It’s rarely easy and it doesn’t always make sense when you’re going through it, but trusting yourself to do what’s right for you will always pay off. I could have been miserable at a job I took just because it was offered to me. I could’ve changed majors, dated the wrong guys, and played it safe because demanding what I really wanted would’ve been too risky. I have been offered opportunities that people thought I was crazy to turn down, but in the end the path I took led me to exactly where I needed to be and opened my life up to incredible opportunities I never could have imagined. I may make major life decisions on a whim, like going to law school or moving to the other side of the world, but I make them because they feel right.... or as I usually say, “it seemed like a good idea at the time 😳” Don’t ever settle because you’re afraid, because you’ve been hurt, because you’re unsure, because you don’t think you deserve what you really want.
