Summary

Vampire Armie lives by a moral code, choosing to lead a violence-free existence. But when his packaged blood supply unexpectedly runs short, he needs to find sustenance in an ethical way. Heading into town on Halloween, of all nights, Armie is lured by a scent he thought only existed in old crone's tales--the sweet, sweet smell of a member of the fae.

I know this isn't Rescue Me. There will be more of that, I promise, but I thought we could all use a momentary distraction from (waves hand around at the whole fandom and world and everything).

Anyway--I started this as a fic for a writing challenge @tandaforever put together in October 2023, but just couldn't get it done then. It remained half-baked until last week, when the fever dreams that accompany an out-of-the-blue case of covid set the rest in motion.

Anyway, this is dedicated to all my fandom friends--especially all you chaos demons--and anyone else who feels like coming along for a ridiculous AU ride.

This is fun (thanks for the tag, Grace!), though I just spent a stupid amount of time agonizing over what to post. Gonna copy you and do something old and something WIP:

This is from an old story called let your heart be light, which is part of my Stucky little windows series:

“It’s a kids movie,” Bucky frowns.

“It’s a wholesome holiday family classic,” Sam corrects.

Bucky raises his eyebrows and looks around the room. “Are you my wholesome holiday family?”

Sam gives him the finger.

“I’m gonna tell your mother that you skipped out on church, came over to Cap’s house with booze and exposed me to vulgarities.”

“I know you’re a previously scary person, but believe me when I tell you that nobody will ever find your body,” Sam replies, not even looking away from the Netflix menu.

And this is from the GBBO AU sequel, which is a WIP that I have been trying to work on more lately, but it’s been rough:

It’s not like they’ve never talked about it. They’re pushing ten years together, after all — the topic has come up.

But it’s always been kind of indirect — an afterthought or a laughed off joke when the inevitable question is asked by a friend or family member. So will you two be next? When will you guys take the big leap? What’s taking so long, hmm?

And they’ve shrugged and smiled and waved it off. Muttered assurances about being comfortable with where they are. About not needing rings and a piece of paper. They’ve taken quiet rides home and squeezed each other’s hands. Torn each other's clothes off in the front hallway of their home and made promises with their bodies right there on the floor.

Okay, so maybe they haven’t exactly talked about it, but they haven’t not talked about it either.

Working for some designs of an AU of mine, in which Charmy and Cream, now 15 years older, are the new heads of the Chaotix Detective Agency

Round 2 of the Fae! I bunched the Chaotix and the Rabbits together, they seemed to fit!

So the Chaotix still work together, they have a range of skills between them (Vector can swim/dive, Charmy can fly and Espio is great at stealth and climbing) so they often take on odd-jobs for other fae. They're not high members of a court and they don't have much on their own, Vector and Charmy specifically don't care for fancy dress although Espio likes to have nicer clothes for festivities. Most Fae trade goods in exchange for things but these three pay in favours instead, they make a rag-tag group but they always get the job done. They like to play music together, Charmy's flowers make excellent instruments!

Vanilla and Cream are always together, they're from the same family of flora and share a fauna (in-appearance) so they're particularly close. Vanilla is exceptionally skilled in both baking and tailoring, she sews with silk and her flowers give her vanilla bean. She's a highly respected member of the Spring Court due to her luxury items for trade. Cream is Vanilla's helper, she's learning how to sew and bake and helps with things like harvesting and deliveries, she has a similar status in the court as a result - they're both just well liked by most fae.

Despite the difference in status, the Chaotix and the Orchids are very friendly with each other, Vanilla often asks for favours and gives them plenty of goods as payment (Espio seems to be the only one who realises the favours aren't really necessary). Vector's infatuated but he assumes Vanilla wouldn't look his way, but he tries to do his best to impress her doing busywork. Charmy and Cream are close friends - they like to fly around and play in the wind with the bees.
