I finished sonic frontiers. The game is super fun but bro what tf was that final boss fight 😭 (or lack thereof?)

Jazz isn't the biological daughter of Jack.

It was before their marriage. Back in her league days, Maddie was simply the best of the best. She was the demon's daughter second in command, heading her call any moment and her most loyal subject.

That's how it was, to the people.

Behind closed doors she and the demon daughter were more.

But those are old times, after she betrayed the league, fled and created plans to continue living in relative peace.

That was how it was supposed to be.

That was not how it played out.

During her 3rd year with a man called Jack Fenton, did she receive news of a child, a daughter of her own with Talia. One she created in a lab, trained to follow their footsteps and ran from the league at the perfect time and needed to hide.

So maddie took in her daughter, trained her, and showed the ropes of a civilian life.

Jack loved her as if she were his own. It led them to finally marry and later on have Danny.

Jazz knew of the pits, of the meaning they had, and how much knowledge the leader of the league possessed.

Now she is 17, recently orphaned with her 15 year old brother and on the run because Danny is currently the only living person in this world who knows more of the pits than the current user.

And Ra's really wants that knowledge.

omg the "sauron created nenya for galadriel" discourse is so frustrating. the thing he said about making 2 was a manipulation -- that was never the "plan" by anyone for them to be a pair of rings for them.

ok lets break it down. celebrimbor is the one intending to make one crown for gilgalad. the purpose was to maintain elven magic in middle earth. this was not for galadriel or halbrand -- it is not intended to be about fighting sauron. halbrand helped with the alloy idea. sure. but he is just a human fangirl in a master's forge. he isn't celebrimbor's partner. yet.

but then we get to the moment galadriel has the scroll and sauron notices it and is going to go talk to her about the two rings idea when he noticed he was about to be found out.

when would he have has *time* to talk to celebrimbor? he didn't have time. he left lickety split when he noticed galadriel figuring it out. the most likely thing is that he made it up on the spot (he might have been toying with the idea before hand but i think its the first he told anyone) because it sounds super enticing-- we'll make two and you can have one. its the only thing that might entice galadriel, power equal to Gil Galad. power to have a kingdom.

but like, best case scenario, assume he *had* talked to celebrimbor earlier. do you honestly think celebrimbor intended for halbrand and galadriel to have the rings? he doesnt trust humans at all. the point is to give magic to the elven kingdoms. even galadriel would not have necessarily have been the obvious second choice after gil galad (before she gave up her dagger) because of her potential to be corrupted/ use it for war.

at the end of the day, celebrimbor made the three without sauron's designs. he just used his alloy idea. and he made three because of Galadriel (in trop), using materials from elrond and galadriel. and he intended none for humans.

sauron wants to control the people's of middle earth via the rings. the three being free of his influence is a flaw in his plan. he needs to get them back to fulfill his goal. yes, he desires nenya bc galadriel spurned him, but the point is *it was never his to begin with* and thus why he covets it -- not because it belonged to him or because it was his gift.

and that is why he needs to make the one ring, bc that is the only way to control *all* the rings, even those free of his influence. even though it was a huge risk to take.

(this is not take away from anyone shipping in whatever way they want -- its just whatever attraction galadriel and sauron have doesn't change who created nenya and for what)

#the whole point of the three is that they are a power in middle earth #free of sauron's corruption #it makes no sense to say they are sauron's #or to say they are engagement rings.#that isnt what celebrimbor intended or made #sauron can cover nenya without it needing to be his creation #he is coveting what he cannot control #which ia a much more reasonable reading of the symbolism #sauron #halbrand #celebrimbor #nenya #trop #the rings of power #rop #galadriel

Going to hazard it's not a great sign for your obvious party nominee when a substantially non-zero portion of your own party's voters come out to make a point of informing everyone that they are not voting for you, even if they have done so multiple times previously, and pledge to support the incumbent president of the opposite party if/when you win the nomination.

although it is a little funny, whenever a new version of a vocal synth comes out on a different engine, the biggest complaint i always see is that the new version "doesn't sound like them". we all just choose our favourite type of engine noise in the end <3

#i dunno its kinda funny to me. its a complaint thats hard to address. which one is 'them'?#to me v1 is my fav kaitos and meikos but a lot of people prefer their v3s. i never cared for any vocaloid ver of IA but i adore her cevio #it really is a matter of which noise and engine artefacting you like the most LOL #a big thing i like about sv genbu is the noise and quirks of all standard sv voicebanks (although hes unique as a powerscale style thing)#(plus he has those extra phoneme groups which is nuts. utau append bank ass <3 )#so if he does get an AI bank it will sound quite different. partially because of the different methods of vocal synthesis and partially #because its been like 4 years and the VP's singing will sound different if they record new stuff for it #i will enjoy them both for different purposes <3 different types of hashtag engine noise for ALL #which speaking of which. v6 tsuina will be intriguing. i like sv tsuina and i dont really 99% of v6's engine noise LOL #but i did kind of like some of gumi solid so who knows. it'll at least be interesting to hear what people use her for

Guess who just got their copy of @sshannonauthor TBS the Tenth Anniversary edition? (Me!)

I can't wait to dive into this world as I did for the first time six years ago. I get to see my OTP, Paige and Warden for the first time again which is insane. I can't believe we even get that chance so thank you Samantha, truly. This is essentially my version of early Christmas. (And now that I'm older I can actually bust out some champagne for the occasion 😂)
