When will I be done posting? NEVER! Haha, I told everyone I'm aiming to go to season 3 premiere.

Okay, what's the ultimate twinflame energy between Sydney and Carmy? The shoulder tattoos! I've written a few theories on these tattoos, but I have another one, particularly for season 3.

We need to see the orgin episode of the creation of the shoulder tattoo. Because revealing sydney's tattoo episode 9 and the yet to be revealed carmy's? Oh, there's something here that needs to be explored!

This could give so much opportunity for flashback episodes so we can see how they belong together.

Here's my ultimate wish for a sydcarmy episode. Also, a spoiler on filming locations:

Since some of the filming locations are in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand, there's going to be a flashback episode of Carmy traveling throughout those places, experiencing his own food tour and he gets the tattoo in Thailand. Remember, the tattoo 'certain of nothing' is dedicated to Bourdain, a zen philosphy Bourdain embrace, and who is Carmy's big inspiration. Anthony also had a home in thailand and in parts unknown. He recommended the buddhist practice of giving merits to the monks.

There has to be some philosophy here, this word 'Submit' reminds me of what they say in al-anon. That one must submit to a higher power as part of the healing. He could have possibly already submitted to a higher power before Al anon in the past and somehow reverted back to anxiousness once he took the job in New york, and it's gotten worse since Mikey's death.

Ultimately, my theory is that the travel East is a flashback for Carmy.

My theory with Sydney's tattoo:

She got it during her food tour in New York 2 years ago. There could be a flashback episode of Sydney touring New York and trying Carmy's dish. Unfortunately, there was a situation that led her to get the 3 sword tattoos in NYC. The tattoo serves as a reminder of grief and loss. She also embraces them as a part of life. In a way, she submits to it.

How cool would it be to see a flashback episode around 2-3 years ago where the two of them get shoulder tattoos relating to their own experience in life. Both separate experiences, but like twinflames- they're united through their souls.

What do the Goofy Gooners look like .. asking for a friend …

Rob is a tired dad with an inferiority complex. He doesn't put much effort into his appearance because basic hygiene already saps a lot of his energy. He has reddish-brown hair that he keeps short for convenience and doesn't shave as often as he should, so there's always a thin layer of stubble. I picture him to be around 33 but stress makes him look older. He usually wears the same basic t-shirts and cargo pants—a polo would be fancy for him. He's on the underweight side because he frequently skips meals so his kids and Milo have enough. He also has random tattoos scattered over his arms plus one on his leg and neck. They don't mean anything, just dumb stuff he got when he was younger, including a winking emoticon and the Pillsbury doughboy.

Blaise is 26 and you can tell he's a stoner from the get-go. He has dirty blonde hair that he grows out but hardly maintains, and the same level of effort goes for his clothes. He often wears things he finds in dumpsters or thrift stores and chooses comfort over style. His clothes have lots of hidden pockets for lighters, firecrackers, and weapons. He's tall and lanky, which makes living out of Milo's car in the parking lot awkward (Rob offered his apartment but he declined). Similar to Rob, Blaise also has a number of meaningless tattoos plus several piercings. He also plays the guitar and keeps his lucky pick on a necklace.

Kellin is a 20-year-old originally hailing from Thailand. Their assassin parents trained them in gymnastics, martial arts, and various weaponry from a young age in hopes that Kellin would follow in the family's footsteps and join the League of Assassins. That obviously didn't work out and they traveled around as an independent hitman (hitperson?) for a couple years before they landed in Gotham. They're always battle-ready—if they could shower in their assassin uniform they would. They changed their name and keep their hair just long enough to mask their face. They're fluent in English, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Arabic, but they prefer to let their actions speak for them instead.

Molly is a 25-year-old trans woman who incorporates her jobs as a drug dealer, team strategist, and nightclub DJ in a single look. She has long dark hair dyed with neon streaks but ties it up when fighting. She's not the most formidable combatant but she has basic fighting skills and is very calculative. Her primary weapon is a metal baseball bat, inspired by her favorite anti-hero, Harley Quinn. She also has a belt equipped with her experimental chemicals and smoke pellets. However, she's not allowed to pair up with Blaise on missions because it's an open secret that the two of them can't focus around each other.

Otto is a war veteran and car mechanic around the same age as Alfred, but that's where the similarities end. He's been wearing the same mechanic's uniform for the past four decades, the only differences between then and now being his hair thinning, a couple front teeth falling out, and acquiring a beer gut. His arms are covered in scabs and scars from the job and he's had trouble with his right knee ever since the army. On the surface he seems like a Boomer yelling at kids to get off his lawn, but he's more like a stern but well-intentioned grandpa who is disappointed to see nothing much has changed over the years.

Milo is your standard 15-year-old delinquent. He's slightly small for his age and doesn't pack that big of a punch on his own, but put him behind the wheel and he's a total menace. When he's not driving, he keeps himself stimulated with video games or his collection of keychains (his favorite is purple bat because of his puppy crush on Spoiler). His look is reminiscent of early 2000s skater punks, including a bright red mohawk and his trusty headphones. Everything he owns, minus his car, fits into a single backpack. His weapon, on the rare occasion Rob lets him on the front line, is a batarang he found on the street.

Gene is someone you would never expect to have so many issues because on the outside he looks like an average 40-year-old glasses-wearing office worker. He has short sandy hair and dark circles under his eyes from nightmares. His meds help a lot, but sometimes he's still seen pacing around and muttering to himself. He's not a danger anymore compared to the past, which is why Rob trusts him enough to share an apartment. Gene focuses his nervous energy into his research and tinkering instead, amassing a comedic collection of hyperspecific gadgets.

Mac is basically the guy in the chair. He's 30 and has thick glasses, thick curly brown hair, a thin goatee, and almost exclusively wears flannel. His nails are down to a nub because he bites them when concentrating. He's also often seen with chips or an energy drink in his hands and wears a jailbroken smart watch. Of the team, he has the least physical prowess but the most brain power. He doesn't see combat often but keeps a pistol in case. He turned an old ice cream truck into his home/mobile office so he can plug in anywhere. Like Kellin, he's also not from Gotham, but instead Fawcett City and has a distinct Minnesota accent.

Booker is a 19-year-old Gotham U student and the third member of the team's Glasses Trio. He's an intelligent guy slated to graduate a year early and thus needs his internship credits sooner. He's very polite (albeit a little socially awkward) and puts his best foot forward by coming into work with slacks and fun patterned suspenders even though he doesn't have to. His hair has a slightly uneven fade because his sister insisted on practicing on him for cosmetology school, so he covers it with a fedora. He carries his things in a laptop bag and has an enthusiastic bounce in his step that only newbies would have.

Jackie and Gunner are Rob's 6-year-old twins (Jackie being 8 minutes older) and are the babies of this hodgepodge family. Jackie takes after her late mother with frizzy black hair usually tied in pigtails. She loves wearing pink, reads way above her level, and is a horse girl in that she wants one to stomp on the people she doesn't like. Gunner looks more like his dad, though his hair is a little messier and overgrown. He hates school but loves dirt and monster trucks. Both of them have a troublesome streak but Jackie's a little better at hiding it. They quarrel like siblings do but at the end of the day, they always stick up for each other.

BLUBBERING SPOILERS BELOW FOR I FEEL YOU LINGER IN THE AIR, EPISODE 12/FINALE:

YEAH. SO. YEAH. SO!

This can't be meta. I don't think I can conjure it. Just blather. I'll try to be sensible. First, a little housekeeping before we start the meeting:

We know there will be a special episode (the preview looks..... LIKE A GODDAMN HOLIDAY GIFT, GAAAAHHH).

Peeps are going back and forth on a second season, and while it seems that Nonkul Chanon blurted it out during the final episode fan meeting (lol you cute, Nonkul), Tee Bundit is rolling back a bit, *likely* due to funding. But seeing social media going absolutely INSANE over this ending, I can't imagine that Dee Hup will have any issue with finding the moolah for a second season -- especially after that after-credits scene, WITH HORSES, WITH MUSTACHES, WITH TATTOOS, WITH ARMOR, the whole thang. Tee let that shit hang all out like that. Warrior-era Thailand, let's m'fing go. That was a hell of a lead into a second season that may not happen, come awn.

Alright, with that out of the way:

I didn't think a show would top Moonlight Chicken for me this year, but IFYLITA is my top new drama of the year (with the HEAVY CAVEAT that I have not seen La Pluie yet -- that's for either after my Old GMMTV Challenge, or just making sure I watch it before year's end).

Part of the reason why I lost my gatdamn mind last week on episode 11 is that Tee Bundit did not interfere with any damn nonsense last week -- he let the episode's story unwind without any noise. He let the emotion roll.

The same light touch (or rather, a lack of interference) happened here, BUT: there was a LOT more happening firstly by way of closing some loops that were open, moving to new loops, and shedding more depth into Jom and Yai's final moments together

We got closure on Yai's dad, who was grumpily like, uhhh, I dunno what happened in my life, but yeah, daughter Eaung Peang, you go have a good life with Maey, crotchety crotch. I think that's the best we could get from politically involved dads of 1928 Chiang Mai. (EP AND MAEY SWINGING THEIR HANDS WHILE WALKING AWAY -- SAAAHHSHAY FROM ALL THAT, LADIES, SASHAY.) It looks like EP's herbal abortion left her safe -- thank goodness. We didn't see James or Ming this episode.

For loops that weren't closed, I'm not complaining, because we got an explanation for how Jom's beloved ones will repeat in his reincarnated futures and pasts, through the explanation of the northern Thai ceremony of having 32 blessings reinstated to you after illness or misfortune (THREE CHEERS for @blmpff for capturing screenshots of this explanation!). (AND THE WHITE THREAD, PEEPS, THE WHITE THREAD, I'm coming back to this in a second.) If we do get a season 2, then I will not be colored surprised if we see Ming and James in different roles. (And, yes. Your bitch here has relaxed on Pat's shooter, finally. My nose was trained on James being a colonialist interferer, but he did good last episode.)

But this episode belonged, of course, to Yai and Jom, their final moments together in 1928 Chiang Mai, saying the slow farewell as Jom slowly disappeared in front of Yai's eyes.

LORD. WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWW. The lacy fabric with which Yai used to cover the mirrors so that Jom wouldn't see himself fade away. The empathy of that. The scene where we heard their lovemaking over the flashbacks montage. WHEW. WHOA. (I did say, to my friend @shortpplfedup, something something Jom started really fading away after that intimate scene and something something had the ontology cough cough outta him, ANYWAY.)

The way that Yai pitched forward when Jom finally disappeared.

AND I MOTHERFUCKING SCREAMED WHEN JOM AND MUSTACHIOED YAI WERE ABOUT TO TOUCH INTO THE WATER AGAIN, AND THEN THE DIVER EMT WAS LIKE, BLOOP I'M HERE AND OH, JOM, YOU'RE ALIVE IN 2023. I yelped in the deli, shit. The way Jom was silently screaming in the water for Yai.

And, so. In the "present" day (present dimension, really), Jom survived that CRAAAAZY car accident (LIKE! WHAT?! He flew out of the car into the water, bros! The magic of fiction, anyway.)

He.......he holds space for Ohm?! Looking BACK on that scene, AFTER we get the explanation of the 32 blessings, we realize: despite Ohm's infidelity and his promise to a new woman, Ohm is still important in Jom's life -- he's still a beloved presence, as he did mean something, for a long time, to Jom. Of course, modern Jom did NOT let a moment to shade Ohm pass him by, oh no. But wasn't that interesting to note? That Jom's dimensions would allow Ohm to be in those dimensions -- that Ohm would be reincarnated through Jom's 32 blessings (at least in the past direction).

You know what I also loved about seeing Jom in his present-day apartment, with the present-day Jeed, Ohm, and Khaimuk (aka Fong Kaew). I LOVED WHAT THAT CASTING, THE SHIFTING OF THE CHARACTERS AND CHARACTERIZATIONS, SAID ABOUT JOM'S PERSPECTIVE OF EQUITY IN 1928 AND 2023.

Jeed is NOT Khun Eaung Peang. Jeed is ALL SASS. But Jeed is YOUNGER than Jom. Jom, in 2023, is P'Jom, with the honorific. Present-day Jom can smack his little sister's head in jest. Jeed can be OUT and SAFE and have a crush on her girl friend, safely, and can ask for her brother's support, OPENLY.

Jom never stopped being Jom, whether it was 2023 pre-accident, 1928, or 2023 post-accident. Jom is comfortable in his own skin, and wants happiness AND EQUITY for the people he loves around him. I love that the casting and characterizations of the incarnations of the characters reflect Jom's state of mind that all people are equal and the same, no matter a fancy honorific or a royally appointed residence.

I screamed at @shortpplfedup when I saw Jom wearing the white thread in bed during the thunderstorm. I stopped, rewound, and saw he was wearing the white thread in the water scene with Warrior Yai. The white thread never left his wrist -- he still has his blessings intact.

And, and, and, back to the house of Palanthip in 2023. Who's the lady of the house? This lady knows Jom's the only one who can open that chest. The chest opens, the drawings are there, THE PICTURE OF THEIR PARTY, AND THE LETTER FROM YAI TO JOM, THE LETTER, THE TEARS, AKSLKDF, AND, AND, AND --

Oh my god, I was crying, y'all. Shit. Just our confident dude, striding in, asking Jom, sweetheart, why are you crying. And Jom jumping into Yai's arms.

I was shaking my head. I mean. I love that we learned that Yai actually HAD HIS OWN BLESSINGS CEREMONY because he was so lost after Jom's departure. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE REST OF YAI'S LIFE. We know, now, that the Yai of 1928 yearned for Jom for the rest of his life. So much so that, at the twilight of the life of 20th-century Yai, that he had the good mind to leave Jom a letter, to let Jom know that his life was a good life, because Jom had been in it. To let Jom know that Yai's love had never faded away.

AND THEN THAT YAI CAME BACK TO JOM.

Jom, dude, you're a good dude, for these good people to be coming back to you, in dimension after dimension. That monk was right.

I told you this was just blathering; I can try to put some sensible thoughts together in a few days, but the structure of this story, the empathy of this story, the way this story was leveraged by drama and romance and HOPE. I mean. This series was utterly fantastic.

I know there's the lifelong debate of whether or not BLs "count" as queer media, and in many, many instances, they do. But since I've had the disappointment of Only Friends and GMMTV on my mind lately, I had to note, mentally, particularly during the lovemaking scene, and during the closure of this episode, that Tee really fucking handed it to anyone who criticizes BL as a not-as-sophisticated drama genre.

And you know what? I also wanna say that Tee fucking handed it to GMMTV as well. I am so DAMN glad this series was airing when Only Friends was airing. While Only Friends sat on the opportunity to present progressive ideas on queer love and queer community, IFYLITA ROLLED right into it.

(I'll ask @lurkingshan to fact-check me on the following:) Because this series was a historical drama with a queer romance centering it, I think Tee Bundit could feel free from the chains of BL tropes and expectations to do something truly singular. I felt that what I was watching was cinematic, it was moving, it was strikingly emotional, particularly because I felt that this show was showing me something that transcended any viewer's expectations of what we should be watching, as opposed to, say, a BL set in an office like Tee's Step By Step. Where that show fumbled was in the show itself not knowing if it was a workplace drama or a BL-centric romance.

IFYLITA knew what it was: a historical drama, certainly centering romance, but also balancing conversations about equity and wealth disparities across eras. With that uncomplicated centering, I think Tee Bundit made an absolutely BRILLIANT show, and it fucking WORKED.

I will scream to anyone who'll hear me. If you haven't watched I Feel You Linger In The Air yet, do it, PLEASE PLEASE. Y'all know I am an Aof Noppharnach girlie for life, and I LIVE FOR MOONLIGHT CHICKEN, I DO, I DO, all of my Asian references in MLC and the food and everything, god I loved that show, but --

IFYLITA was a cinematic masterpiece. Full stop. All hail @neuroticbookworm and @lurkingshan for telling me to keep with it after my Step By Step-PTSD. This show was worth every last minute I spent watching and writing on it.

Season 2, Warrior Yai, let's get him a better mustache -- let's FUCKING GO, BABIES.

Okay! So here's the cover in question

Honestly I love this and I was really proud of how it turned out.

Alright! so the idea for this was that it's simply an image of Jude: finally free!

Here he is backpacking in Thailand which he hasn't done yet as of the date of this post, but Lucky Girl readers will know that he eventually Does Do That.

You can tell by his hair here too that he's older. He has this haircut when he reunites with Evie briefly in 2012, so I imagine this trip took place sometime around summer-autumn 2011.

To be honest the whole purpose of Lucky Boy was as sort of an extension of the original story for Lucky Girl readers who wanted more in-depth detail about Jude's life, more than what he ever had the time to tell Evie during her portion of the story, so for that reason the story is filled with little hints of what we know will happen, as well as nods to specific things about him that some have already learned - Like, how the story opens with him getting both ears pierced. The fact that he was a boy with two (and eventually 3) piercings was something that Evie found particularly cute and unique about him, and it's something he references in jest from time to time. ("haven't you seen my cute little earrings?")

Anyway, Thailand is where he gets that rather meaningless forearm tattoo, but it's also a place where he spends a lot of time alone. He does travel with a friend, but said friend is holed up with food poisoning for a significant chunk of the trip, which makes me quite certain that Jude spent a lot of time doing a lot of thinking. I'll explore this more in the actual story when I get there, but it's worth pointing out that when Evie meets him after this trip she notices a certain calmness in him, and like he's lost a lot of the boyish energy ("I realise I am looking at a man"). I feel like this trip is somewhat responsible for that.

He's also, clearly, facing away from the camera, which is probably self explanatory. In the chapter with Jen's birthday, as they take the train to the aquarium in Bray he waxes lyrical (as usual, yawn!) about his preference to sit facing the engine, never looking back. It's the same in this image. He is always moving forward.

YET - that is his school bag. (It is the wrong colour, yes, i didn't have the recoloured version when i made this poster lmao) so there's a sense that he's still in some way tied to childhood, to the things that are unresolved. Lucky Girl readers already know what (and who) those things are but I'll develop all that further from my controllers seat here inside Jude's brain.

Also - the toy attached to it represents Ivy. It's never explicitly stated in the story, but I think it's probably not in his character to have something like that on his bag unless it was gifted from someone important. So, he's carrying her with him too on his travels.

Now, for the artistic stuff (eek!)

I chose this pinky purple as the base colour by messing around with some hard light blending and the colour balance adj. because it creates that kinda fantasy feeling, like wonder and/or enlightenment is ahead, which hopefully for our dumb boy, it is. Purple is also often used in graphic design to indicate creativity, which is apt, seeing as he's an artist and all that.

I slapped in some sun in the corner ala 3 year old child's drawing, and added the text in yellow for no reason other than it's a complementary colour, and it picks up some of the yellows in the image.

Then added a text gradient to blend it in better and a little drop shadow effect

And finally some grain, paper texture and rounded corners because I wanted it to feel tangible, that sweet, nostalgic 35mm camera effect, or like a postcard.

and that's it!!

You can make it out of poverty, if you have a talent, work hard and yes, you need some luck. Jack is still salty about not becoming a national athlete, because he was too poor to get the best teachers.

If he had had an extraordinary talent, he would have made it, but he didn't. Children need schools to learn to read and write, yes, but if you learn that, books are mostly free. I'm sure Thailand has libraries. And everyone can get a phone nowadays, which puts the knowledge of the whole world in your pocket. Look for a normal job, save money, pay for your education and degrees.

Climb up that damn ladder. Because of generational wealth, there are people who wouldn't have made it without their parent's money. Yes. But in general I think, if a rich and a poor person start out the same, you give them the same amount of money, the rich one will be rich again, the poor will stay poor. This is not only about money, it's about the mindset. All those poor people don't seem to work hard in this series. Joker, Tattoo, Hoy - what are they even doing the whole day? They seem a bit dumb too.”

No amount of wishing will have you make it out of poverty. It is pure luck whether getting collections from your local church or meeting some rich fuck by chance one day or even surreptitiously getting a phone and you can post on tiktok. It isn’t just money falling in your lap, it’s anything that can enable you to make that happen. What can Toey Ting do and post on TikTok that will help her situation when she can barely type?

Educate yourself! This person says when someone has no foundation to know what an education means and what a good one would look like. Can you just teach yourself? This is absolutely absurd this person is saying the best way to get an education and to not be poor is by simply going to the library (where is this library?) or using your phone (is my internet good?) and teaching yourself. And getting a job.

The mindset that makes rich people rich is….they have money. What the fuck is a rich mindset. Have we seen rose work a day in her goddamn life so far? Because what do you mean the poor people don’t work hard? We have literally seen them do all the fucking work that’s the point what the fuck?

Shit like this pisses me OFF but also puts inti perspective why I am not angry ar Jack at all. No he CAN’T just find another job actually that’s the fucking point and that’s kind of a fucking problem. Hey how about why the fuck do I, as an indigenous person to this land, a natural citizen, have to PAY TO LIVE? I thought we were one country? My two cents on the Ossan's Love Thailand pilot trailer

Disclaimer: 1) I have watched the original Ossan's Love (S1, LoD, Returns; AU Season and specials are on my list) and liked it a lot. 2) I am an EarthMix fan so I might be slightly biased.

Overall my reaction to the pilot trailer was one of relief. While I definitely noticed some areas for improvement, all in all I am now more hopeful than ever that GMMTV will do this justice.

What I really liked: - Krit Shahkrit seems like a very solid choice for the Boss. I have not previously seen him in anything but what we saw of him in the trailer has me sold. He is younger than he could have been, they are playing it a little safe here possibly, but the age difference is still big/noticable enough that I don't mind at all. - The choice to make Mo a long-time friend of Heng instead of a recent new colleague feels appropriate. Mo moving in with Heng after barely knowing each other might have not worked in a Thai context. (Also EM chemistry is too strong to sell them previously not knowing each other without the excuse of love at first sight they had in ATOTS and MLC) - They actually let Earth be funny in a BL! - On a more serious note, most of the comedic moments landed right on point for me. (The scene where Heng tries to hold Mo back by his collar as he runs away is what fully cemented it for me that this will work) Earth is a great (but severely underutilised) comedic actor and Earth and Mix as a duo have great comedic chemistry. - Earth being the younger one in a potential romantic relationship is a breath of fresh air. He's got good chemistry with P'Krit. I don't think this will actually happen (GMMTV will prob play it safe) but I could see them going for more of an actual conflict in regards to whom Heng will fall for unlike the original where it was pretty clear from the beginning that Haruta had only platonic feelings for Kurosawa. - Earth is doing great with the awkward moments. He is clearly not an actor who is afraid of being the idiot and that's very important for this character.

What I think needs to be imroved: - They need to decide how much they want Earth to imitate Tanaka Kei's style of physical comedy and then stick with it throughout. This felt a little inconsistent to me in the pilot trailer. - Mix needs to get a little more confident when facing off agains P'Krit. His performance felt the weakest in these scenes and I'm pretty sure that's because he wasn't yet completely comfortable getting in this veteran actor's face. I have no doubts that this will get better if Mix gets the chance to practice a little more with P'Krit. (I'm assuming there was not much prep work done before filming the pilot trailer because Mix was quite busy finishing his degree in recent months) Leave the respect for your elders at home, Mix!

Other thoughts: - I hope they move Mo's initial confession back into the shower. Haruta's nakedness really added to the scene in the original and Earth is no stranger to taking his shirt off for the camera so I don't see why they would have to change this. (My hope is that they changed it for the pilot trailer because they didn't want to waste time covering up Earth's tattoo(s), they could potentially seem out of character for Heng) - It seems Choko got replaced with a daughter. That's a shame. I liked her a lot in the original and I felt that she and her relationship with Maro were an important part of the story, especially on the thematic side. I'm willing to see where they go with this, though. - Thor as Ten who I'm assuming is the thai Takegawa is also a bit younger than the original, we didn't see much of him in the pilot trailer so I'm reserving judgement on this decision. - Kapook who, I'm assuming is taking the role of Chizu (though it seems that some of her advisory function might move over to Mo on account of him also being Heng's long-time friend) felt like a perfect fit - Champ has at this point become an EarthMix staple. MLC being the only of their shows he wasn't in. I'm here for it. We haven't seen much of him but I'm sure he can do Teppei justice. - The accidental hand touch while hanging up posters was not convincing. I'm reminded of the slightly awkward hand-interlocking as Jim and Wen stood in front of the soon to close diner. (Am I the only one who notices that every time I see that scene?) - I wonder if they will actually change the wedding scene to have Mo interrupt or if this was done to make the pilot trailer more concise. It would be a shame to loose this classic example of a JBL run. (They did the run in CMT, they should do it in OL!) - If I remember correctly the forhead kiss was in the original as well, but it also works as a cute call back to the atots airport scene.

TL;DR: Earth can do comedy, I'm glad he gets to finally show this in a BL. EM chemistry is chemistrying as usual, this time with more crack energy. Issues I had were probably mostly caused by limited prep time and limited shooting time for the pilot trailer. I think it's gonna be good and that makes me happy.

You spend three days with Manny.

Whiskey tasting in Westland Distillery, comparing notes and swapping glasses when you found one he loved and you hated. You come back to his suite a little tipsy, a little playful, nipping at his lower lip as he fucks you on the couch. You fall asleep, entwined with him, blanket strewn over your naked bodies as his fingers comb through your hair.

You hit the Golden Nugget casino, where you discover you’re terrible at Poker but half decent at Blackjack. You win some, you lose some, but it doesn’t really matter because you haven’t smiled like this for a long time. When the band starts to play, Manny pulls you onto the dance floor. He’s a good dancer, better than you but he doesn’t seem to care, he just likes the feel of holding you close, of the music rushing through his veins as dances with a beautiful woman.

On the last night, you sneak into the outdoor hot tub after hours, both conveniently forgetting your swimsuits. He makes love to you with the jets running, his fingers running through your damp hair as you climax so hard you see stars.

Those three days, it’s the most fun you’ve had in forever.

You’re packing your things when he enters your room, propping his suitcase up alongside of the door. He watches you for a second before he picks up one of your shirts, folding it neatly before placing it inside your go-bag.

“Where are you off to next?” He asks, before he picks up the next item of clothing.

“Thailand.” You tell him, a small smile crossing your features. “I’m writing an article about the metal tube technique and how it ties in with the culture there. It’s a very spiritual practice, I’d like to learn more about it.”

The thing he’s learned about you over the past few days is that you have an affinity for spirituality and culture. When you talk about your experiences, the rituals you’ve viewed, the knowledge you’ve gained it’s always with respect and reverence. It comes across in your writing. He’s read a few of your articles online whilst you were in the shower, and you were talented. You'd won an award a few years back for your photography showcase called ‘The Ancient Art’ documenting different tattoo methods throughout the world.

“You should send me a postcard.” He says, the edges of his mouth twitching up.

“Where to?” You laugh and that sound it resonates right through him. “Manny at the Black Bear Lodge, I don’t even know your last name.”

Manny reaches over to the nightstand; picking up the pen and paper residing there before he scribbles something down and hands it to you.

“Now you do.”

He sees the expression on your face.  He understands your reservations. You’ve been burned before. The man before him wanted a partner, someone to share his life with. You aren’t that woman, you need independence, freedom because at the heart of it you’re a nomad, seeking out adventure and living for new experiences. Trying to stifle that would be like caging a bird, it needs to be set free, to fly.

“I’m not asking for anything from you.” He tells you resolutely. “I’ve got my own shit going on. Between my kid and the Presidency, I don’t have time for anything else, but it would be nice to get something in the mail that isn’t a bill, maybe see the world a little too.”

You smile at that. He thinks you understand it in your own way. The responsibilities you free yourself from are the ones he willingly accepts. His daughter, his club, his community. He’ll never be able to break away, but he doesn’t want to. He’s in the exact place he’s supposed to be.

“I’ll see what I can do.” You tell him before zipping up your go-bag.

“I’ll hold you to it.” He teases, picking up your bag and slinging it over his shoulder.

His fingers link with yours, his thumb smoothing over the apex of your hand as the two of you walk down to your car, shoulders and hips bumping. He’s not ready to be out of your proximity just yet. He usually doesn’t have a problem with leaving but you, you’re different. He hasn’t felt this content in a while.

“Hit me up next time you’re in town.” He whispers as he tips your chin up with his fingertips so he can look into your eyes. “You’re a lot of fun to be around.”

You’re going to miss him; you realise in the moment. His easy-going nature, his humour, there’s something about this man that’s gotten under your skin, and you just can’t seem to shake it.

“I will.” You promise him, your lips brushing over his. “You’re a lot of fun too.”

Okay, for funsies, I'm trash watching 2Moons 2, and I noticed that Wayo, one of the mains, is PINK. I can't remember how he was color coded in the original 2Moons (and I refuse to rewatch it because it was terrible, lmao), but am I right in thinking most BL boys are not pink? The crew followed behind the ambulance that took Wooyoung to the hospital, not fully aware of how dire the situation was.

Seonghwa parked his car behind the ambulance, trying to follow them inside as they pushed the gurney containing the unconscious Wooyoung, but security wouldn’t allow him to proceed.

“What the fuck,” Seonghwa snarled with tears in his eyes, “that’s my brother.”

“I’m sorry sir,” the security guard said. “Medical staff is only allowed beyond this point.”

Seonghwa reached inside his jacket, placing his hand on the butt of his gun. Jongho grabbed his arm before he could expose it. “Come on, let’s go in the other way,” he said, pulling Seonghwa towards the other entrance.

Seonghwa gathered his composure and led everyone inside the other entrance. He walked up to the reception desk, explaining their situation and she directed them where to go. 

They took an elevator to the fifth floor, walked down a solemn hallway and found seats in an empty waiting room.

Seonghwa looked at Y/N with tears in his eyes, “this is all your fault,” he snarled.

“My fault?” she gasped. “How is this my fault?”

“He was perfectly fine until he was alone with YOU,” Seonghwa growled. “If he doesn’t survive this, neither will you.”

“I don’t think Y/N did anything to him,” Mingi said.

“He got injured in Thailand,” San sighed. “I just didn’t realize the severity of it.”

“Why is this the first I’m hearing of it,” Seonghwa snapped.

“I didn’t think it was serious,” San yelled. “Look, you know I would never let anything bad come to Woo on purpose and if i thought it was serious i would have said something, damn it”

“He did look awfully pale,” Mingi sighed.

San looked at Y/N, “what exactly happened with Woo? What did he say?”

“He came into the room, woke me up, saw my tattoo, got mad, and went to leave the room. As he was leaving he grabbed his chest and fell to the floor,” Y/N explained.

“Why would he get pissed about your arm? That’s hot,” Mingi asked, confused. 

Y/N glared at Seonghwa “not my…”

“You know how he gets,” Seonghwa interrupted. “It doesn’t take much to set him off sometimes.”

Hongjoong rolled his eyes, “yea guess he’s just temperamental.”

After a few hours, a doctor entered the waiting room in full scrubs. 

Seonghwa stood up, panicked, “is Wooyoung ok?”

“We have him stabled at the moment. It appears his ventilation was affected by pneumothorax. Which his cardiac output was highly affected by a reduction in circulating blood volume secondary to hemorrhage and by cardiac tamponade,” the dr explained. 

Seonghwa stared with confusion written all over his face. Yeosang stood up and said “so basically his lung was punctured?” 

“Correct,” the dr nodded. “We managed to close the wounds up and replaced the blood that was lost, now it’s just a waiting game.”

“Can we see him?” Y/N asked as tears streamed down her cheeks. 

“Yes two at a time, may go in,” the dr informed. 

“Thank you, doctor,” Seonghwa said. 

The dr nodded in response before exiting the waiting room. 

Seonghwa looked at Y/N, “come on,” he ordered walking down the hall to go into Wooyoung’s room, she followed silently behind. 

They entered the hospital room, Wooyoung was lying in the line bed, with all sorts of wires and tubes coming out of his body. 

“Oh my god, Woo,” Y/N cried, running over and grabbing his hand. “Why didn’t you tell me you were hurt?”

Seonghwa walked behind Y/N, gently rubbing her back, “he’s gonna survive this. Right, Woo? You’re not gonna let those fuckers get the best of you, are you?”

She turned her head to look up at Seonghwa and saw a tear stream down his cheek, “he has to wake up…he just has to.”

They sat in silence with Wooyoung for a few minutes before Seonghwa spoke again, “we should let the others come in too, then you can come back in.”

Y/N nodded without speaking, stood up and walked towards the door. Before she could exit the room, Seonghwa grabbed her arm pulling her back towards him. 

“I saw what you did for me the night I was drunk,” he announced. 

“How did you see that,” she asked, staring at the floor, not wanting to make eye contact. 

“I record everything that happens in my bedroom,” Seonghwa smirked as he grabbed her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes. “You took care of me the way a wife would take care of her husband.”

“I don’t know if I would say that,” Y/N argued. 

“YOU DID,” Seonghwa growled. “I appreciate it and that’s why I put my name on you because one day you will be mine. And only mine.”

He leaned down and pressed his lips against Y/N’s, gently placing a hand on her cheek and the other behind her head. 

She moved her hands onto his chest and pushed him away, “are you fucking kidding me?” She snarled as a red glint flashed through her eyes. “Wooyoung is lying unconscious right there and you think now is a good time to do this?!”

“There’s no time better than the present,” Seonghwa smiled. “And I figured you deserve an explanation.”

“Wooyoung hates me now because of you. He saw your name and now he thinks that we fucked. If this is how you conduct yourself in life, I will never be yours. I hate you Park Seonghwa!”

“Don’t be like this,” he sighed. “Woo will get over this. I promise. Once I explain the situation everything will be fine.”

“Well you might not get the chance to explain it to him,” Y/N snapped, storming out of the hospital room. 

She walked down towards the waiting room but before entering, she decided to go find some vending machines to purchase a drink. She walked down another solemn hallway. As she was passing what appeared to be an empty room, she felt a hand on her arm forcefully pulling her inside the room. Frightened, she looked up and saw Yunho smiling at her. His smile had an eerie appeal that sent mixed emotions.

“Oh my god, Yunho, you startled me,” Y/N gasped, grabbing her chest. 

“There is so much death in this hospital. I just found a room filled with dead bodies,” Yunho smiled. “Do you want to see it?”

“No I'm good,” she shook her head. 

“I heard Hongjoong talking to San about some tattoo you have that probably pissed Wooyoung off,” Yunho announced. “I want to see it.”

Y/N lifted her shirt to expose Seonghwas name on her stomach. Yunho smiled, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his switchblade. 

“I could cut that off for you, if you want,” he offered. 

Yn dropped her shirt, “no it’s ok.”

“Are you sure,” Yunho asked. “It wouldn’t be very difficult.”

“I’m ok,” she stated. 

“You look very pretty when you cry,” Yunho whispered. 

“Umm thank you,” Y/N said, scrunching her nose. “…I think”

“You’re not scared of me, are you?” Yunho wondered as he reached out to place a strand of her hair behind her ear. 

“Should I be?” She asked. 

“I’d only hurt you if you wanted me to,” Yunho announced, “or by accident. Sometimes I lose control but never on purpose. So you don’t have to be scared.”

“Ok,” Y/N nodded. 

“All this death really gets me excited,” Yunho proclaimed. 

He grabbed her hand, placing it on the bulge in his pants with a smirk on his face, “you should help me out with this.”

Y/N stared dumbfounded, searching for the appropriate response in this situation as Yunho leaned towards her firmly pressing his lips against hers. 

She put her hands on his chest, shoving him away, “stop this,” she ordered. “I need  to get back to Wooyoung.”

She quickly turned and exited the empty hospital room before Yunho had time to respond. She walked down the hall looking for a vending machine or store to purchase a drink. She smiled when came to a room containing multiple vending machines. She dug in her pockets, looking for money, unsuccessfully. 

“Damn it,” Y/N said to herself before turning to go back to the waiting room. 

“Do you need money?” Hongjoong asked, holding a five dollar bill out. 

“Yes please,” she sighed, reaching her hand out to grab the money. 

“I don’t know,” Hongjoong hesitated, pulling the money back so she couldn’t take it. “I am an asshole and I don’t think it would be very asshole of me to help you out by giving you money,” he smirked. 

“Whatever,” Y/N rolled her eyes. “I’m not really in the mood for your games today.”

“Here, little bitch, just take the money,” Hongjoong ordered. 

“What’s the catch?” Y/N asked suspiciously. 

“No catch,” Hongjoong sighed. “I'm just trying to show you that I’m not ALWAYS an asshole.”

She hesitated but eventually grabbed the five dollars from him turning around and inserting the money into the machine. She punched in the code she wanted and bent down to retrieve the bottle of water. 

She felt hongjoongs hands grab her waist from behind as his body pressed firmly against hers. 

“What the hell are you doing?” Y/N asked, quickly standing up. 

“We never had the chance to pick up where we left off when we were at the club,” Hongjoong stated. “You do have a nice little ass on you, little bitch.” He rubbed his hard dick against her ass with a smirk on his face. She quickly turned around, shocked. 

“Oh I see, you’d rather make eye contact with me,” He whispered, reaching his hands around, squeezing her ass cheeks as tight as he could. “I’m gonna make this clap.”

“No,” Y/N snapped, pushing him away from her. “I gotta go back to Wooyoung.” 

She ran out of the room with the vending machines, heading back towards the waiting room when San popped his head out of a hospital room that she was passing. 

“Woo is in here now,” he smiled signaling for her to come inside. 

Y/N stopped running and entered the hospital room, realizing it was another empty room. 

“San what the fuck,” she sighed. “Woos not in here.”

“No but I figured we could have some alone time in here,” San smiled. 

“Alone time to do what?” Y/N asked. 

“I don’t know,” San smiled, rubbing her cheek with his index finger. “I guess we could just talk.”

“Okay…” she looked at him, blankly. “What do you want to talk about?”

“You know Wooyoung gave me the ok to have my way with you,” San announced. 

“What?!?” Y/N snapped. “When did he say that?” 

“On the jet to Thailand,” San nodded. “He said he didn’t give a shit and if I wanted you then I could have you.”

“I’m not his to give away,” she stated as tears started to well up in her eyes. “He doesn’t want me anymore anyways.”

“I don’t think that’s true,” San said. 

“When he saw this,” she said, lifting her shirt to expose her tattoo, “he called me disgusting.”

San reached out and lightly ran his finger over the tattoo of Seonghwas name. “I don’t mind cumming on another man’s name,” he smirked. He reached around, placing both hands on her ass, lifting her onto the counter in the room. “I actually find it quite sexy.” He leaned down, lightly kissing her neck then running his tongue up towards her ear. 

“Oh my god,” Y/N snapped, pushing him away. “What the fuck is wrong with all of you?!? Your god damned friend is laying in a fucking hospital bed, fighting for his life and all you guys can think about is fucking me. Jesus!”

Y/N stormed out of the hospital room and continued walking until she reached the waiting room. 

Seonghwa turned to look at Y/N, “it’s about time you get back,” he said. 

She opened her mouth to speak but before she could get any words out, Yeosang came running into the room. 

“Woos awake!!” he yelled. 

Everyone ran into his hospital room without hesitation. Wooyoung looked up and forced a smile at yn. “Thank you for coming,” he whispered. 

She ran over, grabbing his hand, “oh my god, woo, you had me so worried.”

“Why the hell didn't you tell us what happened?” Mingi asked. 

Wooyoung ignored the question, “stay with me tonight,” he said lightly squeezing her hand, while reclosing his eyes. 

“A pack of wild dogs couldn’t tear me away from you,” Y/N stated, sitting on the chair next to his bed, still holding onto his hand. 

“Knock knock,” a delivery man said, entering the room, holding a bouquet of flowers. “I have a delivery for Wooyoung.”

“He’s sleeping,” Seonghwa said. “I’ll sign for them.”

He signed the clipboard and took the bouquet of flowers, setting them down on the table by the bed. He pulled the card out, reading it aloud. 

“Sorry for the inconvenience, Woo. But next time I won’t miss.

Vice Versa rewatch ep 12

Another long post that’s soaked in my tears!! 😭

Ep 12 is Crystal Clear! Because there’s no more problems, miscommunications, obstacles or anything like that for them! Now they can be in love together forever!! 🥰❤️

Now they’ve truly overcome all their obstacles and they will stay together no matter what comes their way! Officially boyfriends!

Talay’s ending monologue gets me every time!!! 😭 I believe everything he dreams about is really happening in the other universe! He and Tess still have a connection and they see each other's lives and share the info with Puen and Tun. I’m happy for all the other characters in the other world, and P’Dol for switching back!

“AND HE PAINTS MY LIFE PINK FOREVER”

is the most beautiful romantic line ever and it is tattooed on my soul!!! I’m crying real tears as I type this!! 😭🩷

That's the face of a man who’s drunk off a passionate kiss!! Gosh this show just ended so perfectly!! Puen carrying Talay into the van, showing the note where he wrote "let's go head over heels for each other", the pan up into the sky, the theme song playing one last time! I remember I had to sit there and soak in the moment the first time around.

And finally one last Lays ad as I wipe off my tears 🥲

They got engaged with the Lays tho 😭 lol I don’t even care cause it was a cute moment and I remember Talay saying “yes” in English made me extra emotional when I first heard it!

GAY MARRIAGE IS NOW LEGAL IN THAILAND AND I KNOW PUEN WILL PUT HIS ALL INTO PLANNING THE BEST PINK WEDDING FOR TALAY WITH LITTLE THINGS FROM THE OTHER UNIVERSE AND THEY’LL DANCE TO HAVE I FOUND AND LAYS POTATO CHIPS WILL BE SERVED WITH THE APPETIZERS AND THEY’LL BOTH CRY AT EACH OTHER’S AMAZING SPEECHES!!!

Final Thoughts:

This show means so much to me!! I love the story so much!! I love PuenTalay so much!! I love Jimmy and Sea so much!! It’s just a wonderful story about love and it’s just the intensity of how much these two love each other and how hard they worked to be together that gets to me!! Jimmy and Sea played these characters beautifully and you can see the love on their faces!! I loved watching them every week!!

This rewatch almost took me all year to do and I only got it done because of the rerun giving me 'real' deadlines 😅 I’m so sorry I couldn’t get to it earlier but I’m so happy I did it! I almost never rewatch whole shows, I just go back to certain scenes I liked. But this show is top tier to me and I’m so glad I got to relive all these emotions again!!

teddy is the KING of side quests. give him 2 and a half years and bro has probably achieved and experienced everything life has to offer.

he was mastering muay thai in thailand and became a part of an elite martial arts force temporarily. he was volunteering at a soup kitchen and became best friends with a local druglord in the usa. he did some odd jobs in india that had him mastering specialised forms of curse breaking. he taught english at a primary school in japan for a bit and became every school kid’s reference on their resumes that he still gets calls for years later. he visited ethiopia and roomed with an old lady who taught him how to cook all the best dishes and now he’s a beast at ethiopian cuisine. he was snorting coke in a gay club in bali where he befriended every drag queen and even performed himself because his stage presence is unmatched (they’re obsessed with his metamorphing powers). he met the prime minister of canada on the street when they were walking their dog and they exchanged numbers before teddy even knew they were the PM. he got subsequently arrested and bailed out in australia for possessing illegal drugs on him. he tried out for the paraguay national football team and got rejected but not before charming one of the players mothers so much he ended up hooking up with her and becoming opps with an entire national soccer team. he broke into an abandoned, haunted psych ward in the netherlands and covered it in so much of his street art that the place looks like a work of art now instead of something to be feared.

he also got blackout drunk one night and got a stick and poke tattoo of his ballsacks ON his ballsacks in nicaragua and had to go on a whole journey to remove it four months later himself with ancient magic he learned in the most historically reverent parts of greece. all just to remove his ballsack tattoo. he never told anyone about this. the secret (and the ancient magic) dies with him. i like to think he accidentally made himself one of the most OP characters in the HPverse because of this learning curb.

This was a fucking rollercoaster to read and my favorite part about it is YOU KINDA AINT WRONG 😂😂😂😂😂 he 100% accidentally made himself OP because he was trying to figure himself out while traveling.

PERSONALITY: Lamai is a very confident woman who is assured of herself in mostly everything. Her cockiness getting her far in business adventures, she has a knack for picking things up easily. But that said Lamai oftentimes can bite off more than she can chew. Leaving her overwhelmed and stressed. Pulled into too many directions she’ll burn herself out and end up isolating herself and quitting everything at the drop of a dime. She tends to think she is the smartest in the room sometimes and can make herself look foolish. A large ego, but fragile on the inside she is almost too touchy to criticism, and if she can’t perfect something she started she will drop it and sulk for days or hours on end. Perfectionism is something she has issues with which resulted in her moving to [location] in the first place. She tends to have a side when she gets into partying where she is either super emotional, or tends to be a bit of a bitch in other words. A superiority and dominance complex tends to come out.

HISTORY:

Lamai was born in an upper middle class family, or more or less adopted into one, doing squarely okay in school with grades good enough to get her into college. During those years Lamai was able to excel in language, art, communications, and partying. Learning English, Korean, and a little bit of Spanish. Semi Average grades almost got her no-where. Falling back onto her charming personality, little did she know it was a slight power, and was able to climb the social ladder and land herself a very good job in management and international communications, even before she fully graduated with her degree. But her 9-5 was growing boring for her, Lamai, the type where she needed to constantly have something going on so she could just sleep and not be kept up thinking about her past regrets. Having paused her partying habits for work, she picked up clubbing among many other rather wild hobbies from her college days that left her socially exhausted and numb for a long time. From intense parties, maybe too many one night stands, hustling men in billiards, her body was always busy living on the edge of either death or alcohol poisoning.

During her wild excursions she ended up falling into a ‘situationship’ with a woman, this woman was the boss of her department. Though at the time she met her boss, it was in a foggy club and Lamai may have had a bit more than just a drink or two. It wasn’t until they were both awake in the morning did they realize just the serious HR violation they committed. Did that mean they stopped? Absolutely not, both living for the high they gave each other. But neither of them claimed exclusivity with each other. Resulting in an insurmountable jealousy and constant revenge stands against them. On top of them both having to focus and concentrate on a rather important company project. Lamai was struggling to get everything just right as there was too much on her mind, and too many messages from others asking for a second night.

On the final day of the project it seemed to be the last straw for both her superior and Lamai. They got into a nasty argument in front of their entire team. Bickering relentlessly over the final detail, and soon tossing in their own personal problems with each other.

Head of HR was called into the middle of this fight. It was then and there that they both got penalized. Now a stain on Lamai’s squeaky clean record, she couldn’t perform to her perfectionist standards, soon quitting her job. One day as she was plastered laying her head on a random Korean woman’s lap sobbing away, the woman was a Demi-god, listening to her story more keenly than Lamai was aware. Not to mention that though this woman looked so miserable, the woman could feel this, teen like giggle in her stomach. Sure they were drunk and easily she was just being nice, to Lamai’s mind. But the woman did not want to let this woman not know what she might be. So they exchanged numbers, The woman extending her stay in Thailand for a couple of days to keep in contact with Lamai. Forming a quick friendship, for when the last day she would be in the country she pulled Lamai into an isolated area and explained to the woman what she thought she was. Lamai was in denial for a while. It couldn’t be, though adopted, a vague story on her mother and father, but her mother, a goddess? Plus the combination of her heartbreak, constantly seeing her former boss in the same circles.

Though Lamai didn’t like what she was told, she hated how everything in her life seemed to so perfectly align to what she is. She also wanted to know who her godly parent was, unable to sustain being in the same country as her boss. So swallowing her ego she reached out to her friend. Asking her for help, and what to do. That’s when she was invited to come to Mount Phoenix. She’d help her get a remote job, something to give her the chance to explore herself and get her the resources to find her parent/heritage as her own adoptive family knew nothing, the had no real records.

So away Lamai went, packing her bags, the remaining pieces heart, and her newly acquired dog she left. she has been at Mount Phoenix for about 2 years. Only recently getting back into her old habits and socializing.

POWERS: She has a natural magnetizing charm when she is in good and high spirits. The happier or more euphoric she feels the stronger it gets. People sometimes finding the pleasure she brings addictive. But even in her lowest depressive state she can still give some people a small bubble of joy that can feel inappropriate. 

STRENGTHS: She is a very skilled poet and literary artist, writing a craft she’s only recently perfected. Art and painting, it offers a good escape and a back up side hustle during the summers drawing caricatures and sometimes weddings. Picking things up easily, so long as she can do it right the second time, she can learn rather quickly.

WEAKNESSES: Perfectionist, to the point it ruins her she can’t let something not meet her own satisfactions. Her power tends to mess with her mind a lot, it makes her wonder if the person truly likes her or what she makes them feel. Sensitive, oh so sensitive. Though she hides it well with an RBF she is a giant baby when it comes to her feelings, not able to take criticism well, nor being able to do something right she will drop whatever it was and sulk for hours or days.
