Tav and Karlach (in the Modern AU where they're not constantly physically pushing themselves with their adventuring together) spend a lot of time working out in various ways. They vary what they do day to day (especially as Tav works as a personal trainer and has martial arts practice and shapes her weeks around that) but overall they will go for:
Stretching - Tav is much more flexible than Karlach, but Karlach still properly warms up these days (Tav being older than her and still in great shape has pushed her into more proper care of herself than her younger years.)
Aerobic Activity - They both prefer to be out doing stuff rather than stuck in a gym so they'll go run or swim laps. If they can do a trail run or swim in the ocean or a lake, all the better! Tav is much faster on a sprint but Karlach can go a lot longer.
Weight Work - Both like free weights over gym equipment and vary their routines for different parts of their bodies. Karlach is much stronger than Tav, and does a lot of heavy lifting in addition to reps which is where Tav tends to focus.
Karlach being ex-military and Tav being a martial artist they both spend a fair amount of time with punching bags/dummies, and again, Tav's focus is more speed and accuracy whereas Karlach's is pure, brute strength.
Of course, the after gym cool-down routine is important too! They both shower up after to not fucking stink (though they're both kindof into each other with that, but that's for their own time, not when dealing with other people), and walk home or out to eat - today is pastrami on rye and a fuck-ton of fries at a favored shop along the river.
They like lots of other athletic ventures too - from sports (here playing beach volleyball with Lae'zel and Shadowheart - K&T won but only by a hair) to dance (here in modern dance classes with Wyll (hence barefoot and light, simple clothes) - wearing Karlach out) to martial arts (a normal activity for Tav - Karlach is trying it out though.)

Hello! Happy to see requests are open again!
Could I request the seven Obey Me brothers with an s/o who's a jewelry maker?
Obey me Brothers + jewelry maker s/o
Lucifer
He likes the concept of jewelry more than he actually likes it.
The style and fashion on how it’s made, plus the reasons why, have always fascinated Lucifer. Like any piece of art. However, he doesn’t really wear jewelry.
He has a few ceremonial pieces for balls & diplomatic occasions, and of course his chain in his demon form, but that’s about it.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a watch chain. One of interlocking silver & gold pieces to symbolize their bond, as well as something practical he could wear everyday.
Mammon
As the Avatar of Greed, of course Mammon loves jewelry.
He loves being around it. Loves touching it. Loves owning it. All the shiny, intrinsic value of it all.
He’s honestly never really cared about any of the pieces he’s owned (just hoarding them like his little ravens) until s/o gave him something. He would cherish and keep it close. It’s a real problem on photoshoots.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a new set of earrings for his ear. That way he could wear them around all the time and change out the studs with one or the other depending on his style.
Levi
He’s not a real jewelry person.
The only kind he’s ever owned his costume jewelry for his cosplay, or merch jewelry from his favorite characters. More for collectors’ value & clout than real money.
Levi thinks it’s pretty cool they can make pieces though, and commissions several for his outfits if his vision for a certain accessory doesn’t exist.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a new gaming wristlet to put on his handhelds. Of course he can’t have anything on his fingers, as it will screw up his accuracy, but he can use it to keep hold of his games and fun charms, and think of s/o while he plays.
Satan
Much like Lucifer (though he’ll never admit it) Satan appreciates jewelry for its art.
The symbolic and time period importance of a piece interests him, and he’s also read several books of smithing & traditional jewelry making to know about it.
He would like to learn as well and asks s/o to teach him. Then they have a hobby together.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a lapel pin he could wear on his jacket. Something with a flat steam so, when he’s out reading, he can also use it as a bookmark.
Asmo
Asmo as literally hundreds of pieces of jewelry. Of all kinds.
Most of them are gifts from admirers, but he’s also purchased a lot of them as fashion accessories. Every new trend needs to be owned by him.
He genuinely loves every piece he owns, but the ones from s/o are the only ones he honestly re-wears as he usually doesn’t like to repeat a look.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a ring. Something bright & flashy, and he would constantly tell people it’s their engagement ring; which annoys s/o but Asmo is so happy when he says it.
Beel
Beel doesn’t really get jewelry.
Likes it’s cool and all. Shiny and everything. But he thinks it just gets in the way of what you’re trying to do and is just another thing to worry about. Plus he’s broken a lot of it not thinking about his strength.
The only exception he makes is for his leather necklace & bracelet, and that’s because Belphie gave it to him. So he would probably make an exception for s/o’s gift as well.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a bracelet the same style as his human outfit look. It’s a strong enough metal weave that he can’t easily break it, plus it looks really strong. He’s always liked bronze more than traditional metals if he had to choose.
Belphie
Thinks jewelry is pointless. Just another thing you have to take off before you go to sleep, or it just sits in a drawer.
But anything [Y/N] does is of interest to him.
He would like to watch them make the pieces. Something about turning just ordinary pieces into something beautiful really moves him, and he can watch them for hours.
If s/o was to make him a piece of jewelry, he would want a necklace with an amethyst stone. He doesn’t have to take it off when he goes to sleep. Amethyst is said to help promote restful sleep. And purple is his favorite color. Belphie would wear it all the time.

My thoughts on the possible gojo's return as yuji and sukuna stan.
Tbh I had no intention of writing this because the chp itself doesn't have much to discuss except that last panel.. It was another todo and yuji masterclass which I think everybody expected. Todo proved why he is such a good brother and him tricking sukuna effectively made me wonder about the accuracy of his theory on resonance. Although I did feel sad that todo didn't ask sukuna about his type lol..
About that last panel before I comment on it I want to share my honest thoughts that I had when gojo died. I expected it and his afterlife scene was perfect for me except for two things.
Him not remembering his students especially yuji when he literally wanted to damage sukuna for yuji's sake during the fight..
Him not having a single flashback not during his fight with sukuna and not with his students after his death..
These two things were really odd but at the same time i also don't believe that to solve them it's necessary for him to be alive. But there is one thing I was sure of and that is his job as the strongest was done.. And now it's up to Yuji and his students to carry it further.
So, in all honesty I am neutral towards this reveal.. Because after seeing yuji's progress and the revelations atp I don't think gege is going to shift focus on gojo.. Like we all know it's yuji who possess the ability to separate megumi from sukuna and is weakening sukuna's rct and ce output. It's not something gojo can do. Moreover there is no way gojo is coming back without being nerfed... That is if he actually comes back....
Of course there are talks about it being other possibilities and some of them are really convincing but I am not talking about them as we will know about it eventually in next chap.
What actually irritated me and prompted me to write this was the discourse happening around it, from yuji fans worrying about gojo stealing yuji's shine ,fans already declaring sukuna on the verge of death and the worst of all is that sukuna remembering gojo as he taught him love which is the most ridiculous claim I have heard from not just shippers but general fans too..
It's actually so ridiculous because readers know it's yuji who has caused any change in sukuna not gojo.. Sukuna literally chided gojo and kashimo for wanting love and made fun of them and then immediately declared that love is worthless is enough to tell that he recognizes the effort but doesn't intend to indulge in that at all... Gojo tried to reach him out through strength which sukuna rejected. It's the truth that people need to know.
I don't know why people want to think sukuna is on the verge of death lol.. We had not had his ct reveal at all and hiten. And I think people either forget or don't want to recognize that sukuna is not just a villain. he is equally important to the plot too just like yuji. He isn't dying at least in this way.
Although the reveal that todo being there to help yuta kill kenjaku kinda was funny because yuta fans wanted to convince everyone that he speed blitzed kenjaku and killed him only for them to be wrong.
I definitely believe that gege is really doing something that we will love. he hasn't disappointed before and he won't now... If anything now I am actually excited about what possibly could it be and what it means for our cast. As I am not going to let myself sway by the opinions of others.

Legend of Grimrock (2012): An Overlong and Overdue Review
Ah, Legend of Grimrock, a foe that has seemed implacable since I was 14 or 15 years old and it was a relatively recent release. My first and to date only experience with old school grid based dungeon crawlers. If you’re interested in the genre and looking for a simple yea or nay on whether this should be your starting point, then the fact I’ve recommended this title should be enough, but if you want to know a little more then keep reading.
(Beware, there will likely be spoilers ahead. If you care about a 12 year old game with a pretty threadbare plot being spoiled for you then you may want to simply take my recommendation at face value.)
So firstly, I’m going to briefly address any Steam Deck users that may be reading this, since that’s what I used for my recent run where I beat the game after some 10 years of accepting defeat. The game IS playable. It runs fine, doesn’t crash, the UI is readable, and the whole thing plus any mods you might be looking at take up practically 0 of what precious little drive space the Deck has (this game and its sequel come in at less than 2.5gb combined). However, the controls are certainly, let’s say, interesting. You will definitely want to take some time to look at and rebind them to your liking, and even then your actions will likely be significantly more sluggish than they would be with a keyboard & mouse. Still, this issue is both very surmountable and hardly the game’s fault since the Deck literally wasn’t even an idea on paper for years after Grimrock’s 2012 release.
As for PC users, I’m pretty sure that you could make this thing run on your Dad’s Amiga from 1991 if you tried hard enough. Grimrock probably puts less strain on even the weakest of computers than opening Notepad its so tiny.
Legend of Grimrock is, from this genre noob’s standpoint, extremely accessible and very content rich for such a small game. You can save at any time, life crystals (which are an autosave, full heal, and resurrection all rolled into one) are usually easy to reach, and food and healing are common enough that, unless you’re a 14-15 year old girl with no idea what she’s doing and no concept of resource conservation (imagine that? Couldn’t be me.) you will PROBABLY never run into issues with it. Combat is the very definition of simple, but its emphasis on manoeuvring and positioning and a steady drip feed of new enemies is enough to keep it from getting boring. Also, this game is secrets galore. Quite literally secrets within secrets within secrets sometimes, which brings me to a few somewhat spoilery recommendations to help you along in your adventure. Consider it helpful advice from a now slightly more seasoned dungeoneer:
*If you intend to have a ranged rogue character in your back line, make them a Minotaur. Their accuracy penalty does not matter as ranged attacks ALWAYS hit and the damage still scales with strength, making Minotaurs actually the most optimal choice by far.
Make a save called ‘hole’, because you will be jumping into every pit you find and will want to save beforehand. Why? To find secrets of course!
Before doing anything that looks important or going to a new floor you should save. This game LOVES monster closets, often dropping combat on you with little warning up to and including teleporting enemies all around you which, if you are not ready, is DEATH.
Do not be tempted to spread your characters’ skills out too much. Investing in any more than 2 or 3 at once per party member will render them little more than a virtual meat puppet you now have to drag around and feed for the whole game.
At the same time, don’t try to hard spec into one skill. You will not get enough levels over the course of the game to do anything but get that one skill to 50 and you WILL feel the effects of that crippling overspecialisation.
Beware floors 3, 6, 9, and 10. I won’t say why, but be prepared for a hard time and don’t be too proud to look up a guide for them if you get stuck. You can figure it all out yourself, but a couple of these puzzles and encounters require some big logical reaches in my opinion and I just looked up the solutions after 10-15 minutes of frustration.
Lastly, mods. The workshop support for this game is great and you can make and upload your own dungeons, but there isn’t that much on there for this game. Despite that, there is enough good stuff on there to give you plenty to do if you’ve beaten the game, want more, but don’t want to/can’t move onto Legend of Grimrock 2 or some older games like Eye of the Beholder. I’d recommend The Mine of Malen Vael as a solid way of squeezing 2-3 hours of more playtime out of the game. You can even import your own OP endgame party from your last save with all their stats and xp, only to learn it was good equipment that carried you through the end of the main game! The adventure continues!
And so ends this review. I should really manage my time better, huh?
Legend of Grimrock was launched in 2012, published and developed by Almost Human, and is available on Windows, Linux, OS X, iOS, and the Nintendo Switch. It is also 75% off on Steam at the time of writing (05/07/2024).

What are some challenging concepts for beginners learning data science, such as statistics and machine learning?
Hi,
For beginners in data science, several concepts can be challenging due to their complexity and depth.
Here are some of the most common challenging concepts in statistics and machine learning:
Tumblr media
Statistics:
Probability Distributions: Understanding different probability distributions (e.g., normal, binomial, Poisson) and their properties can be difficult. Knowing when and how to apply each distribution requires a deep understanding of their characteristics and applications.
Hypothesis Testing: Hypothesis testing involves formulating null and alternative hypotheses, selecting appropriate tests (e.g., t-tests, chi-square tests), and interpreting p-values. The concepts of statistical significance and Type I/Type II errors can be complex and require careful consideration.
Confidence Intervals: Calculating and interpreting confidence intervals for estimates involves understanding the trade-offs between precision and reliability. Beginners often struggle with the concept of confidence intervals and their implications for statistical inference.
Regression Analysis: Multiple regression analysis, including understanding coefficients, multicollinearity, and model assumptions, can be challenging. Interpreting regression results and diagnosing issues such as heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation require a solid grasp of statistical principles.
Machine Learning:
Bias-Variance Tradeoff: Balancing bias and variance to achieve a model that generalizes well to new data can be challenging. Understanding overfitting and underfitting, and how to use techniques like cross-validation to address these issues, requires careful analysis.
Feature Selection and Engineering: Selecting the most relevant features and engineering new ones can significantly impact model performance. Beginners often find it challenging to determine which features are important and how to transform raw data into useful features.
Algorithm Selection and Tuning: Choosing the appropriate machine learning algorithm for a given problem and tuning its hyperparameters can be complex. Each algorithm has its own strengths, limitations, and parameters that need to be optimized.
Model Evaluation Metrics: Understanding and selecting the right evaluation metrics (e.g., accuracy, precision, recall, F1 score) for different types of models and problems can be challenging.
Advanced Topics:
Deep Learning: Concepts such as neural networks, activation functions, backpropagation, and hyperparameter tuning in deep learning can be intricate. Understanding how deep learning models work and how to optimize them requires a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects.
Dimensionality Reduction: Techniques like Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and t-Distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (t-SNE) for reducing the number of features while retaining essential information can be difficult to grasp and apply effectively.
To overcome these challenges, beginners should focus on building a strong foundation in fundamental concepts through practical exercises, online courses, and hands-on projects. Seeking clarification from mentors or peers and engaging in data science communities can also provide valuable support and insights.

Where to even begin? (a primer on the War of Investiture)
Well, first, because FSYY is canon in this AU, Azure Lion, Yellowtusk, and Peng would all be former Jie Sect immortals assisting the Shang dynasty, until they got subdued by Wenshu, Puxian, and Sage Randeng of the Chan Sect——who, because FSYY thinks all the popular Buddhist deities should be Daoists in a trenchcoat, were not yet Bodhisattvas and Buddha.
Still, the Chan Sect was allied with the Western Sect, Buddhism's predecessors, led by Sage Cundi/Zhunti and Jieyin the not-Amitabha. If we were to add the slightest historical accuracy into a story where gunpowder weapons and organized Daoism exist in 11th century BCE China, they would probably be Vedic sages and powerful Rishis.
However, to understand this AU's Camel Ridge Trio, we have to understand their factions first.
I have mentioned before that I thought the Chan Sect was at least a little prejudiced against yaoguais, as opposed to the Jie Sect and their indiscriminate admission of both human and monster disciples, so let's play with that further.
Tumblr media
Let's make the Jie Sect's indiscriminate admission both a strength and a curse——they were indeed one big, close-knitted brotherhood under Patriarch Tongtian, who would take in the outcasts and rejects of other immortal masters, without realizing that sometimes, they got rejected for good reasons, like practicing horrible plague magic or eating people.
Let's make them even more isolated from humanity, since, in the novel, most Jie immortals lived on islands in the middle of the ocean, as opposed to their mountain-dwelling Chan Sect rivals. As a result, they had little knowledge of King Zhou's cruelty, nor reasons to care.
In fact, many of their rank-and-file yaoguai members might actually be okay with the brutality of the Shang culture, since in this AU, much like the historical Shang dynasty, they practiced slavery and did human sacrifices, which, hey, more free food for them!
But most importantly, Senior Brother Wen Zhong, who worked as the Shang king's Grand Tutor, wanted their help, so of course they'd go.
What? They killed our Daoist brothers? How dare they! First these Chan Sect pricks dragged our Patriarch into that shady Investiture project, and now they were trying to destroy us as a sect, just because we threatened their power and influence by not caring about their impossible admission standards! We'll show them!
In the novel, the Chan Sect had a huge "informed goodness" problem, mostly because there were only so many times you could pull the "It's Fated to Happen!" card to a bunch of angry people whose friends/family/sectmates you just killed.
But let's not villainize them. Let's make them just as fiercely protective of their own, believe in a righteous cause, yet still be prejudiced for reasons that made complete sense to them.
Let them be absolutely horrified and disgusted by the human sacrifice and blood rituals, without realizing that such practices were not solely the result of yaoguai influence, but long preceded King Zhou and Su Daji.
That the scale of the sacrifices had actually been vastly reduced over time, going from hundreds to tens, and ultimately, all of these killings happened to placate the Kings of Ghosts, dead Shang kings who ruled over the proto-Underworld of this AU and essentially held their people hostage with blessings and curses.
Let taking in a disciple be the most important decision in their immortal lives, a great investment as well as a huge responsibility, so they absolutely could not afford any mistakes in their judgment.
Show them trying to de-escalate and sympathize with the angry, grieving Jie folks at first, telling them that King Zhou really needed to pay for his crimes and Grand Tutor Wen was going down with a sinking ship, yet still failing to make an impact.
Show how they did not enjoy killing their fellow Daoists, even if they knew it was Fated to Happen. Let they be gradually fed up, run out of patience, call the Jie Sect out on their "An Eye for an Eye" bullshit, and eventually become guilty of the same bullshit once the cycle of revenge was in full swing, and Shen Gongbao just kept adding fuel to this raging dumpster fire by turning their disciples and potential allies against them.
Let both sides resolve to increasingly violent responses, stop caring about mortal casualties as they basically rearrange the landscape with vast formations and dangerous magical treasures, and become vindictive because of their losses.
Show the Jie immortals luring newly awakened young yaoguais into their ranks as cannon fodders, with the promise of food and power, and the Chan immortals starting to just kill yaoguais on sight at the late stages of the war, both to deprive their opponents of potential recruits, and because what they witnessed had cemented their beliefs that cultivated beasts would never be more than bloodthirsty, man-eating fiends.
…Yeah, to someone who survived the War of Investiture, burning down FFM and killing half of its monkey residents would be the merciful option, unironically.
Unsatisfying Resolutions
By the time Azure and Yellowtusk were dragged out of the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation on leashes, then, as an extra insult, paraded before Patriarch Tongtian in their beastly forms (the yaoguai equivalent of nakedness) on Lao Tzu's command, they would have plenty of reasons to loathe their new masters.
For extra tragedy: imagine that they were but two of the yaoguai child soldiers who quickly rose through the ranks because of their talent, but also because their seniors had perished one by one as the war dragged on, until they were the only candidates qualified to hold the three key sub-formations inside the Ten Thousand Immortal Formation.
For a moment, they thought this would be it, that they would witness the utter and complete destruction of their sect inside their last and greatest formation, and immediately get their heads chopped off afterwards——not that they didn't deserve death for their failures.
Then Yuanshi and Tongtian's master showed up out of nowhere, basically forced the two sects into complete ceasefire under the threat of death, and left.
An extremely confusing and unsatisfying end, much like the war itself.
But, by the time the Zhou army marched into the Shang capital, by the time King Zhou perished in his flaming palace and the Three Demonesses' heads hung on a flagpole, everyone was just too exhausted to fight and glad that this shit was finally over.
Well, after the dead were called upon the Terrace of Investiture and ascended to godhood, they'd have all the time in the world to engage in their old grudges and factionalism under the Celestial Host.
The Jie Sect, their ranks heavily decimated, completely withdrew from the mainland and vowed to never participate in the affairs of mortals again.
They would become both the precursor to——and later be absorbed by——the Three Islands of Immortals in the East Sea, one of the two major gathering spots of unaligned immortals, as well as "divine beasts" like dragons, phoenix and qilins who are honestly just socially acceptable yaoguais.
Their opponents came out better, but were far from unscathed. About halfway through the war, to avenge their brother, Zhao Gongming's three sisters had unleashed their most powerful treasure, capturing the 12 masters of the Chan Sect in the Chaos Origin Golden Vessel(混元金斗), which rendered centuries of their cultivation naught and reverted them to mortal once more.
Essentially, they had to start their cultivation from the ground up, before age and mortality caught up with them again. Some would not make it. Some could, but choose not to, like Ju Liusun, Puxian, and Cihang, who willingly casted themselves into samsara out of disgust and grief, as well as a vague sense that their destiny lay elsewhere.
In the end, only 5 of the original 12 would remain: Guangcheng Zi, Chijing Zi, Taiyi, Yuding, and Wenshu——who, despite regaining his immortality in no time, quitted the Chan Sect and followed Sage Randeng into Western Sect lands.
From Deification to Monke
As previously mentioned: deification did nothing to settle old grudges. They just went about it in more subtle ways, and the JE quickly found out just how much of a hassle it was to give orders to a bunch of people who didn't want to be here in the first place.
...Guess he really shouldn't have accepted the Investiture Recruitment Project in exchange for leaving the Chan 12 alone, huh?
Even the ones who didn't hate their jobs were not exactly eager workers. A good portion of them just wanted to sit back and enjoy their eternal luxury retirement home, after dying horribly in battle. Some were the same assholes they were in life, except now they were literally gods of plagues, disasters, and ill omens.
Overall, most of the new Celestial Bureaucracy were deified Jie Sect members, and even in life, their faction was quite distant from humanity.
Now that they were gods, they had even fewer reasons to care about mortals, or feel any guilt over their sufferings. We died for your petty king and your petty wars once, isn't that enough?
Thankfully, the compilers of the Investiture did recognize that making mortal enemies work alongside each other was a terrible idea, and tried to keep them in separate departments at least.
For example, Huang Feihu and Huang Tianhua: they were made the King of Mount Tai and Prince Bingling of the Three Mountains, the former basically being the new lord of the Underworld, who was appointed with the explicit purpose of forcing the other Kings of Ghosts into submission and making sure the dead Shang rulers would not try to avenge their fallen dynasty.
Nezha, by virtue of all the people he sent into the Investiture, was one of the few who could keep the new court in line, even though Li Jing pretty much forced him into taking up JE's offer alongside him. Same for Grand Tutor Wen, who was now head of the Thunder Bureau.
Yang Jian took one look at his new coworkers, went "Nope", and returned to the kingdom of Shu because he just couldn't be bothered to get chummy with those he personally slayed, most of whom still hated his guts.
Unsurprisingly, the war did not encourage warm, fuzzy feelings about yaoguais. The ones that did get onto the Investiture were all formal disciples of the Chan and Jie Sect, like Dragon-bearded Tiger or the 28 Lunar Mansions, which did not include mercenary warlords like the Seven Monsters of Plum Mountain, or the beastly foot soldiers on the Shang side.
After all, there were only 365 positions, and Patriarch Tongtian already had to fight for the inclusion of his yaoguai students on the Investiture.
For the majority of humans and yaoguais, death earned them a grand total of nothing. And both the new Zhou court and the surviving Shang aristocrats were eager to pin the blame entirely on King Zhou and his demonic consorts; the former needed to stabilize their base of power once their last few immortal helpers left, and required the latter's cooperation, even at the cost of letting them conveniently absolve themselves of guilt.
So basically, it was all Daji and their yaoguai allies' fault. Such was how the War of the Investiture would be remembered in the official history records.
Over the next several hundred years, the Zhou dynasty slowly fractured, the Western Sect began to rise and transform in anticipation of the Buddha of the Present, and JE started offering Western Sect members internship in the hope that they might actually be motivated to do their damn jobs.
One of those interns was a Rakshasi woman wielding an iron fan, who quickly rose up the ranks of the Wind Bureau and became its new Grand Mistress.
She was met with little to no resistance; the original Grand Mistress, Lady Hanzhi, was a notorious busy-body while she was alive, whose motto was "Your business is my business!" and didn't quite understand why people might not want her help, or dislike her for constantly poking her nose into other folks' personal life.
Post-deification, she did start to feel some doubts, after Zhao Gongming's sisters ripped her a new one when she tried to socialize with them, for basically dragging their brother into the conflict that led to his death.
Old habits die hard, though, and the Wind Bureau wasn't even its own branch, just a Thunder Bureau subsidiary, leaving her with plenty of free time to gossip and organize all sorts of inter-department social events——to the point where both Wen Zhong and JE started pressuring her to tone it down.
So when PIF joined, Hanzhi was perfectly happy to help out the newbie in any ways she could. Like, this girl was ambitious, eager to make a name for herself, and actually wanted to do a good job, while Hanzhi? She was perfectly happy to hand most of her duties to someone else and resign to a lesser position where she could actually slack off and chit-chat in peace.
Meanwhile, in the East Sea, on a mountain, a stone was slowly nurtured by Heaven and Earth.

LORE ABT CLAIRE & ANDREAS UNIVERSE‼️‼️
The year is 2805, (NOT RIGHT NOW, IN THE STORY) astronomers have became aware of an incredibly deadly asteroid that is getting closer and closer to earth by the minute, it is estimated that the impact of the asteroid will split all the worlds land in half, creating two main continents and potentially wiping out 4/5 of the planets population. To prepare for this, a group of biologists, engineers and scientists came together and formed what appeared to be a miracle gene, or as they called it “The Universe Strand”. One biologist however, noticed a fatal flaw, if someone were to have the universe strand in their system, the nervous system would go completely haywire, the gene possesses a drug similar to cocaine, if the drug touches any part of the human body, the person would almost overnight become completely feral, losing all sense of self. However, there was hope, if a pregnant woman were to take the universe strand, and have a child, the drug would almost completely evaporate due to the sudden influx of hormones, all they needed to do was to gather a group of pregnant women, infect them with the universe strand, keep them alive for nine months, have the baby, kill the mother and humanity would be saved! So they did just that, around one year remained until the estimated “end of the world” date. They gathered fifty pregnant women, one of them being Leah Hartfeild. (she is important remember her) And so nine months past, and almost none of the women survived, they either killed themselves or killed each other, only six out of the fifty women managed to live through the nine months, one of which, didn’t seem to be effected by the universe strand, none other than Leah Hartfeild, however, only time would tell if her child would carry her immunity. So doomsday came, the whole world was in mass panic, wars stopped, buildings collapsed, banks closed, all due to the sheer amount of panic that the world was experiencing, the government’s tried to tell everyone that it was going to be okay, and that we had a last hope, the children, who only carried about half of the effects of the universe strand, but, where their physical strengths were diminished compared to their parents, their mentality and critical thinking was heightened. Instead of breaking apart, the earths land mad actually merged together, the consequences of this would, of course be the scarcity of water, but also the deserts which stretched out for hundreds of miles, increasing the earth’s temperature in the summer by tens of degrees, but also completely plummeting it in the winter.
Years past since “doomsday” and society was thriving, dessert cities created some sense of civilisation, travailing merchants carried goods from place to place, and bounty hunters kept people out of trouble and the emperors ruled over it all. Factions were created, laws were laid, the world was at peace. Until one of the factions, Redfall, decided that another rival faction, Ironside, was getting a little too comfortable in their territory, so, both factions sent out their most skilled warriors, Redfall chose the last living descendant of the old world, Claire Hartfeild, while Ironside chose Andrea Saint Booth, who was dubbed in lands near and far as “The shadow in the nightshade”, due to her agility and accuracy (with range weapons, just to clarify)

So yeah on the final day of the game, I'm gonna shoot my shot, why not
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.... oh. dang. /tugs collar
I mean, I expected nothing less from her, she was the one who started the Empress SLink really, not me. She had that fucking incredible line, something like "Entangle me in your string of fate," it was gorgeous.
I'm mostly sad Margaret isn't even more of an option because I find her really interesting and very, very charismatic. Being around her feels like being around someone who is much more important than you are but she still decides to grace you with her attention.
As an Empress, she's an interesting choice. The Empress is seated, is passive in her observation of her kingdom, but holds a wand aloft. And Margaret's was certainly instrumental in using power to illuminate the path for Reverie. She makes for a rather cold temperament, but her efficacy cannot be argued with.
Also she KISSED REVERIEEEEEEE. gosh. golly.
Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: Six out of Ten.

OH RISE. You know I have no idea if I would say I "liked" Rise but my got was she like.... the exact chaos the group needed. Teddie and Rise both brought a tremendous amount of energy to the team, both joining at the same time too.
I really admire how decisive Rise is. Which, of course, Lovers, obviously. She may struggle to figure out what exactly she wants, but once she does, she already has her shoes tied tight and is headed forward. And her journey being set up from the start with her Shadow, how there is no such thing as the True Self, and how that continues to be the core of her arc was really very fucking good.
Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: 10 out of 10, honestly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marie is great but does suffer a lot from being added into the game. There is a very inorganic element to her. However, given what we learn about her, that she's a creature of the other world meant to doom humanity, that she's almost a cuckoo bird in the human nest, it... sort of makes perfect sense, doesn't it? That she feels so Off.
That's making excuses for the game honestly but I'm gonna do it because while the way she fit into the game was always very pasted on, her voice acting was honestly great and smoothed over a LOT of issues I had with her. Like, I could sit here and point out the flaws but why? I like her enough.
Character Accuracy? Abstain, as I'm not very familiar with the Aeon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like i don't even need to say anything about Kanji. I'm willing to wager if you could make a pie chart of every dialogue box I screencapped, Kanji would have an outsized percentage.
I came into Persona 4 Golden with carefully calibrated expectations. I Fully expected to be deeply disappointed in Kanji's writing. But he started out amazing and he literally never ceased being amazing. This is the guy who punched his own shadow and affectionately told him to get up because any shadow of his could take a punch. This is the guy who makes "very elaborate" dolls for sad children. This is the guy who is willing and ready to beat up someone if that'll save them. He's the heart of the fucking team and he hits like a mack truck. I love Kanji.
IF ONLY HE WERE ROMANCEABLE. GODDAMMIT.
Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: Solid 7 out of 10. I still think Dojima would have been a better fit but Kanji's dedication to taking ownership and care of his community is very Emperor.
Tumblr media
shut up kanji you aren't allowed to make me cry twice in one playthrough
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Best Girl Yukiko.
God, she is so weird. She's so heartfelt. She's so funny. Her arc makes a tremendous amount of sense. She's selfish and mean, she's generous and kind. She got drunk off the atmosphere in Iwatodai. She never talks about Chie as much as Chie talks about her. My heart aches for her, and I hope she's made the right decision to stay. I hope she'll have the strength to leave later if she discovers it wasn't.
I hope she and Kanji become best friends.
Character Accuracy to Their Arcana: 0 out of 10, she and Yosuke shoulda swapped.

Driving with a Putter in Disc Golf Explained
Tumblr media
When it comes to disc golf, driving with a putter might not be the first technique that comes to mind. However, using a putter for long throws in disc golf can actually be a game-changer. By understanding the benefits and mastering the proper technique, you can improve your accuracy and overall performance on the course.
Key Takeaways:
Driving with a putter in disc golf can improve accuracy and control. Using a putter for long throws requires proper technique and practice. Putters have a slower speed but offer greater control and accuracy. Choosing the right putter is crucial for maximum driving performance. Consistent practice is essential for improving driving accuracy with a putter in disc golf.
Can you drive with a putter in disc golf Yes, you can drive with a putter in disc golf. While putters are typically used for shorter shots and putting, they can also be used for driving off the tee. Putters have a slower speed than other discs, but they offer greater control and accuracy. Driving with a putter requires proper technique and release, but it can be an effective way to navigate the course and improve your game.
When using a putter for driving, you may need to adjust your throwing technique slightly to maximize distance and accuracy. Focus on a smooth and controlled throw, releasing the disc at the correct angle and with the right amount of power. It’s important to maintain a consistent grip and follow-through to ensure a clean release and maintain control of the disc throughout the flight.
Driving with a putter can be particularly useful in situations where accuracy and control are more important than distance. For shorter holes or tight fairways, a putter can help you hit your target with precision and avoid potential hazards. Additionally, using a putter for driving can help beginners develop better throwing form and technique before transitioning to more high-speed discs.
While driving with a putter may not give you the same distance as a high-speed driver disc, it can still be an effective strategy that allows you to play to your strengths. As with any aspect of disc golf, practice and experimentation are key to finding what works best for you. Don’t be afraid to try different discs and techniques to discover your personal driving style with a putter.
The Fundamentals of Putter Driving in Disc Golf
Understanding Putter Dynamics for Disc Golf Drives When driving with a putter in disc golf, it is important to understand the dynamics of the putter disc. Putters have a deeper and more rounded rim compared to other discs, making them less aerodynamic but better at sticking in the chains of a basket.
They have slower speeds and a straighter flight path, allowing for accurate shots and control. Knowing how the putter disc behaves in flight will help you choose the right angles and release for maximum distance and accuracy.
Choosing the Right Putter for Maximum Driving Performance Selecting the right putter for driving in disc golf is crucial for maximum performance. Look for a putter with a little added stability and a comfortable profile that fits well in your hand. Opt for a putter made of premium plastic, which can handle high-speed throws without deformation.
Consider the grip and feel of the putter, as it should offer confidence and control during drives. Experiment with different putters to find the one that suits your throwing style and gives you the best results on the course.
Mastering Disc Golf Putter Driving Technique Mastering the technique of driving with a putter in disc golf is essential for achieving maximum distance and accuracy. Use a fan grip or modified fan grip for better control when throwing a putter. Focus on timing your release correctly, avoiding early or late releases that can cause the disc to veer off course.
Releasing the disc out in front of you at 12 o’clock with your thumb pointing forward will help the disc fly straight. Practice throwing the putter with height and follow-through for increased distance. Experiment with different release angles and techniques to find what works best for you.
The Importance of Practice in Putter Driving Practice is key when it comes to improving your putter driving skills in disc golf. Take your driving putter to an open field and practice releasing it correctly to get a feel for the timing and technique. Repeat the motion and release the disc multiple times to develop muscle memory and consistency.
Once you have a good grasp of the basics, take your putter to the course and practice throwing it in different situations, such as tunnel shots or straight approach shots. With consistent practice, you can overcome obstacles and improve your driving accuracy with a putter in disc golf.
Conclusion Driving with a putter in disc golf can have a significant impact on your game. While putters are typically associated with shorter shots and putting, they can also be effective for driving off the tee. By understanding the dynamics of putter discs, choosing the right putter, mastering the driving technique, and consistently practicing, you can achieve maximum distance and accuracy with a putter in disc golf.
Ezoic When driving with a putter, it is important to consider the unique characteristics of putter discs. Their slower speeds and straighter flight paths allow for better control and accuracy. By selecting a putter with added stability and a comfortable profile, you can ensure a confident grip and optimal performance. Additionally, practicing proper throwing techniques, such as using a fan grip or modified fan grip, and focusing on timing and release, can help you achieve straighter shots and increased distance.
Consistent practice is key to improving your putter driving skills in disc golf. Taking your putter to an open field and honing your release technique will build muscle memory and consistency. It is also important to practice throwing your putter in different situations on the course. By dedicating yourself to skill development and mastering the art of driving with a putter, you can enhance your disc golf game and become a more well-rounded player.

could you tell us about question 7 in the ask game? Also 1 if that's ok.
Hi! Yeah, of course! No problem at all =D
Question #7: What's a struggle you wish more people talked about?
Oh, there's honestly so much. I wish more people talked about the struggles and importance of accessible household items, I think. I don't think people talk enough about how accessibility is really important when considering buying certain things.
For instance, I struggle to open the handle at the house my family and I live in. We bought our new house a few years ago, and we couldn't change the handle. My parents have been intending to change it, but they haven't.
We are also currently looking to get a new vehicle, which means we have to check how accessible it is for me. How hard it is getting in, how much leg room I have, where the handles are, and how easy it is to handle/drive.
Accessibility is about more than ramps and wheelchair accessible vehicles. Even though I don't 'look disabled' (whatever that means), I still have to consider accessibility wherever I go and anytime I'm looking at something new.
It could simply be the difference between squeezing a tacky glue bottle vs. squeezing an Elmer's glue bottle, which is a struggle I have dealt with. Tacky glue bottles are CONSIDERABLY harder for me to use due to wrist strength than Elmer's glue is.
It's as simple as needing someone else's help to put on a fitted sheet, or having glass containers that are hard to open. I don't 'look disabled', but I am. And because I deal with wrist pain and my disability affects my wrists, it leads to issues with wrist strength.
So while there are many struggles I'd like to hear about more, I think that is my choice.
Question #1: What disability/ies do you have? (and are they mental, physical, or both?)
I have one diagnosed disability. I believe I have some undiagnosed ones (autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, c-PTSD and/or PTSD, either celiac or non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and hyperthyroidism).
But for the sake of accuracy, I am only going to explain my diagnosed disability =)
I don't think I have gone into full on detail of what my disability is, even on my main blog. I honestly can't remember.
I have an autoimmune disease called RF (rheumatoid factor) negative polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Because I am 20, this would (I think) be referred to as juvenile-onset arthritis, but again, for the sake of accuracy, I am going to give the diagnosis I have on my medical record. By 'juvenile' it means that it is diagnosed/occurs when someone is 16-17 or younger.
Polyarticular means 5 or more. This means that at least five joints in my body are affected by my arthritis. In my case, I have arthritis in every single joint in my body.
It affects my neck, jaw, spine, collarbones, ribs, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, toes, etc. All of it. Pretty much my entire skeleton is affected. I mostly tend to have problems with my knees, jaw, and wrists. But they are all affected. Because of my disability, I do deal with chronic pain. I struggle when walking sometimes, though I often push myself due to familial expectations, and the fact that I don't like 'complaining'. I also can't stand for long periods of time because of my disability.
My disability is physical. It is mobility related. My disability is categorized as a physical disability, an autoimmune disease, a chronic illness, a musculoskeletal condition, a connective tissue disorder, and a mobility impairment, which is honestly a mouthful XD
I think my arthritis has affected other parts of my body that don't inherently have to do with my joints (potential livedo reticularis on my legs, watery eyes, etc.), though because those aren't confirmed, I just went with what the condition is said to cause (the other issues might be caused by RA, which I am technically not diagnosed with [though I feel like I might have seronegative RA, which would just end up being the more adult type of the JIA I have])
Thank you for the questions!

//I just gotta say you do a fuckin AMAZING job writing honey!!! She's such an interesting character and
//honestly her during this whole arc has been pretty relatable in a way jdhdndg
//can't imagine how hard it was to like , explicitly show all the way up to this where everything had been let loose that she was still just so angry at him underneath it all, even if she was still having fun and making fun of bell light-heartedly and I've never seen anyone really just .capture that before especially in such emotional accuracy
Ooc:
Tumblr media
So when I read this yesterday you gave me the equivalent of human zoomies for an hour when I was supposed to be going to bed. Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm blushing. This is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to meeee. (⁄ ⁄•⁄v⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄
I go over my 'breakdown' of this arc below the break, but please know that I love all of you and thanks so much for enjoying my gal. She means a lot to me. I'm glad my mental process comes through in her words and actions.
Also If you want more lighthearted stuff - I have a few more Amy roasts to go through so Do Not Worry we will flambae this man yet.
I am also gonna write this warning here as well - Content Warning for death, implied suicide, abandonment, animal abuse, pokemon abuse and generally uncomfortable topics to think about.
Honey could be charitably called a 'self insert' - although she looks nothing like me and we do have differing opinions on a lot of topics. From my experience with TTRPGs and running them for 7 years I find the greatest advice I can give to anyone both old and new is to put pieces of yourself into your oc's. This is two-fold for importance.
1) It fleshes them out and makes you like them. If you have a character with similar morals and goals to yourself it is much easier to relate to them and makes you actually want to continue - you know - playing them. Honey has many traits that I don't. But we do share a deep love for people (and pokemon but her love is much more tangible than mine). She has a strong sense of fair play and is stubborn to a fault, which is something a lot of people can relate with. Her flaws are the same as her strengths and that makes her feel alive.
2) The second part is - in my humble opinion - more important. You know how they Feel. Emotions are a fickle thing in roleplay. You have to be very good at separating fiction from reality. It helps a lot when you are in constant communication with the people you are creating the story with.
When I was writing Honey over the course of this arc, I noticed that I started getting agitated - not from myself - but when I put myself in Honey's shoes. And after some contemplation I could realize why. This whole situation reminded me of those "Don't Drink and Drive" TV ads where the owner of a dog leaves, promising to come back. For a few moments you get a horrible sinking feeling because you know that this is an ad for drunk driving. But the dog doesn't. But after a few shots the person returns! All's well that ends well. You get your catharsis because that's a bit too dark a subject for daytime tv.
But I always wondered what would happen if the person never came back.
Dogs and cats are pretty smart all things considering. But how would this sort of thing affect a creature that has a higher level of intelligence? Little kids don't have a super great grasp on death - and I assume that most pokemon (there are exceptions to the rule) have the emotional and mental capacity of around a 3 year old. But you can also verbally explain death to a child when they are old enough. How do you explain to a ratatta that their trainer passed away?
This has never been stated explicitly until recently but Honey does have a slightly longer relationship with Amy than is immediately apparent. Especially with his pokemon. She cares about them and understands them to some degree. She knows roughly their emotional intelligence and ability to grasp abstract concepts. Honey has no illusions that Maxx, Beetroot and a handful of Amy's other pokemon are smart enough to connect the dots if he up and vanished. Some of them might even hold a grudge or mourn his loss.
But she knows there are also many pokemon in his care that aren't smart enough to understand. Bruno in particular - who is arguably the pokemon Honey is most emotionally attached to. Bruno is a strange case because he has a very good memory. He remembered Honey at the wedding by smell alone; a solid 3-5 years after they first met. Honey had a decent impact on his life but her influence is nothing compared to how much he cares about Bellamy.
So you have a perfect storm - A pokemon smart enough to remember people and has object permanence but not smart enough to understand the possibility of death or the idea that their human - who they love more than life itself - is never going to come back home. Thinking of that mental image - Bruno sitting alone at the door waiting for Amy forever - is basically the sole reason for her anger.
There is compounding issues of course. Did Amy even think to put all his Pokemon in his will? Would his current funds allow each of them to live in the lifestyle they are accustomed to? How many of them could stay together? Would they all have to be adopted out to other people? How many of them are at risk solely because they were the Pokemon of TV icon 'Professor Wild Days'?
Maybe Amy has plans in place for if that were to ever happen. But Honey doesn't know. She thought Amy was more prepared than that but the fact he just marched into the Cold Storage with no plan and without any proper backup has seriously shaken her faith in his ability to consider the longstanding ramifications of his actions.
So when Honey says 'I am pissed' what she really means is 'I am scared that you don't care about yourself enough to realize that your family is still here and depends on you. I'm scared that you aren't living for them. And that makes me angry on their behalf.' This is something I also deeply care about. The greatest thing that helped me in my darkest periods of my life is remembering the creatures that depend on me. Not the humans in my life; but the pets and animals that need me because if I disappear I don't know what will happen to them.
... That's pretty dark and serious. But it's also a damn good reason to be angry.
