The youngest son of King Viserys I and Queen Alicent Hightower. Out of the three Targaryen brothers, the people liked him best, due to his courteous and clever personality. Daeron was deemed the most gentle of his brothers, and he was more comfortable acting out orders than giving them.
His dragon, the blue mount Tessarion, who breathed cobalt flames, was his pride and joy. And at the age of twelve, he was sent to serve as cupbearer and squire to Ormund Hightower, in Old Town. That’s where he has resided for the many years away from court.
Daeron acquired his name, ‘The Daring,’ because he saved Ormund from defeat during ‘The Battle of the Honeywine.’ On the back of Tessarion, he flew, burning, destroying, and gaining the upper hand. After this, the Hightowers feasted and there Ormund knighted him.

So I’m pretty neutral when it comes to the Dance in that I like both sides in different ways. Rhaenyra is the rightful heir to the throne, that’s a fact. And between her and Aegon, she’d be the best ruler. At this point, her and her kids would lead Westeros into a better future. BUT. The Green characters are more interesting to me. Right now I find Jace, Luke, Joff, Rhaena, and Baela to be extremely boring but Aegon, Aemond, and Helaena? They’re so damn interesting to me that I care about them more. I’m gonna be more upset when Green characters die than Black because the show gives them more depth.

I am truly hoping that daeron is the spitting image of alicent. not only will it make complete sense for him to be shipped away from kings landing after his birth because his very appearance goes against otto's usurping propaganda that alicent's kids are "true targaryens" while rhaenyra's are "half breed strong boys" but alicent having to look in the face of the only normal child in the family surrounded by monsters for brothers and an already half gone sister and seeing his face of disgust and fright and it's her face. it's her face staring right back at her

Genuine question, not be be rude or anything. But since in the next episode Aegon is going insane and Helaena is drowning in grief, when are they going to make Maelor?Like he was already VERY important in blood and cheese in the book but in the in the show he’s not born yet.Even though he’s not going to have a long life or a happy ending(Martin when i catch you)he’s still important, especially for Daeron character.
So…Are Aegon and Helaena going to…yk on screen?

was real busy this week so no time to draw, but i had some little chibi heads lying around that i didnt have a real use for so i wanted to try my hand at some character relationship charts 😌 i used to really love reading them when they would be compiled for old jrpg or visual novel games i was into, so i thought it'd be fun to explore some finwean dynamics i personally tend to lean on in my fics n comic wooo

Alright, so... Alicent is willing to trade Aegon's life for Jaehaera and Helaena. And implicitly Aemond as well, since he's not going to just meekly surrender.
And you might as well throw in Daeron's life. Rhaenyra said it herself, in order to secure her claim, she'll need to remove the opposition. Daeron would be the last living son of Viserys, he's marching with the Hightower host against her, and I doubt he's going to be skipping with joy to find out Rhaenyra executed his brothers. To those who oppose her, Daeron will always have a superior claim.
So, in reality, Alicent's trading all three of her sons' lives away. I'm not sure if that's the best deal, especially when she has no guarantee that Rhaenyra will not have her daughter or her granddaughter (Jaehaera would inherit her father's claim and would be an easy puppet ruler) imprisoned, sent to the Silent sisters, or worse.

Aegon, Aemond, Helaena, and Daeron looking at Alicent after she washes her hands of a war, that she (and Otto) dragged them into, and the throne, that she (and Otto) forced them to grasp/fight over even though they obviously didn't want it, and goes off to live her best life while they are all still stuck in a cycle forced on to them without their input (obviously this is about the s2 final):
Tumblr media
#anti hotd#like....what were they doing with alicent in s2? like-#in s1 they had great foundation for pushing her character and her belief as to why her children would be under threat from just existing#(even if u like rhae- understandable- it's not hard to take a step back & understand some of ali's pov#especially when daemon comes into the picture)#there's buildup for why she's forcing this on to her kids (murky but still) & still shows that she loves them in a complex way#heck there was even room to show her after all this also wanting to be close to the throne trailing into s2 whatever#but then s2 shits on that by making everything that happened in s1 hold no weight & ali (& otto) basically ruin their kids lives#like i like alicent but s2 makes no sense characterwise & makes her just...a bad character overall#like ive always felt bad for her kids bc ali was wrong a lot of times but u understand it bc toxic/complex family relationships where the#love is still there but it's complicated#but now post s2? i feel sorry bc their mother pushed them down a path and then left them to live her life?#HUH!?#fanfic writers save me!#aegon ii targaryen#aemond targaryen#heleana targaryen#daeron targaryen#alicent hightower#kind of...anti alicent hightower too?#hotd showrunners really ruined this family & it frustrates me so bad#dni if you can't have a collected conversation about this#like “sorry sweeties mommy wants to makes amends with her childhood crush so rip!”#(& this is from someone who ships rhaenicent)

Considering the high number of twins in Lúthien's line what if it didn't just start with Eluréd and Elurín. What if Thingol and his brother Olwe were twins, and if not them then what about Elmo and Olwe or Elmo and Thingol? And also if we go with the version where Daeron is Lúthien's brother, they could be twins too!
Idk I just want more twins for that line!

I ignore about 95% of the conversations surrounding Arya having killed people because, outside of Arya stans, people refuse to include the context of the very violent circumstances she experiences + her trauma which influences her actions. She wasn't destined to be a killer and her being forced on the run, having to survive during a war (at times on her own), having to witness countless people being tortured and murdered, being enslaved as a prisoner of war, having to witness the deaths of her family, etc. are all hugely important factors. Not to mention the times when her life is literally on the line and she has to make tough decisions to ensure her survival. The only time her trauma is acknowledged is when people are using it to prove she's "too far gone", otherwise it's essays on how she hasn't suffered that much. It's so boring how people ignore well-developed characters just to reduce them to one or two aspects of their story. And this treatment is only for certain characters; let someone mention Sansa being part of the plot to poison Sweetrobin and all of a sudden, people can understand being forced to make questionable decisions under difficult circumstances.
