Love albums with tracks that bleed into each other as if it’s just one long song - a continuous process. Story.

They mostly don’t exist anymore sadly because of digital streaming. But the prog rock scene still keep to that. You know because prog isn’t very mainstream.

Just enjoying a bit of Dream Theater or Tool every now and again reminds you how could albums used to be where they put instrumentation and production first.

Pink Floyd and Marillion are more lenient.

Or Genesis. Damn. Love a good Genesis album.

Or Pain Of Salvation…. God.

Still think Remedy Lane is an absolute motherfucking masterpiece. Definitely need to revisit that with these hifi headphones and TIDAL’s exceptional sound quality. Anybody got a favourite prog rock/metal albums? I’d love to discover some new prog music.

It’s not prog rock but I’m still waiting for Spiritbox to drop their full length sophomore. Need something to tie me over until they finally release what I’m sure is going to be just as good as Eternal Blue. I’ve been absolutely obsessed with that album since I heard it.

It’s just so good. It’s like the Architects meets Tesseract. Yeah, if you love Metal and you haven’t heard that one yet… I cannot recommend it enough.

had a wonderful experience of going to one of the dndads live shows and seeing your art a few times on the big screen slideshow before the show started!! ❤️

If I ever attend a live show and see my art on a slideshow, I’ll combust instantly. Every time I think I’m safe here I forget they’re lurking among us

I am so glad people are enjoying Complex Inquiries, but there's just one teeny tiny minor problem that I'm seeing.

(I want to clarify that I'm not offended or ungrateful for my lovely readers! Absolutely not! I love you all so much and I mean that, no matter what your take away was from the story.)

But having a small portion of people gender Neo as he/him in their comments after I wrote a very clear scene where Neo explicitly states it wants to be referred to as it/its or at the very least, anything other than he/him is. . .

. . . a little disappointing?

I worked SO hard to ensure that any time the word "it" was used in my manuscript only ever referred to Unit MS-1/Neo. This was something I kept constantly in mind when I was writing my prose to make sure things were never unclear in the narration of events. Not changing Neo's pronouns from it/its was a very deliberate narrative choice and not one I took lightly.

Neo is explicitly nonbinary, not because "it's a robot", but because it is art. And it is not Sonic.

I also want to acknowledge that "it" can be a very difficult pronoun for some people to use because of past trauma. I absolutely want to respect that. Neo gets a little pedantic about they/them pronouns but that doesn't mean you can't use those pronouns for it. Please feel free to use they/them pronouns instead if it/its doesn't vibe with you.

#god I really hope I'm not coming off as 'that guy'#I know that this is a nitpick #but it felt important enough to post #I know that things get confusing with Metal Sonic's pronouns in general because of the prevalence of fan headcanons #but I'm talking about for my fic specifically where its gender and pronouns are explicitly stated #there's a full scene where Neo decides what pronouns to use #if I hadn't been so direct about it I'd be happy with all pronouns #that's why I'm being a stickler about it #oh and. guess I should put a warding spell on this post just in case:#TERFS BEGONE #delete later

#another bonus under the cut where i got up under their big head to get 'em a little closer and a little more front-facing #aggron #aggron is just cool. a big metal bitch who *could* hug you but is probably actually just gonna obliterate you. is that anything #i think i prefer lairon more. it's kinda just a little metal creature and i think that's awesome but aggron stands up #and normally i'm a big big fan of when pokémon stand up. when everyone wanted sprigatito to not stand up i was like #please stand up. because i am a furry and i knew it was gonna become favorite pokémon material if it did. and it did and meowscarada is #wonderful and i love it and it's one of my top like 10 of all time. but aggron is like. i dunno. a little too gruff for me #i think aron and lairon are cute and i'm generally a fan of and user of cute pokémon but aggron is very. how you say. aggressive #and also… ron… aggressive ron. new show on netflix i just reinvented aggretsuko but for pokémon #also weirdly every furry on the face of the earth likes aggretsuko but for one i've never had a netflix account and for two i just #don't ever watch shows. it's just not something that works in my brain. having to get them‚ and then just taking the time to sit down and do #it just never does anything for me. the last show i watched was because i was over at a friend's house and he was like hey. we're watching #this show now. i want you to see this show. and it's a show that folks generally lamented for a lot of reasons so i was like iii dunno about #that one! but he was like no trust me it's fine. and then i was like. kinda uninterested at first but it turned out to be really good #and i'm still ashamed. that i liked it as much as i did. so i will not say what it is. it's not supernatural. it's a short-ish show #but like it was good and i didn't expect it to be. which has nothing to do with aggretsuko OR with aggron for that matter #literally idk. look it's distraction (AGGRON DISTRACTION)

The keychain i preordered from @toydrill arrived today! (And on Nishiki's birthday it's literally all about my favs) My metalocalypse merch collection is slowly slowly growing.
