But it still stirs in us, gently at times, violent and angry at others, and like a lonely star collapsing in some dark corner of the universe, we fold in on the knowlege, on the danger.

On the fear.

Gnawed hollow and empty, yet fumed with poison and want, acid smoke and clawing hunger for the page, for the word, for the sacred things in the storm of thought that is us.

So cut yourselves open, and suffer the dark and putrid blood, as all wounds must be cleaned from time to time, that we may sew ouselves up, wrap soft linens over our scars and our sins, and bleed that which we have kept closed, and buried, and secret.

A self of nameless power, ensconced in the fragile flesh of birth.
