Mud covered the whole area.
I lightly tap Alice and point to the direction of the light that was approaching quickly.
“Shit, they are here,” Alice screams running up the rouge.
I gasp seeing the rouge grab Alice by the throat as I circle it from behind. The rouge growls looming over Alice as she tries break from its grasp.
Running up from behind rouge, and unsheshing the machete. I hack it’s head off. Leaving it to fall limply on the ground.
I could feel more appoaching. As Alice looked at me in disbelief. I toss her one of the bottles of blood.
“Fuel up,” I say whipping out a lighter, lighting it and setting the rouges head on fire. “I’ll explain later. But for now we need to fight.”
I pick up the shotgun and fire as two rouges approach. One gasp and screams as the bullet hits them. As the solution melts and burns their skin, all while infecting them with vertigo and hallucinations. The other rouge runs off, but doesn’t get far. Seeing my family has arrived.
I grab my machete, and chop off the poor bastards head, leaving it to roll onto the mud. Pulling out the lighter, again.
I looked up to see them staring at me,frozen in place. Not a single one moves. As we stare at each other.
Breaking eye contact, and with slow and steady movements. I light the rouge and its head on fire.
My heart pounded as I toss the lighter and shotgun into the distance. My shaking while I take of the jacket, toss it to the side. And put my arms up.
No has said anything. Not a single word. No has moved. Only staring.
I watch as their faces of shock turn to others. Just from the look on their faces I could tell how they were feeling.Jasper looks filled with anger as tried to calm himself and not lash out at me. Emmett was filled with disbelief; hoping, wishing that the event he saw before him were a dream. Rosalie was filled with hatred; knowing that I had come into their family and had done nothing but lie. Alice face struck my heart. Seeing her filled with sadness, I was always closer to her. Edward’s face was stoic and cold. He eyes were dead and blank staring at me sending a shiver down my spine.
My siblings hated me. They...they despised me. They ...I couldn’t bare to look at my siblings any longer.
Looking at my mother, Esme, my skin grows cold. I could feel her disappointment from where I stood. How I broke her heart. Finally, I look towards Carlisle. He nurturing and fathering posture and visage had long since gone. Being replaced by shock and disbelief.
Yet I knew, they all felt one thing in common;
Betrayal.
Six years. It had been about six years since the Cullen’s adopted me. Six years since I saw my biological family.
Six years that had been ruin in less than six minutes.
