Detroit Become Human and why does this game decide that the problem in society is individual people treating androids poorly because those androids are choking them out of the workforce and NOT the corporations and governments who deliberately designed the androids to do this

#atlas entry#from what I understand broadly speaking āthe leftā does not exist. at least not in the the way āthe rightā does#āthe leftā is just a political alliance of convenience between people with sometimes seriously varying views#who only banded together bc of their common cause against the right#bc you can draw a pretty straight line between neo-liberal establishment Republicans and far-right groypers#but the difference between anarcho-communists (good) and authoritarian communists (stupid) is so vast that the two may would be opposed on#pretty much every issue except the ācommunistā part. and even on that front there's plenty to disagree on#in fact. and this is me swinging wildly at a hornet's nest. I would say but for the communism authoritarian communists should really be#considered right-wing (because of the authoritarianism). the fact that they're communist doesn't make them any less fascistic#I think one of the big issues is that ācommunistā has become a ābig tentā that people use as short-hand for a number of other positions#so many people stopped identifying as feminists when they started identifying as communists bc they think communism includes feminism#(it doesn't)#or they stopped identifying as anti-racist bc they think communism includes anti-racism (it doesn't)#so when you talk about fascist communists it creates a cognitive dissonance where people are like#āBut wait fascism is all the bad things and communism is all the good things so how does that workā#and like no. communism is just an economic theory. that's it. it doesn't necessitate anything else#Anyway this wasn't meant to be about why authcoms are stupid but they are so I don't feel bad for saying so lol

I hate when something looks like it would be RIGHT up your alley and the cast is pretty stacked, but there's one person in said cast who is just. Genuinely a horrible human being.
#and then for the sake of. not giving that one person my time or attention or anything. I see no way beyond just not watching the thing#OBVIOUSLY the focus should be the people who were hurt by said horrible human being#that IS in fact the important consideration here#I guess this is more...really just the fact that it happens so often?#because there are COUNTLESS examples to draw from of this particular type of Horrible Behavior and similar variations of it#like the entertainment industry is just. SO bad.#and that makes it unsafe for the people WHO ARE LITERALLY JUST TRYING TO MAKE ART#(and tangentially makes it harder for other people to engage with that art or acknowledge the work those other Not-Horrible people#put in. like congratulations you did direct and lasting harm to others. which in and of itself is a point of condemnation--the MOST#IMPORTANT point of condemnation. and then ON TOP OF that. extraneously. to add insult to injury. you secondhand-ruined#the experience of other people partaking in the sharing of and engagement with art.)#'well mc13 you could just watch it anyway it doesn't have to be done through streaming'#maybe other people could do that but I personally cannot handle engaging with this at all. it would stress me out and sicken me to#the point where there wouldn't be anything good to come out of watching it. my friend from public speaking saw me down the hall and went EEEEEBIEEEEEE !!!! and ran up to catch the elevator with me. we went for a walk around a nearby park and took in the destruction from the hurricane together ^_^
#also I hung out with a couple buddies the other day !#we talked about conspiracies and Existence and shit#it was awesome#im on the school discord w/ one of them and he's super chill I want to hang out with him again#I can always spot him because he has the POOFIEST hair I've ever seen#he had a SICK fucking backpack that was like. some goblin thing out of the 80's. it looked soooo cool. we ate lunch together#I asked him where he got it and he said some website along the lines of Joyful critters. and I was like does this critter bring you joy#and he was like Oh yeah#we were supposed to go to a live model and draw naked people but they cancelled it because of that bitch Helene#I have so many friends here .. it's so nice ....I want to hang out with and get to know all of them !!!!!!
