There are two gifs where Timmy turns his entire body, not just his face, to listen to Armie in two different interviews. This gesture, I feel, tells a lot about their dynamic. Tim has never done anything like this for anyone else. I saw them a long time ago, and they came back to me when I started reading OBGE. Could you please post them? Thank you very much.

there is a big difference between a spontaneous chemistry that you probably don't even realize to show and it' s unstoppable and that manifests itself in the gestures, in the looks, in the movement of the body compared to a natural behavior and kindness with your costar (to be clear what I' ve seen in Venice) so sometimes I smile when I read some comments because it' s clear to everyone that he has never had this behavior with anyone else in public after Armie like you said Anon. I don't know which gifs you were referring to because there are so many but I'll put for you the one that hit me for the first time, one of the reasons why I'm here ... this looks totally with Timmy's defenses down .. pure sweetness totally uncontrolled.

B4. Who is your current favourite author? What is their best story? 

Ohhhh goodness, straight out of the gate with the hard hitting questions. I have so many favorites: for QAF my favorite is LaVieEnRose with her series The One Where Justin Loses His Hearing ; in CMBYN I adore the 2004 series by Marauder_the_Slash_Nymph and Poetry In Motion by mae428; in CMBYN RPF I am delighted by @onlyastoryteller ‘s Nom de Plume ; in CMBYN RPF AU love @bartbarthelme ‘s Where We Know series and @iworshipyou-oliver ‘s In Training; and in Good Omens nothing compares to Slow Show by @mia-ugly 

I’m a terrible multi-fandom mess. 

B7. Which character is your favourite to read about? Why? 

I love to read about Oliver - there’s so much about his character (at least in the movie-verse) that I relate to. He’s fairly gender-conforming and pursues the option to get married to a woman, yet we know he has this great same-sex love. Reading about what drives him to make the decision he does and the ways in which he understands his sexuality and gender is always fascinating to me.

C2. What word or expression always makes you cringe when you read it? 

The use of meat as a euphemism for penis/cock/dick.... there are so many other words, why use meat? Gross. (Also I have a low tolerance for excessive “I love you’s” but, much like cilantro in Chipotle’s guac, if what surrounds it is good enough I won’t nope out). 

C3. Is there anything that makes you nope out of a story? What is it?

I had a greater tolerance for this when I was newer to fandom things but 1-dimensional characters will make me lose my interest in a story. Characters who are portrayed simply as villains especially. I love a “bad guy” but I want to know what happened to make them “bad” and I want it portrayed in a realistic way. The “bad guys” are often my favorite characters (see Brian Kinney) when there’s a good back story and someone who sees the good in them and makes them believe it (ugh now we’re getting into what I love in stories). Also, see above for excessive I love you’s and the like. Finally, angst without a happy ending or angst that doesn’t serve character development and major character death. I hold enough pain and trauma daily for my career, I don’t need it in my fic.

An Update + Memory Loss + How To Save A Life Part II

(How To Save A Life post from September.)

Shortly after my last posts, many things took a turn for the worst. I attempted to end my life again and was almost successful.

The reason I became involved in the fic community last May was the healthy, positive release it gave me from my (then somewhat manageable) mental health decline.

That was six months, 18 pounds, and a few s**c*de attempts ago.

My memory and cognitive function are reduced because of my most recent and severe attempt. It's not pleasant but it's my own doing.

I haven't read Find Me because I don't remember enough of Call Me By Your Name.

I haven't read a fic update since my last post for similar reasons - I don't remember a lot of things about the stories.

(On a positive note, it seems like my memory is easily jogged by fic. I was able to figure out where I left off with @timotheemonamour 's fic.)

I looked at your usernames and they are familiar; I am even able to match them with stories here and there. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

The things I said in How To Save A Life are ringing true again.

The little brightness I see from usernames says something to me - I'm not sure what that means because my optimismis nonexistent.

But seeing @onlyastoryteller @dreamofhorses42 @isitandwonder @franciswilloughby @lookingforatardis @lfg1986 (@nightwashx and @declanisms your username changes threw me off; I have so much of your story to read) and many others put a small smile on my face.

It's never my intention to give up hope for my own life or to disappear. So promising otherwise seems cruel after the immense amount of kindness you all show me.

But I'm trying and am actively avoiding situations where I am at risk.

That's what led me to open the Tumblr app. I asked myself if there's any safe and positive outlet (physical artwork is off limits). I instantly thought of AO3 and you brilliant writers.

I hope to immerse myself in this world again; the genuine enthusiasm it brought me was a highlight of my year.

So, thank you all once again, more than I can say. I've got a few fics that look the most familiar open; I'm going to try to read them and find that fic world once again.

Favorite character to write about this year: I loved writing Elio the medic in Into Darkness, but I’m also loving writing Oliver the Dom in Colour Me Beautiful. I have to say, the Dom character is the harder one to write, that’s for sure! 

Any new fics to start next year:  I have a lot of ongoing fics at the moment (Colour Me Beautiful, Hide Me In Plain Sight, Call Me By Some Other Name (hiatus) and Above All Else (hiatus!)...

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to share my work in this collection, thank you @StarFromPhoenix, @lfg1986, @onlyastoryteller, and @stmonkeys/chalamazed for organizing this event!

For creating crochet and cross stitch patterns you need a lot of Xs and they build an intriguing map for handcraft adventures!

This is my contribution, which I'm finally able to share! I created a pattern from one frame of the scene on the Berm, where Oliver and Elio kiss for the first time.

In this first chapter, I'd like to show you all the shawl/rectangular wrap I made from this pattern in filet crochet technique. The second chapter is going to show the cross stitch and in the third chapter I'm sharing the pattern itself!

Hopefully most of you'll like and enjoy this unusual approach for art in the CMBYN Big Bang. :)

But here we can say such harsh and hurtful worlds to each other. This world is full of hate and anger let’s please as educated youth of the world be the foremost in spreading love and compassion. There is no reason in the world that justifies hurting another human being. Let’s all live in a space where there shouldn’t be any shame of liking anything anyone wants. Each person is unique and special... I don’t have to believe in everything all the rest believe in. Let’s all love let love and let each other find their happiness in whatever path they choose. In the end let’s RESPECT one another for our own unique lives which deserve love and happiness

Do I read Charmie fics ? It’s practically the only thing I do with my life at this point 😂😂

Let’s see, I’m probably going to forget half of the things that deserves to be mentioned but here are a few of my favorites — even if none of them isn’t really surprising, I guess :

Between the Lines - co-written by @694699​ (LivefromG25 on ao3) & @foryou-insilence​ (ForYouInSilence ao3) — unfinished and very unlikely to be updated again but the insane quality of the 47 chapters is worthy of every frustration. I’m not sure I have read a characterization more beautifully made in a RPF story, on this fandom or… any other fandom tbh.

Anything by my talented and lovely wife @workslikeacharmie (Shush7 on ao3) but my favorite of hers is Seven. Everything is so beautiful and breathtaking I don’t even know where to start. Just read it.

Anything by @lookingforatardis — the favorites of mine being the Home serie (co-written with @charmie-inspiration  (NiciJones on ao3)), a rollercoaster of feelings and I love every moment of it and of course Hammer Lodge, aka the Softest and Flufflyest AU ever written. Oh and Is this okay ? too, since I’ve decided to consider this one canon.

Anything by @shes-gone-rogue (ShesGoneRogue (VexedbyLoki) on ao3) if you’re looking for schmoop, fluff, feelings and of course smut. Probably not the most known but I have a soft spot for Quiet Morning. The prompt was beautiful and the story is even.

The Cor Cordium : a Neighborhood Pub by @onlyastoryteller (going rogue (onlyastoryteller) on ao3). As it may shown on this selection so far, AUs aren’t usually my first choice but when the writer is this kind of talented, I’m on board with anything. So read this one, and read everything else by the same writer too.

I don’t think I’ve read all of their works yet, but I’m very enjoying  anephemeralmind stories (not sure if they’re on tumblr ?), lot of smut but fun and feelings too. Unsolicited (AU) has been completed recently and Where Do I sign ? (semi-AU I guess ? Is that a thing ? No wife and kids in this one) are the two that pop in my mind right now.

The Alchemy of Butterflies Serie by KendylGirl (not on tumblr either ?) I don’t even know how to describe this work except to say that the writer has a lot of beautiful feelings and love for Armie and Timmy and it shows.

But also in a random order No one asks you if you’re ready & it’s not like I believe in everlasting love. by barthelme on ao3 (I’m pretty sure they’re on tumblr somewhere but I can’t remember if its the same user name or not ?) and anything of theirs. Very unique and enjoyable style — Don’t pile up by @nellipot (also nellipot on AO3) : cuteness overload — Livin’ on a Prayer aka the Motorcycles AU we all desperately needed and that @raquelsantos92 was very kind to provide — …and probably a thousand more stories that doesn’t come to mind right now. I haven’t read everything so I apologize to the amazing things that most likely deserved to be listed here but that I don’t know yet.

Right now (literally right now), I’m reading By The Firelight’s Glow by lfg1986 (don’t know if they are on tumblr either) and really enjoying it. Armie and Timmy in a cabin around Christmas time.

Here We Go Again

I've not posted for months - big surprise there. But everything I write is torn to shreds by "not good enough" anxiety. How does a nonfiction author - mostly in the personal finance sector - even begin to get into creative writing? Not ready to put my name out there but I promise my "real work" is nothing special.

I've written hundreds of poems. But Call Me By Your Name and fellow fans/writers broke down my barriers. My free time is spent reading their stories and sitting in awe of their talent. I will never reach such heights but I'm giving it a shot.

A special thank you to @noodlekugel and @starfromphoenix is due. Your work is beyond measure and your kind responses to my AO3 comments are inspiring. Equally in awe of @bartbarthelme @teahousemoonao3 @lookingforatardis @ingrid-sterling @delongpaw @onlyastoryteller and manymore - I'm sure I'll find your Tumblr pages soon.

I've no idea where to even begin. Suppose I'll scroll through the prompt tags. I won't even attempt CMBYN related work until I've reread my paperback edition and reread my notes on it.

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to share my work in this collection, thank you @StarFromPhoenix, @lfg1986, @onlyastoryteller, and @stmonkeys/chalamazed for organizing this event!

For creating crochet and cross stitch patterns you need a lot of Xs and they build an intriguing map for handcraft adventures!

This is my contribution, which I'm finally able to share! I created a pattern from one frame of the scene on the Berm, where Oliver and Elio kiss for the first time.

In this first chapter, I'd like to show you all the shawl/rectangular wrap I made from this pattern in filet crochet technique. The second chapter is going to show the cross stitch and in the third chapter I'm sharing the pattern itself!

Hopefully most of you'll like and enjoy this unusual approach for art in the CMBYN Big Bang. :)
